Sonic didn't know he would get this job. He had submitted his CV to the company without much faith, as he had already submitted it to many companies without success so far, most companies were not interested in hiring people without experience on their CV. However, upon seeing the huge company SH'A entertainment — which had a focus on mass production of sports items in general — he had a good feeling about it and tried to remain positive about delivering the curriculum, hoping to whatever god in heaven he could to find this position for him.
The job confirmation came 2 days later, Sonic had just finished his coffee and was looking at his emails, hunting for something important. He saw a new email, the address of which was “SH’A entertainment”. Sonic left his coffe on his counter and quickly opened the email with his heart racing.
SUBJECT: EMPLOYMENT CONFIRMATION LETTER
Dear Sonic. We are pleased to confirm that you have been hired by our company for the position of Stock Replenisher. You will report directly to the company's CEO, Shadow Robotnik, starting on 02/26.

If you agree to the terms of this letter, please sign the attached copy and return it to our files.
We look forward to hiring you.
He couldn't believe what he was reading. He finally found a job and he couldn't be happier about it. He quickly hurried to sign the terms and go tell his friends that he had finally gotten it, he was sure that Amy and Tails would be very happy about it, after all, it had been a while since he had gotten a job. When he received his first salary, he was to invite them both to dinner with him.
Sonic took the day to organizing his house and his belongings for the day at work, as he would start his shift tomorrow morning, he couldn't wait to finally start working and not be in such a tight situation. He went to bed early to make sure he didn't wake up late the next day.
There was no way anything could go wrong, right?
everything went wrong.
Sonic had woken up to his 3rd alarm clock, getting up scared and checking the time.
"Damn, I'm going to be late on the first day of work, seriously?" — Sonic grumbled, stumbling across his room to put on his favorite running shoes and grab his steampunk glasses that wouldn't come out of his blue hair. If he took one last look in the mirror, he still looked disheveled — his hair was unruly, with only his glasses crumpling them and his clothes were a little rumpled — but he couldn't afford to be any further late. He ran to the bus stop and — as luck would have it — the bus arrived at the same moment.

Sonic stood in front of the massive company, taking a moment to take one last breath before entering the reception.
"Oh, good morning!" Sonic said with a slightly embarrassed smile, as he didn't know the environment and was nervous, to the point of stamping his feet on the ground repeatedly.
"Good morning, welcome to SH’A! What can I help you with?" Said the receptionist, shuffling some papers as she spoke.
"I was hired yesterday to replenish stock, in the email it said that I should meet directly with the company's CEO, I wanted to know where the room is..." said Sonic, with a nervous laugh
"Sir.Shadow's office is on the top floor, just take the elevator on the left and press the last button, his office is A-1!" while the receptionist explained, she pointed in the direction of the elevator.
"Oh yes, thanks!" Sonic thanked him as he gathered the courage to go and start his shift.
"You’re welcome, and good luck!" she said, a little nervous. Sonic hadn't understood the meaning of “good luck”, he wanted to ask but he was already very late, so he gave one last wave to the receptionist and ran to the elevator. As soon as the elevator started to rise, Sonic felt all the pressure of being in a new job, what if he messed up on the first day? Sonic was so absorbed in his thoughts that when he least expected it, the elevator dinged, indicating that he was at his destination. He went through the corridor with quick steps until he reached the indicated room — room A-1 — and knocked on the door, immediately hearing a “come in.” In a thick and deep voice, he took one last dry swallow and opened the door. "Uhm... Good morning... I'm Sonic H. I was hired yesterday to replenish stock and in the email it said that I would have to meet directly with you..." Sonic said, a little nervous about being in a superior's office, not wanting to look up.
Sonic hears a noise of someone getting up from the chair, and footsteps coming towards him. "Mr.Sonic… correct?" the voice said and Sonic shuddered and looked up, the view was jaw-dropping. His skin was black and he had black hair with red highlights that reached his shoulders, his red eyes conveyed a look of superiority and he wore square glasses that reinforced his appearance. In his position, his impeccable suit danced with the colors of his hair and the blue-haired man couldn't help but be embarrassed by the other's presence, thus nodding on the question of his name.
"Late on the first day? This wasn't the profile I thought I was hiring for. I see he slept more than the bed today." Shadow looked him up and down, seeing the mess the smaller one was in compared to himself. He spoke in a firm but low tone. "Heh, my bad..." Sonic laughed and started moving his foot in anxiety. He heard a sigh from the taller one and saw him go to his table with firm steps, where he picked up some clothes and a badge. "I will forgive you today because it is your first day, but I want you. here. at the right time. Understood?" Said his superior, handing the change of clothes to Sonic
"You can use my bathroom to change. Today, I will introduce you to the company and explain its functions. Pay attention because I won't explain it again." "Oh, yes sir!" said Sonic, a little more relaxed because the mess wasn't a big one.
"Uhm. Good." said the black-haired one with his vibrant tone of voice, returning to his table.
This is definitely going to be a long day.
