Work Text:
The bright yellow lights raining down on the expanse of tables, floor, and decorations. The music that spread through the room was composed of cheers, cries, and screams, accompanied by the melody of the plastic chips softly hitting the tables and the cards being handled with skilled fingers.
The mix of colors coming from luxury clothes, fake ones and the ones that try their best to blend in, almost outshined by the jewelry around delicate necks which no one had a chance to know if it was real. The dolls that slipped under the arms of the ones with power, chasing that money no matter what they needed to do, necks adorned with a red collar.
The mixed scents were intoxicating and sometimes nauseating. Some used scent blockers, but others, that liked to brag and show off, didn’t wear them, spreading their scents like it’s a privilege to smell them.
Hyunjin loved going through the casino grounds. Heeled feet on the red carpet, eyes on him and on his black and red collar with a charm dangling, wanting to touch, desiring him but not being able to touch him or even get close to him – he’s owned, and loves being owned.
The familiar path of the ground floor of the casino feels relaxing, even with the cacophony of sounds, blazing of lights and storm of scents that could make someone faint, makes him feel powerful and on top of the world. Hyunjin stops in front of two big doors, adorned with golden figures, two guards securing them. They bowed to Hyunjin, opening the door for him.
The change of scenario is magnificent. From bright lights to dim red lights. From the loud sounds to whispers and low music. From the nauseating scents to the neutral scent of the blockers. Hyunjin made way around the table in the middle of room, currently holding a game, to the booth reserved for them, special behind the dealer.
Hyunjin sat right on the view of the dealer’s back – black dress tight on his hips and body, the silhouette of the panties visible under the right light, tight shirt and tighter vest, waistline perfectly shaped – his arms going for the back of the couch, eyes permanent on the dealer, the world zeroing on him.
This was Hyunjin’s favorite time of the day.
A knock on the door pulled Chan out of the words of the report he had on the desk. It was the last one of the day, and not that important, just routine report, so the distraction was welcome. He allowed the person to come in, and a staff member opened the door, bowed, and went in front of the desk.
“I’m sorry to interrupt, Bang-ssi, but this is an issue that we have been dealing with for some time, but now it requires your say.” The staff said, placing a file on Chan’s desk “There is the file of Jung Siwoo, the grandson of Jung Sehun of Jung Tech company. He’s been in the VIP Area for around six months now but has been disruptive and breaking rules. We have been warning him for a while now, but we didn’t deem him as dangerous. But a complaint from boss Kim from the Kim clan made us take the issue to you.” Chan grabbed the file and started going through it.
“If boss Kim personally made a complain we cannot let it slide” Chan commented absent mindedly, just going through the file, skimming his eyes through it “I see he recently took over the company. It has not been doing well lately either.”
“Yes, Jung Sehun says he might go back to be the CEO if his grandson doesn’t change.”
“Hmm” It was the typical, spoiled, alpha brat that can’t accept denial of anything. Chan encounters many of those, knows how to shut them down. They always cause problems and are so annoying. He was becoming bored with the file, it was more of the same, until he reached a particular page.
There was a photo of a man, an omega judging by the black, thin, silk collar, hair curly and fluffy, black glasses, cute button nose and full lips. He was dressed in a normal suit, holding files in one hand. He was cute, looked very muscular for an omega, but that captivated Chan even more, a shiver going down his spine and a protective feeling taking over. Next to the photo was a name: Seo Changbin.
“Seo Changbin?”
The staff nodded “Seo Changbin is the secretary of Jung Tech since the previous owner. From what we know, Changbin is Sehun’s adoptive child and has been living with Sehun.”
Chan hummed, still looking at the picture, feeling uncomfortable about the black, silk, lifeless collar around his neck. Chan then placed the picture next to the photo of the seven of them “Tell Hyunjin and Felix to go and talk with Siwoo. Minho will take care of the rest.”
The staff nodded and bowed before leaving the room for the task he was ordered to. Chan kept looking at the omega on the photo with one thing in his head.
You will look good with my collar.
Changbin already had his resignation letter ready.
Not because of the job. He was actually very hesitant to leave this job, it was that sentimental for him. Grandpa Sehun gave it to him because he always saw Changbin as a reliable person, just like his late father. Grandpa Sehun even wanted to give him the same position his father had – COO – but Changbin felt like it wasn’t a good position for him.
That and the amount of harassment would double. Everyone would find a way to manipulate or harass an unmated omega, COO or not.
He loved working with Grandpa Sehun. He was firm but gentle too, he never let Changbin’s omega status be a factor, he always judged Changbin on his performance as a person, not his subgender. Sometimes the job would be hard, and he would stay many late nights, but he loved it, nonetheless.
It wasn’t the job; it was grandpa’s grandson Siwoo. Changbin met many stuck up, violent, and idiotic alphas, but working for one was a first and he didn’t fucking like it at all.
Siwoo was everything a typical alpha was – stuck up, spoiled, violent, idiotic, misogynistic, so on – he was the biggest piece of shit Changbin has ever seen and that says a lot with the amount of people Changbin interacts with.
Siwoo doesn’t do his job at all. The company is going downhill so fast that Changbin was worried about their clients, their sources and everything basically. Siwoo, when he started, had only one goal, entering the VIP Area of LEVANTER with his newfound position. Now that he was finally in there (Changbin still doesn’t know how he got in) he was spending company money. Money that should be to make the company grow.
It was getting ridiculous, this VIP Area thing. Changbin is already acquainted with the staff members in here from how many times they approached him to warn him about Siwoo’s behavior. The guards even started to greet him, same with the staff.
At least three mafia leaders already know him by name, always trying to get him to work for him. Boss Lee, boss Jeong and boss Kim come talk to him sometimes, asking if he’s sure he doesn’t want a new job. Now he’s considering accepting the offers – they were alpha mafia leaders, but they would actually treat him with respect.
Changbin was a bit distracted when someone approached him. He recognized Jihu, one of boss Kim’s secretaries, a nice and funny beta that sometimes brought him sweets.
“Jihu-ssi, my apologies, I was a bit distracted.”
Jihu waved him off “Don’t worry, Changbin-ssi, I see you are tired. Are you taking care of yourself?”
He’s trying, but he’s also taking care of a man child with power over him, so no he’s not “I am! Please do not worry yourself!” god he really misses going to the gym right now “What can I help you with?”
“Oh yes! Boss Kim wants to have a brief talk with you! If you could follow me.” Changbin stood, not bothering warning Siwoo, seeing he was busy with the omegas from the brothel. Changbin also loved speaking with boss Kim, he was such a wise old alpha, very book wise and Changbin loved discussing old books and history with him.
Jihu guided him to their booth – one far off the main walkway, more schedule, and with private curtains – there was boss Kim, Jeongho – the other secretary – and boss Kim’s wife, miss Kim – a powerful omega woman, someone Changbin aspired to be.
“Changbin, darling, come sit!” Miss Kim greeted him.
Changbin bowed politely, before taking a seat next to Jihu, across boss Kim. “Very glad to see you, Miss Kim. Boss Kim, pleasure to see you too.”
“Oh, Changbin, don’t be so formal!” Miss Kim pushed him with some sweets that they had, Jeongho offering to get him a drink – he declined Jeongho’s offer but accepted the sweets. He always had a sweet tooth. “Old man here wanted to talk with you about something.”
Boss Kim nodded “Yes, Changbin-ah, I think it’s important to warn you about this before it happens.” Boss Kim’s tone was serious, but he still had a small smile on his wrinkled lips “Your boss has been very…disruptive. I always valued the respectful aura of this VIP Area, that’s why I’m a frequent resident in here, but your boss isn’t preserving that.”
“I recognize that, and once again I apologize, boss Kim. I try my best to warn him, but I can’t do much besides that.”
“No, please, my dear, I know the clear hierarchy happening between you too. That’s why I asked permission from Sehun to do this before doing it.”
“That’s what concerns me?”
“Yes, I ended up complaining directly with the owner of the casino, Changbin-ah.”
Oh, my fucking god they were so screwed, he was so screwed. LEVANTER’S owner was a mysterious alpha that everyone labeled him as a ruthless and heartless alpha, having no mercy towards the ones that crossed him wrong, a leader of a mafia clan known in whole South Korea. What’s worse, knowing Siwoo, the guy would put all of the blame on Changbin.
He was already struggling financially since Siwoo was on the lead, but now he had one of the biggest mafia leaders on his ass. Changbin better start finding the best omega facility.
“Darling, you are looking very pale.” Miss Kim pointed out.
“N-no, I-it’s just, uhm, very surprising.”
“Nothing is going to happen to you, Changbin-ah.”
“But- “
Boss Kim cut him off “I complained about your boss, Chan-ah is not a stupid man, he wouldn’t attack someone who has nothing to do with it.” Changbin nodded, trying deeply to believe boss Kim “I was told they would take care of it this week, so I just wanted to warn you, to not catch you by surprise.”
“I appreciate you for warning me boss Kim, it took a weight off my shoulders, thank you.”
“You asked for me?” Hyunjin asked as he took off the bloody gloves and threw them on a close by bin. Jisung sat on his computer chair, legs prompted up on the edge, oversized hoodie over the naked legs. His eyes were focused on his phone as his many screens showed all cameras of the casino.
“First kisses!” Jisung demanded cutely as he placed the phone on the desk and waited for Hyunjin, who happily skipped towards his mate and pampered his face with kisses.
“Now talk.”
“Channie-hyung told me to tell you and Felix that there’s this guy on the VIP Area that needs to be taken care of. His name is Jung Siwoo, the grandson of Sehun-ssi, and he has been causing so much trouble that even boss Kim complained directly to Chan.”
Hyunjin hummed “I have seen him in there, surrounded by brothel omegas and making unnecessary noise, but since Minho-hyung never said anything, I just ignored.”
“Well…” Jisung turned to one of the screens and typed on the keyboard, taking a picture of a man appear on the screen, an omega judging by the collar “This is Chan’s new eye candy, Seo Changbin.”
“And?”
“And also, Siwoo’s secretary. Chan wants you and Felix to negotiate the membership for Changbin. He seems to really want him.”
Hyunjin looked at Jisung for a few seconds, knowing what’s going on in his head, before dropping another kiss in his lips “Chan loves you a lot okay?”
Jisung nodded, not exactly looking at Hyunjin, but the older omega accepted the answer, knowing that he wasn’t going to get anything better. “If he wants a new omega, he can do whatever he wants.”
Hyunjin sighed, sensing that a conversation is needed “Did you tell Felix?” a nod “Okay, then.” Hyunjin kissed him again, this time for longer and softer, a reassurance and a showing of love.
It’s been two days since boss Kim had warned him about the complaint. Changbin has been with his guard up all this time but trying to proceed as normal in the casino. Taking some paperwork to it to have it done, because he didn’t spend enough time in the company to do it, and he always needed to work overtime if he wanted to see things done.
It’s one of those days again. Siwoo was enjoying his time while Changbin was doing some work. He was already every comfortable in the casino, so he forsake his contacts for his glasses, took of his shoes – not worried about the floors since it was always clean – took his jacket, tie and belt off and proceed to do his work in the most comfortable way possible. One of the staff even gave him a small blanket since the room’s temperature was a bit lower due to a request of a patron.
He was going through one of the reports of the sales department, noting down what needed to be worked on and writing on a cute bunny post it advices for the person – he always made sure to help whoever needed, knowing how hard was to do things without any help – when a tap on his shoulder pulled him from his concentration daze.
One of the omegas from the brothel was smiling at him. Changbin had seen him quite often with the group, but it was obvious why, this boy was Siwoo’s ideal type – soft looking, small, lean, and pale, his red collar contrasting beautifully with his skin.
“Can I help you…”
“JinJin! And no, just…you seemed a bit lonely I guess. I always see you working and wanted to make you company, Seo-ssi!” Changbin smiled at the sweet boy, appreciating his sympathy.
“Thank you, JinJin-ssi, but I’m fine, you should go- “Changbin was cut off by Siwoo.
“What the fuck are you doing there? Who told you to go there? He doesn’t need shit and you need to be in your place, stupid omega.”
Changbin lightly push the young omega towards Siwoo “Go, you are also doing your job.” JinJin bowed his head with mix of a thankful and apologetic smile and went back to seat next to Siwoo.
Changbin sighed, grabbing his pen to go back to read the report. As he was underlying a word, his pen decided to give out. Great, the only pen he was able to grab on the way here. Looking up, he noticed Minji, one of the waitresses in here, passing by him.
“Hey, Minji, can you get me a pen please?”
The waitress gave him a thumbs up and kept on her way. While waiting he mentally noted what needed to be underlined and written. Sometimes, he truly felt like the CEO of the company, but his work would always go down the drain because Siwoo was the one with the power to say no, and that consisted of 99% of Changbin’s decisions.
He knows that the main reason for Siwoo always rejecting his stuff is because Changbin is an omega. The young master always complains about Changbin being his secretary because he would prefer an alpha in his place, or a cuter omega to be his eye candy. But the one condition of him being CEO was to not fire Changbin, so he couldn’t do much about it besides being the biggest asshole.
Minji came back with the pen he asked for and a bottle of juicy that he didn’t asked.
“I know you only wanted the pen, but our bartender sent you a juice because I told him you hadn’t drink anything since arriving.”
“You are really outing me like that.” Changbin took the things from Minji, placing the pen over the papers and opening the juice, taking a sip from it “I guess I’m going to pause a bit then.”
Minji nodded enthusiastically “Yes, please! Rest a bit and if you want anything, please just ask.”
Changbin was really lucky to have a friendly relationship with everyone in the casino, he never knew these people would be so caring, mostly the mafia lords. Changbin’s never going to judge a book by its cover again.
The omega reached to a box on the table that contained a bunch of sweets miss Kim had bought to him. He loved her sweets, they always tasted and felt like home.
He was lost in his thoughts, thinking about what he could do tomorrow on his only day off of the month. He could meet Wooyoung and Yeonjun, going to a café with them. It’s been a while since he saw them in person and Changbin wanted to gift Wooyoung something for their incoming child. He had a cute yellow onesie that had a little bunny on it, for the kid to remember his uncle Changbin.
Changbin wasn’t aware of the music getting cut off, of the staff all moving to be behind the bar counter, didn’t realize how everyone that was at the center gambling table just left to their seats.
The omega was pulled out of his thoughts when the doors to the area were open – they were big and heavy, always making a lot of noise when opening and closing – and looked around the room, seeing everyone quiet and still, the staff behind the counter.
Changbin’s view changed towards the doors again as they closed, the bright lights slowly diminishing, the figures that entered started to be clearer. They began walking into the room, the staff bowing to them as they passed the counter towards Changbin’s booth…
Wait, what!?
The omega quickly placed the half-eaten sweet back in the box, placed the juice on the table, brushed off the crumbs and got up, cursing as he remembered that he wasn’t decent enough, and that his stupid boss was still sitting with arms full of omegas. He wasn’t even able to stand and start scolding Siwoo when his view was blocked by the figures. Changbin slowly looked up to the most gorgeous angels he had ever seen.
One was tall, grey hair by his neck, tucked behind his ears with two strands hanging over his face, smoked eye make-up and dark red lips combo, lean body, and long legs. The smaller one was blond, same hairstyle, but his make-up was softer, and his freckles looked like stars, lips pink and shiny with lip gloss, also lean body, and strong legs. They were wearing similar outfits – a long blazer with a belted waist that stopped by mid-thigh – but the taler’s blazer had a bigger V neck with the red and black collar and the smaller had black thigh high tights. They were beautiful and so addictive, Changbin couldn’t stop staring, mouth hanging slightly open, vanilla and brownies scents abusing his nose, almost making him salivate with how tasty they smelled.
But his daze got broken off when Siwoo cursed loudly, the omega scrambling up to bow at the angels.
“I-I’m sorry for the- “
“You are wearing scent blockers.” A deep, velvety voice stated. He forgot to take the stickers off, and in this position they could see his scent gland clearly underneath the black, silk collar. “You know it’s not allowed to wear scent blockers in here.”
Still bowed, Changbin squeezed his eyes shut before speaking again “I-I’m very sorry! I forgot to take them because of work!”
“Love, please stop bowing, you are making us look like bullies.” Another voice said gently. At that Changbin immediately straightened, hands crossing in front.
“I-I’m sorry!” Changbin looked at them, which was a bit hard because of how beautiful they were, as they started to lightly chuckle.
“Why don’t you sit down, beautiful? We are not here for you.” The blond one mentioned to the couch the omega was sitting on.
“B-but I’m his secretary! I’m the one you guys need to talk to when it comes to my boss businesses.” Changbin explained mortified. Siwoo made him always be his shield when it comes to this type of things – complaints and scoldings – and he really didn’t want to hear Siwoo’s scolding after this.
The beautiful people looked at each other with wide eyes before turning back to Changbin, the taler one talking “Honey, isn’t your boss an adult?” Changbin nodded “Then is he mute?” Changbin shook his head “Is he a foreigner?” Changbin shook his head, Siwoo even struggled with Korean “Then I don’t see an issue.”
The protest was ready on his tongue but was stopped when the blond one just gently pushed his shoulders back, his butt hitting the couch. The fighting left his body completely. Jesus, what kind of spell they put him under.
“Stay there, and wait a bit okay?” Changbin nodded, with this proximity, getting a bit scent drunk with brownies and cake scent coming from the person.
Both men turned towards Siwoo, the omegas now all distanced themselves upon realizing the situation. They also seem to have a face the recognized the beautiful men. Siwoo was isolated upon their gazes.
“I don’t know if you heard him but- “
“I’m Hwang Hyunjin,” The tall one interrupted “I’m the fourth owner of this casino, the manager of the main grounds and the one that people call when there’s a bug annoying them.”
“I’m Lee Felix, and I’m the sixth owner of this casino and the other person they call when there’s need to a cleaning.”
“What do you- “
“We have complaints about your ethic around this area that date from about five months ago, a month after you joined. They were minimal, but then boss Kim, a dear friend of ours, made a very serious complaint.”
Changbin stopped breathing a for a while. This two were with the owner, they were owners themselves, meaning that he was in the presence of the Bang Clan, the third biggest crime lord in Korea. The omega began to pray that Siwoo wouldn’t do anything stupid.
“So? Aren’t we all free to do whatever we want here? Why the complaints? Boss Kim can move booths if he wants, old man shouldn’t be in this place anyways.”
His prayers went unanswered.
“You are very rude.” Hyunjin commented, arms crossed over his chest, assessing Siwoo “Typical alpha boy, all the manner went over his head.”
“Who the fuck you call- “
“I can lower to your level, Siwoo, but I don’t think you will want that.”
Siwoo smirked, confidence oozing from him, peppermint pheromones spreading like fire, making Changbin and other’s close by choke a bit, but not Hyunjin and Felix “I think I would like to see you on a lower level, maybe between my knees with my cock on your mouth like a good omega.”
The silence was deafening. Changbin was sweating buckets, waiting for the reaction from both owners, head down looking at his lap, not daring to see the situation. Siwoo was working towards his downfall at a fast pace. Changbin doesn’t know what he will say to grandpa Sehun if something happens to his grandson.
“All of you.” Felix spoke up, talking to the omegas on the booth “Go, Madam Lin is waiting for you outside.” The omegas quickly left, bowing to Hyunjin, whose eyes were fixed towards Siwoo. Felix then turned towards Changbin, placing a small hand on his bowed head “Sweetie, only look up when I tell you to.” The omega nodded, trusting the alpha.
Hyunjin made ways around the coffee table of the booth, going to stand in front of Siwoo, who was still sitting on the couch. Hyunjin was tall, even taller with heels he was wearing, the way he was towering over Siwoo was intimidating, even for an omega.
Hyunjin never let his sub-gender bring him down, he used it as a weapon.
“What? You truly coming- AH!” Siwoo screamed in pain. Changbin wanted to see but the weight of the hand on his head didn’t let him.
Hyunjin stepped on Siwoo’s crotch, thin heel directed on his cock, putting some strength to make it hurt but bearable. All through this his face was neutral, arms crossed over his chest, still looking beautiful.
“I don’t give a shit if you have a dick that can pop a knot, you better follow the rules we have in this fucking room because my mate worked fucking hard to create them, and it’s not a dumb fuck of an alpha that is going to ruin them, so you better listen to us and shut the fuck up.” Siwoo nodded, panting from the pain he was going through, hands on Hyunjin’s leg, trying to take it off but Hyunjin didn’t budge, that must have been a strike on his alpha pride.
The omega took pressure of his crotch but didn’t fully take his foot out. Siwoo had tears in his eyes, looking up at the omega with subsided range. One thing about Siwoo is that he never admitted that he was wrong, more precisely, he was always right in his mind. Everything he did was right, and all the others were wrong. For him, this was his world we were just living in it. Changbin thinks not even this will open his eyes.
Changbin doesn’t know what will.
Felix took over “We will give you two options. Either willingly revoke your membership of the casino and never comeback or talk about this area again; or…” Felix’s hand slid down his head to his chin, pulling his head up, making him look up at his dark eyes “You give him to us.”
What?!
“W-what- “
“That’s it? If you have Changbin, I can stay?” Siwoo asked, doubt on his tone. Hyunjin completely took off his foot, but not leaving his place.
“That’s what our leader wants, him for your membership.”
Changbin was dreading. He damn knew that Siwoo was 100% on board with this deal, he never liked Changbin one bit and had been looking for ways to get rid of him, now it was presented to him on a silver plate.
The omega was scared and thank god he was still wearing scent blockers because he didn’t want people to smell his fear. This was a mafia clan, they were known to be ruthless and heartless to anyone, discarding their sub-gender. Changbin doesn’t know what they will do to him, doesn’t know he will be dropped in one of the brothels, or just trained to be a sex slave – he knows that’s a business after an unfortunate encounter with a client. His life was about to end, and he had no hand in deciding it.
Changbin pulled from Felix’s hand and turned towards Siwoo, eyes wet and pleading “W-wait! Siwoo, please, don’t- “
“Take him! I have been wanting to get rid of him since I joined the company. Take him, do whatever the fuck with him, make him a sex slave for all I care!”
Changbin whimpered and tears started to fall without stopping, swallowing down his sobs because he was still in public, many eyes were still on him, but they were barely contained. The omega curled on himself the best he could while still sitting on the couch and with Felix in front of him, the alpha looking at him with concern on his face.
“Honey, please breath.” He couldn’t, he was suffocating but he couldn’t open his mouth to take a breath, from the look of the alpha, Changbin knew that his distressed smell was leaking through the blockers “Changbin, honey, please breath, you are going to hurt yourself.”
Changbin kept shaking his head, flinching when Felix tried to touch him. The lack of breathing was getting to his brain, his vision closing on him, but he was stuck, he couldn’t do anything besides let himself go under.
His last memory was Felix’s worried face before his world became black.
Felix reached in time, before the omega would fall, gently laying him down, checking his pulse. Thankfully he was okay, he just fainted from a panic attack. The alpha reached out and pulled both the flimsy collar and the scent blockers, releasing the smell of burning cotton candy full of distress and fear – but even that he smelled delightful, Felix was curious how he smelled when he was satisfied.
Hyunjin approached Felix, a hand going to brush the messy curls from the omega’s forehead “Is he okay?”
“Yes, he just fainted from a panic attack, maybe he will wake up when he’s in his nest.”
Hyunjin nodded “We need to get him home.” He called for the staff, telling them to organize Changbin’s things in his bag, put his shoes on and curl the blanket around his shoulders. The nights have been chili, and the blazer wasn’t enough to keep him warm.
They were approached by Miss Kim, who told them she would take Changbin home. “I know probably you want to take him, but I think it would be better for a familiar scent to greet him if he wakes up during the ride.”
Both owners understood “You are right, he probably will associate our scents to moments of distress. Please take care of him and” Felix turned towards Hyunjin, who was already reaching out to give Miss Kim a black and red envelope “When he wakes up, please give him this, it has the time and date that we will pick him up and- “
“I will try and make him less scared. His reaction was understandable, considering the setting we are on.” Felix and Hyunjin both thanked the woman, bowing towards her, watching the staff carry Changbin while she led them towards her car. Felix still had the collar and the used patch of scent blocker on his hand, he threw them to the table, offended by their mere existence.
“So? Do I get to stay?” Briefly, they had forgotten about their task, Siwoo’s annoying voice pulling them back.
“Tomorrow, you will receive a visit from our Madam and one of our alphas to talk to you about this, for now…” Hyunjin mentioned for the security guards “I think it’s time for you to go home.”
Hyunjin was dragging Felix up the stairs to Chan’s office, the alpha regretting the choice of shoes because he forgot how uncomfortable the heel was. They were both tired, almost didn’t make in time to confront Siwoo, having an unexpected problem in one of their brothels that took too much time to fix.
The omega was a bit worried about Changbin. He knew that Chan wouldn’t let it go, it happened with all of them, but the situation was different from seven years ago, he was hesitant and worried, but now he was somewhat hopeful.
Changbin was diligent about his job, even if it cost his life. He was really cute, his small features fit perfectly with his round face, lips pouty and his nose cute, like a bunny. He was very muscle in a healthy way by the looks of his shirt, but it all fit with him. He was broad but soft, clumsy but diligent. Hyunjin saw the charm of Changbin and was intrigued about it.
“Wanna bet whose cock warming him?” Felix smirked.
“Pfft, no one because we are all working today.” Hyunjin answered back, pushing the door of their mate’s office. Chan was at the desk, paper in one hand pen in the other, looking very professional and sexy in their opinion.
Before Hyunjin could say anything, Felix just had to ask.
“Is someone cock warming you?” Chan looked up, confusion on his face.
“No? Was there supposed to be?”
“No, just asking.” Felix shrugged, going to sit on one of the chairs in the room.
“Anyways, we came to report.”
“Right! How was it?”
Hyunjin went around the desk and plopped down on Chan’s lap, getting comfortable there “The deal was done rather easily.”
“Really?”
“He was really eager to ‘get rid’ of Changbin, he didn’t even hesitate to say yes.” Chan frowned at the wording, hand on Hyunjin’s waist tightening its grip.
“What do you mean ‘get rid’ of him?”
Hyunjin hissed and whimpered because of the grip on his waist starting to hurt. Chan immediately let go, apologizing with a kiss, sometimes Chan didn’t know the amount of strength he was using and often time he would hurt his mates unconsciously. Hyunjin smiled at him, as if saying it was okay, before his features hardened.
“I actually went to old man Sehun to ask him a bit about Siwoo, just to see what I truly was dealing with. Stereotypical alphas come in all sizes. Sehun told me that the deal for his grandson to be CEO was to keep Changbin as his secretary, something he really didn’t want. But Siwoo accepted it if it meant he was CEO, and from what I understood, Siwoo has been trying to make Changbin quit or just having him do something to hurt the company.”
“But?”
Hyunjin sighed fondly “Changbin is very diligent. Sehun would keep praising him for hours if I didn’t had to go. He does everything he can to help the company and its employers, he even moved out of Sehun’s mansion because Siwoo was harassing the employees with the excuse that ‘Changbin was distracting him at home’. He didn’t even accepted Sehun’s monthly money, saying he can pay everything himself.”
“Did he tell where he lives?” Chan asked.
Hyunjin shook his “No, he said Changbin would tell us.”
Chan hummed, pensative face on. This showed another side of Changbin, one that is self-sacrificing if it meant no one would fight or get hurt in any possible way. That was a dangerous characteristic in their world. Many would take advantage of such thing to get what they want, be the enemy or your own people. Chan was once like that - when he was young and naïve and following his father like a duckling – but now he knew better, he knew how to trust the people around him.
“He seemed very unsure of himself, actually.” Felix piped up from his laid-back position on the chairs.
“Yeah, I noticed that too.”
“At first he seemed shy, but the more I looked at him, the more I saw it as anxiety. He had this nervous mannerism while Hyunjin was talking with Siwoo, like fidgeting and lip biting.” Felix paused, complemented, and then kept going “He was also making himself small when Hyunjin start talking, not like in a ‘they are authority’ way, more like- “
“An insecure omega in a presence of other omega that they deemed as superior.” Hyunjin interjected because he also saw that. He saw the Changbin way looked mostly at Hyunjin, like he wished he was like Hyunjin, like he had no business looking at someone superior to him.
“Yes! That! Which was such a shame because he was really pretty but also very muscle, which is such unique and nice contrast like he can baby me and then probably beat to a plump.”
“He would be a great pack omega.” Hyunjin said this looking at Chan with an unreadable face, who looked back in an equal manner.
“Let’s just wait.”
Jeongin was sitting on the kitchen island, eating cereals because it was the only thing he was allowed to do, looking at nothing, just lost in thoughts. He woke up a bit late than he should have today, so breakfast was already gone by the time he came down. Throwing some jeans and a shirt that wasn’t exactly his, he was now waiting for Minho while eating.
They were assigned to pick up Changbin from the company, get his things and bring him back to their mansion. While also having Siwoo signing a contract to prevent any misunderstandings happening during this deal.
Jeongin knew very well who Changbin was, he always made sure to do some bartending shifts when he knew the omega was there after the said person came to him asking for a non-alcoholic drink because he hadn’t drink anything the whole day. It wasn’t the request, it was the way he smiled so cutely and shyly, and how his eyes were so dark and shiny in that weird red LED light on the area.
From there on, any request made by Changbin were free, and told the staff to take care of any of his needs, which Jeongin found out weren’t many unfortunately, making him a bit sad because his alpha really wanted to spoil the omega.
His thoughts of Changbin were interrupted by Minho coming down the stairs with some wide bottom dress pants, a cropped closed blazer and his collar. The omegas of the pack had a thick, leather black and red collar with the symbol of the clan in a silver pendant, while the betas had a jewelry choker made of silver and the symbol of clan adorned with rubies. Betas are not obligated to be collar, but it was a choice made by Minho and Seungmin.
“Are you going to a gala after?” Jeongin asked, pure curiosity in his tone that Minho didn’t have a heart to answer him with sarcasm.
“We going to do business so I thought I would go a bit more dressed.”
Jeongin looked down at himself, before asking “Do you want me to change?”
Minho shook his head, going to the young alpha and kiss his forehead “It’s good that there’s someone dressed more casual, to make Changbin more comfortable.”
Jeongin accepted the reason, but he also knew that Minho felt like he needed to look important to feel important – going to a famous company ran by an alpha probably made Minho want to show dominance.
In the car, as they made their way towards Jung company, Jeongin asked a question that had been swimming in his head for a while, and Minho felt like the right person to ask this.
“Did…Hyunjin and Jisung talked to Chan?”
Minho hummed, hand in the wheel, face sure of himself “Both of them came talking to me about that…they did, they had to honestly.” The beta took a deep breath before going “I think they still need more reassurance about this, because not gonna lie, when Chan said that he wanted to mate another omega it felt like he wanted another one to cover Hyunjin’s and Jisung’s infertility issues, ya know, but no, he truly feels attracted to Changbin and…both our omegas need a pack omega, Hyunjin believes it will be good to them and Jisung agrees.”
“I know what Chan-Hyung is talking about, I also felt this kind of pull to protect him and take care of him like he was pack.”
Minho giggled “You alphas are all the same.” It was a joke, Jeongin knew that Minho never meant harm to them, so he chuckled along. “Hyunjin wants to also talk about it with Changbin, to make sure everything is okay.”
Jeongin smiled at that “Therapy is really doing good to them.”
Minho agreed because it’s true. Five years ago, was the most traumatic experience they had as a pack, but the ones that suffered the most were their omegas. Everyone had to go through therapy, their omegas are still on it because no matter how long it passes, they still can’t exactly live like before.
Silence settled between them for the rest of the way, radio as background noise, the city passing in flashes until they reached their destination. The streets of the business center were very familiar for them, most of their loan clients were company owners that made too many bad choices and needed a boost to keep their company going. Funny enough, Sehun was one of them, but became a very close friend to the Bang Clan after, providing whatever his company could produce almost for free.
They pulled up to a tall building, the same as the others around, but this one had the Jung symbol on top. The parking lot was seemingly empty for the time of the day, but they didn’t dwell much on it, having things that need to be done fast.
Changbin stood by Siwoo’s desk, who was smirking like he just won the jackpot. He has been taunting Changbin that he can finally have someone better or cuter as his secretary and that his grandfather wouldn’t even know that Changbin was sold to a sex slave brothel or whatever the gang would do to him.
The omega was still nervous, but not as much as he was before. Miss Kim had taken him home and gave him the envelope that said the Bang clan would pick him up today, and she also reassured Changbin that they wouldn’t do anything bad to him, on the other hand they would probably want to mate. That was a huge stretch, Changbin was already content with working in one of their brothels as a waitress for the rest of his life.
The doors to the office opened to two gorgeous people. Jesus was everyone just handsome or pretty in this clan.
One looked older than the other, handsome features, cute nose, fluffy brown hair. A suit with wide bottom pants and a crop blazer and some heeled boots. He was tall but looked even taller with them. He had a dominant aura, confidence raided from him, showing his importance just by being present.
The other one was familiar to Changbin, those foxlike eyes weren’t that common, recognizing him as the bartender from the casino. The omega was slightly surprised, not even knowing that he was part of the clan, but more at ease for the familiar and the clothing – just jeans and a shirt, simple and appropriate.
One beta – the jewelry collars were wore more by betas – and alpha. By the looks of its Siwoo would be only talking to the alpha, because yes, Siwoo even looked down on collared betas, saying that they are just omegas with no womb.
“Welcome, pleasure to have you at the company.” Siwoo greeted, bowing towards the alpha, just like Changbin predicted. The omega wanted to sigh at that moment but contained himself.
“Buddy, it’s not me you should be bowing to, I’m just a collateral, he’s the boss.” The alpha grinned, pointing towards the beta that had a very unsettling blank face, his coffee sense turning a tiny bit sour.
At that, Siwoo glanced towards the beta, unaware or completely ignoring the sour coffee smell, and scoffed, sitting back down in his chair in laid back manner. Entirely discarding the beta’s authority. “Whatever, well, let’s get over with this, I got places to be.”
The look the beta supported was terrifying – it was a smile, that reached beyond his eyes, it was creepy and promised so many awful things that Changbin was scared for Siwoo’s life – but he just handed a single sheet of paper to the alpha and told him to handover to Siwoo.
“What’s wrong sweetheart? Afraid to come closer?” Siwoo smirked towards the beta, taking the paper, not reading it, and signing it. The alpha smirked at that and walked back with the sign paper. The beta skimmed through it, nodding at the signature, and turning towards Changbin.
“Hello Changbin, I’m Lee Minho, the pack beta of the Bang clan, also the one that manages the VIP Are of the casino.” The beta, Minho, introduced himself, then gesturing towards the alpha “This is Yang Jeongin, the other manager and bartender, as you probably already know.” Minho supported a soft smile, completely different from previous moments. His smell was also softer, almost comforting, it left Changbin even less nervous.
The omega bowed slightly “Pleasure to meet you. From the letter you gave me, we are going back to my place to pick up my things right?”
Minho nodded “Yes! Jeongin here is gonna help you bring stuff down; we brought a bigger car just for that. Just worry about moving your things, we will take of the rest.” Changbin nodded back, glad that they were being nice to him, no matter what kind of future they would give him.
The omega was getting ready to ask a few more questions (Changbin hated not knowing anything) when Siwoo’s sneer came through, followed by him saying “Just take him Jesus! He’s just an omega that needs some shaping, tell his slave master that sometimes he’s a brat and needs some beating.” Changbin yelped, trying his best to shrink into himself. He’d like to say that he’s used to Siwoo’s comments but he’s not, his heart is too fragile just like his mind, and the state of nervousness he was in wasn’t helping at all.
The response was two twin fake smile from both men, and Minho saying, “Glad that we could negotiate with you, please have a nice rest of the day.” The beta took Changbin’s arm, while Jeongin made ways outside and grabbed a box that was on Changbin’s old desk. Minho pulled off the office before Siwoo could answer.
“He didn’t read anything?”
Jeongin chuckled “Just like you predicted.”
“Learn something with me Changbinie, alphas like him are easy to fool.”
Curiosity filled the omega “What did you wrote on the contract?”
“Hmm.” Minho unlocked the car, opening the back door for Changbin “Let’s say that Siwoo won’t be seeing money for a very long time.”
Changbin had no idea what that meant, but he liked the sound of that.
The more they drove, the less the streets were decent. The scenery changed drastically – from seemingly clean streets to dirty streets and old buildings. Minho’s face turned into a small sneer when Changbin told them to stop in front of a building that was one strong wind away from falling.
Minho knew in which street they were, it was one close to their brothels. The rents were shit for equal shit apartments, most drug addicts would end up here sleeping on the alleys, and the abandoned houses were mostly used for drug dealers to gather or for startup gangsters to settle down.
But Minho also knew that most omegas lived here because of the cheap rents, just happy to have a roof over their heads. Omegas were still discriminated against in jobs because of the prosperity of heats and pregnancy, the lucky ones could a land a job as secretary or maid. The omegas that had higher education had more opportunities, but the harassment was enough to make them quit and choose jobs stereotypical for omegas.
Jeongin looked at Minho with a look of concern as both of them followed Changbin up the building, thinking of the same thing. Changbin stopped on a door on the first floor, one of the only ones actually intact, open to an old, but neat studio apartment.
It was clearly falling down, but Changbin was able to make it look presentable and adding a bit of his touch. It looked and felt lived in. The smoke-stained walls were decorated with vinyl ranging from old bands to newer ones, there was plants on the windowsill, cute decorations on the kitchen counters. There was a small nest on the bed. Cotton candy scent lingering in the air.
“I didn’t pack anything because I don’t have any boxes and didn’t had time to buy them, because Siwoo wanted me to do a whole written guide for the next secretary.” Changbin rambled on as he started to take the vinyl from the walls. His hands were shaking, and thin layer of sweat could be seen when the sun hit his face.
Minho walked over, gently took the vinyl from the omegas hand, and placed it on the bed beside the nest “Don’t worry about it, we bought some boxes with us.” The beta heard Jeongin leave the apartment “Do you have a suitcase?” Changbin nodded “then how about you do your clothes and I start to pile things?”
Changbin nodded silently. His eyes were shaky and watery, taking a deep breath and going to the closet in the corner, pulling out a small suitcase. Minho watched Changbin folding his clothes gently for a bit before going to do his task. Eventually, Jeongin came back, and both mates started to put things inside the boxes.
There wasn’t many things, they noticed. Everything fitted in two boxes, and all Changbin clothes fit in that small suitcase. Again, they both shared a look of concern before each grabbing a box. Changbin followed them, locked the door, and looked back at Minho.
“What do I do about the apartment?”
“We talked with your landlord, just leave the key under the mat and we take care of the rest.” Changbin nodded, doing just that. They went back down, loaded the car, and sped off.
Jeongin and Minho knew that everyone was out of their house, having businesses to do, but Minho’s wasn’t sure if it was a safe choice to take Changbin there already, since it would be reeking of their scents together and it could be too much for the omega, pull him into a dangerous drop very fast because of Chan’s strong alpha scent. From the schedule, Felix was going to be the first one home, and he knew there was a need to do some cleaning so they would wait until that.
“Let’s stop at the café close to the penthouse.” Jeongin made the decision for him, smiling brightly towards Changbin at the back. The omega couldn’t resist Jeongin, so he smiled back, his nose scrunching with his eyes, his glasses almost falling of his nose and fluffy curly hair – it was cute, adorable, Minho couldn’t stop glancing at the cute person. Jeongin turned back and he was blushing brightly, caught off guard about the smile.
Minho was going to baby the shit out of Changbin. Moderately.
They stopped at the LAVENTER coffee shop. It was created by Felix because he wanted to sell his pastries recipes, it was an idea given by Seungmin because of the amount of cake Felix would bake and not be eaten. The shop was cozy with pastel colors, a wide variety of choices and good music playing. After ordering they sat down, waiting for their things.
“So, Changbin, how did you became Jung’s secretary?” Minho would like to say that they knew everything about Changbin, but they didn’t. All information was withheld by Sehun, and he wouldn’t budge about anything, saying that if they wanted to court his adoptive son, they would have to do it the normal way. When Chan told them the predicament, Jisung started to scratch himself and Minho felt his eye twitch uncontrollably.
They are not used to not knowing anything before meeting any person. They always had the minimum information, sometimes could get their hands on family information too. It made them feel safe and smarter because they had weapons to manipulate their targets.
The only thing they knew about Changbin was that he was an omega and a secretary. That didn’t sit well with Minho.
“Oh! After college I couldn’t find a job in my field so grandpa gave me that job of secretary.” The waitress came at that time and Changbin thanked her before continuing “He wanted to give me the title of COO like my father, but I didn’t accepted it.”
“Why?”
“I was already harassed as the personal secretary of the CEO, imagine being a COO.”
Minho hummed, stirring his drink with the straw “What did you study in college?"
“Double majored in Biochemistry and math, with a minor in music producing!” The omega answered cheerfully. Jeongin choked on his drink and Minho looked at him with wide eyes. Changbin reached out to Jeongin with worry, but the alpha quickly composed himself.
“Double major?”
“Yeah, my mom was in biochemistry, and I always had an interest in that, and I’m very good at doing math. I also have a passion for music, so I did my best to do all of that. I have the diploma with me if you want to see it!”
“N-no, it’s okay, we believe you.” Jeongin stuttered out, turning to look at Minho, who was looking at him already.
Without assuming much, Changbin was a fucking genius. He felt really different from them since the only one that got to college was Jeongin and he dropped out on the first year because of money. Chan, Minho and Jisung were rat street kids, doing the worst things to survive. Hyunjin and Seungmin were sold to brothels and worked there until they could pay for themselves. Felix and Jeongin were rich kids that were presumed dead, with funerals and graves and everything.
“So, you didn’t find any job with that degree?”
“It’s a field mainly dominated by alphas, the moment they saw omega on my profile they didn’t even look twice.” Changbin shrugged like it was normal, the worst part that it was. “Grandpa gave me a nice position, and I was still living with him, so I was in a good place. Well, until Siwoo started to complain.”
“You can say annoying shit, he’s not here.” Jeongin muttered. Changbin smiled at him. “what happen with him for you to move out?”
“It was a month after he started as CEO and when he was in the casino’s VIP area, he started to complain that my omega scent was distracting, even at home, and that I was not doing my job correctly and that he wanted an alpha secretary. Grandpa didn’t buy it, but his parents did, so I got kicked out. Grandpa offered me an allowance, but I didn’t accept it, I though the salary was enough.”
“I’m sensing a but?”
“But Siwoo discreetly lowered my salary for the omega salary, which is unlivable, but I had to make it work. I used my savings and had been living as good as I can, which sometimes would be one meal per day.”
Minho can’t wait to tell about this to Chan. “What about your family?”
“They died in an accident when I was ten years old, both my parents and sister.” Changbin took a sip of drink “My dad was really good friends with grandpa and so he adopted me. It was hard for a while, but grandpa is a really great person, don’t know how he has such bad son and grandson, and even worse daughter-in-law.”
Minho is glad that at least he had good people around him when he needed them. It’s a feeling very recent for all of them, having someone to lean on. They are people with deep scars and open wounds that will take a while to heal completely, they have heavy sentences over them, and it can be something that might scare Changbin when he knows how they truly are.
“You were lucky with Sehun-ssi” Jeongin said.
“I guess I was, fate as weird way of working.” Changbin smiled at them “I believe everything happens for a reason, that fate as its ways of working. Meeting you might also be part of its course.”
Jihyo hit Chan in head “Are you seriously saying that you traded a stay in your stupid casino with an omega? Is this the 1500’s?”
Chan massaged the place Jihyo hit “Now that you said it out loud it sounds bad.”
“It is bad, what were you thinking?” Nayeon said, sitting on Chan’s right side, while Jihyo occupied his left one.
“I just saw his photo and felt like a lightning coming through and this desire to protect him and take care of him. I knew he was my mate because that’s the same feeling I felt with the others.” Chan looked at Jihyo with an apologetic smile “I had no other idea besides that one, and Sehun-ssi asked me to take care of his grandson so two birds with one stone.”
Momo sighed “I understand, and we know you well enough that your brain works like that, but this was an omega with zero connection and interactions with our world, in his head seeing two members of a mafia clan meant that he was going to be sold to a brothel or something.”
Momo was right, and after some thought Chan knew what he did wasn’t the best option, he forgets that not everyone grew up surrounded by criminals their whole life. It’s just this kind of plans are automatic, and no one stops him because his mates are also like that.
“But I think this Changbin is gonna be good for all of you! Finally, you have someone that can teach you normal manners!” Tzuyu pointed it out enthusiastically, and the rest joined in too. It’s going to be a good addition and Chan was glad that all of his mates were also excited. Chan finished his tasks early, so he stopped by Jihyo’s clan house to tell her and her mates about the new mate. He always comes here, the girls being like real sisters to Chan, and by extension, his mates.
“Okay, I don’t wanna sour the mood but” Jeongyeon called them out “I just want to make sure, this is not an attempt to cover Jinnie’s and Sungie’s infertility, right?” the room went silent, all eyes on Chan with serious and murderous gazes.
The alpha straighten his back, a serious look also downing on his face “I would never do that, in no circumstance, I discussed this with both of them and they assured me that they also want to mate him.” His eyes dropped a bit, sadness over taking “There’s no day that I don’t remember what happen, I though this over, I questioned myself over this and talked with all my mates, we are all in the same boat.”
Jeongyeon nodded “We have a contract Chan, if we see any signs Hyunjin and Jisung come to our clan.”
“I’m aware, I will do anything to protect them.”
After what happen five years ago, Jihyo’s clan, an all omega and beta clan with only one alpha, forced Chan to make a contract with them – not exactly forced, Chan was just scared of their implications upon this contract – at any signs of neglect or mating an omega because of an heir, Hyunjin and Jisung would be transferred to Jihyo’s clan, and Chan would be denied any access to them.
They were worried and wanted to protect them. They knew how bad they were after that mission, because his omegas had stayed there for almost a year, too scared of alpha pheromones.
Chan would give up on mating Changbin if meant his other omegas would be happier.
Felix and Jisung ended their businesses earlier than it was planned because the alpha wanted to bake some welcome brownies for Changbin, Jisung joined him because he didn’t want to be alone.
As soon they got home, they started to clean up the house a bit, although Minho already did their weekly cleaning yesterday, a house with seven men tends to get dirty quickly. They also aired a bit for the smells not to be overwhelming on Changbin, but still they were present to give it a home like feeling.
They were now in the kitchen, Felix putting the brownies in the oven and starting to clean the island, and Jisung just sitting on the stools eating the leftover banter, lost in thought while nibbling the spatula.
“What’s on your mind?”
Jisung stayed silent for a bit, pushing the now clean bowl and spatula towards Felix “the conversation me, Jinnie and Chan-hyung had yesterday.”
“About Changbin?” Jisung nodded. Felix knew that the conversation was needed because the decision to add a mate, an omega at that, was abrupt and final. It was like Chan didn’t give them much time to think about it, Felix only saw him like that when he met the others and himself.
But the situation was really different from when they met each other. They had been mates for seven years, the mission was five years ago, and to this day they were still healing. Hyunjin was better, going back to himself at a steady pace, but Jisung changed a lot.
Jisung was always introvert and preferred staying home in front of his computers, but when it was going out on dates or just to have fun he would never say no, even sometimes tagging along some more dangerous tasks. He was always a touchy person, that being his love language, when he had an opportunity he would hold their hands or just hug them. But after the mission, Jisung just didn’t get out anymore at all, only when extremely needed, and sometimes he would find an excuse not to go. He became averse to touch, but that also got way better, the only thing is no sudden touches or when he's not able to see you.
The conversation about Changbin felt a bit one sided, but Jisung didn’t want to say anything – Hyunjin was excited to have a pack omega and Chan was excited to include the final piece of their puzzle, with that look of happiness in their eyes Jisung had no heart to voice his problems – so he did what he does best, bottle everything up.
“Are you happy that he’s joining us?” Jisung asked.
“Yeah! The brief conversation we had made me feel like he will fit right in.” Jisung hummed and Felix looked at him “Are you okay with him joining us?”
Jisung lowered his head, not looking or answering the question. However, before Felix could ask again, the oven went off and the front door opened. Jisung sprang from his seat and ran upstairs towards his computer room. “Jisung wait- “the alpha heard the lock of the door – loud on purpose because locking doors wasn’t really allowed in here – and sighed, going to take the brownies off the oven to let them rest for a bit.
Jeongin was the first one to appear in the kitchen, meeting Felix halfway in a kiss before looking around the said room “Wasn’t Jisung with you?”
“He’s in the computer room.”
“Why?” Felix just shook his head and Jeongin understood. The younger alpha supported a look of concern and started to make ways around Felix to go to Jisung, but the older alpha stopped him.
“You reek of Changbin, he will kick you out before you even enter. And it’s locked.”
“But- “
“It’s something for Chan to fix not us. Maybe Minho can go through him.”
“Is it because…” Felix nodded. Minho came in with Changbin on his toe, looking around with wide eyes at the apartment “But I thought…”
“You thought what?” Minho asked, curious eyes going through the both of them. Felix just shook his head.
“We will talk about that later.” He said lowly, turning towards Changbin who was still admiring the penthouse “Hello, Changbin! I hope you remember me!”
That snapped Changbin out of his awe with a blush and shy smile, the omega bowed slightly, probably out of habit. “Yes, hello, of course I remember! Although I was more anxious during that time.” He finished sheepishly.
“We are sorry about that, didn’t mean to scare you like that.” The alpha apologized “Our target was Siwoo, so we were trying to be as intimidating as possible.”
“Oh, please no need to apologize! Siwoo also didn’t help with his taunting.”
Minho scoffed “hopefully tomorrow he will be taken care of.”
By the looks of Changbin, he didn’t exactly know what they meant but was okay with staying in the dark. Felix was sure that he would fit perfectly with the rest of the pack.
“So! Where are your stuff so we can bring them to your room?”
Changbin looked at him with a confused frown “I’m going to stay here? Why?” the omega turned to Minho on instinct “Aren’t I supposed to work in the brothels?”
“Right, yeah, it’s a conversation that is needed to have with all of us together and the rest is coming later, so let’s start with the easy thing. Yes you are to be living here, we prepared a room just for you to use, you can decorate it in any way you want.” Minho explained “When the rest arrives we will tell you the rest, for now let’s do what Felix said.”
They only needed one trip to bring all the things, which Felix also found weird but brushed off. They all made ways to Changbin’s new room, which was between Seungmin’s and Hyunjin’s, and placed the boxes on the floor. Minho glimpsed the closed door of the computer room and turned to Felix.
“Jisung’s home?”
“Yeah, he went out with me.”
“And he wasn’t downstairs?” Minho asked, lowering his voice, for the conversation to be between them.
“Let’s just say the conversation with Chan didn’t help him at all.” Minho made a painful noise and looked back at the door.
“Changbin is going to spend the night here, is he going to be in that room the whole night?”
Felix shrugged “He might, hyung. He has a fridge and a box full of snacks and a sleeping bag and a pillow in there. That or he might sneak in the middle of the night and go to Jihyo’s.”
Minho frowned “Chan went there to reassure them that everything was alright.” The beta sighed turning back to the door once again before looking towards Changbin and Jeongin going through the omega’s vinyls “I will talk to him later.”
Minho should had been in that conversation.
After going through Changbin’s things and putting the ones that he won’t be using in the storage room they had, the four stayed downstairs in the living room just chatting and eating the brownies Felix made. Trying to make the omega a bit more comfortable before the others arrive.
During that Minho had received a text from Jisung, warning that he was going to eat at Jihyo’s. Minho sighed silently, showing it to Felix, who did the same. Chan was going to get a scolding so big from Jihyo.
Hyunjin was the first to arrive, smiling widely at Changbin, saying that he was going to change then come right back. The came Chan as the other omega came down, who was all smiles when his eyes landed on Changbin, politely greeting and introducing himself as the pack alpha and leader.
“I thought you would be more scaring.” Changbin commented innocently.
All of them burst out laughing at that “He’s only scary for show, make him puppy eyes and he will be the most docile alpha out there.”
“Thank you for upholding my reputation, I have such amazing mates that only say good stuff about me.” Chan said with a fake sob, Hyunjin and Felix reaching out and each giving him a kiss on his cheeks.
“Stop being dramatic and go change, the only one left is Seungmin.” Minho shushed him.
Chan looked around, mentally counting them before asking “Where’s Jisung?”
Minho grimaced at that “Get ready to hear Jihyo’s scolding tomorrow.” Minho didn’t gave the alpha time to process, pushing him towards the stairs.
It was then when Seungmin entered the house, already complaining loudly. “I don’t know what you take me for, but next time Jisung needs something he better get it himself.” Felix rushed towards Seungmin and whispered in his ear. The beta face quickly fell “Oh…shit, I’ll leave this by the door then, with some more blankets, it’s cold for him to be in there.” Seungmin quickly goes upstairs.
They all could see the look of confusion in Changbin’s face as they mentioned Jisung, it felt like he wanted to ask, but didn’t because it wasn’t his place. Jeongin went ahead and reassured him.
“Jisung is our other omega along with Hyunjin…he’s a bit shy and doesn’t do well with new people so just…give him some time.”
“Oh. I don’t want to make him uncomfortable, I can just- “
Jeongin shook his head “No, no! he’s fine, we will talk with him later.”
That didn’t reassured Changbin at all, but he let it go, getting distracted with the various conversations going around.
Chan and Seungmin came back down, the young beta having a gloomy face but masked quickly when Changbin looked at him, and Chan pulled Minho aside for a bit. They had a small, heated conversation, ending with Minho glaring at Chan while saying something that immediately shut the alpha up.
“Right now, just focus on Changbin, I will take care of Jisung.” Chan nodded. His mate was right, now he needed to deal with Changbin, and then he could fix this mistake.
They have many more things to fix in their relationship.
They went around and introduced themselves, some again and some for the first time. Chan as the pack alpha and leader of the clan, Minho as the pack beta, Hyunjin one of the omegas and he said that Jisung was after himself, Felix as the middle alpha, Seungmin as a beta and Jeongin as their youngest alpha and in general. They would butt in each other’s introductions just for fun and it was endearing to Changbin. The omega could see that they were normal people under the dark mafia mask, and that made him more curious about them, how they met, how they became this close with so many in the pack.
Normally packs consisted of friends that had other mates or family members. It was more of a reassurance and safety being in pack. Packs where all were in a relationship are rare, it comes with a lot of emotional work, and most didn’t have that strength. But seeing this pack, Changbin realized that it is possible to love so many people equally at the same time.
“Well,” Chan spoke over them, calling all attention, “Now that Changbin at least knows our names, I can proceed to the real reason why we brought you here.”
“This all happen with all of my mates, the moment I laid my eyes on them, it was like a flashing went through me, a sudden pull and need to have them in my arms was so overwhelming that kept me from doing most things. My alpha was reckless and agitated, always howling for my mates. We all felt this about each other, this pull and this need.
“And I, we, also felt about this with you.” Chan was looking at Changbin with such fierce gaze, one that frightened the omega, but he was unable to look away, a force was trapping him even if he wanted to escape “The moment I saw your picture I knew I needed you close to me. I know the methods weren’t the best, but I had to grab the opportunity.”
“We talked between each other.” Minho took over “Most of our problems are resolved.” He side eyed Chan “And don’t worry that all of us are okay and actually on board with having you as mate and are 100% ready to court you when you are ready.”
“C-court me?” Changbin eyes widen, mouth agape and a finger pointing at himself while his gaze shifts through the smiling pack, all reassuring and pleased. “You want to court me?”
“Yes, that’s the plan.” Chan straightened, along with all of them, eyes serious, which was a bit comical because he was in checkered red pjs “Seo Changbin, I, Bang Chan, the pack alpha of the Bang Pack and rightful leader of the Bang Clan, ask you for permission to court you as ends to mate.”
Oh shit, oh fuck, this was the real deal. Someone, not exactly anyone but a leader of a mafia clan, was asking him, an omega with dead parents and no job, to be his mate. It feels like the fanfics he used to read as a teenager.
A total soap opera.
“I-I,” Changbin looked through them, then lowered his head, “I, uh, I” it was a sudden question. It wasn’t a simple yes or no, the answer held too much to make this decision suddenly. “uh, I, uh” he needed to know them, to see them in their raw moments, unfiltered. He needed to know how they treated each other, how they would treat Changbin. He needed to see their work, to see if he could ignore his morals enough to be okay with what they do. He wanted to think, alone, without having six pair of eyes on him.
It was a huge decision.
“I-I’m very honored, but.” Changbin sighed and pulled his head up, looking straight at Chan “I can’t tell you right now. I don’t know you, I know your names and gender, but I don’t know you. I don’t know what you do or how you do it. I don’t know how you treat each other. So, I need time, to be alone and to be with you.”
They looked at each other, talking with their eyes. They all ended up nodding, before turning to Chan, who was smiling, proudly, and also nodded. “Okay, we accept it and will try our best to do your wishes! For the time being you have a room here to stay.” The alpha turned towards Seungmin.
“I’m sure that Minho-hyung and Felix already showed your room. It has a private bathroom, so don’t worry about sharing. We have a den, right next to Chan’s room, where we spend most of our time there, but you are not obligated to go there. We also put up a note if someone is in heat or rut. Talking about that, we have a calendar where we note down the heats and ruts of everyone, so please I ask you to note down yours.
“As for a job, we can work something, but for now I think you should just settle down, you can go out anytime you want, but please warn on the group chat, which we will add you. Anything you buy is with a card of your own from our bank account, don’t worry when you start working again you can contribute to it too.” Seungmin explained the most important things, saying that all the other things would be explained as the time goes by.
They ordered out and ate in the living room, sprawled in various spots, eating pizza by Jeongin’s request, with a random show playing on the huge flat tv screen as background noise. They let Changbin talk a bit about himself, his studies, his university life, his life with Sehun. They also shared a bit about themselves – Felix likes baking, Minho is their cook, Chan and Jisung sometimes make music, Jeongin is a gamer, Seungmin is a book worm and Hyunjin is an artist. They didn’t hint anything of what they do in the clan or in the casino, but Changbin didn’t press either.
They cleaned and retired to their rooms. Minho and Seungmin went to the computer room together, Seungmin because he needed some kind of reassurance.
Seungmin wanted to go with Hyunjin and Jisung to talk with Chan, because he knew Jisung wouldn’t express his concerns entirely, he would suppress everything just to make people happy. But he let himself be swayed by Jisung excuses. Since then, he hasn’t been okay with himself.
They reached the door, Minho being the one knocking. He knocked once and the door opened abruptly. Jisung had his eyes red, cheeks flushed with dry tear strikes, and a backpack on his shoulder.
“Jisung- “Minho tried.
“I will be at Jihyo’s for a while, I already told her.”
“Jisung, please – “
“Did he said yes?”
Seungmin sighed “No, he said he needed time.”
Jisung nodded, not looking at them “Good then, he seems serious. Don’t worry about me, I will be fine, I just need time…away from here.”
“Is it me?” a new voice sounded, they all turned towards Changbin, dressed in his pjs, hair messy and fluffy and glasses on. He was looking at them with concern eyes, stopping at Jisung’s red ones “I can go if- “
“No!” Jisung stalked towards the other omega and grabbed his hands, eyes hardening “No, they all need you more then never, you are perfect and just the thought that you can give them a pup is already everything.”
“Jisung! That’s- “
Jisung glared at his mates “It’s true! You know it’s true, and there’s absolutely nothing you can say back.” Now looking at Changbin “Hyunjin needs you more then ever, you are just everything Chan wants, and all the others will adore you so much. I know you said you need time but please consider it. Don’t worry about me, I’m fine or I will be fine, so please they need you, stay.” Jisung eyes were glossing over again, his hands trembling on his grip “Please, stay, they need you more than ever.”
Changbin, gently, switched their grip, now holding the hands of the trembling omega, looking at his eyes, seeing much more than his words were saying. “I do need time, and I will stay, but I will also wait for you.” Changbin smiled, sending comforting scent of cotton candy, feeling Jisung going a bit slump in his hold “So take your time, and tell me when we need me, as friend if that’s what you want.”
Jisung’s bottom lip was wobbling, holding back any kind of left over tears he still had to shed, nodding repeatedly and saying a small ‘thank you’, running down towards the stairs and out, not even looking back at his mates.
“I’m going to see who picks him up.” Minho followed right after, with a worried frown on his face. Seungmin stayed, shoulders slumped and close to tears, but cleaned his throat and looked at Changbin.
“I’m sorry about all of this- “
“His eyes were so broken.” The omega was still looking at where Jisung ran off, hands clasped on his front “I really wanted to hug him and shield him from the world. He is such a broken man.” He then turned to Seungmin “Many of you are, hopefully I can help you.”
Jisung was right, Changbin really is a catch.
