Summary
Jude felt like he was on fire. His lungs burned. The cold air was merciless against his skin. His nose was redder than Eli’s most days. His fingers were purple and he could barely feel them. Barely move them. Same with his toes, despite the heavy shoes covering them. It was cold. Extremely cold. It felt like the sun was further than ever that very night, and maybe it was. Ever since their star started dying, the sky had given the illusion that it was running from them instead of just getting smaller.
Everything burned. It seemed impossible—he lived in a freezing, unforgiving world. How could he be hot? He had no phoenix blood on him—he’d always refused to matter how much Eli insisted—and there were no fires. The village wasn’t even in his sight. Neither was the cabin he and his family built around Mara while she slept.

Summary
Vivian shivered, the coldness attacking him from all sides, hands gripping the pillowcase his head was on tightly. He was cold, and the air conditioning on full blast in the nearly-empty and clean room wasn’t helping. Hugo didn’t even have a heater in his room, so it would be even harder to warm up.
Even though he had a blanket—two, actually—piled on top of him he still felt like he was freezing. His own cluttered room often kept him from getting cold—except on the days where the temperature really did sneak in after his mother forgot to pay the electricity, a common occurrence with her. Those days always sucked.

Summary
Earth hugged the pillow on her lap tightly, the texture of it slightly unnerving. It had ridges and wasn’t too soft. It was more… Not velvet, but instead like a rougher version of the texture. It was the same texture of the couch she was sitting on. It was odd and slightly uncomfortable, but nothing too bad. Nothing to worry about, anyways.
Cyra sat next to her, holding the remote in star’s hand. A new TV sat in front of the two on a set of cabinets, big and bright. It was a little irritating, if the planet was being honest. But that was to be expected. She had woken up pretty recently and immediately went downstairs, only to find her best friend watching a random show before star had to leave for… something. Earth didn’t know what, and honestly didn’t want to ask. It was star’s business, not hers.

Proteus stared ahead at Triton, teeth bared, feeling the cold ground of the Neptunic surface dig into his scales. The scales that were supposed to keep him warm and safe. Well, that would be the case if he wasn't missing patches of them all along his body. Especially his torso.
Blood spilled out from his wounds and onto the blue ground, the planet's atmosphere chilling him to his core, the winds making him feel faint as they only provoked his wounds, allowing more of the liquid to escape him. He felt faint, his legs barely keeping him upright as he attempted to move.

The loud laughing of Jupiter while Saturn yelled at him infiltrated her mind, the obnoxious noise being the only thing she could focus on other than the messed up room.
There was a plate of food spilt over on the floor, a scared cat under the couch she was sitting on, and her two brothers.
