Hermione Granger smiled devilishly as she dipped some apples in different types of caramel. “Matt dear, I am in the kitchen making my famous caramel apples for our friend's party at Stephen’s place.” She called out to her boyfriend, Matt Murdoch when she heard him enter their shared apartment.
Once she finished with the caramel apples, Hermione placed them on the tray to let them cool down and found Matt snuggled underneath the blanket. He held up the end of the blanket so she could snuggle with him.
“Tough day dear?” She casually asked Matt before kissing him.
“You could say that! I am ready for some downtime with you, love.” Matt grinned as he felt Hermione’s magic growing stronger each day.
“Now are you sure we want to go to Stephen’s? We could enjoy a nice quiet evening here. I know how Pansy gets when she hosts something at the Sanctum Santorum.” Matt wiggled his fingers for emphasis and Hermione giggled.
“It will be fun! The rest of the gang will be there.” Hermione threaded her fingers through Matt's wavy brown hair.
Matt sighed as he leaned back in Hermione’s arms, “It's been awhile since I used to do superhero things. I am out of practice and….” his voice trailed off when Hermione kissed him sensually.
“We need to be supportive of each other! Pansy promised to cook some of her famous chocolate lava cakes.” Hermione pouted a bit until she heard Matt sigh.
“Alright we will go.”
“Yes!” Hermione exclaimed excitedly, eager to see her friends.
–
Meanwhile, Pansy was decorating the Sanctum Santorum with Wong’s help. “Oh these glowing cobwebs will be so cool hanging over there! Ron will definitely freak out!!”
Wong quirked a smile when he remembered that young Mr. Weasley was deathly afraid of spiders! “I trust Stephen went along with this?” He asked her apprehensively as he knew Stephen was away on a mission.
“Oh yes! He wants to be here, but the mission comes first!” Pansy sighed as they finished up the decorations when the first couple arrived.
“Welcome Steve and Astoria! Don’t you two look frightful!” Pansy hugged them as they wore matching vampire outfits.
“Thank you! I see we are the first ones here. Need a hand in anything?” Steve asked, wondering if he could help out.
“We got everything covered! Hi Hermione and Matt! Yum those caramel apples are to die for!” Pansy cackled as she took the tray from Hermione.
Hermione and Matt dressed up as a witch and warlock when they went over to hug Wong, Steve and Astoria.
“This ought to be a fun night!” Matt exclaimed to Steve, who wholeheartedly agreed as the rest of the gang showed up.
Victoire, Wanda, Charlie and Bucky all showed up at the same time. “Wow nice decorations Aunty Pansy!” Victoire exclaimed, hugging her godaunt.
“Thank you!” Pansy beamed when she hugged the rest of the group. “I think this is everyone? Is Ron coming at all?”
Charlie shook his head no and with a wave of his wand got the Halloween music playing. “He will meet us for the Samhain festival though. Where is Stephen?” Charlie asked, looking around for the Sorcerer Supreme.
“He's on a mission.” Pansy replied as she poured out the Halloween spiked punch with Frewhiskey. The orangish color liquid actually tasted like spiced cinnamon pumpkin.
“Mhhhm …this is a really excellent brew!” Hermione exclaimed as she downed hers in one go much to the other's surprise.
Pansy smirked as she tried one of Hermione’s pumpkin chocolate apples. The tasty treat was borderline semi-sweet as the flavorful fruit mingled in her mouth. “Really outdid yourself this year, Hermione!”
Hermione beamed as the rest of the group tried the delicious caramel apples.
“These are so good!” Bucky exclaimed as he tried a dark chocolate pumpkin one. “Stephen is missing out on this!”
“Missing out on what? Sorry Pansy dear, they insisted on joining us this year.” Stephen waved his hand towards Loki and Thor.
“Oooh caramel apples, may I?” Loki asked Hermione politely as she handed him one that she thought he would like.
“We need to liven the party up!” Thor exclaimed as he found the Halloween music selection and started to scroll through the playlist.
Stephen sighed as he felt Pansy’s stare at him. “I did say they insisted dearest. And those two did save my life!” He pointed to Thor and Loki, who were jamming with the rest of the group.
“Remind me to take them to our Samhain party brother!” Loki exclaimed as he was thoroughly enjoying himself.
“Samhain on Asgard? I am in!” Hermione shouted enthusiastically as the group danced and swayed to the music.
Hermione gave Matt a big damn kiss right in front of everybody.
Matt calmly smiled as he felt Hermione’s enthusiasm rolling off in waves as she gyrated and started to dance with Loki and Thor.
“A game of Twister?” Pansy asked the group as she held the board game up for them to see.
“I haven’t played that in a long time! It should be fun!” Hermione exclaimed as she helped Pansy set everything up.
“Okay we are doing this in teams. Hermione, Matt, Loki. Thor, Victoria and Wanda in the first round!” Pansy pointed to where they should stand while the others watched amusedly.
Hilariousness ensued when the game started up for the newcomers as they tried their best to maintain balance. “Sorry!” Victoire was the first one eliminated when she fell face first on the plastic mat.
The winners of the first round were Matt, Hermione and Loki. “Next!” Pansy called out as the next group stepped in.
Stephen, Wong, Charlie were against Bucky,Steve and Astoria. Pansy called out the different colors for the new round. Astoria lost her balance and caused Steve to fall along with her. “Sorry, dear.” Astoria groaned in defeat as Steve helped her up.
“I got these guys!” Bucky rubbed his hands as Pansy called out “Right hand green! Left hand blue!”
Both teams got tangled with each other as they toppled to the floor and laughed.
The clock had chimed midnight when they shouted “Happy Halloween” to one another and hugged each other before they left to go home.
