"You're a fantastic host as always Nana-chan! I always know I'll be well taken care of when you're around," Teddie said as he held his tea cup in hand.
"Hehe! And it's always so fun to have you around too Teddie!" The little girl smiled and said as she placed the tea pot down back on the kotatsu the two of them sat at.
Besides her big bro of course, Teddie was her best friend. He was always so energetic and happy that it was always a joy to spend time with him, so she liked to make the most of it whenever he stopped by.
"You two seem like you're both having a lot of fun," Yu commented as he walked into the living room where the two of them sat, "What have you two been up too?"
If he could've heard their laughter and chatter with one another all the way from his room, then they must've been having an exciting time together.
"We're having a tea party!" Teddie told him. Nanako had not only preferred some wonderful tea, but she had also served a bunch of delicious treats as well!
"Yeah, you should join us Big Bro! Having you play with us is fun!" Nanako said. She was having plenty of funny hanging out with Teddie, but if her big Bro joined them too then she was sure to have even more fun if her two favorite people were there.
"Well, I do have homework, but I think I can make some time and play for a bit," Yu said as he walked over and sat down at the kotatsu with them. Homework could always wait, making sure Nanako was happy was always his priority.
"Yay! This is awesome!" Nanako celebrated, "I'll make sure to fetch you a cup and some tea so you can join us!"
The little girl got out one of the spare tea cups from her tea set and set it in front of Yu, before once again picking up the tea pot and tilting it so it would pour out some of its contents into Yu's tea cup.
"Ah, it seems we're out of tea," she sadly remarked once she saw no tea actually pouring of the tea pot.
"That's fine," Yu told her, "I can just pretend that there is tea there." It really wasn't that big of a deal.
"But it's not really a tea party if we don't have any tea isn't it?" She pointed out. How could she even call herself a good host if she couldn't provide something as simple as that to all her guests?
Seeing how worried the other girl was about it, Yu suggested, "Then what about we do something else fun together instead?"
The three of them were smart, so he was sure that if they all put their heads together, then they definitely could come up with plenty of other things they could do to pass the time together.
"Something else for us all to do together that's fun...?" The little girl thought over the idea for a moment. A change of pace certainly would help keep things exciting and it also would fix their problem concerning their lack of tea for a tea party.
"Ooo! Ooo! What about we play house? I always love to play house!" Teddie excitedly shouted. Getting to roleplay was always so much fun!
"House! Yeah! Playing house with Big Bro and you would be awesome!" Nanako agreed. Teddie really was smart for coming up with a fantastic idea like that.
"But role should we have everyone play then?" The young girl wondered aloud. There were so many decisions to consider.
"I can play the role of Sensei's wife!" Teddie grabbed onto the other boy's arm and suggested. It would be good practice for when the two of them got married one day.
"Wife...?" Yu repeated with a light blush on his face. He didn't hate the idea, but still it was kind of embarrassing.
"That's perfect! If you and Big Bro got married, then we'd all be family!" Nanako realized with a smile on her face. The two of her favorite people finding happiness with each other, she couldn't think of anything better than that!
"Becoming family with Sensei and Nana-Chan I couldn't think of anything better than that," Teddie put a hand to his chest and said with a happy expression on his face.
Seeing how enthusiastic the other two were about the idea, Yu played along and said, "Then I guess it's settled it then, I'll play the role of Teddie's husband."
Even though he knew it was just for pretend, he still couldn't help, but get flustered every time Teddie called him his wife or he referred to himself as his husband.
"But what will you be Nanako?" Yu asked. It seemed that Teddie's and his roles of wife and husband had been decided, but what was Nanako going pretend to be while they played house together?
"I'll be...." Nanako thought over and decided, "The villain that's trying to break into your home and your wife and the pizza you two are about to have together for dinner from you!"
"How unexpected..." Yu hadn't expected Nanako to be playing the role of antagonist especially one with as dastardly motives as those.
"Every good story needs a villain, remember to protect me and our pizza from her Sensei!" Teddie dramatically clutched onto the other boy and said. If anyone was going protect him, it was going be his epic husband!
"I'll do my best too," Yu said as he took a defensive stance. If a fight was what Nanako wanted he was going, go out on the defensive. This was what all his training against shadows was for after all.
A smile appeared on Nanako's face before she rushed over and began to play fight with Yu and Teddie.
The three of them had been an expert in each of their roles, Teddie playing the beautiful damsel in distress, Yu the hero of the story doing whatever he could to defend Teddie and their delicious pizza they had been planning on eating together, and Nanako the villain that threatened to thwart that all. With how well they played along together and how easily they got into their roles the three of ended up having such a blast together that they ended up all passing out on the couch together from how much energy they all exerted.
"Spending all the time with you Big Bro and Teddie like that was so much fun," Nanako said barely half awake as she leaned against Yu's arm to keep herself semi-propped up, "I wished we could hang out like this all the time."
If every day could be like this, then she was sure she would never feel bored again.
"It would be nice," Yu remarked. Having Teddie around was always fun and he did always make Nanako happy when she saw him.
"Yeah, I would love spending every moment I could with you and Sensei!" Teddie also agreed. The two of them were some of favorite people in the world, so if he could always spend time with them then he was sure life would feel like a dream!
"I know it was just for pretend, but you two really did look really happy as a married couple together," Nanako spoke up and admitted.
They had complemented each other so well when they interacted with each other, that sometimes she forgot that they were just acting that way because they were playing house together. With how Teddie seemed to look at her Big Bro with such adoration in his eyes in whatever he did and how Yu was always sure to give a gentle smile to the other boy in return no matter what happened, their relationship to one another had felt so real and genuine that it seemed like it would be a waste for that all to end once they finished playing together.
"Teddie you're always happy with everyone, but you always look especially happy when you're with my Big Bro and I think Teddie brings out the best in you too Big Bro with how much of your secret playful nature he brings out of you, so if the two of you ever really did get married it would make me really happy," was the last thing Nanako confessed before she finally passed out from exhaustion on the couch.
Nanako had fallen asleep, so Yu knew he didn't need to actually entertain her idea. She might've even forgotten all about it by the time she got up, but still he couldn't help but ask, "Hey Teddie, do you want to get married to me?"
"Yes! Yes! A thousand times yes Sensei!" Teddie shouted as he clutched onto the other boy's arm once more, "Nothing would make me a happy bear than that!"
His heart skipped a beat when he saw how cute Teddie's reaction was. Oh, he got it now he wasn't just flustered earlier when Teddie had called him his wife because he had found it embarrassing, but it was actually because he had secretly found it very cute but just hadn't realized it yet.
It was kind of funny honestly, he couldn't believe that Nanako had realized that Teddie was his type before he did, but maybe that wasn't a bad thing though because she had been a great wing woman about it. Yeah, it was clear that Nanako had good choice in partners for him, I mean Teddie was a pretty adorable guy after all, so there was no way he wouldn't be happy being with him.
