The sun hadn't even peeked over the horizon yet, but the phone on his nightstand rang the same. A hand fumbled around, searching for the vibrating device till skin met metal. Without a glance, the amber haired teen knew who it was, and with a smile sleepily growing on his face, he answered.
"..Heya." His voice making it evident that he had just woken up moments prior.
"Keef! Dude, I just found out this whole thing- Wait, were you asleep?"
Keef rubbed his lids with a warm smile. "Hehe, yeah... But I needed to wake up anyways.." He looked over to his analog clock, those neon numbers blinking as it showed a time far too early to be reasonable. And the raven haired teen wasn't taking that one bit.
"Yeah, no- I know what time it is man, and even I know that's not true." The sounds of paper shuffled around in the background. "Look, I'll just tell you later-"
"Noo...." Keef murmured out, "Come on, you got me awake already, and now I really wanna know. Can't just leave me hanging!.."
A brief pause was held between the two, before a sigh translated through call. "Fine..." Dib relented. "Sometimes I wonder why you let me wake you up in the ass crack of night." Even though they couldn't see each other, he knew his midnight was smiling.
The light cursing made the sunshine snort and chuckle for a moment. "...I just love hearing you talk."
"..Shut up man," The ginger chuckled at that, "Now, I can't believe I didn't see this before, it was right here in my face, practically screaming at me!.." Dib had begun his rambling, and Keef got himself comfortable, putting him speaker and settling the phone right beside his ear on the pillow.
He knew this would last through the night, and he was all for it. Yet for all of it, he keep a little sleepy smile.
