Chapter Text
Hello and welcome to Omnitrix City’s Alien Anthropology Public Relations. Omnitrix City's mission as a city is to help breed understandings and relationships between humans and non-human sentient species. Our city’s founder, Ben 10,000, is probably the most well known example of this idea, acting as an ambassador by using his powers to turn into various non-earth sentient species. He has been a hero to earth and beyond in his decades of service. Because of his work, most people on earth are aware of and have a favorable opinion of a number of different species that they wouldn’t otherwise.
However, there is a limit to Ben’s approach. While Ben 10,000 can turn into nearly every sentient race in the Milky Way Galaxy, due to his work as a superhero and active Plumber agent the majority of species he showcases are particularly useful for combat. And of those species with particularly useful combat abilities, Ben typically has a number he favors. Either transformations that are either very flexible or very powerful or very straight forward. In that way, Ben 10,000 is very much a hammer who sees the dangers of the universe as nails.
And to those who find that a little too harsh, don’t worry. Ben Tennyson is on the board of the OCAAPR, so has reviewed this presentation series. He laughed very hard at it.
So, how do we work to promote understanding of various alien species while also not undermining Ben 10,000’s effectiveness? In an ideal situation, we would happily invite any individual to come to our city and talk about your home planet’s culture. But as that is not fully practical for all , we at the OCAAPR think this series is a good first step. This shall be a collection of Earth Relative Aliens that the general population of Earth may not be aware of. Consider this a way to expand your understanding of the universe above our heads.
I do want to clarify one important point, this is only a snapshot of a complex culture and species. To pretend you know everything about another planet from a short introduction is foolish. We instead recommend using this as a baseline for further learning. To that degree, we shall be providing a list of references that we used to construct this presentation so you can hopefully learn more beyond what we can talk about. It is also in turn to hold ourselves accountable. Because of course, we are still a larger Human/Hybrid/Kraho organization. That comes with its own biases, including the research we use.
If all of this sounds like something you are interested in, then click on the next button at the bottom of the page to continue. The OCAAPR is starting with 10 Earth Relative Aliens. If this does well, we may add more species in the future. If you would like to see more, or if you notice any mistakes or omissions in this presentation, there is a survey at the end of the presentation you can fill out.
But I feel that is enough preamble. Let’s move on to the species proper, starting with the Throptens.
