Chapter Text
When he spots Hoseok, he's leaning against his white Buick with his hands stuffed in his pockets, hood pulled up, and swallowing his face. It's been drizzling on and off since this morning, his boots squeak with every step he takes. A smile breaks free once their eyes meet. He sidesteps a puddle and gets the wind knocked out of him when Hoseok's arms draw him into a tight, breath-stealing hug.
"Min Sugaaaa!" he exclaims happily in a playful tone. Hoseok's no strong figure but he tugs his body around with his easily.
"Hope-ah," he returns and then they're separating due to the rain picking up it's pace. They can continue their reunion in the car. He tosses his travel bag into the backseat and climbs into the passenger's side.
Hoseok looks just the same, only with longer, darker hair framing his face. Still skinny as ever, with slightly chipped nail polish on his nails.
It takes two and a half hours to get to the south side of Jeolla and there's hardly a minute of silence the whole car ride. Hoseok has all these questions and stories and Yoongi doesn't mind listening to his rambling and dramatic expressions, it's nice to have this again.
"You didn't tell anyone you were coming to pick me up, right?"
"No? Don't think I did,"
"Okay, good. It's sort of a secret."
"No one else knows!?"
"Well no, Taehyung knows. And my parents. But I made them swore they wouldn't tell anyone yet,"
"And Jungkook?"
"He doesn't know either," he says with a scheming smile.
"I lied over the phone and said I'd be released in November, he's got no clue,"
"What!? You're surprising him?"
"Yeah, and as you know, Taehyung's throwing a party for him for his birthday. Taehyung and I have been planning it out, I'm gonna sneak into his place and come out with a cake,"
"He's gonna freak! I can't wait to witness this,"
"So no word about me being out to anyone, got it, Hobi? Just until tomorrow,"
"My lips are sealed!" he swears.
Discretely sneaking into Taehyung's is easier than he thought it would be when most of the people present are nameless to him. Taehyung and Hoseok are pretty much his and Jungkook's only mutual friends - the rest of the people, he hasn't a clue who they are. He ignores stares from a few people in the corner hushing between themselves. He's not exactly one to be recognized but he's not going to pretend he's not somewhat well-known within the industry. He passes them with a small, soft smile. The girls seem surprised he's acknowledged them and quietly snicker to themselves. That - he'll have to readjust to as well. Being known as Suga and not Min Yoongi. Not that he gets much public attention to begin with. But it is comforting when random strangers tell him how much they like his work. "He's upstairs playing a drinking game so just hide out in the kitchen for now," Taehyung fills in.
A couple of people sneak into the kitchen to chat with him, not really friends of his but people he sees at parties or on Taehyung's Instagram. If anyone ruins this for him he'll seriously be pissed.
When Taehyung's decided it's time, Hoseok and he light the candles on the cake while Taehyung takes guard by the kitchen archway. He's been anticipating this for days. He can't wait to see the surprise form on his face.
"Kook, it's cake time, get your ass down here!"
He takes notice that a few people have started recording him as he makes it down the stairs, friends, he guesses, drunkenly yell out to him. He takes a nervous breath. It's go-time.
"Happy birthdayyy," Taehyung starts to singsong, a cue for him to make his move. He sings louder as he walks into the living room, Hoseok in tow, as he goes to face his best friend.
Jungkook's reaction is priceless. His mouth falls open and a smile takes over. "Hyung!" he's frozen like a statue for a prolonged moment before his feet are moving towards him, Yoongi meeting him halfway with his lit-candled cake. He holds it out for him and waits for Jungkook to blow them out. His attention however is not on the cake. “What’re you doing here!? I thought you were discharging next month!"
He's definitely tipsy. He sees it in his eyes but the smile he wears is entirely infectious. "Blow out your candles!" he impatiently instructs because everyone has gathered around them and Jungkook is still standing there stupefied. Cheers erupt when he finally blows out the flames.
"How did you get out early?" he yells over the commotion.
"I lied because I wanted to surprise you,"
"Well consider me surprised, I can't..ugh, come here," he says and rings him into a tight hug. "Guk, the cake!"
"Sorry, sorry, " they depart and Jungkook allows him to set the cake down. "Shit. You're back,"
"Indeed I am," he grins. He's got more tattoos. His hair has grown out a little in the front. Still got shiny, twinkly, eyes.
"I can't believe you lied to me! I was going to throw this big welcome back party for you,"
"Please, no, I'm not big on surprise parties,"
"Oh, come on, we can still-"
"There you are!" a voice chirps behind them. A platinum blonde figure comes up behind Jungkook and wraps his hands around his waist in a back hug. "Sorry, I'm late. My Uber took forever. Can I have a bite of your cake?"
“Get your own slice, thief,” Jungkook slightly backs out of his embrace and sticks his tongue out at him.
”But I’m on a diet, just one bite?”
"Fine," Yoongi watches as Jungkook feeds him a bite.
Jimin then turns to him and beams. "Oh, my apologies! You're Yoongi, right!? Taehyung filled me in on your guys' little surprise plan,"
"You knew?" Jungkook asks astonied.
"Of course, I knew! Aren't you shocked I kept it a secret? It was really hard to keep my mouth shut,"
Yoongi watches them engage. They seem to be close or close enough to initiate physical contact with one another. "I'm sorry," he starts. Clearly, this Jimin character is a new addition because he doesn't recall ever seeing him around or Jungkook ever mentioning him. "I don't think we've been introduced, what's your name?"
For a fraction of a second, Jimin's smile falters but he quickly covers it up with a strained, faux grin. "I'm Jimin," he says. "We've never met before, but I've heard lots about you from both Jungkook and Taehyung,"
The two share a look, Jungkook being the first to look away and back at him. It's like they're communicating with their eyes and Yoongi hasn't gotten a clue what it is they're talking about. Jimin brings a hand down Jungkook's back and goes to turn away. "Anyway, I'll let you two catch up, it's nice meeting you, Yoongi-ssi!"
"Likewise, Jimin-ssi,"
They both watch him walk away and over to a group of people playing some card game on the floor. Yoongi breaks the silence. "New friend of yours?"
"Yeah..uh, hyung...actually...could we go talk somewhere for a minute?"
"Sure, lead the way,"
Jungkook takes them out onto the vacant balcony and slides the door shut. They both go to lean against the railing looking over the lively city.
"So. Um. I've been meaning to tell you and I told myself I would once you came back, but I didn’t think I was gonna see you so soon..”
"Okay.."
He watches him take in a breath and exhale. "I'm uh, gay. And Jimin is not a new friend I made...he's my boyfriend."
Yoongi blinks back at him.
What?
"Jeon Jungkook!" he starts with a mild swat at his shoulder.
"Ow, why'd you hit me?" he rubs his shoulder.
"Why did you never tell me you're seeing someone!"
"Are you not going to comment on the other thing?"
"Do you want me to?"
"Maybe? I was kind of-scratch that, I was nervous to have this conversation with you,"
"Really? Why?"
"I don't know! Saying it out loud is still a little new, so.."
"I am the last person you should be nervous to tell this to, Guk. But I'm so happy you felt comfortable enough to confide that to me,"
"I wanted to tell you so bad while you were away but it was just something I really wanted to do in person, not over the phone,"
"And..Jimin? Why haven't you told me about him? He's a cutie, by the way,"
"I know, I just knew If I mentioned him I'd want to tell you everything, and I couldn't,"
"How long have you guys been together?"
"A few months, knew each other a little bit longer." He does a shy little smile. It's cute. "We met through Taehyung, I guess they used to be friends during school or something, and the last time he came up here Taehyung introduced us. But Jimin recently moved here for this really prestigious school he dances at,"
“He’s a dancer? Oh my…”
“Contemporary dancing, and he’s really good, he’s been dancing since he was like eight,"
“Wow,”
"I don't know why I didn't tell you, I feel silly now,"
"It's alright. I guess I should've seen this coming...you did have an eerie obsession with G-Dragon,"
"He has a lot of male fans, shut up," comes his defense.
"And do they all have his poster on his bedroom wall?"
"I was sixteen, hyung, come on,"
They both snicker. It's so good to be back. It's so good to see him again, in the flesh, joking around with him lightheartedly.
“Are you coming home tonight?”
“I'm going to my parents for the weekend but then I'll be back up,"
"Oh, okay. Tell your parents I asked about them, I miss them,"
"I will definitely tell them you asked about them. I know my mom misses you too, I'll likely be bringing some food back,"
"That stuff your mom made the one time with the little dumplings and spicy sauce!"
"That's her own recipe too and she would probably give it to you in a heartbeat if you asked,"
"Maybe next time I will," they both grin stupidly.
Cool, cool. His best friend now has a boyfriend - and that is totally fine and...cool. Not to say he cares about his newfound preference, Yoongi's bisexual himself and has been out to him and their close friends for going on six years. It's not a big deal. He just always assumed Jungkook was the straightest guy ever. Seriously, the way he acts and how shy he got around girls...Or maybe he mistook that shyness for discomfort.
Now that his identity is out of the bag he gets to catch up with other mutual friends and pose for pictures because everyone's got their damn camera out and demand they take a picture together. Jungkook has gone off somewhere else and doesn't see him much for the rest of the evening. When he looks up at some point, Jimin's got his arms draped over his arm and leans close to whisper something in his ear.
Definitely something he's gonna have to adjust to seeing.

His mother's first request the morning after rest is to help her plant begonias and feverfews. It's the season for them, she claimed, and his mother takes her gardening very seriously. She hands him a pair of garden gloves and they kneel in the soil and get to work before the afternoon rain swoops in. Through the cracked window he smells an aroma of garlic and ginger. His father fixes them lunch and listens to a station broadcasting a soccer match. He hears him cheer and curse at certain moments and his mother chimes in too once their preferred team has taken the lead.
The next day he hangs out with his aunt and uncles from his mother's side at their country house. His little cousins don't leave his side for even a minute, they demand he participate in their games and ask him a billion and one questions, and Yoongi's too soft for their adoring faces to object to their pleading requests. They spend the better of the afternoon playing games and sipping on beer after beer because his uncle keeps replacing his empty ones with a new one. He doesn't get drunk but there's a pleasant buzz and looseness in his body that has him relaxed. He missed drinking. He missed his family. He missed so much he tries to not get emotional about it.
Just as he expected, his parents send him home with Kimchi and all sorts of snacks. "Those are for Jungkook," his mother says. "He likes those,"
"Got it, thanks mom."

Their place isn’t that different since the last he’s seen it. Everything is still the same, same red couch, same shitty water pressure, same guitar-filled living room. It's like he never really left. The only thing missing is his equipment left everywhere, his torn-out papers with scribbled and crossed-out lyrics on it. Jungkook's guitars, however, are all over the place. He must have been inspired. Making new music. He gets in a frenzy sometimes like this.
Jungkook looks to have been coming back from a run when he finds Yoongi unpacking. "Hey! I thought you were coming later on?"
"Took an earlier train,"
"How are your parents?"
"Great - my mom packed some snacks for you, dad made Kimchi,"
"Oh my god, your parents are the best!"
Jungkook's already rummaging through the bag his mom prepared for him. He rips open a bag and starts munching. Yoongi bites back a grin.
“I see you’ve collected more guitars,” Yoongi notes. “That Telecaster is new, right?”
”Yeah, it is, I bought it for myself for my birthday, got a good deal on it too,"
"You been tuning my guitars while I'm gone?" he impishly asks.
"Of course I have, I play your acoustic a lot when I'm writing,"
He only has two - his chestnut brown Takamine Acoustic and a black Fender his dad gifted him as a graduation present. Jungkook, on the other hand, has several and he's very specific about them and takes the greatest care of them.
Thankfully there isn't much he needs to unpack back into his room so he and Jungkook spend most of the afternoon lazing around and just talking about this and that and what he's been up to. It's been a while since they talked on the phone, three or so months, and so much can happen in that amount of time when you're a famous idol.
"So what have you been up to since..you know.." Leaving his group. Jungkook broke the news to him before it went public, when he was only contemplating it and asking Yoongi for advice. Leaving a group, four years in nonetheless, is a big, complicated decision to make. Not to mention breaking a contract with a label is troublesome. Lawyers have to get involved. People turn on you. Malicious rumors get spread. He's seen it happen time and time again. And now Jungkook is taking the fall for wanting to step out and create his own path.
"I'm going solo," he says as he places his guitar back on the rack. It's what he's been wanting. And it took a lot of reassurance over the phone from him to coax Jungkook into actually going forward with it. "I signed with a new agency, which is something I also wanted to talk to you about,"
"Okay.."
"The label that signed me is uh, yours. They reached out to me shortly after everything went public, they said they had their eye on me for a while,"
"Mine?"
He nods. "I signed a contract last week. They released an announcement a few days ago so it's official,"
Jungkook - at his company? What? "Shit. You got signed quickly. Were there other offers?"
"There were a few other contenders, yes, but yours won over the others. My lawyer approved too,"
Yoongi's been adamant about suggesting Jungkook pursue his company down the line, they've had a conversation or two about it but never considered Jungkook actually joining the same label he works at. "I can't believe you've joined the label,"
"It's still a little surreal, but I think I've made the right decision,"
He nods, somewhat processing the news. "Your fans are gonna support you,"
"But I'm disappointing them too." he says deplorably.
"Don't think about the disappointment. And you'll gain even more fans along the way,"
He nods and tilts his head back on the couch. He seems tired from his run, his eyes resting temporarily as Yoongi moves around.
“You going back to work right away?” he asks.
“Yeah, I called them a week ago about being able to work after getting released,”
“Really? I thought you might take some time off,”
“I don’t see the use, I’m looking forward to going back to work,”
He hums at that.
Yoongi goes to join him on the couch. “Did you um..did you come out to your parents?”
“Yeah, I did. It wasn’t so bad..but my elders don’t particularly agree with my parents, but, whatever, I can’t please everyone,”
“No one can,” he agrees. Yoongi doesn't think he's the best at comforting people but he lays a hand on Jungkook's shoulder gently. "Whatever, I'm proud of you anyway,"
"Thanks. It's been a...weird year. But a good one, definitely a good one."
"I can't believe you have a whole boyfriend," he says teasingly.
"What? Think I have no game?"
"I didn't say that, I just, I don't know. I've never really seen you in a relationship. It's cool. You seem..happy,"
"I am," he agrees. "I really hope you guys get along,"
"Jimin seems nice," he offers because he doesn't really know what else to say. They've had a single conversation so he can't make much of a judgment off that.
"He's amazing, hyung. Really."
Yoongi will have to take his word.

Turns out Jaesun will be officially debuting with the group starting as soon as next month. His director tells him so as he's sipping on his morning chai tea.
The song they were meaning to release still has Jungkook's voice on it, so he's requested to edit Jungkook's out and record Jaesun's vocals.
The thought of recording a new voice to replace Jungkook's sounds plain disrespectful, but he's not in a position where he can voice an opinion on the matter. They want him to produce their next single and Yoongi is going to give them a damn good song either way.
They've changed buildings since his last visit, this one's way bigger, with more floors. Fancier. More staff. Even the lobby itself is quite lavish from the marble flooring to the velvet furniture. Guess having talents with global commendment under your label helps fund this building. And they sure make a show of it if all the awards and portraits in the lobby were anything to go by.
He'd led onto an elevator and then they're ascending to the twelfth floor. Someone named Chan leads him to where he'll be recording. He doesn't like using other people's studios. He likes his own equipment, all the settings they're on, the familiarity of it. The comfort. But alas, he does what he will for the sake of work and because KYT's management asked him personally to come up and work.
He can't shake off how weird this is. This is the guy that's replacing Jungkook. He heard the song this morning, the version with Jungkook's voice, and the one without. The song is tasteless without him. But this is why they called him, so he can make up for the lack of Jungkook's voice. To make it sound better. And well, he can try his best.
A soundboard tech walks into the room, definitely a new hire, because Yoongi's usually exceptional when it comes to remembering faces he works with. They chat for a bit and go over a few guidelines for what they'll be recording. He sounds laid back but intelligent, and Yoongi's glad it's not someone who's going to be hovering over him.
There's a knock at the door and then it opens. "Hello! Sorry, I went to the wrong floor," he half-heartedly bows and goes to sit in a chair.
The soundboard tech assures it's fine, he was a mere few minutes late, anyway.
And then it's his turn to speak. "Hi, I'm Min Yoongi, I don't believe we've been introduced before," They shake hands. He seems nervous and his eyes are wide as he waits for further instructions.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Park Jaesun, I'm excited to work together," he practically stumbles out.
"Likewise,"
They let him warm up a bit and replay the song back on the speaker. "I highlighted the lines you'll sing," the tech speaks.
He's nodding, and Yoongi is subtly observing him as the assistant speaks. He's tall, skinny, short, neatly trimmed dark brown hair. Definitely young in the face.
He goes into the studio, the door shutting behind him.
"We'll start with the first line," he instructs into the mic.
Jaesun waits for his cue and starts to softly sing. His voice builds momentum too quickly though and it sounds a bit awkward.
"He needs to slow it down," he speaks to him lowly. Yoongi agrees. They have him start again and the second take is better, but still not it.
The assistant asks him to do it an octave higher and it makes both of them satisfied enough to move onto another line.
He's a soprano. But he's using vocal methods that are ordinarily reserved for an alto. It's interesting. He has a unique voice. It's still decent, though, and maybe this new vocalist of theirs will be able to brighten the song up a bit.
"On the 'thinking of you' part, can you add a little flair towards the end of it?"
Jaesun is a bit nervy but he's good at taking criticism and directions. His attitude is positive and accepting.
"Great. Moving on."
Yoongi gives him a thumbs-up through the window. He beams and removes his headphones. Finally, they're finished.
He hates to think this but Jaesun will be a nice fit. Not to say he's as talented as Jungkook, but there's definitely potential right there.
Yoongi thinks he'll do just fine.
[Kook] hey
[Kook] will you be home for dinner?
yes
i'm leaving here soon
[Kook] okay
[Kook] so, would it be cool if jimin had dinner with us?
of course he can haha
[Kook] okay : )
Yoongi comes home to Jungkook chopping vegetables and stirring a pot. "Hey," his head picks up at his entrance. "What're you making? Want any help?"
"I've got it but thanks. It's bulgogi,"
"Oh, I love when you make bulgogi. My stomach just rumbled,"
"I'm glad you're hungry, I overestimated how much I'd need so there will definitely be leftovers,"
"Fine with me. When's the boyfriend coming over?"
"Soon - half an hour? We'll see. He's not the best with time."
"I can help set the table?" He offers, wanting to help him look less distressed.
"Thank you. I appreciate you!"
He takes notice that Jungkook's got wine glasses out too.
"We having wine tonight?"
"Yes! I picked up some sweet red."
"The dry is better," Yoongi calls out.
"Yuck. No one thinks that," he opposes.
"How was work?"
He finishes setting the utensils down and joins him in the kitchen and leans against the panel. "So - I met your replacement today,"
He resumes mixing something with his hands. It looks like cabbage. "They found one already?"
"They haven't officially debuted him with the group yet, but they were confident enough to have me record some demos with his voice,"
"Wait - really? They asked you?"
"Yup. Not sure why but I didn't really question it."
"Who is it?"
"It's a rookie. I doubt you'd know them,"
"The name, hyung?"
"It's Park Jaesun, he's three years younger than you. Decent singer."
"So you already know this guy?"
"Not really, I know his voice, never met the guy before today,"
"Wow.." Jungkook looks momentarily stupefied. "I mean, I still wish the best for them. I hope they're not still pissed at me,"
"They'll get over it,"
"Yeah, well, I don't know. Luz unfollowed me on everything. He didn't even say anything to me before I left. Kinda sucks."
"Luz will realize one day you made a decision that was best for you, I'm sure he'll come around,"
"Maybe." Now he looks forlorn and Yoongi regrets even mentioning Park Jaesun or his ex members.
"Anyway," he clears his throat, "is it a special evening tonight?"
"Jimin's getting the solo finale for his recital, he was an understudy for the lead, but she sprained her ankle and was assigned off from further rehearsals. Jimin's gonna be the star of the show now,"
"That's pretty cool. Though, I feel bad for the person who sprained their ankle. They must have been pissed,"
"Oh, I would've been devastated if that were me, but Jimin's seriously so talented, he deserves the spotlight,"
"I don't doubt it, Taehyung says he's seen him dance at a few shows, and seemed pretty mesmerized,"
"You should come to opening night!" Jungkook enthuses. "Me and Taehyung are going, you should come too if you're free,"
Eh, dance recitals aren't really his thing, don't get him wrong. Can't he just..take their word that Jimin dances well? But it seems like a big deal to not only Jimin but him as well, and he guesses he should play a more active role in both his and Jimin's relationship to show his support. "I don't see why not,"
"Jimin will be stoked to hear you're coming,"
"Oh, really?"
"Yeah - he's actually nervous around you. Thinks you're a little intimidating,"
"That's a laugh,"
"Right? I told him you're just a big softie with resting-bitch-face,"
"You told him I have resting-bitch-face? You're an ass,"
"But it's true! Sometimes you just look pissed off and I know it's only your face,"
"I'll work on that,"
Jungkook snickers. This is exactly what Yoongi missed.
"It's nice to have you back, hyung. It's been lonely here by myself... and I have to do all the cooking and cleaning,"
"You poor thing. Doesn't Jimin come over?"
"Sometimes..but we're both busy, so not often."
A doorbell resounds and it makes them both look up.
"That's probably him - do you mind getting the door, hyung?"
"Sure," he makes his way over to the door.
"Oh-Yoongi-ssi, hello!"
"Hi, come on in, Jimin,"
Almost shyly does he remove his shoes. "Kook's in the kitchen working hard,"
"It smells delicious already!"
It's cute he's put so much thought into this for Jimin. It's peculiar to see this new side of Jungkook he's never seen before. A more soft, vulnerable side of him that apparently Jimin's brung out of him.
After some time, Jimin gets up and slips into the kitchen to come up behind Jungkook and hook his chin over his shoulder. He looks away and tries to immerse himself in this movie with a very predictable plot.
"It's ready," Jungkook calls from the dining area, Jimin in tow helping him place different dishes on the table. Jungkook made a plentiful amount of sides for them to enjoy.
"Hyung," Jungkook calls and it makes both him and Jimin turn to him. Jungkook laughs. "Sorry, Yoongi hyung,"
"Yes?"
"Do you know where the corkscrew is? I swear we had one somewhere but it's not in the drawer,"
"I've got one in my room," he gets out of his seat.
"In your room?" he questions.
"Be right back,"
He used to drink wine by himself in his room - so what?
The corkscrew is in the same place he left it. He returns and takes the initiative to uncork the bottle of wine for Jungkook and pours a small amount into each glass. "Congratulations, Jimin. Jungkook told me the news about the show you're doing,"
He looks partly embarrassed but sees the excitement in his eyes. "Thank you! It's my first big role, so I have to prepare a lot before opening night,"
"You'll do well! Fighting!"
They clink their glasses together and start to dig in. Jungkook was right about making a lot, and his taste buds are in heaven. He's missed his cooking.

When Yoongi blinks his eyes open, there's a cloud of smoke drifting above him and out the cracked window. He scrunches his nose and pulls the sheet over his lower half and turns on his side. Yoongi watches his cheeks hollow around the stick. He always smokes after a long round or two. At least, that hasn't changed. Jooyoung's hair, however, has grown since the buzzcut, his jet black hair now at a long enough length to style. He's got some sort of fade going on on the sides, too.
"You can sleep here if you want," comes the familiar offer.
"Thanks - but I've got a conference early tomorrow," Yoongi sits on the edge of the bed and slides his shirt back on and then his pants. He had no idea he'd be back here.
"Hey - it's nice you're back,"
"Missed me?"
"You know it. All the younger guys are clingy and get attached,"
"Maybe you should stop fucking twenty-year-olds,"
"Then that would mean I'd have to stop fucking you,"
"I meant literal twenty-year-olds,"
"Does five years make that much of a difference?"
"You can go through a lot in five years, you should know that yourself,"
"That's fair." Yoongi gets up and grabs his phone and keys. His ass hurts. It's been a long while since he's had sex.
Yoongi stops at the door. "Don't worry, I'll be back,"
Jooyoung does that irritating smug look he hates. "I know you will be."
𓆩ꨄ︎𓆪
It's a long, tedious meeting. Attendance was required for the monthly discussion of their recent revenue. Who's booming and who is not meeting their predicted sales requirements. Duties get assigned. People start throwing out suggestions and ideas. Yoongi tries to contribute and offer his opinions but a lot of other people speak over him and don't pay much attention to his suggestions. It's starting to annoy him. He keeps glancing at the clock above the door. How long can this go on for? He's starting to get hungry.
"We're hoping our recent addition will be beneficial for the company moving forward." Oh - they're talking about Jungkook. "He's a popular idol and his fans are waiting for his next move,"
"What if we make his first single a collaboration, someone that's widely admired,"
"Like who?"
They all throw their hands up and suggest name after name. A collaboration isn't a bad idea at all. But he has a feeling Jungkook will want to debut his song with his voice only.
After another prolific half hour, they're finally dismissed. Yoongi can't get out of there fast enough.
He's coming out of the elevator and spots Jungkook coming down the hallway. He's got a flannel over his graphic t-shirt with baggy ripped jeans on. His fashion has certainly changed too. "Oh, hey! I was just about to come see you,"
"I'm leaving, that meeting made me want to jump out of a window,"
"That bad?"
"Too long. I'm hungry. You free?"
"I can grab lunch, yeah,"
There's a strip of retail stores and restaurants down this way of the city. It's not a long walk before they find somewhere to eat, Jungkook points out a chicken place so it's a given they end up there.
"So, what do you think? Are people being nice to you?"
Jungkook is nodding with a mouthful and swallows. "Yes, they've been nice, everyone is really kind,"
"Have they given you a song, yet?" while his meeting seemed indecisive about what direction Jungkook was going in, Yoongi's sure Jungkook has a better idea than any of them.
"They've been playing me some stuff, I met with someone earlier about lyrics, that's uh-sort of why I wanted to come see you. I have a question,"
"Yeah?"
For a flash of a second, he looks nervous, but then he's got a coltish smile growing. "Let's do it." he says. "let's work together, hyung. I want you to make my song,"
