Summary:

The end of the war meant a new era of peace and unity across Faerûn, which meant that there was no need for them to travel together as a party. Despite that life goes on, even with Relic’s gradual confusion on his next foot forward.

 

Or, the six times Relic seeks out their friends after the final battle against Imrynth, and the one time he is found.

Chapter 1: Ah, The Night Sky is Starting to Fade, (The Sun is Starting to Rise, Softly)

It started not too long after the war.

The three months given to their party passed by in a blur to Relic. That time had been allotted for the six of them to recover from their injuries after the monumental battle, and for Relic, this equated to his entire body being reassembled to top condition. Although he knew that the process was integral for a proper recovery, Relic mourned the times they were unable to see their companions in their own processes of healing. The more Relic stewed in his own complaints, the more he began to spiral into his web of thoughts, specifically regarding the party they had deeply grown to care for.

The end of Imrynth’s control over the Storm Giants was a moment of great accomplishment, no doubt, however, it also represented the end of the party’s travels. Relic could vividly recall the utter feeling of relief knowing that their battle had ended, that everyone was safe.

They would no longer have to face foes who’s shadows towered over their own, fighting in battles that should have been impossible to win. They wouldn’t need to infiltrate unknown territories, just to fight to see another day. Most importantly, they no longer had to put their lives on the line for the sake of their own.

The last realization broke Relics train of thought, if only for a moment as a frown began to etch onto his robotic features. Memories of the last battle went by on loop -
