Summary
After the winter holidays, a lot happened to Regulus: Sirius ran away from home, he began death eater training with Belatrix, a werewolf came into his house, and he had a plan for his fifth year. Two actually. He had a mission entrusted to him by the dark lord, and oh, he was going to Obliviate himself to erase all his memories of his brother.
That way nothing would stop him from becoming the perfect heir and joining the Dark Lord.
His plan was going perfectly fine until someone began observing him. James Potter and Gryffindor golden boy suspected Regulus of something, and Regulus needed to get him off his track. But the Gryffindor kept coming to the Astronomy Tower at night, and they kept getting into fights.

Summary
As far as Regulus Black was concerned, he had wasted 17 years of his life on the altar of his family's traditions. Standing at the edge of a sharp cliff, staring at the moonlight-specked waves, he intended to repent for it with a more meaningful sacrifice. The harshest one he could think of.
He would soon find out, he had a whole lifetime for repenting ahead of him.The Dark Lord triumphed, and Lord Black found himself harbouring his master's horcrux, the world's only hope - along with a grieving older brother.

Summary
Regulus Black had accepted his terrifying death at the hands of the Inferni, content with the knowledge that he could at least be a thorn in Voldemort's side until his defeat. Unfortunately for him, Albus Dumbledore decides to save his life. To make matters worse, Dumbledore contracts Regulus to help him find and destroy the remaining horcruxes(ignoring Regulus's missing eye and slugh of other medical issues that come from almost dying) With no choice but to accept, Regulus follows Dumbledore's lead and finds himself dodging his family, friends, and his own mind while burdened with the knowledge that his Headmaster might know more than he should about future.
