Summary
He hoped that Phil at least was comforted by them. He hoped Phil had moved on. He missed them so dearly, but it's been a long long time.
Tommy sighed, about to doze off again. Tommy's made peace with the fact that he'll be in a cycle of sleeping and waking until he doesn't one day. There's no getting out of it, no matter how much he clawed at the top.
Or: Tommy has been stuck at the bottom of the ocean locked in a coffin for the past several years. He'd just given up hope, until one day the coffins brought to the surface.

Snippet from Day 31:
The thing is, the gods are not so kind. It is not often they gift mortals with their favour but when they do there is always a drawback, something to keep the balance. To remind the mortals of their place despite their power.
For Tommy, it is pain.
The pain of the person he heals, specifically. When he was born, he did not come into the world screaming and cold and confused. He came into the world wailing with pain, a power in his veins he could not control – that saved his mothers life, but it left him with a terrible ache through his body for the rest of his days.

The man, Philza, placed a hand on his shoulder. “We just want to help you-”
“Don’t touch me!” Tommy slapped his hand away, his eyes locked on the door across the room. He needed to get past them, to risk it all for an escape.
A second later, that same door opened, revealing a head of long, pink hair. He removed his coat, but froze as he saw the commotion at the front of the hallway.
“Heh?”
“Techno!” Wilbur yelled out with a smile.
