Auntie Day

Summary:

When Charlie's feeling a bit down about missing her mother on Mother's Day, Lucifer enlists Charlie's aunts to cheer her up.

Notes:

I did two mother's day fics for Helluva Boss last year so I figured why not try one for Hazbin Hotel. Technically Helluva Boss is involved since Bee, Leviathan, and Belphegor premiered there first but this is primarily a Hazbin Hotel fic.

I imagine Charlie would miss her mother around holidays like Mother's Day and Christmas/Sinsmas and Thanksgiving/Sinsgiving so Lucifer would want to cheer up his daughter as best he possibly could. And Charlie is very close with the Sins since they're basically her aunts/uncles so Bee, Leviathan, and Belphegor would do anything for her. I also wanted to explore their relationships with Charlie at different stages of her life so little flashbacks will be seen from time to time.

And Lucifer has something special for Charlie later but we'll wait to see that. ;)

Chapter 1: Hello Bee

Chapter Text

“Mommy! Mommy!” A little voice chirped as she scampered up to a tall blonde woman.

“What is it Charlie?” She asked.

“I made this for you!” Charlie smiled proudly as she held up a drawing of herself and her mother smiling and holding hands while singing.

“Aww this is very sweet.” Lilith smiled, taking the drawing from her daughter. “What’s the occasion?”

“I learned about a holiday on Earth called Mother’s Day. It’s about showing how much you love your mom. So I wanted to make that for you!” Charlie rambled before looking a bit shy. “Do you…like it?”

Lilith scooped her daughter onto her lap, giving her a hug and kiss on the cheek. “I love it sweetheart.” She told her, running a hand through her hair. “You are so thoughtful.”

“You’re the best mommy ever!” Charlie giggled.

(…)

Charlie woke up from her sleep, rubbing her eyes a bit. It had been so long since she had a dream about her mom. It was nice thinking of her but at the same time, it made her sad. Seven years might not seem like much for someone that was immortal like her but it still hurt. She didn’t know why or how her mother disappeared but even with the problems her mother had with her dad before things went sour, she had faith that they still loved each other.

“Mom…” Charlie whispered.

“Charlie? You okay hun?” Vaggie yawned, sitting up in bed.

“Oh sorry Vaggie. I didn’t mean to wake you.” Charlie apologized, taking her hand. “Just was dreaming…”

Vaggie leaned against her, rubbing her thumb on top of her hand. “Do you wanna talk about it?” She asked softly.

The taller girl squeezed her girlfriend’s hand, taking a few deep breaths before starting. “I had a dream about mom. It was when I was little. I gave her a drawing for Mother’s Day.”

“Aww that’s so sweet.” Vaggie smiled.

“Yeah it was nice…she was happy I thought of her after learning about that Earth holiday. Every year I would make something for her and we’d spend the day together.” Charlie went on, a rare melancholy in her voice. “When she disappeared, I still wanted to do something for the day so I would look at old photos of her. It feels a little less lonely, y’know?”

Vaggie hugged her girlfriend, knowing this was a sensitive subject for her. Charlie adored her father but her mother held an important part in her heart. She gave her the courage to help her people not give into despair. Her decision to open a hotel to give a second chance to those damned in Hell could be seen as an extension of the songs Lilith would sing to give the citizens of the Pride Ring.

“Vaggie…do you think mom would be proud of what I’m doing?” Charlie wondered.

Vaggie held her hand up as she kissed it. “Absolutely. You’re giving those that gave up another chance when they’ve given up. Hell, you gave me a new lease on life when I fell. I’ll always be grateful for that.” She told her genuinely.

Charlie bumped foreheads with her as she hugged her. “Thank you…I guess after all that’s happened, I’ve just been missing her a lot.” She admitted, blushing as she felt a kiss on her forehead.

“We’re all here for you.” Vaggie promised.

As they talked, Lucifer happened to be walking by outside their room. He wanted to do a security check around the building and overheard his daughter and her girlfriend. As much as he tried to hide it for Charlie’s sake, days like this made him miss his wife a lot. Maybe it was silly but when Charlie told him about Mother’s Day, he loved the idea. A day that showed his wife how much she mattered as a mother? It was so sweet and Lilith appreciated that they were so thoughtful. He’d make her favorite foods and spend all day pampering her.

“Lilith…” he whispered, gently touching his wedding ring. The youthful king wanted to do something to cheer Charlie up but he didn’t know what would really help. His phone buzzed as a notification popped up on his home screen. “Huh…looks like Bee’s having fun…” he smiled softly.

Lucifer’s eyes widened as an idea began to form. It might be a bit out there but for his daughter, he’d do anything for her. He quickly messaged Bee with his idea, hoping she’d be up for it.

But with how much the Gluttony sin adored her niece, the odds were in his favor.

(…)

After sleeping in for a bit longer, Charlie got up a bit later than the hotel guests, still in her pajamas and bed headed hair. She yawned loudly as she trudged into the kitchen. The smell of pancakes filled the air as Charlie sat at the kitchen table.

“Morning sleepyhead!” Lucifer waved, a fresh stack of pancakes in his other hand.

“Mornin’ dad…” Charlie yawned, shocked at the figure next to him at the stove. “Aunt Bee?”

Bee flipped a pancake with flourish as she turned to her niece with a big smile. “Hi sweetie!” She greeted, immediately flying over to give her a hug.

“What a nice surprise!” Charlie giggled, letting the taller demon twirl her in the air before sitting her back down. “What brings you here?”

“Well I’ve been missing you and I just couldn’t resist coming up for a visit!” Bee told her. “Your dad and I were making pancakes and I thought that we could spend the day together.”

“R-Really? You’re not too busy?” The princess blinked, blushing as she felt a boop to her nose.

“I’m never too busy to hang out with you. What do ya say?” Bee wondered, almost giving Charlie puppy eyes.

Charlie looked to her dad who was giving her an encouraging smile. “Dad? Is it okay if I go?” She asked uncertainly.

“Go for it kiddo. You’ve been working hard and deserve a break.” Lucifer reasoned, turning the stove off and taking her hand. “I think it would be good for you.”

“Well…okay!” Charlie smiled, giggling as Bee hugged her. “I’ll let Vaggie know to hold down the fort while I’m gone.”

“Good to hear. Now! Let’s dig into these pancakes!” Bee cheered, taking out some whipped cream, syrup, and butter.

“Right behind you sister!” Lucifer laughed, holding up some glazed apples.

Charlie couldn’t help but laugh at how childishly competitive they could be when they made pancakes together. Always seeing who could make the most stacks in one go, which flavor combinations worked the best, and so many other ways of having fun. Hell, Charlie remembered once for a birthday party when she was 9 they tried to make the biggest pancake possible without Bee using her powers to make it grow.

It tasted delicious but they OD’d on pancakes for a while. Breakfast for a few months had consisted of waffles and French toast made by Lilith.

(…)

Once Charlie had her fill of pancakes and gotten ready to go, she was excited to have some quality time with her aunt. While they weren’t exactly related by blood, Charlie adored the Sins as an extension of her family. Some were a bit more…intense to be around—Satan and Mammon coming to mind—but she loved them all just the same.

“So what do you want to do first?” Charlie wondered, curious where they were walking.

“I heard about a food festival in town today. Let’s start there.” Bee suggested. “I’ve been looking to expand my palate for parties, y’know?”

“Oh that sounds great!” The princess clapped. “I loved coming to visit you since you always made something special for me.”

“Hey I appreciated you were a pretty open kid. You didn’t have a picky phase at all.” The fox-like sin replied before giving her a teasing smile as she poked her cheek. “Well, aside from cauliflower~”

Charlie felt her face heat up from embarrassment as she sputtered a bit. “I-I’m getting better!” She retorted, puffing her cheeks out. “I still say it’s one of the most boring vegetables in existence…”

Bee laughed as she squeezed the smaller girl’s shoulder affectionately. “Oh you know I’m kidding around! You’re so cute!” She giggled.

They soon were touring around the festival to see what the various demons of different rings would be making. Charlie hadn’t really been able to visit the other rings since she was super little. Even then, she could only really remember staying in the palaces of the other Sins. That made sense since it would be dangerous for her to wander around on her own. But she recalled a few times when her Aunt Bee would fly her around the skies of Gluttony to see everything. It was like a tropical resort.

Charlie couldn’t help but giggle seeing Bee buzzing around to each stall, almost having trouble deciding what to try. “Trouble picking?” She guessed.

“Yes! Everything looks so fucking good I don’t know where to start!” Bee moaned dramatically.

“How about, since you made breakfast for me, I’ll treat you today?” The princess offered.

“Aww thanks honey!” Bee gushed.

Charlie was more than happy to buy whatever Bee wanted. She was so nice to the young princess growing up. Staying at her place for long weekends was always a treat. Making meals together, swimming in her pool, watching movies in a blanket fort with a bunch of snacks, and drifting off to sleep watching her lava lamp belly.

“Auntie Bee? Is this enough rainbow candy for the brownies?” A six year old Charlie asked.

Bee saw her little niece holding up a cup of rainbow chocolate chips as she gave her a nod of approval. “Yep! That looks perfect!” She grinned.

Charlie smiled brightly as she began to sprinkle them on top of the brownie pan. They had made the batter earlier and were getting the decorations ready to go. “These look way better than the ones at the store!” Charlie laughed, putting a bunch of red ones in one spot.

“Homemade usually is.” She winked, noticing the candies in one spot. “Is that gonna be your piece?”

“Uh…maybe?” The little princess smiled sheepishly.

Bee booped a little batter on her nose with a smirk. “Hey I do the same thing.” She snickered, sprinkling a few yellow candies on her favorite part of the brownies.

“Hey Charlie! I found ice cream mochi!” Bee waved from a stall run by some Envy demons. “They have strawberry, chocolate, and matcha!”

“Oh I love those!” Charlie gushed, rushing over. “I’ll take a strawberry one!”

Today started off a bit sad but with someone that she cared about being by her side, things were starting to look up.

Chapter 2: Hello Levi

Summary:

Leviathan's impromptu trip up to Pride gives opportunity for more bonding time with Charlie and her aunties.

Notes:

I've been meaning to do more with Leviathan now that we actually know what she looks like. And I think of her as like Rarity from MLP and having a focus on fashion and gossip for her magazine empire. I imagine her as a jack of all trades in terms of media and social influence. But with as intimidating as she is, she'll always have a soft spot for Charlie.

The flashbacks we see are from her teenage years right around her relationship with Seviathan being on the rocks and going to Demon Prom. She is very protective of her niece so she'd want any partners of Charlie to treat her well. If they don't, she has ways of scaring them into submission.

Oh and Charlie and Bee trying those animal-themed hooded pajamas just seemed like a funny mental image with how confused Leviathan's heads would be.

Chapter Text

“Mmm! These are so good!” Charlie gushed.

“I love the soft mochi over the ice cream!” Bee agreed, her wings flapping happily behind her. “Chocolate works surprisingly well with it.”

“Seems like you two are enjoying yourselves.”

Bee and Charlie looked up, surprised to see the elegant and intimidating Leviathan right by their table. Charlie was so fascinated by her aunt since she was a very honest and hardworking person. While she was the sin of Envy, it could be argued that the two-headed woman represented both sides of Envy. The kinder side of her aunt brought out the natural impulse to improve oneself when seeing another’s success. The more serpent-like head was more brutally honest and pessimistic but they balanced each other out very well.

“Hey Levi!” Bee waved. “Auntie Leviathan!” Charlie cheered, standing up to give her a hug.

The two-headed woman happily embraced her niece. As a Sin she was very stern and didn’t take shit from her citizens in Envy or at her side businesses with real-estate and magazine publishing. But she always had a soft spot for her niece.

“Oh it’s so good to see you dear!” Leviathan smiled. “Have you been taking care of yourself? I know you’re working hard with your hotel but don’t forget yourself too.”

“Thank you Aunt Leviathan.” Charlie smiled. “I’m doing my best to take care of myself.”

“Is this your father’s suit?” Leviathan guessed, “Oh you had it tailored for you! Red suits you very well.”

“Aw thanks. Pants are a lot more comfortable than skirts and dresses sometimes.” Charlie laughed sheepishly.

“It’s why I like shorts when I party!” Bee chimed in. “So much easier to dance in!”

“My girlfriend Vaggie loves dresses and skirts. She looks so cute!” The princess gushed.

“Oh that’s so sweet you have someone you care about!” One head gushed as her other head sighed. “I’ve been so busy it’s hard to meet other demons…”

'Your standards are a bit high…’ Bee thought to herself as Charlie looked at her other aunt curiously.

“What brings you up to Pride?” Charlie wondered.

“Research. I’m working on an article about fashion of the different rings.” She replied, pulling out her phone. “I do have a meeting with some Overlord this week to discuss her latest fashion line but it seems her workplace is pretty…chaotic.”

Charlie was surprised to see Velvette of the Vee’s was going to be interviewed. From what Angel had told her about the shorter overlord demon, she was pretty high strung and bossy. Hopefully her aunt would be okay talking to her. The princess knew that she could handle herself but she still worried about her aunt.

“I’ve been looking to scope out the latest shops in this ring. Would you two like to accompany me?” Leviathan asked.

“Oh that sounds fun!” Charlie gasped, looking at Bee. “Could we check out a few shops with her?”

“Hey I’ve been meaning to get some new duds for my latest bash. I’m thinking of throwing a pool party!” Bee grinned, eyes sparkling as she had ideas starting to form.

“Oh a tropical theme? How fun!” Leviathan smiled as her serpentine head let out a sigh. “I wish I could have more free-time…”

Bee placed a hand on her shoulder, giving her a supportive smile. “You know you’re always welcome at my crib.” She assured her fellow Sin.

(…)

When Bee and Charlie finished their mochi ice cream, giving Leviathan the matcha flavored one since she preferred more bitter flavors, they headed towards the shopping center. Charlie was a little nervous when she had told her aunt that she had a preference for suits instead of dresses as a princess. Princesses in storybooks usually wore flowing skirts and dresses, swishing around like dancers. That was fine on occasion but something about pants just felt more freeing for the young demon.

But to her surprise, Leviathan was more than happy to show her the styles of suits and casual clothes she could wear.

“Fashion shouldn’t just be for show. Comfort is a very important factor. If you’re comfortable in what you wear, the clothes will shine.” She told her niece once.

That really stuck with Charlie and after a disaster of a prom at Demon High School, the young princess decided she wasn’t going to let anyone—Helsa specifically—give her crap for her choice of clothes. She would normally flip flop between more feminine and masculine clothes growing up, wanting to find her style. Her aunt was more than happy to take her shopping and be honest about how her outfits looked. But instead of making her niece feel bad, she showed her how to pick clothes and accessories that emphasized her natural beauty.

The only time Charlie didn’t listen was during middle school where she went full emo after getting braces but that…was - a pretty embarrassing phase.

“Hey look!” Bee gasped, pointing to a store with adorable animal hoodie pajamas.

“Ahhh! They’re so cute!” Charlie gushed, turning to her taller aunt with big eyes. “Can we PLEASE check this place out first?”

“I’ve…never seen this type of store before.” The aquatic demon admitted. “Probably because we’d soak them through living in water the majority of the time…”

“I’ve heard about kigurumi! They can make you look like cute animals or popular characters!” Bee smiled excitedly, looking at her tail. “I hope they have one I can stick my tail through. And my extra arms.”

“It’s something I’ve been trying to incorporate in my designs as well.” Leviathan agreed. “Demons with extra body parts and tails are a market that needs to be tapped into. It would certainly make buying clothes for myself easier.”

Leviathan sat down as she watched Charlie and Bee trying on cozy animal pajamas. It was a bit out of her wheelhouse but she enjoyed seeing her niece and fellow sin enjoying themselves. It almost made her nostalgic for when Charlie would come visit her and they’d try on clothes together. She was thrilled when she asked her to help pick out a dress for her prom. It was a very important time for a young demon so she wanted to help her feel special.

“Do you think Seviathan will like this?” A teen Charlie asked, looking herself over in the mirror.

“Darling you look brilliant.” Leviathan smiled brightly, pinning the hem of her dress so it wouldn’t drag. “You’ll be the envy of the prom. Pun intended.”

Charlie laughed lightly before gazing away. “I just want prom to go well, y’know? Maybe it’ll make things better…”

Leviathan stopped working on the stitching before looking at her niece seriously. “Are you having troubles in your relationship with the Von Eldritch boy?” She wondered.

“W-Well…not troubles exactly but…” the young girl began letting out a sigh. “I’m wondering if this will work out. He’s so…pushy sometimes.”

“If he ever tries to push you into something you don’t want to do—!” Leviathan hissed.

“I know. I won’t let him.” Charlie promised, touching the corset of her dress. “Maybe a fun night at the dance will help us reconnect more.” The two headed demon glanced at each other before giving her an encouraging smile.

“Well just try to have fun, dear.”

The tall Sin recalled with a smile when she got a picture of her niece sent to her the night of the dance. Charlie had looked so elegant and her boyfriend was handsome if a bit cocky. Maybe he felt like he was special dating Lucifer’s child—which made sense—but she hoped that he was just nervous about the dance. Maybe this night would be a magical evening they both needed. A chance to reconnect with her first love in a romantic way.

But then the call from her niece shattered that hope like glass.

When she had gotten the call from Lilith after only a few hours, the aquatic demon rushed over to see her niece. The queen didn’t say exactly what happened but knowing Charlie came home in tears was enough to make Leviathan drop what she was doing to see her.

Leviathan rushed through a portal just outside of the Morningstar palace, very worried at the crying she had heard in the background. She hated the thought that Charlie’s special night was ruined. Work could wait for once; that sweet ray of sunshine needed her. She burst inside, not caring she looked disheveled.

“Queen Lilith! Where’s—?!”

“In the parlor…” Lilith told her gravely. “The poor girl ran to me in tears, barely able to speak.”

“Where’s her date?” Leviathan questioned, wanting to give that rotten boy a piece of her mind for ditching his date.

“He…was the reason she’s upset right now…” the taller queen explained delicately.

The two-headed demon gasped as she moved to the parlor. To her utter heartbreak, she saw her niece with her face buried in a pillow, her dress an absolute mess. From the scent in the air, it seemed like someone threw fruit punch onto her. That dress would definitely need to be dry cleaned but Leviathan would worry about that later. Charlie needed her.

“Charlie?” She tried, carefully sitting next to her and placing a hand on her back.

"Sev and I…broke up…” Charlie whimpered, shaking as she tried not to break down again.

“Oh you poor girl…” Leviathan whispered, carefully pulling the smaller girl into a hug. “I’m so sorry…”

“W-Wait your dress—” Charlie gasped softly, trying to pull back.

“You’re more important than a silly dress.” She reasoned softly.

Lip quivering, Charlie bawled in her aunt’s arms from utter heartache. It was very unfortunate her first relationship would end on such a sour note.

Leviathan recalled staying that night to comfort her niece with Queen Lilith. It seemed that Seviathan had been extra cruel to some lower class demons the whole night and made some terrible remarks about sinners. Charlie, for her part, tried to convince him to not be so cruel—which was odd for a demon—but he told her to stop acting like a “foolish dreamer” and quit embarrassing herself. She ended the relationship then and there and her ex’s sister threw punch at her in defense of her brother. The punch didn’t bother Charlie but breaking off her first long term relationship like that did.

“Charlie?” Leviathan piped in.

Charlie, wearing a sheep themed kigurumi, turned to her aunt. “Aunt Levi? Are you okay? Sorry if this is a bit boring.” She rambled.

“You mentioned having a girlfriend these days.” She began.

“Oh Vaggie? She’s the best! I think you’d like her!” The young girl smiled broadly.

“And she…treats you well, right?” She asked before looking serious. “If I need to scare her, just say the word.”

“Oh no no! She’s nothing like Sev!” The princess promised. “She’s way more mature and understanding than he ever was.”

Leviathan let out a sigh of relief as Charlie sat next to her. “I’m glad to hear that. I was worried about you that night.” She confessed.

Charlie blinked before holding her hand. “I’m really grateful you stayed with me and mom that night.” She told her softly.

“You deserve the world, dear.” The serpentine demon told her.

Charlie rested her head on her shoulder before pulling out a bag. “I snuck away to get something for you.”

Leviathan was a little uncertain about possibly wearing a fluffy costume in her ring but was pleasantly surprised when she saw a jewelry box. “What is this…?” She whispered.

“I saw it near the entrance of the store and I thought it fit you perfectly.” Charlie smiled.

She opened the box and saw two necklaces with purple gemstones. One was shaped like a diamond while the other was shaped like a spade. Purple may have been the common color of Envy but the aquatic demon always had a soft spot for gems like this.

“Do you…like it?” The princess asked shyly.

The two heads looked at each other before embracing her niece. “We love it…”

Chapter 3: Hello Bel

Summary:

The ladies meet Belphegor in Sloth for an impromptu spa day and we see how the sleepy sin has bonded with Charlie ever since she was small.

Notes:

Thank you to AnimeToonzForever and ParkRyder525 for help with this one.

I figured that they ladies would have fun in a spa and going down to Sloth would be fun for them all. I imagine that Belphegor would be very kind to Charlie and comforting to her which is why Lucifer and Lilith would seek her help to help Charlie go to sleep. I also imagine her smelling like lavender and other relaxing things. She cares a lot about her work but she will stop to help those she cares about.

I also wanted to include a variation of the reprise of A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman. I figured that would make a good lullaby for Charlie and I imagine Bel would have a nice singing voice. I also wanted her to be the one to give Charlie Razzle and Dazzle when they were stuffed animals. Lucifer brought them to life but Bel's the one that gave them to Charlie.

Chapter Text

Leviathan, Beelzebub, and Charlie were happily carrying their bags out of the mall, chatting about their latest purchases. Leviathan immediately put her necklaces on both her necks, touched that her niece would think of her so fondly. She was ashamed to admit she wasn’t the closest to Charlie when she was little but seeing her niece grow up softened her up a lot. And she would do anything for her.

Bee was happy to have some new outfits to show off at her next bash and some date night outfits with her beau Vortex. She really loved trying out new looks when going out. Elegant clothes for nice restaurants, easy to move in clothes for clubbing, and so many other styles. Her boyfriend was happy to be with her and she felt lucky he saw her as just another demon, not as a Sin.

Charlie loved her usual tuxes but she didn’t mind experimenting with her look. She loved showing Vaggie new outfits for their date nights. Maybe she could wear her new clothes on a date sometime.

After all the stress they’ve been through, they could use it.

“Mmm! That was great!” Charlie stretched, raising her arms over her head.

“Yeah I’ve been meaning to update my look!” Bee agreed.

“I hope you’ve been doing your laundry.” Leviathan teased. “Leaving clean clothes around doesn’t count.”

Bee felt her mane turn red from embarrassment as Charlie giggled. “H-Hey! That was one time after a bad hangover!” She retorted.

“Please remember to put these away.” The two-headed demon requested. “You’re not a college student even if you act like one.”

The fox-like demon stuck her tongue out before looking at Charlie. “You okay, honeybun? You look a little lost in thought.”

Charlie blinked before looking at her taller aunts. “Oh I’m okay. I was just thinking…I’m having so much fun with you guys that I was thinking maybe Auntie Belphegor might wanna have fun too.” She admitted.

“Hey that sounds like fun! It’s been AGES since we all met up!” Bee agreed.

“Well her schedule is usually pretty busy.” Leviathan mused.

“Auntie Bel always works hard…would it be okay if we invited her to do something fun?” The princess suggested.

“Yeah! Bel would SO know about the best spas in Sloth. I’ve been meaning to get some R&R.” Bee smiled.

“I’ll text her to see if she’s available.” Leviathan offered. “Hopefully she hasn’t fallen asleep in a random place again.”

“Oh yeah I remember when she did an all nighter working on her latest research project she ended up sleepwalking in Lust.” Bee giggled. “Ozzie said she woke up snuggled up in a pile of body pillows.”

“Better than a bunch of boob/butt mousepads.” Leviathan snarked.

(…)

Charlie was so happy to visit Sloth again. It was so relaxing with the pink skies and floating islands with waterfalls coming from above. It wasn’t surprising that hospitals, spas, and rehab centers made their home here. A lot of Hell’s medical facilities were inspired by this ring but Sloth did have the highest quality.

…Even if it took a stupid long time to actually get an appointment.

“Oh wow! It’s still so pretty here!” Charlie gushed.

“A tad bright but it’s a very comforting atmosphere.” Leviathan mused. “Where is she?”

Bee looked around, floating above to get a good look before perking up. “There she is!” She called down, pointing to a tall sheep demon in the distance.

Belphegor was standing outside the spa, her usual sleepy expression on her face. She slowly turned to see her niece running up to her. The sheep demon smiled softly as she held her arms open for a hug.

“Hello Charlie…” she greeted softly, chuckling when she was embraced by her niece.

“Auntie Bel! I’m so glad you could meet us!” Charlie gushed, the scent of lavender surrounding her. She looked up at her long necked aunt with big eyes. “How have you been?”

“Well the hospital has been keeping me busy but I’ve been resting as best I can.” Bel told her calmly.

“I hope you haven’t been in overworking yourself.” Levi told her. “You can’t just randomly fall asleep. You could get hurt.”

Belphegor blinked slowly, taking in Leviathan’s snark masking genuine worry. “I can assure you that I have improved on my narcolepsy and sleepwalking.” She reassured her.

“I’d hope so…”

Bee looked up at the entrance of the spa. “So what’s on the agenda? Massages? Mud baths? Hot spring soak?” She wondered.

“I was thinking the works.” Belphegor smiled, opening the door. “Shall we go in?”

Once they were checked in for the deluxe treatment, they got into comfy robes and towels. Their first treatment was a full body massage to loosen them all up. Leviathan especially needed a bit of attention around her necks and shoulders; being hunched over a computer and sewing machine could do a number on her.

“O-O-Oh t-t-t-thi-i-i-is-s-s i-i-i-is-s-s ni-i-i-ice…” Bee moaned, a masseuse tapping on her back.

“Mmm…we definitely needed this…” Leviathan moaned. “I may need to get some of that massage oil for myself…”

Belphegor, who had been getting a temple massage, glanced over to Charlie. “It seems like you’ve got a lot of stress on your shoulders…”

Charlie was lying on her stomach as she let out a sigh. “I guess you could say that…” she admitted. “Running the hotel and looking after everyone can be a lot…”

“You don’t have to take all of that on, you know…” Belphegor slowly told her. “If you ever need a break from work, you are always welcome here for a recharge. You and your partner.”

Charlie smiled as she shut her eyes. Maybe a break with Vaggie would be a nice change of pace. Since she was a fallen exterminator angel, maybe she wasn’t bound to the rules that she had to stay in the Pride Ring. It was worth a try somewhere down the line. Charlie got to briefly see Heaven so Vaggie should check out the rest of Hell.

“I’ll remember that…” Charlie mumbled sleepily.

Once they were loosened up, the gang got in the large mud bath tubs. They were resting their heads on special neck pillows with cucumbers over their eyes. “Hey what are these for again?” Bee wondered.

“Cucumbers are good for hydration and reduce puffiness around the eyes.” Belphegor explained, several cucumber slices on the eyes on her neck. “You’d be surprised at how many odd remedies actually work.”

“Aunt Bel, I was wondering,” Charlie began, turning to her as she removed the vegetable slices. “I understand why you opened a bunch of hospitals and rehabilitation centers in your ring but what gave you the idea to open spas?”

“My research can gain a lot through demons being clients. The types of treatments they need, how they react to certain courses, etc.” Belphegor explained. “I want to understand as best I can to improve the care of the demons in Hell.”

“That’s really nice of a goal.” Charlie smiled.

Bel giggled a bit as she fondly watched her niece. As much of a workaholic as she could be, the sheep demon did have a sense of caring for her people. Maybe she prioritized her medical research but when it came to her niece, she would do anything for her.

“What happened?” Belphegor questioned, confused at the sudden visit from Lucifer, Lilith, and a crying baby Charlie.

“She’s been so scared at night!” Lucifer fretted. “I’ve been trying to shield her from the rest of Hell but the noises are so loud!”

“The poor girl hasn’t been sleeping well at all…” Lilith sighed. “We’re getting worried about her. If she isn’t able to sleep at night, her powers could go out of whack.”

Belphegor nodded in understanding, knowing how baby demons—especially when it came to royals—their powers could fluctuate wildly. She had heard about baby Charlie teleporting away from the changing table, floating in her sleep, and temper tantrums that would shake Pentagram City. It wasn’t surprising that they were worried about their wellbeing. If her magic acted out, that could hurt her and others.

“Let me see her…” Belphegor offered, taking baby Charlie from their arms. She could sense fear in the poor little girl. Even for a hellborn, Hell could be pretty scary. “Shh…it’s okay…you’re safe here…” she soothed, holding her close.

Charlie’s cries soon stopped into whimpers as she looked up at the purpley-pink sheep demon. Her long ears dangled down in front of her, prompting the little girl to start petting them. They were so velvety and soft to the touch.

“Ah…ahhh…” Charlie cooed.

“H-Hey it’s working.” Lucifer laughed in relief.

“Perhaps we should get her some stuffed animals. I don’t think we can have you come over every night to help her sleep.” Lilith joked.

“I’d love to see her more but my work is important too.” Belphegor replied regretfully. “But I do have something that might help between my visits.”

With a wave of her free hand, the Sloth demon created two plush goat dolls dressed in little suits. Charlie’s eyes widened as she was given the toys. It was love at first sight for the little girl.

“Ahh!” She giggled happily.

“They’re adorable!” Lucifer gushed.

“Thank you so much.” Lilith smiled gratefully.

“As long as she has them, she’ll sleep soundly.” Belphegor promised, slowly starting to hum. “Every night you lie in bed…the brightest colors fill your head…a million dreams are keeping you awake~”

Lilith soon joined, tears welling up in her eyes. “We think of what the world could be. A vision of the one we see…a million dreams is all it’s gonna take~” she sang softly, her voice harmonizing with the Sin.

Lucifer could feel himself getting choked up as he placed a hand on Charlie’s head, seeing her finally starting to drift to sleep. “A million dreams…for the world we’re gonna make…”

“Aunt Bel?”

Belphegor let out a soft gasp as she saw Charlie offering her hand to her. “Oh…did I drift off again? I’m sorry…” she apologized.

“Oh it’s nothing like that.” Charlie assured her, helping her out of the mud bath. “Aunt Leviathan and Aunt Bee are heading to the hot springs.”

“Oh thank you for letting me know.” She replied, noticing the sad look on her niece’s face. “What’s wrong, dear?”

“I…I know you gave me Razzle and Dazzle when I was a little kid…” she began. “And dad brought them to life…”

“I was surprised he did that. But I’m glad they could help you growing up.” Bel told her.

“R-Right…um…Dazzle is gone…” Charlie whispered, shaking slightly. “When we were fighting the Exterminators from Heaven…he was…”

Belphegor immediately embraced her niece, knowing this weighed heavily on her. She was so kind and caring that it could hurt her. The poor thing must’ve been so scared to tell her.

“I made Razzle and Dazzle to protect you.” Belphegor told her softly, stroking her hair. “He was always a noble demon.”

“I’m so sorry…” Charlie sniffled.

“Shh…it’s okay…” the sheep demon promised, feeling herself tear up seeing Charlie cry. As unbothered as she seemed to be, Belphegor was fairly sensitive.

Once they were cried out, Charlie pulled out a portrait from her bag. “I was going to send this to you but…I figured now would be a good time.” She told her, an almost shyness in her voice.

Belphegor took the gift, stunned at what she saw. It was Razzle and Dazzle in their full demon forms. She was surprised they could actually grow that large but was grateful they could protect her. And while she was sad about Dazzle, the Sloth demon knew that the silly little goat was watching over Charlie.

“Thank you, Charlie…I’m really grateful for this gift…” she smiled warmly, gently wiping her eyes.

“Well…you did so much for me. It’s the least I can do.” Charlie smiled back.

The rest of the spa trip went along very well. Bee needed to spend some time in the colder pools of water because she was getting overheated in the hot spring. It was hilarious seeing her and Bel fluffing out like puffballs. Leviathan and Charlie immediately giggled like crazy seeing how silly they looked.

Even Bee and Bel couldn’t get upset at looking like doofuses. They were just happy having fun with their niece.

The day was ending and the Sins decided to escort Charlie home. They missed their quality time with her and Bee was grateful for the opportunity to spend the whole day with Charlie. When she had gotten the text about inviting her out from Lucifer, she was more than happy to drop her party plans to come over.

“Is your father going to be up still?” Leviathan wondered, watching as Charlie unlocked the hotel.

“Yeah I think so. He usually stays up working on his newest duck creation.” Charlie mused, opening the door to see KeeKee trotting up to greet her.

“Hi baby!” Bee gushed, laughing as the cat jumped in her arms. “Aww she is still so cute!”

“Shh!” Bel hushed, gesturing over to the couch in the parlor.

Charlie peeked inside to see her dad and Vaggie fast asleep on the couch. They had an album and a bunch of pictures scattered about. Upon closer inspection, she saw they were pictures of Charlie with her mom and aunts. Was this what they were working on all day? She quietly moved up to them, giving Vaggie a kiss on the cheek and hugging her dad.

“Thank you…” she whispered, letting the tears fall as she felt her aunts hug her.
