“Wani-chan!” Wanijima’s ears twitch as Choji’s voice reaches him.

“Wani-chan!”

 

Wanijima’s ears twitch as Choji’s voice reaches him, blinking and slowly turning himself in the direction of his leader. Choji is already in the air, jumping at him, and Wanijima can do nothing but hold his arms out in order to catch him.

 

They both go crashing to the ground, Wanijima’s ears flattening against his head before flicking out again, his arms curled around Choji’s body. When Choji pulls back, grinning down at him, Wanijima simply tilts his head and blinks again.

 

“Hi, Wani-chan!” Choji giggles as he reaches up to scratch at Wanijima’s ears. Against his will, Wanijima’s tail slowly flicks back and forth, curling as it does. “I came to cuddle.”

 

“You can always just ask,” Wanijima mumbles, lifting his head to headbutt against Choji’s shoulder. “Instead of jumping me.”

 

Choji snickers as he hugs Wanijima’s head, nuzzling his face between his ears, as a low rumbling starts to emanate from Wanijima’s chest.
