don’t forget you’re working with a killer clown!

Summary:

Branzy had never been a particularly popular man in the city of Lifesteal. He liked redstone, and he was okay at it, though he wouldn’t say he was amazing at it either. His life was pretty uneventful.

Until a killer clown showed up at his home, threatening him into working with him on his casino. Branzy had no choice but to accept, or else he’d probably get killed.

Or; Branzy and ClownPierce’s casino like basically every other clownzy fic but author decides to write it anyways.

Chapter 1: I: Hah, what a surprise!

Chapter Text

Branzy had never been a popular man in the city of Lifesteal. Sure, he was friends with the best escapist in the city, but he wasn’t popular because Rek never mentioned him so he wouldn’t get targeted.

Branzy liked redstone. He’d say he was okay at it, though not amazing at it.

Branzy’s life was pretty uneventful.

All of that turned upside down when the deadliest assassin in the city showed up at his home.

———🃏———

Branzy fumbled to unlock the door to his apartment. He wasn’t in a rush, just tired. He pushed the door open and closed it behind him, turning around.

Branzy froze. Every muscle in his body screamed to run.

In the middle of Branzy’s apartment was ClownPierce, the deadliest assassin in the city of Lifesteal.

“Wha- What are you doing here?” Branzy pressed his back against his front door, utterly terrified.

ClownPierce only tilted his head to the side.

“Are you going to kill me?” Branzy asked quietly.

“No,” ClownPierce responded. “I’m here for a reason.”

“What is it?” Branzy squeaked out.

“You have skills in redstone, don’t you?”

“I do.”

ClownPierce nodded. “Well, Branzy Craft, I think your skills would be useful for a project I’m working on.”

Oh. Oh.

“Why me?”

ClownPierce chuckled. “Because people won’t be worried if you randomly disappear for a while. You’re not very well known.”

Branzy felt slightly insulted, but he didn’t say anything.

“So will you work with me?” ClownPierce asked.

He knew if he refused, he would probably get killed. If he accepted, he’d have to work with ClownPierce and maybe not get killed.

Accepting was his best bet.

“…I will.”

Chapter 2: II: Careful!

Summary:

Clown shows Branzy around the casino.

Chapter Text

Branzy’s phone rang. He looked at the screen. It was Rek calling him.

Branzy answered his phone, and the first thing he heard was:

“Your working with ClownPierce?!?”

“Well, it was either that or he’d kill me, and I enjoy my life a lot, Rek,” Branzy says.

“If he hurts you, tell me immediately and I will beat his ass-“

“Rek, we both know you can’t beat him,” Branzy cuts in.

Rek pauses. “…Fine, you’re right.”

Branzy sighs. “Look, Rek. I have to go, I’m sorry.”

Rek pauses. “Okay, bye Branzy.”

“Bye Rek.”

The call hangs up. Branzy runs a hand through his white hair. He grabs his things (which aren’t much honestly) and heads off to Clown’s casino.

———🧩———

Branzy stands nervously in front of Clown’s casino. His whole body is telling him he shouldn’t be here.

Hesitantly, he raises his fist to knock on the door.

While he waits, Branzy observes the casino’s exterior. It’s large and it’s painted to look like a circus tent and it has Clown’s mask-face-ish on the front.

The doors swing open and make Branzy look up to meet Clown’s mask.

ClownPierce tilts his head to the side. “Branzy Craft.”

“That’s me, yes, hi.”

“Come inside, I’ll show you around,” Clown says.

Branzy’s surprised Clown’s showing him around for some reason.

“Okay.”

Clown leads Branzy inside,  showing him some slot machines that he says still need to be worked on. There are tables to play games in a large room. There’s a bar, fully stocked with drinks.

Branzy’s surprised by how fancy this place looks. He’s never been somewhere so fancy.

Clown leads him to a door, pushes it open. There’s a large room that’s dark, completely dark. There is a balcony that the door opens to, and there’s another balcony on the left wall.

“What is this?” Branzy asks.

Clown leans forward. “Roulette wheel. A really big one. You’re gonna have to find a way to make it work, because I don’t know how.”

“Oh.”

Chapter 3: III: Blood & Promises

Summary:

Branzy's seen Clown covered in another's blood.

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Branzy had been working with Clown for a few days now. He had started blue prints for Clown’s roulette wheel.

Branzy sat at a desk in the staff room, sketching out some things for the casino when the door swung open.

Branzy didn’t look up, he knew it was Clown who entered the room.

It took him a few moments to realize that there was the metallic tang of blood in the air.

Instantly, Branzy whirled around to face ClownPierce, who was covered in blood.

Branzy’s breath hitched in fear. ClownPierce didn’t react.

“What… what happened?” Branzy forced out the words.

“Work.”

“Oh.” Branzy knew what ClownPierce’s job was; he was an assassin.

“Are you scared, Branzy Craft?” ClownPierce taunted.

“Well- I… err… No…”

Clown tilted his head to the side; he (Clown) obviously knew he (Branzy) was lying, but he didn’t say anything.

Branzy thought it was best to just go back to working on the blue prints.

———🃏———

Branzy’s feet dragged on the sidewalk. He was tired, and just wanted to sleep, but unfortunately he had to get home before he could sleep.

Branzy wasn’t paying attention to his surroundings, it was when a had was placed on his shoulder that he realized someone else was there.

Branzy whirled around, expecting to see someone he didn’t recognize.

Vitalasy stood calmly, watching Branzy.

“Oh, Vitalasy, you scared me!” Branzy said.

Vitalasy tilted his head to the side. “I saw.”

“Oh. Well, what are you doing here, anyways?”

Vitalasy stared at Branzy. “I was worried about you. I’ve seen you around with ClownPierce.”

“Oh. It’s nothing to worry about, I’m fine! I’m not being held hostage by the deadliest assassin!” Branzy joked.

Vitalasy clearly didn’t find Branzy’s joke funny.

“Branzy, he could kill you in a heartbeat,” Vitalasy warned.

“I know, I know!”

“Just… Be careful, okay?”

“I am being careful, and I will!”

“Promise?”

“I promise.”

Chapter Text

Sometimes, only violence could silence the worst people. Branzy knew that. Knew that some people did not deserve to live.

Yet he had still accepted to work with someone that did not deserve to live.

Branzy did not feel guilty, for some reason.

He did not know why, but he felt oddly safe around ClownPierce. Sure, he was still scared to death of him, but he also felt safe.

Branzy would never willingly hurt someone for no reason, and somehow, he felt ClownPierce did the same.

Branzy never really understood emotions or feelings. They were odd.

He did not understand why he wanted to cry when someone jokingly made fun of him; maybe he was just sensitive.

Who was he kidding? Of course Branzy was sensitive.

Couldn’t, wouldn’t defend himself from bullying.

Branzy hated feeling things he did not want to feel; anger, sadness, regret.

He did not understand why people would hurt him for no reason.

He would never know.

He struggled every day to find motivation to do something actually productive.

He always felt his friends didn’t actually care about him.

Why?

He did not know.

Maybe he was just weird.

Maybe he just–

Maybe he didn’t deserve to live.

He would never know.
