Chapter 1: Fragments of trust
Chapter Text
About five years ago, Midoriya was framed as a traitor of UA. Everyone believed it except for a select few. He was thrown in jail for two months and later found innocent, but the damage was done. He decided to leave UA, and Eri went with him because she hated them for what they did to him. No one has heard anything about them since.
Class 1-A fell apart after that. Ochaco, being the only one to believe he was innocent, stopped talking to any of them.
Shoto felt guilty about not believing in his first friend and started to doubt his every decision. He is only 1907 in hero's rankings.
Mina and Kirishima blamed themselves and decided to look into Midoriya’s past. They found out about what Bakugou did and realized he was a bully, and they supported him, which made them feel even more guilty.
Bakugou said it was good he left and made fun of him every chance he got, but in all reality, his grades were slipping. When it came to the rescue training in the second and third year, he was at the bottom of the class. Now he's not even ranked. People know who he is but are scared of him.
Iida stepped down as class rep and changed schools. He hasn't talked to anyone from UA since. He is known in the hero world for not having friends.
Asui felt like she lost her little brother and started acting more reserved. The rest of the class was the same as her.
They won the war, but at a cost. Sato lost his leg during a battle, while many others had minor injuries. Many pros died, but no students did. Everyone realizes it would have been easier with Midoriya there.
Now five years later, Nedzu has finally found him and sent an email to Toshinori, Aizawa, and Ochaco. And is in a meeting with them.
“Are you sure it's the problem child?”
“Yes, quite sure. It seems he's in Shirakawa.”
“You mean that small town that has only one hero?” Toshinori asks.
“Yes, that's the one.”
“How do you know it’s Deku-kun?” Nedzu hands them a list.
“Do these powers sound familiar to anyone? Super strength, black ropes, flight, and super speed all while green electricity comes off his body.”
“That's definitely Midoriya, but why is he using his quirk? He shouldn't have a license.” Aizawa says.
“I looked into that and found out that he has one from the United States of America.”
“David and Melissa.” Toshinori says.
“I believe so. I checked their flight logs from five years ago, and they landed here two days after Midoriya was released and left immediately. So I assume they picked him and Eri up and left.”
“I need to see him again.” Uraraka says.
“I already booked you all a flight, so go to him. And bring him home.” He hands them all tickets and sends them on their way.
Izuku POV
“Eri, it's time to wake up.”
“Ok, Dad.” She is already in workout gear. “I'm ready for our run.” This has become a morning tradition for us since we left UA and made a home here. It started out with me carrying Eri on my back while I ran, but about a year after we moved here, she started to run alongside me. We start our run and pass by the market stalls being set up and wave at them. I'm thankful I have my hero license. I never wanted to be popular, just wanted to save people. Now there's not a lot of action around here, but I help out with many tasks in this town. I help the firefighters and police when they need it, but I mostly help the townspeople with whatever they need, be it gathering crops or setting up festivals.
When I first moved here, the townspeople were kinda skeptical of why a hero would move here, but as soon as they saw Eri, they opened up with open arms. Eri is one of five children in the town. But I hear one of the teens who moved away for hero school is moving back here in a few months, so at least if something happens to me, they'll still have a hero. I met the kid before and trained her a little. She's a good kid. She kinda reminds me of Uraraka. God, that still hurts to remember. At least she believed me. That peace of mind knowing the person I cared most about in class believed in me. Along with All Might, Aizawa, and the big three, they were the only ones who believed I was innocent. Everyone else believed it.
When we get back from our run and each take a shower, I make a quick breakfast of eggs and toast. Since Eri does online school, she is finished for the week. She is actually super smart. She claims she got it from watching me. But I think she always had it in her. She just needed a little encouragement. Her quirk training didn't take long either. Within two weeks, I was able to teach her how to control it. We still practice regularly, but it doesn't take long. And she is still a bit shy, but she is more friendly to the ones she gets to know first. But she's not scared to speak opinions to anyone. If she thinks you're doing something wrong or stupid, she'll tell you. Being eleven, I wish she had more friends her age, but she doesn't mind.
“Hey Eri, you'll be twelve soon. Have you figured out what you want?”
“Not really, I haven't really thought about it.”
“How about a Lemillion poster?”
“That'll be good, but I was thinking more of an Uravity one.”
“That I can do.” I smile. After breakfast, Eri starts washing our plates while I go to my room. I open the top drawer in my dresser and open a hidden bottom. I pull out a picture of me and Uraraka. It's one of us cheek to cheek and both blushing. I didn't keep many pictures from before, but this one I look at often. I sometimes wonder how she is doing. Before I can think for too long, my alarm goes off, and I quickly run back to the living room.
“Eri, hide like we practiced.” I order, and she does so. I quickly look at the location of them, and there at my front door. I fling it open and quickly use black whip to tie them up.
Toshinori POV
It took longer than we expected to find Young Midoriya. Many say we just missed him while he was on his run with his daughter. And many start gushing over how much of a great guy he is. Finally, we met the mayor of the town. He is an old short man that reminds me of Gran. I shiver a little thinking about him. He'll kill me if I don't bring Young Midoriya home. We talk for a while, and he asks us questions about why we're looking for him. We explain we're old friends and teachers just searching for him. We also find out that he doesn't officially have a hero name since everyone here knows him. We finally get told where he lives.
As we walk up to the house, it is a modest two-story house with a long driveway. I see an old truck parked in front of the house that reminds me of my old truck. When we reach the door, it flings open, and we get wrapped in black whip.
“Who are you?” Young Midoriya says before he realizes it's us.
“Deku-kun, it's us.” He releases black whip. She runs and hugs him.
“I'm sorry I can never be too careful. Eri, it's safe, come on out.” He says, and like magic, Eri pops out of a hidden compartment in the floor.
“Problem child, it's good to see you.” Aizawa says.
“You guys too, how about y'all come on in.” He says, and Uraraka finally releases him, and I get a better look at him. He hasn't got much taller, but he looks more mature. The baby fat on his face is gone, and his body is more lean. He also has a five o'clock shadow. His freckles are all but gone. If it wasn't for the curly green hair, I wouldn't recognize him.
We all sit on his couch while he and Eri go and fix us some tea.
“Ok, I'll say it. That Midoriya is different from the one who left.” I say.
“I agree. He still has that warm atmosphere, but when we were stuck in black whip, I could feel that he also was willing to do anything to protect Eri, let alone stop us.” Aizawa says.
Uraraka is too distracted taking in her surroundings. From what we can see, most of the pictures on the walls are of him and Eri or just Eri. A few pictures of Midoriya with other people, but not many.
Eri POV
I don't know how they found us, but they did somehow. I know they are the ones who thought he was innocent, but I don't trust them besides Uraraka. I look at dad, and he is clearly holding in a panic attack. I hate seeing him like this. I remember when I first found out what happened to him. I was scared that my favorite hero was never going to come back. But when he was finally released, I saw him again. He was saying goodbye to me, but I refused to let him leave without me. That's how we ended up here.
I could tell he was still in pain from what happened but not just physically but mentally. I still catch him looking at the picture of him and Uraraka. I know that he loved her and still does. If I had to guess, her believing him is probably what kept him alive.
That's why I trust her because she tried to stop this while Aizawa and All Might told him to cooperate and that it would be over soon. I honestly can't believe them. They knew he was innocent yet they still made him go to that awful place. They didn't have to see him afterwards. He looked awful. The new scars on his body that took convincing for him to let me rewind him. But I finally convinced him when I had better control of my quirk by framing it as a test to see how far I've gotten.
We finally get the tea ready and bring it out to them. We sit on the other couch. “I'll be honest, I don't trust any of you besides Uraraka.”
“Why not?”
“Because unlike her, you two told him to go with them. You know how much mental trauma that has given him. It took me six months to convince him to rewind his scars. I had to frame it as an exercise to see how far along my quirk training was coming.”
“But Eri, we never got that far.”
“You didn't. He got me mastering my quirk in two weeks. So don't think of me as that scared little girl anymore.” Aizawa looks at the ground. All Might goes to say something, but I stop him. “And do you have any idea what it's like having the man who you think of as a father tell you to go with them. To that place.” He also looks down like Aizawa. “Uraraka, follow me. I want to show you something.” We walk to Dad's room, and I quickly go to the fake bottom on his dresser drawer. And pull out the pictures he keeps. Ninety percent of them are of her.
“Why did he keep these?”
“He won't admit but he loved you back then and still does. You are the one person who truly believed him. Hell, even Mirio doubted him a little bit. But you always knew the truth.”
She starts crying. “He loves me even after I let them take him.” I hug her.
“He knows you couldn't stop them.”
“I still love him.”
Chapter 2: Underneath the stars
Summary:
Izuku has the talks that was a long time coming. He is trying to figure out if he wants to return with them or stay. Feelings finally get realized
Notes:
I should explain some things. Izuku was suspected after he unlocked black whip. Bakugou doesn't know about One for All since All Might was smarter in this fic.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
**Uraraka's POV**
As I say it out loud, I almost can't believe it. I always knew it but never said it out loud. “I love him. I love Yagi Izuku.” I say it again to make sure it's real.
“Good because he needs someone. As much as I wish I was enough for him, but I know he needs someone like you to love. And in all honesty, he needs you,” Eri says.
“Why does it have to be me?”
“He won't admit it, but you're the only reason he didn't go off the deep end. Everyone else could think of him however they wanted, but you... If you didn't believe in him, I don't want to think of what would happen,” she explains.
“I'll try,” I say, not really knowing if I can really do it. It's been so long since I had to confront these feelings that I honestly forgot how. We quickly leave his room when Izuku returns. I finally see him in his new hero suit. It is very similar to his original, just a bit more high-tech and a darker green. It is also missing the hood. I watch as he presses a button on it and it collapses down into a necklace hanging around his neck.
“Wow, that's an impressive suit, young Izuku,” Toshinori says.
“Nanotech, David and Melissa made it,” Izuku explains. “But let's get back to the conversation we were having before I left. I simply don't know if I can go back. It's hard to think about seeing everyone who doubted me. But I'll think about it.”
“That's all we ask, Problem Child.”
“Just call me Izuku, Aizawa. Y'all can stay the week because me and Eri are celebrating her birthday next week.”
“Ok Izuku, are you sure it's ok?”
“Yeah, I have the room. Besides, it was just going to be us this year since the others are busy.” He shows us each to a guest room and leaves with Toshinori to pick up groceries.
**Toshinori's POV**
As I sit in the passenger seat of Izuku's truck, I feel a bit nostalgic. “This is a nice truck, Young Izuku.”
“Yeah, when I saw it I thought of the beach and bought it. Look in the glove box.” I look in the glove box and see a picture I took of us on the tailgate of my truck. “That was the day I finally finished cleaning the beach.”
“Yes, I remember taking this picture. It was quite a day.”
“So I'm assuming Uraraka and Aizawa know about One for All.”
“Yes, after you were taken into custody, I informed them of it because they were the only ones to believe in you. Uraraka took it quite hard when I revealed that you were quirkless before, while Aizawa was mad that we hid it from him. Which I can't blame him for.”
“Good, I always wanted to tell them but I took what you said about not telling anyone too seriously, I figure.”
“I think I'm to blame. I should have let you build a circle of trust like I did. Maybe we could have avoided this situation.”
“Let's not think about that. Eri also knows. She found out on her own.”
“So she's getting your smarts, I see.”
“That's what she claims. I guess you are also wondering why I chose your last name.”
“I was, actually.”
“Inko didn't believe her own son was innocent. She told me she should have abandoned me like everyone told her to. But you are one of the only father figures I ever had who believed in me. Plus, it seemed like a good way to hide my true identity.”
“Yes, it was. Nedzu didn't even know that was your last name now, and when we asked the townspeople about you, we had to use your first name.”
“Changing topics, I hear Uraraka is working for you now.”
“Yeah, she said when we find you and you come back that she'll be able to see you every day since it's technically your agency.”
“Really? I thought you were joking when you said that.”
“Nope, like I said when you get your hero license it'll become yours.”
“Thanks, Toshi, but I still have to think if I want to come back.” When he said this, I realize that he isn't that little boy anymore, he is his own man now.
“I know Izuku, but it'll always be there for you.” For the rest of the trip, we catch up on each other's lives. I tell him about Gran threatening me that if I don't find him, he'll put me back through his training. We both shudder thinking about it. And he tells me about Eri and how much she has grown. It's really sweet seeing how much he loves her. We finally get back to the house, and he starts cooking dinner.
Eri comes up to me while I'm sitting on the couch. “Toshinori, Dad told me to come heal your injury.”
“I'm fine,” I start, but she cuts me off.
“Nope, Dad said do it even if you don't want it done.” She touches my injury and starts rewinding it. After a minute, I feel better than I have in years and lift up my shirt to reveal my injury is no longer there. I hug her, and she just says you're welcome before walking back to the kitchen.
**Izuku's POV**
I walk into the room Aizawa is using. “I figured we should talk.”
“Yeah, that would be good,” he says.
I sit on the office chair in the room. “I guess you want to know why I didn't tell you.”
“No, I can understand that. If I was in your situation, I would have been cautious of authority figures too. But I just want to hear about your life after you left.” I start telling him stories about my time after I left. “I'm glad you've been living a good life, Izuku.”
I stand up and go to the door. “I'll let you get some rest.” I shut the door behind me and make my way up to the roof to look at the stars. I come up here often so I keep a cooler with a few beers in it. I crack one open and look over the horizon.
I hear something land on the roof behind me. “Hey Izu, mind if I join you,” Uraraka asks.
“Go ahead, would you like a beer?”
“Sure.” I hand her one, and we just sit there.
“I used to dream about this.”
“About what?”
“You finding me up here one night out of nowhere, and we just talk. Like we used to.”
“I miss our talks too.”
“That's why I started watching the stars. Because I know how much you love them. So I always looked at them hoping you would be watching them at the same time. Sometimes I would imagine that you were next to me.”
“I've had that dream too. Where I'm just doing some paperwork and you'd come up behind me and point out something I need to fix.” I put my arm around and pull her into a hug, which she hugs back. “Why didn't you tell me you were leaving? I would have gone with you.”
“Truth be told, I was in a bad mental state back then, probably still am, but I've done things differently. I honestly wrote you so many letters over the years but never had the courage to send them.”
“Izu, I have something to tell you.”
“Yeah, Uraraka?” I ask, expecting the worst.
“To be honest, I'm in love with you. I was back in UA and now, even though it's been one day, I love you even more. It feels like you never left my side.”
“Uraraka, I'll be honest. I always held out hope you felt that way. So, it doesn't feel real right now.” She leans in and kisses me.
“Does that feel real?”
I blush slightly but nod. “Yeah, Uraraka.”
“Call me Ochaco or a nickname.”
“Ok, Ocha. Yeah, it felt real.” I lean in and kiss her back. She blushes slightly.
We both lean back and look at the stars while just talking about anything. We talk about some of the dumbest stuff and catch up with each other. It almost feels like I never left and we've been together for all those years. Our hands interlocked.
The next morning on our run, I decide to ask Eri her opinion on moving back.
“I honestly don't know. I mean, Dad, what would make you happy?”
“As long as you're happy.”
“Nope, think about you for once.”
“I always wanted to be with Ocha, and now that might be possible. Plus, it'll be better for you since you'd have to move to attend a hero school anyway.”
“Then I say let's do it. You know how I feel about Uraraka.”
“Yeah, yeah, fan girl.”
“Hey, I get my obsession with heroes from you. And don't act like you don't have all her merchandise too.”
“You know Ocha is going to see your room at some point when we move,” I say, and she blushes a bit, reminding me of me when Toshi first saw my room.
“Hey, don't feel bad, at least she's only been a pro for two years officially so there's not as much as there was when Toshi saw my room.”
“True that.”
**Uraraka's POV**
Izu gathers us all in the living room that afternoon. “So after a lot of thought, I decided I will come back with y'all.” I squeal and hug him. “I know it might be hard sometimes, but after comparing the pros and cons, it would be best to go with y'all.” We all are happy Izu and Eri both decided to come home with us. We start helping them pack, but for some reason, they refuse to let me in his office and her bedroom. I finally get into Eri’s room and see almost every piece of merch I have in her room. I turn to Toshinori.
“Is this how you felt when you first saw Izu’s room?”
“Yup,” he says, popping the 'p'. Then I realize something and run to Izu’s office. He tries to stop me, but I get past him. In his office, it has all his All Might stuff, but it also has all my Merchandise.
“Izu, you really are a big dork.” He blushes. “You're lucky you're a cute dork,” I say, kissing him.
“Oh, you want to go there. You remember how we both gave each other our first autographs. Of course, you do. I heard from Aizawa you have it framed on your desk.” I feel myself blush.
“Aizawa, you traitor,” I say, turning to Aizawa, who simply walks out of the room.
“Dad, you can't say much, you have hers on your bedside table,” Eri says.
“Eri, you traitor.” She simply laughs while walking out.
After that, the week went by pretty normally. Izu and I would go to the roof every night and stargaze. He told everyone in town that he was leaving; they understood why and even gave him and Eri a going-away gift. During Eri's birthday, she gets some of my merchandise from Izu. Star and Stripes sent some of hers. While David and Melissa sent her a new camera. I manage to get her some candy apples while Aizawa and Toshinori got her some merchandise from the big 3.
The next day Aizawa and Toshinori took the moving truck while me, Izu, and Eri piled up in his truck and took off to Tokyo.
Notes:
I thought I should start the relationship early because it made more sense that way. Because those feelings they had at UA were still there and if anything they were stronger. Next chapter Izuku finally sees some old classmates. And more Izuocha moments.
Chapter 3: Heroes return
Summary:
Izuku returns to Tokyo and meets with some familiar people. And he reveals the second reason he returned so easily

Chapter Text
Izuku POV
As I'm driving, I start seeing things I haven't seen in years and can't help but feel nervous. But I have more than one reason to go back besides Ochako.
“Dad, are we going to do the plan we discussed before?”
“Yeah.”
“What plan?” Ochako asks.
“You'll see soon enough. Let's just say it's time for heroes to return,” I smile.
“You know something about that smile scares me.”
When we finally get to Tokyo, Ochako takes us to her place.
“Are you sure it's okay for us to stay if you?”
“Yes, Izu, besides, I have more than enough room. I don't think All Might realized how much room this house actually has. Besides, it'll be less lonely with you two here.”
“Ochako, you sure have a lot of pictures of Dad up,” Eri asks, and Ochako turns red and starts floating. I quickly use Black Whip to hold her like a balloon.
“Eri, you just love to make her feel embarrassed.”
“Would you rather me tell her about saying her name in your sleep?” I turn red and Float activates, and she starts laughing hard.
Aizawa and All Might walk in and see what's happening and just shake their heads. After that, we get settled in and start unpacking. We didn't bring a lot of stuff with us since she had furniture. We mainly just brought our valuables and collectibles. It's kind of funny watching Eri ask Ochako for her autograph on every poster and box. After I finish, I decide to step out to make a few phone calls.
“Hey, Iida, it's Izuku. I was wondering if we could talk.” He answers. “Yeah, I'm back, and I have a plan that I'll need your help with.”
“Okay, see you tomorrow.”
I dial the next number. “Hey, Ragdoll, it's Izuku.”
“Midoriya.”
“It's actually Yagi now, but I was wondering if I could tell you I could get your quirk back, would you take it?”
“Yes, of course.”
“Then how about we meet up tomorrow around two.”
“Sounds good. I'll bring everyone; I'm sure they'll be happy to see you.”
I dial my last number for the day. “Hey, Mirio, it's Izuku.”
“You're back.”
“Yeah, now are you free right now?”
“Yeah, why?”
“I'm going to send you an address, come to it and bring the other two.”
“Okay, but why?”
“Lemillion is coming back.” I hang up before he says anything else and go in. “Eri, Mirio is on his way, so get ready to give him his quirk back.”
“Okay, Dad.”
“And All Might, in a few days, we're going to need a press conference. I'll explain why in a little bit. And Aizawa, are you still in contact with Shinso?”
“Of course, even though he chose to work alone, I still talk to him.”
“Good, give him a call and tell him to meet me at Might Tower in two days.”
“Alright.”
About an hour later, Mirio, Tamaki, and Nejire show up. After quite a few hugs and answering questions, Eri rewinds Mirio's quirk factor. It was part of our training to rewind only a certain part of something. All she has to do is focus on what she wants to rewind, and she can.
“So, Mirio, I have a plan and need your guys' help.”
“What is it, Izuku?” Mirio asks.
“I technically own Might Industry now, and I want to bring back how heroes used to be when we were growing up. Not how they are now. To do that, I want to put together one agency where some of the best pros can always be connected. Where if they need help on a case, they have access to the help they need. Or the latest tech and suits.”
“So you want to unite pros who we know we can trust.”
“Basically, yes.”
“We're in.” After a little bit more small talk, they leave along with All Might and Aizawa. We decide just to order takeout tonight instead of cooking. It's been so long since I've had takeout that I almost forgot what it tastes like.
Later that night, Ochako and I sit on the roof. “Hey, Izu, have you thought about what you're going to say when you see some of our old classmates?”
“Not really, but I'm not going to hold back like the old me would.”
“Yeah, I have to admit you have changed since I last saw you. In a good way. Like the old you was too forgiving, now you know when not to.”
“What can I say? Prison can change people.”
“Yeah.”
“By the way, how would you feel about being the person in charge of the rescue branch?”
“I would love that.”
“Good, because I need someone I can trust with my life in charge of it.”
After that, we go back to watching the stars and making small talk, then went to bed.
The next morning, after mine and Eri's morning run, we both get dressed in casual formal clothes and get ready to go to the Iida residence. Once we arrive, we're led in by Iida senior.
“Izuku, it's so good to see you again.”
“You too, Tensei. Now let's talk.” We sit down on the couch. “I hear you and your brother had a public falling out last year.”
“Yeah, that's correct.”
“If I remember correctly, it was because you felt like he was being too rough on villains.”
“Yes, because he was. The injuries he would give them were life-altering. Some of the criminals weren't even that bad.”
“And you felt like he was disrespecting the Ingenium name. So he said you could have it back and changed his name.”
“Yes, that's correct.”
“How would you feel about being a hero again and bringing respect back to the Ingenium name?”
“I would love that, but how?”
“Eri here can rewind any living thing, meaning she can bring you back the use of your legs.”
“Really?”
“Yes, we'll rewind you regardless, but I have a plan and I need your help.” I explain my plan to him.
“I'm in.”
“Good, Eri, go ahead and rewind his legs.”
“Okay, Dad.” She walks up to him, touches his legs, and starts rewinding him. “Okay, done, can you try to stand up?” Tensei nods and starts standing.
“I did it!”
“Good, now can you walk around for us so we can see if I rewound you far enough?”
“Okay.” He starts walking like he never lost the use of his legs. He runs to both of us and scoops us up into a hug. “Thank you so much.”
“It's no problem, really. I'm going to put you in contact with Melissa Shields, who will design your new hero suit before your new introduction during the press conference in two days.”
“Sounds good.” After a bit of small talk, Eri and I leave for our next meeting. We drive to a park and waita few minutes before we see the Wild Wild Pussycats show up with Koda. We quickly get out of our truck and walk over to them. We catch up a little, and I explain my plan. They quickly agree, and I have Eri rewind Ragdoll’s quirk factor.
Eri and Kota get along okay but not the best. I can tell some of his antics annoy her. She definitely likes Katsuma more. That reminds me; I need to give them a call and offer their dad a job since their dad is a pretty good quirk analyst. I remember when I went to Nabu Island to help clean up a hurricane since they didn't have any heroes. Eri first met Mahoro, and their friendship grew from there. I'll admit we haven't been able to get together as much as I would like, but yeah. I'll have David pick them up on his way since Mahoro is going to a hero school next year. So it'll be easier for them anyway.
The next two days go by pretty quickly. We have to start getting things ready for the press conference. I did get to see Miss Joke again, and she was doing great actually. She teased me and Uraraka. Then David and Melissa show up and decide to start working on their new lab after they gave the heroes I hired their new suits. With their nanotech, it isn't that hard, just had to get their size and stuff. While the Shimanos get settled. I'm now currently sitting on top of Might Tower the night before the press conference.
“Hey, Izu,” Ochako says sitting down beside me. “So tomorrow everyone will find out you're back.”
I hand her a beer. “Yeah, tomorrow is the day.”
“You ready for it?”
“As ready as anyone can be considering all my friends betrayed me.”
“Yeah, I guess no one can really be ready for this.”
I pull her closer to me. “At least I have the people most important to me.”
“Yeah.” She leans into me. “By the way, Toshi told me to tell you that Gran is coming tomorrow.”
“Welp, I'm leaving again.”
“Oh no, you're not. He's an old man, he's not that bad.”
“Oh really? You haven't been through that old man's training.” I shiver a little, and she starts laughing at me, and I can't help but join in.
“So Eri and Katsuma definitely like each other, right?”
“Oh, definitely, it's so fun to tease them about it. It kinda reminds me of us when we were starting out.”
“So we're going to have to wait nearly six years for one of them to confess.”
“They've known each other for two years now, so four more to go.” We both start laughing.
“You know what this means.”
“We can get revenge on her for teasing us.”
“Yep.”
After that, we keep making small talk until we decide to get some sleep. We fly back to our house.
“Izuku, it's time; are you ready?”
“Yeah, Toshi, I'm ready.” We walk up on the stage where some already are.
“I'd like to thank you all for coming. Today is a day I wish came long ago but that'll be discussed in a bit. But today I'd like to introduce you all to my successor, Yagi Izuku.”
I walk up to the podium. “Thank you all for coming; like All Might said, this should have happened a long time ago. But over five years ago, I was framed as the traitor of UA and locked in Tartarus. For two months until I was proven innocent. Only a select few believed I was innocent, and that's everyone on this stage plus a few more. So I left and was in hiding, but I can't hide anymore. The world is changing. And the heroes we have now are nothing compared to the ones we all grew up with. So my goal is to bring back the great heroes. We will be united. Let me introduce you to some.”
I motion for the Pussycats to come up. “As all you know, Ragdoll lost her quirk five years ago, but she has regained it. I'm not going to reveal how to protect the person. But know it isn't a villain.” I give Ragdoll a moment to speak before I go back up.
“And to lead in the rescue department, we have Uravity. I know she is young, but I wouldn't have anyone else to lead it. And we now have a support department led by Melissa and David Shields to give our heroes the best tech we can. We now also have an analyst department led by Luke Shimano. I always believed that having an analyst would be a great help to heroes so I even studied it my whole life. We also have a new underground department led by Mind Freak. Finally, for introductions, we have a great hero. Sadly, he was injured five years ago, but thanks to the same person as Ragdoll, he can become a hero again. Reintroducing Iida Tensei Ingenium.”
He runs up on stage, and I let him say a few words. “Now, this isn't everyone, a full list of heroes will be released on the Might website. Now my hero name is Naoki because I'll bring hope with honesty and integrity. And to borrow from All Might, I want the world to know. WE ARE HERE.”
Notes:
I bet you thought I meant Tenya when I said Iida. But no I meant Tensei. And the Shimanos' are back. I should explain Izuku decided to go help with clean up after a hurricane and that's how we met them. Nine didn't attack in this timeline and class 1a didn't go to Nabu Island. Also here's a list of people who believed Izuku was innocent.
Uraraka, Eri, All Might, Aizawa, Shinso, big three, Miss Joke, the pussycats, Tenssi, and a few more but those are the important ones

Chapter Text
**Katsuki's POV 3rd**
Katsuki was pissed. "How dare that damn Deku come back. I should have killed him that night; it would have made things so much easier for me. I should have killed that little bitch Round Face when she would defend him even when he was in prison. My plan to get rid of him should have worked. They promised me he would die in prison. But no, he was proven innocent and then shitty hair and raccoon eyes found out about my past. They had to go digging, didn't they? But no, Deku ruined his life even when he disappeared. I should have been top of the class all three years but no, Round Face was. She even won the second and third year sports festival." He's going to get them.
**Shoto's POV 3rd**
Shoto didn't know what to think. On one hand, his friend was back, and he looked better than that night. On the other hand, he still remembers that he betrayed him. That he hurt the first person to ever see him for him. After he was proven innocent, Natsu stopped talking to him because he said Shoto was acting like their dad. His sister is downright avoiding him like the plague. She thought that maybe Endeavor could change, but seeing her brother end up like him changed her mind. She couldn't be a part of it anymore.
**Kirishima and Mina's POV 3rd**
Kirishima and Mina felt relief when Izuku came up on that stage. But he was different. He still had the same kind eyes but the way he carried himself was more confident. The way he spoke reminded Kirishima of Crimson Riot. Mina saw the way he and Uravity looked at each other and was glad they finally found each other. Even though neither of them took part in the night, they still felt guilty about not stopping it.
**Tenya's POV: 3rd**
Tenya was running through the city to find a villain to take his anger out on. This couldn't be happening. Midoriya was supposed to be someone only in my past. But now he's back. "The old me would be glad for multiple reasons. His brother is a hero again. Midoriya was back and a hero. But no, he was pissed. His brother never looked at him the same after the incident. I'll admit that I jumped to conclusions after finding out but that is no excuse. I at least thought Ochaco would take my side. I mean I'm way better than Midoriya. I'm smart, stronger, and better looking. But no, she looked at me with disgust." He finds a villain and starts beating him up aiming kicks at parts he knows will hurt the most.
**Tensei POV:**
When I first met Izuku, my first thought was that this boy is a walking anxiety disorder. But then I got to know him. He was one of the most kind and intelligent kids I ever met. Sure his quirk control was bad but it wasn't the worst. I remember how my brother used to talk about him before my accident. He said he was an incredible hero who saved a girl even though he broke his bones. Then he saved Tenya from the hero killer. Sure they had a cover story but I know the truth. That's when I realized he was going to be a great hero.
Then I get told he was suspected of being a traitor of UA. My first thought was to go to my brother to comfort him but he didn't need it. He actually believed Izuku could do something like this. I was honestly mad at him. I decided to look into Izuku's past to try to prove he was innocent. What I found explained his behavior. He was quirkless till he was 14 and on his quirk record it said it was because his quirk was too powerful for his body. It was also signed off by Yagi Toshinori. Not many people knew at the time that was his real name but I did.
Then when he was released I was trying to get in contact with him but he left before I could. It honestly broke Tenya but I honestly couldn't care. It was his own fault for doubting his friend. When he called me I was so happy and excited he wanted to see me even after what my brother did.
After five years of wondering what happened to him he came back and gave me a chance to be a hero again. He is even getting me training with someone name Gran Torino to get me back in fighting shape but today he called everyone in the Might Agency.
**Emi POV:**
I have met Izuku twice before the incident. The first time was during the Provisional license exam and there was much interaction. The second time was when he was in some random Agency after Night Eye died and he was just floating around between them. There I learned he was a great hero. There was a fire and he just ran in there looking for anyone and he found a kid and they were crying a lot but after he knew everyone was safe he just sat there with them to calm them down.
But then the incident happened and I didn't know what to think but Shota was so sure he was positive he was innocent and I knew at that moment he was. It wasn't everyday Shota was so attached to a kid. But the way he acted for this one was different. That's when I know for a fact that he was innocent. When he was released I remember Shots trying to meet him but he only allowed Eri to see him where he could say goodbye to her. Then they both left.
Now they're back and they have one of the cutest dynamics ever. The way he cares for her is so gentle like the kid I met before but the speech he gave showed a new side of him. The brave kind he used to lack that I honestly feared he wouldn't have. I know I wouldn't be able after all that shit. But now we're all in a conference room for a meeting.
**Izuku's POV:**
As I'm waiting for everyone to arrive, Ocha pulls me to the side. “Are you sure this is a good idea?”
“Yeah these are the people we're trusting with our life's they deserve the truth.:
“Ok Izu.” After that we make pointless small talk. Finally the last person arrived and I take the seat at the front of the large table.
“You all must be wondering why I'm calling this meeting.” There are a few nods and say yeah. “It's the truth about my quirk. I was quirkless for the first fourteen years of my life but it was just my body wasn't ready for it. Is what the public is going to find out. We're going to be posting a video saying that on my personal social media as well as the Might Agency's. But the truth is more complicated.” I tell them the tale of the two brothers and how All Might found me and trained me. “Any questions.”
“Why are you telling us this?” Shinso asks.
“The people in this room are going to be my most trusted allies plus the public is about to find out about the story we tell everyone.”
“Why are you telling the public?” Mirio asks.
“Because if I don't, someone will and I rather they hear it from me.”
“That makes sense.”
“All right, the rest of this meeting is just to go over basic stuff.”
“Alright robot dude with me.” Gran says after the meeting.
“Ok sir.” Tensei says.
“I wish you luck.” I say.
“Don't worry it can't be that bad, he's an old man.” Gran kicks him and tells him to start running. Toshi and I both felt a chill go down our spine.
I go on my first patrol after saying my prayers for Tensei. I get quite a few arrests and a few saves in the first two hours. Not as many for the rest of the day. I finally go home and take a shower before Ocha gets back with Eri. And we all sit down to a dinner we all helped cook.
“Hey Eri, how was your day?”
“It was good, dad.”
“Is there anything I should worry about?”
“Nope.”
“Eri.”
“I did nothing you wouldn't do.”
“Alright, I'll drop it for now. Are you happy to see Katsuma again?”
She blushes. “Yeah, I've missed him a lot.”
“I could even tell that by the way you tackled him into a hug.” Ocha says, making Eri blush harder. After a while, we all get ready for bed, and I prepare to have the dream that I have every night. One that used to scare me, but now it's just a fact of life. A nightmare about the night that changed everything.
**3rd person POV:**
Izuku got asked by Iida to meet him and Todoroki on ground beta after dinner. He wasn't really thinking anything of it since Iida and Todoroki normally talked about stuff for their quirks. It was only more validated when he heard they got permission from Nedzu to train their quirks.
When he got there, the first thing he remembers is a blinding light and a familiar boom hitting him in the back, sending him flying, only to be caught by something sticky. He realized that it was Mineta's balls. He tried to ask what's going on, only to be zapped by Denki and sent flying with a kick from Tenya, and taped to go around his face when he lands, only to feel an explosion hit his chest and his body encased in ice. He could finally see and saw everyone from class except Ochako, Asui, Mina, and Kirishima.
He tried to move only to be in pain. Nedzu walks up and says good job to the class. Finally, Ochaco shows up trying to figure out what's going on, only to be stopped by some police officers. All Might and Aizawa came running only for the same to happen to them. They put cuffs on his hands and start taking him away. Ochaco tries to stop them only to be held back by Asui. All Might and Aizawa say cooperate and they'll get him out of there. The last thing he sees is the psychopathic smile on Katsuki's face and that's when he knew this was his doing.
Notes:
Yeah this chapter took me too long to write. But yeah that's how some reacted to him returning. And yes I'm setting Bakugo up for something big. But I don't won't t reveal to much. Next time the return of some more familiar face.
Chapter 5: Confirmation
Summary:
Izuku continues on his plans and get confirmation of something. And fights happen.

Chapter Text
**Izuku's POV**
I wake up in a cold sweat as usual and walk to the bathroom connected to my room. I splash some cold water on my face and glance at the mirror. “It was just a dream. It won't happen again,” I say to myself, knowing it's true, but my stomach can't help but turn. I've had these nightmares for years, yet I can't shake this feeling of being unsafe. In the nightmare, unlike in real life, Ochaco turned on me. I hate it. It's only getting worse since she came back into my life. I splash water on my face once more, washing away these thoughts, and prepare for my run.
About an hour later, Eri joins me for our run. “Dad, I have a question.”
“Sure, sweet pea, what is it?”
“Why do you still want to be a hero?” she asks, looking down.
“Do you remember how you felt when you were with Overhaul?” She tenses up and nods.
“Exactly. I want more people to be able to feel that way.”
“Dad, you know I love you, right?”
“Of course, Eri, and I love you too. Now, mind telling me what this is about?”
“I don't want to see you get hurt again.” Tears start to form in her eyes. “I hated seeing you so broken. The smile that saved me was gone, and I felt like I just got it back.” She is now full-on sobbing. “I don't want to lose you again.”
I pull her into a tight embrace. “Eri, I'm so sorry for not realizing you felt this way. I promise you I won't ever leave you like that again.” She hugs back, her tears subsiding. “You know I will always be here for you, no matter what you need.”
“You promise?”
“If I break it, you get my Uravity autograph,” I joke, getting her to laugh. I pick her up as I used to and start walking back to the house. After we get back and clean up, we have breakfast with Ochaco.
When we get to Might Tower, I prepare to fly to Kamino Ward since I received a tip that someone I'm looking for is there. I activate Float and Fa Jin, rocketing off with a boom, and arrive there in a matter of minutes. I land near an abandoned bar and walk in.
“How did you find me?” Toya asks.
“Easy, Toya, you normally spend time around bars, but since you're one of the most wanted men alive, you have to go to abandoned ones.”
“I always forget how smart you are. So, you came to fight.”
“Oh, I think we both know I would win, and we wouldn't want this place destroyed like the last one, now would we?”
“Ha what would that be.”
"Let me capture you. I know your goal is to kill Shoto but if you did that he would be another Martyr like your father was.”
“You know your right but why should I turn myself in to you.”
I take my helmet off. “Think about it who did your father hate more than anyone.”
“All Might and your his successes so it would show Shoto that your better then him and one last fuck you to Dad.”
“Exactly now do me and favor we need to make there look like there was fight so shoot some fire at me.” He nods and shoots flames at me.
“That's good now I have to hit you at least once.”
“Okay, go for it.” I hit him with one percent of my power, and he falls to the ground. “Jesus, that hurt.”
“Oh, that was only one percent.”
“I feel bad for other villains.” I put him in Black Whip and walk out, making my way to the station, making sure reporters and others see me. When I finally get flying again, I get Melissa to read the reports that are already coming out.
“You're blowing up all over social media and the news. They are asking how could you catch him so fast when Shoto couldn't do it. They are praising you for no property damage while whenever he gets in a fight with anyone else, there's hundreds of thousands.”
“Good, now what time is my meeting with Nedzu?”
“Noon.”
“Any other news I should know about, M.?”
“Someone put googly eyes on all the Dynamite posters.”
“Thanks, M., now call Eri for me.”
“Hey, dad, what's up?”
“Is Katsuma and Mahoro with you?”
“Yeah, I'll put it on speaker.”
“Hey, Izu.” They both say.
“Would you mind telling me why someone put googly eyes on all the Dynamite posters?”
“We don't know what you're talking about.” They all say.
“Oh, I'm not mad. I never told you that I did that to Endeavor posters.”
“Really?” Mahoro asks.
“Yeah, I still carry a few with me just in case I want to do it again.”
“See, I told you he wouldn't be mad,” Eri says.
“I guess you're right, E-chan,” Katsuma said.
“I'll talk to you three later.”
“Bye, dad, I love you.”
“Love you too, little bean.”
**Nedzu POV**
As I'm getting ready for my meeting with Izuku I can't help but be nervous. I know how strong he is since he has ofa. All Might could level multiple buildings with one punch and since it's even stronger now I can't imagine how strong. But I'm more worried about his brain. There is a reason why it took so long to find him. He covered his steps well. Not having an official hero name. Moving to a town that few actually know where it is. Changing his later name that I didn't even know until recently. So I know he is smart enough to figure out the reason I let them betray him.
Before I could think anymore, he knocks on my door, and it opens.
“Hello, Nedzu. You seem to be doing well.”
“Yes, I hope you have as well.”
He doesn't answer me and sits down, taking a cup of tea I prepared. “So, what did you want to talk about, Nedzu?”
“I wish to offer you a position at UA as a teacher.”
“Where you can keep an eye on me, I assume.” Crap, he saw straight through me. “No thanks, for multiple reasons. One, you turned on me when you knew I was innocent. You needed a scapegoat since the board was getting on your back to find the traitor. Two, the evidence was easily proven false. Three, you think you can control me. Let me tell you that I'm much smarter than you imagine. I was holding back because of my past, because I was scared that people would beat me again. But I came across something you probably don't want out.” He has a grin that I know quite well. It's the same one I use.
“What would that be?”
“Arkansas, eleven years ago, with the former commission president.”
My eyes go wide. “That's enough.”
“Good. So here's what's gonna happen since you failed to adhere to regulations at the time. You're going to give me any information on cases I'm working on. You're going to come out and apologize for what you did to me. Finally, you're going to tell me who gave you that information. I have an idea but need to be sure.”
“Ok, I'll do it. I'll make an official statement at a press conference that we already had to schedule due to yours. And for the person who gave me the information was Bakugou Katsuki.”
“Thank you for your cooperation,” he says as he stands up. “I'll be in contact.” Then he leaves. I quickly call Rena.
**Katsuki POV**
I'm trying to figure out a way to completely ruin Deku when I get the news he caught Dadi. He's been back for two days and already caught number 3 on the most wanted list. Fuck this is going to need harder then I thought. I thought about revealing that he was quirkless but the fucking freak released a statement announcing it. And people are actually discussing it positively. What the fuck.
I need to think logically. I can't go after him or anyone close to him because that would be enough for him to get me arrested. So Round face and the unicorn bitch is out. As well as anyone connected to Might Tower.
My phone rings.
“Dynamite speaking.”
“Yes, this is the president of the hero commission Junta. I'm calling to tell you that your current insurance is being cut due to your damage being so high. It will now only cover two fifty thousand a month.”
“But I have ten times more damage than that!”
“Yes but we have been discussing this for awhile and now that Naoki showed it could be done with little to no damage it proved us right.”
“FUCK!” I throw my phone across the room destroying it. That fucking Deku is ruining everything. What should I do? He has the commission wrapped around his finger but they've been pussy since what they did to bird fuck was exposed and they got that new president. And I bet he already had a meeting with the rat so he's no use. The others are all out for many reasons. GOD FUCKING DANMIT. I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS SHIT.
I blast off and head towards Might Tower, where I see Deku talking to Sonic, and I blast him. I hear shocked gasps from the crowd. When the smoke clears, there he stands, unmoved.
“Katsuki, I'm giving you a chance to stand down before I make you,” Deku says confidently.
I see the unicorn bitch and grab her, pointing a hand to her head. “I'm going to kill her, Deku. Then I'm going to kill that ugly bitch Round Face.”
“Bad idea, Katsuki.” Before I can do anything, I'm on the ground with Deku standing on me.
“Bakugou Katsuki, you are under arrest for assault, attempted murder, and villainy.”
I try to stand, but I can't; it's like he's an immovable force. “I'LL KILL YOU ALL! EVEN IF YOU LOCK ME UP, I'LL GET OUT!”
“And I'll stop you again, Katsuki.”
Quirk-canceling cuffs are put on me, and I'm taken away. Why wasn't I smarter? The anger pushed me over the edge again. But I'll get out. After all, I have a secret weapon.
**Izuku's POV**
I hug Eri tightly, both of us crying slightly. I don't care who sees us. “Bug, you okay?”
“Yeah, Dad, I'm just shaken up. But I wasn't worried after all; you're my dad.”
“That's my brave little girl.”
I stand up, picking her up, and turn to the cameras and reporters on sight. “Listen well, everyone. What you just saw was a corrupt hero. There are many of them, and I promise to stop them. On the Might Tower website is a form to report corrupt heroes. And I promise we will do our best to find evidence to convict them.” I shoot off into the sky and land on the roof of Might Tower.
My plan to get revenge on Katsuki is going quicker than I thought it would. He let his anger bubble over. But I have a sinking feeling that this won't be the last of him.
Notes:
So this actually took me shorter to write then expected but it's the longest chapter so far. So yeah Izuku beat Bakugo in the matter of seconds. Because let's be honest if he didn't need to hold back he would won every fight they ever had in the matter of seconds.
Toya is smarter then people give him credit for and yeah Endeavor is dead.
This chapter had a lot of emotions in it because I didn't like how easily Eri agreed to come back. So I added more emotions for her in this. I'm actually really happy how this chapter turned out. Next chapter won't ne as heavy on emotions. Will get more cure Eri moments. And do you like how many nicknames Izuku has for her. If you have any suggestions tell me in the comments.

Chapter Text
Eri's POV
“E-chan!” Katsuma yells as he hugs me when I arrive at Might Tower for the day. “Are you OK? When I saw what happened on the news, I was so worried.”
I hug him back, blushing slightly. “I'm fine, Kit-Kat. My dad was there.”
“Yeah, I guess you're right. Mr. Izu wouldn't let anyone hurt you.”
“Yeah.”
“E, I'm glad you're ok." Mahoro says.
“Thanks, M.” I pull her into the hug. “I have the best friends.”
After we get all the hugs out of our systems, we make our way to the training room. Since we all want to be heroes, we have been getting training from some pros. Today we'll be focusing on hand to hand combat and quirk control. While Mahoro's quirk used to only project images, she can now make them solid or pick things up. She still thanks my dad for everything she can, even though it was both of our dads who figured it out. Katsuma's and my quirks are pretty similar. While he can speed up cell growth to heal injuries, I can rewind any living thing, but both were hard to control at first. But now we're almost masters, thanks to training. While I got it from my dad, he got it from his.
After training with Tensei in hand-to-hand combat and quirk control, and with guidance from Anan (Thirteen), we get to go out and hang out on our own for a little bit. We decided to go to the mall first. While we're eating in the food court, Katsuma asks me something.
“Hey E-Chan, did Mr. Izu tell you anything about his meeting with Principal Nedzu?”
“No, he just said that it was taken care of.”
“Knowing how scary Izu can get, that's never good." Mahoro said.
“Plus, my dad said this is all a part of his plan.”
“I guess that makes sense, but I don't know, I have a bad feeling about it." Katsuma says.
“Dad is a super genius, practically a super genius. If he has a plan, it'll work out. If it doesn't, he has a plan B.”
“What would that be?” They both ask suspiciously.
“Exposing everything everyone who has ever crossed him has ever done. He has some of the world's smartest people on his side, and my bet is he'll be number one in six months.” I pull out my phone and show them a thread on a hero.net of people discussing my dad and all the good he has done in under three days since he made his public announcement. Then the article about yesterday.
“Yesterday's events shocked everyone. We all know how Dynamite (Bakugou Katsuki) temper can get. In the two years he has been a pro, it only got worse. And since the hero Naoki (Yagi Izuku) made his debut earlier this week, it only got worse. With some digging, it was found that they grew up with each other. And Naoki revealing he grew up quirkless brings up some questions. Was Dynamite a bully to him? Think about a quirkless kid and a kid with a powerful quirk in the same class, it would make sense. And yesterday, Dynamite's anger finally boiled over. When he grabbed Naoki’s daughter and threatened to kill her, only to be taken down before anyone could blink. We all know Dynamite's fights normally lead to millions in damage. This one ended with only a slight crack in the sidewalk where Naoki took off to take him down. In total, in the time of his career, Dynamite has caused twenty-five million dollars in damage. Now that UA is holding a press conference today, we'll make a report on new information that comes to light. But for now, I leave you with this question: is Naoki the next All Might? I think so.”
“Dang, that came out fast." Mahoro says.
“Yeah, and there's tons more saying similar stuff.” I put my phone back in my pocket. “My guess is pretty sure the whole world will know the name Naoki.”
We throw away our trash and make our way back to the tower after looking in some stores. I get a good laugh watching all the Dynamite stuff in the trash. When I get back, I get started on some online school. I'm technically in my last semester of junior high. So after this, I'll still be learning stuff but waiting to go to high school with Katsuma. So I'll have two years off from school. While we're working, I turn on the news to watch the UA press conference.
Izuku's POV
As I stand in the crowd in front of the stage at UA, the staff at UA is arriving. I already knew most of the teachers were retired now, but I couldn't honestly care. The only ones besides Aizawa and Toshinori who believed me were Anan, who is standing beside me, and Ochako. Even though she's retired from teaching and being a pro, she still agreed to come work for me, even if just as a secretary.
I remember her actually being really nice to me during my time at UA. She was one teacher that knew my quirk came in late because I honestly did trust her. She shared with me her past. How all her life people told her she was a villain because of her quirk and she would never be a hero. That's why she believed that I was innocent because she knew not to take things at face value.
No one really knew it, but we kinda built a mother-child type bond. She would always sneak me a piece of candy after every rescue class. When she could tell I was having a bad day, she would listen to me. Unlike Inko, she seemed like she cared. Inko always seemed to care more about Katsuki than me. When the sludge villain incident happened, she acted like she cared for five minutes, then spent two hours on the phone with him making sure he was ok. She would make excuses for his treatment of me. But Anan was always listening to me. And let's just say she was too happy to spoil Eri. When we got back and met up again, I think she gave her every piece of merchandise she has ever had. Her and All Might might be fighting for the favorite grandparent role.
“Thank you all for coming today. I'll get the thing on everyone's mind out of the way. Yes, five years ago Yagi Izuku was framed as the traitor of UA. I won't make excuses for my failure to look into the evidence that led to him being in Traturs. Because of my mistakes, we lost the opportunity to teach a great hero. Probably one of the smartest as well. I will now answer questions.” He waits a second and calls on someone.
“Yes, Taneo Tokuda here. I wrote the article about Dynamite that came out this morning, as well as one about Naoki when he was a student. My question is, why did you let Bakugou Katsuki in when he always showed signs of being an abuser?”
“It was a mistake on our part that we believed he could grow.”
"“At the cost of his victim?”
“When you state it like that without the whole context…”
“What are we missing then?” A short woman says.
“From what I understand, he was the one who gave you the false lead.” Tokuda says.
“While I didn't want to release the name of the person who gave us the false evidence, it was indeed Bakugou Katsuki, also known as Dynamite.”
“Why wasn't he punished for giving you the false evidence?” A tall woman says.
“We didn't want to lose another great hero.”
“But is he great? I mean, just look at yesterday, he attempted to attack Naoki and his daughter.” A muscular man says.
“Yes, but you can't deny the good he has done.”
“He has left civilians in a burning building to go fight a villain.” Another says.
“The only reason they didn't press charges is because they know you had his back, and Red Riot and Pinky managed to save them.” A petite woman says.
“I think this press conference is done." Nedzu says, walking off stage with the staff.
“I never thought I would see Nedzu be that stupid." Anan says.
“Yeah, it was fun watching him squirm like that." I say.
“Izu, what did you say to him yesterday?” Ocha asks.
“That if he didn't own up to his mistake, I would expose all his dirty laundry to the world.”
We start to make our way back to Might Tower. I'm starting to think of a plan, but I'll have to discuss it with a few people before I put anything into motion. But today I already made plans to go out to dinner with Eri since we could talk like we used to.
After we get back, I change into a green button-up shirt and a pair of dress pants with a watch. Eri is in a green dress, and we get in my truck and drive to a restaurant. After we order and get our food, we start talking.
“And Eri, I want to let you know that if you need anything, I'm here for you.”
“I know, Dad, that's why I want therapy. And I know you need it too, so I was wondering if we can go together.”
“Of course, Eri. I'm sorry for not realizing how hard it has been for you.”
“You're fine, Dad. I think I also picked up your bad habits. Which make sense since I've always looked up to you so I guess.” She starts mumbling, and I realize that's what I sound like.
“Eri, you're mumbling again.”
“Sorry.”
“You're fine, sweetie.”
As we're leaving the restaurant, she clings to me like she used to. “Dad, I love you.”
I ruffle her hair. “I love you too, unicorn.”
Uraraka's POV
I float to the roof of the house and join Izuku as he hands me a beer. “Izu, I was wondering on your next day off if we could go on a date.”
“Of course, how about we go to Amagi park like we planned before the incident?”
“That sounds amazing, I never went.”
“Really.”
“Yeah, I wanted to go with you.”
He pulls me beside him and wraps his arm around me. “You know I love you.”
After a while, we go inside and go to our rooms. I look in the mirror and smile. I have been smiling for real for the first time in years since I saw him again. I love him more than ever. I love his laugh. The way he interacts with Eri. His way he deals with villains. Hell, I even love his handwriting.
I go to sleep and dream about Izuku, Eri, and me being a family.”
Notes:
This chapter is not my proudest chapter but next chapter is Inko coming back. But yeah I thought Izuku needed a mother figure in his life that he can actually trust and who better then Anan. But sorry this chapter isn't the best
Chapter 7: Moms

Chapter Text
**Izuku's POV**
I walk into my office and start on paperwork from my last few patrols. Anan handles a lot of it for me, but some things I have to do myself. Since the commission is tightening the rules we have to follow for heroes, I think President Junta is doing a great job. He asked me for a meeting next week, which I agreed to since it could be a beneficial connection.
Eri is currently lying upside down on my office couch, engrossed in a book.
“You know it's probably not the best to read upside down.”
“Uh-huh.”
“What are you reading that has you so invested?”
“A pre-quirk series called Toradora. Anan said it's one of her favorites, so I asked to borrow volume one.”
“Is it good?”
“Oh, it's amazing. I started just an hour ago and I'm already halfway through.”
“That's good.”
“Uh-huh.” She says, getting back into the book.
I finish my paperwork and walk out of my office to Anan's desk. “You mind coming to the mall with me to pick out some flowers and a gift for Ochako?”
“Sure.” She stands up and goes to give Eri volume two before we leave. When we make it to the mall, we go to the flower store first.
“So what's her favorite color?”
“It's a light pink and dark green.”
“So I say we go with a light pink flower and something green for the gift.”
“Okay, but what kind?”
“Does she like roses?”
“No, she actually hates roses.”
“I didn't know that.”
“Yeah, apparently she was smelling one once and a bee stung her right next to the eye.”
“Ow.”
“Yeah.”
“I have it, how about pink flight lilies?” She points to some in a pot.
“That's perfect. She loves them.” We quickly get a bouquet of them and decide to grab something to eat before buying the gift. We order some burgers from the food court and sit down at a table. We make small talk until I hear a voice I never wanted to hear again.
“Izuku honey, is that you?” I look over and see Inko. Anan grabs my hand because she can sense my anxiety rising.
“Yes, Inko, it's me.”
“That's no way to talk to your mother, young man.”
“Oh, so I'm allowed to call you that now. I thought the last time I saw you, you told me that I'm no son of yours.”
“Well, yes, that was before I knew you were innocent.”
“I knew he was innocent, and I knew him for a few months at that point.” Anan says, holding back from yelling.
“Stay out of this, outsider. Izuku, you need to get Katsuki out of jail.”
“Inko, he attacked me and more importantly, my daughter. And do not talk to Anan like that.”
“The unicorn bitch isn't your daughter.”
“You do not talk about Eri like that. She is the most important person in my life. And you come in here asking to release someone who tried to kill her.”
“Katsuki doesn't know any better. He's going to be number one someday.”
“He is a twenty-one-year-old who had his hero license. If he doesn't know better, he shouldn't be a hero.” Anan says.
“Shut up, you anorexic bitch. Now, Izuku, you better listen to your mother. After all, I raised you.”
“That's the job of a parent.” I say.
“You don't know how hard it is.”
“He is one of the best fathers I've ever seen. He is caring, kind, brave, and the most self-sacrificing man I have ever known.”
“Yeah, but she's not his real daughter.” After she says this, I've had enough.
“Inko, I'm giving you one chance to walk away and stay away from my family before I ruin your life.”
“What could you possibly have on me?”
“You're talking to someone who made Nedzu scared. You think I can't dig up some dirt on you.”
“Fine, be like your father and leave.” She storms away. After that, we buy a dark green rabbit plush and start making our way back to Might Tower.
“Thanks for being there for me.”
“No problem, kid.” She rubs my hair. When we get back to the tower, I decide to go on one last patrol before I take off for the day. I go to my office first.
“Hey Eri, I'll be back in a little bit to take you home. Are you good until then?”
“Uh-huh.” She says, now almost through volume two. I just laugh and activate my suit, jumping out my window. As I'm flying overhead, looking for a crime, I see someone getting mugged. I quickly drop down in front of the victim.
“Crap, it's Naoki. Stay back.” He holds out a small knife.
“Oh no, it's a small knife, my only weakness.”
“Really?”
“No.” I shoot a black whip out at him, and the knife goes flying out of his hand. He summons another one. And I just whip it away again and quickly knock him out. I turn to the citizen. “Are you alright, sir?”
“Thank you so much, Naoki sir.”
“No problem, sir.”
“Can I get a selfie?”
“Sure.” I quickly take a selfie with him. “Make sure to use the #WeAreHere hashtag.”
“Of course, sir.” The police arrive, and we both make our statements before heading our separate ways. I stop two robberies, three attempted car thefts, and four assaults against a mutant quirk. And finally, I go back to the tower. Eri is still on my couch, now reading volume 3. Anan is packing up for the day and hands me and Eri both a piece of candy. She also hands Eri volume four and five.
I finish up my work and leave with Eri. When we get back to the house, Eri grabs a few slices of pizza and goes to her room to continue reading.
“She's really into that book.” Ochako says, grabbing a slice.
“Yeah, I think she's on volume four now.”
“When did she start?”
“Today.”
“Geez, and I thought you were a nerd.”
“Love you too.”
“I know.”
“You're lucky you're so beautiful.” I say, kissing her.
She wraps her arms around me. “You ready for our date tomorrow.”
“Of course, Ocha. We just need to stop by the agency first. I got another report of a corrupt hero who needs someone to take care of.”
“Who is it?”
“I'll give you one guess. And the hint is purple.”
“Mineta.”
“Yep.”
“So who are you thinking of sending after him?”
“Probably Aizawa since I don't want to send a female. Mirio is still getting used to his quirk again. Tensei could get caught easily with Mineta's quirk.”
“Yeah, that makes sense. How much evidence do you have against him?”
“Enough for him to get a long enough sentence where his balls will be gray the time he's out.”
“Geez, you know, that hotline is really helping.”
“Yeah, we have stopped quite a few corrupt heroes.”
“So on a happier note, I know your birthday is coming up, so do you have any plans?”
“The thing I have done since I left is eat a burned breakfast by Eri. Yes, I like it, so that's definitely happening. Then we bake a cake together which you'll be joining us this year. You're part of the family now.”
**Ochako's POV**
When he says those words, my heart skips a beat. I was scared to overstep my bounds. We keep making meaningless small talk for a little while longer before we decide to go to bed since tomorrow is our date.
I look in the mirror and smile. I decided to call my mom. “Hey, Mom, how are you guys?”
“We're doing great, how are you?”
“Perfect now that Izu-kun is back in my life.”
“Tell me all about it, sweetheart.”
So I tell her everything that has happened since he's been back.
“Night, Mom.”
“Night.”
I hear a knock on my door and open it to find Eri. “Umm, Ochako, can we talk?”
“Of course, Eri.” I let her into my room and shut the door. “What did you want to talk about?”
“So listen, this might be soon. It has only been about a month and a half since you have come back into our lives. But me and Dad both missed you.” She starts mumbling like Izuku.
“Eri, slow down, you're mumbling.”
“Sorry. So what I'm trying to say is, would you be okay with me thinking of you like a mother?”
I pull her into a hug. “Of course, sweetie.”
“Thank you, Mom.”
Notes:
I'm actually really happy with this chapter. I decided to focus it on mother figures. It was actually really fun to write the Inko scene. Because that's how people treat Bakugou in canon. Oh did he explode you. He doesn't know any better. And her saying she's not his real daughter is what pushed Izuku over the edge because he cares more about Eri then himself. Then Eri's talk with Ochako was so cute.
And yes that was an amazing spideman reference. The references in this was so fun. And the Toradora light novel is one of my favorites and it also as some focus on mothers the whole point of this chapter. And next chapter is the date.
Chapter 8: First date

Izuku and Ochako go on a date and One of Izuku's traits shows it's still there

Chapter Text
Izuku's POV:
When we arrive at Amagi Park, we take some pictures with Muffle first and then make our way to the first ride. “Let's start with the smallest and work our way up, but save the ferris wheel for last.”
“Sounds good to me, Izu.”
As we're on top of a roller coaster, I grab her hand. “You know, when I was younger, this probably would have scared me.”
“Same, but we can literally fly and face villains daily.” Then it drops down, and we both scream as it does five loops and comes to a stop. We both make our way to a trash can and throw up.
“We do not talk about this, especially to Eri.”
“Agreed. Just imagine how much fun she would have teasing us.”
Eri's POV:
“I feel like I'm missing something funny.”
“Did you say something, E-chan?”
“Probably nothing, Kit-Kat.”
Izuku's POV:
We sit down to eat something. “By the way, how are your parents doing?”
“Great! After I got a job with Might Tower, I was able to pay off the debts in three months and send them to Hawaii. They missed you too.”
“I never thought of that, but every time I met them, they were always really nice. I thought your dad would give me a 'shovel talk,' but instead, he just asked me to look out for you.”
“Yeah, my dad respects my choices and believes that I can make my own decisions.”
“That's a good dad right there. I know I'm going to treat whoever Eri brings home with respect.”
“Even though we both know that it'll be Katsuma.”
“Yep.”
“Speaking of Eri, last night she asked if she could call me mom.”
“That's great, Ocha. I was a little worried about how long it would take.”
“Yeah, I'm really happy about it.”
“I'm glad she has a woman in her life now. Especially after having to teach her how to use a tampon by myself.”
“You know you're a great dad, Izuku.”
“I try my best for her. No offense, she is the most important person in my life.”
“I understand. She was there when I wasn't, and you grew closer to her.”
“Yeah, but you're still important to me. Never forget that.”
“Of course, Izu.”
We finish eating and go on a few more rides until we hear an explosion as we're getting off a ride. We quickly activate our suits and get to where the villain is. Red Riot and Pinky are there in civilian clothes fighting him.
“Red Riot, Pinky, we're here to help. Any info on him?”
“Izu-Naoki, yes, it seems anything they touch they can make explode.” Red Riot says.
I look at the villain; he is a tall bald man with a quirkest symbol tattoo on his head. “M, look into the symbol and the group.”
“Ok, Naoki.” Melissa says over the commission.
“Uravity, you and Pinky get civilians to safety. Red Riot, you're with me.”
“Got it, Naoki.” Uravity starts getting people out of the way.
I shoot off towards the villain, dodging his attacks.
“Naoki, you are an abomination to meta kind. I will kill you!” His body starts to glow, and I realize he's about to blow himself up. “But first.” The support of the ferris wheel blows up.
“Red Riot, hold it up with Uravity; I'll join when I can.” He runs to it using his quirk, hardening his body to support it.
“Naoki, if that level of power will be big enough to destroy the whole park.”
“Ok.” I quickly warp him in a black whip covering his whole body and rocket off to the sky. I go as high as I can before the explosion goes off. Black whip protects me from the blast, and I quickly drop his body, which is somehow still alive but knocked out, on the ground, and quickly grab the ferris wheel.
“Hey, Uravity, looks like we are finishing on the ferris wheel.” I say, lifting it up after she cancels the gravity of it. I sit down on its side gently. “Civilians, if any of you are hurt, make your way to Uravity. If not, Red Riot and Pinky will lead you out.” I grab the villain and put cuffs, canceling cuffs, on him and hand him to some officers that were now on the scene. In the end, there were no major injuries, and considering we were dealing with an explosion quirk, there was minimal damage. Afterward, it was just Ochako, Kirishima, and Mina there. I deactivate my helmet.
“Yagi, we're sorry.” They both say, bowing.
“Don't apologize; you weren't involved in the night.”
“But we knew what was going to happen and didn't stop it.”
“But we were just kids, and you were probably in shock that one of your friends could betray you like that. Listen, here's a comm for Might Tower. I'll contact you when I need you. But for now, we have some news reports here.” I walk up to the reporters. “We will now answer questions.”
I point to one of them. “Yes, I'm Tanaka Aoi. How did you get here so quickly?”
“Uravity and I were here on our day off to enjoy each other's company.”
“Does that mean you two are dating?”
We both blush. “Yes, that is true, but we don't let it get in our way of hero work. If anything, we make each other better.”
“What do you say to people who will say she got the job by sleeping with you?”
“I would call them idiotic. Even before we started to date, I planned on putting her in charge of it. You see, she was my first real friend and a great hero. She saved me so many times; I lost count. Plus, we're both still virgins.”
After we answer some more questions, we make our way back to my truck.
“So, that date could've gone better.” I joke.
She laughs. “Yeah, apparently your villain magnet is still on.”
I act offended. “It's not my fault villains always seem to want to be beaten by me.”
“You know, maybe I should have left you in Shirakawa. I would have a lot less trouble.”
“I'm not that bad.”
“Izuku, you have taken down over a thousand villains and fifty corrupted heroes. You have been here under two months.”
“Maybe you're right, but you'd miss me.” I stick my tongue out at her.
“You're lucky I love you.”
“By the way, I'm thinking about making homemade ravioli when we get home.”
“That sounds good.”
A few days later, I go to the commission building, and I'm currently sitting in President Junta's office. “I'm glad you could make it, Naoki.”
“Call me Izuku, President.”
“Then call me Junta. First, I would like to tell you the good news. From our latest stats, you are now the number one hero. We plan on releasing this news later today.”
“But that's not the only reason I'm here, is it.”
“No, we got some news from Tartarus a few days ago. Bakugou Katsuki has escaped from prison.”
“Do you have a video of it?”
He nods and shows me the video. Bakugou's cell blows up, and he walks out, looking at the camera before it turns off. He doesn't blow it up but turns it off.
“Okay, I'm giving us six months to a year before he attacks. He's not stupid, even when he lets his anger get the better of him. He's going to be in hiding and planning his next move.”
“I'm assuming you already had a plan just in case this happened.”
“Yes, we don't know how many people he'll get, so we need to add a security system that locks down every building in Japan to keep the civilians safe. As well as underground bunkers just in case.” I hand him a flash drive. “That has designs for them. Call Nedzu and tell him I said to help you. I'll also put some money in.”
“Thank you, Izuku.”
“No problem. And when I give you the call, you get yourself and Nagisa to Might Tower.”
“Okay.” I stand up and shake his hand before flying out of his window.
Notes:
This chapter took longer then I liked to come out but I'm currently in culinary school and had like ten events in the past two weeks. So this chapter my not be my best but the next one is Izuku's Birthday so it should be better.
Izuku is now the number one hero. The manga never said how they decided who the number one is. So I decided for this fanfic it is a combination of popularity poll and arrest. With all the positive press and posts Izuku has been getting he made number one pretty fast.
I'm also really like gow Izuku and Ochako talk to each other
Chapter 9: Birthday
Summary:
It's Izuku's birthday and it's time to celebrate.

Chapter Text
Eri's POV:
I wake up and quickly get out of bed. This is one of the only days Dad and I don't go for a run. I quickly get dressed in casual clothes consisting of black sweatpants and a t-shirt with the word "Socks" that Dad bought for me. His fashion sense sucks, but at least it's really comfortable. I then go to my vanity and fix my hair in a high ponytail. Finally, I put on a necklace that Dad also gave me. It looks like his crystal one that holds his hero suit.
“Alright, let's do this,” I say to myself, determined not to burn breakfast this time. I walk to the kitchen and gather all my ingredients. First, I make some fresh orange juice and put it in the fridge to keep it cold. I put some oil in the pan and crack some eggs into it, scrambling them before leaving them in the pan. I make sure to turn off the heat this time and start making some French toast in a different pan. It gets slightly burned on one side, but it could be worse. Finally, I cook some bacon until it's just slightly crispy.
I start making three plates. I leave Mom's out on the table and carry mine and Dad's to his room. As much as I love her, this is a time for me and him to spend together. He will always be my favorite hero, no matter what. When his first piece of official merchandise comes out, it'll replace one of my main posters or figures. I know some people might think it's weird how much I love my dad, but I don't care. The pictures the reporters got of me on his back are hidden in my music box. I look at them every day before I go to sleep to remind myself of how far I've come. I knock on his door, and he says, “Come in.” I open the door, set the tray down on his bed, and sit beside him.
“Wow, Eri, this actually looks amazing.”
“Thanks, Dad. I finally didn't burn it this time.”
He pats my head, and I lean into it. “I'm proud of you.”
“Dad, happy birthday.”
“Thanks, sweet pea.” We eat the food while watching a terrible soap opera that we watch every year. “Eri, I have some good news,” Dad speaks up.
I look up to him with eager eyes. “Yesterday, during my meeting with President Junta, he told me that I'm now the number 1 hero.”
I hug him tightly. “I'm so proud of you, Dad.”
“Thanks, sweetie. I thought you should be the first to know since you always had my back. Now, how about we get out of bed and go bake a cake with your mom, so we have it ready when everyone gets here?”
“Sounds good, Dad.”
I couldn't be happier for him. He deserves this. He worked so hard for this. We've only been here for three months, and he's already number 1. He is now the youngest pro to ever be number 1, as well as the fastest since he made his debut not that long ago.
Izuku's POV:
I go over the past few months in my head while we're waiting for the cake to bake. First, Ochako, Toshinori, and Aizawa found me. A week later, I left with them and made my official debut a week after that. I stopped Katsuki in that same week. Then I stopped over a thousand villains and fifty corrupted heroes in two months. During my and Ochako's date, we reconnected with Kirishima and Ashido. Then two weeks after that, the President told me I'm now the number 1. It seems like it's happening so fast.
“Izu, are you listening?”
“Sorry, Ocha, lost in my thoughts.”
“I said Toshinori and my parents are pulling up now.”
“I'll go greet them,” I say, making my way to the door.
“You're lucky it's your birthday, and I love you.”
I flip her off before I open the door.
“Izuku, my boy, happy birthday,” Toshinori says, hugging me.
“Thanks, Toshi. The girls are in the kitchen if you want to see them before you go to the living room.”
“I might just do that,” he says, walking to the kitchen.
“Izuku, happy birthday, and it's good to see you again.”
“You too, Mrs. Uraraka.”
“I told you to call me Fuko. Now I'm going to go join the girls in the kitchen.”
“Okay, Fuko, and thanks.”
Mr. Uraraka pulls me into a hug. “Izuku, when you disappeared, I was so worried.”
“It's okay, Mr. Uraraka.”
“I told you to call me Tomoya. Now, do you have somewhere private where we can talk?”
“Yeah, sure, follow me to my office.” I lead him up the stairs to my office. “So what did you want to talk about?”
“Listen, I was planning on telling you this before you left, but yeah. I was going to tell you, don't hold back on love. It can be the greatest thing ever. You know how I can't lift my right shoulder.”
“Yeah, I thought you hurt it on the job.”
“That's what a lot of people think, but no, it was my dad. He was a drunken asshole. We got into a fight one night, and he pushed me out a window. After that, he treated me like a stranger, and I lived like a delinquent. Then I met a girl in my third year of high school. She was the nicest person ever. I fell in love for the first time. But she was sick, but I didn't care. We got married and had a daughter.”
“Ochako, right.”
“No, the woman who I loved was named Nagisa. She died giving birth, and I didn't see my daughter for four years after that. My father showed up and told me to be better than him. Even though I hate him, he was right. I finally started taking care of her, but she had the same disease as her mom. When we were walking in the snow, she died in my arms. I thought I would never love again, then Fuko came back into my life. She was a friend from high school. I started to change. The first thing I did was change my last name to my mother's family name. I managed to move on, but I still think of Nagisa and Ushio every day to remind myself to be better.” He had tears in his eyes at this point.
“I'm so sorry, I had no idea.”
“I'm not telling you this to make you feel bad. I'm telling you so you can be better than me.”
“You're a good dad.”
“But you can be even better.” He wipes his eyes. “Now let's go join the party, where I can tell the story about how nervous you were when you first met me.” I laugh, and we make our way back downstairs.
Tensei, Aizawa, the Shimanos, Shields, the Pussycats, Shinso, Anan, and the rest of the agency are here now, and we're gathered around the table sharing stories. Most of them are about me since it's my birthday. Katsuma and Eri are talking about a new anime they got into.
I stand up and raise my glass. “I would like to thank everyone for coming today and celebrating my birthday as well as me becoming number one. Being twenty-one now is a new experience I'm looking forward to sharing with you all. I hope this year will be as great as the last few months. I couldn't have done it without any of you. So thank you again.”
“Hear, Hear!” Tensei shouts.
“Hear, Hear!” Everyone else shouts back. I sit down, and Haneyama stands.
“I got a call today from the same company that makes all the Might Tower merchandise. They said the first wave of Naoki merch is ready. In fact, they sent in some copies of the three posters.” She pulls out some poster tubes and hands them to me.
I open the first one. It is of All Might in his debut suit handing me a torch. The next one is me floating with black whip coming out from behind me and green electricity. The final one is me taking the iconic All Might pose. I smile at them; they're perfect. I put them back in their tubes and put them to the side.
“Now I can't beat that, but here,” Tensei says, handing me a box. I open it to find a mini exhaust tube. “Most of my family carry them on patrol as good luck charms.” I put it in my pocket.
“Thank you, Tensei.”
“Now here's my gift to you,” Emi says, handing me a box. I open it and find condoms. Ochako and I both turn red. “For when you finally decide to,” Aizawa quickly puts his hand over her mouth before she can finishes.
“Really, love?” He asks her. She just laughs. “As for my gift. It is something every hero needs. I gave one to Shinso and Ochako when they graduated.” I open the bag, and it's a green sleeping bag. We all burst out in laughter. The rest of the party goes pretty well, and we're all on our way to the agency now.
I call Tensei to my office. “You need to see me?”
“Yeah, it's time we dealt with Tenya. Before you say you'll go alone, me and Uravity will be going with you. We trust you, but he is pretty powerful, so it's where we can make sure we get him.”
“I understand. I'm ready for what needs to be done.”
“Good, we leave in two days. I have Defender watching his moves right now. He'll tell us if something happens and we need to go sooner.”
“Good, he has always been good at that. Now I need to go get ready.”
“Go talk to Melissa; she has something for you.”
He smiles at her name and nods, leaving my office.
Notes:
This chapter was so fun to write. And yes Ochako dad was a reference to Clannad. I love putting references to romance anime in my stories. And yeah it's next time it's Tenya turn for reckoning. And Haneyama is Popstep form Vigilantes. I have some plans for her but I might not use it.
Chapter Text
Izuku's POV:
"Are you sure you'll be alright without me?"
“Dad, you've already asked me ten times. I'll be fine. Toshinori lives down the street, you have Shinso watching the housing, and Melissa put in a new security system that Aizawa can't even break through."
"Okay, good. Now remember, if anything happens, hold onto your necklace and say "activate code red."”
"I know, Dad." I hug her tightly, and she hugs back. I make my way to Shinso next.
"Shinso, you are my first line of defense. If anything happens to her, I'll rip your balls off and shove them down your throat. Wait till you shit them out and shove them back down again. Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes." he says, shrinking down into himself.
I pick up my overnight bag and get in Tensei's car. "I'm ready."
"You know when you get into dad mode, you're scared." Tensei says.
"I have to be. Tensei, do you mind if I catch a few Z's while you drive?"
"Yeah, sure, man. Go ahead."
"I'll take a nap too." Ochako says.
Tensei's POV:
I knew this day would come when Izuku started to take down corrupt heroes, but I didn’t think it would be this hard. It makes sense for us three to go though. I'm just slightly faster than him, so I can keep up with him when he runs because I know he will. Ochako for his victim. If how rough he is with them, they'll need medical attention, and she is someone who can defend them if need be. Izuku for the fight because I might be faster than Tenya, but Izuku is the strongest out of anyone. Plus, we have the most invested in the case besides maybe Aizawa.
I feel doubts filling my head, but I think about his victims. One, a guy who stole a can of soup to feed his daughter. He put him in a wheelchair. One woman who was a sex worker he put her in a coma that she is still in two weeks later. A young girl who was forced to pickpocket by her dad due to her quirk. He kicked her so hard she is on life support. This Tenya isn't my little brother; he is a monster.
Ochako wakes up to her phone ringing, and when she answers it, her expression darkens. After talking for a few more minutes, she hangs up. She nudges Izuku awake, and he looks lost for a second. “That little girl Tenya put on life support just died. This just became more serious. This is a murder case now.”
Izuku clenches his fist so hard I can hear his knuckles pop. This just got a whole lot more personal for him. “We'll pay for the funeral and everything. Also, her father who escaped; he is number 2 on our wanted list. Put it out for everyone now, Ocha.”
“Okay, Izu. You okay?”
“I will be after we catch both of them.”
“Izuku, we're five minutes out from Hosu. When we get to the hotel, I'll take the stuff up while you two suit up and start searching for him.”
They nod, and I take our stuff up to our rooms. I activate my suit. “M, is there any updates from them yet?”
“No, but the commission is getting a cell ready for him in all the jails in Hosu.”
“Good, thanks, M.”
“No problem, Ingenium. If you need anything, just call.”
I start running around the city that I used to love. It has changed so much since I last left. Crime rates are up twenty percent. Not as many families live here anymore. There is now graffiti saying Stain was right. It's hard to disagree with it now. I mean, I hunt down corrupt heroes weekly now, but I still believe he could go about it a better way.
“Ingenium, Uravity has eyes on him in an alley on Moss Street.” I start running towards it. I hear sounds of engines and loud smacks. I arrive and see Tenya kicking an already down man with green hair.
“Brother, stop this madness.”
He turns to me. “I'm just doing my job and taking down a villain.”
“You're going too far. You crossed a line that should never be crossed.”
“You know the laws; if a person uses their quirk to commit a crime, it's legally a villain.”
“But this.” I motion to the man. “Is too far.”
He goes to kick him again, but black whip wraps around his body. “Iida Tenya, you are under arrest for assault, assault with a quirk, attempted murder, attempted murder on three counts, and murder.” Uravity jumps down and starts tending to the wounds.
“Who did I murder?”
“Koharu Hidaka. The little girl who was forced to pickpocket by her father.”
“She was legally a villain.”
“So that gave you the right to kill her?”
“The same right I should have used that night. If I killed you then, everything would be perfect.”
“What do you mean, Tenya?” I ask.
“If I killed him then he would have never come back. Then Ochako would belong to me. Then that little bitch Eri would have never healed you, and I would be Ingenium. But this bastard had to ruin everything. He took away my prize.”
“Ochako was never yours." Izuku says.
“He's right; I never have or will forgive you for that night. Besides, I have always loved Izu.”
“Fuck this.” He starts to run and slip out of black whip. I manage to stop him by clotheslining him. I put cuffs on him, and we take him to the station and the victim to the hospital. When we get back to the hotel, we learn that the father was captured by an underground hero working for us.
“Tensei, can I talk to you?”
“What is it, Izuku?”
“I'm starting an office here and want you to run it.”
“I accept.”
“Thanks, Tensei.”
Izuku's POV:
I sit on my bed and look at a picture of me and Eri. I know that sooner or later she'll be off on her own, having her own adventure, but I can't help but worry right now. I just have a bad feeling.
And my bad feeling is proving right when I hear, “Code Red Protocol.” I activate my suit and rocket out the window, not caring about it breaking. I activate gear six and cause a sonic boom.
“Hold on, Eri, I'm coming.”
Notes:
So this chapter isn't as long as the rest but that's because I plan on making the next one the longest. Plus I was having issues writing this one for some reason. Next time Izuku declares war.
Chapter 11: He's back

Izuku house is under attack

Chapter Text
**Izuku's POV**
I'm flying faster than I ever have before, a constant string of sonic booms following me. I feel Nana urging me to push harder, and Kubo allowing me to use a hidden seventh gear. I reach my house in three minutes and see it surrounded by villains with the same symbol as the one from the amusement park. Other pros are arriving since most live in the same neighborhood, so I rocket into the house. I see a guy on top of Eri, trying to rip the protective suit off her, and others surrounding them, shouting to hurry up so they can have their turn. I quickly unleash Black Whip with all my anger, knocking them all down and a few through the walls. A few start to get up.
“Fuck, Naoki came before we could have our fun,” a fat one says.
“The boss said we had to be fast, but not that fast,” a skinny tall one says.
“Who sent you?” I demand.
“None of your business. Let's just say he is the perfect human being. His quirk is one of the most powerful, and he isn't scared to put non-humans in their places.”
I decide I've heard enough of this bullshit and quickly knock them out. All of a sudden, Danger Sense goes off, and I quickly dodge and make sure Eri is behind me. Right where we were, the ground craters.
“I've finally going to get my revenge,” a voice I recognize says. I look up to see Muscler. “I'm going to ruin you. The boss said I couldn't kill you because he wants the final blow. But he told me to kill the little bitch in the tin can there.”
I charge up to 125% of One For All and call upon Fa Jin to float and hit him, smashing him through five walls. “YOU WILL NOT TOUCH HER!” When we get through the whole house, I wrap him in Black Whip and slam him down on the ground. He starts to get up but collapses again. I quickly and efficiently take out the remaining villains, leaving the heroes on the scene to deal with hauling them off while I rush back in to check on Eri.
“Eri, are you okay?” I say as soon as I get back to her and pick her up.
We both deactivate our helmets. She is crying hard. “Daddy, I was so scared. I didn't know what to do. I heard a loud boom and looked outside to see Shinso fighting villains, but there were too many. I called a code red, but you were so far away.”
I wipe her tears with my free hand. “It's okay, sweetie, you don't have to fear. You know why?”
“Because you are here,” she says, still crying slightly.
I kiss her forehead. “Honey, I know you were scared. I would be too. I promise you I'm going to find out who's behind this and stop them.”
I tell her to get anything important to her because we're not safe here. Ochako has arrived at this point, and she does the same. I go to my room and start putting my most important stuff in boxes. The first thing I grab is a photo album of all of us. I grab Ochako’s autograph and a few extra suit crystals. All my hero merchandise is in a museum at Might Tower or in my office there.
I finally get the most important thing from my safe, something I hope I never have to use: a bit of my hair and instructions to give the quirk to Eri if anything were to happen to me. I did some research and talked to the past user; Eri’s quirk would negate any negative effects on her body like aging faster. Very few know my plan, those being Toshinori, Anan, Aizawa, and Uraraka. I decided not to tell Eri because I know it would always be on her mind.
I put my stuff in my truck and wait for the girls. The Shimanos’ should already be at the tower. The pussycats are safe in their own building, but every hero who works out of the Might Tower building is going to be or already there. I'm dropping the girls off then going to integrate some of the members.
Melissa explained while I was packing that they are a group calling themselves The Friends of Meta Kind. They target anyone they deem less than perfect. That includes weak, mutant, and useless quirks. Its main target though is the quirkless. They popped up shortly after the war. Their leader is still unknown, but I plan on finding out. I make a post and send every news station a warning about the symbol they all wear and to avoid them and report them to a hero immediately.
**Eri's POV**
Dad is still integrating the members of the FMK, so I feel more scared than when Overhaul had me. At least then I knew my life was safe because he still needed me. But this is different. I can tell whoever it is has a grudge against dad, so they'll try to hurt him in the worst way possible, by hurting me, Ochako, and whoever else he cares about.
Mahoro and Katsuma haven't left my side since we arrived at the tower. We are currently watching a report on the attack. The reporters moved fast on dad's orders.
“This is the site where the terrorist group known as The Friends of Meta Kind attacked the home of the number one hero Naoki. He was away on a mission to take down the corrupt hero Iida Tenya. But his daughter was home. She was being watched by multiple heroes, but namely Mind Freak. Naoki was on site within less than four minutes despite being a six-hour car trip away. When asked for a statement, he said there would be a press release as soon as he can figure out what all is happening. But left a warning for anyone thinking they can hurt him. And I quote “You will not get away with it. We'll stop you.”
I click off the TV and hug my knees. I know dad won't let anyone hurt me, but my anxiety brain, as dad calls it, isn't letting me feel safe. I feel a pair of gentle arms wrap around me. I look up to see Katsuma looking at me with gentle eyes. Eyes that made my anxiety wash away.
“E-chan, I'm here for you. Mahoro is here. You are safe. Your dad is the best hero out there; if anyone can figure it out, it's him.”
I feel another pair of arms wrap around me as Mahoro begins to talk. “E, we're not going anywhere. You're our friend.” I have the best friends.
I hear the elevator ding, and my dad walks in with a look between rage and determination. He hits an intercom button. “Everyone in the common room on the twenty-fifth floor now.
**Izuku's POV**
As I get back to the tower, the first thing I see is Eri being hugged by Katsuma and Mahoro. It makes my mood slightly better. As everyone sorts in and takes a seat. “Ok I got everything I could form the FMK and they told me their leader's name. It isn't good.”
“Who is it?” Aizawa says.
“BakugouKatsuki,” I let that sink in. “That's not the worst news. You all remember All For One.” They nod. “I have reason to believe he gave a version of his quirk to him.”
“But how?” Toshinori asks.
“We all remember that Shigaraki was a man-child. That's why he lost; he got mad and threw temper tantrums and wasn't smart about the quirks he took. He took them from villains mainly, and those quirks caused his body to react when he was mad. It was gruesome, and I wasn't even there. But I know All For One was smart enough to have a backup plan.”
“And Bakugou, when not angry, is actually really smart,” Aizawa says.
“Correct. So I went to talk to Dadi, and he confirmed that Katsuki did come back to the bar for a meeting with All For One.”
“Fuck!” I hear Toshinori curse in English.
“I'm about to have President Junta put Japan on lockdown and call Katsuki out. I'm going to have you all stay in the tower until he is defeated.”
“We're not letting you go alone,” Ochako says.
“Ochako, I'm the only one strong enough to defeat him. And if something goes wrong, I need y'all to finish the job. This isn't up for debate.”
She looks down. “Ok.”
“Dismissed. Get ready for rescue duty in two days.”
Ochako and I walk into my office. “Izu-kun, I know you have to do this, but I can't lose you again.”
I pull her into a hug. “I know. I wish I could promise you that I'll come back safe, but I know I can't. I plan on telling him to meet me in two days.”
“Ok, Izu.”
“Can I ask you to promise me something?”
“Of course.”
“If I don't make it, take care of Eri. I know it's going to break her.”
“I promise,” she says as tears start to form.
After a while, she leaves, and I make a statement to every news company.
“Katsuki, this is me calling you out. In two days, we stop this. I'll be waiting for you on top of the roof you told me to jump off. But call off your goons now and face me one-on-one.” The stations get hacked.
“Deku, I'll see you there, and when I win, I'm going to destroy all that you built.”
“I’ll be ready.”
I hang up the call and call the commission president to lock down Japan. I then start to get my team ready for rescue work.
I spend the next day with Eri and Ochako. It was emotional; we looked at pictures from the last few months. One of us all asleep in my office. Ochako was floating while Eri had a book clenched into her chest while snuggled up next to me. But now it’s time to have some talks. I go to Aizawa first; he was in his apartment that’s in the tower with Emi. She gives him a kiss and leaves us alone. “Problem Child, I know you have to do this, but I don’t like it.”
I chuckle lightly and sit beside him. “I’m never going to escape that nickname.”
“Nope, but it's now also Eri’s nickname too. I mean, did you hear about her free running incident?”
“You mean when she tried to jump too far and fell, causing the others to fall.”
“Yeah, she reminds me a lot of you, kid.”
“I get that a lot.”
“I think back to the first time I saw you. I thought you were an arrogant kid who never trained their quirk. But you proved me wrong. You are the true meaning of a hero. You put others' lives ahead of yourself. You have saved so many lives that it isn’t surprising why you are number one.”
“You know I never wanted to be number one; I just wanted to save as many lives as possible. To be a beacon of hope for people like me.”
“That's another reason you're a great hero. You don’t care about all the other stuff. You would have been a great hero without a quirk.”
“Thanks, Aizawa.”
“Call me Shota.” He hands me a box, and I open it.
“These goggles were Oboro's.”
“Why give me these?”
“You remind me a lot of him. He would have loved you. You two would have gotten along.” He looks down. “I made a promise that I wouldn't let any of my students die. Please promise me you'll come back.”
“Shota, you remember one of the first things you told us when you know for a fact you might not be able to keep a promise.”
“Don't make it.”
“So you know I can't.” He pulls me into a hug, and I hug him back. After a while, he lets go, and I make my way to Toshinori's apartment.
“Hey, Toshinori.”
“Izuku.” He gives me a sad look.
“I know that look. Toshi, I have to do this.”
“I know, but I wish you didn't.”
“Toshi, I came to thank you for being there for me. I never met my bio dad, but you have always been there since I met you. You are the closest I ever had to a dad. So I just wanted to thank you before it's too late.”
We talk for a few more minutes before I leave to talk to Anan. “Hey, Anan.”
She already has tears in her eyes, and she hugs me. “Izuku, do you really have to do this?”
“Yeah, I do.”
“Listen, I know you won't promise anyone you'll be back, but I'll make you a promise. When you come back, I'll show you a place that is my favorite. You can see so many stars from it.”
“Ok, Anan.”
I walk into Eri's room to see Mahoro and Katsuma there comforting her. “Hey, you two, you mind if I talk to Eri alone for a little bit.”
“Sure.”
“Thanks.”
“But Mr. Izu, please be safe out there,” Katsuma says.
“Yeah, we'll miss you,” Mahoro says.
I pull them both into a hug before they leave. Eri hugs her knees as I sit next to her. “Hey, Unicorn.”
“Hey, Dad.”
“You know I wouldn't go fight him if I didn't have to.”
“I know, Dad.”
I pull her into my side. “I love you, never forget that.”
“Dad, please be careful out there. I just keep thinking if I lose you, I'll go back to being that scared little girl.”
“Eri, listen to me. You are by far the most intelligent, brave, and beautiful little girl I could ask to be my daughter. And I'm always with you in here.” I point to her heart. She starts crying slightly. “Don't cry now. When you're sad about me being gone, just think about all the good times we've had.” I wipe her tears and hold onto her until she falls asleep. I place her into the bed and leave her room. I send Katsuma and Mahoro back in to watch over her.
I go to the roof and sit next to Ochako. We just sit there in silence, looking over the cityscape. The buildings are going into lockdown. The words unspoken are more meaningful than anything else we could say.
Notes:
So this chapter was my favorite I have ever written. Some parts I got emotional writing. So Katsuki got All for One but I think hw would only quirks he thinks are powerful. The next chapter is the final battle then there's one more chapter after that.
Chapter 12: Final battle
Summary:
It's time for the final battle

Chapter Text
Izuku's POV:
I stand atop Aldera, gazing at the rising sun. Normally, it would be beautiful, but the chaos around me isn't. I hear an explosion coming my way and dodge it. "Deku, you actually showed up."
"Of course. You're a villain, and I need to stop you."
He shoots a beam of light at me, but I quickly dodge and flick some air pressure at him, knocking him back a few feet. "I hate your guts. You're living my life. You're the number one hero with All Might's quirk."
"You know All Might would never give it to you. You're not worthy, and you'll never be." He screams, shooting explosions at me. I activate a smoke screen and try to get behind him, but he shoots fire at me, hitting me. I retaliate with air pressure, causing the ground to crack and him to trip.
I create some smoke and send it at him to block his vision, then kick him in the gut. He manages to hit me, but I counter with an elbow to the side. As the fight continues, each of our blows devastates the other. I can feel my suit getting destroyed. He launches an attack that destroys part of my mask.
"Put Aizawa on." I command.
"Kid, what do you need?"
"Did you ever notice anything while training him, like a weakness?"
"His anger is one, but I did hear him complain about his left knee a lot."
"That explains why he is only attacking from the right side." I send a piece of black whip at his left leg, pulling it hard, causing him to fall and curse.
"Guess you found my weakness, but that doesn't matter." He shoots flames at me, and I barely dodge, managing to put them out by using a smoke screen to remove the oxygen.
"The suit's integrity is at fifty percent." The suit's AI says.
"Any damage that is lethal yet?"
"No, but bone fractures and second-degree burns cover thirty percent of your body."
"Take the nanobots from my mask and cover those areas."
"No can do. They won't move due to damage."
"Guess I have to start hitting harder. Fourth gear Fa Jin technique!" I hit him hard, causing him to go flying. I quickly use black whip to grab him and slam him down. "Stand down, Katsuki."
"No." He retorts, rocketing at me and landing a right hook. I counter with a knee to his gut, causing him to cough up blood. But he somehow manages to grab my head and detonates an explosion, causing my mask to fly off, leaving me blind on my right side. He goes to attack again, but I use danger sense to dodge and hit him with a slash of black whip.
"The suit's integrity is at 25 percent. The optic nerve on the right side is completely damaged. Your frontal lobe is damaged. Any more damage can cause complete paralysis."
The fight continues, and I can tell we're both slowing down, so it's just down to who has the most endurance. Blood covers my remaining vision. My suit is all but completely destroyed at this point.
"Izuku, we're unlocking a form of One for All that'll be able to stop him, but it's going to kill him. Are you ready?" Nana says.
I think back to our past and say yes. I feel my body start to glow. The darkness surrounding us disappears as I channel all the power stored inside One for All into my whole body.
"UNITED STATES OF SMASH!" I yell as I hit him, and he falls to the ground. I'm barely standing, but I raise my fist into the air.
Eri's POV:
I see dad raise his fist into the air and hear cheers around me, but I don't join in because of his shocking state. The heroes are suiting up for rescue work when he collapses. "DAD!" I quickly pull up his health stats on the app connected to his suit and realize he is barely hanging on.
I go to Tensei and Ochako. "Take me to him."
"Eri, it's too dangerous out there for you." Ochako says.
"Eri, it's going to be fine." Tensei agrees.
My blood pressure rises. "YOU WILL TAKE ME TO MY DAD RIGHT NOW. I AM NOT LOSING HIM. I REFUSE TO LOSE HIM. HE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN MY LIFE AND ALWAYS WILL BE." My horn grows as I get angrier. "I can't lose him, not after everything he's done for me."
"Okay, Eri, we'll take you to him." I feel Tensei pick me up, and we bolt out of the building, with mom following behind us. I see villains being taken down by heroes as we run. When we reach the school's roof, I see dad bleeding badly. Tensei puts me down, and I run to him.
"Dad, it's going to be okay."
"Hey there, my little princess. It's okay, I won." He says, grabbing onto my jacket. "I finally did it. I beat him, and he didn't take everything away from me again." He starts coughing up blood and lets go of me, falling unconscious.
"No. Dad, stay with me." I start to rewind him, seeing his injuries go away, but he isn't waking up. "Daddy, please be okay." Tears roll down my face. "I need you." His vitals from his suit start to improve, but he still isn't waking up.
"Eri, let's get him to the hospital." I can only nod as a medical vac helicopter lands and loads him in, allowing me to go with him while mom and Tensei get back to work.
When we get to the hospital, they explain that he will be fine but exhausted due to his quirk. They get him in a room, and I sit beside his bed. A few hours later, Anan and Toshinori show up with a change of clothes for me. That's when I realize I have his blood on me. I go and change and sit back by his bed. Toshinori is on the couch in the room, and Anan is sitting beside him. I start reading a book dad gave me that I've been putting off reading. He said it's one of his favorite pre-quirk books called "I Want to Eat Your Pancreas." He swears the name is just weird, but it's really sweet.
At the end of the day, mom shows up, and Toshinori and Anan leave for the day. As the days go on, he has a lot of visitors come to see him, but he shows no sign of waking. Until one day, I feel him grip my hand.
"Daddy?"
"Yeah, I'm awake, Honeybee." I hug him tightly.
"Thank God."
After the doctor checks him out, he's free to go. We go back to the agency and surprise everyone. He gets tackled to the ground almost instantly by everyone hugging him all at once.
The news reports after he awakes are a celebration for everyone. Unlike the first war, only Bakugou was killed in the battle, but it was the only choice. People are writing article after article about him.
Notes:
I apologize for the late chapter I'm now working two jobs while going to college so I have busy schedule now. Plus I have finals coming up so yeah.
But this chapter was still fun to write. I came up with a few new moves. Plus Eri’s horn growing the angrier she gets is something I decided would be fun ideal. But the next chapter just fluff I'll be honest. But the fanfic I have planned after this is a darker one. I'm going tongo ahead and explain the plot here.
Izuku is born a year early and still gets one for all. During his first year his whole class died during a villain attack leaving him with survivor guilt. But a class 1a decideds to support him after learning his story.
Chapter Text
