Chapter Text
"I missed you, you know that Rebel?" Vagabond said as he himself adjusted to lay his head on top of his lover's chest. It was a warm summer afternoon and the couple decided to lay in a random field after Rebel found the wanderer sleeping in the field, much to his displeasure. Rebel could never understand how he could sleep on the ground for days on end with no problem.
Rebel sighed as he threaded his fingers through the blonde's hair, admiring all of his features from the small amount of freckles that littered his face to his prominent eye bags that indicated that he hasn't been getting any proper sleep since Rebel's been gone. Something that they would have to talk about later. "Yeah" He replied, jumping back slightly when the taller almost made them headbutt by sitting up too fast. The blondette glared at him before pouting and whining "Rebel~! You're supposed to say you miss me too, you did miss me right?" only to get a laugh in response. "Rebel I'm serious!" Vagabond pleaded, trying to act as seriously as possible to get the outlaw to take him seriously. But, much to his dismay he kept laughing like it was funny, which it wasn't!
Despite not being a guy who likes any type of seriousness at all, he can admit it was pretty annoying when he wasn't taken seriously when he was trying to be. Eventually, Rebel caught on to his boyfriends change in mood as he engulfed the taller in a hug. Smothering the other in kisses and sweet, sappy apologized in till he broke out into a fit of giggles and playful please that fell onto deaf ears.
"So..are you feeling any better now Vaga?" Rebel said as he laid on top of his boyfriend, resting his face on the crotch of his neck. He heard Vagabond's soft chuckle before feeling the vibrations of him mumbling something only he could hear. "Come again?"
"I said you still didn't answer my question." Vagabond pouted as he took off the outlaw's bandana, revealing his short, brown curly locks. He combed his fingers through his lovers hair as he waited for his answer. The blond did know that Rebel wasn't the most vocal about his love, opting to do kind favors instead to show his love. And don't get him wrong, he was fine with it, he just wished that Rebel would at least mutter the words. As he continued to play with the outlaw's hair, he heard him clear his throat before sitting up, straddling himself on top of his lap.
He hesitated, brushing some of his hair out of his face and looked down trying to calm himself down. All he was doing was saying that he missed his boyfriend, so why was it so hard to say? He did miss him while on his journey, he missed him a lot, but he just couldn't figure out how to word it in a way he would understand. He opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. He huffed angrily as his face flushed a bright red. He was getting tired of himself being difficult. Vagabond noticed his frustration, relating to it slightly, as he moved his boyfriend's head back to resting on his neck. He rubbed the brunette's hair in an attempt to get him to calm down, he didn't think that he would get that riled up from this.
"Take you time, you don't have to rush love" He cooed as he waited for him to calm down. They stayed like that for a while before Rebel lifted his head up again, slight blush still dusted on his face.
"I'm sorry Vagabond, I don't know what got into me.."
"No need to apologize! I understand that you struggle with voicing out your feelings."
"Well...how about I take you out for lunch today, my treat!" Rebel declared as he stood up, pulling up his boyfriend right after.
"How could a pass up an offer like that~? Let's go!" Vagabond sang as he grabbed Rebel's hand. Walking hand in hand they talked about anything that came to mind, things from interesting stories to literal nonsense that had them giggling and laughing the whole way there. They both enjoyed moments like these when they could just relax and enjoy the others company, even if it wasn't for that long. As they made it to their destination Rebel pulled Vagabond to the side.
Rebel then engulfed his lover into a hug, leaning close to his ear, he whispered "I missed you too.." before walking into the restaurant, leaving a flustered and beet-red Vagabond behind. It took the blond a second to register that that his boyfriend wasn't in front of him anymore as he let out a yelp before running into the eatery after Rebel.

Chapter Text
S'more Cookie hung up the phone with a shaky sigh, shaking off the sadness he decided to go and take a walk to clear his thoughts. He grabbed a pair of random sneakers, messed up from the wear and tear of old age, and put on a pair of sweatpants as he headed to the door only to gasp at the sight in front of him. It was heavily pouring down rain, probably for a while judging by how wet everything was outside. He swore that it was nice and sunny before he answered that phone call, was he really on the phone for that long?
"I'll just...go read instead" He muttered to himself as he closed the door and walked off to his room again. After changing back into some pajamas he grabbed a random book from his small bookshelf. He wasn't a huge fan of reading, but a good book or two during a camping trip wasn't bad every once and a while. He looked at the book he grabbed in interest as he cocked his head to the side. "Lost but not Forgotten" was the title of the book, he didn't remember buying it at all. He shrugged as he sat on his bead and started to read the book, only to be interrupted by his lovely girlfriend, Cannoli Cookie.
S'more looked at the taller woman in awe taking in all of her lovely features from her beautiful bright eyes and rosy cheeks to her toned body. He didn't know what he did to deserve such a captivating and angelic woman like her as his girlfriend but, he wasn't complaining. He placed his book to the side as he stretched his arms out, inviting Cannoli into a hug. She didn't hesitate to accept the hug as she practically tackled the shorter man in her embrace, snuggling close to him and nuzzling into the crotch of his neck. S'more hesitated before relaxing into her touch, relishing in her warmth. They stayed like this for a while before Cannoli piped up, sitting up so that she was straddled on his lap as he laid on the bed.
"You ok?" She asked, puzzling her boyfriend.
"Yeah?... Why wouldn't I be?"
"It's just that....after that phone call you seemed a bit upset, even more when you could go outside. So I wanted to know what happened on the call that made you so upset?" She explained worriedly as her leg bounced rapidly. If anything this could all just be Cannoli worrying about nothing like usual and her boyfriend was fine. She really hoped that it was. It wasn't everyday that S'more got upset at something, being the chill person he was, so when he did it wasn't pretty. Though, she was snapped out of her thoughts by her lover.
"I'm fine just a call from my mother is all" He said way too quickly for comfort, trying to brush the situation under the rug. S'more had a....not so good relationship with his mother. Don't get him wrong he loved his mother very dearly, she just loved him in a different way than most parents did. Sure they didn't really talk, or go out, or bond with each other. Sure she would constantly belittle him and insult him for every wrong doing and imperfection that he had. And sure she wasn't there for him in his darkest moments or his greatest achievements, and she wasn't the most accepting of him and who he was as a person. But at least she didn't leave him and his father, right? He sighed as he saw his lover's face scrunch up at the mention of the woman, Cannoli wasn't very fond of the woman either, especially considering her past with S'more. He braced himself mentally, expecting for her to go into an anger-filled rant about the woman, but he instead was met with he soft, warm embrace as she laid down to spoon him, cradling his face against her chest as she played with his hair.
"It's ok to be upset you know...it's alright to be upset at the ones you love, especially if they treat you wrong." She cooed as she loved on the man. Peppering his face with light kisses as she whispered praises and affirmations into his ears. She watched as his bottom lips started to tremble as he hid his face in her chest. He didn't want to bother her with his problems, he didn't want her to worry or be upset for his sake, he wanted to make it seem like everything was ok....like HE was ok. But he couldn't...he wished he could, but he just couldn't do it anymore.
S'more trembled as he cried softly into Cannoli's chest, nuzzling his face deeper into her as he tried to muffle his cries. Cannoli held him tighter as she rubbed his back and softly soothed him, making sure that her boyfriend knew that it was going to be ok. And maybe, just maybe this was all the love that S'more needed after all.

Chapter Text
Prune Juice huffed as he made it back to his hotel room, collapsing into the bed and content sigh. He was sore, agitated and really wanted to take a nap with his lovers. Recently Prune Juice, Kouign-Amann, and Capsaicin's respective schools thought that it was a good idea to hold a week long getaway for all the honors students of each school since it was spring break. Everything was paid for except for anything optional, such as anything not on the basic hotel menu, extra activities that didn't fall on the schedule and other things sort.
It seemed like everyone was having fun except Prune Juice, but he had reasons to not be enjoying himself! First off it was WAY too loud for Prune's liking, like did everyone really have to be yelling and screaming every five seconds!? It was also stuffy and uncomfortable in almost every event that was held, there were too many people trying to pack in these small spaces that they held these "parties" at. And the worst thing is that he's been separated from his lovers all day! Now, he isn't the one to like physical affection or too much attention, but it makes no sense that they wanted to split up all the schools for different events today. The only reason he even attended the damned trip was because of them, not any of his classmates!
He groaned as he peeled himself off the bed as he headed to the bathroom, deciding to take a shower after the sticky feeling of being covered in sweat started to set in. He shivered at the feeling of his clothes sticking to him as he peeled off his tank-top and shorts, thankful he wore that instead of his usual long robe.
Once the water was warm enough so it filled the room with steam he stepped in, wincing at how hot it was at first. As much as he loved hot showers he hated the feeling you get when you first go in, that burning sensation and then that itchy sensation once you pull your body away. But, after a while he started to get used to the heat like normal as he grabbed his soap and started to wash himself clean from the dirt and sweat that littered him all day.
Once done, he dried and wrapped himself with a towel before walking out of the bathroom. The alchemist was about to change before being startled by the presence of his two lovers sitting on the bed, guess they got back earlier than he expected.
"Hiya Pruney!" Capsaicin said, not bothering to note the others lack of clothes. Kouign-Amann on the other hand couldn't keep her eyes off of Prune. From the way his long, flowy hair framed his face to his surprisingly toned body and more, she felt like she fell in love all over again.
"Kouign your staring..." He muttered as looked down, fidgeting with his hands. Despite him being that one guy that talks highly about himself from time to time, he can't take a compliment at all. Once you say ANYTHING nice to him about himself or his work he shuts down into a fit of stutters and mumbles. But his partners don't mind though, his reactions are too cute to pass up on in their opinions and it's nice to them seeing his "I'm the best" facade falter every once and a while. It makes the both of them glad that he feels safe with them and comfortable with them enough that he can be himself around them. Prune Juice paused before realizing something, their selective activities that they had to attend to today still weren't over! He decided to question them on it.
"Sorry.." She said sheepishly as she looked away. Pulling Capsaicin's face away as well as the alchemist started to change.
After changing he shooed the two into the shower, claiming they smelled bad from being sweaty, which they did. As his lovers showered Prune decided to have a pack of rice cakes while he waited. Call him a kid if you wanted, but those shits were absolutely delectable to him. He sighed to himself, thinking about if he should actually go out later or not, since there were still activities being held.
Prune Juice yelped in surprise as he felt himself being lifted, rice cakes being abandoned on the floor. Before he could even whine about them making a mess he was smothered in his lovers loving embrace him in a hug full of kiss as they all laid on the bed. Prune was GOING to shoo them away to go clean, but he was so comfortable in their embrace and so were they. Those rice cakes can be picked up later.

"Prince Yogurt Cream...stay still for one second please!"
"I'm trying!"
The prince whined as he felt the thread around his waist tighten again as a warning to stop moving. But who could blame him, he was excited! It wasn't everyday that festivals were as grand as the annual, week long, summer festivals in Yogurca were. A whole week of just partying, no work, stress or anything bad of that sort! Just partying, good music, good food, fun activities and many more things that left him jittering in excitement.
He was snapped out of his thoughts by a final squeeze at his waist before hearing the tailor back away with a huff.
"I'm done now your highness, you may take a look if yo-" The poor tailor was cut off by Yogurt Cream almost knocking them over with how fast he ran to the mirror. He admired the well made gown. The way the hues of blue and purple blended together, the shimmering and shining of the beautiful jewelry that were embedded in the outfit. How surprisingly light it was, not too heavy with all the jewelry and the extra accessories that were made to go with it. It was all beautiful and he couldn't wait to show his lovely bodyguard and boyfriend, Lilac!
The prince wasted no time gathering his things and rushing out of the shop, paying the tailor a hefty sum on the way out. He ran into the streets of Yogurca, swerving in between the crowds of people with ease. Eventually, he made it to the palace where he was greeted by none other than his bodyguard, and the love of his life, Lilac Cookie. On sight the prince engulfed him in a tight hug, the other reciprocated more softly.
"How was the dressing session?" Lilac asked.
"Well.....take a look for yourself!" Yogurt Cream exclaimed, breaking out of the hug so that he could show his lover his new attire. Watching his boyfriend spin around in the outfit, Lilac was in awe. Yogurt Cream looked so beautiful, ethereal even.....they way the colors of the outfit complimented his hair and eyes, the gold and shining colors of the jewels and gems that complimented his skin, the way the outfit fit snug in his body and reveled just the right amount of skin for his lovers eyes. Oh man, he was in love love. "Soooo.....how do I look?" The prince asked as he shined a bright smile at the bodyguard.
With a breathy laugh and a small smile of his own plastered on his face he answered. "Majestic."

Chapter 5: Competition (Almondfort)
Notes:
Save me silly french man....save me...
Chapter Text
It was another day of work and solving crimes as Almond sat at his desk, he had been working on another case for ages now. Something about a mysterious pickpocketer, or whatever they were and it was taking up all of the detectives time! He swore that even Roguefort's case didn't leave him in this much work so quickly. He groaned, his hands down his face before he rose from his chair to stretch, maybe he needed a break....yeah a break sounded nice! He shook his head lightly, trying to shake off as much tiredness as he could before walking out of his office. Maybe a nice cup of coffee would do him some good.
As he walked down the hall of the police department someone else had other plans up their sleeves, that individual being none other than the infamous Phantom Bleu themself! They carefully climbed through the now opened window in the detective's office, and dare they say, that window was harder to open than they thought. Once they entered the office, careful to land on their good leg instead of their bad one, they made it over to the desk their beloved detective was sitting at.
They hoped to have seen some of their case files laying around as it filled Roguefort with a strange feeling of joy whenever he saw that Almond was hard on his case. The thought of being on the detective's mind 24/7 was quite endering to them. Both the Phantom thief and the detective knew good and well that he could have just dropped the case AGES ago, but for some reason he didn't. Or at least not until now.
But instead, they saw case files of some random ass street thief, how dare the departement assignt him such an amature case!? It was an insult to their dear detectives name!
Roguefort huffed as he skimmed through the files, trying to figure out more of this so called "thief", not noticing Almond's lingering gaze as he leaned on the door frame.
"Are you done yet? Those files are confidential you know."
"AH! D-Detective Almond! Why I was just-"
"Save it Phantom Bleu." Well shit....they were caught red handed. The Phantom thief sighed as they got up from the chair, now sitting on the desk as they stared at Almond with a small smirk, keeping up their facade.
"Oh my dear detective, your not gonna arrest me are you monsieur~?"
"No, no I'm not."
"It's a sham- what?"
"I said, I'm not gonna arrest you Bleu." The detective confirmed as he made his way towards Roguefort, standing right in front of them once they reached them. Roguefort didn't know what they were expecting that Almond grabbing the case files that they was skimming through certainly wasn't it.
They were slightly puzzled, tilting their head in confusion as they watched the detective make their way to the door without saying anything. They thought that this was it until he turned around and said one last thing that made the thief feel.....different....about the detective.
"Oh and Bleu, it seems you have some competition. Step it up a bit" Almond teased before leaving and shutting the door behind him. He honestly was fed up with the case as well and actually ENJOYED chasing Roguefort.....but....they didn't need to know that now did they?
Chapter 6: Overexertion (PureCacaoLily)
Chapter Text
It was another battle, a fierce one at that. The apposing side put up quite a fight as they didn't back down no matter how much they were losing. It had been day three of this ongoing invasion of bandits in the Cacao Kingdom, and things were slowly but surely turning for the better. The Cacaoian Army fought relentlessly against the intruding party alongside some of the ancients. The ancients in question being White Lily, Pure Vanilla and the Dark Cacao himself. I mean it was his kingdom at war, why wouldn't be had been there?
Pure Vanilla panted as he sent out another healing spell to a weary group of fighters before rushing back to Cacao and Lily's side, awaiting their need for any aid. He wasn't used to the stress and exertion of the battlefield in a long time, he doesn't know if he should be happy or upset about this fact. Maybe upset because of the fact that his body was getting tired more easily than normal. But, he shook off the fatigue with a huff as he made it to his wife's side.
White Lily threw out an attack before flinching at his presence, thinking he was an attacker before softening her gaze. She gestured for him to stay behind her and guard their backside as they moved forward to Cacao's location. About halfway there, she noticed that he was lagging behind her slightly, seemingly tired and exhausted.
"Vanilla are you ok? We can find somewhere to rest for a bit if you'd like?" She suggested with a reassuring smile, despite their current predicament. He immediately denied the suggestion, stating that they should just keep going now and that the was only a little tired. Lily knew damn well that he was lying straight to her face, but also knew that he wouldn't give in if she kept pestering him about it, so they adventured onward.
She knew the effects of one overexerting themselves, especially when it came to spell-casting over and over again without a break. She remembers how she used to do that back in the academy years back, both bothering to rest until she was satisfied or she face-planted on her desk in exhaustion. The healer having to, well you know, heal her back to health again. It wasn't a very pretty experience and she would never wish that on anyone. And with how rapidly he was healing others, helping multiple groups at once while having to heal her from time to time as well? Yeah, he was cooked.
Finally, the two reached the entrance of the Cacaoian Palace, quickly scurrying inside to avoid more damage. They both were greeted with the embrace of none other than Dark Cacao Cookie. It was a shocker to them sometimes, really. If you would have told their past selves that they both would be married to each other and the cold ancient king and that he was a very, very affectionate person, they would just look at you weird like u were crazy. But alas, expect the unexpected as they say.
Cacao let them go from his embrace, shining a small smile at his lovers before frowning as he examined Pure Vanilla a little more. The king noticed the shakiness that he had, along with how the healer swayed slightly as he stood, head hanging a tad bit as his long, blond locks fell in front of his face. He looked like he was in an exhausted daze, and Cacao didn't like it one bit.
"Pure Vanilla, my light...are you alright?" He asked carefully and quietly, not wanting to put the healer on edge. He watched as his husband huffed, mumbling something in his breath. White Lily and Dark Cacao both shared a nervous look, looking at each other, their husband, then back at each other. The king let out a heavy sigh before getting ready to ask again, but Pure Vanilla beat him to it as he held out his palm.
"I'm fine...."
"My light are yo-"
"I said i'm fine!" He barked uncharacteristically. Maybe it was the fogginess from the exhaustion messing with his head, or some other symptom of overexertion. But he didn't care as he shook his head, cursing under his breath about the fact that he shouldn't have done that, before turning towards the palace gates. "There's a whole fight out there....we...we should be out there helping out, not in here talking like everything's normal!"
Again, Cacao and Lily both shared that same nervous look, their guts telling them that something bad was defiantly going to happen, but both nodded as they walked into battle once again with their husband hoping and praying for their feeling to be wrong.
As they ascended onto the battlefield it seemed as if the enemy was using the last of its energy for a final blow. Targeting a large group that was needed, Pure Vanilla quickly made his way to the group, cursing at the fact that he felt his robe at the castle gates with how cold it was. He was only felt with a black turtleneck, pants and his cape as he fought against the harsh winds to help the injured group. He was so focused he didn't notice the burns and blisters that littered his hands from his excessive magic use.
He panted heavily as he reached the group of hurt soldiers, he took his time healing each and every one of them. Ignoring the multiple signs that he should rest from the burning sensation in his hands, to the harsh throbbing headache that he had that made it hard to focus. But he pushed on, because what's a little bit of pain for a healer?
Apparently, much to Pure Vanilla's displeasure, it was a lot for a healer. As soon as he finished healing the group he swayed, stumbling as he tried to get his footing. Then everything went black as he fell to the ground, fainting from exhaustion as he heard the loud yet muffled calls or his name by his lovers.
---------------
Pure Vanilla woke up with a groan, holding his head as it throbbed harshly from the sudden shine of light from the open window. He turned over, noticing how abnormally big the bed was. There was one person and one person only that he knew that owned such a large bed, Dark Cacao Cookie. The healer hesitantly looked up to his two lovers chatting with each other, worry laced in their faces making the healer feel even worse. He didn't exactly mean to pass out on the battlefield...
"Ah! P-Pure Vanilla, you're a-awake!" White Lily exclaimed as she rushed over to his side, almost tripping with how fast she sat up. The poor girl was worried out of her mind, and both Cacao and Vanilla could see it in the way she stuttered and shook. She caressed his cheek with a shaky hand before moving down to place a gentle hand on the bandages that wrapped around his hands, seemingly checking on them as they were already slightly red with his jam. How hadn't he noticed that earlier??
"Lily, my flower....I can assure you that I'm fi-"
"You're not!" They both exclaimed in unison, both having the shared concerned look on their faces. They both knew about the healers lack of self preservation, opting to be selfless in the worst of situations. They both could feel the guilt radiating off of their husband as they sighed, Dark Cacao climbing on the bed behind Pure Vanilla, while White Lily climbed onto the bed, straddling herself on the healer's lap as they both engulfed him in a sort of sandwich like hug.
Pure Vanilla let out a shaky breath as he tilted his head up, long blond locs spilling onto the dark king's shoulder. He bit his lip, using all his willpower and more to hold in his sobs as his lovers whispered sweet words and praises into his ears, laced with love and adoration.
"My light, you are an angel indeed..."
"Vanilla you mustn't injure your precious body like this.."
"I wish not to see you in pain my light..."
"My brave, kind, strong husband who's presence alone can light up a room..."
The both paused, the suspense killing him as he semi-paciently waited for them to continue. His heartbeat felt like it was going a mile a minuite as his anxiety rose praticaly every nanosecond they didnt speak. But finally, after what felt like forever they both said one thing simultainously, something that broke the healer into a fit of tears.
"We both CARE for you Vanilla, you can rest..."

Chapter 7: Festival Fireworks (Vagabel)
Chapter Text
Drums drummed, fireworks boomed and crackled in the sky, and laughter was heard everywhere you turned. That was the sound of one of the many festivals that the Yakgawa Village held for many different reasons. And this time around, Vagabond didn't have to experience this joy alone. Yeah sure he did have Okchun or Gim to drag around every once in a while but, nothing was better than getting to drag Rebel around the festive grounds. It was...different when it came to the outlaw, there was always an ache of longing in Vagabond's heart every time he watched the rebel leave to help another village. He admired him greatly, saving villages and helping innocent people back to back was no easy feat....one of the things that he loved about Rebel...it even made him feel selfish for practically begging him to stay for the festival
"Ya know...I'm really glad you could stay for the festival Rebel!" Vagabond exclaimed as he turned to smile at the outlaw, pure childish glee radiating off his face. God....he looked so fucking pretty to Rebel, from his bright eyes and large smile to the way his hips and feet bounced to the rhythm of the drums in the background, he was purely smitten for the taller. But he couldn't just stand there and stare at him, no matter how his brain was longing for him to do so.
"I-It's no biggie really, I wouldn't have wanted to miss the festival.." And you..Is what Rebel wanted to add on, but bit his tongue as he tried his best to conceal the throbbing of overwhelming emotions that felt around the wanderer no matter what the occasion was. It always happened every time he was around the other without fail, first he would get shaky and his hands would sweat, then came that god awful stutter that he got whenever he got nervous and lastly, he would turn red from everywhere possible. He thanked the gods that Vagabond, in all his glory, was oblivious as fuck when it came to the Rebel's crushing.
As they walked through the festival, stopping and admiring each and every stand that was set up for the event, they eventually made it to a more secluded area. This though....confused Rebel. Usually Vagabond would take and keep him in the festival grounds for hours and hours on end. Enjoying their time there without a care in the world but this...the atmosphere and vibe as he was being pulled away from the festival..it all felt different. Rebel decided to question it.
"Vaga, the festival's that way...you usually-" He was cut off as he bumped into the other when they stopped without a warning. He groaned as he rubbed his nose and looked around and man......the sight was wonderful. They were in one of the usual fields that Rebel would catch the wanderer sleeping in next to a large Kanzan Cherry tree that he would always be around when departing from the village. But still one question wracked his mind, why were they here in the first place. But before he could start speaking, Vagabond piped up, and Rebel gave him his full attention.
"Rebel..." Vagabond mumbled shakily as he averted his eyes from a shorter cookie. He was really going to do it...he was really gonna confess his love to Rebel. He's never felt this nervous in well, forever! it was a foreign feeling to the wanderer, being the upbeat and confident person he was. But with Rebel....with him...the outlaw just made him feel so many things that he never thought he would feel before with anyone, and he just couldn't keep those feelings to himself any more. So with a huff he ruffled his hair to ground himself and kept talking.
"Honestly Rebel I....you make me feel so many things that I never thought I would feel before. I sit here almost every day waiting when you leave..waiting for you to come back so I can see that handsome lopsided smile, those eyes that shine brighter than sapphires, your kindness and courageousness that can mend even the coldest of hearts..." He paused as he looked up to meet eyes with Rebel, noticing the furious blush that coated his face along with the shocked expression laced with awe, but not saying anything of it. It was now or never...
"What I'm trying to say to you is that...I love you Rebel, ever since the day we met my love for you has grown..." Vagabond cooed smiling softly at the other. Then suddenly, he was engulfed in a breath taking kiss as he heard the fireworks boom behind them...booming just like his heart at that moment.
Rebel's heart pounded in his chest as he kissed Vagabond passionately. He promised himself that he wouldn't stay for so long, he wouldn't fall in love again. But maybe, just maybe he could stay and enjoy the fireworks....just this once

Chapter Text
It was a sunny, beautiful day in the Vanilla Kingdom. The skies were clear, children were laughing and playing about and the streets were thriving with energy and brightness that Pure Vanilla loved. It brought joy to his day and brought him at peace to know that his kingdom was thriving once more, and that the people that lived there were happy and healthy. He sighed to himself as he laid in the lushous grass that thrived in his garden as he listened to the thrilled sounds that engulfed his senses, lulling him into a peaceful slumber.
He was awoken by the feeling of someone sitting next to him, turning his head to the side of where he heard the disturbance he noticed the faint smell of lilies...and in an instant he knew it was the love of his life, his darling flower, White Lily Cookie.
"My love, enjoying the nice weather I see?" White Lily teased as she sat down beside her lover, sitting on her knees as she admired the sights around them. Her eyes eventually fell on Pure Vanilla's long hair, the aftermath of him being "awakened" had made it longer than her own hair! It was all sprawled out on the grass underneath the Vanillian king, like an angelic halo from the heavens above. But in hindsight it was anything but a blessing....
White Lily had begun to notice how much Pure Vanilla struggled with maintaining his whole head of hair, and being blind didn't help the cause one bit. Maybe it was simply because he wasn't very accustomed to how long his hair truly was, but as the days went by he stopped tying it up or doing styles with it. But he never cut his hair, simply for personal reasons. White Lily sighed as she pondered on how to solve her lover's problem before piping up with a grin.
"May I braid your hair my love? It would help it from being all over the place.." She suggested with a hum, watching his face twist and turn in intense thought as he formed a response. Once he gave a quiet hum of approval and a sleepy nod she set to work helping him sit up and maneuver into her lap with ease. She had it so that they were sitting chest to chest with Pure Vanilla's head resting on White Lily's shoulder. It was quite the awkward position to braid someones hair in but she would make it work, she would always make it work for him.
So she set to work, threading her hands through his hair one strand at a time. Whispering soft and affectionate praises in his ears as she continued to style his hair, doing just one large braid to keep it simple for now. And also because he was falling back to sleep again, the sight making her heart swell. As she neared the end of the braid she couldn't help but notice the way his legs were locked around her waist and his arms loosely hugged around her torso as he snored softly. She swore she fell inlove again right then and there as his mumbled, half awake mumbled declarations of love left his lips.
Once White Lily finished tying the last strands of hair together as finished the braid she laid both of the down gently on the grass, laying Pure Vanilla's head on her chest as she rubbed soft circles on his back. Feeling the heavy grasp of sleep wisk her away she let her hand rest on his back, other one intertwined with his as she finally let herself rest. And maybe, just maybe they would meet eachother in their dreams.
