The Astral Express crew were walking down the streets of New York, gawking at every sight they saw. They were planning to just take a short walk, to explore the city and perhaps take some pictures to show Pom-Pom, but then March paused, staring at a certain shop with wide eyes. A Hot Topic…March immediately turned to the group, throwing her hands up in the air. “We should go to Hot Topic! Right here right now!” She suggested with a sublime smile. Himeko looked towards the store—Welt’s gaze following—with a soft chuckle. Nobody spoke for a few seconds until Dan Heng broke the silence.
“A hot what now?” He asked, seemingly confused. March let out a laugh as Caelus seemed a tad confused too. March’s laugh died down as she explained what this store was.
“Hot Topic is a store where you buy cute stuff! What? Is it not in your data bank?” She teased, a smug smile on her face. Dan Heng groaned at her attitude before Himeko spoke up with a soft smile. “Why don’t we go? It’ll be fun.” Caelus shrugged, fine with the idea. Welt seemed hesitant, not wanting to leave Pom-Pom alone for too long, but then pondered the idea and agreed. Pom-Pom would be fine! Maybe. Dan Heng was also reluctant, but he agreed. They all walked in—March running in—and saw clothes hanging on racks while some were neatly folded and were placed on shelves. Some of them were based on shows or anime, while some were based on bands or singers. There were My Chemical Romance shirts, Nirvana, Melaine Martinez, you name it! There were also cute figurines, and jewelry that any bling loving girl would eat up. Now Dan Heng understood why March was obsessed with this store. It kinda matched her aesthetic. “Caelus, look! It’s a racoon shirt! It kinda looks like you.” March pointed out as Caelus examined the shirt.
“Y’know what? It does.” He agreed, snatching the shirt as he stuffed it in the bag they brought in case something came up. Dan Heng just walked around mindlessly. He didn’t really want to buy anything, and nothing really caught his eye. Sure, there were some cute and…what would March call it? Preppy and grunge stuff. But he didn’t like any of it. Himeko attempted to strike up a conversation with him, but Dan Heng just responded with quiet hums and a nod of his head. Welt was also mindlessly looking around. Nothing really caught his eye or scratched his grandpa brain in a good way. Perhaps some 90’s band shirt would be a good purchase. As everyone was looking around, March throwing random shit in her bag, a trio decided to also go to this store.

Kafka, Blade, and Silver Wolf were all walking down the street, determined to go to a restaurant and have a filling meal. Sadly, just like the Astral Express crew, Kafka got distracted. A Hot Topic..? She could perhaps find some expensive and absolutely breathtaking jackets. “Bladie, Bronie…Why don’t we take a quick detour?” She suggested, being oddly vague.
“Where?” Silver Wolf asked, raising a brow.
“To the Hot Topic, of course.” She answered. Blade looked absolutely revolted. No way was he going to go to a stupid Hot Topic! Kafka immediately saw the look on Blade’s face and frowned before looking up at him with a smug smile.
“I heard there’s My Chemical Romance shirts—“ Kafka started, before rudely getting interrupted.
“I wasn’t aware. Let’s go.” He quickly said, dashing into the store. Although he had a dream of dying, he would die much more happily with a stash of MCR merch. Mostly shirts. Kafka and Silver Wolf knew of this. Silver Wolf looked up from her phone that was playing something related to Skibidi Toilet or whatever brain rot she indulged in. “You did that on purpose, didn’t you?” Kafka looked at her with a sly grin, silently nodding her head as she followed behind Blade, walking into the store. She saw Blade yanking all the emo band shirts. Silver Wolf couldn’t care less about this store as she chewed on some gum, watching her brain rot. Kafka immediately went to the clothes, looking through the jackets. Someone bumped into her, immediately apologizing. “I’m so sorry, I—Kafka?!”

March went to run to the section filled with jewelry after she stuffed her bag with cute shorts and adorable Sanrio figurines. On her way to grab some jewelry, she bumped in someone, almost dropping her bag. “I’m so sorry, I—Kafka?!” She exclaimed, putting a hand over her mouth in a dramatic manner. Kafka chuckled, looking at March with her usual expression.
“It’s fine, dear.” She said in a sultry tone. March looked around, seemingly trying to spot the other Stellaron Hunters. She saw Blade where the band shirts were, but couldn’t exactly spot Silver Wolf who was just chilling. March said a quick bye to Kafka before continuing her shopping. The purple haired woman let out a quiet laugh, putting a hand over her mouth. Dan Heng was mindlessly wandering around before spotting Blade. Of five people, three must pay a price. That’s immediately what he thought. What was this emo wannabe doing here?! Blade spotted Dan Heng, his gaze shifting to the shorter man. They were both silent. “Why are you here?” Dan Heng wearily spoke up, hesitant to converse with the man in front of him. Blade shrugged.
“ ‘S none of your business.” He replied simply, hastily walking away. The cold man did not want Dan Heng to realize that he’s a fan of MCR. He would never hear the end of it. Dan Heng looked confused, but let out a sigh of relief. That interaction wasn’t as bad as he thought it would be. Caelus had left the store with Welt, the racoon-like man digging through the trash cans as Welt watched with a rather disappointed look. Himeko, and March went to purchase their items. What March bought was fairly expensive, but she always seemed to pull money out of nowhere. She paid for her items, and Himeko followed. Dan Heng quietly walked behind them, quickly purchasing a pair of eye-catching earrings that he wanted as he then left. The Stellaron Hunters went to go purchase their items, too. Blade had his scanned and after seeing the price…they knew they were gonna be in debt.
