Summary:

"Bastard Munchen," Ego said, "Congratulations on your victory. You've earned yourselves a two week long break however it's not all you think. The second phase of Blue Lock is upon us, and the winners of the Neo Egoist League will need to stay for this development. Thus, the foreign players will be staying with Japanese host families during this period."

Ego continued, "I've already arranged the host families. There will be no swapping or complaining."

Ignoring the boos and defeated groans, Ego spoke, "So, without further delay, I'll announce who each German will be accommodated by. Grim will be staying with Aryu, Ness will be staying with Chigiri… "

"And finally, Kaiser," Ego added, his voice deliberately slower, "you will be staying with Isagi. I'm sure you two will find it... interesting."

OR

Isagi and other Blue Lock members take in the German Bastard Munchen members while waiting for the next training arc. They will stay for 2 weeks. How will Kaiser and Isagi deal with being alone in forced proximity?

Notes:

Hi everyone, this is my first fic I'm writing ever, so please be kind :)

I started writing this around the time Blue Lock released Chapter 287, so obviously the story will continue differently to the real manga. I don't know if Bastard Munchen will win, and I don't know exactly how Kaiser would react if Isagi scored Bastard Muchen's winning goal. So, this is all just for fun, and just my interpretation for the plot I had in mind!

Thank you

Chapter 1

Chapter Text

The tension on the pitch thickened, the final moments of the match hanging in the balance. Both Bastard Munchen and PXG had already overcome so much, relentlessly devouring each other's evolutions, strategies and any sense of rationality. Despite Kaiser and Isagi's newest linkup, they had to constantly fight for the smallest advantage with neither team backing down. The game had become a battle of wits, speed, and execution: there was no room for a single misstep.

Yukimiya scanned the field, ball at his feet, searching for an opening. His eyes locked on Kurona, who was making a break for space, and with a swift flick of his foot, he passed it over. But Karasu, with his exceptional anticipation, cut off the ball's path in a flash, intercepting his pass to Kurona with the swift precision of a panther. Karasu didn't let the ball linger—he fired it straight to Rin, who was already in motion, moving like a ghost through the defense.

Rin shifted, eyes scanning the field. He was about to make a run when Kaiser appeared from the shadows. With a sly grin, Kaiser slid into position, forcing Rin to take a hasty touch to avoid the pressure. The ball flew off his foot—slightly too far, and before Rin could react, Hiori was on it, intercepting the loose ball.

"Not so fast," Hiori muttered under his breath, his sharp eyes catching the movement of Zantetsu closing in. With a quick flick of his foot, Hiori sent the ball back to Kaiser, who had read the situation perfectly. Kaiser grinned. This was the perfect moment.

But just as Kaiser prepared to make a shot, Shidou surged forward, his aggressive style causing chaos. Shidou plowed into the space between them, sending a shoulder into Kaiser that forced him off balance for just a moment. With Kaiser slightly off his mark, Shidou stole the ball cleanly.

Shidou sprinted down the field, his speed unnerving, but Kunigami wasn't about to let him slip through. Kunigami slid in just as Shidou was about to shoot, managing to nudge the ball away. It rolled, skidding across the pitch toward Grim, who was positioned to clear it.

But in the chaos, Charles lunged forward and intercepted, sending it straight back to Tokimitsu. He attempted a quick shot at goal, but Gagamaru sprinted and stretched his palm, saving a goal from the high right corner. The ball bounced with a clang and soared into the air.

The game hadn't slowed down for a second. Isagi watched the action unfold, his eyes darting between teammates and opponents. Charles was closing in on him, but there was a gap—just enough for him to make his move.

Kunigami scooped up the loose ball and passed to Grim. Grim's eyes caught Isagi just as the forward broke free of his mark. Without hesitation, Grim sent a perfectly timed pass toward Isagi, threading it through a cluster of PXG defenders.

The ball flew to Isagi, and he was immediately under pressure from Rin, who had closed the gap with lightning speed. Rin's body was poised to tackle, but Isagi's instincts kicked in. With a feint to the left and a sharp right turn, Isagi took the ball past Rin, who was left stumbling in the dust.

Shidou came in fast, charging from the side to make the block. Isagi saw him coming but didn't panic. He shifted the ball just enough, luring Shido in closer—closer. At the last moment, Isagi pulled off a precise nutmeg, sending the ball rolling between Shidou's legs. He was free.

But just as Isagi thought he had a clear path to goal, Karasu, reading the play in real-time, launched himself into the fray. With a quick burst of speed, Karasu closed in on Isagi, forcing him to make a split-second decision.

Isagi took the ball and surged toward the goal, but Karasu was there, positioning himself to make a last-ditch tackle. The defender's foot came inches from the ball—but Isagi's sharp control let him sidestep at the last possible moment, sending Karasu off balance and giving him just enough space.

With only Tokimitsu and Zantetsu between him and the goal, Isagi pushed forward, the goalkeeper's position slowly coming into focus. The defenders didn't stand a chance against his acceleration, and the keeper prepared to face him one-on-one.

But Tokimitsu, still on the move, made one final lunge. His foot reached out, barely grazing Isagi's shot as the ball left his foot. The ball veered slightly off course, but Zantetsu, desperate to recover, dived in front of the goal to block it.

The crowd gasped as Zantetsu's dive almost stopped it, his body stretching to the limit. But the ball curled just out of reach , continuing its path toward the far corner. The goalkeeper stretched, but it was too late. The ball hit the back of the net with a resounding thud.

Then, screaming, jumping, and chaos ensued.

The teams erupted, a tidal wave of deafening cheers crashed down on the players. Isagi's goal sealed the moment of triumph for Bastard Munchen, and the end of the Neo Egoist League. This wasn't just a win—it was the fruit of all their efforts, as well as the result of the chemical reaction between him and Kaiser.

Isagi fell to the ground with a euphoric grin. His arms and legs were shaking with exhaustion, but he couldn't have felt better. He turned his head to his teammates, who attacked and jumped onto him in a pile of limbs on the floor, but Isagi sought one person's eyes: Kaiser.

Kaiser stood frozen, staring at the goal like it had just struck him. His arms hung loosely by his sides, his whole body trembling—not from fatigue, but from something else. The shock was there, but it was more than surprise. It was an undeniable sense of... rage.

The weight of the final whistle felt like a guillotine. The stadium roared, a deafening cacophony of triumph and agony, but Kaiser only heard the hollow ring of his own heartbeat.

That goal—Isagi had done it. Isagi had stolen the spotlight, scoring the decisive goal after they had worked so hard to build that connection. And the worst part? Kaiser knew it was no accident. Isagi had outplayed him in that moment. He'd stepped up, read the game, and taken control. Kaiser couldn't stand it. His chest felt tight as he processed the defeat, his pride cracking at the edges.

The ball, now a meaningless artifact in the back of the net, had already sealed the moment— his moment—stolen away. This was supposed to be his victory. His goal. His time to show everyone, including Isagi, just how far ahead of everyone else he was. But now? It was Isagi's moment. His chance was ripped away, and it tasted like blood in Kaiser's throat.

Kaiser stood frozen, the world moving around him in a blur of bodies and noise, but his mind was razor-sharp, focused on a singular, unbearable truth.

He had lost.

Not to PXG, not to the system, not to fate.

He had lost to Isagi Yoichi.

Kaiser’s breath came slow, measured, as his chest rose and fell with something he refused to name. He clenched his fists at his sides, nails biting into his palms. The pain grounded him, but it didn’t quell the rage burning beneath his skin. It festered, coiling tight around his ribs like a vice.

The others swarmed Isagi, limbs tangling in a chaotic celebration. But amid the tangle of bodies, Isagi’s gaze sought him out. It was deliberate— calculated —as if he needed Kaiser to see it. That he had won. That Kaiser had been forced into the backdrop of his story.

Kaiser's fingers curled into fists at his sides. His whole body itched with the urge to crush that smugness, to wipe that look off Isagi's face. He wasn't done. He hadn't been bested. Not yet. He'd break Isagi. He would tear him down and rebuild himself—no, crush him entirely.

Kaiser stepped forward, his breath slow, his posture cold and controlled while his eyes burned with an intensity that could melt steel. Kaiser’s lips twitched into something resembling a smile, but there was no warmth in it. Only venom.

"Isagi." The word came out like a growl—low, dangerous, and filled with a raw edge that cut through the air between them.

Isagi turned to face him, his grin still there, wide and confident. He looked proud, unflinching. He didn't look afraid.

Kaiser's lips curled into a twisted smile, but it wasn't playful. It was dark, filled with venom. "You think this makes you better than me?" he said, his voice low enough for only Isagi to hear. "You think one shot changes the game? You think it changes anything?"

Isagi's grin faltered, just for a split second—just enough for Kaiser to catch it.

Before Isagi could respond, Kaiser was already stepping away, turning his back to him. "Enjoy it while it lasts, Isagi. You haven't won anything yet. I'll be the one to end you when it matters." His words were sharp, each one a declaration of war.

Isagi stood still, absorbing the venom in Kaiser's voice, but he didn't rise to the bait. Not yet. His victory wasn't about crushing Kaiser; it was about proving something bigger than the battle between them. But Kaiser wouldn't see it that way. He couldn't see it that way. He was too wrapped in his own ego, too wrapped in the idea that he was the one who should come out on top.

Isagi's lips twitched as he turned away. He had done it. He had finally shattered that impossible wall of arrogance, of superiority that Kaiser had built around himself.

For a moment, Kaiser was alone.

Alone in his pride. Alone in his fury.

As the teams gathered around, their cheers echoed through the field. Then, Ego’s voice cut through the celebratory haze like a knife.

“Bastard Munchen,” he said, his tone clinical, dissecting. “Congratulations on your victory. You’ve earned your rest—a two-week break. But it won’t be quite what you expect.”

Kaiser barely reacted, though he could feel the tension shifting through the room, the undercurrent of unease threading through the team.

Ego’s smirk deepened.

"The next phase of Blue Lock's training is upon us, which will begin after these two weeks. This phase will require the winners of the Neo Egoist League, Bastard Munchen, to stay and participate in this development. The foreign players will need a place to reside, so they'll be staying with Japanese host families during this period."

A murmur swept through the players. Kaiser remained still.

He didn’t like surprises.

Ego continued, unfazed by the reaction.

"I've already arranged the host families. Don't worry. You will be taken care of. You'll each be paired with a family. But for those of you who think you'll get a break from your teammates... I have other plans."

He paused, a mischievous glint in his eye.

“Pairs were determined based on existing dynamics and potential growth opportunities as well as by which players' families volunteered to host, of course. So, there will be no swapping or complaining." Ego's voice was firm with a sense of finality.

Defeated groans from all the players reverberated around the hall.

Ignoring the boos, Ego continued speaking, "So, without further delay, I'll announce who each German will be accommodated by. Grim will be staying with Aryu, Gesner with Reo, Ndiaye with Kiyora, Sachs with Niko…"

Isagi drowned Ego's voice out as he opted to look around instead. Surely none of these players would be going home with him, right?

Kaiser’s jaw tightened. The moment stretched, his patience thinning, until—

"Ness will be staying with Chigiri… And finally, Kaiser," Ego added, his voice deliberately slower, "You will be staying with Isagi. I'm sure you two will find it... interesting."

Silence.

A slow, sinking weight pressed against Kaiser’s ribs. He turned his head, meeting Isagi’s equally stunned expression. For a brief moment, neither of them moved.

Isagi stood there, staring at the front of the room in disbelief as the weight of the announcement hit him. The idea of sharing space with Kaiser—the one person who hated him more than anyone else, the one who resented him for destroying his life—felt like a cruel joke. He couldn't understand why it had to be this way. Isagi grit his teeth, trying to keep his emotions in check.

Isagi mumbled, "What the hell, Ego... of all people."

Bachira, standing beside him, couldn't help but grin, his usual mischievous smile curling at the corners of his lips. He was obviously entertained by the situation, the tension practically radiating between the two.

"Ohh, this is going to be fun! You and Kaiser, huh? I can already feel the sparks flying. Do you think he'll break your stuff on purpose or just... stare at you all day, like he usually does?" Bachira teased.

Isagi shot a glare at Bachira, who just shrugged his shoulders, smiling. Isagi sighed, "I don't need his arrogance in my face 24/7. But, I guess I don't really have a choice here…"

Chigiri raised an eyebrow, his usual cool demeanor barely concealing the incredulity in his voice. Smirking, he said, "You're better than me, Isagi. I'd be throwing punches by now if I had to live with him. That guy's been walking around like he's the king of Blue Lock since day one. You're really going to put up with that?"

Isagi looked over at Chigiri, his eyes flicking toward Kaiser, who was standing on the other side of the room, arms crossed, looking more like a statue of rage than a living person. Kaiser was silent, his jaw clenched, his eyes fixed on the floor. There was no smile, no arrogance in his expression—just the barely contained anger that had been festering ever since Isagi had come into the picture. It was clear that Kaiser wasn't taking this well at all.

Quietly, Isagi whispered, "I don't have the luxury of getting upset about this. This is Blue Lock. If I have to share a house with him to keep growing, I'll do it. But don't expect us to be all buddy-buddy the next time you see us."

Chigiri chuckled, crossing his arms, watching Kaiser's seething form. "Well, good luck, man. I'm sure it's going to be one hell of a ride."

Isagi gave a pointed look to Chigiri, "Well, I wish you luck with Ness too. Believe me when I tell you he knows how to hold a grudge."

Chigiri shoved his shoulder as they laughed together. "Guess we're both in for a hell of a break, huh?"

On the other side of the room, Kaiser stood with a scowl on his face, fists clenched at his sides. He inhaled deeply, the air thick with the scent of sweat and victory that wasn’t his. The announcement had ignited something deep inside him—a fire that he had been holding back for so long. The idea of sharing a house with Isagi made him want to tear something apart. For so long, Kaiser had built everything to be the best, to be the one who dominated every aspect of the game, and now he was being forced into a situation where the very player who had shattered his existence would be under the same roof. Isagi had taken his future from him, had surpassed him when Kaiser thought himself untouchable.

Muttering under his breath, Kaiser spoke barely audibly, "You've already ruined everything, Isagi. Now I have to live with you? Just you wait, I'm going to crush you."

Ego watched, his gaze knowing. Planned.

Fine.

If this was a game, he’d play.

But he wouldn’t lose twice. Not to Isagi.

Isagi, still with his friends, glanced over at Kaiser, and for a moment, their eyes locked. Isagi could feel the anger radiating from him, but he couldn't afford to let it affect him. He had learned to deal with his emotions, but with Kaiser, it was hard to not feel the weight of the tension.

I don't care how much he hates me. I don't care how much he resents me. He's not going to stop me from moving forward. But I'll have to be careful... I'm not going to make this any harder than it already is.

Isagi turned back to his friends, taking a deep breath to steady himself. No matter how much he disliked the idea, this was just another challenge he had to face. One that would test him in ways he couldn't predict.

The atmosphere in the room was thick with animosity, and as the players began to disperse, Isagi and Kaiser remained at opposite ends of the space, the unspoken rivalry between them palpable. Soon, they headed to their own rooms to pack their belongings.

In the rooms, the mood was a strange mixture of excitement and anticipation as the players packed up for their brief two week break before the next training phase. The Germans quickly ushered themselves into their locker area, and the chatter started up almost immediately.

Grim dramatically shoved all his stuff into a bag while, beside him, Gesner organized his things while pondering the arrangements for the next two weeks.

"Two weeks off," Gesner mumbled, eyeing the empty space around him. "Doesn't feel real. Feels like they're just giving us a chance to rest up before the next game, you know?"

Ali didn't look up from his bag. "The break is just the calm before the storm," he said, voice quiet but with a knowing undertone. "We'll be back in the fire before we know it."

Theo was already pacing the room. "Wonder what it's gonna be like, huh? I mean, I'm hoping we get to at least explore a little during these two weeks with our Japanese buddies," Theo said, nudging Ness who had been unusually quiet by the corner.

Ness barely reacted, his eyes dark as he stared at the floor. He wasn't in the mood for light conversation, especially not when his mind was still processing everything.

Meanwhile, Kaiser had gone silent again, staring out a window with his back turned to everyone else. His expression was unreadable, but there was a tension about him, one that hung thick in the air like a storm cloud. As the rest of the team moved around him, there was an uncomfortable distance between Kaiser and everyone else, his emotions a jumbled mess—a firestorm waiting to erupt.

All the while, in the Blue Lock player's rooms, Isagi was sitting with Bachira, Chigiri, and Hiori, taking a break from packing. Bachira leaned forward into Isagi's face, his eyes gleaming with his usual playful energy.

"Yo, Isagi! Let's forget about you rooming with Kaiser for a sec. What's it like now, huh, scoring the winning goal? Does that mean you're finally the king of this place?" Bachira grinned.

Appreciating the distraction, Isagi chuckled, but there was a hint of self-awareness in his eyes. He knew that the win wasn't just about scoring that goal; it was a signal of the deeper changes, not just for him, but for the team.

"Not quite the king, Bachira. But I'm definitely feeling like I'm on the right path." Isagi ran a hand through his hair, his thoughts briefly flicking to the intense moment with Kaiser earlier. "But, yeah, things are... different now. We're different, y'know?"

Chigiri, sitting across from them, smiled softly. "You've definitely changed, Isagi. It's like you've leveled up. I think it's more than just the goal—it's the way you're playing now."

Isagi leaned back, a thoughtful expression on his face. "Maybe it's the chemistry... or maybe I'm just realizing this is actually real, and I have a fighting chance."

Hiori, who had been quiet up until now, nodded. "Mhm, it's not just the win. You've changed. You're really growing and evolving at a crazy pace, so are the rest of us with you. And Kaiser..." Hiori glanced briefly around, "I think he's starting to notice that."

Isagi furrowed his brow, voice low, "Yeah… Kaiser's not the type to admit defeat. Not to me."

Back in the German rooms, Kaiser's eyes darted across the room, landing on his teammates. Ness was standing by the corner, quiet with an odd tension around him. His gaze was flickering between the team and Kaiser, as if waiting for something. Kaiser turned his back to the room, pretending not to notice. Whatever happens, I don't need them. I only need myself.

Ness took a few hesitant steps toward Kaiser, his face unreadable, but the weight hung heavily in the air. It had been a while since the explosive incident between them—when Kaiser had ruthlessly told Ness to find a new master, to stop being a dog following his every command.

"Kaiser," Ness began, his voice softer than usual. "You good?"

Kaiser didn't turn around at first. He wasn't sure how to react to the unexpected conversation. But Ness wasn't backing down this time. Even though Kaiser had broken the bond between them, Ness was still trying.

Kaiser finally sighed, his eyes narrowing as he turned to face him. "Stay out of this, Ness. This isn't your fight."

Ness stood still, unwavering. "I know. But you were wrong. You can't just push people away because they're not perfect for you. You might not need anyone else, but I'm not just gonna sit by while you self-destruct."

Kaiser's anger flared, but he buried it deep, not wanting to show any weakness. He took a step forward, his voice low and dangerous. "You think you're the one to tell me what to do? You're still following me, like the obedient little dog you are."

Ness didn't flinch. He met Kaiser's gaze head-on, unyielding. "I'm not a dog anymore, Kaiser. I'm my own person. I don't need you to tell me what I am."

There was a long pause between them. Kaiser's mouth twitched in something resembling a smile, though it was devoid of humor.

"Good luck with that," Kaiser muttered, finally turning away. "But don't expect me to care."

Ness watched him go, his jaw clenched tight. He didn't need Kaiser's approval. Not anymore. But the anger, the hatred, the bitterness—they all still lingered, like a poison in his veins.

The players gathered in the parking lot behind Blue Lock, surrounded by the hum of idle cars and the mixed sounds of voices echoing off the walls of the facility.

Bachira was already bouncing in place, practically vibrating with excitement about going back to his mom. He was telling Isagi about all the chaos undoubtedly has planned.

Chigiri seemed a little more pensive, though a smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he talked about the small break ahead. Waving, he said his goodbye, claiming to meet Kunigami quickly before finding Ness to go home.

Hiori and Kurona were relaxed too, thinking and chatting about the time they'd have to themselves before everything inevitably kicked back into high gear.

But for Isagi, he couldn't find it in himself to feel relaxed. His family would be waiting for him, his mom and dad, always eager and supportive, but they would also be welcoming someone else home—someone Isagi certainly did not like that he was bringing into his home.

Kaiser hadn't said much since the announcement. He seemed to have stepped into silence, almost retreating into himself. Isagi hadn't missed it—the way Kaiser was avoiding direct eye contact, keeping that guarded look around him, but also something else... something more calculating, something that burned beneath the surface. A fire that hadn't yet burned out.

The other players were already leaving in their respective cars, one by one, waving their goodbyes, their voices gradually fading away until only a handful remained.

Isagi spotted his parents' car coming down the parking lot lane, the familiar sight of his mom and dad waving from the front seats. They were excited, of course. Unlike Isagi, who was dreading sharing a space with Kaiser for two weeks.

Kaiser, standing off to the side, didn't look like he was in the mood for small talk. His expression was hard, his eyes narrowing slightly as he observed the rest of the team moving on with their lives. He wasn't just dealing with the loss of his goal; there was something else going on inside him, something simmering beneath the surface, and Isagi could feel it.

Finally, as Isagi's parents pulled up and the others began to disperse, Isagi turned toward Kaiser, his voice laced with an underlying uncertainty. "Guess it's time, huh?"

Kaiser didn't respond. Instead, he scoffed, adjusting his bag over his shoulder as he took a step closer to Isagi. They both knew what the next two weeks meant—Kaiser, in particular, had been avoiding the inevitable. But now, with the whole team scattered and them alone, the silence between them became too heavy to ignore.

Isagi began walking toward the car, Kaiser trailing a few steps behind. The parking lot was quiet now, the remaining teammates lost to the bustle of their own departures. Isagi's parents, parked by the curb, waved enthusiastically as they spotted the two of them. His mom, all smiles, was the first to speak.

"Hi Yocchan, we missed you so much! We're so excited to have you back for a while, and oh! Is this your friend that will be staying with us?" Iyo peered over Isagi's head.

Kaiser's eyes flickered for just a moment, unsure of what to say to this intimate greeting. Clearly, he didn't belong here. His arms were crossed loosely, but Isagi's mother smiled brightly at him.

"Ah, yeah," Isagi chuckled, ruffling his own hair. "This is Kaiser. He'll be staying with us for the break."

Iyo opened her mouth as if to say something more, but Isagi continued. "Also, mom, dad, since we obviously don't know German, Ego gave us all some extra ear pieces that will help us understand what Kaiser is saying. He and I are already wearing ours. Here, try them on." Isagi carefully handed two buds to each of his parents.

Kaiser watched as they curiously held up the little device before sticking them cautiously into their ears.

Iyo confusedly furrowed her brows, "Well, is it working? I really am getting old. I can't tell how to work these gadgets." Iyo smiled sheepishly as Issei joined in the laughter.

"We can test it. Kaiser? You mind introducing yourself?" Isagi turned to him.

Kaiser narrowed his eyes slightly at Isagi, but obliged. "Hello Mr. and Mrs. Isagi. Thank you for allowing me into your home for this time."

Shocked, Isagi's parents looked at each other in amazement. "Wow! I can hear you speaking clear Japanese! This is so cool. Are you sure you're not just speaking Japanese?" Iyo questioned Kaiser.

Kaiser didn't respond immediately, offering only a terse head shake.

Isagi's dad, trying to break the ice, grinned and gave a friendly thumbs-up. "Well, welcome to our home, Kaiser! We're looking forward to having you!"

Isagi's mom leaned over to him with an excited whisper. "Isn't this exciting? It's like hosting a special guest! I'll make sure we have plenty of your favorite dishes, Kaiser!"

Isagi's eyes flicked over to Kaiser, who was still silent, but there was a flash of something darker there—a faint hint of annoyance in the way he clenched his jaw. He's definitely not as excited as they are, Isagi thought, but he quickly pushed the thought aside. This was going to be a strange two weeks.

As the car doors opened, Isagi slid into the back seat, while Kaiser, with his usual cold air, did the same on the opposite side. He didn't look at Isagi. The air in the car grew thick as they both buckled up, and the car engine hummed to life. The drive was only a few minutes, but it felt like an eternity with the palpable tension between them.

After a while, Isagi broke the silence, whispering as to not let his parents hear. "You know... my parents are pretty easy going. It's gonna be a pretty chill time, so don't stress about it too much."

Kaiser snorted, the sound more derisive than amused. "I'm not worried. This is temporary. I don't stress about such inferior things, Yoichi."

Isagi's held the urge to roll his eyes, "Yeah, I get it. But two weeks is a while. Might be hard to adjust."

Kaiser didn't answer at first. His gaze was fixed on the view outside, his jaw tight as he processed Isagi's words. Finally, he spoke. "Mind your own business, Yoichi." His voice was sharp, the ice behind his words making it clear that his thoughts weren't as open as he had led everyone to believe. "I can handle myself just fine. Don't think anything will change in two weeks."

Isagi blinked, unsure of how to respond. "Um… what do you mean?"

Kaiser's eyes turned toward him, the coldness now matched by something darker. "I'm not here to make friends. I have to play along as your roommate? Fine. But don't think for a second that this changes anything. We're still rivals. Nothing about that will ever change."

Isagi's chest tightened as he turned to face Kaiser, his voice steady but laced with a hint of challenge. "I never expected anything to change. But if you think I'm going to back down just because you say so, you've got another thing coming, Kaiser."

Kaiser's lips twitched slightly, though it wasn't a smile. His gaze held that unreadable intensity, and he leaned back into the seat, his arms crossed. "We'll see, won't we?"

Isagi watched him closely, then turned back to look out the window, his mind buzzing with everything unsaid. The car continued on its path, the sound of the engine filling the silence, but neither of them was truly at ease.

Notes:

First time posting, kinda nervous >w<

LMAO no but fr I love Kiis sm and I just needed to post something because why have all my fav fics ended already and idk nothing new is peaking my interest rn. I just wanted something specific I had in my mind and I couldn't find it so I decided let me try and make it.

Obviously this is my first time and I would appreciate any commentaries on how to make it better, where you would like to see the plot headed, how to improve character reactions/interactions, etc. Because DAMN the characterization had me going through it. Idk if after the PXG match Kaiser would be happy and respect Isagi or hate him for stealing the goal and limelight. For the plot, I went with the latter but I can totally see both.

Also, new years just passed so I decided to branch out. Again, please leave comments I would love feedback or any positive or constructive criticism! Lots of love.
