Work Text:
“I love you for you, and you of all people should know my mind can’t be changed.”
“You’re kinder to me than I deserve.”
“You deserve the world honey badger, stand up real quick.”
A look of confusion danced across Logan's face but did what he was told anyways. Wade pulled him into a hug whilst swaying and ‘The lady in red’ started playing on the speakers Wade stole forever ago.
“You never fail to make me smile bub.”
“That's my plan, I never want you to feel alone in this world. Not when we have our long eternity together.”
“I want that for you too.”
~ i’ll never forget the way you look tonight ~ sang Chris de Burgh, as Wade wiped the remaining tears from under Logan’s eye.
~ I've never seen so many people want to be there by your side
And when you turned to me and smiled, you took my breath away
I have never had such a feeling
Such a feeling of complete and utter love, as I do tonight ~
Dancing and swaying with each other in the middle of the living room, Logan occasionally being span around, they hugged into each other not wanting to let go of the others embrace.
“Let’s get you to bed Wolvie, you’ve had a long day.”
“Don’t leave me.”
“I’m right behind you, think i’d leave you alone now of all times goose?”
Leading the way, Logan rolled into bed and watched as Wade changed out of his Deadpool suit and into some unicorn themed shorts, a fashion choice he’ll never quite understand.
“Like what you see?” A wink followed by a kiss, Logan rolled his eyes.
“Just cuddle and go to sleep bub.”
“G’night sweet cheeks”

Sun shone through the window. Neither of them bothered to close the curtains last night. A natural wake up call Logan was used to through so many years of living in the wilderness back in his own world.
Turning around and staring at his big spoon, like he was trying to memorise the face before him, remembering last night and feeling so grateful for being brought to this world. He could never have imagined that this is the direction that his life would have taken.
Wade’s eyes opened to meet his and an instant smile spread across his face.
“G’morning pumpkin, you sleep okay?”
“No nightmares if that’s what you mean”
“Mostly yeah, I’m glad. Coffee?”
How does he have so much energy right after waking up.
Nodding, and watching him get up to put the kettle on, Logan followed so as not to be alone. Still feeling a tad fragile. Didn't want the chance of thoughts he didn't want to think coming out and attacking him, Wade made those thoughts disappear.
“Thought maybe we could go on a road trip round the city today, nothing too far, just a drive?”
“With what car exactly, we don’t have one”
“Thought you might say that, I had a text from Peter last night after you fell asleep,” A smirk crossed Wade’s face. “The dealership got a Honda Odyssey come through yesterday, I asked him to keep an eye out for one.”
“No reason in particular you wanted that exact type of car?” Logan rolled his eyes but a smile crept onto his face. “You wanna have a repeat of that time in the void huh.”
“You read my mind, just without the blood and the breaking of windows though, wanna keep this one looking nice.”

“Hey Sugar bear” Wade yelled across the parking lot, completely ignoring the fact Peter is with a customer. He holds up his hand in a wait-a-minute fashion.
Finishing up with his customer and directing them inside to another employee, Peter approached the pair.
“Hey guys, was wondering when you'd show up,” a smile was beaming across his face, always happy to see the pair. “I parked it round the back so no one else would see it.”
Wade walked ahead, unable to keep his cool and chattering to himself. Logan and Peter followed behind; Mary Puppins in Logan's arms.
“Ya know I'm so proud of Wade, you must be too, I remember when he was working here and you could tell he was so not himself,” Peter monologues. “I tried so many times to get him back out there, even kept a suit of his in my locker just in case. We're all so happy for you both, you've done what none of us managed to achieve.”
Logan nods in agreement, still unsure as to the level of friendship they have. They were Wade’s friends not his after all.
“You really are a good match, I'm not just saying that, he travelled to so many different universes and to think he came back with you out of all of them is incredible. He doesnt shut up about you and it’s so great to have him talking about someone like that again. Ya know you gave him his voice back, he’d been so uncharacteristically quiet and … it was weird.”
A small smile came across his face, it meant a lot hearing how much he had helped Wade over the past few months. Just as much as Wade had helped him too. They were both fixing each other's broken parts and knowing it was showing how far they had both come was comforting.
“We’re all proud of you too Logan, I know you feel like an outsider but it's not true. You fit into the group and it's like you’ve always been there. You should join Wade when he comes out for drinks with us, he doesn’t wanna push you past your comfort zone but I wanted to let you know we would all love to see you come out more.”
“I, maybe … Thank you, I don't know yet, but I'm grateful. Being here has been one hell of a ride but I'm happy it's been a ride shared with Wade, he's done more for me, and you guys have done more for me than anyone back in my universe.”
“I'm glad, you're a good guy Logan.”
“HEY!!” A shout from Wade came from round the corner.
