Chapter Text
The day had been going quite smoothly for Tommy. He had woken with enough sleep, gotten ready within a few minutes and went downstairs to his cafe. Yes, Tommy owned a cafe, his own cafe. Despite being sixteen he was able to get the funds to open a small cottage core cafe hence the name ‘TommyInnit’s Cozy Cottage Café’ but despite all that he barely got any customers even with all the decor he put up. Usually each night he’d be munching on the leftovers upstairs.
He lives upstairs of the cafe where originally there was a salon but the owner had decided to move it to somewhere else and gave Tommy the keys to the upstairs place after he offered her a free coffee (he made her pay eleven cents) and Tommy took it willingly and made it his own room while he flipped off his own landlord at his old apartment.
He was able to get all the things he needed and flew out of there with his bed arriving a few days later which he successfully was able to build in under ten minutes (he wasn’t). So that was Tommy’s life basically, having to sit on a stool waiting for customers to come in which they barely did. Flash forward to today with Tommy sitting on his stool arms slumped on the counter on the verge of sleeping when suddenly the bell on top of the door rings. Tommy quickly stands up and puts on his best customer service smile and looks at the customer. Tommy pales. There in front of him stands Icarus the no. three villain in front of Tommy looking at the menu on the top, like he's some regular customer. Now Tommy thinks of the logical things to do and he does the best one. Treat him like he’s a regular customer. “Welcome to TommyInnits Cozy Cottage cafe or as i like to say TCCC anyways! what would you like.” Tommy said, hands on the register.
He could tell the brunette villain was definitely confused about his reaction to him but ignored it. “Uh, could I get a mocha caramel latte made with skim milk, no whipped cream and two shots of espresso with one shot of hazelnut and exactly three pumps of vanilla with four ice cubes in a large cup, make sure to not fill it the whole way.” Icarus finished, taking a deep breath, smiling innocently. Tommy looked at him with the most bewildered expression he’s ever had. “Um, hello? Coffee person.” He said waving a hand in front of Tommy. “I’m sorry sir but could you repeat that or, get out og the store!” Tommy exclaimed with an annoyed expression.
Icarus sputtered, “Wha- huh?” he said with a confused expression looking at Tommy and before he could finish Tommy spoke. “Listen man, can't you j-just order a normal order and not like your some mean girls character from a nineteen sixteen movie!?” Tommy said, throwing his hands in the air. “What?! I-I Am not a mean girls character!” He argued, “and besides, aren't you scared of me?” He said, throwing his arms in the air too. “The only thing scary about you right now is how long your order is and your blindfold.” Siren sputtered even more looking at him with an annoyed face, his eyebrows furrowing together. “My order’s not that long! You gremlin child1!” He shots back pointing at Tommy. Oh he wants to point fingers huh, well two can play that game. Tommy points back. “It's longer than my English essay for school.” Tommy says, “And bigger than your forehead.” He finishes off with a snicker, “YOU GRE-” icarus was cut off when a huge crashing sound came from outside. “Oh my- can you just make my order.” Icarus says crossing his arms, Tommy decides to give the man a bit of mercy.
“Yea, yea anything else.” Tommy says, looking at the cash register. “Just a black roast coffee” Icarus adds, Tommy nods and goes to make his drink. He spends too much time then he likes on the drink before making the black roast catching a glance or two at the villain behind him. For some reason the villain keeps shooting glances out the window at the night sky. Tommy doesn’t pay much attention to it and finishes the order. He takes a black sharpie that's next to the cash register. He writes the name on the Icarus's order and on the other he writes something that makes him snicker, giving the cups to him ignoring how Icarus grumbles looking at his cup. “Bald bitch? Really?” Icarus says in a tired tone. “It's true, anyways that's going to be 28$ and 17 cents in total.” he says as Icarus hands him the money before leaving the cafe. Tommy looks back at the door while the bell aggressively rings from how he closed the door. Maybe he should close for the night. With that he turns the sign from open to close walking back to the register to put the money in when he sees that instead of 28$ there’s a hundred crumbled up bill. Tommy looks at it before putting it in his pocket. He's definitely going to go to McPuffy’s tomorrow, he thinks putting the crumpled up piece of paper in his pocket and takes his apron off putting it to the side before grabbing the keys and locking the door putting all the curtains down walking to the back room and going up the stairs up to his small room. He quickly changes and puts the crumpled up bill in his wallet before letting himself fall on his bed peacefully closing his eyes.

Technoblade squinted at his cup to where apparently his name was supposed to be written. Instead ‘Dear person, I feel very sad for you knowing that you are friends with icarus. He is a bitch.’ He looked at his cup for a few more minutes before subtly nodding. This person knew Technos pain.
