Co-godparenting a rebellious teenager with one's (maybe) ex is hard enough without also being tasked with teaching said child how to defend himself from mental incursions while the kid would rather be grappling with those new and exciting teenage feelings he's experiencing.

    Well, it's one of the many problems I do have with the 5th book - sorry, *every other gift* that Harry got by his godfather, and he *immediately ripped the package open...but a gift, where Sirius even mentioned: "This belonged once to your dad, and we were able to communicate with its help!" - and Harry isn't interested in it at all?         Agreed, because sneaking into Umbridge's office to talk with Sirius directly over the fireplace is certainly *not less risky!*
        And I do really dislike, that Harry didn't even consider to send Dobby to check on SIrius - as he didn't trust Snape, the elf would be the best way to check, without anyone any wiser...

        Gosh yes! Sure Harry's attempts to do things himself rather than asking for help (and assuming he can put himself at risk without that upsetting anyone) makes some sense with his past with the Dursleys, but I want to see him grow and develop enough to stop and think and ask for help!

        Especially, when you do know, that your closest friends would want to go with you...no matter the odds...
        Why didn't Ron pester him to open Sirius' gift?
        You can only top that with letting the lists with *all members* of the DA hanging the whole time in the Room of Requirement...you're just asking for trouble...and then giving Marietta a hard time, when she got questioned with the Veritaserum-Tea...nobody of them would be able to keep quiet...and it was Hermione, who didn't play fair with them...
        I want Harry to stop and tell certain order members: "Why do I have to do it? I'm just a teenager, who didn't even pass his OWLs, yet...shouldn't the *experienced adult order members* take care of those problems?

        Harry needs to be given (interesting and engaging) tasks to focus on/that will keep him occupied so he doesn't try to run off into danger (...if only he could devote all that excess time and energy into something sensible like a fandom, the Dark Lord would be quite insulted if he found out Harry cared more about his Star Wars AU than Voldy's plots and machinations..)!

        Agreed, he needs something, so that he can burn off those excessive energy, without courting danger all the time...sorry, kiddo - no parcours training for you, yet...
        Too bad that they can't sign him on for some Martial Arts classes...and should he do well, then either Sirius or Severus will teach him a new cool spell...as the teenager needs to increase his spell-repertoire...
        Or maybe they allow him to see certain movies at the cinema during the holidays, should he get good grades for his exams and homework assignments :)

Sev's flowery night dress was just (chef kiss). And the way he and Sirius bicker is always on point! I love their expressions, too, especially Sev's. This just made me laugh all the way through, I love it! ❤️

  Thank you! Life is been a bit busy as of late, so I haven't had quite enough time to make art as I would like, but though I move slowly I do plan to keep telling this story bit by bit and by comics and one-shots!
  I half think the flowery nightdress was one of Walburga's old nighties and Sirius initially thought it would be just so funny to make Snape wear but, alas, immediately gave himself ~complicated~ feelings about seeing Snape in his mum's underthings (Severus, thrifty as always, would insist that it is good quality fabric and the garment is in good condition and there is no need to make a fuss about hand-me-downs etc. etc.)

    I can see that happening, and it is brilliant! Lol Severus never struck me as someone who was very strict about gender norms. Necessity had him wearing his mother's clothes as a kid, so I doubt he'd see it as the shocking taboo that many people would.

There is so much I want to say about this whole series and how much joy it is bringing me during a trying time. The words are not really happening right now though, so instead I'm going to gush about all the details I love in this.
Chap 1. The shattering picture/memory fragments are done wonderfully! I really get a feel for how they're moving, if that makes sense for a static image? I like how there are the prominent, clearer memories alongside the more shaded ancillary thoughts that just really hit home for how brains can work. Everything is a tangent when you're not focused, right? And weaponized focus is what Harry's trying to learn. Also, Hermoine's buck teeth. Cho's expression. The Weasley Freckles. The bit of what might be Draco's hair hidden by the speech bubble. Love it all.
Chap 2. Your detail work is fantastic and it's so apparent how much love you put into this comic. The shelves full of titled books and fully stocked with jars. The woodgrain of everything! The pensive on the desk. The shading of Snape's robe! And Snape's hands! Again, there's motion implied so well and they look great. Hands are notorious.
Chap 3. So much here with facial expressions clearly indicating tone and breaking up the necessary text. The text itself - your handwriting is great and the banter between Harry and Snape is peak comedy. Especially the last panel cracking the fourth wall just enough to be aware of the comic nature without directly addressing the audience.
Chap 4. Again, the expressions are So Good. The intensity of the shading, the light touch of anime trope to emphasize emotional state. I think this panel has the text bubbles as actual characters, too. Like, they are just as intense and looming as Snape. It's a delight.
Chap 5. You do it again with posture and expression, you magnificent person, you. A shorter, transitory chapter. I paid note to Harry's hair here, realizing that the hatching was giving it even more of a sense of wild messiness. I probably should have seen that earlier, it's very clever.
Chap 6. The Pajamas. Bless. Again, having the characters slightly out of their own panels is a favorite sight gag and looks especially good with these two nerds.
Chap 7. Again, I note the hair. Three characters with black hair and each unique - messy, glossy, inky. The perspective is starting to shift around a bit, too, maybe to indicate the start of a more serious topic of conversation. Or to reflect that these two have more perspective/history with each other than Snape and Harry alone. Also, love Harry trying to be honest with his emotions there at the start. Bless.
Chap 8. The perspective is moving more than the characters and the atmosphere feels more weighted, if that makes sense? Even if the talk is a little silly, still humorous about their past. They're still having Adult Conversation and it reflects well in their body language. They are, comfortable? The argument is treading familiar territory to them? I'm reading too much into it? Could be all of it.
Chap 9. Getting back into the more jokey territory. Both of them have good points, we get more fun reveals about their group chemistry. We get hit with the sense of "And now look at us" that characterizes the depth of the tragedy they'd survived. They lived through a war. They can still laugh and tease at each other, but what they lost is always going to be just under the current.
Chap 10. Sirius handles the delivery perfectly - bringing up Lily's wishes, showing that he'd been actively learning about parenting, not shifting blame entirely on Snape, talking about compromise. He was able to assure Harry that Sirius wasn't just blowing him and his concerns off, that his ultimate agreement with Snape wasn't because he didn't think less of Harry or Harry's abilities. Visually, he is stunning as always and I'm always happy to see hairy chests being represented. The polka dot background is an excellent choice for conveying his resigned-but-firm tone.
So yes. Love your work. Thank you for sharing it with us <3

  I want to print this comment out and put it on my fridge so I can be utterly delighted by how much attention you gave to my comic and the little details! I am so glad my silly stories bring you joy, knowing that something I made brought joy to someone else really makes me happy!
  (it is about bedtime for me, so I might not 'word' well, but I just want to be delighted at your comment and make a reply too!)
  1- I hoped the fragments would be a good visual for Legilimency! I tried to make them look jagged and broken because Severus is "attempting to break into" Harry's mind. And, yes, that's Draco's hair hidden behind the speech bubble (Harry spends entirely too much time commenting on Draco's behavior to not have a least a little brain space permanently partitioned for the Malfoy-observation task)
  2- Wood grain is fun to doodle, it's a very loose motion, and I like to try to add silly titles to background objects for fun! Backgrounds are difficult, but I wanted to properly set the location and scene and Sev's office is a rather cluttered place with an unforgiving stone floor!
  3- I had fun figuring out the space allocation between Harry's panels and Snape's panels, the more worked up Harry gets the less space is left for Snape, he starts to reclaim space but when Harry shoves him into a tiny panel again he had no choice but to shove back!
  4- I dare say 90's-era anime is a pretty big influence on the visual language I tend to use! And placing text bubbles is fun too, particularly with weighty declarations hanging over Harry's head!
  5- Thank you! Harry (and James') wild messy untamed hair is fun to draw because it doesn't have to stay terribly consistent by dint of being wild and untamed! I think it would be quite hard for me to figure out where to stick highlights if I tried to shade their hair like Sirius' and if I did a flat black like Severus' hair that might hide some of the messiness
  6- I like to think the two way mirrors mean that Harry and Sirius can reach one another even if they're otherwise separated by distance and/or a panel gutter!
  7- Thank you for noticing the ways I tried to make their hair visually distinct (and maybe Harry isn't used to telling anyone he loves them because he didn't have much practice while at the Dursley house, but he's trying!). And, yes, I imagine Severus has gotten back from a rather torturous DE meeting and because he does have a history with Sirius, the post-meeting recovery is something Sirius will see but will be intentionally hidden from students like Harry (and probably Draco too).
  8- In this AU Sirius and Severus got married for the purposes of tax "evasion" (a single wizard had a much higher tax rate than a married one) and maybe money laundering (Severus won't explain as the statute of limitations might not yet be up) and also divorced and remarried multiple times (at least 83) for the purposes of scientific inquiry; but they are also both fully aware that they are not the other's most important person in the world (that would be James for Sirius and Lily for Severus) and sometimes it's less a grand romance than it is a matter of finding someone who's rough and broken edges fit well enough with one's own jagged edges to be comfortable and functional
  9- I love the idea of Severus "chaperoning" dates and getting free meals for it, James could absolutely afford to buy an extra meal! But, yes, they have tragedy behind them and, despite surviving one war, they're back in another war (maybe it is the same war still); and Harry has a prophecy hanging over his life that rather does suggest that they will not be able to protect Harry from the war
  10- I had fun with the dots! I used two layers to make a moire pattern and then cut out a halo around Sirius' head (he's got such long lovely locks, he can rock the saintly look!)- and I had fun giving Sirius a hairy chest, it was visually interesting!

  I think James attempts to mimic his story book ideal of "romantic dates" to Lily's amusement and Sees mockery- Sev's also there to voice Lily's opinions that might be a little too rude to bring up herself (but he's also acting as something like a 'hints' menu for James to modify his behavior in real-time)

  That is one way to read I suppose!
  For myself, in this AU I think Sev's probably nonbinary/agender but has never encountered the language to describe himself that way and has no major quarrel with being a man and using he/him- but he also has no quarrel with being considered a witch etc.- he just thinks gender roles/gendered clothing etc. are nuisances that everyone else only pretends to care about for some unfathomable reason.

  Thank you for checking my silly stuff out despite it being not your go-to ship!
  I am not super into romance etc. (especially if the narrative needs Severus and/or Sirius to be "nice" or "domesticated" or "a mature responsible adult who does not bite"), but I enjoy the narrative parallels between Sirius and Severus and making them co-parent a semi-rebellious teenaged chosen one as thrice (+) divorced not NOT-amiable exes is a recipe for shenanigans and disasters!

That was fun poor Harry but severus have a point and the last part yeah they're right even Sirius have to agree.
( And they we're lenient Sirius could have said that he have to have an oustanding in potion ( or history of magic or divination) but it's in his best subject that he have to get it
