Chapter Text

All Might freezes as he comes up out of the sewer, pushing the manhole cover out of the way, only to see a giant of a man standing, ducking more like, under the bridge with Sludge scattered around him, and a little bit on his clothes, which are stretched tight around his body, which seems to be pure muscle.

‘Holy shit!’ All Might thinks to himself. ‘He has to be at least 30 feet tall!’ Clearing his throat, All Might speaks up. “Excuse me, sir, but were you the one who did this?” He asks, finally recognizing the man’s clothes as the uniform of one of the larger highschools in this part of town, causing his eyes to widen.

The man turns to face him, eyes wide. “Uhhhh… yes, it was. I’m sorry for not noticing you, All Might, as you can see I’m kinda a giant, it can be hard for me to notice people shorter than 10 feet if they’re as close to me as you are.” He says while rubbing the back of his head, his booming voice sending shivers down All Might’s spine.

“I assure you, it’s no problem. In fact, I would like to apologize to you. I’m new to the area, and got lost chasing that villain through the sewers, so it took me a second to catch up to him.” All Might says, his signature grin momentarily giving way to an apologetic expression.

The man waves him off. “It’s fine. I didn’t even notice him before I stepped on him and splattered him everywhere. He really wasn’t a problem.”

All Might’s eyes widen. “Wait, is that your default size? I assumed that you used a size-changing quirk to grow to that size to get him off of you.”

The man sighs. “Unfortunately, yes, this is my default size. Allow me to properly introduce myself. My name is Izuku Midoriya, and my quirk is a mutant-type called Limitless Growth. It’s self explanatory, I have no limit on how big I can grow. I also always grow at the same rate, gaining just over 1 and a half feet a year.”

All Might winces. “Living at that size must be quite the bother. Even I struggle to fit in some buildings, and I’m barely a quarter of your height.”

Izuku nods. “That it is. My mom couldn’t find a house or appartment she could afford where I fit inside, so I have to live in a cave I dug out. Not to mention how expensive it is to get clothes my size.” He says, slumping forward, frustrated by the mere thought. As he does so, though, there’s a loud tearing sound, and the back of his top splits down the middle. “… damnit, not again.” He groans.

All Might raises an eyebrow. “I take it this happens a lot?”

Izuku nods again, sliding his now-useless top off and balling it up so that he can put it in his pocket. “Yeah, back before I started working out it would happen once a month. Now that I’m building muscle, it happens once a week.”

All Might grimaces. “That must be expensive.”

“It is.” Izuku confirms. “Anyway, I still have groceries to do today before going home, so I’ve gotta go.” He says before turning to walk away.

“Hold on a second, young man!” All Might says, pulling out his wallet and taking out a card before holding it out for Izuku to grab. “Here’s the contact info of a construction company I’ve worked with in the past. They specialize in building homes and furniture for people whose quirks make them too big to fit in already-existing houses. They’re also a non-profit charity organization, so their work is completely free.” He pulls out another card. “And here’s the contact info of a support-charity that I fund. They make quirk-canceling bracelets for people with non-heteromorphic-mutant-type quirks that make their lives difficult. Call them up and they’ll make you one.”

Izuku blinks in shock, taking both cards and placing them in his other pocket. “Thanks. I wish that I’d learned about either of these organizations sooner.”

All Might laughs. “You’re welcome, young man. Though, it’s not a surprise that you haven’t heard about them, they don’t exactly put out advertisements, they just reach out to people they learn of that need their help.”

Izuku smiles. “Still, thank you for this All Might, it means a lot.”

All Might nods, slowly beginning to deflate as Izuku walks off, apparently going to do the groceries he mentioned.

“You’re how tall Mr. Midoriya?” The construction-company’s representative asks.

“I’m just under 30 feet tall.” Izuku responds, the man nodding and writing it down.

“And how wide at the shoulder?”

“Uhhmmm… I don’t know? I’d guess that I’m about a third as wide as I am tall, so maybe 10 feet or close to it.”

“Weight?”

“Around 15 tons.”

The man looks up from his paper, giving Izuku a once-over. “You sure? You don’t look it.”

“My quirk doesn’t just make me grow larger, it also makes me grow denser. I’m about 10 times as dense as a normal person.” Izuku explains. “Is there a time frame that I can expect my house to be ready in?”

The man shakes his head. “For now, no. We’ll contact you with the estimated completion date when work begins.”

“Then I’ll see you then?” Izuku asks.

The man nods before he turns and leaves Izuku’s cave.

Izuku sighs, leaning back in the stone chair he made for himself. “Soon enough, I’ll have an actual home for the first time in years.” He says quietly to himself. “Now, though, I have another meeting to schedule.” He says, pulling out the support-charity’s contact-card.
