Holy hell? I am more than willing to ruin my perfectly even 40 bookmarks for this masterpiece. I’ve never seen anyone even try to make Eroch a three dimensional character. And the way Crepus is a bad person while having- I don’t want to say dimension, there’s a better word for it but I’m not searching through a thesaurus at 11:02 PM. You can feel that he is also a character, someone with a backstory who could probably be the main character of his own story- I can imagine the tags right now, hurt no comfort, unreliable narrator. He is probably the realest non POV character I’ve- ever??? read on this website. I can feel the cycle of abuse turning from presumably the grandparents to Crepus to Diluc, which is implied by the summary but not stated out right in the fic, just shown, which is something really prevalent in this story. It’s all show, not tell. Breaks to indicate time skips would be nice but who am I to complain when I get to read this amazing piece of writing for free? This might be going on my list of “amazing works I’ll never read again to preserve the magic” works, right next to Dioscuri.
