"Okay, today's session is over,back to bed young lady-"
With the rest of the sentence lost to the void, The King of dokkabi, Lord of scenarios and servant to the Most ancient dream, finds his beloved creater in her natural habitat - bend over on her computer chair like a hobbit with her head in her arms, shaking like a crumbled piece of paper she often discards ("it's cathartic",she says."Not for me,I am the one who have to clean up after you"- the dokkabi can only sigh at her answering eyeroll.). A trail of alphabets gets left in the wake as she smushes her head onto the keyboard, along with an inhuman squeal that barely escapes her windpipe. Humans can do that? Fascinating.
"What is it?"
"What the fuck"
"What is what the fuck"
"He's so! He's so!-" She's pointing at something.What is she pointing at? Hah! He doesn't know! Why? Because this woman is guarding the screen like a bridge goblin with her crazy eyes and trembling lips and gesticulating hands.
She scares him sometimes, to be honest.
He tries to sooth her fur as she crumbles even further, now resembling a wet soppy stray cat. Patting always works right? That's what other humans do to their fellows when they feel the emotion they call sadness. Right?
Big mistake.
Instead of being consoled, she turns around and yanks his arm from its ball socket (where the hell would he find enough star dust to fix that?) and without a care for his divine wellbeing, continues to shout,
"HE'S SO STUPID BUT SO ADORABLE" she cries, the last word brokenly sobbed out like it's a wet ball rolling down the stairs.
Oh. So it's about the great one. Of course it's about the great one.
Curiosity getting the best of him, he extracts himself from her claws and leaves her to her -sorrow? elation? love? He cannot tell - and puts his glasses on.
Shit.Shit.Shit.
"You interacted with him?!?" Oh, this is bad..these two beings interacting with each other may result in unidentifiable repercussions in future. What should he do-
"Relax,will you? I am still the author of TWSA to him.Not Han sooyung, just an author." The bitterness leaking from her words were enough to placate him.His ire is nothing infront of her sorrow.
The goddess capable of creating universe with the blood of her pen.The being with the power and authority to decide millions and millions of fates.
Yet,when it comes to him, she's the most powerless being in existence.
If his dream is the most ancient, her sorrow is just as ancient.
" His most favourite author though. " She looked up at him in surprise,a rare raw vulnerability colouring her feline eyes. Then she averted her gaze, a shy, fond smile adorning her lips.
After a pregnant pause,she said, "I cannot believe he made ten accounts to support me."
He chuckled. She is right, that was too precious.
"And those usernames?! Reader123,Guwon..He's so cringe sometimes."
"That's a kid, he's allowed to be cringe."
"He's embarrassing even as an adult. Besides,I am not cringe as a kid!"
He looked at her over his glasses. "Your 'kid' self literally comments 'Cringe' under every chapter because she wants him to fight with her and when he finally did respond,she chickened out."
"....."
"That's what I thought."
"I don't have to sit here as you slander my good name,I am going to bed!" He watched in amusement as she heaved indignant puffs of breath and dragged herself to bed.
"PC."
"I KNOW." She didn't.
After hiding the evidence of her nocturnal activities,he watched as she made her way to her bed.As he watches her kicking her own poor blanket for the mere excuse of not properly covering her leg,a forgotten emotion of fondness bubbled in his non-existent heart.He cannot help but smile a little and help her blanket herself, smoothening out those little creases it made with a gentle hand.
"Do you think he'll like the next chapter?" She asked in a small voice.
With his eyes a benign stream,he replied,"He will, because it is yours."
