Pup Acquired, He's Mine

Summary:

Izuku has been hiding his secondary gender but when UA's dorms are implemented there is not much he can do. When he gets his heat he doesn't know what to do.

PARENTAL Aizawa, solely PARENTAL bonds, no weird creepy stuff

Notes:

pretty sure this is my first omegaverse fic I've written? May be wrong, but hopefully I got the scenting bits right since I wasn't fully sure if neck scenting was solely seen as intimate but based off my resources online it is said it can be either, it depends solely on how its used

Chapter 1: Sometimes even heroes need a bit of help

Chapter Text

Realistically, he should have prepared for this day, he knew it would happen, and he had been dreading it. Omegas in the hero industry are a bit taboo, omegas are portrayed in the workforce as nurturing teachers, or loving therapists. Izuku had presented as younger than some others, he presented as an omega. A quirkless male omega is not a good matchup, it's practically unheard of with how unlucky he got. In the end, Izuku and his mother hid it, heats only about every three months so he can tough it out on his own and say he got sick. Sadly it wouldn’t keep working that way. When Izuku got to UA he was hopeful, with a brand new shiny quirk he was no longer the quirkless male omega, even if only one of the adjectives was removed… UA was amazing, and he got to meet his very first other male omega! His teacher, Aizawa-sensei was also a male omega which is staggeringly rare in numbers. Izuku could tell by his scent even if he didn’t mention it, only a quarter of the first years had presented and could know. Izuku hid his own scent with scent blockers even when not in heat to hide any tellings he had presented. Things went downhill when the dorms were implemented.

As mentioned before, he should have prepared. He felt dread and panic fill him as he sat up feeling clammy, knowing exactly what was happening. He felt a whine bubble up in his throat but he pushed it back. For now, he would claim to be sick and hope no classmates came to his room to check on him. It might be silly but after middle school, he can’t help but not feel 100% comfortable around his classmates, if offered a scented object he would probably reject it based on the amount of anxiety it would give him. Izuku slowly peeled away his blankets and pillows, grabbing clothes and other items to make his nest feel like a nest. His mother always chuckled and called him strange because he always nested even on the first day, the need for comfort being strong within him. Even if the nest had no other scents than his own it would be better than nothing, although the omega in his chest yearned to not be alone. He always spent his heats with his mom and would always cry when she left for work, he could feel his own tears now. He was generally very clingy and in need of comfort during his heats. Izuku waited until homeroom would have started before leaving his room to sneak into the kitchen and make breakfast. He also grabbed a water bottle and some snacks to eat. He was like that for most of the day, grabbing food during lunch as well before going back to his room with a stash of food to tide him over during dinner. As Izuku whimpered and scented his nest he still felt grateful his classmates hadn’t gone to his room, he got some “get well soon” texts during lunch but other than that things were fine.

It was the second day when things weren’t so fine. Izuku was holding back the urge to find All Might and drag him to his nest for comfort. Izuku ended up losing track of time as he didn’t eat breakfast and was desperately arranging and rearranging his nest, knowing what was missing but not being able to get it. Izuku felt like the quirkless male omega middle-schooler he once was as he whined and desperately moved his nest around. Eventually, there was a loud knock on his door. He would assume it was Iida if it wasn’t around time for English. Izuku was frustrated and held himself from snapping as he asked,

“Who is it?” There was a slight silence for a few seconds, maybe because of the underlying aggressive tone Izuku had. Eventually, a voice rang out,

“It’s your teacher, Aizawa. You haven’t shown up to class in two days and you haven’t gone to Recovery Girl. Your classmates are worried about you and I need to check on you to see if I need to drag you to Recovery Girl.” Izuku knew it was stupid that he always felt so connected to his teacher, he felt solidarity in the fact he was also a male omega, Aizawa never judged him and taught him so much, he was Izuku’s favorite ever teacher. Izuku held back a whimper and the urge to slam open the door and hug and scent Aizawa. Eventually, Izuku responded,

“I’m fine Sensei… I don’t need Recovery Girl, it’s just a mild cold.”

“Then let me in, I’ll be the judge of that. Last time you were fine you were suffering from a dislocated shoulder,” Aizawa argued. Izuku didn’t know how to respond, how to get him to leave. Eventually, he heard, “You better be decent, I’m unlocking the door.”

Izuku panicked as he heard the jingling of keys and he grabbed the large duvet he was debating on what to do with and threw it over the nest to try and conceal it. As the door creaked open Izuku looked over to see Aizawa furrow his brows and slightly crinkle his nose before locking eyes with Izuku. Seeing Izuku’s panicked face Aizawa relaxed slightly,

“I’m not mad problem child. It’s normal to be a bit panicked during your first heat.” Izuku felt shame bubble up in him as he shook his head,

“It’s not my first… It’s just not in my file.” Aizawa contemplated that for a moment before glancing around, seeing his room in disarray, his duvet covering his poor excuse of a nest.

“Where’s your friend’s stuff? Did you not ask for it? Knowing them they wouldn’t mind,” Aizawa softly said. Izuku frowned slightly, part of him wants scented items from his friends but he knows it would make him anxious, he needs family, not friends.

“Didn’t want it,” Izuku replied shortly. Aizawa pursed his lips slightly as he thought about something. Eventually, he spoke,

“Do you want to come to the teacher’s dorms? All Might isn’t there right now but he will be in a few hours after his classes end. You can wait for him there with me, I don’t have any more classes to teach today.” Izuku held himself from pouncing on the idea and instead nodded with a small smile. “Grab whatever you want and I will bring you to the dorms.”

Izuku went to his nest and grabbed only a few things, one was an All Might plushie he got when he was younger. It was limited edition and since he got it before he knew what limited edition was, it was well-used. Next was a fleece blanket, possibly the most comfortable thing in the world, and finally, he grabbed another blanket but this was another piece of All Might merch, it’s nothing special but he always loved the design and feel of it. Izuku turned back to Aizawa and walked towards him, ready to go.

“Want me to carry anything?” Aizawa asked. Izuku seemed to contemplate it for a minute before grinning and handing over the blankets as Izuku held the plush. Aizawa didn’t complain as they headed to the elevator. “Just so you know I already texted All Might, he is coming over as soon as his classes end.”

Izuku felt slightly nervous and guilty, nervous about this whole situation, and guilty for not telling All Might earlier. Izuku caught up in his thoughts didn’t realize he had started leaning against his teacher, rubbing his cheek onto his upper arm with a slight soothing purr. Aizawa was shocked, standing stiff as he felt his student rub his cheek up against him in an attempt to scent his clothing. Eventually, Aizawa relaxed and raised his free hand to ruffle Izuku’s hair. Izuku was the one to freeze this time as he realized what he was doing. He took a step away with his face red in embarrassment.

“I’m so sorry Sensei…! I–I don’t know what I was thinking. I’m so sorry if I made you uncomfortable…!” Izuku was working himself up into a panic apologizing until Aizawa flicked his nose and released calming pheromones. The elevator doors opened and Aizawa had Izuku follow as Aizawa began talking,

“It’s fine kid. You’re away from home experiencing a heat, I’m glad if I’m somehow able to provide comfort during this. As staff it is our job to protect students and have them trust us, it would be illogical to be upset with you doing just that.” Izuku still stammered in embarrassment,

“But!– I– But it’s weird still because I’m meant to be a hero! I can’t– plus it’s not like it’s just because you’re my teacher, it’s because it’s you–! I’m sorry I shouldn’t have–” That statement was filled with equal parts endearing and worrying. As the two crossed the paths between dorms Aizawa put his hand on Izuku’s shoulder to ground him slightly.

“Problem child, it’s fine. Just because you’re going to be a hero doesn’t mean you have to ignore your omega instincts. I don’t know exactly what you mean by it not because I’m your teacher but that’s fine too,” Aizawa comforted. Izuku blushed realizing what he said in his panic rambling. He knew he couldn’t dig his hole any deeper than trying to subtly scent his teacher so he might as well explain to make it possibly less weird,

“It’s because you’re so cool… You were one of my favorite heroes even before I got into UA, your quirk is so amazing, your property damage is extremely low, you have helped rehabilitate dozens of vigilantes and villains, and you have countless arrests even with no quirk use, it helped inspire me to keep being a hero. You genuinely care about all of us and believe in us, you’re nicer than any other teacher I’ve ever had, you never treated me any differently, you taught me so much, and you–you are like me.”

“Skipping over the concerning fact that I’m the nicest teacher you’ve ever had,  I can’t say I have had a fan from someone who didn’t first find me out because of being my student… Also, of course, I care about you all. You are great future heroes, even if I’m reluctant to admit it, you too with your bone-breaking habits and all, although that still needs to be fixed. I know for a fact All Might and all your other teachers believe in you as well. While you may be a problem child you are still a star student,” Aizawa said with a soft and kind tone as they entered the staff dorms, the kindness spoken to him was something Izuku wasn’t fully used to. You couldn’t really blame him for bursting out in tears when they entered the dorms. Aizawa’s eyes widened as he struggled to figure out what was wrong but eventually relaxed as he didn’t smell Izuku’s scent sour.

“I don’t get how you can say you aren’t a nice teacher when you’re so kind. You are so kind to me and straightforward, you are the only one other than All Might that I wanted to be around during my heat here,” Izuku sniffled as he hugged Aizawa. Aizawa embraced Izuku and let him cry it out as he let out pheromones to soothe him. As Izuku sobbed into his chest, Aizawa purred and rubbed his chin on the crown of Izuku’s head, scenting him as if he were a pup.

“Pup, want to come to my nest? I can stay here in the common room with you to wait for All Might instead if you want but my nest may be more comfy,” Aizawa persuaded, as if he himself didn’t want to cuddle the pup he was trying to not claim as his own child. Izuku nodded but made no indication of wanting to move even after he stopped crying. Aizawa waited for a few seconds before eventually just picking Izuku up. With no protest from the kid he brought Izuku to his and Hizashi’s room. He hopes the kid won’t mind Hizashi’s scent in the nest as well. Aizawa pushed down the handle kicked his door open and walked straight over to the nest before setting the pup down. He put the blankets he was holding around Izuku as he crawled into the nest with him. Aizawa was purring slightly in the back of his throat as he adjusted Izuku to make sure he was comfortable before fully laying down beside him. Izuku stared at him for a few seconds before asking,

“Can I have your wrist? I want your scent and to scent you.” Aizawa doesn’t hesitate as he gently brings his arm up between them. Izuku grabbed his wrist and gently rubbed his cheek, jaw, and neck against the scent gland as he chirped and purred. It was only a few minutes later when Izuku was seemingly content he practically headbutted Aizawa as he attempted to scent his neck. Aizawa grumbled as Izuku wriggled around and nuzzled his cheek against Aizawa’s neck. Despite his grumbling, he didn’t stop him. Eventually, Izuku decided he wasn’t getting enough attention and started keening.

“You sure are a clingy pup…” Aizawa snorted as he gave into Izuku’s neediness. Aizawa rubbed his wrist against Izuku’s neck, he also let out soothing pheromones and chirped as he put his arm over Izuku to protect his pup. Izuku grinned and hugged Aizawa and pushed his head into Aizawa’s chest. Aizawa sighed and just rubbed Izuku’s back.

It was a while later when Aizawa got a knock on his door. He froze for a few seconds and was preparing to hiss and snarl at whoever dared interrupt him and his pup until he heard All Might’s obnoxious voice, “I saw your message and you weren’t in the common room so I’m assuming you’re in there, how is Young Midoriya?”

Aizawa wrinkled his nose as his pup yawned. Aizawa glanced back at the door and considered ignoring All Might before ultimately deciding to reply,

“He’s fine. He doesn’t need you anymore, you can leave.”

“Wha– Young Aizawa! I assure you I can–”

Leave. ” Aizawa hissed as he pushed his pup’s head closer to his chest where he was safe. It was silent for a while more before All Might replied,

“Fine, but I am informing Young Yamada of what’s going on perhaps he can handle whatever… that was.” If Aizawa cared he might’ve been worried but when he had a whining pup in his arms because he was too focused on the door he couldn’t help but gladly ignore the world around him as he comforted his new pup.
