Summary
“Don’t give me that look,” Jinx says abruptly, and Vi nearly startles— but Jinx is still looking at the kid, Isha, all but turned away from Vi herself. “Did I teach you how to be greedy?”
Isha frowns, and she peeks around Jinx’s frame to peer at Vi. For a moment, Vi stares almost stupidly at a pair of wide brown eyes, before the girl draws her lips and turns back to Jinx, gesturing vaguely in Vi’s direction.
“Oh, is that so?” Jinx snorts, shaking her head with a wrinkle of her nose so familiar Vi exhales sharply to keep herself quiet. “Traitor. Fine, fine, but get me one too, okay?”
Isha smiles, and she stands clumsily, tipping her hat with shy eyes at Vi before she darts off, easily disappearing in the chaos of the commune.
