Bdubs' heart pounds in his chest as he runs.
He knows the vampire is already tracking him by his sent and he can probably hear his stupid heart racing in his chest.
It's so dark, the human can barely see.
He swears he can see eyes on him, so he pushes himself harder, trying to run faster.
In a last ditch effort to hide he stands behind a thick trunked tree, squishing in on himself to make himself seem smaller, thus harder to see.
Bdubs puts a hand over his mouth, trying to make his breathing quieter, bis blood roars in his ears from running and from Adrenalin.
He hears quit foot falls on the other side of the tree.
The brunet squeezes his eyes shut, his chest tightening.
He opens his eyes and Bdubs risks peaking to the other side of the trunk.
Nothing.
Bdubs turns back to where he was a second ago and a blur of white fills his vision.
He screams as clawed hands pin his upper arms to the tree trunk and sharp fangs dig into his throat.
He struggles against the predator, but strong hands squeeze his arms, keeping him in place.
His heart slows down as the vampire's venom reaches it, slowing it to a resting pace.
His body relaxes, the fight leaving it involuntarily, his mind fogging over with contentedness as he relaxes into his husband's arms.
"Dubs." Etho mumbles against his neck, standing Bdubs back up from where he was slouching against the tree.
"Sorry." Bdubs says, but his mind is so clouded and he feels like he is floating so it comes out in more of a slurred, "mmnrwy."
Etho sighs, licking the blood from his neck before scooping Bdubs up in his arms, laying the human down in the grass.
Etho latches back into his partner's neck, drinking his blood.
After awhile, Bdubs' head starts to feel light, and black spots dance in his vision.
"Ethooooo." Bdubs groans out, "My headdd..."
Etho unlatches from the shorter man's neck.
He starts to lick Bdubs' neck, cleaning up all the excess blood, helping close the two little puncture marks, and getting his saliva to help kick start the healing processes for the bite, also so it won't scar.
Bdubs' eyes are closed and Etho brushes a strand of hair from his face, smiling with bloodied lips.
"Can we snuggle?" Bdubs asks, voice thick with the drowsiness that comes from Etho's venom, big brown eyes opening.
"Your not getting in my bed." Etho says, licking any blood from his lips and teeth, "Your all sweaty and stink." he says, "You need a shower."
"I don't want to take a shower." Bdubs says, closing his eyes.
"I can give you a bath if you would prefer that." Etho suggests.
"You just want to see me naked again." Bdubs says in a sassy tone as he roles his head to one side.
"That's a possibility." Etho chuckles.
"Fine." Bdubs says, rolling his head back and looking Etho in the eyes, "Bath, then snuggles." He says, "No funny business during, or in between. I'm tired."
"Yes sir." Etho says, rolling his eyes as he scoops his husband up into his arms again.

Etho lays Bdubs down in their shared bed.
The human is now clean and wearing his pajamas.
Etho has already changed so he crawls into the other side of the bed.
"What kind of snuggles do you want?" Etho asks his lover.
Bdubs is quit for a moment whether that is because he is asleep or thinking, Etho is unsure.
"Spoon." Bdubs says.
Etho moves to him, rolling the human over so he is on his side, back to Etho.
Etho moves closer and wraps his arms around Bdubs so they are chest to back.
The vampire bends his knees under Bdubs, pulling the blanket over both of them.
He presses a kiss to the back of Bdubs' head then turns off the bedside lamp, "I love you."
"Love you too." Bdubs says, sleepily.
