Work Text:
Edwin wasn’t surprised when he woke first. Charles always liked to sleep in, Edwin was always up early. He looked passed his, well, he wasn’t really sure what they were after last night, there hadn’t been much talking. He looked past Charles to see his phone on his bedside table. Edwin didn’t want to move and risk waking the other up, he wasn’t quite ready to let go of this, should it turn out Charles regretted their actions in the light of day. However, his phone had an alarm set. So either he’d have to reach for his phone, risk jostling Charles awake, and have the moment potentially ruined, or the alarm would go off and definitely wake Charles up in not too long. So Edwin braced himself. Carefully, very carefully, he leaned over the other man, stretching for the device. Only to freeze when an arm wrapped around him, a hand planting firmly on his rear. His bedmate gave a contented hum.
“Trying to seduce me so early in the morning?” Charles murmured drowsily. “I like this new wake up call. Very efficient.” He dragged Edwin down with his other arm, rolling them over so Edwin was beneath him. “Had anything specific in mind?”
“I did have turning off my alarm before it woke you in mind,” Edwin admitted, pleased that Charles wasn’t panicking, or awkward, or laughing last night off. “However, this direction of action definitely merits consideration.”
Charles glanced over at the offending device, then grabbed it. He held it up to Edwin’s face so it unlocked, then turned off the alarm and promptly placed it back on the bedside table. “There, no disturbing us now,” he grinned.
“Except, perhaps, our morning breaths?” Edwin suggested, wrinkling his nose.
“Mm, I can think of something that won’t be hindered by morning breath, Charles grinned wickedly, before disappearing under the sheets.
Edwin gulped, grabbing at Charles’ curls and giving a loud moan as the other wrapped his lips around him. He almost, almost let Charles go ahead with his plan, but, hating himself, he had to know. “What is this? What are we?”
Charles stopped bobbing his head instantly, and Edwin almost cursed himself out loud as that wonderful mouth left him. Shuffling back up so he was level with Edwin’s chest, Charles pushed the sheets off of his head, looking nervous, even a bit scared. “Well, I was thinking, boyfriends? If you’re okay with that? I mean, we haven’t gone out on any dates or anything, yet, and I haven’t got you flowers or nothing, but yeah. Figured after last night we were going steady?”
A huge smile broke across Edwin’s face at those words. He nudged Charles up so they were completely face to face. “There is nothing I want more.”
“Good.” Charles kissed Edwin firmly on the mouth. “So, should I continue, or…?”
With a laugh, Edwin placed a hand on the top of Charles’ head and pushed him down, his boyfriend going with a teasing smirk.
