Work Text:

“Leo it’s time for bed!” Foolish says.
“Whyyy!” Leo groans.
“You’re gonna get tired if you don’t go to sleep now,” Foolish says.
“Just 5 minutes I’m almost done with my drawing!” Leo says pleadingly.
“Leo you said that 10 minutes ago. Come on let’s go to bed before Vegetta gets back.”

“Are you going to carry me? And are you going to read me a bedtime story?” Leo asks.
“Of course I will now let’s start with your first request,” Foolish replies back.

Foolish picks up Leo. He looks at Leonarda’s grumpy face and kisses her cheek before setting her on the bed.
“What book should we read?” Foolish asks Leonarda.
“Can we read the one with the caterpillar and it’s hungry?” Leo asks.
“Of course I can.”

Foolish looks over to the shelf next to Leonarda’s bed and grabs ‘the very hungry caterpillar’.
“This one?”

Leo nods as a response.

“In the light of the moon a little egg on a leaf,” Foolish says.
“One Sunday morning the warm sun came up and — pop!— out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry caterpillar.”

“… On Wednesday he hate through three plums he ate through three plums, but he was still hungry.”

“He started to look for some food. On Thursday he ate through four strawberries, but he was still hungry.”

“… He built a small house called a cocoon, around himself. He stayed inside for two weeks. Then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out and…”

“And what?” Leo asked sleepily.
“And he was a beautiful butterfly!” Foolish replied.

“Goodnight and can you keep the lamp on?” Leo asks.
“Of course Leo,” Foolish responds.

Foolish kisses her and leaves.
