“HOW many!!!??”
Saturn looks at Jupiter, petrified. He stares at the bigger planet for a good while, watching his expression twist to and from sympathy and amusement. He stays silent for an excruciatingly long time to Saturn, until he finally looked back at him.
“..Two hundred seventy-four, Saturn.”
Jupiter flinches at the shrill cry from the other planet. His own eyes widen, the movement shifting his glasses. He blinks a few times, finally collecting himself again. Jupiter readjusts them before stepping towards him. Saturn was pale, and looked like he may faint if just one more number was uttered. Jupiter sighs and smiles a little, putting a hand on the ringed planet’s shoulder.
“C’mon, it’ll be okay. Nothing’s gonna happen. At least you know no one’s breaking that record.”
Jupiter tries his oh so very hardest to get Saturn to stay hopeful. He usually always lost his bubbly personality and optimism when it came to his moons, which was.. at the very least, concerning.
Saturn groans and brings a hand to his forehead, still not daring to blink.
“Th-that’s… what, a hundred more names to remember?! Oh, stars, what if I— I can’t be trusted with THAT MANY moons! Surely! Oh, my void, oh stars ..”
Jupiter frowns and cringes, pausing a few seconds until fixing Saturn’s error.
“One hundred twenty-eight.”
The smaller planet snapped his gaze towards him, freezing. Saturn just stared for a good while before starting to screech at Jupiter again.
“DON’T TELL ME THAT !!”
Jupiter leans back in surprise, his smile being wiped away as well. Saturn immediately collects (part of) himself, letting his hand fall to cup his own chin and mouth. He looks down with the same look as he starts to mutter on about “too many” again.
Jupiter sighs, letting his shoulders fall.
“Ok- ay… well.. I’m sure you’ll get used to it, Saturn. You reacted the same when Titan and Rhea formed, remember?”
Saturn looks up, his expression easing just the slightest before replying.
“Maybe..”
