Chapter Text
“Awwww~ Freddy...I promise you, Monty is nothing like that!”
Bonnie sunk into his bubble bath further as he disputed with Freddy on the phone. Freddy sighed on the other side of the call, clearly annoyed, “Bon, I really don’t think he will be a good fit. Isn’t there anyone you could possibly contact that isn’t Montgomery?”
Bonnie gasped dramatically, bringing the phone closer to him, “Freddy, come on, you know there is no one I can trust to do this that isn’t him! He is just as a passionate musician as I am.”
Freddy brought his hand to his temple, rubbing it in frustration, “ Okay. Fine. If he accepts- which I doubt he will considering how last minute this is, I…I suppose it’d be okay if he-”
Freddy was immediately cut off by Bonnie’s excitement, “Oh I’m SO glad you came around! I’ll call him right now!”
The bear’s eyes widened. “H-Hold on! Bon, don’t you dare-” Freddy groaned at the sound of Bonnie hanging up. He did not want to have to deal with that alligator.
Bonnie removed one of the cucumber slices covering his eyes to dial Monty, eager to tell him of this opportunity.

“Have a good day, ma’am.” said Monty, handing the brown cat her change at the doorstep.
The cat nodded, closing the door. “You too, thank you!”
He ran back to his car as it continued to pour, eventually getting back into the driver’s seat. He threw his head back against the headrest with a groan. He finally finished delivering the pizzas he had to go through today and can finally go back home.
As Monty drove out of his parking spot and made his way down the highway, his car notified him of a call he was getting from Bonnie. Monty was surprised, as this was oddly random.
Monty clicked on the car’s screen to answer, only to be bombarded by Bonnie’s squeal on the other end.
“ MONTYY!~ How are you, babes?”
Monty smiled at the sound of Bonnie’s voice, “I’m doing- ugh, okay, why lie…I’m doing terribly right now.”
Bonnie’s voice quickly changed to one of concern, “Oh, Monty…who hurt you? Who do I have to beat up?”
Monty laughed at that, “Pft…no one, Bon- I’ve just been tired a lot more recently with this job.”
Bonnie smirked at the oddly convenient topic of conversation, “ Welllll~ lucky for you, you’re about to hear an amazing proposition! From yours truly, of course.”
Monty raised an eyebrow at that, “And what may that be?” That was when Monty heard Bonnie’s bath being drained in the background, distracting him from the topic of conversation “Bonnie. Are you taking a bath.”
“Why of course, Monty! I just got these incredible bath bombs. And, also, this face mask that looks just simply divine! It makes my fur feel so soft and plush… ” Bonnie cooed against the phone, getting into his magenta robe.
“Did you ever think that you could drop your phone in the bath?”
“Sure, but that doesn’t stop me, darling.” Monty could then hear shuffling on the other end, presumably Bonnie getting into his self care routine. Though, luckily for him, it seemed like Bonnie remembered the topic he was going to touch on, “Soooo anyways, darling…I’m heading off out of the country, which is why I called you.”
Oh? Thought Monty.
Bonnie continued, “A mental health break, if you will.”
“Oh. Uh, alright, no problem- how long will you be gone for?”
“Oh, a year.”
The casualness of Bonnie’s tone caught Monty off guard so badly that he thought maybe he misheard him. “I’m sorry- A YEAR?”
“Mhm..” Bonnie replied. “Which is why I would love for you to be the bassist of the Glamrocks for me while I am gone, and it’d be quite a shame if you passed up on this perfect opportunity~ I am making quite the generous offer, you know...”
He can’t be serious. “I- um…”
“I also told Freddy you would, sooo~”
Oh my god he is. “Bonnie! Why the fuck would you say that before asking me?!” Monty groaned. He wished he didn’t have to hear the word Glamrocks again after everything, but as if the universe had a vendetta against him, made the band one of the top bands in the country.
“Because I knew you would like this kind of offer! Isn’t this what you always wanted to be a part of?”
Bonnie was right. God so help me . “Well, yes- but Bonnibel this isn’t just any band. It’s a band with Freddy fuckin’ Fazbear in it!” Monty replied through clenched teeth. He hated that bear more than anything- and the fact he made a name out of himself makes him more jealous than he’d like to admit.
“Yes, I was going to get to that…look, I know what happened affected all of us- but it’s been years since then, and I like to think we all moved on-”
Monty sighed, “Oh I have moved on! But did Freddy ever, Bonnie?”
“If I’m going to be honest, he was pretty apprehensive, but I think he is open to starting over!”
Monty couldn’t help but feel bad. Bonnie sounds so hopeful and yet here he is, already assuming the worst.
“Okay, fine. When do you leave?”
Bonnie’s eyes lid up, “Really?! You’ll do it? Oh my gosh Monty, I’m so glad you came around! But…yes. I’ll be leaving today.”
Monty felt his heart sink, “T-Today?!”
“Oh, you know it! Sooo…be at my place ASAP, would you? OkaygoodtalkBYEE!~ ” Before he knew it, Bonnie was already gone. Monty groaned, why did he accept? He knew this had bad news written all over it yet he still accepted?! Was it for the money? Probably. He was just going to go with that. That was his motivation. The money. Think of the money, Montgomery!

It didn’t take long for Monty to make it to Bonnie’s place. He had his house built in his area so he guessed he was lucky in that department. Monty continued to drive until he made it to the gates of his house, the security knew him well enough to know what he was doing there so they let him in. The black gates opened to the absolute mansion of Bonnie’s house. It’s crazy how much success Bonnie has found since highschool and honestly Monty couldn’t help but be a little envious.
Monty continued to drive around the horseshoe driveway until he was able to find a good spot to park at. As he left his car, he put his jacket over his head so he could run to the door. Luckily it seemed like a butler saw him from outside and let him in.
Monty looked up to see the absolute extravagance of this house. He has been here a couple times already, but everytime he comes back, it always just seems more surreal.
“He will be out in a minute.” The butler monotoned, guiding him to the beginning of the bright pink spiral staircase. It was beautiful - it had white borders to highlight the pink with golden accents. The butler walked off to who knows where, but Monty waited.
Monty’s thoughts started to wander- how did he even get here? Waiting for his best friend at the bottom of the giant staircase in his own mansion while he was barely getting by… It's not like he would ever tell Bonnie how he was feeling because he didn’t want him to feel pity for him. Especially since that's the reason they-
Monty’s thoughts quickly got cut short at the sound of footsteps from upstairs.
“ Montyyy!~ ” Bonnie sang from the top of the stairs. Monty turned his head around to meet eyes with the rabbit. He had a glamorous robe with magenta tulle that almost looked like a gown, if he was going to be completely honest. The feathers on the sleeves ran down to the floor, almost folding like pleads of a skirt. He was even drinking wine- in the middle of the afternoon?
The rabbit jumped onto the railing of his pink spiral staircase and slid down it, sipping the wine in his hand. When he finally reached the bottom, he gave his wine glass to the awaiting butler in the bottom. “I’m so glad you made it! You even came before the others.” He was going to be honest- He was glad. He wanted to talk to Bonnie alone before Freddy got in the way.
Bonnie continued, “You want anything? I can bring you soda, water, smoothies-”
“Ah- thanks Bon- but I’m good. Thanks, though.”
Bonnie nodded in understanding, leading them both to the living room. As Bonnie and Monty both made their way down the hall, Monty noticed how- overbearingly pink this house was. There were golden accents on the pink walls, picture frames with gold, dark pink curtains on the tall windows, showing the sky was starting to clear from the rain, and revealed the californian palm trees- and just the absolute beautiful view Bonnie had. Monty knew Bonnie loved pink, but god damn was that a lot of it.
When they finally made it to the living room, it didn’t even feel like a living room. It was huge with shiny floors, and pink couches with fluffy pink pillows. Monty made his way to his side of the couch, laying down to sink down into it. He sighed, feeling peaceful…or almost, anyway. He was here for a reason- to be a part of the band. God was the anxiety starting to get to him.
“I just got the place cleaned up this morning before I leave. It’s usually not this tidy- I promise.”
Monty laughed nervously to himself, “That’s good- um…Bonnie?”
“Hm?” Bonnie looked at Monty with a smile, waiting for what he wanted to say.
“Are you… sure about this?” Monty’s tone turned into one of worry.
The bunny softened, placing a hand on Monty’s shoulder, “You’ll be alright. Chica and Freddy I’m sure have moved on since then. I can even tell you that Chica was excited to meet you again! If you want to tell me anything, let me know. I’m usually not a foot away from my phone anyway.” Bonnie said, laughing to himself.
“But moving on- Monty, darling, I was wondering if you can join us for dinner! You don’t have to- but It would be a great way for you to talk with Roxy and Chica. Freddy- I’m not sure, but I’ll talk to him if he gives you any trouble! Though that doesn’t mean you can give him any trouble either!” Bonnie said with a laugh and then a soft sigh.
Monty laughed dryly, “Right…well, sure. I wouldn’t mind some dinner.” he said with a soft smile, which made Bonnie do a small squeal of excitement.
Before Bonnie could reply, Bonnie’s butler entered the room which gained both of their attention. “Bonnibel. Your friends are here.”
Bonnie’s eyes lit up, “Oh great! Let them in here.” The butler nodded, before walking off.
After a few moments, which felt like forever because of the anticipation, he saw him . He didn’t look too different from the last time he saw Freddy- his dumb smile and his probably expensive-ass luxurious outfit.
“Bonnie!” Chica chirped with excitement as she ran over to the bunny.
Bonnie got up from his seat and ran over to her as well, jumping with excitement. “Chi-Chi! I missed you!” Bonnie exclaimed, hugging her tightly. Roxy, who was walking right behind Chica waved to Bonnie with a smile as the two hugged.
Chica sighed with content, leaning away from the hug, “Pft, awe- I missed you too! Oh- hey, Monty! I didn’t know you were already here! How are you?” Chica questioned, fully letting go of Bonnie.
Monty felt himself jump out of his train of thought, “Oh- h-hey. I’m good actually..thanks.” Monty mumbled awkwardly. He didn’t expect Chica to acknowledge him at all considering she was one of Freddy’s closest friends.
“Awe, that’s good. Gosh, I’m so happy you get to be our new bassist!” Chica smiled warmly, “You’re so talented! Bonnie back in highschool always showed us the duets that you did.”
Monty couldn’t help but smile at the compliment, he couldn’t possibly hate her. “Ah- thanks, Chica…you are a pretty good guitarist yourself.”
She was always so nice to him back then, but he expected her to change her attitude towards him considering how strongly her best friend feels about him. Speaking of her best friend, the motherfucker finally walked in. What the hell was he doing that took him so long?
Monty turned to Bonnie whose eyes sparkled when he noticed the bear. He squealed excitedly, “ Aaah! Freddy! Hihihi!~” Bonnie quickly ran to Freddy, hugging him tightly.
Freddy looked down with a smile, trying not to laugh at how always excited Bonnie is to see him. “Pft- Awe, Hi Bonnie! I’m excited for what you have planned for dinner.”
Being reminded about dinner, Bonnie quickly let go, pressing his hands together, “Oh my gosh yes! I have everything planned! I picked everyone’s favorite dishes.”
Freddy’s eyes softened, “Awe Bonnie, you shouldn’t have.”
“Oh, I insist! I’m going to be gone for a while after all sooo~ everyone in the dining room! Gogogogogogo! ”
Roxy and Chica laughed, making their way to the dining room with Bonnie, leaving Freddy and Monty alone.
Monty was slowly losing his mind, was Freddy even going to acknowledge him? It wouldn’t surprise him if he didn’t- but the anticipation of the possibility of having to interact with him killed him a little inside.
Luckily for Monty, he would soon get his answer. As Monty was going to make his way into the dining room with everyone else, Freddy turned to Monty knowingly, “Hello, Montgomery.” Freddy said with a fixed smile.
“Oh. Uh- hey…Freddy..?” Monty said with an uncertain expression, he wasn’t sure why Freddy was trying to be friendly. Monty looked over to the others who were already sitting down onto their chairs, and then looked back to Freddy. Why did I agree to this?
Freddy had an unreadable expression on his face, making his way closer to Monty, “Joining us for dinner?” This prick. He wants me to say no, doesn't he? Tryna be all innocent…
Monty smiled knowingly, “Actually I am. Sorry to disappoint.” Monty walked closer into Freddy’s face with a glaring look.
Freddy’s smile faltered, but quickly regained itself, “Good. I would love to get to know my bassist more. Speaking of which, we have a lot to talk about.” Freddy walked past Monty and stopped at the entrance of the next room, making Monty’s eyebrows furrow in surprise. We do? Monty turned to face Freddy again and was met with a small smile.
“Welcome to the band, Monty.” Freddy mocked with a false tone of welcome before walking off inside into the dining room with the others. Monty just stood there in annoyance, before following behind the bear to meet up with everyone else at the table. Roxy and Chica sat next to each other near Bonnie who sat at the left end of the table.
Monty cursed to himself, he was hoping Bonnie wouldn’t sit there so he can sit as far away from Freddy as possible. Now he had no choice but to either be next to Freddy or across from him and he honestly didn’t know which was worse.
Both Freddy and Monty met eyes for a moment before Freddy made his way to sit next to Bonnie, leaving him having to sit next to that prick if he wanted to be closer to his best friend.
Monty sat begrudgingly next to him before looking at Bonnie. The rabbit looked at them both with a smile, putting his hands together before speaking, “I’m soooo happy you all could make it here! I hope you’ve been giving my precious darling Monty all the warm welcomes that you possibly can…right, everyone?”
Monty grinned to himself before looking at the others awkwardly. Good god why did I agree to this!
Chica smiled brightly. “Why, of course! We’re all happy to have you here, Monty.”
Monty knew that probably wasn’t true, but he digressed, “T-Thanks…” Chica looked at Monty sympathetically, did she feel bad? Did she know something that he didn’t?
Bonnie motioned his hands towards the food, “Well, go on, everyone. Eat. There’s a wide array of meals you can choose from, afterall~ I want this all off my table by the end of tonight!” Everyone laughed at Bonnie’s enthusiasm before digging in. Though something felt…off. It was too silent. Roxy, being the first one to notice, decided to speak up.
“So, Monty, how long have you been playin’ for?” Monty’s eyes widened, as he didn’t expect a sudden question while in the middle of eating his jambalaya.
Monty cleared his throat before speaking, “Oh, uh….since forever, I guess. I’ve always liked to play the bass.”
Monty looked over next to him to see Freddy put down his fork, deciding he should chime in, “You must be very experienced, then.”
Monty laughed awkwardly, stammering, “ Eeh… well, heh- I wouldn’t say I’m that good. This is the first time I’ve ever been in a real band before, so- kinda nervous…”
Bonnie slammed his spoon on the table, gaining everyone’s attention, “Oh but but but! You have had practice with little ol’ me back then~”
Monty’s expression softened at the reminder of his highschool days. He missed how simple it was back then. “Oh, yeah…me and Bonnie used to do duets together with my old guitar. ‘Was fun.”
Bonnie nodded enthusiastically, leaning over to look at Monty over Freddy, “It was! Oh, you’re so talented Monty~”
Freddy smiled tensely, feeling awkward he’s in the middle of both of them, “Ah, that’s… wonderful - I’m glad you’ve had a meaningful experience playing with Bonnie.”
Chica cooed, voice soft with affection, “ Awww! You two should totally play together again sometime!”
Roxy scoffed, “ Pah- well if Bonnie didn’t decide to go up and leave so suddenly I’m sure they could’ve.” Freddy stayed silent, narrowing his eyes down at his plate. He really didn’t want to be here right now. He just wanted to try to focus on eating and dissociate.
“Well, sorry! Like I said, I need a little mental health break-”
Roxy snickered at that, “I don’t think an entire year counts as ‘little’- but sure, my dude.”
Chica quickly broke in, not wanting anyone to get hurt, “What Rox is trying to say is that she’ll miss you! We all will!”
Bonnie smiled, his eyes sparkling, “Oh, I’m flattered. But really, you guys will be just fine without me. Monty’s the best replacement I could’ve ever asked for~ You won’t even notice that I’m gone.”
Monty gave a half-hearted smile, “I’ll notice that you’re gone.”
Roxy lowered her head, ears flattening, “I’ll definitely notice…”
Freddy looked away, deciding to join in, “…me too.”
Bonnie darted a glance to everyone around the table, looking sympathetic, “Hey- now don’t look at me like that! Why do you all look so…. down? I’m trying to make the best out of this current situation, and you should too!”
Roxy rolled her eyes, “We wouldn’t be here in the first place if you didn’t decide to leave for- oh what was it again…a year!” Freddy tapped his nails against the table, conversation continuing to be unbearable.
Chica looked back at Bonnie with uncertainty, “Well…I wouldn’t put it like that but….I do agree, a year is a lot. M-Monty’s great and all but-”
Monty jumped in bluntly, “Yeah, uh, I don’t really think this is much of a warm welcome- I feel kind of… unwanted. ”
He stops drumming his fingers on the table, and something in Freddy snaps . He couldn’t take Monty’s presence much longer, he wanted him out.
“ Unwanted ?” Freddy mocked, turning to him, “I’m pretty sure the others have made it plenty clear that they wouldn’t mind you being here. If you were paying attention, they were more upset at Bonnie leaving abruptly.” Freddy growled, knitting his brows together. Chica just stared, eyes wide and jaw dropped.
Well, well. There he is. Monty laughed dryly, glaring at Freddy, “Okay- just what is your problem, man? I feel like you’re always trying to get under my skin.”
Freddy narrowed his eyes before turning away, “I have no idea what you're talking about, Monty. I'm just trying to enjoy the meal like everyone else.” Roxy and Chica looked between the two nervously and then looked at each other. This didn’t look good.
Monty snarled, baring his teeth, “Yeah, right. You've always had it out for me, ever since we met! I don't know what I ever did to you, but you seem to take great pleasure in talking shit about me every chance you get-”
Freddy rolled his eyes, “Oh you did plenty, Montgomery. You want to know what your problem is? You're so wrapped up in your own ego that you can't see past it. You think that everything revolves around you, but guess what? You're not as important as you think.”
Monty’s eyes darkened, standing up from his seat, now looking down at Freddy, “ …excuse me ? Who the hell do you think you are?!”
Bonnie quickly stood up as well, quickly walking over to Monty, putting his hand on his shoulder to motion him to sit down, “ Hahaha-! Alright everyone- let's all calm down here. Deep breaths…this is supposed to be a friendly gathering, remember?”
Chica stammered nervously, “Y-Yeah, we shouldn't be fighting like this!”
Monty completely ignores Chica, still glaring at Freddy, baring his teeth, “No, you know what? I-I’m done with this-” Monty banged his hand against the table, the sound of his utensils clanging, making everyone at the table flinch, “I don't need to sit here and take this kind of bullshit from anyone, especially you, Freddy !”
Monty groaned before storming out of the room, leaving everyone in shock. Roxy looked at Chica with concern, “What the hell was that about?” Roxy whispered, making Chica sigh, “It’s…a long story.”
Bonnie looked at the doorway with worry, before deciding to follow him, “Monty, wait! Come back!”, but before Bonnie could get a step in, Freddy put a hand on his shoulder to stop him, his voice soft, “Let him go, Bonnie. He needs to learn how to handle criticism.” Bonnie looked down to the floor, frowning.
Roxy spoke up awkwardly, not sure if this was the right time to say anything, “Uh...but what about the band? Are we just supposed to continue without a bassist?”
Chica looked at her worriedly, “W-We can’t!” Freddy looked at the two feeling a bit guilty. He probably should have just kept his thoughts to himself- and now he made Chica and Roxy upset as well.
Bonnie spoke, “I'm sorry, everyone…I didn't mean for things to go this way. Maybe it was a bad idea to bring Monty into this after all-”
Freddy shook his head, looking at him sympathetically, “Oh no, Bon, it isn’t your fault you didn’t have anyone else to turn to. It’s Monty that messed everything up, not you.” Chica mentally facepalmed at that, he wasn’t helping at all!
“I-I just needed some time off to clear my head- but I didn't realize how much it would affect everyone else…”
Chica looked at Bonnie with a small smile, “It's okay, Bonnie. We understand. Just...let's try to work things out and move forward from here, okay?”
Bonnie thought to himself for a moment and looked back at the door, he couldn’t sit here and not do anything, “I-It’ll be only a moment, loves....I’ll return soon with Monty dearest. Please keep enjoying the food.”
Bonnie shook off Freddy’s hand before rushing outside, after knowing Monty for so many years, he of course knew where he had stormed off to. Whenever Monty’s anger issues got out of control in the past, a fresh breath of air had always calmed him down. Even so, Bonnie needed to make sure he was okay, I mean what was all of that anyway?
Meanwhile, Monty finally found somewhere in this giant mansion that had a good sized patio, he turns the knob and opens the door, immediately inhaling the fresh air before exhaling with a groan. That fucking bear…
Monty reaches into his pocket, finding his pack of cigarettes and his lighter. He took one cigarette before putting the rest of the pack back, then nonchalantly with seemingly no effort turned on the lighter and ignited the cigarette. After a couple moments, Monty held it in between his fingers, and inhaled the smoke. The gray smoke twirled skyward as Monty went to rest his arms against the railing with a sigh, enjoying the silence….before it was abruptly interrupted. Monty groaned in annoyance.
“ Montyyyy! Yoo-hooooo! I know you’re there, darling!” Bonnie said affectionately before opening the door, Monty looked away to the side.
“Bonnibel…not right now.”
Sensing Monty’s anger, Bonnie quickly tried to soothe him, “C-Calm down, it’s just me. You’re lucky I didn’t send off the others to come get you, you know? You can talk to me!” Monty turned around and leaned against the railing, looking at Bonnie with a glare before taking another hit of the cigarette.
Bonnie frowned, “Monty, I thought I told you to stop with the smoking. Cigarettes smell terrible. I hope you don’t kiss anyone with that breath.”
Monty sighed, murmuring, “..hhhhgn..right.” before crushing it in his hands and flicking it off, “…anyway, good. They all probably hate me anyway. I’m done with this bullshit from everyone…”
Bonnie’s expression softened before walking over and placing a hand on Monty’s shoulder gently, “N-Now don’t say that...they don’t hate you! Chica and Roxy have probably taken quite a liking to you already and...well, Freddy just needs more time to adjust, I suppose. He just likes- following routine! You being the new bassist is a very big change for the poor darling, I might’ve underestimated how overwhelmed he must be feeling right now.”
Monty snickered, “Yeah, easy for you to say- you never have to deal with any of his bs. Need more time to adjust my ass .”
Bonnie gently brushed his hand to Monty back, moving it in circles to try to comfort him, “‘Never have to deal with any of his bs’? Whatever do you mean?”
Monty sighed deeply, “ Don’t play dumb with me right now, Bon… ”
Bonnie’s ears stiffened straight, “Play dumb? Babe, I’m genuinely confused at what happened back there. I thought you two would get along despite the things that’s happened- but I guess that's just wishful thinking on my part…”
Monty rubbed his temple in frustration, “Ugh- not just that! I-I mean in general…he’s always had it out for me, and you’re choosing to ignore the fact?”
Bonnie laughed nervously, “W-Well…” looking away awkwardly.
Monty grumbled before continuing, “And with today- he wants you to think things are going well, but he was just bein’ passive aggressive all night!”
Bonnie chewed on his pointer finger’s nail nervously, “…oh, no wonder his tone felt a little bit forced! Haha!”
Monty facepalmed and groaned tiredly, “….I’m sorry, ‘Belle..but I’m not sure if I can take your spot. Freddy’s right-“
Bonnie stood in shock, blinking twice, “Um…haha, pardon-” Bonnie took his other hand to rub the bridge of his nose before continuing, “You don’t want to…take the job?”
Monty nodded, “Yes. Freddy is such an arrogant, annoying, and petty bastard. He’s just some dumb pretty boy who thinks he knows best in everything!”
Bonnie moved his hand off of Monty’s back and quickly moved in front of him with his hands out, “B-But! Monty, the vacation- I have no one else to turn to! I-I know things with you and Freddy have been…rocky to put it lightly- but that’s exactly why I set up this dinner before I left! For you all as a group to get along!” Bonnie put his hands together, putting on the puppy eyes, “D-Do you…not appreciate my efforts?”
Ah, shit . Monty quickly turned his head to not look at Bonnie, hiding his face with one of his hands, not wanting Bonnie to see him cracking a smile, “Bon- y-you know I hate those eyes!”
Bonnie then started pouting his lips, and moved closer to grasp Monty’s free wrist with both of his hands, now looking down at them, “ Montyyyy….baby….don’t quit. Could you stay and take over my spot in the band for me? Please? Even if you have to put up with little Fred bear? I promise to make it be your worthwhile! I can have more of that favorite food of yours prepared by the chef too, just-“ Bonnie paused before looking back up with his sparkling magenta eyes, “ …don’t go? ”
Monty looks down at Bonnie’s hands and puts his other hand that was once covering his face over Bonnie’s, “But..Bon- he is such an ass!” Monty said, dryly laughing before meeting Bonnie’s eyes, “Like, I hate- stop pouting!” Bonnie giggled before sighing wistfully.
“Bonnibel..Freddy- he’s so…”
Bonnie’s ears flattened, speaking softly, “S-So what, Monty?”
Monty couldn’t handle it anymore, he was a sucker for those puppy eyes. He looked away, crossing his arms, “He’s..okay, nevermind..a-alright, I’ll stay-”
Bonnie seemed to stare blankly for a moment before immediately lighting up realizing his mind wasn’t playing tricks on him, “ You will?! ”
Monty rolled his eyes, “I guess…though it won’t be easy with that son of a bitch.”
Bonnie, too excited to make a comment at that, swoops in for a tight hug, “Oh I knew I could count on you, darling! I can not thank you enough!”
Monty looks down at Bonnie with a relaxed soft smile, hugging him tighter, “I love you- you know that? Almost painfully so…”
Bonnie chuckled softly before going on his tippy toes to nuzzle his muzzle against Monty’s cheek, “I love you too Monty-boo!”
Bonnie then slowly unwrapped his arms around Monty, turning around to start walking towards the door, “Well? Ready to head back inside?”
Monty widened his eyes, before quickly tugging Bonnie back into the hug, but now hugging him from behind, “No- not yet…I wanted to ask….why…just why him? Why Freddy? Why is he your friend?”
Bonnie raised an eyebrow, looking up to meet Monty’s deep red eyes, “Um? I’m afraid I don’t know what you’re asking, darling-”
Monty paused for a moment before continuing, “Just- what do you see in him that I don’t see- because he just won’t let me-”
Bonnie’s eyes lit up, getting out of Monty’s grasp, perking up at the opportunity to talk about Freddy, “Oh, babe, Freddy is just the sweetest thing! I knew him my whole life, after all! He is always out there for others and has been an amazing help to get this band to where it is today! Oh he is just the greatest leader too, always so kind and generous- but very hardworking too. You two are going to be the best of friends in no time, I just know it!” Bonnie then walked off to the door, turning the knob and looked back with an innocent smile, “Does that answer your question?”
Monty looked down, mumbling, “ Doesn’t make it any easier to understand him… ”
Bonnie raised an eyebrow, “…what was that, darling?”
“Nothing, BonBon…I’ll just go back inside. Sorry for making such a big deal out of everything-” Monty then walked towards the door which Bonnie had opened for him and entered back inside.
Bonnie smiled warmly, “Oh, it’s no problem! Freddy was giving you quite a tough time, so I understand.”
The two continued to walk until they finally made it back into the dining room, though the atmosphere looked almost worse . Both Chica and Freddy were just staring at their plates while eating in silence with a frustrated expression, were they arguing?
Roxy’s ear twitched and turned to the door which made Roxy look back. Realizing they came back, she tapped Chica’s shoulder, making Chica turn back and her expression immediately brighten, “ Guys! You’re back!”
Bonnie waved enthusiastically at them both, “Hi! See…I told you guys we would be quick.”
Before Bonnie and Monty could reach their seats, Roxy stood up which stopped the two in confusion, “Actually, Chica and I just finished our meals.”
Bonnie looked over Roxy to see Freddy also finished his meal, “Ah. I see- well, I suppose you guys can help me put my luggages in my car!” Everyone nodded, following Bonnie to where they presumed his luggages were.
Finally, they reached Bonnie’s bedroom, which had a bunch of filled luggages and bags scattered around. Bonnie looked at everyone with a smile, “Here we are!”
Roxy looked to luggages then back at Bonnie with a nervous smile, “Shit, Bon- that’s…a lot of stuff.”
Bonnie laughed to himself at that, “Mm, not really, no! This is only like…3 months worth of stuff. I’ll get everything else I would want wherever I head off to!”
Roxy took the time to stare at all the luggages probably stuffed with clothing and other useless belongings, “I…uh, see.”
Chica smiled, putting her hands together enthusiastically, “Well let's get to work on packing, shall we?”
≪ °❈° ≫≪ °❈° ≫≪ °❈° ≫≪ °❈° ≫≪ °❈° ≫≪ °❈° ≫
“Well thank you so much everyone for all the help! I don’t know how to thank you guys!” Bonnie exclaimed, hugging everyone lovingly.
Roxy strained to talk while Bonnie hugged her tightly, “Just…make sure to call often, okay?”
Chica nodded at that, “Yeah!”
Freddy threw the last luggage in the truck before sighing and closing it with a soft smile, “We will miss you, Bonnie.”
Bonnie’s eyes lit up, “ Awwww , I will miss you guys too! Also, Monty-” Monty turned to look at Bonnie and immediately went over to catch thrown keys that Bonnie threw at him, “You can stay in my house if you would like! I told my house staff to assist you as they would with me if you decide to stay there!”
Monty’s eyes widened and immediately he shook his head, “What! But Bonnie-”
Bonnie smiled sympathetically, “Bup-bup-bup, I insist!”
Monty’s expression softened, grateful for the opportunity, “Wow-…thanks, Bonnibel.”
Bonnie laughed, making his way into the back seat of his car. I mean, did you actually think he would be the one to drive? “ Of course, darling! Well, I’ll be heading out to the airport now- I’ll call the group chat before I take off in the air okay? Love you guys!” Everyone said their goodbyes, waving while Bonnie got driven out of the property.
Chica looked over to Monty with a playful grin, “…I guess that means you’ll be staying here?”
Monty smiled back, looking down at the keys, “I guess so-”
Roxy smirked, looking down at the keys as well, “ Niceee! Man, if only he let me keep the keys instead. ” The three laughed before Freddy broke in the conversation, his eyes dark.
“Monty.”
Monty turned to look at Freddy with a frown, “…uh, yeah?”
Freddy then took out his phone, appearing to text someone before Monty’s phone vibrated, making him realize Freddy was texting him.
Monty opened the tab, revealing an address, “That’s the address to the studio.”
Monty stared at the message before speaking up, “How’d you get my number?”
Freddy shrugged, “Bonnie gave it to me.”
Monty narrowed his eyes before looking away, “…right.”
Freddy nonchalantly replied, “Well- I’ll see you tomorrow.” Are we just going to ignore what happe- okay, fine
“Yeah! Bye, Monty! ” Chica cooed, making her way to her car with Roxy, “See ya!”
Monty waved goodbye at the two before heading off inside what was now his new place for the time being. It was a lot nicer than his apartment, to put it lightly- so he couldn’t wait to experience a luxury like this. Monty quickly ran to one of the bedrooms with a sigh of content before feeling himself relax against the mattress. He was going to love it here, this house, this job…and he wasn’t going to let Freddy get in the way.
