Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

Rage and pain.

Right at this very moment, these were all that Broly could feel, as his power burgeoned out of control, reaching greater heights, as he battled against the shorter, blue-haired man.

It was not going well for him. Even in his haze of fury, where all he could do was scream and fight, with a mind almost completely blank, the Saiyan that had been raised on the hostile planet Vampa knew this.

The blue-haired man never lost his smirk, as he fought him, casually dodging, blocking and deflecting any attack he threw, whether that be his physical ones, or one of his myriad of energy-based ones, either up-close or at range.

He was being toyed with, as the blue-haired man struck back, landing with every shot he threw, unlike him. His blows hammering into his massive frame, battering and bruising his flesh and bones, forcing yet more agony through him, and already submerged in his wrath, this only infuriated the Saiyan even more.

“RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!” Broly roared in defiance, fists clenched by his sides and knees bent, emerald energy flaring off of his enormous, muscular frame like a wildfire, as he powered up. The will to fight was far from gone, as he glared down at the blue-haired man, before firing off toward him with the intent to destroy.

The blue-haired man responded, leaping into the air as he flew towards him, and delivering a kick that Broly tried to block with his massive arms, but the force was simply too great, knocking them away and leaving him vulnerable for the follow-up roundhouse that smashed into his chest. The blow sending him flying back with a grunt of pain, before he righted himself and charged an energy blast, before blasting a massive beam of destruction towards his adversary.

Yet again, the blue-haired man dodged it, and did so effortlessly with a side-step, before twirling his way around his attack through flight. His body lit up by a bright blue glow, just like his hair, as he crashed his fist into his face. The blow disorienting him and ending his own blast attack, as he was sent back reeling, but the man was far from done with Broly, for as Broly was pushed back in the air, the man landed one clubbing blow after another. Punches and kicks raining down on his face and torso that were like molten-hot agony to his flesh and bones.

Broly, with another roar of pained rage, managed to fire off a counter attack, as he was launched further away again, sending dozens of energy blasts toward his foe, in both an attempt to strike him down, as much as ward him off. The blue-haired man just kept coming though, reengaging with him in close-quarters, as Broly tried to crush him with a punch, only to be evaded and swiftly countered with a devastated punch to the gut, which sent half the man’s arm into his caving abdomen. The Saiyan barely heard his own scream of pain, as he felt some of his ribs give in and break, before the blue-haired man viciously followed that up with several punches and chops to his chest and head, cracking yet more bones in the process.

They separated again, when Broly, even in his rage, managed to time him and throw a punch charged with his Ki for the man’s face, but he reacted just in time, hopping back and away, before he made a flourish, blazing his own azure-blue energy around him and charging forth once more.

Shrieking his lungs out, Broly met him this time, throwing a downward punch to meet the elbow strike coming his way, the force of which briefly pushed them both back, after contact, and causing a major shockwave to billow out, along with a pillar of clashing green and blue that soared to the heavens. One that eviscerated the ground beneath them and sent massive chunks of icy ground flying high and far through the air, while causing magma to burst forth in abundance, as the tundra was forever altered into what one might call a hellscape.

The blue-haired man recovered far faster than Broly did from this clash, and was right back on him. Laying into him with a combination of strikes too fast for the larger Saiyan to even comprehend this time, rattling and further breaking the bones in his skeleton without mercy, as he launched him back again and again with the power behind each.

The blue-haired man ended it off with a gut punch that shattered what remained of his ribs, sending a mighty flare of torment through Broly, but that was nothing compared to what happened next. Because as he was pushed back and into the air, the blue-haired man entered a stance, arms criss-crossing with fists clenched, as blue energy swirled around him and Broly, before with a mighty roar of his own, he sent his arms toward the sky. His Ki blazing as it responded, forming a huge pillar of raw, destructive might around Broly’s raised form, lending no room for escape, as its heat and strength bared down on him from all angles. The screech of the attack drowned out Broly’s own screams of agony, as it felt like every molecule of his body was being incinerated.

An explosion then rang out no less than a moment later, sending up a mushroom cloud that pierced the heavens themselves and sent yet more debris around them flying away, as Broly was consumed within it. The Saiyan somehow surviving whatever that attack was, but barely, as he fell to the ground, miraculously on his feet.

Even keeping himself standing, at this point, was a challenge, however, as the large Saiyan stumbled, on the verge of falling over. His super-sized, transformed state waning enough, from all the damage suffered, that clarity began to return to him. His eyes, previously blank and pure white, a sign of how badly his anger had swallowed him, now had the irises and pupils of his prior Wrath state come back, as some of the haze lifted.

And it lifted just in time, for him to see his foe a good few meters away from him, knees bent and hands by his side in a stance, as a bright, blue ball of energy coalesced between his palms. Rays of azure spreading out from it, as his enemy charged up his attack. He was chanting something as well, as everything around him lit up like a star, but Broly couldn’t hear it.

All he could hear, was the pop and screech of the wind, as his enemy thrust their hands out, and suddenly, that ball morphed into a terrifying beam of energy that only got wider and wider the further out it got, and closer it got to him, threatening to engulf him and reduce him to ashes.

One last scream found its way through his throat, as he saw its fast approach. One of mostly fear, as impending doom crossed him.

Away from the battle, having seen enough of this and summoned the eternal dragon Shenron with Lemo’s help, and then gotten what she needed from Frieza’s lackey, Cheelai screamed out her wish, not wanting to see the Saiyan she’d come to care for perish like this.

“Please! Save Broly and send him away from here!” She cried, too distraught to think through the wording of her wish.

Shenron’s eyes glowed all the same, as he used his power to grant it, and unseen by the vision of everyone at the time, what with the Kamehameha wave being too bright, Broly’s form suddenly vanished, at the last second, before he was consumed by Gogeta’s attack.

Meanwhile… elsewhere…

Ugghh… What… happened…?

This was the predominant thought of Broly, as his consciousness soon snapped back to him what seemed like moments later, and all he could see was darkness around him.

He didn’t know what was happening, now. Where was he? He knew he’d been fighting the blue-haired man who looked similar to the other two Saiyans he was fighting before. The man’s voice also sounded like the two men speaking at the same time.

His rage was gone completely now, snuffed out by an unseen force, and with it no longer clouding his judgment, Broly knew he had lost that fight the moment the man started hitting him harder than he had ever been hit in his life, let alone when he’d started charging that beam which Broly knew would’ve kill him the moment it landed.

That should’ve been where he met his end, for there had been no way out, and he was too beaten up and off-balance to avoid such an attack from finishing him off, but then suddenly, he felt himself become weightless, the sensation of floating into the air tickling his senses, and saw a golden light around him. He could then feel himself vanishing from the space he’d occupied, to wherever he was now.

Was this Cheelai’s doing? He had heard her voice, just before this, but maybe that was just coincidence. It was hard to say, for he hadn’t really been paying attention to anything other than the blue-haired man.

He tried to think back further, but that was all he could remember. He remembered the fight, the beam, and then felt himself fly into the air. After that, he didn’t remember anything else, other than perhaps the sky darkening around them, though he knew not why.

He tried to open his eyes, then, feeling as though he wouldn’t get anywhere else with his thoughts on what’d happened, and wanting to see where exactly he’d ended up, but they felt glued shut. He tried moving his hands or toes right after, but they didn’t move an inch. All he could do was lie in the darkness and wait. Something which should’ve made him panic a little, but surprisingly, he felt oddly calm. Perhaps because his body realized that death no longer was approaching him, and whilst he felt constricted, he didn’t feel like he was in any danger.

So, with nothing else to do, Broly chose to wait. He wasn’t sure how long he did, but eventually, his patience was rewarded, as suddenly he heard a voice.

“What if we add this?” The distinctly male-sounding voice asked.

He then heard another elegant voice, this one feminine, reply, “No Lucifer, the basic foundation is already complete. Now all I have to do is give both the man and woman form with the breath of life and then the clay should start to change into the first humans.”

Broly could hear another stern, male voice say, “Lucifer, we have already told you your job is to create the stars for the night sky. We already handed out jobs for every angel to handle and nearly all of creation is done. Now all that is left for now is to handle creating the Lord and Lady of Eden.”

“Yeah, now stop slowing the show down, Luci, I want to see how the humans turn out.” A compassionate female voice shouted.

After a few seconds, Broly could hear someone take a deep breath and breathe out. He felt the breath right in front of his face and suddenly saw a bright light forming in the darkness. He could see it getting brighter and brighter until he felt blinded by it, even with his eyes shut. He could feel a strange energy swirling around him.

It felt more powerful than anything he had ever felt before. He could sense the energy coming into him and giving him more…life. He felt stronger than he had felt before. He could feel air coming into his lungs and could feel everything coming into being around him.

He finally managed to open his eyes, then. Broly looked around and could see nothing but lush forest. He could see animals he had never seen before wandering through the forest and could smell all kinds of food coming from the trees and ground. He was in shock.

He was in awe looking at such things until he heard a gasp behind him.

He turned to look and saw what looked to be…a man with red things on his cheeks. He believed he may have heard the name of such a thing before. A clown. Yes a clown, Broly remembers Frieza used that term a lot to describe how he felt about the Saiyan he was fighting.

Broly tightened his fists when he remembered Freiza. He felt nothing but contempt for the small thing.

He could only chuckle as he now remembered beating Freiza up for what seemed like forever. He heard the being in front of him gasp once more as he did so.

He could hear the being say, “Sera, look, he laughed! But my gosh, he is…tall. Did you guys know that he would be this tall and…muscled?”

Broly could see this being turned around to address what looked like a huge crowd of different beings looking at him. They were magnificent and exuded a..holy aura. They reminded him of that blue-skinned man he fought but was unable to even land a blow on. But the aura they excluded was even more holy than that man’s. They were covered in it as if they were nothing but holy energy alone.

He could see the many different figures. Some looked like beings he had seen before, just white and covered in robes. Some were wheels with eyes on them. Others had multiple eyes covering their whole body.

Then there were the two who stood in the front. The first is a dark-skinned, tall woman. Taller than him. She had white dots on her cheeks and hair as white as the snow he saw in the Arctic, falling down her back and curling a lot. He looked to her left and saw a man.

He looked a lot like the clown that was in front of him, but Broly could feel that this man was hiding much more power than the clown. He looked closer at the man. He could see that the man was as white as the clown and also had blonde hair. He was, however, taller. He had golden marks from the bottom of his eyes going down his cheeks, he seemed more muscular, and his stance gave off one of pure confidence and leadership.

Broly heard the tall woman respond to the thing the clown said. That meant that she was Sera. He stayed silent to listen to her say something to the clown.

Sera said, “Lucifer, we've been over this multiple times, we had no idea how the humans would turn out.”

Sera's voice for some reason put him at peace. He could feel the grace coming from her speaking. He felt nothing but tranquility when he listened to her. He only used to feel this way with…his father.

The man standing next to her started to speak. “Come now, sister. You can’t blame Lucifer for his shock. Looking at our brethren, you can see they’re also in awe of how majestic the First Man turned out. I mean, take a look at Jophiel.”

Broly watched all the figures turn to look at a blond-haired figure. She was looking at him with hearts in her eyes, Broly could even see a little bit of drool going down her chin, he blushed as he felt her passionate stare on his body. He even felt himself move behind the figure of Sera.

He looked past her shoulder to see a whole crowd of angels, looking at him, and all he could hear them do, was whispering among themselves.

“I had no idea he would be so tall!”

“And look at those muscles!”

“He has such an innocent look in his eyes…”

“Do you think he is strong?”

Broly had never had so many people looking at him at once. All he could do was look down at his feet in nervousness as he felt their intense stares.

Sera clapped her hands once and instantly the angels went silent. She looked at him with a motherly face and said, “Hello, young one. It is nice to meet you. We are the angels of Heaven. We helped bring you to life here as part of the plan of God. You are the first human man meant to lead humanity alongside your wife who is currently being created. Your name is Adam. Do you have any questions, young one?”

Broly…or Adam he guessed, looked toward her and asked, “What is this place? What do you mean wife?”

Sera smiled as she answered. “This place is known as the Garden of Eden. You will be able to live here in paradise to prepare yourself for the rest of the Earth. You’ll also be able to name all the animals by the names of your picking. Speaking of your wife, here she comes now.”

He looked to where Sera pointed and saw a beautiful woman walking past the trees with some more angels.

Her beauty was something else. Her athletic body, the regal purple eyes, her hair, everything about her was amazing to look at. He could feel himself blushing and he also felt something else below starting to feel the wind brush him. Wait… wind brushing him?

He looked down and saw he was naked, yet he didn’t feel any shame? He looked on in curiosity, wondering why he didn’t feel the shame his father taught him about being naked out in the open, but he heard Sera continue to speak to him.

He quickly looked back up to listen to her say, “Now then Adam, this lovely woman is your wife, Lilith, and you are her husband. You two are now the progenitors of humanity. Your job as I said earlier is to be guardians of the Garden of Eden, to be fruitful and multiply, and name all the plants, animals, and more of the Earth. You also have to follow the one rule that we have set. You can eat of any tree in the Garden, but do not touch that tree.”

Both Broly and Lilith looked to where Sera was pointing to see a normal tree bearing fruit. But Broly could sense something was off about that tree. It felt like Frieza's aura, but more concentrated. It felt more dark and evil. He knew instantly why Sera was telling them to not touch that tree. It just felt wrong to him.

Sera continued to speak. “That is the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil. Do not touch that tree or its fruit for you will surely die if you do. Other than that, I hope you two enjoy the paradise of the Garden.”

Broly could see Lucifer, the short clown one, looking a little annoyed when Sera gave him and Lilith the rule. His instincts told him to keep an eye out for the little clown.

Sera then said to him and Lilith. “Now then you two, it is time for the angels to go handle the rest of creation and finish laying the rest of the foundations. Come along, everyone. You too, Lucifer!”

Both Broly and Lilith watched as the angels flew to the skies and vanished into the heavens. They both stood there silently till Broly felt a finger poking his chest. He looked down to see Lilith poking his muscles.

Lilith looked back up at him and said. “They’re very defined. I’ll have to do more looking and touching later. Anyways, it is nice to meet you, Adam. I’m Lilith.”

Lilith put her hand out to shake and Broly looked at her nervously as he put his hand out and gently grasped it.

As Broly shook her hand, she suddenly went flying up and down as he shook her hand. He panicked a little then, as he quickly stopped shaking her hand and put her down on her feet. He could see her looking around dizzily as she took a breath from her small flight.

“A-Ah! Sorry about that! I didn’t mean to do that to you. Forgive me.” Broly found himself apologizing with a slightly nervous expression, not forgetting the manners his father had instilled into him, when he was meant to be interacting with someone, which was mostly him.

The very pretty woman quickly shook off the dizziness from the unintended shakedown, however. Her long, golden hair swaying in the wind, right by her feet, in a way that was strangely hypnotic to Broly, as she laughed at his worried look. “It’s alright. I’m fine.” She told him, before a sultry smile then graced her lips. “I must say though, I’m very glad to see your body isn’t just for show, dear husband.”

She then stepped to his side, their heights matching, as she placed a hand on his shoulder while leaning against him. One of the mounds on her chest, which he believed his father had called breasts, squishing against his arm, stunning him with just how soft and tender it felt.

“Now shall we get to business in this little Garden, husband?” She asked him, her breath tickling his ear in a way that oddly had him feeling a bit warmer.

Taking a quick glance around at the ecstatic beauty of the forest around them, which had him in awe, while feeling the presence of his new ‘wife’ by his side, Broly found it impossible to refuse her, as the two began walking within what would be their new home.
