Chapter Text
Seokjin grits his teeth as he continues to scroll on Instagram, knowing that it was a bad idea doesn’t stop him from doing it anyways. Right there on the main page was him , Seokjin’s summer fling, his quote unquote friend with benefits. Don’t get Seokjin wrong, he doesn’t harbor any ill feelings towards his summer fling. Rather, it was more some sort of jealousy that he was feeling as he continued to scroll. Watching this man travel off to different countries and live out his dream. Well it had Seokjin feeling some type of way, and none of it was good. Jealousy is seriously a green-eyed monster and definitely a bitch.
Seokjin checked the clock, he needed to get going if he was going to make it on time– and he definitely didn’t want to miss this. It was the highlight of his Saturdays after all. He grabs his favorite pink sweater, pulling it on, making sure to grab his wallet and keys before he slides on his shoes and heads out the door.
September was unseasonably cool at this time of year for some reason. Seokjin didn’t bother to make sense of it, the weather was always fickle. He pulls his pink sweater a little tighter around himself as he strolls down the sidewalk. Even with the chill in the air it was, admittedly, a beautiful day outside. The leaves are starting to change colors, different shades of red, orange and yellow dotted among the green. Seokjin mentally goes over in his head what he needs to buy today and tries to forget about what he saw on Instagram.
The Merry Little Market is his favorite neighborhood grocery store. It’s close enough that Seokjin can walk to it from his apartment and not have to worry about taking public transportation. The Merry Little Market has everything he needs and is never extremely busy, even on the weekends. The glass doors slide open as he approaches. Seokjin nods his head in greeting to the familiar Ahjumma working the register as he makes his way inside.
Seokjin glances at his watch, checking the time once again. Perfect, he made it ahead of schedule. He doesn’t want to seem too eager after all. Grabbing a basket, Seokjin leisurely makes his way down the aisles grabbing the items that he needs and killing some time.
Seokjin walks over towards the produce section, but stays half hidden behind the aisle end cap. Peeking around the corner, butterflies appear in his stomach at the sight. There, standing over near the fruit, was Mr. Amazing Hands. Obviously that wasn’t his real name, just what Seokjin called him in his head. Mr. Amazing Hands has been coming to The Merry Little Market every Saturday for weeks now.
And Seokjin would know, as he is here most Saturdays. He noticed Mr. Amazing Hands a while ago, appreciating the view that the man offered. If it wasn’t for his summer fling, Seokjin might have tried to approach him earlier. For the last month or so, Seokjin had been trying to work up the nerve to talk to Mr. Amazing Hands. Yet he still hadn’t been able to approach the man.
So, instead, Seokjin just continues to admire from afar each Saturday. Just like he is doing right now while Mr. Amazing Hands stands in front of the bin filled with tangerines. His long pale pink fingers reach out to grab the fruit, inspecting it. Mr. Amazing Hands rolls the small tangerine between his fingers before squeezing it slightly, checking the firmness before setting it back down and selecting a different one.
Seokjin instinctively squeezes his thighs together. God what he wouldn’t give to have those hands on him, squeezing and touching just like Mr. Amazing Hands is doing with the tangerines. He fans himself slightly, feeling heated at the sight he just witnessed. He mentally berates himself for being so horny in public. Taking a deep breath, he steps away from the endcap and strolls calmly to the display of strawberries that just so happen to be next to the tangerines.
Mr. Amazing Hands is actually more than just a set of hands. He had a very nice face as well. Very defined features, with almond shaped eyes that sometimes appear sleepy, and full lips. Seokjin has seen him smirk before and laugh just once. It did things to his insides when those things happened. Mr. Amazing Hands has dark hair, slightly wavy and touching the collar of his shirt, not too long but not too short either. Plus, he was a little bit shorter than Seokjin. Oh the way Seokjin liked them when they were a little bit shorter.
Just stay cool, calm and collected. Seokjin watches out of the corner of his eye as Mr. Amazing Hands reaches out again for another tangerine. Seokjin bites his lip at the sight. All you need to do is say anything . Like hi, hello, how are you? Just make small talk. What can it hurt? Just grow a pair already.
Seokjin can feel the sweat start to bead on his forehead, maybe he should’ve taken off his sweater when he got inside. Even so, it’s usually not that warm in here. Maybe he is getting sick or something. Work has been extremely busy lately and he hasn’t been eating the greatest, or getting the most rest. Plus in the afternoons he has had these random bouts of nausea. But it should be okay– after the supermarket visit, he plans on spending the rest of the weekend getting lots of rest.
He reaches his hand out for a container of strawberries, but a bout of dizziness suddenly hits him. He braces his hands on either side of the stand, steadying himself; the basket on his arm smacking into the display. Well, he wasn’t expecting this at all, and now he can feel Mr. Amazing Hands looking at him– and not in the way he had wanted.
Trying to stave away the embarrassment, Seokjin reaches out his hand again, this time successfully grabbing the pint of strawberries, He quickly slides it into his basket, straightening up as he pointedly ignores Mr Amazing Hands' eyes still on him. Maybe it’s best I try talking with him on a different day. As he goes to walk away, a second bout of dizziness hits him, causing him to stumble. The basket drops from his arm, making a loud sound. Great , he inwardly groans. Seokjin bends down to grab the basket. Something isn’t right, he can feel himself swaying back and forth as the room starts to spin.
“Hey! Are you–” Seokjin vaguely feels a hand on his arm as his vision goes black.

I tentatively have 8 chapters outlined for this fic <3
But that is always subjected to change-- sometimes these characters have a mind of their own :)
Chapter Text
Seokjin groggily opens his eyes, startling at the harsh whiteness of the walls he sees. What the… this is not his apartment, the walls of his bedroom are a lovely shade of lavender, while the rest of the apartment is a pale yellow. He despises plain white walls with a passion, it's just so sterile feeling.
Beep.. Beep.. Be-e-ep.. Beep.. Beep.. Be-e-ep.. Beep..
What?! What is that sound? Even more confused, Seokjin’s scans the room with the harsh white walls and sees a monitor next to him? He notices it has his name, heart rate wave and oxygen levels. Did he end up in a hospital somehow? As Seokjin becomes more aware, the more confused he gets. The last thing he remembered was being at the supermarket, and he had finally worked up the nerve to talk to Mr. Amazing Hands.
Before the panic can start to set in, Seokjin hears a soft knock at the door before ‘Mr. Amazing Hands,’ enters in a white coat. The man is distracted by the iPad in his hands as he mutters softly to himself. Once Mr. Amazing Hands reaches the end of the bed, he looks up from the iPad and jumps slightly when he sees Seokjin staring straight at him with wide eyes.
“Oh hello there, I didn't realize you were awake already.” Mr. Amazing Hands' cheeks redden a little. “Umm, I’m not sure how much you remember, but you fainted at the grocery store. I had to call emergency services and they brought you here.”
Stunned, Seokjin doesn’t utter a word. Instead his eyes take in the man in front of him– starting at Mr. Amazing Hand’s gorgeous face before trailing down the rest of his figure. His eyes zero in on the name badge on his chest that reads, Min Yoongi, DO. Mr. Amazing Hands does look like a ‘Yoongi.’
“Overall you are okay, the fetus is okay as well. Labs revealed you suffered a hypoglycemic episode, which is normal at this stage of pregnancy. Plus you are a little dehydrated, so we have you on some fluids now. But I recommend following up with your OBGYN as soon as possible, to avoid any further incidents.”
Seokjin can feel his heart stop, as his eyes widen, his brain still trying to process what Mr. Amazing Hands had just said. He said what now!?!?! “Preg–” His voice comes out raspy, he clears his throat and tries again. “Pre..pregnant? Did you say I’m pregnant?” Shock evident in his raspy voice.
“Umm, yes– pregnant.” Now Mr. Amazing Hand’s eyes are the wide ones, “And I take it by your expression, that you were unaware of the pregnancy?”
“Yes,” Seokjin bites out, his mind racing, trying to pinpoint when this could’ve occurred. Then he realizes– his summer fling! His whirlwind summer romance. It was all fun with no real strings attached, but that also had a time limit. One that both him and his fling were aware of and fully respected. At the end of the summer, Seokjin shared one last wonderful night with his summer romance before bidding him farewell. He doesn’t even know where the guy is at this point.
“I am so sorry that you found out this way. I wouldn't have said it like that if I realized you were unaware… but Seokjin-ssi, I do have to ask, did you know that you were a carrier?” Mr. Amazing Hands asks, those long fingers gripping the iPad. Seokjin wishes they were gripping onto something else.
Seokjin shakes his head to clear his mind of the horny thoughts. “Ye..yes I did. I just didn’t think I could get pregnant. Last time at the doctors, they said my levels were too low. That it most likely meant I was no longer fertile…”
“Ah, yes. Sometimes those tests can be inconclusive. But from your bloodwork and ultrasound to confirm viability that were completed while you were out, you are about eight weeks along. Oh– we can do another ultrasound if you would like, now that you are awake.”
That tracks, Seokjin thinks to himself. The last time he had sex was at the end of the summer. “I see. I– I think I would like to wait on that ultrasound if that is okay?”
“Perfectly okay, it is a lot to process after all. We do have images from it, if you would like a copy. I can have the nurse arrange it.”
Seokjin nods his head yes. “Umm– ” He holds up his arm that has the IV coming out of it. “How long do you think I will need to be here?” A prolonged hospital stay was definitely not in his plans. Though, neither was being pregnant or finding out from the one man that has been staring in his fantasies lately. At this point he just wants to get back to his apartment with its soothing wall colors and climb into bed, so he can process everything.
Mr. Amazing Hands looks over at the bag fluids hanging from the pole, then at the monitors and back to his iPad. “Now that you are awake, I don’t think it will be too much longer. I want to check your labs one last time. If everything checks out, we can get you discharged tonight. Is there a significant other we can call?”
“No.” Seokjin bites his lip. “It’s just me. Well–” He moves his hand to the curve of his stomach, cupping it. He cannot believe that there is a baby growing inside of him.
Mr. Amazing Hands gets the hint. “I’ll send the nurse. I’ll put a rush on the labs and I’ll get an answer back to you as soon as I can regarding your discharge.”
Mr. Amazing Hands exits the room and Seokjin is left alone with his thoughts. He puts both hands on his stomach now, looking down at it in wonder. Thinking back, he feels stupid for not noticing the signs earlier, appetite changes, some nausea in the morning, the slight rounding of his abdomen. He just thought it was stress at work and lack of a proper diet. But now– now Seokjin knows better. He is carrying a life inside of him, something that he never thought he would get to experience. Maybe– just maybe, this little accident is a blessing in disguise.
The nurse enters the room shortly after Mr. Amazing Hands leaves. She takes some more of his blood before leaving Seokjin alone. The rhythmic beeping of the monitors is soothing in its own way, causing his eyes to drift shut as he falls back asleep.
Seokjin is unsure how long he was asleep for, when a knock on the door woke him up. Seokjin hurriedly wiped the drool from his cheek as the door opened, revealing Mr. Amazing Hands once again.
Mr. Amazing Hands enters the room, his eyes glued to the iPad again. “Your labs are looking good, especially after the fluids. We can start the discharge process, if you are ready?” At Seokjin’s nod, Mr. Amazing Hands begins to go over discharge instructions. Seokjin tunes him out, still in shock regarding everything, he will just read over everything later when he can actually process what is going on.
After Mr. Amazing Hands leaves, Seokjin slowly gets dressed and then rings the call bell when he’s finished. A nurse appears with his discharge packet, informing him that the sonogram picture is in the packet. As the nurse is leaving an orderly appears, assisting him into a wheelchair and wheeling him out front.
Seokjin thanks him as he stands from the wheelchair and walks over to a nearby bench. Pulling out his phone he contemplates splurging on a rideshare or maybe even a taxi? Or should he make the trek to the bus station? The thought of walking that far makes him audibly groan. He just wants to be in the comfort of his apartment already. Maybe he should just splurge, he will be home so much quicker if he does.
“Oh, Seokjin-ssi,” he looks up. “Waiting on your ride?” Mr. Amazing Hands is standing there, no longer wearing his the white doctor’s coat, and instead now just in street clothes. He has a bag slung over his shoulder with his hands in his pockets.
“More like determining what I want to do. Taxi or bus? Both sound utterly unappealing at the moment.” Seokjin frowns as mentions the two options, he looks up at the sky noting the dark clouds and the chill in the air, causing him to shiver. He is still only in his pink sweater from earlier, which isn’t nearly warm enough now.
“Or I could give you a lift? I know that’s probably weird, but I– just see you at the grocery store every weekend…” Mr. Amazing Hands continues to ramble. He’s even cuter than Seokjin realized. Well– more cute than hot. Adorable honestly.
“Yes,” Seokjin interjects, before he can think too much about it. “I would love a ride if it isn’t too much.” He is not going to let this chance pass him up, pregnant or not. “I don’t think we officially met. I’m Kim Seokjin.” He holds out his hand.
“Min Yoongi,” Mr. Amazing Hands, Yoongi, replies with a shy smile, shaking the proffered hand. Together they walk towards Yoongi’s car. He opens the car door for Seokjin, making him inwardly swoon, just right as it starts to sprinkle.
Chapter 3
Notes:
Hi!
I'm back!!
Without further ado.. our next chapter :)
Chapter Text
Yoongi makes it into the car, right as the sky opens up into a downpour. He quickly turns on the car, adjusting the temperature so that warm air is blowing through the vents. Seokjin sighs as he holds his hands up to the warm air, thankful for the heat.
“If it’s okay with you I want to give it a minute or two to see if it lets up any.” Yoongi murmurs softly, his eyes gazing at the rain as it pours down.
“That’s fine.” Seokjin replies. “Can I just say thank you again? If it wasn’t for you, I would be caught out in that right now.” He shivers as he thinks of what could’ve been. The rain is relentless as it pours down. “I guess I have multiple things I should be thanking you for. I’m not sure how I’m ever going to repay you?”
Seokjin watches in fascination as Yoongi’s hands tighten around the steering wheel, causing his thoughts to edge towards the R-rated territory once again.
“Seokjin? Seokjin-ssi?” He sees a hand waving in front of his face, breaking him out of his staring.
“Huh?”
“I was asking where you live?” Yoongi looks at him with concern in his eyes. “Are you sure you're okay? Maybe we should go back inside.”
“No, no, no,” Seokjin replies, waving his hands in front of him. “I’m fine, promise. I just zoned out for a minute. I’m not far from The Merry Little Market, if you just want to head that direction.” Yoongi nods in confirmation, he throws his arm over the back of the passenger seat as he looks behind him, backing out of the spot.
That’s hot– so fuckin’ hot. Seokjin tries to discreetly fan himself, now feeling much warmer.
“Oh– is it too warm now? Let me adjust it.” Yoongi reaches his hand towards the knob, those long fingers… Seokjin quickly averts his gaze, he moves the packet over his lap hiding himself from view as he tries to think non-sexy thoughts. He cannot pop a boner in Mr. Amazing Hand’s car.
In the silence, Seokjin’s stomach lets out an embarrassing growl, he can feel his cheeks redden again but for a different reason this time. “Sorry,” he mutters, ducking his head down.
“You probably haven’t eaten yet have you? You weren’t awake during lunch time. I can pull through a drive thru easily enough.”
“Oh no– that’s fine. I can just get something at home…” Seokjin trails off realizing that he really doesn’t have much of anything at home, hence part of the reason why he was at the store today.
“Nonsense. I figured you were at the grocery store for the same reason I was.” Yoongi flips on his turn signal, turning into a fast food joint and rolling up to the speaker. “Any preferences?” Seokjin shakes his head no. Yoongi orders two combo meals, and says he won’t hear a word about Seokjin paying, as he hands the worker his card. After the transaction is complete, Yoongi grabs the food bag, handing it to Seokjin before pulling away.
At this point, Seokjin is truly unsure how he is going to pay Yoongi back, however his stomach lets out another rumble. Soon Yoongi arrives on the same road The Merry Little Market is located on. “Turn left at the next light.” They continue down the street, Seokjin giving directions to Yoongi.
“Oh.” Yoongi exclaims softly. “I– uh– I live right over there.” Yoongi points at the apartment building about a block away from where Seokjin lives. “I guess you could say we are neighbors, kinda.”
Yoongi pulls into an empty space along the street, the rain now a soft drizzle. He reaches into the bag, grabbing his meal and insisting Seokjin take the bag with him. “I– um– I left my number in your packet– uh, it’s my personal number, if you need to reach out for any reason at all.” Seokjin notices that the tips of Yoongi’s ears are turning a lovely shade of red.
“Thank you.” Seokjin bows his head. Gripping the packet and bag of food in hand, he quickly exits the car, making a dash for the entrance of his apartment. As he steps under the awning he turns back around, to see Yoongi still in the same spot. Warmth floods him as he realizes that Yoongi was waiting for him to make it safely inside. Seokjin lifts his hand before turning on his heel and heading through the door.
Finally he’s back at his apartment. He kicks off his shoes and heads directly to the kitchen, taking a seat on one of the stools as pulls out the combo meal and devours it in an embarrassing short period of time. He licks the grease from his fingers in satisfaction, his tummy now happy. Well, he guesses– he and the baby are now happy.
Seokjin grabs the packet he dropped on the counter in his haste to get to the food. He turns it upside down, shaking it out. The first thing that falls out is the sonogram picture. Tentatively he reaches out, taking the picture in hand. That’s– that’s his baby. Seeing the picture makes everything seem much more real. He traces his fingers around the blob before moving that same hand to his stomach, rubbing it softly.
“Hi, little one, I’m your Appa. Sorry if I haven’t been paying you any attention, you see Appa just found out about you today, but I promise I’ll do better. I can’t wait to meet you.”
Seokjin needs to do better, be better, especially for this little life growing inside of him. He throws the trash in the bin, pinning the photo up on his fridge before making his way to the bathroom. A hot shower sounds wonderful right about now– plus he cannot wait to put on his favorite pair of blue pajamas.
Once under the warm stream, Seokjin hangs his head back in pleasure. There is nothing better than a hot shower. As he washes his hair, his mind thinks back to all the events of the day. And he cannot help that his mind drifts back to Yoongi’s hands– those amazing x-rated pieces of art. Seokjin can feel his dick twitch in interest as it hardens.
It’s been weeks since he last took care of himself, and not wanting to let the moment pass him by, Seokjin squirted some soap in hand before bringing said hand to his dick. In his mind’s eye he recalls Yoongi’s hands in an embarrassing amount of detail, not to mention all the things he wanted those hands to do to him. In no time he finds his release, letting the water wash it away. Feeling satiated, Seokjin finishes washing his body.
Soon he was curled up into his bed in his favorite pajamas, idly scrolling through his phone as he started to read about male pregnancy. His eyes almost began to cross at all the information. Where does he even start? He never thought he would end up pregnant. Over the years, Seokjin was told it would be near impossible for him to conceive. So he never gave it much thought.
Seokjin worries his lip between his teeth. Maybe this could be the perfect excuse to reach out to Yoongi– he did leave Seokjin his number after all. His mind all made up, Seokjin decides that he will message Yoongi in the morning. He doesn’t want to come across too eager, after all. Pulling his trusty alpaca plushie into his arms, he snuggles into it as he drifts off to sleep.
The next morning, Seokjin wakes feeling slightly nauseous. Luckily one of the things he always had on hand was lemon ginger tea, he makes himself a cup as he leafs through the packet, locating Mr. Amazing Hand’s Card.
Min Yoongi, DO
Generalist, National Hospital Services
+82-7-709-0613
However scribbled on the back of the card is a second number personal cell: +82-7-613-0309. Seokjin sips on his tea as he debates on how to start the message. Should he thank Yoongi for everything? Be flirty? Or be direct and to the point. He types, erases and types again until he finally comes up with something he is satisfied with.
[to: Mr. Amazing Hands]
I just want to say thank you again for everything yesterday
You have no idea how much i appreciate it
Do you have a good recommendation for an OBGYN?
I am at a loss on where to even start
There– he did it! Seokjin mentally pats himself on the back. He pulls the rest of his discharge paperwork towards him, finally in the mindset where he can read and process it. Information on proper diet and nutrition, importance of sleep, monitoring of stress levels, etc. It is a little overwhelming but he buckles down to read everything.
Buzz . His phone vibrates on the counter, Seokjin eagerly reaches out his hand to snatch it up.
[from: Mr. Amazing Hands]
Kim Taehyung is a phenomenal OBGYN
I’ve known him for several year now
Plus he is familiar with male pregnancies
How are you feeling today?
Seokjin cannot help but smile to himself. Maybe Mr. Amazing Hands, aka Yoongi, was also interested in him as well. He quickly types out an answer, not caring that he is responding right away.
[to: Mr. Amazing Hands]
The baby had me feeling a little nauseous this morning
But otherwise not too bad
I need to go to the grocery store
But i’m a little embarrassed to return there after yesterday
[from: Mr. Amazing Hands]
I’m not on-call today
I could go with you if you would like
Just to make sure everything is okay and all…
Seokjin squeals at the response, quivering in joy.
[to: Mr. Amazing Hands]
Yes!
That would be wonderful
[from: Mr. Amazing Hands]
How does 1pm sound?
I can pick you up
[to: Mr. Amazing Hands]
See you then!
Thank you again
Seokjin pumps his fists in the air in excitement– then freezes. Oh fuck . What is he going to wear? It’s not a date , so he doesn’t want to try hard but he also wants to look somewhat presentable.
Ultimately Seokjin decides on a pair of comfortable jeans and a hoodie. A classic look and one that he is comfortable in. But don’t judge him if he takes a little more time on his hair, effortlessly styling it.
At 1pm, his phone vibrates with a message from Yoongi stating he is out front. Sliding on his shoes, Seokjin makes his way outside. He smiles shyly as he approaches Yoongi’s car. The object of his affection is standing there, leaning handsomely against the passenger side.
“Hi,” Seokjin utters.
“Hi,” Yoongi responds with a smile before pushing himself off the car and holding the door open for Seokjin, who tries really hard not to swoon. Once Seokjin is in the car, Yoongi carefully shuts the door before jogging around to the other side. “There is a big chain store not far from here, we could go there if you like? I wasn’t sure how you were feeling about returning to The Merry Little Market after what happened yesterday.”
Seokjin doesn’t think he is ready to return to the little grocery store quite yet. “I vote for the other store.” Yoongi nods as he pulls the car away from the curb. Seokjin cannot help but admire the man as he drives with a single minded focus, and at the way he grips the steering wheel with those hands. God, those hands just do fuckin’ something to him.
Yoongi drives for roughly five minutes before he pulls into the lot for a popular chain store. After parking the car, he runs around to the other side and opens the car door before Seokjin is able to, making him swoon even more.
They walk into the store together, side by side, Seokjin feels like he is soaring.
“Do you just want to share a cart?” Seokjin nods with a smile on his face. Yoongi pushes the cart while Seokjin follows beside him. They make small talk as Seokjin throws what he needs into the cart. Totally taking advantage of having someone with a car, he’ll worry about how he will get everything up to the apartment later.
They save the produce section for last and as they make their way over to the fruit, Seokjin reaches his hand out for a carton of strawberries. But before he can grab one, Yoongi’s amazing hands sneak past him, closing around the same carton.
“I didn’t want you to fall for me again.” Yoongi smiles softly, “Better safe than sorry right?”
Honestly Seokjin could of fainted right then and there, but he knew he couldn’t pull that off a second time. Nor did he want to. “Thank you. I do love strawberries. I have been craving them lat…” he trails off as the realization overcomes him, his hand going to his abdomen.
“It’s very normal at your stage of pregnancy for cravings to begin happening. So yours is strawberries?” Yoongi asks as steers the cart towards the checkout.
“Yeah–” Seokjin keeps his hand on his belly, his little strawberry, his little Ttalgi, “It’s strawberries.”
Chapter Text
Seokjin is a bundle of nerves as he steps into the hospital, the same one he was at a couple weeks prior when he fainted. But now he is here for a different reason. It’s time for him to see his little Ttalgi for the first time.
Why can’t they make these chairs more comfortable? He thinks to himself as leg continues to jump up and down, causing the couple a few chairs down from him to glare. Seokjin’s hand unconsciously goes to his stomach. It still hasn’t completely sunk in that he is going to be a father.
“Kim Seokjin?” His head snaps up, there in the open doorway stands a nurse. Grabbing his bag, he quickly stands up from his seat and hurries over. “Right this way.” Seokjin follows her down a short hall. They pause momentarily to get his weight and vitals before she leads him into a small exam room, where she types away on her ipad as she takes a brief history. “The doctor will be with you shortly.” She gives a brief bow of her head as she exits.
Seokjin scans the room. In addition to the typical anatomy posters on the walls, he notices a stunning piece of artwork, abstract in nature, on one of the walls. It’s actually quite calming to look at. Behind it, the walls of the room are a soft blue. It all helps a little to quell Seokjin’s nerves a little as he waits.
There is a brief knock on the door before the doctor strolls in, ipad in hand. “Hello there Seokjin-ssi, I am doctor Kim and I’ll be your OB-GYN, I specialize in carrier pregnancies.” The doctor takes a seat and Seokjin is momentarily stunned, he didn’t realize his doctor would be this handsome. “I see in your chart that you were here a couple weeks ago for a fainting spell, and that is when you found out you were pregnant? How have you been feeling since then?”
“Pretty good. I’ve been more conscious of my body, making sure not to skip meals. I haven’t felt lightheaded since.”
“That’s good to hear. I would like to get some more blood work today, to make sure everything is still checking out okay. Regardless I am going to recommend some prenatal vitamins, but I may tailor the recommendation some, based on the results. Now I am going to have you get up on the table. I want to listen to your heart and lungs then we’ll take a look at the little one. How does that sound?”
Seokjin smiles with a nod of his head. He takes a seat on the exam table, taking deep breaths when instructed. Following Doctor Kim’s further instructions, he leans back on the table and pulls his shirt up, flinching a little when the cool gel hits his stomach. Seokjin stares at the screen as Doctor Kim mutters to himself, clicking away.
“Seokjin-ssi, the fetus is measuring appropriately. You look to be about 10 weeks along.” Doctor Kim points to the monitor, “there is your little one.”
Oh– everything seems to hit him at once, he can feel the tears welling up in the corner of his eyes. This is real, he is going to be a father!
“Take all the time you need, Seokjin-ssi, I know that this can be a lot. I can print you off a couple of pictures if you would like?”
“I would love that.”
Doctor Kim prints off two sets of ultrasound photos. “I would like to see you again in about four weeks. I’ll let the secretary know so that they can set up your appointment when you leave.”
Seokjin holds the photos in his hands as Doctor Kim leads up to where he is to have his blood drawn. He doesn’t even flinch when they take his blood, so focused on the photos. It’s just a grey blob on a black background, but he’s mesmerized. He continues to stare at the photos when he makes his follow up appointment and as he walks down the hall.
“Oof.” The photos drop out of Seokjin’s hands as he runs into something solid. But before he can reach down to pick them up a very familiar set of hands comes into his view. Those hands are the stars of his recent fantasies, not that he would ever say that out loud.
Seokjin follows the hands to the wrists and then up the arms, until he is looking at their owner, a small smile on said owner’s face. “Fancy meeting you here. Is this little Ttalgi?”
Seokjin can feel the tips of his ears redden. “Ye..yes. I had my first appointment today.” He reaches out and gingerly takes the photos out of Yoongi’s hand.
“Ah– with Taehyung-ah. How was he? Not too overbearing? Answered all your questions?”
“He was great– made me feel right at home. Well— as home as I could be in a hospital.” Even after spending time shopping with Yoongi, Seokjin is still nervous around him. “I– um– meant to say, he made me feel comfortable.”
“I’m happy to hear that.” There is a brief period of awkwardness when Seokjin’s stomach lets out an embarrassing growl at that exact moment. Yoongi chuckles before asking, “I was just getting ready to head to lunch, maybe you would like to join me? It sounds like Ttalgi is hungry.”
Seokjin answered quickly, as he had the rest of the afternoon free due to taking time off from work for the appointment. “Sure.” He then follows Yoongi down the hallways, until they reach the cafeteria. They stand side by side as their trays are loaded up with food. Seokjin cannot help the butterflies in his stomach when Yoongi asks for extra strawberries.
If someone was to ask what they talked about at that lunch together, Seokjin wouldn’t know what to tell them. He was too distracted by those long fingers, gripping his chopsticks just so. In no way is this sight conventionally attractive, but Seokjin cannot help but stare. Those hands just make him feel a certain type of way.
After lunch, Yoongi insists on walking Seokjin to the bus stop. He tried to refuse, “I’m sure you have other patients.”
“I have time before I am needed anywhere. Plus, it wouldn’t sit right with me if I let you go alone.”
“If you insist.”
“I insist.”
Yoongi then proceeds to wait with him, until the next bus arrives. He makes sure Seokjin is safely inside, and watches until the bus departs before he walks back to the hospital.
Seokjin does his best to try and not yawn at his seat, but it’s just so hard. Ttalgi is making him a little more tired than usual. The things a person goes through, while trying to create a life! The clacking keys of the keyboard are soothing in their own way as he focuses on his work, tuning out the other sounds of the office, until a spoken phrase catches his attention.
“Did you hear? Hanni on the fifth floor is pregnant.”
“Wait?!? Isn’t she single?”
“Yes! It was a one time thing I guess! But now she is pregnant and alone! I don’t know how she is going to do it! Babies are so expensive! Diapers, clothes, a stroller, a carrier, a crib– it’s just so much. I don’t know how she is going to do it alone.”
“Oh poor thing. And who is going to want to date someone with a baby? Oh poor thing.”
Seokjin stops typing, his eyes wide as he tries to process what he just heard. His hand drops down to protectively cup his stomach. Are others going to talk about him like that? Oh god– he doesn’t have anything yet for a baby! What is he going to do? He had just gotten used to the idea of being pregnant– he hasn’t even thought of all the other stuff that it entails.
“Seokjin-ssi, are you okay? You look pale,” Chong-il, his deskmate asks him.
“I– I need to take a break.” He stands up from his chair and calmly (more like speed walks) to the bathroom. Luckily he is alone as he gazes into the mirror. Chong-il was right– his color is off. Turning on the faucet, Seokjin splashes some cold water onto his face before gripping the sink in both hands as he stares in the mirror.
What in the hell is he going to do? He doesn’t really have any friends around here. His family lives a ways away. What support system does he have?
Seokjin hears the door to the bathroom open, and he quickly stands, wiping the remaining water drops off his face before he heads out the door. Checking his watch, he decides to take his lunch early– he just needs to get away from the office for a bit; regroup a little.
Returning to his desk, Seokjin quickly grabs his coat and heads to the elevator. His mind whirling with everything, panic setting in. When the cool air hits his face, he pulls his jacket around him a little tighter, head hunkered down he heads for the cafe just around the corner.
While waiting for his order, an egg sandwich and herbal tea, his eyes look over to the bulletin board. Skimming the various advertisements but not really processing what they say. As he goes to look away, his eyes zero in on a particular set of words, prenatal yoga.
Seokjin’s feet move before his mind even realizes what he is doing, his hand reaching out, grabbing the flyer. Maybe this is exactly what he needs– well, not exactly, but it couldn’t hurt to expand his bubble per say. Meet other individuals who are pregnant, gain a new friend or two in the area. What is the saying? ‘Strength in numbers?’
“Order 7-10!” Seokjin quickly folds up the flyer, sticking it into his pocket before grabbing his food.
Even though there is a chill to the air, he elects to eat outside, watching the various people and families as they pass by. Were there so many families before? Or did Seokjin just not notice them? A mother strolls past pushing a stroller. A father walks by with a small child on his shoulder. A pregnant woman holds the arm of her partner as they cross the street.
Pulling out the flyer from his pocket, he takes a closer look. All the very basic information is there. It turns out that the studio isn’t far from Seokjin’s apartment, just a couple bus stops away, plus the fee is reasonable. In the fine print, his eyes catch on a particular phrase. Please consult with your doctor before trying any new type of exercise.
Hm– Mr. Amazing Hands isn’t exactly his doctor, but it would give Seokjin an excuse to talk to him again.

Question.. Is it safe for me to do prenatal yoga
Like it won’t hurt the baby or anything?
Seokjin shoves his phone in his pocket as he heads back to work. He smiles at his coworkers as he makes his way to his desk.
“Ah– Seokjin-ssi, you are looking better. Maybe you just needed some food.”
“Yeah– it must’ve been that.” Seokjin pulls out his phone to see if Mr. Amazing Hands had messaged him back already– but he knows that Yoongi is a busy person. However he is pleasantly surprised to see a new message waiting for him.

Prenatal yoga has many benefits.
I do recommend going to a class, versus trying it on your own at home.
[to: Mr. Amazing Hands]
Thank you!
I found a flyer for a class and thought I might check it out.
Outfitted in a comfortable pair of gray joggers and an oversized black t-shirt, Seokjin dons his favorite pink hoodie before grabbing his bag and heading out the door. On impulse he signed up for the prenatal yoga class, and it’s finally happening. He wanted to cancel so many times, but he already put down the deposit.
It will do you good. Meeting other individuals that are pregnant. You need to expand your little bubble. Ttalgi will need other babies around to socialize with in the future. Seokjin continues to give himself a pep talk, until he finally halts in front of his destination. The little center seems to offer a variety of classes throughout the week: yoga, swimming, dancing, etc. Taking a deep breath and gritting his teeth, Seokjin opens the door and steps inside.
“Welcome!” A cheery voice calls out.
“I am here for the prenatal yoga class. I paid the deposit already. I’m Kim Seokjin.”
“Perfect! You came to the right place! I see here that you already signed the waiver. Do you have any questions?” Seokjin shakes his head no. “Then just go down this hallway here and it’s the second door on the right.”
Of course when Seokjin enters, all he can see are women. Which is to be expected, male carriers were fairly rare after all. He keeps his head down and goes to the corner of the room. Setting down his bag and kicking off his shoes.
Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea. While he deliberates, the room to the door opens and in enters a visibly pregnant male. The man zeros in on Seokjin right away and walks over with a heart shaped smile on their face.
“Finally! I was tired of being the only one in this class. My name is Hoseok! Nice to meet you.”
“Ah– Seokjin.” He holds out his hand.
“I take it this is your first class?” At Seokjin’s nod, he continues. “Oh, you will love it! Jimin, the teacher, does an excellent job. You will feel so relaxed afterwards.” Hoseok continues to chatter away as he sets down his bag. Seokjin follows his motions, grabbing a yoga mat and sitting down beside Hoseok. “How far along are you?”
“About 15 weeks.”
“Do you know what you’re having yet?” Seokjin shakes his head. “Well I’m having twins, one of each.” Hoseok rubs his stomach. “I am 18 weeks along, but it definitely doesn’t look like it.” Hoseok laughs exuberantly, not caring at the looks the others in the class send his way.
Before anything else can be said, the door opens again and in walks a somewhat short individual, however one can tell that he is definitely strong. The man’s blonde hair bounces with each step he takes. This teacher looks utterly adorable and all Seokjin wants to do is squish his cheeks.
“Hello everyone! I see some familiar faces and a couple new ones. Welcome! My name is Jimin and I'll be your instructor. Alright, let’s get started. Follow me. Modify when you need to, don’t be afraid to call out to me if you need any help.”
Seokjin follows along, his muscles relaxing with each stretch. It’s quite enjoyable, and by the end of class, he feels like a pile of goo as he lays in a modified Savasana. How in the world is he supposed to get anything done now? Or move for that matter?
“You okay over there, Seokjin-ssi.” Seokjin opens his eyes, noticing Hoseok is alright sitting upright and smiling over at him.
“You do this multiple times a week? I don't know how you can move after? All I want to do now is sleep.”
“You get used to it. Plus going out for smoothies after helps wake you up. Would you like to join me? There is a place about a block from here.”
“Sure.” Seokjin needs to expand his bubble afterall. Hoseok seems friendly enough and he is a carrier just like him. Together, they wipe down their mats before putting them away. They grab their bags and head out the door, Seokjin following Hoseok’s lead.
And Hoseok was absolutely right– the strawberry banana smoothie was absolutely divine and it perked him right back up. The company wasn’t too bad either. Seokjin felt himself opening up a little bit, but mostly Hoseok talked about himself, which Seokjin definitely did not mind.
“I told my husband, after this, no more kids. We got two at once, no need to go through this a second time. The morning sickness in the beginning was the absolute worst, was yours fairly bad?”
“Oh– I didn’t really have any morning sickness, just some mild nausea every now and again.”
“You lucky bastard.”
Seokjin cannot help but laugh. “I don’t know if I would say that. I did have a fainting spell that landed me in the hospital, but that’s how I found out that I was pregnant. So I guess it was a good thing.” Hoseok’s eyes widened and his jaw dropped in a large ‘O’ as if saying wow. “But Ttalgi and I are both healthy now, and that’s what’s important.”
“Aww– you call your little one Ttalgi ? That’s adorable, I’m guessing your craving has been strawberries, so far?” Seokjin laughs and nods.
They spend roughly an hour in the cafe together, talking, until a familiar face– well, make that two familiar faces, walk in. Before Seokjin can completely comprehend what is going on, Hoseok starts waving his arm, gesturing the two over. How does Hoseok know them?
“Yeobo! Come meet my new friend!” Yeobo? Wait does that mean…
“Seokjin-ssi, this is my husband– Kim Taehyung.” The pit that was growing in Seokjin’s stomach releases. That was a close one, but it still doesn’t explain how Hoseok knows…
“And this is our friend, Min Yoongi.”
“Hello Doctor Kim– Yoongi…” Seokjin gives a polite bow of his head.
“Wait– Doctor Kim? You already know my husband?” Seokjin meekly nods. “I guess that makes sense.” Hoseok’s husband presses a kiss to his cheek before sitting down.
“It’s nice to see you again, hyung, how was yoga?” Yoongi asks as he takes a seat at the table. Yeah– that was a relatively new thing. Seokjin told Yoongi after the first shopping trip to drop the honorifics, that he could call him hyung. It still made his insides feel all floaty when that happened.
“It was good.” Seokjin replies, trying not to laugh at the way Hoseok’s eyes widen as he looks between the pair as if trying to make a puzzle piece fit.
“How do you two know each other?” Hoseok leans forward, bracing his arms on the table.
Seokjin can feel the tips of his ears start to redden, but before he can answer however Yoongi beats him to it.
“We shop at the same market.”
“But, you call him hy… Oh. ” Hoseok leans back in his chair, a smirk on his face. “The same market– interesting .”
“Hobi–” Yoongi warns, his eyes narrowing.
“It’s a small world– like I mean what are the odds? My new friend knows not only my husband, but my best friend as well. If I was a betting man…” Yoongi glares at him, causing Seokjin to laugh. “Well this is perfect then, Yoongi hyung you can take Seokjin-ssi home then, I would hate for him to have to take the bus, especially after such a tiring yoga class. He might fall asleep.”
Seokjin sputters, getting ready to refuse, when Yoongi chimes in, readily agreeing to the request. As the group says their goodbyes. Doctor Kim and Hoseok go to the right, while Yoongi places his hand on the small of Seokjin’s back and leads him to the left. He ignores the butterflies that seem to have taken permanent residence in his stomach.
Chapter Text
Seokjin stands in front of his closet, debating on what to wear. Mr. Amazing Hands has invited him out shopping again– which has turned into a little routine between the two of them. However this time Yoongi asked if Seokjin wanted to eat first. There is this new brunch place that just opened up.
He cannot lie, Seokjin had to ask Yoongi, ‘What in the world is brunch?’ Which is apparently more of a western culture thing, however the concept seems interesting to Seokjin, plus he does enjoy a western style breakfast from time to time. And, let’s just say, when he saw that the online website showed the restaurant’s specialty as strawberry stuffed french toast– Seokjin was sold.
Seokjin holds up various shirts, shaking his head at each one. None of them seem quite right. Looking down at his stomach, he sees quite the protrusion– overnight it seems like his belly just popped. He could get by with his normal clothes, but now it’s starting to feel like all of them are too small.
His new friend, Hoseok, has been embracing the ‘ belly’, wearing cute outfits that accentuate his when they meet up outside of yoga class. Maybe Seokjin needs to man up. He’s still been hiding his pregnancy at work, but the odds of running into this one of his co-workers today is slim to none.
Feeling inspired, Seokjin grabs a yellow turtleneck along with a pair of jeans. Luckily he is able to fasten his jeans below his belly, but the tightness is a reminder that he probably needs to go shopping soon. Looking in the mirror, he can see where the turtleneck hugs his belly– wow, he really does look pregnant.
Gnawing on his lip, Seokjin reaches into his closet, pulling out an oversized gray sweater. After putting it on over top of the turtleneck Seokjin feels much better. You can still tell that he is pregnant, but it is not as obvious. There– that is much better.
“Shit!” Seokjin exclaims as he notices the time, he’s running late. He speeds through his apartment, slipping on his shoes and grabbing his bag before rushing out the door. Once he reaches the apartment lobby, Seokjin slows down, readjusting his shirt before he calmly walks out.
Mr. Amazing Hands is leaning against the passenger side of his parked car, dressed in all black as he mindlessly scrolls on his phone. God, it should be illegal to look that good. Seokjin can feel the heat start to stir within him. The horniness that came during his second trimester, is a bitch. Seokjin could seriously eat him up.
As he gets closer, Yoongi looks up, a small gummy smile appears on his face. “Look who finally decided to show up.”
“Hush. I’m your hyung, you have to respect me.” Yoongi chuckles as he opens the car door for Seokjin, once again making him inwardly swoon. This little crush of his might be starting to get dangerous– cause he finds himself falling more and more for the doctor, each day.
Parking for the restaurant is a little chaotic, so Yoongi drops Seokjin off at the curb while he goes and finds parking. Seokjin stands alone outside the restaurant, reading the menu in the window, even though he’d already looked online earlier– it doesn’t hurt to be prepared.
“There are a lot of options– but I have to say that the mimosa here are to die for.” Seokjin jumps a little at the voice that appears beside him. He looks around, trying to figure out who the man is talking to, but then realizes he is the only other person there. The comment must be meant for him?
“Oh– I don’t know if I have ever had one of those before?”
“Well, I must insist you give it a try. Maybe we can grab one together? My treat.” The man holds out his hand, smiling warmly at Seokjin, a twinkle in his eye. The stranger is fairly good looking, but it doesn’t stir up his insides unlike a certain someone else does.
Seokjin suddenly feels a gentle hand on the small of his back, “I’m afraid, he’s already taken,” comes a familiar deep voice. If Seokjin wore panties, he is sure they would be dropping now. “Are you ready to go in?” Yoongi asks. Wordlessly, Seokjin nods his head– woah, Mr. Amazing Hands looks utterly delicious acting all protective over Seokjin. Not that Seokjin can’t handle himself with the stranger– but still.
Seokjin gives a small smile to the man as Yoongi holds open the door to the restaurant, ushering him inside. Soft ambient light gives the restaurant a cozy feel, teal booths line the walls with white tables and black chairs scattered throughout, jazzy music fills the room.
Feeling a slight pressure on his back, Seokjin snaps back to attention as they follow the hostess to their table. Yoongi helps Seokjin take off his coat, hanging it on the back of the chair before pulling the seat out for Seokjin to sit.
Yep– Seokjin is pretty sure that he is all the way in love now– or pretty darn close. Why does Mr. Amazing Hands have to be like the most perfect man ever?! It’s like he walked right out of Seokjin’s fantasies.
Stop it, Seokjin berates himself. What would an amazing guy like Yoongi want with a pregnant nobody like himself? He should be thankful that Yoongi wants to even spend time with him.
Brunch is a delicious affair. Seokjin ended up gorging himself on strawberry stuffed french toast. He’s pretty sure that at this point he will be able to pass off that he has a food baby, at least.
“Yoongi-yah– I think you will need to roll me out of here.” Seokjin groans.
“That is exactly why we are going shopping after this– to work off what we just ate.”
Seokjin groans, causing Yoongi to laugh. “Okay, I just need to head to the bathroom before we leave.”
After relieving himself, Seokjin exits the bathroom only to find Yoongi waiting for him, Seokjin’s jacket in hand.
“But we still need to pay,” he asks in confusion as Yoongi helps him into his jacket.
“I already settled the bill– we can go.” Yoongi places his hand onto the small of Seokjin’s back (again!) leading them out the door. Seokjin wants to argue with Yoongi, but honestly he is just too stunned to speak. Why would Yoongi pay for his meal like that?
“I’ll go get the car– wait here.”
“I thought you said and I quote, ‘we need to work off what we just ate,’ so why don’t I just walk back with you.” Yoongi opens his mouth to retort but Seokjin quickly shoots back, “I’m pregnant, it doesn’t mean I can’t walk. I’ll be fine.”
Yoongi doesn’t even argue, and the two set off side by side. Once the light turns green at a busy intersection, Seokjin is pushed by another pedestrian slightly, causing him to fall into Yoongi’s side. Yoongi glowers at the offender, wrapping his arm protectively around Seokjin’s waist as they make their way through the rest of the crowd. However, he doesn’t remove his arm until they are all the way back at the car. It leaves Seokjin with a warm feeling.
It’s a relatively quick ride to Merry Little Market, and as they are walking in, Yoongi veers off to grab a cart, while Seokjin waits for him. After their first shopping trip, they’d found it was just easier to share one cart. They both fall into their happy little routine, Yoongi pushing the cart while Seokjin rests his hand on the side, walking alongside it.
The other nice thing about Yoongi is that he doesn’t seem to feel the need to fill the air with useless noise; the two can exist in relative silence and it’s not overbearing. It’s actually quite nice. As they walk through the aisles, Seokjin puts his items in front of the cart, while Yoongi puts his in the back– it all seems to work perfectly.
Later, when they are in the line to check out, an ahjumma in front of them turns around with a smile on her face. “Oh, what a cute couple you are! And you’re expecting! When are you due?”
Seokjin can feel his ears turn beet red, as well as his cheeks heating up. “Oh– I’m about 18 weeks along.”
“Well congratulations, dear. I’m sure your child will be adorable. Both of you are such good looking men.”
He doesn’t even know what to say. But what happens next, shocks him. Yoongi puts his hand on Seokjin’s back, as he comes up beside him. “Thank you, we are very happy.”
The ahjumma gives them another warm smile before paying for her items and leaving. Seokjin feels like he should say something to Yoongi about what happened, but at the same time he doesn’t want to say a word and break the moment. Why would he just go along with the ahjumma like that? Why didn’t he correct her?
Seokjin doesn’t say much on the car ride back home.
***
Seokjin is a little nervous as waits in the waiting room, his hand going to his stomach and rubbing in tiny circles. Today he is going to hear Ttalgi’s heartbeat for the first time. What if something is wrong? What if he’s really not pregnant and it’s just a hysterical pregnancy? His mind is whirling with all the different ways that something could be wrong.
“Kim Seokjin?” A nurse calls out at the open door. Seokjin’s head pops up, he didn’t even hear it open, so lost in his thoughts. He follows the nurse through the door, getting his height and weight checked before he is led to another room. There a set of vitals is taken before he is left alone to his thoughts.
And of course, his mind drifts to Mr. Amazing Hands again and all the time they have been spending together lately. They typically go shopping together every weekend, as well as text multiple times a day. Seokjin admittedly has had an impure thought or two about those hands and what he’d like them to do with his body. The different baby books he read were not lying when they said libido might increase in the second trimester, he is living proof of that. And, the horniess always seems to hit at the most inopportune times!
Just as Seokjin is slipping further into this daydream there’s a knock on the door before it opens.
“Seokjin-ssi, nice to see you again!”
“Hello, Dr. Kim.”
“How is everything going?”
“Good.” Dr. Kim raises his brows. “Well… I guess I’m just a little nervous. Morning sickness has been next to nil. I– um– I eat strawberries a lot. I swear this child might come out as one, with a green leafy top and everything.”
Dr. Kim laughs, “Yes, Yoongi hyung was telling me that he tries to keep you stocked with fresh strawberries. Says you’ve been calling the little one ‘Ttalgi’?”
What? Mr. Amazing Hands talks about him to Dr. Kim? Seokjin can feel his heart start to pick up speed in his chest– what could it mean? Yes, the two of them have been getting closer– but they are just friends, right? Seokjin supposes it’s pretty normal for friends to talk about each other.
“Yes, I call them Ttalgi,” Seokjin rubs his protruding stomach.
Dr. Kim claps his hands together, “That’s actually really cute. Well– let’s get started, shall we? I’ll have you get up onto this table here.” Seokjin does as instructed, “Does it need to be reclined more?” Seokjin shakes his head no. “Okay, I will have you pull up your shirt then, just right over your bump. The gel might be cold, sorry. You’ll feel a little pressure and-”
Seokjin watches the screen, the sudden black, gray, white giving nothing away as the shapes pulsate.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh
“There they are– nice and steady heartbeat.”
Seokjin’s eyes grow wide as he stares at the screen. That– that is his little Ttalgi . Everything suddenly seems more real now as he hears the heartbeat. Before he knows it, tears are welling up in his eyes. This is probably the most magical thing he has ever experienced. He barely notices it when Dr. Kim hands him a tissue.
“I just need to take a couple measurements. Then you will be good to go. The sound of Ttalgi’s heartbeat disappears as Dr. Kim moves the wand to a new spot, the sound replaced by the doctor clicking away on whatever machine he is on. “Alright, everything looks good. Ttalgi is measuring appropriately. I can have a video of the heartbeat recording sent to you if you would like?”
“Yes, please,” his voice comes out soft, still in slight disbelief of hearing his baby’s heartbeat for the first time. Seokijn takes the tissue and dabs at his eyes.
“After 20 weeks, you can find out the baby’s gender. Typically done with a 3D/4D ultrasound. I can refer you to a great place if you are interested? Just something to think about. You don’t have to find out the baby’s gender if you don’t want to.
It hadn’t occurred to Seokjin to start thinking about the baby’s gender yet, he was happy enough to have a healthy baby. But it couldn’t hurt to get more information. “Yes please, I would appreciate it.”
“Certainly, Seokjin-ssi.”
Seokjin leaves the room later, dressed and still slightly dazed, with new sonogram pictures in hand. He makes it all the way outside before he plops down on a bench. His phone alerts in his pocket at the same time, and pulling it out he sees a new message from the doctors office. Clicking on the attached file, the sound of his baby’s heartbeat can be heard, causing him to tear up again.
Without even thinking, he pulls up his text thread with Mr. Amazing Hands and attaches the video. He needed to share this news with someone– and who better than his new friend.
[from: Mr. Amazing Hands]
Is that what i think it is?!?
How are you feeling after that?
It’s almost like Yoongi knows him already.
[to: Mr. Amazing Hands]
To be honest, a little overwhelmed
Like i’m growing a baby
It has a heartbeat and everything
[from: Mr. Amazing Hands]
Where are you?
[to: Mr. Amazing Hands]
Still at the hospital
Sitting outside on a bench
watching the video on repeat…
[from: Mr. Amazing Hands]
I’ll be right there
As Seokjin watches the video for the umpteenth time, a familiar voice greets him.
“There you are.” He looks up to see Yoongi in his white doctor’s coat smiling at him. “We should go grab something to eat to celebrate. This is a big day, after all!”
“Aren't you working?” Seokjin waves his hand at Yoongi, gesturing at the doctor’s coat.
“I’m off soon. If you don’t mind waiting– or I can pick you up at your apartment. How did you get here?”
“Oh, I rode the bus.”
Yoongi frowns. “I’ll see if I can leave a little early. That way I can take you home.”
“Yoongi– I ride the bus all the time.” Mr. Amazing Hands sends him a look. “Fine–,” he laughs, “I can wait.” Right at that same moment, the wind blows, causing Seokjin to pull his coat tighter around himself.
“Come inside with me, for now– you can wait in my office. I promise it won’t be too much longer.” Yoongi holds out his hand. At first Seokjin just stares at it – the object of his many fantasies – before Yoongi wiggles his fingers and Seokjin takes hold.
Once Seokjin is standing upright, they drop hands, but Yoongi still puts his hand on Seokjin’s lower back, leading him carefully back inside and to Yoongi’s office. Seokjin just knows he will be fixating on this later.
Yoongi leaves him in his office as he goes to finish out his shift. Alone, Seokjin walks around admiring the different photos and artwork on the wall. There are several pictures with Hoseok and Taehyung, along with a couple other people that Seokjin doesn’t recognize. Yoongi is so good looking, it’s ridiculous.
It feels like no time has passed at all when Yoongi returns. They leave together, and once outside again, Seokjin finds himself shivering a little in the cold air. But then a scarf appears. He’s surprised as he looks over to see that Yoongi had taken off his own scarf and wrapped it around Seokjin.
“We don’t want you catching a cold. How does ramen sound? I know this great little place…” Seokjin doesn't hear the rest of what Yoongi says, as he can’t stop staring. His hand rises up to touch the soft fabric of the scarf. “Hyung?”
“ Oh – yeah– ramen sounds good to me.”
Yoongi places his hand on Seokjin’s back (again!) and leads them to his car. Seokjin cannot stop staring at the man’s hands as they grip the steering wheel. He subtly tries to squeeze his legs together as the horniness floods him.
“Hyung–”
“Hyung–”
“Seokjin hyung–”
“Sorry, what did you say?” Seokjin looks pointedly at the dashboard, trying to get his mind off those hands.
“I was just asking if you were going to find out the gender or not?”
“I haven’t really thought much about it. I figured I would end up making a pros and cons list and go from there. What do you think?”
“It’s your decision hyung.”
“Hmmm.” Seokjin turns his gaze out the car window so that he won’t be distracted anymore. Plus he needs the horny thoughts to go away so that he can sit through dinner in peace.
And fortunately, by the time they arrive at the ramen place, Seokjin is feeling a little bit calmer and a smidge less horny. For now.
The host leads them to a small table in the corner. They take their time perusing the menu before placing their order with the server. Yoongi must’ve been feeling extra chatty because he was quite literally running the conservation from that point onward. Seokjin was trying to contribute topics— he really was! But Yoongi’s hands, those long knobby fingers, were proving to be too distracting.
And if he thought that once the food arrived it would get better, that was proven to be a lie.
There should be nothing — NOTHING so attractive about eating. But Seokjin felt he was fighting half a chub all dinner long. He was actually thankful when it was over.
In the car, Yoongi looked over to him. “Everything alright, hyung? You were pretty quiet tonight.”
Seokjin could feel his ears start to heat up. He was only quiet at dinner because Yoongi was too damn attractive, with his smart words and those amazing hands of his. “Uh— I guess I just have a lot on my mind. Wondering if I should find out the gender or not, and that sort of thing.”
“It’s a big decision.”
“Yeah—” Seokjin honestly hasn’t thought about it at all. But he needed an excuse for why he was so quiet.
“We’re still on for this weekend, hyung?” Yoongi asks as he pulls the car up to the curb to drop Seokjin off.
“Of course.”
Seokjin makes sure to walk normally to his apartment building. He turns to wave at Yoongi before calmly walking in the door. Once out of sight, Seokjin makes a beeline for the elevator, almost contemplating running up the stairs to get to his apartment quicker.
The elevator door opens and he rushes inside, hitting the button for his floor and then spamming the one to close the doors. He needs to get to his apartment pronto. When the elevator doors open again he books it down the hallway, inputting his code and barging in.
He kicks off his shoes before heading straight to the bathroom, stripping as he goes. Moving quickly, he adjusts the water to the perfect temp before stepping under the spray, his hand immediately finding his hard cock.
One stroke.
Two strokes.
Those damn knobby fingers.
“Ngh— fuck.”
And Seokjin finds his release, the shower washing away all evidence of it. He has one hand resting on the shower wall as he stands there panting. That was intense.
From there he finishes washing up for the night, putting on his comfiest pair of clothes before crawling into bed. His face lights up when he sees a message from Mr Amazing Hands waiting for him.
***
Seokjin arrived at the Sweet Pea Ultrasound Center a little early, he gave his name to the worker at the front desk and checked in. He took a seat in the lobby, his foot jumping up and down, as his nerves settled in. After making a list of pros and cons and seeking out Hoseok’s opinion, he ultimately decided to go ahead and find out the gender of Ttalgi today. Better to be prepared than underprepared.
He checks his phone, then the clock on the wall, trying to will time to move faster. At the sound of the door opening to the center, Seokjin turns his head. Not that he was expecting anybody in particular, more so because it’s the natural thing you do when something like that happens.
But the sight that greets him has his heart quite literally stopping in his chest. Because the person that just entered looks an awful lot like Mr Amazing Hands, but that cannot be the case right— because what in the world would Yoongi be doing here?
Okay, so maybe Seokjin might have said something in passing about being nervous about the appointment today. Let’s be honest— he’s mentioned it a lot. But, outside of some verbal assurances, he never expected Yoongi to do something about it. He was just voicing his feelings out loud.
Now, he watches as Yoongi looks around the lobby before spotting Seokjin, his face lighting up in recognition as he strolls over.
“Good, you’re still here. I was worried that you would’ve been called back already.”
“What are you doing here?”
”Well, I figured that you didn’t want to do this alone— what with how often you were mentioning it and everything. I thought I would come offer some support, but if you don’t want me to go back with you, that’s fine too. I can wait out here. I—- I just didn’t want you to be alone today.”
Seokjin can feel the tears welling up in his eyes, which causes Yoongi’s eyes to widen in panic. But before either of them could say something…
”Kim Seokjin?” A worker in soft pink scrubs calls out.
Seokjin stands up from his seat, his hand moving to cup his belly, his other free hand grabbing a hold of Yoogni’s wrist and pulling him along. Because Yoongi was right, Seokjin really didn’t want to do this alone. He wanted someone else with him— he wanted Yoongi.
Together they follow the worker into a cheery yellow room with images of various 3D/4D ultrasound photos on the wall.
“The technician will be with you shortly. Have a seat.” The worker says before leaving the room.
Not letting go of Yoongi’s wrist, they have a seat on the waiting chairs. Yoongi doesn’t try to pull away, rather he lets Seokjin have control of his arm. He doesn’t say a word– but he doesn’t have to. His presence is comforting enough.
Within minutes there is a knock on the door; the ultrasound technician has arrived. She goes through what to expect with the ultrasound. Seokjin only half pays attention, as he can feel his nerves ramping back up. His hand lets go of Yoongi’s wrist for a moment, however Yoongi’s hand falls to Seokjin’s leg, giving it a firm squeeze at the knee.
“Are you ready Seokjin-ssi?”
Yoongi gives Seokjin’s knee another firm squeeze before letting go, letting Seokjin stand up and walk over to the exam table on his own. He goes through the motions of lifting up his shirt. He barely flinches when the cool gel hits his stomach. There is slight pressure of the wand over his skin, then a somewhat clear image starts to appear on the screen.
He hears a gasp behind him. He hadn’t even realized that Yoongi had come to a stand behind him.
”Alright, this little one is in the perfect position to check the sex. Almost like they wanted their picture taken. We might want to take advantage of the fact the baby is cooperating– are you ready to find out the gender?”
Seokjin reaches his hand up behind him and Yoongi immediately takes hold of it. He glances over his shoulder with a nervous smile, only to find Yoongi giving him a reassuring smile of his own. Then, turning back to the technician, he gives a short nod of his head.
“Alright it looks like here that this little one is a ….”
Chapter Text
After that day at the ultrasound center, Seokjin found himself growing even closer to Yoongi. He was there to hold his hand and comfort him after he— well when they found out Ttalgi’s gender. Yoongi has truly become his rock and one of his best friends. Even though sometimes Seokjin feels less than friendly towards him.
They still have their weekly shopping dates but now they have dinner a couple times a week. Sometimes going out but oftentimes cooking and eating together at Seokjin’s apartment. It was all rather quite domestic— adorable in a way. Seokjin had never had a friend quite like Yoongi before.
But the other thing it was– well, it was horny! Having Yoongi– those hands in his space all the time was making Seokjin perpetually horny. He wonders if it is normal to jack off the amount of times that he has been lately. Is it safe for the baby? Watching Yoongi handle a knife, those fingers curling around the handle— well let’s just say that Seokjin has a pretty vivid imagination and he can imagine those fingers curling around something else.
Needless to say— Seokjin was taking a lot of (cool) showers.
But the straw that broke the camel’s back was tonight when Seokjin felt Ttalgi kicking for the first time. Yoongi just so happened to be there and, without thinking, Seokjin grabbed a hold of Yoongi’s hands and placed them on his stomach, moving them around when he felt the direction of the flutter change.
“Do you feel that?”
“Feel what?” Yoongi’s cheeks look a little flushed as he tries to move his hands away, but Seokjin holds firmly.
“Ttalgi is moving or kicking. It’s real soft-like. Can you feel it?”
Yoongi’s fingers splay over Seokjin’s stomach before he removes them. “It’s normal for the carrier to feel the kicks first– it’s still a little too early for me to be feeling them.”
Now Seokjin is the one that looks a little flushed, “Oh. Sorry about that. I guess I was just a little bit too excited.”
However, a couple of weeks later, Seokjin can tell without a doubt that the kicks are getting stronger. And once again he doesn’t hesitate to grab one of Yoongi’s hands and place it on his stomach– this time the location is different. They are in the Merry Little Market during one of their weekly shopping trips.
At first Yoongi did try to pull his hand away, but then Ttalgi lands a swift kick and Seokjin watches as Yoongi’s eyes widened in wonder. His other hand soon joins the one already on Seokjin's stomach. “Is this– is this what I think it is?” Then Ttalgi kicks again and he grips a little harder. “Ttalgi is really kicking?”
“Ttalgi is kicking.” Seokjin confirms, a smile on his face.
Together they stand there in the aisle, taking everything in. Yoongi’s hand follows Ttalig’s kicks until they come to a stop. Then Yoongi looks up, his eyes meeting Seokjin’s and it’s like time stops. Seokjin didn’t realize how close Yoongi had gotten. It wouldn’t take much for their lips to meet– not much at all. Yoongi looks like he wants to move closer, but the sound of something dropping makes them jump apart.
Seokjin knows that his ears are red now, but he refuses to look over towards Yoongi to see how he is faring. Stupid, stupid, stupid– you cannot ruin the one good relationship you have going on. He’s just your friend. It doesn’t matter how amazing those hands look or how good looking he is. He doesn’t want you like that.
Even with that one little blip it doesn’t change things between them, much to Seokjin’s relief. They continue to spend the majority of their time with one another and Seokjin cannot help himself; he finds himself falling a little more each time, but knows that he will never act on his feelings. He doesn’t want to risk losing his friend.

As time passes, Seokjin can no longer hide his pregnancy at work. Rather than feel ashamed– Seokjin decides to embrace it. Wearing cute maternity tops that accentuate his bump and such. He completes all the required paperwork for his upcoming time off, ignoring the snide looks and comments from his less than favorable coworkers.
Thankfully his fellow coworker Namjoon has his back. Namjoon transferred into Seokjin’s department a couple weeks back and they became fast friends. Namjoon doesn’t care at all that Seokin is ‘pregnant and alone.’ In fact, Namjoon cared more about the delicious smells of Seokjin’s leftovers he ate for lunch. Plus they just clicked seamlessly together.
“Hyung!” Namjoon lights up when Seokjin places a portion of his leftovers on the man’s plate.
“Ah– Namjoon-ah, it’s nothing. I had more than enough. Yoongi went a little overboard.”
“When am I going to meet this partner of yours? All I hear about is Yoongi this and Yoongi that.” Namjoon says between bites of food.
Flustered, Seokjin looks down at his food. “Oh…he’s not my partner,” he mumbles. “We’re just good friends.”
“Hyung–” Seokjin refuses to look up.
“Hyung–” His food is looking pretty interesting right now. Maybe Namjoon will just let it go.
“Hyung– will you look at me?” Sighing Seokjin looks up. “Are you sure you're just friends? From everything you tell me about Yoongi , you guys seem more like a couple than friends. You go shopping together, have dinner together. It just seems more than a little bit friendly to me.”
“He’s just been with me since the beginning. Have I told you how we met?” Namjoon shakes his head. “I passed out at the grocery store and Yoongi was the one that took care of me. He was actually the first one to tell me that I was pregnant. And well– our friendship just continued to develop after that.”
“And you don’t have feelings for him?”
Seokjin refuses to answer. He doesn’t want to speak it outloud– to jinx it. So he remains mum. Namjoon shakes his head, but in the end he takes the hint and changes the subject to something else.
***
Seokjin and Hoseok are sitting on their yoga mats resting after class, using a towel to wipe at their brows. Seokjin is surprised that Hoseok is still coming to class as he looks ready to pop at any moment– the curse of having twins.
“You still game to get our afterclass smoothies?” Hoseok asks. “Taehyung is going to meet us there. We are going to go register for the baby shower afterwards.”
“Of course– I have nothing planned for today, except shopping with Yoongi later on.” Hoseok wiggles his eyebrows and Seokjin throws his sweaty towel at him.
Together they clamber to their feet, putting away their things and grabbing their bags. Just as they are getting ready to leave, a familiar face enters the studio.
“Namjoon!” Seokjin calls out in shock, “What are you doing here?”
“Oh– hiya, Seokjin hyung! I’m just meeting up with my partner.” Namjoon moves to walk towards them, but soon has his arms filled with what Seokjin assumes is his partner.
“Joonie! I’ve missed you!”
Seokjin wasn’t expecting that. He watches as his yoga teacher, Jimin, presses kisses all over Namjoon’s face. What a coincidence. What are the odds that his new friend at work would be dating his yoga teacher?
Jimin pulls away with a smile on his face but keeps his arms wrapped around Namjoon’s waist. He looks over to see Seokjin and Hoseok looking at them. “Joonie? Do you know my students?”
“Just Seokjin hyung– we work together. Remember I’ve told you about him.” Understanding passes over Jimin’s face.
“Hi! I’m Hoseok but you can call me Hobi.” Hoseok reaches out his hand, introducing himself. “We were just heading out to get our afterclass smoothies. Why don’t you join us?”
Namjoon and Jimin readily agreed and together they head over to the cafe. Seokjin is excitedly bouncing on his feet as he waits for his strawberry smoothie. It’s one of the highlights of his week. Conversation between the four of them flows easily, Namjoon and Hoseok getting along far better than Seokjin could ever imagine.
Seokjin looks around the table, taking it all in. Is this what it was like to have friends? He was so used to being alone, being surrounded by others was rather quiet nice. So absorbed in having a good time– Seokjin didn’t realize how much time had passed until Taehyung showed up.
“There you are.” Taehyung leans down, pressing a kiss to Hoseok’s cheek before pulling up a chair. Hoseok quickly introduces him to the others.
Not long after Taehyung’s arrival. Yoongi shows up, he waves over at the table before heading to the counter to place his order. Seokjin glances at Hoseok and Namjoon whispering to each other, Hoseok with a smirk on his face. Oh this isn’t good . Who knows what Hoseok is telling Namjoon??
Food and drink in hand, Yoongi introduces himself to the table before pulling over a chair to sit beside Seokjin.
“What’s this?” Seokjin asks as Yoongi delicately pushes a slice of cake in front of him.
“Some type of strawberry cake. They just brought it out. I figured Ttalgi would like some– we both know how much she likes strawberries.”
“Yoongi-yah–” Seokjin whines as his ears start to redden.
“See– I told you,” Seokjin hears Hoseok say to Namjoon, elbowing him in the side. The two giggle before Hoseok shoots forward in his seat, his eyes boring into Seokjin, “Wait! Did Yoongi just say she !”
Seokjin shoots Yoongi a look, his face goes pale. “Yes– you heard right.” He places his hand on his bump. “Little Ttalgi here is a girl.”
The whole table squeals and congratulations are thrown around. Namjoon and Jimin are the first to leave, but both ask to get together again soon. Next are Taehyung and Hoseok– Hoseok bemoaning the fact that they need to go register for baby gifts.
“Oh– we should probably do that too, soon,” Yoongi retorts. “Ttalgi will be here before you know it. Best to be prepared.”
Seokjin avoids the look that Hoseok sends his way as he’s walking toward the door of the shop.
It’s nothing. It’s just Yoongi being friendly, that’s all. No need to look any deeper into it.
***
After weeks of Yoongi cajoling him– Seokjin finally agrees to go shopping for Ttalgi, knowing that he probably cannot push it off any longer. Plus it feels like Seokjin has doubled in size, his bump even more prominent now. And with all the kicking Ttalgi does, Seokjin goes back and forth between her being a footballer or a dancer. His poor bladder takes the brunt of it.
Yoongi, of course insists on picking him up– still not a fan of Seokjin taking public transportation in his state. He has even taken it upon himself to drop off and pick Seokjin up from his yoga classes. And Yoongi is as protective as ever when they are out and about, staying close to Seokjin and often leaving his hand on Seokjin’s lower back.
It’s just what a good friend does– right?
They are the first store when a saleswoman comes up to them.
“Hello sirs. Anything I can help you with today?”
“We are looking for a crib. Dark in color. One that is convertible.” Yoongi answers.
“Right this way.” They follow the saleswoman as she points out the different types of cribs they offer. Yoongi asks questions and nods his head along at the answers. Seokjin watches in awe– he didn’t realize that so much thought went into picking out a crib. Plus it was actually quite hot, seeing Yoongi taking charge like that.
While Yoongi and the saleswoman are discussing specs. Seokjin gets distracted by the plushies and blankets. There is the cutest strawberry plushie set, and it comes with a matching blanket. He runs his fingers over them, marveling at the softness. Seokjin debates whether or not he should purchase them, but ultimately decides not to. He only budgeted to spend money on the crib and a couple other necessities today.
“That set would be perfect for Ttalgi.” Seokjin looks over to see Yoongi standing beside him.
“It would.” Seokjin runs his hands over the plushies and blankets one last time before stepping back. “Maybe a different time. Did you decide on a crib?”
Together they walk over to the saleswoman, Yoongi points out the best narrowed down options. Seokjin looked over the details and the price tags before settling on one. While he’s at the counter settling the bill and setting up delivery, Yoongi disappears. Then, just as Seokjin gets done with everything– Yoongi reappears.
“Ready for the next store, hyung?”
“Next?”
“Well, yeah– I kind of have a whole plan.” Yoongi tells Seokjin as he leads them out of the first store and into the next one.
Several hours later, Seokjin is utterly exhausted and his feet are swollen from all the walking and standing. Yoongi drops him off at his apartment, watching to make sure he makes it inside before taking off.
Seokjin (gently) throws himself onto the couch, immediately propping his feet up over the armrest, rubbing his bump periodically. Ttalgi was especially active today. Hopefully she calms down soon.
***
After a good night’s sleep, Seokjin awakes feeling well rested. And now he impatiently waits for the deliveries to show up, eager to start putting things into their places. He opens the door to his spare room, looking around. A couple weekends back, Yoongi had insisted on painting the room a soft cream color for him, relegating Seokjin to the living room due to the fumes.
Looking around, Seokjin can almost imagine it. The crib over by the window there, the changing table on that wall, the dresser next to the changing table and the bookshelf near the door. Now he just needs the things to arrive, so he can put that plan into action.
The doorbell rings and Seokjin waddles over to answer it, not at all surprised to see Yoongi standing there. He already told Seokjin a dozen times that he didn’t want him lifting anything heavy— but that meant he would need some help with getting things put together.
“I brought bagels and strawberry cream cheese.” Yoongi says, holding up a bag before strolling into the apartment. He heads straight for the kitchen, already well acquainted where everything is located.
“The delivery people are not going to be here for another couple hours.”
Yoongi shrugs as he hands Seokjin his bagel with the perfect amount of cream cheese. “How are your feet after yesterday?”
“Better but still a little swollen.” Seokjin eagerly devours his bagel before setting the plate down on the coffee table.
“I have a solution for that.” Yoongi takes a seat on the end of the couch away from Seokjin before patting his lap. “Give them here.”
“What?!?” Seokjin asks with his eyes wide.
“Give me your feet, come on now, hyung.” Yoongi pats his lap again.
Confused Seokjin wiggles himself around so that his back is resting on the arm of the couch, he carefully puts his legs over Yoongi’s lap. Without missing a beat, Yoongi grabs Seokjin’s right foot in his hand and starts massaging the instep with small circles of his thumb, before making sweeping motions with his fingers towards Seokjin’s ankle.
Seokjin watches with rapt attention, his eyes locked on those fingers– the fingers that are now touching him. He can already feel himself getting heated, hoping to god he doesn’t pop a boner right here and now. When Yoongi moves to Seokjin’s left foot, he lets out a shuddering breath. He tilts his head back on the couch trying to gain some semblance of control. Maybe if he is not looking at Yoongi it will not affect it as much.
Those long, knobby fingers digging into his skin. Those fingers touching him. Seokjin is about ready to throw in the towel, he doesn’t know how much more he can take— when he feels Yoongi’s hands leave him.
“Do they feel any better?” Yoongi asks.
“Uh–” Seokjin clears his throat, “Yeah– they feel a lot better thank you.”
“Anytime,” Yoongi replies with a gummy grin. “Just let me know when you need my magic fingers again,” he says with a wiggle of his hands.
Seokjin tries to cover up the choked noise that leaves him at that moment, covering his mouth with his hand. Yoongi grabs the remote, pulling up the drama they have been watching together on the tv, while they wait for the deliveries to arrive.
After a couple hours, the delivery guys finally arrive. Seokjin instructs the workers to drop the bags and boxes off in the spare room. Yoongi immediately gets to work unboxing things and putting them together. Seokjin watches from the doorway fondly.
Yoongi takes a break around lunchtime, so they can eat together, before getting back to work building the big items. Seokjin begins to unpack the other bags, wanting to wash some of the clothes he has bought and get them put away. However he freezes when he pulls out the strawberry plushie set with the matching blanket that he had seen at the store. He didn’t purchase this? He looks into a couple more bags– finding other things that he definitely did not buy.
“Yoongi-yah– I think the stores messed up.” Seokjin says, turning around to face him, bags in hand. “I– I didn’t buy all this.”
Yoongi looks up from where he is putting the crib together. “Oh– I bought those.”
“You what?”
“For Ttalgi. I saw you eyeing various things and, of course, they would be perfect for her. So I bought them. Consider them an early baby shower gift.”
“But Yoongi-yah– this is too much.” Seokjin can feel the tears start to well up. Stupid hormones.
“Nonsense.” Yoongi walks over and wraps Seokjin up in a hug.
The rest of the day is spent with Yoongi putting together the crib and other big items. Afterwards Seokjin instructs him on where he wants things to go, not even complaining once when Seokjin has him move the same thing over and over.
They order take out for dinner, watching another episode of their drama before Yoongi finally heads home.
Seokjin goes through his nighttime routine, making sure to stop by Ttalgi’s room to take everything in. It is already better than he could imagine. And honestly, he has Yoongi to thank for that. Him and those amazing hands of his. Which causes Seokjin to remember the other thing that happened this morning…
Spinning on his heel, Seokjin makes a beeline for the bathroom, it looks like he is in need of another shower before bed.
***
Begrudgingly, Seokjin has somehow agreed to a ‘baby shower,’ or rather a ‘diaper party,’ at Hoseok and Namjoon’s insistence. Sometimes Seokjin regrets ever introducing those two together, but then again he remembers what life was like before them and decides to just deal with it. It’s actually quite nice having friends like this.
And if his friends insisted on having a diaper party, Seokjin just wanted it to be their core little group. He sat in the living room, relegated to a chair while the others were spread out around him. Everyone except for Yoongi, who was busy making trips back and forth from the living room to kitchen, making sure everyone had one they needed.
Seokjin tried to help, but Yoongi shooed him away. Which caused Hoseok and Namjoon to snigger behind their hands. When will those two get it through their thick skulls that Yoongi and him are just friends.
As Yoongi gets settled into the chair beside Seokjin, the doorbell rings. They look at each other in confusion— everyone that is supposed to be here is already here. So who could be at the door?
Before Seokjin can get up, Yoongi waves him off. “I got it.” After setting down his plate, Yoongi heads for the door. Seokjin hears the door open, then a murmur of voices talking before he hears Yoongi call out, “Seokjin?”
Seokjin pushes himself up to his feet, waddling to the hall, but he can’t get a good look at whoever is at the door because Yoongi is still standing directly in front of him. “Who is it, Yoongi-yah?”
Yoongi steps off to the side and Seokjin’s eyes widen in shock. Because standing at the door with a bottle of wine in hand is someone that Seokjin hasn’t seen for close to 8 months now, his hands immediately go to his bump.
“Jungkook?”
Chapter Text
“Hyung?!?” Jungkook’s eyes grow wide as they focus on Seokjin’s hand on his bump. Right at that moment, Ttalgi gives a fierce kick, causing Seokjin to wince slightly.
“Jungkook, what are you doing here?” Seokjin asks, rubbing at his belly, hyperaware that Yoongi is still standing beside him.
“To see you.” Jungkook holds up the bottle of wine. “I just got back in town, but I guess I’m a little late…” He points to Seokjin’s stomach.
“We should probably talk.” Seokjin says to Jungkook, then he turns to Yoongi. “Yoongi-yah, can you grab my sweater for me please?” Yoongi’s face is blank, not betraying a single thought but he does as Seokjin asks, even going so far as to help him slide his arms into the sweater. Seokjin gives him a grateful smile before turning his attention back to Jungkook. “Let’s go outside.”
Jungkook hands off the bottle to Yoongi before gesturing at Seokjin to lead the way. They are silent as they make their way outside. Feeling eyes on him, Seokjin glances up and sees his friend’s faces in the window before they disappear. Shaking his head, he walks over to a bench, taking a seat. Jungkook follows suit.
“So.” Seokjin fingers tap a pattern on his stomach.
“So.” Jungkook’s eyes drift over to Seokjin’s moving fingers.
“I found out that I was pregnant about six months ago. And at that point… I was already two months along.” Jungkook’s mouth makes a silent ‘o.’
“So that means…”
“Yep.” Seokjin replies, nodding his head.
“Wow.”
“Yeah.”
“Were you going to tell me?” Jungkook asks.
“I didn’t know how to find you. And, in all honesty, I never thought I would see you again. I knew what we had. It was a summer fling. And I never even thought I could get pregnant. I promise I didn’t lie to you about that. I was just as surprised as you are now when I found out.”
“What now?”
“You can be in her life as much as you want. I would never stop you from seeing her. But at the same time, if you want to walk away, I won’t hold that against you. You didn’t ask for any of this.”
“Her?”
Seokjin smiles as he looks down at his stomach. “Yeah– I’m having a little girl, Ttalgi.”
“You know… I can kind of already see it.” Jungkook chuckles, “You would be a girl dad. A good one at that.” Then his face takes a serious tone. “And I would be the fun uncle . I don’t think I’m cut out to be a dad. My– my music.” He shrugs his shoulders. “My band– we just got signed by a record label.”
“Congrautions.” Seokjin says, and he means it. “And I think you would make an excellent uncle, and Ttalgi would be lucky to have you as one.”
“Your boyfriend won’t mind?”
“Boyfriend?”
“The guy who answered the door.”
Seokjin laughed. “He’s not my boyfriend. He’s just a really good friend.”
Now it’s Jungkook’s turn to laugh. “Hyung, I promise you he doesn’t look at you like a friend. He’s protective of you. Did you see the death glare he was sending me?”
Seokjin scoffs. “Yoongi doesn’t like me that way.”
Jungkook rolls his eyes, “But you like him,” and then laughs at the look Seokjin sends him. “Have you told him that you like him?”
“Jungkook, have you seen me?” Seokjin waves his hands over his body, “I’m eight months pregnant.”
“You’re still handsome, hyung. Pregnant or not. If anything you have a certain glow about you now. You should talk to him, sooner rather than later.” Jungkook pats his thigh. “It looks like I interrupted something earlier, like you were having a party or something?”
“Oh– my friends are having a diaper party for me.” Seokjin smiles to himself, still slightly in awe that he has friends now. And good ones at that.
“I see. Well I’ll let you get back to your party then. Here,” Jungkook hands over his phone, “put your number in.” Seokjin takes it, inputting the number before calling himself and handing it back over. Then Jungkook comes to a stand, holding out his hands and pulling Seokjin up. “It really was great seeing you again.”
“It was good to see you too, Jungkook.”
“Am I able to have a hug before I go?”
“Of course.” Seokjin holds open his arms and Jungkook steps forward. Well, as close as he can get with Ttagli sticking out. He presses his lips to Seokjin’s cheek before stepping away.
“Maybe I’ll see you around?”
“Maybe,” Seokjin smiles. “Don’t be a stranger. Goodbye, Jungkook.”
“Goodbye, hyung.” Seokjin watches Jungkook as he walks off, remaining where he stands until Jungkook is out of sight.
Sighing he rubs at his lower back before he slowly waddles his way back inside. Once he enters his apartment, it’s suspiciously quiet. When he gets to the living room, everyone is looking around.
“I saw you lot– looking out the window. Subtlety is not your strong suit.” Seokjin plops down onto his couch. “Ask your questions.” He looks around the room, noticing that Yoongi is absent, causing him to frown.
“Well, I’ll ask the tough one first. Who was that?” Hoseok gets straight to the point.
“That was Jungkook. He is, um–” Seokjin isn’t quite sure what to say. Finally deciding on the term, “the sperm dono..r.” Hoseok shoots him a look. “We were together last summer. It was a fling, we both knew it. After the summer it ended, I never thought I would see him again.”
“And does he want to be in Ttagli’s life?”
“Yes–” Seokjin’s head cranes around when he hears a crash in the kitchen. “Well, sort of. He’ll be in her life as the ‘fun uncle,’ he has no desire to be a dad. He has his music which sounds like it's taking off.” He finishes rather quickly, his attention still towards the kitchen. What is Yoongi doing? Is he okay in there?
“And are you okay with that, hyung?” Namjoon asks as Seokjin turns his attention back to his friends.
“Why wouldn’t I be? I was going to have this baby regardless of what he thought. And I gave him a choice. I can’t fault him for his decision. He did what was best for him. And I get it– ya know? If he wants to be a fun uncle, then I’ll let him be the fun uncle. Like I said before, I truly thought I would never see him again. I was fully prepared to go at this alone.”
“So that hug out there?”
“What about it? We were just saying goodbye.” Seokjin says with a shrug.
Before another question could be asked, Hoseok lets out a soft whine, pulling the attention to him.
“I don’t mean to cut this party short but, uh, yeobo– I think my water just broke.”
Seokjin watches as Taehyung’s eyes widen, his face going white as a sheet. And to think that this man was his OB-GYN. Hopefully that doesn’t happen when it is time for him to have Ttalgi.
“Oh. Oh– we need to get going! But we don’t have any of our stuff. The go bag is at the apartment! Yoongi! YOONGI!” Taehyung starts yelling.
Yoongi runs into the living in a panic. “Wha– what is it?”
“Well, it looks like the twins decided they’ve had enough and are ready to come out.” Hoseok announced calmly. Holding his hand out, Yoongi immediately walks over and helps pull him to his feet. “Tae is going to drive us to the hospital, but I need you to stop by the apartment and get my bag. It’s the pink LV bag sitting by the entryway door.”
“Of course.” Yoongi agrees right away.
“Come on, yeobo. Let’s go meet our babies.” Hoseok is smiling as Taehyung kisses him. “Bye, Jin hyung.”
“Bye guys– keep us updated!” Seokjin watches as they leave, feeling a little hurt that Yoongi didn’t say anything to him. He turns his attention to the two people that are left. “You guys don’t need to stick around, if you need to get going, feel free. I’m just gonna clean up in here a little bit.”
“Do you really think we are going to let you clean up? All by yourself? Think again, hyung.” Namjoon says as he gets to his feet. “Jimin and I will clean up while you sit there.”
“But–”
“This isn’t an argument that you are going to win,” Jimin says, patting his knee. “Just let it happen. Besides, you haven’t gotten to eat anything yet. I’ll bring you a plate.”
Seokjin remains relegated to the couch, a plate of food balanced on his belly as he watches Jimin and Namjoon tidy up. He checks his phone every couple minutes, hoping to see a message from Yoongi but getting disappointed every time he doesn’t.
Just as Namjoon and Jimin are finishing up, his phone vibrates, and he just about knocks the plate off his stomach in a hurry to get to it. He frowns when it only turns out to be a selfie of Hoseok and Taehyung, still no word from Yoongi.
“Aww, how cute,” Jimin exclaims. Seokjin takes a second look and realizes that their message was sent to the group chat.
“Are you going to be okay if we leave, hyung?”
“Yeah– we can always stay a little longer if needed.”
“No– no, I’m fine.” Seokjin waves them off. “If anything, I am a little people’d out and need some time to myself. Thank you for everything. Really, this was all wonderful.”
They say their goodbyes and Seokjin waves them off, the smile dropping from his face as soon as they are out the door. He rubs his hand along his stomach where Ttalgi is kicking. Today has been a whirlwind, that is for sure. He grabs his phone checking it once again, still no word from Yoongi. Deflated he plops down on his couch.
Maybe Jungkook is right– he should talk to Yoongi about how he is feeling. But at the same time, he doesn’t want to ruin their friendship with his feelings and Yoongi has become such an integral part of his life, he couldn’t imagine life without him.
Seokjin tries to get lost in whatever movie is playing on the television, but his mind just won’t quit. Hoseok keeps sending updates to the group chat but still nothing from Yoongi…
Feeling exhausted from the day, Seokjin goes through his nighttime routine and heads to bed early. He is asleep before he even realizes it– missing the new message that appears on his phone.
[from Mr. Amazing Hands]
We need to talk…
***
Seokjin is awakened the next morning by someone knocking at his door. Groggily, he throws his robe around him as he waddles to answer it, glancing at the clock and wondering who in the world is knocking this early. He peeps through the keyhole, surprised to see Yoongi standing there.
“Yoongi-yah?” He asks, opening the door. “What are you doing here so early?”
“I– I brought muffins.” Yoongi holds up the bag from Seokjin’s favorite bakery. Wordlessly Seokjin steps off to the side, allowing Yoongi to enter.
They walk to the kitchen in silence, Yoongi heading to the cabinet to get some plates and glasses, so at home in Seokjin’s kitchen these days. Seokjin takes a seat at the bar.
“I take it you didn’t see my message?” Yoongi places a strawberry muffin and glass of orange juice in front of him.
“Sorry– I’ve been asleep. Did Hoseok have the twins?”
“Yep, a little boy and girl. Everyone is doing well.”
“That’s good. I’m so happy everything went well for them.” Seokjin murmurs before taking a bite. He doesn’t like this awkward feeling between them. Not one bit. He is not sure what has changed, but he wants it to go back to how it was before. “So, what was it you sent me? What did I miss?”
“I think we need to talk.”
Seokjin places the muffin back down on his plate, a pit forming low in his stomach. The words that no one ever wants to hear. Is this where Yoongi breaks off their friendship? Where he decides he doesn’t want to be a part of his, well their - he places his hand on his stomach - lives anymore.
“I–” Yoongi starts, pauses, reaching out for his own glass of orange juice, taking a long swallow before trying again. “I like you, Seokjin. Like a lot. I– I want to be a part of Ttalgi’s life– your life. I want to take you out. I want to kiss you…”
“What?” Seokjin asks incredulously, his eyes growing wide. What is Yoongi even saying right now?
Yoongi walks over to him, taking Seokjin’s hand into his own. Seokjin cannot even freak out about Yoongi’s hands at the moment because his brain is still processing what Yoongi is saying.
“Hyung– I want to be with you. I’ve liked you for months now, ever since I saw you in the Merry Little Market. I wanted to ask you out back then but then– ya know, everything happened. Everything was chaotic, but then we became friends, grew closer. I wanted to ask you out but I’ve been so afraid that it would ruin things between us.”
Seokjin is stunned. Yoongi likes him– him, Kim Seokjin. Very pregnant Kim Seokjin. Yoongi just confessed his feelings to him!
Yoongi pulls his hand away from Seokjin, taking his stunned silence as a refusal, but Seokjin can’t have him thinking that.
On instinct, Seokjin reaches out, grabbing a hold of Yoongi’s arm and pulling him back towards him. Next grabbing a hold of Yoongi’s shirt and pulling him down into a kiss. Their lips smacking together.
Seokjin swears that there are sparks– fireworks– horns playing. It’s magic and more. Far beyond anything Seokjin could ever imagine. So much better in fact.
Yoongi steps closer to him, those amazing hands coming up to cup Seokjin’s face, deepening the kiss even further. Seokjin moans and greedily takes more, his grip tightening on Yoongi’s shirt.
When the need for air finally wins out, Seokjin pulls away first, panting as he rests his forehead against Yoongi’s.
“I– I like you too, if you couldn’t tell.”
Yoongi chuckles, pressing a kiss to Seokjin’s forehead then his nose, before pulling away. His full gummy smile on display.
Ttalgi feels like she is break dancing in Seokjin’s stomach. He grabs Yoongi’s hand, placing it over the spot she keeps kicking at. “I would \say Ttalgi approves.”
Smiling, Yoongi leans forward, pressing his lips against Seokjin’s in a sweet kiss. Before sinking to his knees and pressing a kiss to Seokjin’s stomach. “Don’t think I have forgotten about you little one.”
If it was possible for a person to melt, Seokjin is sure that he would’ve done it right then and there. But now, Yoongi being on his knees, is making Seokjin feel a certain type of way. He can feel his body starting to respond to Yoongi’s proximity. He nervously coughs into his fist, averting his gaze.
Yoongi chuckles knowingly and gets to his feet. “Finish your breakfast... and maybe after we can do some other things,” he says with a wink.
***
“Oh fuck,” Seokjin moans out, his hands gripping the pillows supporting his chest tightly. “Ngh!” He buries his face into the bed trying to hide his cries. Letting out a whine when Yoongi pulls away from him.
“None of that now.” Yoongi says huskily with a small slap to his ass. “I want to hear how you sound. You know I love the noises that you make.” He returns to his place between Seokjin’s cheeks.
“Fu..fuck!” If Seokjin thought that Yoongi’s hands were amazing, it was nothing compared to his tongue - that thing - it is absolutely deadly. If Seokjin was a more creative person, he would write a song about it. So many songs about it. “Aah– aah- aah–” he moans out, already so close…
And then before he knows it, he is falling over the edge, toes curling up as he finds his release. He can hear Yoongi groaning behind him, before something hot lands on his back. Sated, he flops over to his side, Yoongi soon joins him, wrapping an arm around his waist and pressing a kiss to his nape.
“Five minutes– then we need to get cleaned up.”
Seokjin whines unhappily, he doesn’t want to move. He just wants to exist in this afterglow. Basking in the orgasm that he just had.
“Seokjin-ah– I know you. You’re going to whine about being too sticky and gross in a moment. Five minutes and then we need to get in the shower.” However, Yoongi is a liar, his fingers already working their way up Seokjin’s chest, massaging around his nipple before moving to the other one.
“God that feels so good.” Seokjin’s chest has been so sore lately, but Yoongi’s magic fingers have a way of making everything feel better.
“Mmm,” Yoongi mumbles against his neck, pressing kisses against it as his amazing fingers continue to massage Seokjin’s chest.
Seokjin felt absolutely amazing, wondering if he could cum from just the nipple stimulation alone…
Whoosh
Suddenly the bed is wet around Seokjin. Yoongi’s hands pull away.
“Seokjin-ah… I think your water just broke.”
“What?!? But?!? Oh my god, Yoongi– I’m filthy! I can’t go to the hospital like this!”
“We have time. Let’s get you cleaned up, I’ll call Taehyung and we’ll head to the hospital. Everything is going to be okay.” Yoongi is the voice of reason while Seokjin internally panics. “Babies take a while. Come on.”
Yoongi leads him to the shower, helping him get washed up and applying lotion to his skin. When they make it back out to the bedroom, Seokjin has a mini panic attack seeing the state of things.
“Oh my god,Yoongi! The bed is a mess. We have to change it. The whole apartment is a mess.” Seokjin throws up his hands. “How am I supposed to leave it like this! We can’t bring Ttalgi home to a complete disaster.”
The next thing he knows, Yoongi is grabbing his chin. “I’ll take care of it. Get dressed.”
While Seokjin is getting dressed, Yoongi moves quickly around the bedroom effectively stripping the bed and remaking it. He throws the dirty sheets, blankets and clothes into the hamper before disappearing into the rest of the apartment. Seokjin can hear him running about.
By the time he’s finished dressing (it takes a while with him being nine months pregnant and all), wincing every now and again from the contractions, Yoongi is back in the bedroom throwing on his own clothes.
“I tidied up as much as I could. The baby bag is by the door. You ready?” He asks, fastening the button of his jeans.
It finally sinks in– Seokjin is having a baby. “Yoongi-yah?”
“Hmm.”
“I’m scared.”
Yoongi walks over to him, cupping Seokjin’s face in his hands. “It’s perfectly normal to be scared. Life is about to change in a big way.”
“You’ll be there with me?”
“Every step of the way, until you kick me out.” They share a sweet kiss.
“Let’s go have a baby.”
The ride to the hospital is rather uneventful and Taehyung meets them there. Within minutes Seokjin is placed in a room and then they wait, Yoongi by his side every step of the way.
He’s there to wipe the sweat off of Seokjin’s brow, feed him ice chips and hold his hand. It seems like forever but really it’s only a couple hours before it’s time for Seokjin to push, and push, and push.
Until a loud wail finally fills the air. She’s immediately placed on his chest and Seokjin cannot help the tears from flowing. She’s here– she’s really here.
“Would you like to cut the cord?” Taehyung asks, looking over to Yoongi who in turn looks over at Seokjin.
“Go ahead– Papa. She is as much mine as she is yours.”
Yoongi cuts the cord, before returning to Seokjin’s side, pressing a kiss to his brow as they admire their daughter.
Ttalgi has finally arrived.
Chapter Text
Seokjin giggles as Yoongi presses kisses against his neck. “Yoongi-yah, don’t start something you can’t finish.”
“Who says I can’t finish,” he says in between kisses, “I believe you called me Mr. Amazing Hands after all. I should live up to my name.”
Seokjin groans as Yoongi continues to trail kisses, moving south. His husband really does just love bringing up Seokjin’s original nickname for him, even after all these years together. He will never forget Yoongi getting his phone for him one day, looking at the screen and going ‘Mr. Amazing Hands, really?’
If it was possible to combust on the spot, Seokjin is sure he would’ve done it right then and there. And well if he really thought about it– he guesses he really did ‘combust,’ because Yoongi’s deft fingers really did live up to the hype. And they continue to do so.
Seokjin throws his head back on the pillow as Yoongi reaches his intended destination. “You know how your daughter likes to wake up early,” he stammers out but makes no effort to actually stop his husband, rather he spreads his legs a little further.
Yoongi looks up at him from between Seokjin’s legs, a wicked smile on his face. “Then I guess I should be quick then, with my ‘amazing hands’ and all.”
He swings his leg out, trying to kick his husband but Yoongi just laughs, catching Seokjin's leg in his hand and holding it in place. Pretty soon Seokjin is a writhing mess on the bed, a victim of Yoongi's tongue and finger game. One that he doesn’t mind falling prey to, nor will he ever complain about. In fact he is enjoying it– tremendously.
“Fuck,” Seokjin moans, quickly approaching his release. It never takes long when Yoongi uses his talents against him. His husband crawls up Seokjin’s body, pushing their lips together.
“Now it’s your turn.” Seokjin murmurs against Yoongi’s lips, sneaking his hand down between them.. Right as it's about to reach its intended location…
“Appa! Papa!”
The little voice comes from outside their closed door. Yoongi groans, his head falling onto Seokjin’s shoulder who cannot help but laugh.
“I told you so. I guess you’re just going to have to take care of yourself.” Seokjin pushes Yoongi off of him before rolling out of bed. “Coming sweetheart!” Quickly sliding on his sweats and robe before heading out the door.
“Appa! My tummy is all growly.”
“Oh it is!” Seokjin claps his hands in front of him. “And how do you think we fix a growly tummy?
“Strawberry pancakes!”
“Really? Strawberry pancakes,” Seokjin deadpans. “Well I guess you are my little Ttalgi-yah after all,” he says, tweaking her nose.
“Appa,” she says seriously, “I Yeji, not Ttalgi. Strawberries for pancakes!”
Seokjin cannot help but laugh, “So strawberry pancakes?”
“Yep! They make my tummy happy.”
“Well strawberry pancakes it is!”
Cooking with a soon to be five year old takes patience and, well, Seokjin has a lot of that. Plus he wouldn’t trade this time with his daughter for anything. He loves watching her grow, become her own little person and become more independent. The morning is filled with giggles, flour smiles, strawberry kisses and happiness– so much happiness.
“And what do we have here?”
“Papa!” Yeji carefully steps down from her stool and runs over to Yoongi, who bends down to swing her up in his arms. She grabs his cheeks with her flour covered hands, leaving behind handprints. “Appa and I– we make strawberry pancakes!”
“I can see that– it looks like you’re making a mess too.” Yoongi sends Seokjin a wink when he looks his way.
“A mess means love!” Yeji says matter of factly, causing Seokjin to laugh.
It’s a saying that Seokjin has told her multiple times, “Don’t mind the mess Yeji-yah, it means you cooked something with love.”
Yeji wiggles herself out of Yoongi’s arms returning to her place at Seokjin’s side. “Flip?” she asks.
“Flip.” Seokjin replies before taking the pan in hand and executing a perfect pancake flip.
“Again! Again!” Yeji claps her hands excitedly, her eyes wide with wonder.
So Seokjin does it again. Then again, with Yeji helping much to her delight. Her giggles, a soundtrack to their morning.
After a couple more flips, Seokjin tells her, “Alright sweetheart, go set the table with Papa. Appa is almost done with breakfast.”
“Okay!”
Seokjin lives for moments like these, these precious moments with his family. He knows that it might not always be like this, that when Yeji becomes a teenager she might become standoffish. Or might not want to hang out with her Appa and Papa as much. So for now he is going to treasure every moment that he gets. He cannot help the smile that graces his face as he watches his husband and their daughter.
Breakfast is nothing short of a lively affair with Yeji narrating most of it. Regaling them all about her latest dream, which apparently included a purple whale, an alpaca and a talking chocolate chip cookie. Seokjin is honestly amazed at Yeji’s imagination– the things she dreams up completely astound him.
Seokjin listens with rapt attention, however a certain pair of hands keeps distracting him. Those fingers playing with the hairs at the nape of his neck. It also doesn’t help that Yoongi keeps sending him sly glances.
“My little Ttalgi-yah,” Yeji pouts at the nickname, “as a special treat you can watch Peppa Pig this morning.”
“Really!?!” Yeji’s boba eyes grow impossibly wide, her little hands slapping on the table.
Seokjin only lets her watch Peppa Pig sparingly, preferring for her to watch more educational type shows. But this morning he wants her thoroughly distracted.
“Yes– but you need to wash your hands first! They are sticky with syrup.” Seokjin calls as Yeji runs off.
Soon he hears the bathroom sink running before shutting off. Then the sound of feet moving quickly to the living room.
“I bought us at least an hour,” Seokjin murmurs into Yoongi’s ear.
As they pass the living room, Seokjin notices that Yeji is already posted up on the couch, remote in hand and her beloved pink bunny, Cooky, in the other. It’s a much beloved gift from her Uncle Kookie.
Once their bedroom door is shut, Yoongi already has his shirt pulled up and is reaching for Seokjin’s, quickly removing it. His husband smirks as he pulls Seokjin close, their lips crashing together.
“Have I told you today,” Yoongi says in between kisses, “How much I love you? You and that smart brain of yours.”
“Not yet– but the day is still young.”
They are a mess of limbs as they make their way towards the bed, stumbling and laughing at each other as they try to remove their pants along the way, falling into the bed in a tangle.
Yoongi immediately takes control and wastes no time in opening Seokjin up and sliding inside. Both of them groan at the sensation (but not too loud– of course). It doesn’t take long for either of them to finish– already keyed up from earlier and not having been able to be together like this for a while.
Afterwards Seokjin is feeling utterly boneless in the shower, eyes closed as Yoongi massages his scalp before rinsing the shampoo out. Next he lathers up a washcloth and gently rubs it along Seokjin’s skin.
“I forgot to ask– and how is the little one doing this morning?” Yoongi asks washing Seokjin’s still semi flat - for now - stomach.
“Well, no nausea this morning– so I say that is a plus.”
Yoongi spreads his fingers over Seokjin’s stomach before leaning in to press a kiss to his lips. The water running from the shower head rains softly over them, making it feel like they are in their own little world. “When are we going to tell Yeji? The others?”
“I don’t want to take away from her birthday, it’s her special day. We can tell her after that. And well, with the others– I feel like Hobi already has a feeling. He keeps sending me knowing looks, plus I had to turn down that glass of wine the other day.”
“I’m honestly surprised that Taehyung hasn’t said anything yet. Ya know with being an OB-GYN and all,” Yoongi replies as he turns off the water, reaching his arm out to grab two towels, handing one to Seokjin.
“Well, I feel like the twins keep him plenty distracted,” Seokjin says with a laugh, moving the towel over his body.
“That will be us soon– minus the twin part.” Yoongi replies with a grin, “In six months, we will be a family of four. I almost can’t believe it.”
“I know–” Seokjin’s hand goes to his stomach, rubbing it softly. Five years ago he never thought he could get pregnant, now he has a wonderful daughter and another baby on the way.
***
This year they decided to go to the zoo for Yeji’s birthday. She has been obsessed with elephants lately. Don’t ask him why, Seokjin has no idea how the obsession started. They extended the invitation out to their friend group and everyone decided to join them.
The first to arrive were Namjoon and Jimin, who just adopted a little girl, Haru. A shy three year old, who is slowly starting to come out of her shell.
Next to arrive were Hoseok and Taehyung with their twins Minho and Minji. The twins immediately run up to Yeji in excitement. All three of them carry on in what seems like a language only they know.
And last to arrive is Jungook, a ball cap pulled low over his eyes, a mask covering his face. He had just finished a successful world tour with his band. He’d returned home only a couple days ago. And, true to his word, Jungkook took his duty as the fun uncle seriously. Fully respecting that Yeji was Yoongi’s daughter, he signed over his rights soon after Yeji was born. The cheeky little brat even had the nerve to send Seokjin a ‘I told you so, hyung,’ text when he found out that Seokjin and Yoongi had gotten together.
The day consists of monitoring and chasing three hyperactive five year olds around the zoo, while Haru prefers to stay close to her parents. Seokjin makes sure that they see all the important animals and especially the elephants. And last, but not least, that they all get to ride the carousel! Which Yeji, of course, insists on doing multiple times.
Seokjin was able to make it through one round, before the motion sickness got to him. Passing the duty off of the other adults, claiming he needed to make sure everything was ready for the cake later, he parks himself on a bench. He watches fondly as his friends, their kids and his family continue to ride the carousel.
He senses somebody sitting down beside him, looking over, he is not at all surprised to see Hoseok. Seokjin knows his friend has just been waiting for a moment to get him alone.
“So correct me if I’m wrong– but I have a feeling you will be making an appointment with my husband soon?”
Well, Seokjin guesses there is no hiding it now. He knew that Hoseok could tell. “I was going to call on Monday. Yoongi has been monitoring what he can at home.” Unconsciously, his hand goes to his stomach and Hoseok’s eyes follow the movement.
“Does Yeji know yet?”
“No. We are going to wait until after her birthday to tell her. I didn’t want to take away from her special day.”
“She is going to love being a big sister. She’ll be good at it.”
“Oh– I know.” Seokjin smiles as he thinks about his daughter. “I’m just going to let her enjoy being an only child for a little bit longer.”
“I’m happy for you hyung. And if you need anything at all, don’t hesitate to reach out.”
“Thanks, Hobi– I really appreciate that.”
“Appa! Appa!” Yeji runs over to him with a smile on her face. “I rode the horsies five times!” She holds out her hand spreading her fingers wide, “Cause I five now!”
“Yes you are, Yeji-yah! You are Appa’s big girl now!”
“And Papa’s!”
Seokjin cannot help but laugh, “Ah yes– you are Papa’s big girl too.” Seokjin leans down close to Yeji, whispering loudly, “I think it might be time for cake now. What do you think?”
“Cake!” Yeji exclaims happily, “Cake! Cake! Cake!”
The group heads over to the small clubhouse that Seokjin and Yoongi had rented out. Seokjin brings out the pink frosted cake - strawberry of course - with five candles.
“Alright Yeji-yah, make a wish.”
She closes her eyes tightly, her hands clasped in front of her. “I want a ittle brotha or sista!” She takes a big breath and blows out her candles. Yoongi and Seokjin share a look, his hand automatically going to his stomach. Well it looks like Yeji will be getting her wish.
***
Six months later Min Yechan joined the world, officially making them a family of four. Seokjin cannot help but tear up as he sits in his hospital bed taking in all of his son’s tiny features. From his cat-like eyes, to his little nose, ten fingers and toes. Yechan is utter perfection.
“Jagi, why are you crying?” Yoongi asks entering the room, concern written on his face.
“Yoon– just look at him, he’s absolutely perfect. He even has your hands!” Seokjin blubbers.
“You mean my amazing hands? ” His husband asks with his brows raised. He leans over to press a kiss to Seokjin’s forehead before taking Yechan out of his arms. “Hey little guy, Papa is back. Did you miss me?”
“You were gone for like five minutes.” Yoongi sticks his tongue out at him before walking away with their son, bouncing Yechan in his arms.
Seokjin watches the pair fondly as Yoongi continues to talk to the baby, pointedly ignoring Seokjin.
There is a soft knock at the door before it opens, revealing Yoongi’s Eomeoni and Yeji. Seokjin holds out his arms and catches her when she runs to him. “My little Ttalgi-yah, I’ve missed you.”
“Miss you Appa,” she says into his neck, holding him tight.
“Are you ready to meet your little brother?” Yeji nods shyly, her boba eyes following her papa’s every move.
“Yeji-yah, this is your little brother, Yechan,” Yoongi says walking over with Yechan in his arms, Carefully he places Yechan into Yeji’s arms with Seokjin helping her.
“Hi Yechan-ah, I your noona.”
Seokjin feels an arm wrap around his shoulders, he looks over to see Yoongi, adoration in his eyes. His head snaps up when he hears the sound of a camera shutter.
“You all were just too cute– I couldn’t help myself.”
After the visit with Yoongi’s Eomeoni, Seokjin sends off the picture in the group chat. Yeji is smiling wide for the camera with Yechan in her arms, while Yoongi and Seokjin are looking at one another, love written all over their features.

Yoongi looks up from his phone shaking his head at all the messages from their friends. “You know Jiminie is right, we are a good looking family.” He presses a kiss to Seokjin’s forehead before the both of them look over at Yechan quietly sleeping in his bassinet by the hospital bed.
Seokjin pinches himself, double checking that he is not dreaming and that this is truly his life now. He is married to an absolutely amazing man, who goes over and beyond. They have a beautiful daughter who lights up the room and now they have a son. Seokjin winces– yep definitely not dreaming. This is really his life.
