The last thing Hanagaki Takemichi remembered was being stabbed by his best friend, Mikey and died on his lap. He never thought his time leaping power would still triggered when he was holding Mikey’s hands. He woke up and discover that he is in a young body, way too young than he ever leaped to.
Year 1998. First grade school.
His mother calls him for breakfast but he ran out of the street after changing clothes, straight to the house of a person he trust with all his heart in the last timeline.
Sano’s family house.
Takemichi was about to push the door bell when a familiar black haired kid asked who he is and punch his face away. Keisuke Baji.
A girl came out from the house and scold the said boy while another teenage male walks at the commotion. He yell at another blond hair kid on a road while the kid nonchalantly replied the teen. Shinichirou, Emma, Sanzu.
“Who are you?” Baji glared at Takemichi, who is still frozen on the road.
“Eh? Me?” Takemichi just realized. He didn’t have any plans when he running to their house. He never meet any of them. He was thinking for excuses when a familiar figure walks behind the group. Takemichi’s eyes starts to watery.
“Huh? Who are you?” The light blond kid walks to them. “Mikey-kun…” Ahh.. it’s Mikey. He can’t believe it. Mikey is here.
“You..”
Takemichi is about to stand up and run away from there when Mikey calls for his nickname that only people from the future would have known.
“Takemitchy?”
Takemichi freeze. That name… No way.
“Mikey..?”
“You’re the ‘Takemitchy’?”
“You even called me that way… Why..?”
“HUH?!” “NO WAYYY!!”
“WE BOTH TIME LEAPED!!!”
The two kids scream out of their lungs and with tears in front of the house entrance. They then proceed to run into the roads with no plans, leaving the confused group behind.
“Huh? What’s up with them?” Shinichirou never heard Manjirou screaming that way before. He never meet the other kid and has become super confused on why were they running.
“Who knows. Let’s wait for Mikey to come back”
Shinichirou lead Baji and Sanzu into their house to wait for the two kids to come back. He need to make sure Manjiro did not skip his school.
One hour later.
Mikey come back home while hopping happily, followed by the unknown black haired kid that came to their house. Shinichirou with his high school’s uniform on feels his blood pressure risen as the school is almost starting. It was a miracle that both Baji and Sanzu came early but they were waiting for the said kid to come back home.
“Manjiro! You bastard where did you go early in the morning?!” Shinichirou smacks Mikey’s head when the boy got closer.
“AOWWW SHIN-NII THAT’S HURTS!”
“Where did you go? And who’s that kid?!”
Mikey rubs his head while his other hand grabbing Takemichi’s hand. Mikey glows up to Shinichirou and introduce his ‘new’ friend.
“Shin-nii! He is Hanagaki Takemichi. He saved my life! He’s my buddy! My crybaby hero! Takemitchy!!”
Mikey swings Takemichi’s hands up and down, fast and happily. Takemichi trying to match Mikey’s hyper energy but he is too weak and looks like he is flailing around , “M-Mikey-kunn..!!”
“He saved your life?!” Shinichirou ask with a wide eyes.
“Crybaby hero?!” “Buddy?!” “Who?!” Baji, Sanzu and Emma shocked from the ‘new’ friend introduction.
Shinichirou’s grab both Mikey’s shoulders , “What do you mean he saved your life? What did you do, Manjiro?!”
“It’s Mikey! Not Manjiro!” Mikey pull out his tongue, “Takemitchy saved me when I was in need. I owed him my life!”
“M-Mikey-kun.. I don’t think you-” Takemichi trying to get in between but stopped when a glare from Shinichirou reminds him of his place, “Did you get bullied, Manjiro? Anyone trying to hurt you?”
Mikey shakes his head and trying to let himself out from Shinichirou’s grips, “No one hurting me! Who dares to hurt the Mikey-sama?!”
Shinichirou sighs. He knows he won’t get any answer from Mikey. He turns his head to the black haired kid , “Takemichi-kun is it? Is it true you saved Manjiro?”
Takemichi scratch his own cheek, he questioning himself the same too. Is it considered saving him even though he failed at it? “Urmm… I don’t know if it is saving…” his words were cut by Mikey’s.
“NO! You saved me! You totally were! If you didn’t, I won’t be here!”
Mikey’s words managed to convinced Shinichirou. This weak looking kid saved his precious little brother huh. If so, they totally owe him. Shinichirou stand up and bow to Takemichi,
“Thank you Takemichi-kun, for saving Manjirou.”
Takemichi could feels his tear water dam is about to burst out.
“Manjiro might be a handful kid. I hope you don’t mind be friend with him. Do visit us anytime you like”
Shinichirou-san….
Tears coming out and it seems like it won’t be stopping for a while.
“Ohh!! He’s really a crybaby!!” Baji points to Takemichi’s face when he was wiping his tears with his arms.
“Keisuke, don’t point to people!” Emma shouts.
“Heh.. A hero huh?” Sanzu just staring at Takemichi.
Takemichi feels his other arms being pulled by Mikey, “Takemitchy! Let me introduce you! My aniki Shinichirou, my little sister Emma. That one is Baji and that one is Sanzu” Mikey properly introduce Shinichirou and Emma while just pointing his finger to the other two.
“Oiii!” “Oyy!”
Baji lunge towards Mikey while Mikey hops and avoid Baji’s attack. They go back and forth for a few times before Shinichirou grab both of their backs and scold them to go school.
Takemichi smiles widely, looking at the fresh new starts. He now won’t be alone. He’ll do it properly from the start, no one will die. He has a partner now.
This is their revenge.
