Chapter 1: September
Chapter Text
September 3rd
Sebastian locked his phone upon seeing a text from his Dad. He'd deal with whatever lecture his Dad had decided to grace him with later.
"Principal Smith is ready to see you."
Sebastian nodded politely at the receptionist and took a deep breath in and out as he walked into the office.
"Morning, Principal Smith. Is that a new haircut? Your husband is a lucky man," Sebastian charmed.
"You can lay off the compliments, Sebastian; you aren't in trouble. For once." Mrs Smith assured as Sebastian sat down.
"May I ask why your assistant called me to your office then?"
"We have a new transfer student this year, and as it's a special case, the board has handled everything about this student, not me," Mrs Smith explained.
"I'm still not quite sure what this has to do with me, Principal Smith."
Sebastian couldn't care less about a new transfer student. He was barely clinging to his spot at Dalton after the mess he made last year. Why would he spare a thought for a random student?
"To put it bluntly, this student will be the new Captain of the Warblers. He's here on a creative scholarship, and the only club he can run is the Warblers." Principal Smith explained with a slightly sympathetic tone.
"This is bullshit! I messed up a lot last year but corrected my mistakes!" Sebastian fumed.
"Sebastian, please mind your language."
"You told me that I would be staying on as Captain! I spent the last week of Summer planning Warbler rehearsals, and now you are telling me that some new kid is taking over?"
"The decision was made by the Board of Directors. I had no say in the matter. I'm sorry it's come to this, but I hope you can still enjoy your Senior Year."
"Although, there is still one more thing to discuss."
"No. If you are about to say that my nice empty room is about to be taken over by this guy-" Sebastian arched an eyebrow, unimpressed with how this was going.
"They saw that you had a double room with no roommate and decided you would be happy to share with a fellow Warbler." Principal Smith grimaced. This was not going to end well.
"How about I give the guy my name, too? He's taking over my whole life!" Sebastian pushed himself up from the chair and stormed out of the office.
"Hey, Sebastian. Is everything okay? You look like you're planning a murder," Thad asked, rushing to catch up with Sebastian.
"The Board of Directors decided we need a new fancy Captain for Senior year! And to make it even worse, they are putting him in my room!" Sebastian ranted, slowing down so Thad could catch up with him.
Thad was one of the only three Warblers he spoke to over the summer while in Paris. He was also the only Warbler who stuck by him for the entire year.
"What?! I know not everyone wants you as Captain again this year, but I'm sure if we put it to a vote, then we could elect you again, not a new guy." Thad assured, quickly making a plan in his head.
"That won't work. They've got him here on some fancy made-up Scholarship." Sebastian rolled his eyes.
"Are you going to meet him now? I can come with you if you want." Thad offered politely.
"I need to check that he isn't unpacking on my side of the room." Sebastian sighed.
"You can carry on with your unpacking. I'll meet you for lunch." Sebastian added, not wanting to be rude to one of the only friends he had left.
"I'll save you a seat!" Thad grinned and continued down the hallway as Sebastian stopped at his door.
"Why is there a cat on my bed?" Sebastian asked in the empty room.
Sebastian double-checked the room number before closing the door and approached the cat suspiciously.
"Are you lost?" Sebastian asked, the cat stretching up into his hand.
"I've never seen him play nicely with a stranger before," Hunter commented curiously, exiting the bathroom with a towel around his waist.
"You must be Sebastian Smythe. I'm Hunter Clarington. I'm the new Captain of the Warblers, and I'm not even remotely bi-curious."
Sebastian held back a groan, why did he have to be hot?
This was his karma for last year.
His roommate looked like a model, and he couldn't objectify him.
"That was a lot of words to say nothing at all. If that last part of your sentence was you saying you are homophobic, then you can transfer yourself right back to wherever you came from." Sebastian snarked, not in the mood for pleasantries.
"I'm not homophobic. I stated that I'm firm in my knowledge of being straight. I was informed that you are gay and have a habit of flirting with everyone, so I wanted you to know that there is no point in flirting with me." Hunter replied, walking over to the opened suitcase on his bed.
"Whatever, just move your cat and stay to your side of the room."
"And FYI, I wasn't going to flirt with you. You aren't my type." Sebastian added, tilting his head slightly to check out Hunter whilst his back was turned.
How does someone even manage to have an attractive back??
September 20th
"Jeff, pay attention. We've already had to restart once because of you." Hunter instructed from his chair.
"It's not my fault! Your cat tripped me up." Jeff huffed. The little demon spawn had it out for him.
"No one else seems to have a problem with Mr Puss walking around," Hunter stated with a firm tone.
"Sorry, Hunter," Jeff said, shoulders dropping.
"The problem isn't Jeff having a feud with a cat. The problem is that we're missing something, someone." Sebastian said from the sofa, Mr Puss on his lap.
"Where would you like to find this missing person? We already held auditions for the year." Hunter said with an eyeroll.
"McKinley High." Sebastian grinned.
"Blaine!"
"Yes, let's get Blaine back!"
"Do you think he remembers us?"
"BLAINE!"
"Someone hold me."
"Christmas has come early!"
"Blaine!"
"QUIET! Who is this Blaine and why did you all turn into cult members worshipping him?" Hunter asked, looking around the room with a slightly concerned expression.
"Blaine used to be our lead soloist, but he transferred to McKinley to be with his boyfriend," Nick explained.
"And you think we can get him back?" Hunter asked, they didn't particularly need a third lead soloist but if this was what it took to get the team on his side then he'd try anything.
"Kurt and Blaine broke up, so I don't see why not." Jeff shrugged.
"He should never have left in the first place," Sebastian grumbled.
"Maybe Blaine will go on a date with you now that he's single!" Thad suggested happily.
"How about instead of trying to set up Sebastian with a date? We start making a plan to get this Blaine back." Hunter sighed, hopefully, this Blaine was actually worth it and they didn't go through all of this just to get Smythe a boyfriend.
"How does everyone feel about breaking and entering?"

October 2nd
"I had a dream like this once. Although you were taking the blazer off instead of putting it on." Sebastian drawled from the doorway.
"Sebastian, hey." Blaine smiled and picked up his bag from his bed.
"Dalton looks good on you." Sebastian praised, looking Blaine up and down.
"Sex on a stick good?" Blaine teased.
"You are never letting that one go, are you?" Sebastian asked, following Blaine out of the room.
"I guess it was better than 'I know that hair', but it was still a pitiful attempt at flirting." Blaine laughed, bumping his shoulder into Sebastian as they walked.
"Bad flirting or not, it still got you flustered." Sebastian winked.
"Are the rest of the warblers meeting us for breakfast?" Blaine asked, a faint blush dusting his cheeks.
"Of course they are. Hunter threatened them with running laps to keep them in the dining hall, not your dorm." Sebastian laughed.
"Tell me more about Hunter. Is he a nice guy?"
"There isn't much to tell. Hunter is a former Military school student who runs a tight practice." Sebastian shrugged.
He didn't interact with Hunter outside of practice; their room was possibly the quietest place on campus. It was incredibly frustrating.
Not that he wanted to be friends with the guy.
Why would he want that?
"I'm surprised you aren't bragging about rooming with him. He seems just your type."
"What can I say? Maybe my type has changed." Sebastian winked, holding open the door for Blaine.
"I can never tell if you are being serious with the flirting or not. Last year, I thought you were doing it to annoy Kurt." Blaine admitted, looking up at Sebastian.
"I'm always serious about flirting with you, Killer."
"Good to know. Maybe this year will be different." Blaine grinned and headed towards the table of Warblers to rounds of cheers.
Huh, maybe this was going to be his year after all?
"Welcome back, Blaine!"
"We missed you!"
"Have you finished unpacking?"
"Warblers, what did I say about being calm?" Hunter asked as all of the questions overlapped.
"Sorry, Hunter." Echoed around the table.
"I missed all of you, too. It's great to be back." Blaine smiled and sat down with Sebastian.
"All of us? Even Sebastian?" Nick joked.
"Hmm, I haven't decided yet." Blaine teased, bumping his shoulder into Sebastian's.
"I know you missed me the most, killer. You don't have to lie for their benefit," Sebastian winked, his trademark smirk in place.
"If that's what helps you sleep at night, Seb." Blaine rolled his eyes.
"You know what would help me sleep at night-" Sebastian started before being interrupted by Hunter.
"As thrilling as this is to watch, may we move to more important Warbler topics?" Hunter asked, rolling his eyes.
"Blaine, you will be singing our third solo in sectionals. It will be My Dark Side, and we will do the same choreography as you did during your visit." Hunter explained.
"Oh, I wasn't expecting a solo for the first competition. Are you sure one of the other guys shouldn't have it?" Blaine asked, looking around the table.
"We are all happy you have the solo Blaine, don't worry," David assured.
"We didn't go through all that to get you back so you could do backing vocals. The solo is yours, killer. Enjoy it." Sebastian replied, smirk softening into a smile.
Blaine was finally at Dalton at the same time as him.
"Thank you. I do appreciate it. I was worried it wouldn't feel the same being back here, but it already feels like home." Blaine admitted with a smile.
"To Blaine!" Jeff cheered, holding up his drink, the rest of the Warblers following.
October 8th
"Have you and Blaine hooked up yet?" Thad asked in the middle of the Warbler study group.
"How uncouth of you, Thaddeus." Sebastian fake gasped.
"Well, have you?" Nick asked, placing his pen down, happy to be distracted from his work.
"Blaine wouldn't sleep with Sebastian this quickly." Trent hummed, not looking up.
"Sebastian would've told us straight away. He has no chill when it comes to Blaine." Jeff hummed, stealing some of Jon's Skittles.
"Remember when he made us watch that Christmas special the new directions did?" David asked, throwing a balled-up piece of paper at Nick.
"Aww, you watched that special for me? That's cute, Seb." Blaine's teased, walking into the room.
"I hate all of you." Sebastian deadpanned.
"But not me, right?" Blaine asked innocently, a slight smirk on his face.
"I thought this was a study group?" Hunter asked from the corner.
Sebastian wasn't sure whether he wanted to thank or curse Hunter for the interruption.
"Sorry, Captain." Echoed around the room as everyone refocused on their books.
October 12th
Sebastian hated Homecoming.
He wasn't jealous of the couples.
He had been asked out by seven different students already .
He was a catch.
But he didn't want to say yes to any of them because it felt like he was holding his breath, waiting for something that might not happen.
"Are you pining over Anderson again?" Hunter asked from his desk.
"I don't pine."
He didn't pine.
"Tell that to your face."
"If you are going to ask Anderson to Homecoming, please do it soon. The Warblers focus more on your non-existent relationship than on sectionals." Hunter drawled, placing his pen down and turning in his chair.
"Who are you taking?" Sebastian asked, wanting to shift the topic from Blaine.
"I don't know anyone in Lima." Hunter shrugged again.
Well done Sebastian, maybe this is why he doesn't want to be your friend.
"I'm sure they would let you sneak Mr Puss in." Sebastian offered after an awkward pause.
"That would probably look more pathetic than if I went alone," Hunter said.
"I'm sure you'll have a date by prom," Sebastian said with a hopefully reassuring smile.
"Yeah, maybe," Hunter hummed, smiling at Sebastian briefly before turning back around to finish his work.
Progress.
October 15th
"Hey Bastian, are you coming suit shopping with us later?" Jeff asked, leaning against Nick.
"Who else is going? Maybe we could see a movie afterwards." Sebastian suggested.
Most friends to lovers romcoms had a cinema scene, right? All he needed to do was to get Blaine to sit next to him and then he could 'accidentally' reach for the popcorn at the same time as him...
"Me, Nick, Thad, Blaine and Hunter."
"We can take two cars. I'll have Blaine and Thad," Sebastian said with a triumphant grin.
"Talking of Blaine, where is he?" Nick asked, looking up at his boyfriend.
"I saw him on the way, and he said he needed to grab something from his room before practice," Trent replied.
"Oh my God," Thad said excitedly, hitting Jon on the arm so he'd look up.
"It's happening!"
"What are you on ab-" Sebastian started to ask before he saw Blaine.
Blaine who was holding a bouquet.
And he was looking directly at him.
"I was going to serenade you, but that hasn't gone so well for me in the past." Blaine started, standing in the doorway nervously .
"I've heard about the Gap attack." Sebastian nodded in sympathy.
Nick had sat him down last year after he'd first met Blaine and showed him the infamous video and once he'd pushed past the second-hand embarrassment, he found Blaine's song choice hot .
"Who told you?!" Blaine asked and looked directly at Nick, who looked anywhere but at him.
"I've been waiting for you to ask me to Homecoming. Everyone has been waiting for you to ask me, and I couldn't figure out why you hadn't." Blaine said as he walked closer to Sebastian.
"Although you did not go about it in the best ways. You spent most of last year asking me, and I kept rejecting you."
"And he pined and moped a lot because of it," Trent interjected, the rest of the Warblers murmuring in agreement.
"Not helpful, Trent." Sebastian snapped.
He didn't pine.
Okay, maybe he did pine, just a little.
"My point is, it's my turn to do the asking." Blaine smiled and reached for one of Sebastian's hands.
"Sebastian Xander Smythe, would you like to go to Homecoming with me?" Blaine asked to the echo of squeals coming from the Warblers.
"I thought you'd never ask." Sebastian smiled brightly and happily accepted the flowers.
Who knew breaking and entering could lead to finally, finally , getting the guy?
"I love them, thank you." Sebastian held the bouquet up to his face before placing them on the table.
"This is the part where you kiss me," Blaine murmured as he leant up on his tiptoes.
Sebastian didn't have to be told twice.
If only past Sebastian could see him now.
"Okay, who had October 15th?" Nick asked as Jon pulled out a notebook from his bag as the couple got lost in their kiss.
"No one had October 15th specifically, but Thad had October 16th!" Jon read out.
"It's a beautiful day indeed." Thad smiled smugly, no one knew Sebastian better than he did.
"For the side bet of who will ask out who, Thad, me, Wes and David win because we chose Blaine asking Sebastian." Jon listed as Sebastian and Blaine slowly broke apart.
"Did you create a bet about us when I transferred back?" Blaine asked in confusion, leaning into Sebastian as the taller wrapped his arms around his waist.
"What? No, of course not!" Jon assured, even as he wrote the results in a book labelled 'Seblaine Betting Pool'.
"Jon, we can see the notebook," Sebastian said, stroking his thumb across Blaine's hip.
"Technically, he's not lying. We made this betting pool last year when you first met." Thad explained.
"WHAT?!" Both Sebastian and Blaine echoed.
"In our defence, it was running alongside our Klaine one from when Kurt attended Dalton," Jeff said, not wanting Blaine to get the wrong idea.
"We just refreshed our answers at the beginning of the year for the 'what day will Seblaine kiss' because it didn't happen last year," Jon explained.
"Are there any other parts of our life that you are betting on?" Blaine asked, relaxing back into Sebastian's touch.
"We were going to bet on when you'd have sex after Blaine transferred back, but Wes said that was too uncouth," Nick said and rolled his eyes.
"Children, we are friends with children," Sebastian said, shaking his head and leant down to kiss Blaine again.
"Maybe we should start a 'Seblaine kissing during practice' money jar, it can fund our movie nights," David suggested as they all watched the new couple.
"Oh, joy. I can't wait to see this every day." Hunter deadpanned, walking into the room.
"You told me to ask Blaine out a few days ago." Sebastian reminded Hunter.
"I didn't think it through. The PDA will be more annoying than the pining," Hunter said, stopping in the centre of the room.
"Whilst I'm sure all of you are very happy about the development because you worship Blaine to a weird degree, we still have practice. Let's do My Dark Side from the top."
"I still can't believe you used a Kelly Clarkson song to flirt with me," Blaine teased, kissing Sebastian once more before letting go.
"It's all about knowing your target audience, which I do because who just secured themselves a date to Homecoming?" Sebastian smirked, squeezing Blaine's ass, as he passed by to stand by Hunter.
"Sebastian!"
October 20th
"I can't believe this is finally happening," Thad said excitedly as Sebastian fixed his tie for him.
"Homecoming? This happens every year, Thad." Sebastian replied with a confused look.
"No! Well, yes, but no! You and Blaine attending together!" Thad corrected.
"We all love Kurt, and they were cute together, but you are my best friend, so I'm a little biased here," Thad added.
"At the risk of sounding like a teenage girl, I can't believe it's happening either," Sebastian admitted, he still wasn't fully convinced that he wasn't in a coma and this was all a dream.
"Do you think you'll win Prom King?"
"I didn't campaign for it, but maybe." Sebastian shrugged and turned to the mirror to check his hair.
"Sebastian, you've checked your hair six times in the last hour. You look good. Relax a little." Hunter said with an eye roll.
"Maybe if you checked the mirror more than once, then you would've noticed that your tie is crooked," Sebastian replied, with a matching eye roll as he walked over to Hunter.
Looking as annoyingly good as ever.
"I know you don't have a date to impress, but you are still the Captain of the Warblers," Sebastian said as he straightened Hunter's tie.
"Thank you, Sebastian." Hunter smiled when Sebastian looked up and only broke eye contact when Thad made a noise.
Snap out of it Smythe.
"I didn't know you knew how to smile." Sebastian teased.
"Maybe you've just never made me want to smile before." Hunter teased back, shoulders visibly relaxing more as they joked.
"You wound me, Clarington. I will make it my life's mission to make you smile every day from now on." Sebastian joked, placing a hand over his heart.
"Thad, what is going on with your face?" Sebastian asked.
Was he flirting with Hunter? No. He was with Blaine now, that was just friendly banter.
"What? Oh. Nothing! I just realised something." Thad said, looking flustered.
"That was very informative. Thank you, Thad." Sebastian laughed.
Maybe Thad was just thinking about Jon?
"Has anyone seen my Homecoming date? He's just under six foot tall and is always smirking at something." Blaine asked, walking through the open door.
"I'm six foot two, and you know it, killer. Don't make me smaller so that you feel taller." Sebastian laughed and moved away from Hunter so he could join Blaine, damn he looked hot.
"You look amazing, sex on a stick indeed." Sebastian praised, leaning down to kiss Blaine softly.
"You don't look so bad yourself." Blaine smiled brightly.
"Are you sure you don't want to skip Homecoming and find something...more interesting to do?" Sebastian smirked, biting his lip as he looked Blaine up and down.
"Nice try but you aren't getting out of this that easily, I want at least two dances from you," Blaine laughed and held onto Sebastian's hand as they left the room.
Sebastian was not the guy that took cute couples Homecoming photos or slow danced.
He definitely wasn't the guy who took even more posed Homecoming photos because he won Prom King, with his date.
And yet, that was precisely what he was doing with a smile.
Maybe he was that guy for Blaine Anderson?
"I can't believe I won Prom King with you. I wasn't even on the official nominees list!" Blaine said excitedly, straightening his crown for the photos.
"Dalton students are smart, and they know you are the best we have." Sebastian complimented and placed his hands on Blaine's waist for a stereotypical Homecoming photo that he knew Blaine would love.
"That's why you won as well." Blaine grinned and leaned on his tiptoes to kiss Sebastian's cheek for the last photo.
Yeah, he could be that guy for Blaine.
"Thank you, Matt!" Blaine smiled at the photographer as he walked away hand in hand with Sebastian.
"I know we've taken many photos tonight, and you haven't once complained about how cheesy they are. But would you mind taking some in the photo booth? I can use those for my relationship update post on Facebook," Blaine asked, looking up at Sebastian with hopeful eyes.
"Blaine Anderson, is this you asking me to be your boyfriend?" Sebastian teased.
He's got the crown, the boy and by the end of the year will have a Nationals trophy , suck on that Hummel.
"No, actually. I just changed my mind. I don't want to be your boyfriend anymore." Blaine huffed with a pout.
"Too late. I'm sorry, but you are stuck with me now." Sebastian grinned and pulled Blaine into the photo booth as his boyfriend giggled .
Blaine Anderson is in a relationship with Sebastian Smythe

"Why are you all in my room? How are you all in my room?" Hunter asked, staring at the group of Warblers lying across Sebastian's bed and the floor, Mr Puss staring at Jeff from his cat bed.
"Sebastian gave Thad a spare key last year in case of emergencies," David explained, reaching for some chips.
"I'm failing to understand the current emergency, " Hunter said, putting his gym bag down.
"You have the room furthest away from Blaine's which means we don't have to hear them having sex anymore," Nick explained, holding out the bowl of chips for David.
"We all invested in earplugs for last night," Jeff added, offering Hunter a Twizzler.
"They aren't comfortable to wear for hours though."
"Seb's room used to be the go-to hangout spot because he didn't have a roommate," Thad explained some more when it looked like Hunter needed more context.
"Would you like us to leave?"
Hunter looked at the group, pushed away the weird, unknown feelings he had about why they were all there, and put on a smile while accepting the Twizzler from Jeff.
"I'm happy for you to stay, I can get to know you all better," Hunter said to a unanimous cheer from the group.
"Do we need to go to your room right now? All of the guys are probably there," Blaine whined, letting Sebastian lead them down the hallway.
"I'm not spending the day in my homecoming suit and none of your clothes fit me because you are a cute little garden gnome," Sebastian teased, squeezing Blaine's hand as they walked.
"This is going to be so embarrassing," Blaine grumbled and pulled his collar up more to hide the hickey evidence.
Sebastian winked at Blaine and unlocked the door with a smug smirk, laughing at the cheers the Warblers let out when they walked in.
"Look who finally made it out of bed!"
"Unfortunately," Sebastian smirked and headed to his Wardrobe, stripping out of his dress shirt.
"Damn Blaine," Nick whistled, taking in Sebastian's back.
"We should invest in some nail clippers for you," Jeff teased.
Blaine groaned and hid his face in his hands as he blushed.
"Oh, now he's embarrassed," David laughed as Blaine grew even more red.
"Who knew the bashful schoolboy front was actually just a pretence?" Thad teased.
"Can everyone please stop before my boyfriend is permanently red?" Sebastian asked, taking a pair of underwear and some pants out of a drawer.
"You better be going into the bathroom to change into those," Hunter said from his bed, looking thoroughly unimpressed with the conversation.
"You would be lucky to see me without my trousers Clarington."
"Bas, please," Blaine pleaded, desperate to escape the room.
Sebastian relented and kissed Blaine's cheek as he passed by to head into the bathroom.
"Is that a hickey?" Jon asked after a few moments of silence.
"Of course, Sebastian is the kind of guy to leave a hickey," Trent remarked.
"I hate all of you," Blaine groaned, pulling his collar up even further.
"Spoken like a true boyfriend of Sebastian," Nick teased.
October 31st
"Are you sure I can't convince you to attend the Warblers party instead? Who am I meant to play beer pong with now?" Thad sighed.
"Sorry, Thad, but I promised Blaine we'd go to the New Directions party. He wants to reintroduce me to them." Sebastian replied apologetically, he'd much rather attend the Warblers party, that's for sure.
"I promise that we will come to the next party."
"Don't they all hate you?" Hunter asked as he exited the bathroom, a teasing smirk on his face.
"Most of the ones that hated me are in New York. Hopefully, the newbies aren't like sheep and don't hate me yet." Sebastian said, turning around to face the duo.
"Oh, um. You look good, I, erm. I didn't know you liked Captain America." Sebastian said as he looked Hunter up and down in a custom-made tight Captain America suit.
Stop staring, you have a boyfriend.
"I'm not a massive Marvel fan, but I love Captain America. I saw The First Avenger three times in the cinema." Hunter admitted as he tightened the shield onto his arm.
Fuck that was hot.
"You look good too, nice Bucky costume." Hunter praised with a smile.
"Oh, thanks. Blaine wanted to dress up as a superhero duo, and The First Avenger was my favourite movie this year." Sebastian smiled back.
"Blaine is also dressed as Captain America?" Hunter asked, his smile fading slightly.
Do I have a type?
No, shut up. I don't like Hunter, I just have eyes and can see that he's conventionally attractive.
"Well, this is awkward," Thad commented from the desk.
"Thank you for your input, Thaddeus." Sebastian huffed.
"We won't be at the Warblers party, so you don't have to worry about people thinking you tried to do a couples costume with me. Don't worry."
"Why would I worry about that? I wouldn't mind people thinking we matched on purpose." Hunter shrugged.
Oh?
"Thad, take a photo of us." Sebastian grinned and threw Thad his phone.
"First Huntbastian photo!" Thad cheered and took a few photos.
"Huntbastian?" Hunter asked with a confused expression.
Sebastian sighed and gave Thad a look before turning back to Hunter.
"The Warblers are obsessed with giving every friendship and couple a nickname."
"That's unusual," Hunter said.
"At least my name is first, though," Hunter grinned.
"Yet another thing you've taken from me. First, my Captain title, then my empty room and now my rightful place of being first. What's next?" Sebastian joked, placing a hand over his heart.
"Hopefully not you," Blaine said, walking into the room.
"You are mine, not his." Blaine winked.
"You can keep him. I'm straight, remember?" Hunter replied.
"I'm all yours, Killer," Sebastian assured and checked his boyfriend out .
"You look hot." Sebastian praised, wrapping an arm around his waist and pulling him close.
"So do you, hotter than Sebastian Stan." Blaine complimented and tiptoed to kiss Sebastian.
"We should get going. I don't want to be late," Blaine said, pressing another kiss to his lips.
"Have fun at the party, take photos!" Thad said.
"We'll try our best! Nice costume by the way Hunter!" Blaine complimented and placed his hand on Sebastian's chest.
"Thanks, you too," Hunter said, glancing briefly at the hand.
"Into the lion's den, I go." Sebastian sighed and saluted at Thad and Hunter as he let Blaine pull him from the room.
"That looks like an interesting cocktail. Is the party that bad?" Marley asked, stopping at the counter.
"My friend Thad said that this is what they are drinking at the Warblers party, so I wanted to join in," Sebastian explained, smiling at her.
So far, the party hadn't been a disaster. He hadn't had any drinks thrown at him, and no arguments had broken out. Tina wasn't happy he was there, but that didn't even register as a problem.
"It's nice that you came to this party with Blaine. I know he appreciates it." Marley smiled.
"I know that some of the older Glee members have some sort of rivalry with you from last year, but I wasn't here for that, so if Blaine approves of you, then I have no problem with you," Marley added, surprising Sebastian.
"That's a very mature way of thinking. I can see why Blaine likes you so much." Sebastian smiled, Blaine had once compared her to Thad and he could see why.
"Did you want to sing a song together? You probably only want to sing with Blaine, but you'd have to pry him away from Sam first." Marley joked.
"I'd love to sing a song with you. You have a beautiful voice, not many people could make me enjoy listening to High School Musical but you and your boyfriend were great earlier." Sebastian praised and followed her out of the kitchen.
"Thank you! It took a bit of convincing to get Jake to dress up as the Troy to my Gabriella, but I managed it in the end."
"Would you like to sing Bop to the top?" Marley asked excitedly, turning back to face Sebastian.
"Bastian, I'm tired." Blaine slurred, dropping onto his boyfriend's lap and interrupting his conversation with Jake.
"Do you want to go back to Dalton?" Sebastian asked softly, stroking his fingers through Blaine's hair.
"Not yet, I'm having fun." Blaine hummed, leaning into the touch.
"Want to have a quick cat nap before going back to your Blam adventures?" Sebastian asked, kissing his forehead as Blaine got more comfortable.
"You're the best. I don't care what Tina says. I love that you are here with me." Blaine yawned.
"If it makes you feel any better, I'm almost certain that Tina hates you being here because she has a crush on Blaine and not because of anything you did last year." Jake chimed in from the side.
"I'm not sure if that makes it better or worse if I'm honest." Sebastian joked.
"As long as you get the Sam Evans stamp of approval, then I don't think Blaine cares," Marley said.
"Sam said he likes your costume," Blaine murmured into Sebastian's chest.
"I guess I can call this a successful night then." Sebastian winked.
"We haven't sung a song together! Babe, we need to sing a song!" Blaine shot up, suddenly wide awake.
"We need to sing a song right now?" Sebastian laughed and let Blaine pull him towards the makeshift stage, sharing a fond smile with Marley.
"Do you still know all of the words to Uptown Girl? We should sing that! Do you think Nick would mind?" Blaine rambled as he searched for it.
"Yes I still know the words for it and I'm sure Nick will be fine with us singing it," Sebastian assured and accepted the microphone.

November 2nd
Sebastian parked his car and looked around the car park with a sigh.
"So this is where dreams go to die?"
"Stop being so dramatic, Seb. This is a public school, of course, it looks different from Dalton." Blaine rolled his eyes and followed his boyfriend out of the car.
"I promise to keep any thoughts I have about the place to myself from now on, mon chéri," Sebastian promised.
"I love it when you speak French." Blaine hummed, leaning up on his tiptoes to kiss his boyfriend.
"Alors je le ferai tout le temps, mon amour." Sebastian winked.
"All I understood then was you calling me, my love." Blaine laughed as they headed towards the choir room.
"I'll have to give you some special one-on-one French lessons," Sebastian smirked.
"Something tells me we'd get distracted after a few minutes." Blaine hummed.
"I couldn't imagine what by; I'm an innocent wallflower." Sebastian joked.
"Oh? I must've imagined homecoming night then." Blaine winked and pushed open the choir room door.
Why did they have to be at McKinley right now??
"This is a closed practice. No gay Warblers allowed." Kitty said, doing a shooing gesture with her hands.
"Does that mean straight Warblers are allowed?" Sebastian asked.
"Straight Warblers? Now that's a good joke." Tina said.
"Blaine, Sebastian, why are you here? Not that it isn't nice to see you, Blaine." Finn asked.
Charming.
"We're here to pick up Sam and Jake. Practice is usually over by now," Blaine explained.
"Aww, cute, double date." Brittany cheered.
"Brittany, Sam is your boyfriend." Artie reminded the cheerio.
"Oh yeah, sorry, Jake, but you can't go on a date with Sam," Brittany said apologetically.
"I'm dating Marley." Jake reminded everyone.
"Then why did you want to go on a date with Sam?" Brittany asked, with a confused head tilt.
"Did you have to pick them up in your Dalton uniforms? When you enrol, do Dalton burn all your other clothes?" Tina rolled her eyes.
"It's called school pride, something you have when you attend a school you can be proud of," Sebastian said.
"What exactly do you have to be proud about? Being a school full of rich kids with Daddy issues that think they are better than everyone just because they go to a private school?" Tina asked, leaning forward in her seat.
"Or maybe you are proud that you finally tricked Blaine into dating you even though you are a rock salt slushie-throwing criminal with preppy hair and a fake French backstory." Tina continued, shrugging off Sam's hand when he tried to stop her.
"Tina, that's enough. Sebastian has apologised for the slushie countless times and-" Blaine started until Sebastian touched his shoulder.
"I'm going to take a small break from my being nice promise to lay down a few home truths because clearly, you need it." Sebastian started.
"You are a delusional hag who only hates me because I'm doing the one thing that you can't: dating Blaine. You think that if Blaine didn't transfer back, then you'd have a chance with him because, in your lonely little mind, you misconstrued his friendship as him having a crush on you."
"I apologised for the slushie; it was a lame prank that got out of hand. I will always regret throwing that slushie. Why would I fake being French? Only desperate people would make up a defining characteristic, but I hear that is something you've done in the past, so I'm not surprised that you think other people would stoop that low."
Sebastian took a deep breath in and out and looked at the shocked faces in the room from the new kids and at Tina, who looked on the edge of either murdering him or bursting into tears, possibly both.
"Is it so hard for the two of you to get along?! I refuse to be stuck in the middle of this. Either be nice or don't talk to each other." Blaine threw his hands in the air with a sigh.
"I'm sorry, mon chéri," Sebastian said, kissing his cheek.
"I'm not apologising for anything. He's a criminal." Tina huffed, crossing her arms across her chest.
"Hey Sam, it's probably time for us to leave, right? Let's go." Jake said, breaking the awkward silence and kissing Marley's cheek before leaving the choir room.
"That was intense," Sam said when they were in the hallway.
"That's one word for it." Blaine rolled his eyes.
"I promise I'll be civil next time." Sebastian sighed.
"We'll talk to Tina and try to convince her to be civil too."
November 7th
Sebastian pulled out a headphone and lowered his book when he felt Mr Puss head-butting it again.
"Anything I can help you with?" Sebastian asked the cat.
"Your Dad is boring you? He has that effect on people." Sebastian hummed with a nod.
"I'm not boring." Hunter sighed from the desk, not looking up from his homework.
"That's not what Mr Puss is saying. I don't agree with him, but he has known you longer." Sebastian replied, placing his book aside so he could stroke the cat.
"Does Anderson know he's dating a massive dork?" Hunter asked.
"He's a bigger dork, so it cancels itself out." Sebastian laughed.
"That's probably the first time he's ever been described as bigger."
"Hey, no short jokes about my boyfriend. Only I can make those." Sebastian said.
"What's your problem with Blaine anyway?" Sebastian asked.
"I don't have a problem with your boyfriend." Hunter rolled his eyes and removed his glasses, placing them on his work.
"You could've fooled me. You always joke about him negatively and roll your eyes whenever you see he's here." Sebastian pointed out.
"That's because the two of you are always making out. Sometimes I'd like to come to my room and relax, not watch the two of you shoot softcore porn." Hunter said.
"Only sometimes? Does that mean sometimes you come back to the room and want to watch us make out?" Sebastian teased.
That would be hot.
"That's not what I meant, and you know it." Hunter sighed and rubbed his hands over his face.
"Babe, are you tormenting Hunter again?" Blaine asked as he walked into the room, balancing three takeaway coffee cups.
"Me? I would never! Hunter was saying how much he loves to watch us make out." Sebastian grinned innocently.
"That is not what he said, and you know it." Blaine laughed and placed the drinks down on the desk before going over and kissing Sebastian in greeting.
"Woah, little guy! Relax, it's just Blaine." Sebastian said, breaking the kiss to stroke a hissing Mr Puss.
"I don't know what I did for him to hate me so much." Blaine pouted.
"I wouldn't take too much offence to it. He hated Jeff before you came back." Sebastian hummed.
"Mr Puss doesn't like many people." Hunter shrugged.
He likes me.
"Blaine and I are going bowling with his friend Sam if you want to join us?" Sebastian offered, gently moving Mr Puss off him so he could get up.
"Jake and Marley are also coming now," Blaine said.
"It'll be fun and also mean I'm not the odd one out," Sebastian said.
Say yes.
Maybe this is how they could become actual friends.
"Sure, it'll be nice to be outside of Dalton for a change." Hunter smiled.
He has a cute smile.
Sebastian grimaced as his bowling ball missed all but one pin again and turned around with a sigh.
"This game is stupid." He huffed.
"Aww baby, it's okay, you can't be good at everything," Blaine said, clearly trying to hold back a laugh.
"And you really are not good at this. Is it a requirement to suck at bowling to be a Warbler captain?" Jake asked, looking at both Sebastian and Hunter.
"I've never been bowling before, leave me out of this!" Hunter grumbled, looking as put out as Sebastian after his turn mirrored his.
"Next game night, we are playing Wii sports, and we'll see who's better at bowling then," Sebastian said, dropping down next to Marley as Blaine took his turn.
"Another strike for team Jablam!" Sam cheered, high-fiving Blaine as he returned.
"Jablam?" Jake echoed quietly, sharing an amused look with Marley.
"At least you have a cute trio name. The best I can think of is Huntbasterose. It sounds terrible." Marley giggled.
"Matches the skills of your teammates." Jake teased.
"This was an unfair fight from the beginning. Pitting anyone against Blam is a death sentence!" Marley exclaimed.
"Maybe Sebastian can distract Blaine from getting so many strikes and throw off the Blam winning streak." Marley joked as Sam took his turn.
"That would require you pulling Blam's attention away from each other and the Warbler captains from each other." Jake pointed out.
"Oh, yeah that is surprising, I thought even on opposite teams that Blaine and Sebastian would distract each other." Marley mused and looked over at Blaine, cheering Sam on, and across at Hunter, who was showing Sebastian something on his phone.
"Nothing can beat the power of bromance." Jake joked and kissed Marley's cheek before getting up to take his turn.
Marley hummed and watched both duos curiously. She couldn't help but think that she was missing something.
"Everyone stand back. It's Sebastian's turn." Sam joked after Marley had scored a spare.
"Haha Evans, very funny." Sebastian deadpanned.
"I believe in you, babe!" Blaine cheered.
Sebastian took a deep breath in before taking his turn and closing his eyes.
"...Did Sebastian just get a Strike," Jake asked in shock.
"Woo go Sebastian!!" Marley cheered, jumping up and down, clapping.
"I knew you could do it." Blaine praised, leaning up to kiss Sebastian's cheek.
"No, you didn't, but I appreciate the thought." Sebastian laughed.
"Can you show me how to do that?" Hunter asked.
"Yeah, of course. Maybe we can stage a comeback and take some of the pressure from Marley's shoulders." Sebastian joked, moving to show Hunter how to mirror him.
"Okay, I think this is how I stood. Don't be so tense, loosen your arm as you bowl." Sebastian instructed Hunter and stood behind him so he could adjust his stance.
"Perfect, now take your shot." Sebastian hummed, letting go of Hunter's waist.
"I did it!" Hunter cheered, turning around and hugging Sebastian.
"I can't believe they both got strikes," Sam said in disbelief.
"As I said before, nothing can beat the power of bromance," Jake said.
"They make a good team in Warbler practice too." Blaine hummed.
"Hey, little Rose. Why do you look so pensive?"
"We just got two strikes in a row!" Hunter grinned.
"Oh, it's nothing. I was thinking about an assignment I need to finish."
"If you say so. I'm going to get a drink. I'll be back before it's my turn again." Sebastian saluted and pulled Blaine away with him.
"Hey, Hunter," Marley said, patting the seat beside her.
"Everything alright?" Hunter asked, sitting next to her.
"I wasn't sure if I should bring this up, but Blaine is still a close friend of mine even if he's at Dalton." Marley started, wringing her hands as she spoke.
"I'm not sure about all of the drama from last year involving Sebastian, but Blaine is happy with him now, and I want to make sure he stays happy."
"I'm sorry, I'm not following?" Hunter asked, raising an eyebrow at Marley.
Sure, he wouldn't call him and Blaine friends but he was still pleasant with the guy. Mostly.
"I know you have a crush on Sebastian, and I want to make sure you aren't planning to ruin his relationship with Blaine," Marley said quietly, ensuring no one else heard them.
"What?! I don't have a crush on Sebastian! I'm straight." Hunter rushed out, eyes wide.
"Oh, um, I didn't realise you didn't know." Marley squeaked.
"Didn't know what? We're just friends, barely even that!"
"I just thought with the way you smiled at him and asked him to show you how to bowl, that you liked him. It's a classic rom-com move ."
"I don't like Sebastian. I'm straight." Hunter repeated, glancing over at the couple as they queued for drinks.
"And even if I did like him, I wouldn't tell him because I know how much he likes Blaine."
"Of course! I'm sorry for bringing it up." Marley said apologetically.
"You were just looking out for Blaine." Hunter shrugged and finally looked away from the couple.
"Nothing to worry about here."
November 22nd
"There you are! Hunter was about to send out a search party for you." Sebastian said, walking into the science classroom.
"Sorry, Cooper phoned and I had to duck into a classroom to hear him." Blaine apologised.
"Everything okay?" Sebastian asked. He was nervous about meeting the infamous Cooper.
"His flight got delayed, so he's going to miss the performance, which means my parents will, too because they are still at the airport." Blaine sighed.
"I'm sorry, Killer. I know you were looking forward to them being here," Sebastian said, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend.
"Maybe it's for the best. Cooper would point out everything he thinks we did wrong, even if we win."
"If we win? You mean, when we win." Sebastian hummed, swaying slightly on the spot with Blaine.
"I still don't know how Whistle became part of our set list," Blaine joked.
"Hunter was making a list of potential solos, and I joked about Whistle. He added it to the list because he hadn't heard it before and by the time he heard it, he refused to back down and lose." Sebastian laughed.
"It seems that you've finally met your match." Blaine laughed and left the classroom with Sebastian.
"BLAINE!" Sam cheered, breaking away from Artie and Brittany to catch up with the couple.
"SAM!" Blaine grinned and let go of Sebastian's hand to hug Sam.
"Evans." Sebastian nodded in greeting.
"Hey, dude!" Sam grinned.
"It's so weird being on competing sides again! It didn't hit until now." Sam mused.
"It's weird, but at the same time, it feels like I never left Dalton," Blaine admitted.
"I'm sorry to cut this short, but Hunter needs us back," Sebastian said, slipping his phone back into his pocket.
"Good luck, and tell little Rose that we're excited for her solo." Sebastian smiled.
"Of course! We're excited to see you perform, too." Sam replied.
"Well, apart from Tina. She's not looking forward to it."
"She'll get over it eventually." Sebastian rolled his eyes.
"May the best team win."
Thanksgiving Dinner, after sectionals
"Are you sure your Parents aren't going to kick me out?" Sebastian asked nervously as they approached the house.
"I never told my Parents who threw the slushie. In their eyes, you are my friend from Dalton from last year who I'm now dating," Blaine reassured.
"I've never had to meet Parents before," Sebastian admitted.
"My Dad will disapprove of you no matter what because that's how he is. But hopefully, he won't outright say it." Blaine sighed.
"My Mom will like you once she sees how we are together. Cooper is a wild card, he didn't dislike Kurt but he also didn't fully approve of him."
"Focus mainly on your Mom and try to be better than Hummel for your brother. Shouldn't be too hard." Sebastian smirked.
"Mom, Dad, I'm home!" Blaine called out, shrugging out of his coat.
"There he is, our winner!" Pam cheered, rushing out to hug Blaine.
"Hey little bro, you won!" Cooper grinned.
"It was a group effort, I only sang the one song." Blaine blushed and reached out for Sebastian's hand.
"Mom, Cooper, this is Sebastian." Blaine smiled brightly.
"It's a pleasure to meet your Mrs Anderson. I can see where Blaine got his good looks from." Sebastian praised.
"What a charmer. It's lovely to finally meet you , Sebastian."
"It's nice to meet the guy plastered all over Blaine's Facebook," Cooper said, pointing at Sebastian.
"We'll let you settle in, maybe change into something more comfortable than your uniform. Cooper, watch the football with your Dad. Don't bother your brother." Pam instructed before heading into the kitchen.
"See, now that wasn't so scary." Blaine hummed, tugging Sebastian towards the staircase.
"Where do I know your brother from? He looks familiar." Sebastian asked, following Blaine up to his room.
"He's the free credit ratings guy." Blaine sighed, this happened every time.
"Oh yeah, that's it. I hate those adverts with a passion." Sebastian rolled his eyes.
"And what was with the pointing?" Sebastian asked, letting out an undignified squeak when Blaine pressed him against the door to kiss him.
"If I tell you that I think his hair looks stupid and I don't like his outfit, will that get me anywhere?" Sebastian smirked.
"We are not having sex with my family downstairs." Blaine deadpanned.
"Ugh, you are no fun." Sebastian rolled his eyes with a smile.
"Want to make out on my bed for a bit?"
Sebastian looked around the table curiously. They were halfway through the meal and not a single word had been spoken.
"The food is delicious, Mrs Anderson," Sebastian said, breaking the tense silence.
"Thank you, dear! You can call me Pam no need to be so formal." Pam smiled.
"Tell us more about your performance. Did anyone record it?"
"Sam said that he recorded all three songs. I'll send it to you when I have it." Blaine nodded.
"Hunter sang the first song, I had the second one and Blaine was our closing song. Saving the best til last." Sebastian praised.
"Hunter is the new Captain, right?" Pam asked.
"Yes, he's doing a great job so far. He's really helped me with our choreography." Sebastian nodded with a small smile.
"How come you were replaced as Captain?" Mr Anderson asked, looking directly at Sebastian.
"Hunter is on a Scholarship, and being Captain of the Warblers fit the most out of all of the clubs Dalton provides, so Sebastian stepped down so that Hunter could stay," Blaine explained carefully.
"I'm sure your friend can talk for himself, Blaine." Mr Anderson sighed.
"Boyfriend, and yes, I can, but Blaine explained it perfectly. Sir." Sebastian said curtly.
"What are your plans for College? Or should I ask Blaine for the answer?" Mr Anderson asked.
"I'm going to Columbia University for Law, and I'll minor in dance if I can," Sebastian said, holding Blaine's hand under the table.
"Why bother with dance? Law is a respectable field to go into. No need to waste your time with pointless dance classes."
"Because I've been attending dance classes since I was a toddler, why stop now?" Sebastian squeezed Blaine's hand softly. He could tell that his boyfriend was holding back comments for his Dad.
"That's wonderful, Sebastian dear! What field of dance do you specialise in?" Pam asked with a smile.
"I'm versed in a few fields, but my main dance focus has always been ballet," Sebastian smirked, knowing that would trigger Mr Anderson.
"Ballet? And your Dad allows that?" Mr Anderson asked with a grimace.
"My Dad has no say in what I do in my free time. My Maman is the one who signed me up for Dance classes when I was younger."
"That's clear to see, I pers-" Mr Anderson started.
"Dad, that's enough. Sebastian is not only a guest here but also my boyfriend and you either need to respect him or ignore us," Blaine snapped.
"I'll finish my food in the study." Mr Anderson said after a few tense moments.
"Well, that was awkward. I can use that feeling for my next audition, though, thanks guys." Cooper grinned.
Sebastian shifted on the bed and ran his fingers through Blaine's hair with a hum.
"Did you want to tell me what's on your mind, or are we ignoring it for the night?" Sebastian asked quietly.
"I realised during Dinner that we hadn't spoken about our colleges before. I've always planned to go to NYADA." Blaine started.
"You'll be extra busy at Columbia because you'll be a law student also dancing, and we'll barely see each other."
Sebastian sighed and sat up, bringing Blaine with him and holding onto his hands.
"And you are worried because being apart during college is where it all started to go wrong between you and Kurt?" Sebastian asked.
Blaine nodded and gave a slight shrug, not trusting his voice enough to speak.
"Sweetie, this was always going to be where we were heading," Sebastian said, cupping his cheek in his hand.
"Not the Kurt thing, but the separate colleges. I was never going to go to NYADA."
Blaine frowned, placed his hand over Sebastian's and kissed his hand softly.
"I know, I guess I was just pushing away the thought until now."
"We can talk about this more another time if you want, I can see how tired you are from today's events, so you are going to push everything from your mind and sleep." Sebastian hummed, kissing Blaine's forehead before lying back down.
"You'll be here when I wake up?" Blaine asked through a yawn.
"Nowhere else I'd rather be," Sebastian murmured, wrapping his arms around Blaine who wrapped himself around his chest.
Nothing perfect ever lasted forever.
Notes:
Cracks are starting to form! Thank you for reading, December should be posted on Thursday<3
(sorry to Tina for this chapter, i still love you)
Chapter Text
December 1st
Contrary to popular belief, Sebastian didn't hate Christmas.
Christmas was one of his favourite times of the year. Still, the amount of decorations currently covering the Warbler Commons was nightmare material.
Even Mr Puss had been forced into a cat-sized Christmas jumper!
"STOP! Don't move." Thad called out, holding his hands up to stop Sebastian and Blaine.
"Oh God, what is it? Is there a spider on me?" Blaine asked with a shudder.
"Why would a spider be on you?" Jeff asked with a confused expression.
"You are standing under the mistletoe!" Nick cheered, both Sebastian and Blaine looking up at the doorway.
"Not that the two of you ever need an excuse to kiss, the kiss jar is half full already," Trent rolled his eyes from the sofa.
"Well, it would be rude to break a Christmas tradition," Sebastian smirked and dipped Blaine into a long kiss as the Warblers cheered.
"Much better than a spider." Blaine laughed.
"I should hope so," Sebastian said and bent down to stroke Mr Puss as Blaine left to sit with Nick.
"What did they do to you? Poor little guy, it's only December first!" Sebastian cooed, the cat purring happily at him.
"No, fair! Why doesn't he scratch you up!" Jeff frowned.
"Maybe because I don't force him into ugly Christmas sweaters?" Sebastian rolled his eyes.
"Mr Puss adores him. He's always hissing at me when I get too close to Sebastian." Blaine sighed.
"Can't believe the poor cat has Stockholm syndrome," Trent said, shaking his head.
"Why does this room look like Christmas threw up on it?" Hunter asked, entering the room.
"Mistletoe!" Thad squeaked out.
"Mistletoe?" Hunter asked and looked up.
"That's on me for not moving," Sebastian said, standing back up slowly.
"Aww, Smythe, were you waiting for me to arrive? How sweet." Hunter joked.
"I got distracted by how ridiculous Mr Puss looks!" Sebastian defended himself.
At least I think that's what happened?
No. It is what happened, I would never cheat on Blaine.
"Stop stalling. You know the rules!" Jon hollered, looking way too entertained by the situation.
"Blaine, a little help here?" Sebastian pleaded he didn't want to ruin his relationship because of a Warbler joke gone too far.
"You got yourself into this one, sweetie. I can't help." Blaine laughed, looking way too amused about the situation.
"Someone record this. This is going to be part of Warbler history," Jon said, leaning forward in his seat.
Sebastian sighed and turned to face Hunter, who raised an eyebrow at him in challenge.
"No fair, that's cheating!" Nick protested when Sebastian kissed Hunter's cheek.
"I have a boyfriend!" Sebastian protested.
"And I'm straight, but you know the Warblers better than I do, and they won't let us start practice until we kiss." Hunter shrugged , he was nervous because he didn't want to ruin the friendship that they were building between them but he didn't want to show that just in case it got misinterpreted as him having a homophobic freakout.
"Blaine isn't going to break up with you because of a mistletoe kiss," Trent said.
"What Trent said," Blaine assured with a nod.
"And no half-second pecks are allowed. It's in the official rule book!" Nick said, holding up an actual rule book.
"I'll count to ten, and then you can stop kissing," Jeff added.
Sebastian rolled his eyes and gripped the back of Hunter's neck as he pulled him in for a kiss.
Why waste an opportunity like this?
"That's hot." Blaine hummed, watching the pair closely.
"For a straight guy, Hunter is going for it," Jon said.
"He's definitely using tongue." Thad nodded.
"They probably see it as some sort of competition." Trent rolled his eyes, bored already.
"And that's time! Put your tongues away before you scar Nick for life." Jeff called out.
Surprisingly good for a straight guy but not good enough for him to suddenly fall in love.
"Not bad, Clarington. Blaine is better, though," Sebastian smirked and walked over to Blaine, who had his arms open and ready.
"Not as unbearable as I feared, but alas, I'm still straight." Hunter winked.
"Now that, that's over. Why is my cat in a Christmas jumper." Hunter asked, looking around the room.
December 3rd
"Do you think we should go and help Nick?" Blaine asked, leaning into Sebastian's touch.
"He got himself into this situation, I'm sure he can get himself out of it." Sebastian hummed, running his fingers through Blaine's hair.
"I can't believe Jeff would ever let him do something so reckless," Blaine said, watching Nick and Hunter battle it out.
"Jeff got distracted by Thad almost being crushed by Jon during twister," Sebastian explained.
"Not that you would've noticed, being all curled up like a cat over here." Sebastian teased.
"Thad nearly got crushed and you didn't rush over to mother hen him?" Blaine asked, raising an eyebrow at his boyfriend.
"Darling you are currently lying across both of my legs." Sebastian pointed out, making Blaine laugh and cuddle closer.
"Are you two done being sickeningly sweet yet? We need two more players for Catan." Trent said.
"Can we play from here?" Blaine asked hopefully, he really didn't want to move.
"I think you already know the answer to that Killer." Sebastian laughed.
"Can't you scare them into doing it?" Blaine huffed, sitting up with a frown.
"Seb doesn't scare any of us now we've seen how domestic and sweet he can be." Trent shrugged.
"You've ruined my perfectly built reputation." Sebastian sighed, sitting opposite Thad and Jon and pulling Blaine onto his lap again.
"I'll just have to make it up to you later," Blaine said into Sebastian's ear and leaned up to kiss him.
"Nope, none of that," David said, throwing his cushion at the couple.
"That's a dollar for the jar,"
"The jar is for kissing during practice!" Blaine protested.
"You've spent the whole first half of game night curled up on the couch cuddling and kissing instead of playing any games, that's a dollar for the jar."
Blaine huffed and got two dollars from Sebastian's pocket and handed them to David.
"We're playing in our usual teams, myself with David, Thad with Jon and then the two of you," Trent explained, rolling his eyes as the couple shared another quick kiss.
"Jon and I are going to win this time, I'm sure." Thad grinned and rolled the dice.
December 7th
"How's everything going with Sebastian? He hasn't suddenly turned evil again has he?" Sam asked as they looked through the shelf of new releases.
"Everything is going well, Seb is a surprisingly great boyfriend." Blaine smiled softly.
"And he wasn't evil last year."
"Have you said I love you yet?" Sam asked, picking up one of the new X-Men comics.
"Sam, we've only been dating for two months."
"Yeah, but you've known him since last year."
"I was dating Kurt last year." Blaine shrugged and picked up a comic.
"What's the point in rushing anyway?" Blaine asked.
"As long as you are happy." Sam smiled and swapped comics with Blaine.
"Tina was talking about colleges again earlier and I want to be excited but what if I fail all my exams? I don't want to be stuck here forever."
"Tina is going to be at Brown and you are going to be at NYADA and I'm going to be here all by myself."
"You aren't going to fail your exams, Sam. You are smarter than you give yourself credit for," Blaine praised.
"Why don't you come to New York with me? We can get an apartment together and be Blam in New York!" Blaine said excitedly.
"Even if I fail my exams? I'm not sure I could afford that Blaine."
"My parents will be paying for the apartment for my first year in New York, it's a deal I made with them." Blaine grinned, already planning the move in his head.
"I saw an X-Men cookie jar on the way in, that would look so cool in our apartment dude," Sam said, pulling Blaine back down the aisle.
"Will Sebastian be alright with us living together? I don't want to be the permanent third wheel and there are some things I do not need to hear."
Blaine faltered and felt a wave of guilt go through him , he hadn't thought about Sebastian at all during the plans.
"I'm sure it will all work out as life intended," Blaine said, his smile not reaching his eyes.
Blaine rubbed at his eyes again as he tried to focus on his French essay, he couldn't stop thinking about his conversation with Sam earlier.
"Do you ever think about the future?" Blaine asked after a few minutes.
"Well, that was out of nowhere." Sebastian hummed, not looking up from his essay.
"But yeah, of course I do. Winning Regionals and then Nationals, graduating, college."
"That's all? Nothing else?" Blaine asked.
"Well, if you want me to go into more detail, then I guess Thad and I are planning to live together because we're hopefully going to the same College," Sebastian replied.
"That's the problem."
"I'm going to need some more context here, Killer," Sebastian said, placing his glasses on the side table.
"Sam and I talked about colleges earlier, and how we should live together," Blaine started.
"And then he asked me if you would be alright with this and I realised that I hadn't thought about it, and you did the same with Thad."
"And most couples would've been planning to move in together." Sebastian pieced together.
"We didn't even speak to each other about our colleges until my Dad brought it up at Thanksgiving. Couples are meant to plan their futures together, but we're planning two separate futures." Blaine frowned and joined Sebastian on the bed, straddling him.
"We'd still be in New York together," Sebastian said, wrapping his arms around Blaine.
"Would our relationship survive our college schedules? And us living apart?" Blaine asked, resting his head on Sebastian's chest.
"Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing that until it happens." Sebastian frowned, there was a reason why he was avoiding this topic.
"I can see us still being together when we graduate without a doubt, our relationship is perfect right now. And then we'd move to New York , but I don't know if I want to risk our relationship deteriorating when we're apart to the point where we wouldn't be able to be friends if we broke up." Blaine said quietly, almost like he didn't want to let the thought out.
"I love being with you. That's not going to change," Sebastian assured.
"But are you in love with me?" Blaine asked, looking up at Sebastian.
"Everything is telling me that I should be, but I'm just not there yet," Sebastian admitted after a few moments , why wasn't he there yet?
"Sam asked me earlier if I loved you and I said we're not there yet. That it's only been two months. But I don't want to wait until I'm in love with you to rip the bandaid off."
"You've been an amazing boyfriend, but you are an even better friend, and I don't want to lose that, I don't think I could get through losing our friendship when I've only just got it back," Blaine sat up and cupped Sebastian's face.
"Who's going to tell the Warblers?" Sebastian joked, leaning into the touch.
"They are going to be heartbroken, they may never recover." Blaine laughed and kissed Sebastian softly.
"Want to have breakup sex?"
"Blaine Anderson, you little minx." Sebastian laughed and pushed his work off the bed.
December 8th
"What's going on? Why do you all look like someone's died?" Hunter asked, entering the Warbler Commons.
"Love is dead!" Thad exclaimed. Jon comforting him.
"Gone but not forgotten." Jeff nodded solemnly, Nick nodding along with him.
"I always complained about them, but I didn't think we'd lose them so soon," Trent said, dabbing at his eyes with a handkerchief.
"Blaine and I broke up, and they are all being incredibly normal about it," Sebastian said, clearly trying to hold back a laugh.
"Oh, I'm sorry about that. The two of you seemed happy," Hunter said awkwardly.
"Oh, we were, but we realised that there was a chance that we wouldn't work out long-term with our college plans so we broke up before it soured," Blaine replied, knocking his shoulder into Sebastian's.
"Who knew breakup sex could be so good?" Sebastian smirked.
"Sebastian!" Blaine groaned and covered his face in his hands.
"I feel like the jar needs a dollar for this," Jeff said.
"I don't think breakup sex is a thing," David said.
"Apparently it is if you are Seblaine." Nick laughed.
"Are the two of you still going to be hooking up until graduation?" Jon asked.
"Now why would you need to know that Jon?" Sebastian asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I just want to know if I can retire the earplugs or not," Jon defended himself.
"Can we please stop talking about Sebastian and I having sex," Blaine said, voice slightly muffled by his hands.
"I second that. Now everyone get up. This is the last practice before winter break." Hunter said, placing Mr Puss down gently.
December 19th
"Yes, Maman, I promise I'm alright at Dalton for Christmas." Sebastian sighed. He wasn't, but his Mom didn't need to know that.
"Tell Skylar that I hope he feels better soon," Sebastian said as he unlocked his door.
"No, Sky, you don't need to apologise," Sebastian assured, raising an eyebrow when he saw Hunter sitting at the desk.
"You haven't ruined anything. My roommate is still here for Christmas, so I'm not alone, I promise."
"Au revoir, je vous Skype le jour de Noël. Je vous aime tous les deux." Sebastian smiled and placed his phone in his pocket.
"Everything alright? I wasn't expecting to see you back here until after Christmas." Hunter said as Sebastian placed his bag down.
"My younger brother Skylar caught the flu, so he can't travel here for Christmas anymore with my Maman." Sebastian sighed and flopped onto his bed.
"I'm sorry. I know how excited you were to see them again." Hunter apologised.
"What about your Dad?"
"He's on a cruise until after New Year's with his new twenty-four-year-old girlfriend." Sebastian rolled his eyes.
"Not that I'd want to spend Christmas with him anyway. I'll phone Blaine and see if I can gatecrash, I'm sure you have plans of your own." Sebastian said, taking his phone back out.
"My plans for the Christmas break were to stay here," Hunter admitted.
"I don't have anywhere else to go in Ohio, and I do not want to go to Colorado."
"Wait, your parents didn't move here with you?" Sebastian asked, he'd never heard Hunter mention his family now that he thought about it.
"I had some issues at the Military School I attended, and my Parents refused to help and actively sided with the problem. So, I packed up my bags and transferred here." Hunter explained.
"The special circumstances are why I was allowed to bring Mr Puss."
"Did you want to talk about it? I know a thing or two about neglectful Dads." Sebastian said, sitting up in bed.
"There is an expectation at a school like that to look a certain way, no matter how you achieve it," Hunter said after a few moments, moving to join Sebastian on the bed.
"I'm not sure who started it, but I found out that everyone was taking Steroids, and that's why they were all bulking up. Not going to the gym like I was."
"And your teachers didn't do anything about it?" Sebastian asked.
"They didn't care about it. They only cared about the money the school got when we won competitions," Hunter explained.
"I told my parents, and my Dad said that he paid a lot of money for me to attend the school, and he didn't appreciate me trying to cause trouble."
"It sounds like our dad would get on. They care more about money and business than they do their sons."
"Did you want to talk about it?" Hunter asked.
"It's nothing terrible, not as bad as it could be. He prefers to pretend that I don't exist." Sebastian shrugged.
"Apart from the many times he's lectured me about 'embarrassing the family name' by being gay or when I screwed up last year," Sebastian added.
"He disapproves of you being gay? I just assumed you had supportive parents because of how confident you are with your sexuality." Hunter admitted.
"My Mom is supportive, and so is my younger brother, but my Dad thinks being gay is a sin. The only reason he lets me live with him is because kicking out your teenage son looks worse than having a gay son."
"I'd offer you a safe place to stay so you don't have to be with your Dad, but I'm technically homeless. I'll always be here in our room if you need me." Hunter smiled, knocking his shoulder into Sebastian's.
"Thanks, Hunter, I appreciate the thought. I'm glad we're friends." Sebastian smiled and leaned against him for a few seconds.
"Would you like to come to Blaine's with me? Sam will be there too." Sebastian offered.
"Are you sure he wouldn't mind? It's not like we're close, I barely speak to him outside of practice." Hunter said.
"Blaine would let you come even if you hated each other. He wouldn't want anyone to be alone for Christmas. And if he said no, I'd stay here with you." Sebastian smiled, not focusing on why that wasn't a lie just to comfort Hunter.
December 25th
"Merry Christmas little bro! Woah, there are more of you in here than expected." Cooper said as he looked around Blaine's room.
"Cooper? What are you doing here? I thought you were busy with a Christmas commercial." Blaine asked, yawning as he sat up.
"I was but seeing as I'm the star of the shoot, I demanded two days off to surprise my little brother!" Cooper grinned.
"Why is your boyfriend sleeping on an inflatable mattress with a hunky dude and not cuddling you? Is that the blonde kid from your glee club in your bed? Do I want to know what went on here?" Cooper asked, pointing at each individual as he mentioned them.
"Sebastian and I broke up. I told you about that a few weeks ago." Blaine rolled his eyes.
"And the other two men in your room when there are currently three spare bedrooms in the house? And since when did you have a cat." Cooper asked with a raised eyebrow.
"The guy next to Sebastian is Hunter. He's the Warblers Captain. Next to me is Sam, he's my best friend. The cat belongs to Hunter. He's called Mr Puss." Blaine explained.
"They've been here since Christmas break started. We're sharing my room because Sam thought the world was going to end this week and he didn't want any of us to be alone during it." Blaine started to explain.
"We've been watching Christmas movies every night because Hunter hasn't watched any before."
"Never seen a Christmas movie before?! Have you shown him my Hallmark movie yet? It is the beautiful tale of a model destined for billboards and billions but instead , he stayed in his quaint little town because he was looking after his beloved Grandma's coffee shop. One day, his childhood crush came back to town and relearned the magic of Christmas through snowball fights and coffee." Cooper said with a look of pride on his face.
"I hadn't gotten around to it yet. I was showing all of the classics first." Blaine said, amused by his brother's theatrics.
"We can all watch it together tonight!" Cooper said excitedly.
"Now, wake your three boyfriends up. There are presents to open!" Cooper cheered and left the room.
"Is he gone?" Sebastian asked after a few moments of silenc e.
"Yes, Seb, he's gone." Blaine snorted, of course, Sebastian was awake that whole time.
"Your brother was weirdly supportive about you having three boyfriends," Hunter said, sitting up on the inflatable mattress.
"You were both awake and didn't try to help me through that trainwreck?" Blaine asked with an exasperated sigh.
"What were we meant to do? Once your brother starts, nothing will stop him." Sebastian pointed out.
"That's true." Blaine hummed.
"If it makes you feel any better, I'm certain that Sam is still sleeping." Hunter laughed.
"Can you wake him up? I want to open presents!" Sebastian said.
Sebastian got up from the mattress and tripped over Hunter, the Warbler Captain catching him.
"Careful there Seb, I'm sure a trip to A&E isn't on your agenda for the day." Hunter joked, smiling up at him.
Don't freak out
"Why is Sebastian straddling Hunter? This isn't some weird exhibition kink is it Blaine?" Sam asked, rubbing his eyes as he sat up.
"Bas was so excited to open presents that he tripped and fell, that's all," Blaine explained, Sebastian scrambling to get off Hunter who was blushing bright red.
"Presents! Let's open presents!" Sebastian said, rushing out of the room.
"Do you all like your present? Sorry that only Blaine's was wrapped, I didn't know he'd have company." Cooper said as they all looked at the custom-made t-shirt of him.
"How lucky of us that you had a whole box of them in your car," Sebastian commented, sharing a look with Hunter.
"This is so cool, dude! Can I have one for my girlfriend?" Sam asked excitedly.
"Anything for my adoring fans." Cooper smiled, hand over his heart.
"Hey, Seb, could you please help me in the kitchen?" Blaine asked, already pulling Sebastian up and out of the room before he could answer.
"No sex in the kitchen!" Cooper shouted after them.
"Everything alright B? I thought you and your brother got along now." Sebastian said, leaning against the counter.
"We do, and I'm grateful that he's here, but I still need another coffee before I can deal with his stories." Blaine hummed.
"And you brought me with you because?" Sebastian asked.
"I wanted to talk to you about Hunter," Blaine said, pouring both of them a coffee.
Please don't have a crush on him , please don't have a crush on him .
"What about him? I thought you were getting along, definitely a lot better than before." Sebastian said, adding milk and sugar to his coffee.
"We are but that's part of why I wanted to talk to you. Hunter was not a fan of me when I was dating you. He never outright said anything but any comment about us as a couple was always directed at me but now that we aren't dating, he's happy to spend the week celebrating Christmas with me." Blaine started, hopping up onto the counter.
Thank you life, I owe you one.
"You are overthinking this, my little elf. Hunter never had a problem with you. He just walked in on us, making out too many times. He's very grateful that you let him spend Christmas here, that's all." Sebastian smiled and kissed Blaine's nose.
"What about earlier? You got all flustered after tripping on him and he had his hands on your waist for way longer than necessary. I know we've not even been broken up for three weeks but I wouldn't be mad if you wanted to explore something with him." Blaine said.
Abort mission, abort mission!
"I wasn't flustered, I just really wanted to open some presents. Also, Hunter is straight." Sebastian shrugged.
Why did he feel the need to say that Hunter was straight? Even if he wasn't, he still didn't have feelings for him.
"Now, hop down from the counter. We still have more presents to open. You are going to love the one I got you."
"Did I miss anything?" Sebastian whispered to Hunter as he sat down next to him.
"Just another story about how he almost got cast in something," Hunter whispered back with a smile.
"Sam seems invested, he can keep the spotlight off us," Sebastian said and offered his coffee to Hunter and tried his best to ignore everything Blaine had said in the kitchen.
He didn't like Hunter.
December 31st
"This is an epic party, already better than last year," Thad said, mixing various spirits.
"I had Hunter help me with the setup. Last year, it was just me," Sebastian explained, opening another beer.
"The two of you work well together. It's nice to see." Thad hummed.
"I guess it's a good thing that we're on the same team then," Sebastian replied, glancing into the next room where Hunter was dancing with Marley.
They'd gotten close ever since they all went bowling, hopefully Hunter didn't have a crush.
Because Marley was with Jake. No other reason.
"How are things going with him?" Thad asked, snapping Sebastian out of his thoughts.
"What do you mean? You are making it sound like we are in a relationship. We're just roommates." Sebastian said defensively.
"Would that be so bad? You'd make a good couple." Thad shrugged, confused about where the defensiveness was coming from.
"Where is this coming from? You were the number one 'Seblaine' fan before, and now you want me to date Hunter?" Sebastian asked, taking a large swig from his beer.
Hunter is straight.
"You've been spending all of your time together lately, and sometimes you look at him the way you looked at Blaine last year," Thad explained casually.
"We're roommates, of course, we spend most of our time together. And so what if I check him out sometimes, he's hot. Doesn't mean that I want to date him or that I like him as more than a friend." Sebastian said, placing his beer down and making himself a stronger drink.
"First Blaine at Christmas and now you. Can a gay guy not be friends with someone hot without it turning into me liking the guy?"
"Blaine thinks you like Hunter?" Thad asked, grimacing at how strong his own drink was.
"Blaine thinks Hunter is nicer to him since the breakup and that I like him because of one tiny moment. Both of you are reading way too much into this. I don't have a crush on Hunter. And even if I did, which I don't, he's straight."
"Sorry for bringing it up. I see we're not at the acceptance stage yet." Thad shook his head.
Like Thad can talk, he's been skirting around his crush on Jon for two years now.
"I'm going to find Blaine. Have fun with your conspiracies."
"Sebastian! Thank you for inviting the McKinley lot. We appreciate it." Marley beamed.
"Of course, little Rose. Blaine and I may not be dating anymore, but you are stuck with me." Sebastian winked, twirling Marley around as she giggled.
"I know Jake is happy too. He enjoys the boy's game nights," Marley said.
"Where is Jake?"
"He's playing beer pong with Jon against Nick and Tina," Hunter said from behind Marley.
"Nick and Tina? Good luck, Jake and Jon." Sebastian laughed.
"Have either of you seen Blaine?"
"I think he's in the next room over, this place is massive." Marley hummed.
"My Dad may be a dick, but he has style," Sebastian said.
"Enjoy your dancing. I'm off to find my little elf." Sebastian winked.
"So, how do you feel about the Seblaine breakup?" Marley asked Hunter curiously, Hunter was weirdly quiet during the conversation with Sebastian.
"I don't have any thoughts on it. I'm glad I don't have to constantly see them making out though." Hunter shrugged.
"Because it made you jealous?" Marley asked.
"Because it was annoying, I'd get back from the gym and they'd be making out on Seb's bed with their work pushed to the floor. Blaine would flush bright red and act all innocent once he realises they aren't alone anymore like we haven't all heard them having sex before. Then the three of us would all be sitting in a tense silence because Blaine is embarrassed, Sebastian is frustrated and I'd be annoyed that I had to go through this again even though the solution to this would be just using Blaine's room," Hunter explained, rolling his eyes as had some of his beer.
"Okay, yeah, that doesn't sound ideal but maybe there is another reason why you felt so annoyed each time," Marley suggested.
"Marley, I know what you are trying to do, but I don't have feelings for Sebastian. I'm still as straight as I was last time we had this conversation." Hunter sighed, he needed another beer.
"Are you sure? Because I was talking to Blaine a few days ago at our monthly catch-up session, and he was showing me photos from Christmas , and you and Sebastian were next to each other in every single photo."
"We're friends. Standing next to each other doesn't automatically mean we are in love," Hunter said, he didn't have any feelings for Sebastian, he was just grateful that he didn't have to spend Christmas alone at Dalton, that's all.
"The way you smile at each other is what hints at it more." Marley teased.
"Marley, this is pointless. Sebastian still likes Blaine. It's only been a few weeks since they broke up, and they both admitted that they still liked each other when they told everyone. Chances are, they are going to get back together by the end of the school year."
"Blaine hasn't mentioned wanting to get back together with Sebastian in any of our conversations and we share everything. If you like Sebastian, then you need to stop pretending and act on it . I know it's scary but you have a whole group of friends that will accept and support you." Marley said softly, placing her hand on Hunter's arm.
"Thank you, Marley, I appreciate the support. I'm still not in love with Sebastian, though." Hunter said making Marley groan.
"There you are! I've been looking all over for you, B." Sebastian said, ending back up in the now empty kitchen.
"Bas! I was making the Thad special." Blaine said, pouring way too much vodka into his cup.
"And how many of these have you already had?" Sebastian asked.
"Only one, I promise. And two beers before that, maybe three?"
"How about you have a bottle of water first before you have this one?" Sebastian offered, opening the fridge and taking two bottles out .
"When did you become the responsible one?" Blaine joked, taking a big swig of water.
"Hungover Blaine is not fun for anyone." Sebastian teased, making sure Blaine drank at least half the bottle.
"Am I still alright to crash here after the party?" Blaine asked.
"Yeah, of course. I'm pretty sure all of the Warblers and some of the McKinley lot are crashing here. It's not like I don't have the space." Sebastian shrugged.
"Can I sleep in your room? Your bed is so big and comfy you won't even know I'm there."
"Considering you are the size of a garden gnome, and I have a king-sized bed, that's probably not an exaggeration." Sebastian joked.
"Were you looking for me for a reason?" Blaine asked once he'd finished the bottle of water.
"I've heard stories about the infamous drunk Blaine Anderson. I wanted to make sure you weren't stripping or kissing women." Sebastian joked.
"That was one time! How do you even know I kissed Rachel? It was during a game of Spin the Bottle!" Blaine pouted.
"The answer to that is always going to be Nick. He is the best person to go to for exclusive Blaine Anderson stories." Sebastian said.
"I need to start retaliating and telling people embarrassing stories about him." Blaine huffed.
"You can try, but Jeff will probably retaliate, and you'll be stuck in an endless loop," Sebastian said as Sam entered the kitchen.
"Blaine! Nick is setting up a dance dance revolution mat in the front room, do you want to be my partner?" Sam asked excitedly.
"I hid that in the back of a cupboard. How did he find it?" Sebastian groaned.
The last time that came out at a Warblers party, Nick almost broke his arm, and Jon sprained his ankle.
"Of course! No one can beat Blam at Dance Dance Revolution."
"Have fun, be safe." Sebastian mock-saluted them and left the kitchen with two drinks in hand and headed straight for the garden.
"What's a handsome guy like you doing all alone out here?" Sebastian asked, sitting down next to Hunter.
Why did I say that?
"Just getting some fresh air. It was getting a little crowded inside," Hunter said, smiling at Sebastian as he took the offered drink.
"If I'm being honest, I do not know half of the people that turned up." Sebastian laughed.
"Did you manage to find Blaine?" Hunter asked.
"Eventually, yeah, it was like a game of cat and mouse. He was in the kitchen making himself another Thad special, so I made sure he had a bottle of water first."
"It's nice how much you care about him," Hunter said, looking ahead.
"Is everything alright? You're acting weird." Sebastian said bluntly.
"I'm just thinking about something Marley said and going over the last few months in my head."
"Would you like to share those thoughts with the class or are you going to carry on being vague?" Sebastian asked, placing his drink down.
"Marley doesn't think I'm straight. She thinks I've repressed part of myself so deeply because of my upbringing that I didn't even realise I was doing it." Hunter said after a few minutes.
Hunter isn't straight??
"Oh. That was not where I thought this was going." Sebastian admitted.
"What do you think? Do you think you could be gay, bi or pan?" Sebastian asked softly, the snark gone from his tone.
"I have no idea. I've always thought of myself as the typical straight guy; I had to live up to my Dad's expectations."
"You don't have to work it out straight away, take your time and work out what label suits you best. Or if you don't want to label yourself then that works too." Sebastian said assuredly.
"Since when did you know how to comfort people?" Hunter joked.
"I have a younger brother." Sebastian shrugged.
"If you ever tell anyone that I'm secretly caring, then I will deny it," Sebastian said, making Hunter laugh.
"So, do you have a crush on anyone? Is it a Warbler?" Sebastian asked, pushing down the hopeful feeling in his chest.
He didn't like Hunter.
"I'm also not sure about that. Once again, Marley seems to think I do but I don't want to rush in and ruin a friendship for a maybe." Hunter said.
"Thad thinks I have a crush on someone, but he's probably just seeing what he wants because he gets way too invested in my love life," Sebastian said.
Maybe he should listen to Thad.
"I thought you still liked Blaine?" Hunter asked, turning to face Sebastian.
"Blaine and I broke up," Sebastian said, facing Hunter.
Did he like Hunter?
"It's almost Midnight," Hunter said quietly, leaning in slightly.
Oh.
Oh no.
He liked Hunter.
"Who's going to be your New Year's kiss?" Sebastian asked, glancing down at Hunter's lips.
"I haven't put much thought into it," Hunter replied, glancing at Sebastian's lips.
"I have an idea-" Sebastian started, reaching across to hold onto Hunter's head before the back door slammed open, and they both jumped apart.
Sebastian didn't know whether to scream or cheer.
"Seb! It's almost Midnight, and I have no one to kiss because Sam is dating Brittany." Blaine complained, utterly oblivious to what he'd interrupted.
"There is a whole house full of people in there B," Sebastian said, glancing at Hunter.
Worst possible timing Killer.
"Yeah, but I don't want to kiss a random guy." Blaine huffed.
"So you decided that your best bet after your best friend with a girlfriend is your ex-boyfriend?" Sebastian asked with a sigh.
"You are a great kisser. Why risk it with a stranger." Blaine shrugged.
"And it's not like you are kissing anyone either, Seb."
Sebastian gave Hunter an apologetic look and stood up to join Blaine.
He couldn't leave Blaine like this, drunk and pining were not a good mix.
"Let's go, little elf."
"Bye, Hunter, enjoy the fireworks!" Blaine smiled and pulled Sebastian into the house.
Notes:
Sorry for the cliffhanger, please forgive me
(and yes the skylar that is mentioned IS season six warbler captain skylar, he's sebastian's younger brother in my own smythe family lore)
Chapter 5: January
Chapter Text
January 1st
"Please be quieter." Nick groaned, head resting on the table.
"Nick, sweetie, no one was talking," Jeff said quietly, rubbing Nick's back.
"Where is Sebastian? I don't know how to use his fancy coffee machine." Jon asked, looking hopelessly at the machine.
"Probably the same place Blaine is." Sam snorted.
"Do we think they are getting back together?" Marley asked. She felt bad for pushing Hunter towards Sebastian , she didn't want him or Blaine to get hurt because she interfered .
"I honestly have no idea with them anymore," Thad said, looking through the cupboards for food.
"They were getting reacquainted last night, that's for sure." Jake laughed.
"You didn't have to have the room next to them." Thad shuddered and picked up a bread roll to eat.
"Okay, there isn't any food here clearly, because Thad is eating a plain bread roll. And Jon is still staring at the coffee maker like it's going to suddenly start working so I'll drive to the closest open store to buy some food and grab Coffee on the way back." Hunter said, standing up from the table quickly .
"I'll come with you. You'll need more than one pair of hands to carry everything." Marley offered, sensing that something was off with him.
"I'll come too. I need some fresh air," Jeff said, kissing Nick's head before standing up.
"Pick up some more tablets too, my head feels like it's going to cave in," Trent said from the sofa, under multiple blankets, David echoing the thought from the floor next to it.
"Where are you going?" Sebastian asked, walking into the room looking as hangover-free as possible, the complete opposite of Blaine next to him.
"Supply run. Won't be too long," Hunter said, avoiding eye contact with Sebastian.
Was Hunter ignoring him?
"Get everything you need for pancakes. I'll make some for everyone." Sebastian said to Marley with a smile.
"Will do! Someone form a list of coffee orders and send them to Jeff." Marley smiled and left with the two Warblers.
Sebastian sighed and looked around the room at the remaining Warblers.
"Go on then, say your pieces," Sebastian said.
"Are you and Blaine getting back together?"
"Did you have to be so loud?"
"You know that a midnight kiss is only meant to last a few seconds, right?"
"Did you forget you were broken up?"
"Don't check Facebook."
Sebastian tried his best to keep track of the questions, but the Warblers kept talking over each other.
"No, we aren't back together. Ear plugs exist for a reason, Thaddeus. If the kiss is good, then why end it? How would we forget we were broken up? Exes hook up sometimes! Sam, why shouldn't we check Facebook?" Sebastian asked as Blaine copied Nick's position at the table.
"Everyone posted photos and videos from the party, and there are a few where you are making out in the background," Sam said apologetically.
"That's alright, Sam, it's not a big deal," Blaine assured, he wasn't ashamed to be seen with Sebastian, exes or not.
"I'm going to assume Santana has already seen them?" Sebastian asked, placing a glass of orange juice in front of Blaine.
"She said, and I quote, 'I thought the twink and hobbit broke up' on one of them and then 'Never in my life did I need to see this' on the video Sam posted where you are also in the background," Jake said, reading from his phone.
"Like Santana can talk about hooking up with an ex." Sebastian rolled his eyes, the only thing Sebastian cared about currently was something he couldn't do anything about.
"Can we please change topics now?" Blaine groaned.
"Is everything alright Hunter?" Marley asked quietly, something had happened between Sebastian and Hunter last night judging by the lack of eye contact back at the house.
"Not really but there isn't much I can do about it," Hunter said and glanced briefly at Jeff.
"Anything you say in the car stays in the car," Jeff assured.
"You can't say anything to Nick."
"I promise your secrets are safe with me." Jeff nodded, happy to be trusted by their leader.
"Marley, you were right. I'm not as straight as I thought." Hunter said, hands tensing on the wheel.
"Oh, Hunter, I'm so proud of you! Thank you for telling me." Marley smiled brightly and squeezed Hunter's shoulder.
"That's awesome, man! Is there a particular guy you are crushing on?" Jeff asked enthusiastically.
"Unfortunately, there is." Hunter sighed.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Hunter.
"I've missed a page here," Jeff said, tilting his head slightly.
"I like Sebastian."
"Oh. I can see why you left the house so quickly now." Jeff nodded sympathetically.
"Did something happen for you to come to this realisation? Last time I saw you at the party you were still firmly denying all of this." Marley questioned.
"I was hiding in the garden and Seb came out to sit with me and he was asking why I was acting weird so I told him that I'm not straight. He was nice and caring about it all, and made me feel a lot more centered about it." Hunter started to explain.
"So what went wrong?" Jeff asked, he hadn't seen this one coming , did Thad know?
"He asked me if I had a crush on someone, and I panicked, so I just said that Marley thinks I do, and he said that Thad thinks he has a crush on some mystery person, too. He wouldn't say who."
"So then I brought up Blaine and asked if he still liked him, but he just replied saying they were broken up, which in retrospect wasn't him saying no."
"So far, so good. What else happened?" Marley asked.
"Sebastian asked who my New Year's kiss was going to be and he was blatantly staring at my lips whilst asking this, so I thought that maybe I was the person he had a crush on. So we both started leaning in for a kiss and then Blaine appeared." Hunter sighed.
"Talk about the worst possible timing," Jeff said , he loved Blaine but he could be oblivious at times.
"That sucks, I'm sorry," Jeff added.
"I know that it didn't end with a kiss because Blaine appeared but Sebastian was going to kiss you. That's good, right?" Marley said optimistically.
"Blaine appeared saying that Sam was kissing Brittany and he needed a midnight kiss and only Seb would do, and although he did try and brush Blaine off at first, clearly he still followed him in, and we all know how the night ended," Hunter said, his grip tightening on the wheel.
"Sebastian is very stubborn when it comes to admitting feelings. Last year, he refused to say he liked Blaine for months, even though everyone knew he did. He's probably just doing the same thing again but for you this time." Jeff assured, nothing could ever be simple with Sebastian involved.
"I could also have just been another notch on Sebastian Smythe's bedpost. He's never once shown any form of feelings towards me, and for the whole time I've known him, he's liked Blaine."
"Sebastian will kill me if he finds out I told you this, but he hasn't slept with as many people as he says he has. Sure, he's slept with multiple people, but nowhere near the rumoured number. Someone on the lacrosse team started the rumour when Seb joined last year because they were jealous of him becoming our star player , and Seb just let the rumour spread because he didn't want to get kicked off the team."
"So, you think I should tell him I like him?" Hunter asked. Maybe he judged Sebastian too quickly.
"Only if you feel comfortable in doing so." Marley nodded.
"But if you need to take some time first before doing so then that's also alright. I remember how nervous I was before Nick and I got together, it's always scary when you are already friends with the person." Jeff said, he hoped this didn't end badly, more than it already had.
"Thank you both for listening and the advice, I do appreciate it." Hunter grinned.
"That's what friends are for." Marley smiled.
January 3rd
"That was officially the most awkward first day back I've ever had. Can you please tell me now why you refuse to go to your room with Hunter and why he's looking at us with a mixture of hurt and anger?" Blaine asked as Sebastian flopped onto the spare bed in Blaine's room.
"It's nothing, Blaine, don't worry about it." Sebastian sighed.
"It's something Seb. If it were nothing, then you wouldn't be avoiding Hunter, and you'd be back in your room, not hiding out in mine."
"Okay, fine. It is something. Can we leave it at that?" Sebastian asked, sitting up and crossing his legs.
"You don't have to give me details if you don't want to but you got close over Christmas and everything seemed fine at your party but then come the next day, you can't even look at each other. You are upset about it and so is he."
Sebastian sighed and hugged a pillow to his body.
"You can't tell anyone about this. Not Sam, not Marley and especially not Tina."
"Whatever it is, you can trust me with it. It won't leave this room. I promise, Seb."
"Hunter and I almost kissed at the party," Sebastian said after a few minutes and hugged the pillow even tighter.
"Oh."
"Really killer? I tell you what's on my mind, and you reply with 'Oh?"
"I'm sorry! You were so adamant at Christmas that there was nothing romantic between you that I wasn't expecting this development quite so soon." Blaine apologised and sat next to Sebastian.
"So, you tried to kiss him and he rejected you?" Blaine asked.
"Why do you automatically assume that I was rejected?" Sebastian asked.
"Because you said you almost kissed and you've been pouting ever since. That screams rejection." Blaine defended himself.
"He didn't reject me! At that point, anyway."
"Are you going to tell me what happened then? Or am I going to have to keep guessing?" Blaine asked.
"I went to find him after I'd made sure you'd had water and he was looking sad and pensive. He said a few personal things that aren't my place to share, and then we both started leaning in for a kiss."
"I'm not seeing where the problem occurred," Blaine said confusedly.
"This all happened a few minutes before Midnight," Sebastian said, waiting for Blaine to piece it together.
"No!"
"Yes!"
"No, Sebastian. Please tell me I wasn't the reason for this." Blaine pleaded.
"Unfortunately, I can't say that B. We were mere fractions of a second away from kissing when you slammed the door open and begged me to go inside and kiss you." Sebastian said, amused at how distraught Blaine looked.
"Why didn't you say anything at the time?!" Blaine asked, reaching for his cushion to hold.
"I tried! You were very determined to be my Midnight kiss." Sebastian laughed.
"But I'm the one that was trying to get you together at Christmas!"
"I'm the worst person ever." Blaine groaned.
"That award probably goes to me. I could've stayed with Hunter or even gone back in with you, kissed you at Midnight and gone back out to him. But I panicked and stayed attached to you for the rest of the night." Sebastian sighed , he'd never regret being with Blaine but he did regret how he treated Hunter.
"Why did you panic? From what you've said, Hunter wanted to kiss you too."
"In that moment, sure. But I didn't want to risk our friendship on a kiss he didn't mean. He probably just got swept up in the conversation and thought he wanted to kiss me." Sebastian explained.
"And you decided that in the two seconds between me appearing and you coming with me?" Blaine asked, shaking his head.
"Well, I was right because he's been avoiding me ever since." Sebastian huffed, he'd let himself get swept up in the matchmaking attempts of Blaine and Thad and to the surprise of no one, it ended terribly.
"Bas, you know I love you, but you can be so stupid sometimes."
"Why am I stupid?" Sebastian asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Did you ever think that maybe Hunter avoided you in the morning because he thinks that you are the one who got swept up and didn't want to kiss him?"
"...That didn't cross my mind, no," Sebastian admitted sheepishly.
"You almost kissed, and ever since then, you've not left your ex-boyfriend's side and have been sleeping on the spare bed in my room. Surely you see how bad that looks from his perspective?" Blaine asked.
"We haven't done anything since New Year, though! I would've stayed with Thad, but he doesn't have a spare bed." Sebastian groaned and flopped back onto the bed.
"It's impressive how much of a mess you've made out of this," Blaine commented.
"I'm so glad my failures are entertaining you, killer."
Maybe he was getting some delayed karma from last year.
"Stop being so dramatic, Bastian. All you need to do is go back to your room and explain to Hunter that you and I aren't back together like he probably assumes we are and that you like him."
"I wish it was that simple B," Sebastian said, voice muffled by the cushion.
"It is that simple. Stop being dramatic and go and talk to Hunter."
"Nope, sorry. I can't do it. What if he does reject me? I'm happier stuck in the unknown." Sebastian said.
"I hate you sometimes." Blaine sighed.
"It's not like you are rushing to tell Sam about your crush," Sebastian grumbled.
"What? I, no, what crush?" Blaine said, stumbling over his words.
"The crush you've quite clearly had on him for a while but not noticed until around Christmas," Sebastian said, raising an eyebrow at Blaine, challenging him to deny it.
"It's just a little tiny crush, a rebound crush you could say," Blaine sighed again and laid down next to Sebastian.
"I know we didn't have a bad breakup but Sam kept checking in with me and was sweet about it all and also, he's hot, give me a break!"
Sebastian laughed and moved closer to Blaine.
"Want to have 'our crushes don't like us back' rebound sex?" Sebastian suggested with a smirk.
Blaine sighed and pulled Sebastian on top of him.
"Fine but be quiet about it, I don't want the warblers finding out," Blaine said, leaning up for a kiss.
"And this doesn't mean anything!"
"Oh how the tables have turned Killer," Sebastian laughed and leaned down for a kiss.
January 17th
"I didn't know it was possible to ache this much." Nick groaned from the floor.
"Even my hair hurts," Jeff said from under the table.
"Hunter and Sebastian need to make up, I don't know how much longer I can take these dance rehearsals," Thad said, lying face down on the sofa.
"Does anyone even know why they are ignoring each other?" Trent asked.
"It has to be something big because Sebastian has been staying in Blaine's room all month," Jon said.
"Are we certain Seblaine aren't back together?" Nick asked.
"They've both said multiple times that they aren't, and New Year's was just a one-off," Thad said, Sebastian would've told him if they were, right?
"Did anyone see anything happen at the party?" David asked.
"Last time I saw Hunter was when he was with Marley and Jake." Thad shrugged.
"I saw Hunter go out into the garden near midnight," Jon added.
"I was too busy beating everyone at Dance Dance Revolution to notice anything." Nick shrugged.
"I still don't know how you managed to find that. Seb hid it at the very back of the cupboard after the incident." Jeff laughed.
"Should we come up with a plan to get them talking again?" Jon asked.
"Like what? Locking them in a room together?"
"That might result in murder." David shook his head.
"I guess that also rules out handcuffs," Nick murmured.
"Why were handcuffs the first place your mind went to?" Trent asked concernedly.
"I'm not hearing any suggestions from you. Feel free to share one, Trent."
"We could take Mr Puss from their room and have them look for him together? Sebastian adores the little devil cat." Trent suggested.
"So handcuffs were too far, but kidnapping is fine?!"
"I don't think I want to know what I've walked into," Hunter said concernedly.
"Hunter! We were talking about a movie plot, that's all." Trent rushed out.
"I'll pretend to believe you.
"Is everything alright? Did you forget something after practice?" Thad asked.
"Everything's fine. I just came to see if Jeff wanted to get some coffee." Hunter said, tilting his head as he looked under the table.
"Why is Jeff under the table?"
"It was calling to me," Jeff said and slid out from his spot.
"Is Marley coming?"
"No, but she said to phone her so she can still join in," Hunter said.
"Cool, let's go!" Jeff smiled and followed Hunter out of the room.
"That was weird."
"If you made me bet on who Hunter would befriend at the beginning of the year, then Jeff would've been at the bottom of the list with Trent," Jon said.
"Thanks for that, Jon." Trent rolled his eyes.
"I guess they bonded on the New Year's Day coffee run." Thad shrugged.
"I think Jeff knows more about the Huntbastian divorce than he makes out. He never tells me any of the gossip from his coffee sessions with Hunter and Marley." Nick huffed, he wanted to know the gossip!
"So, was that a definite no on the kidnapping?" Trent asked after a moment of silence.
January 26th
Sebastian unlocked the door to his and Hunter's dorm and took a deep breath in when he saw it wasn't empty.
This only had to be awkward if he made it awkward .
"Hey, little Rose, I didn't know you were here," Sebastian said, forcing a smile onto his face.
"I haven't been here that long. Sam dropped me off."
"I'm just here for my lacrosse stick and uniform. The team are having an impromptu game before practice starts in a few weeks." Sebastian explained, opening the doors to his wardrobe.
"Don't forget your helmet," Marley said once Sebastian had gathered up his uniform.
"Don't worry, I will never forget my helmet. Can't have anything happening to my pretty face." Sebastian winked, making Marley giggle as he left the room.
"First time he's been in this room all month and he didn't even acknowledge me," Hunter said eyes stuck on the door.
"It's not like you rushed to speak to him either, Hunt." Marley pointed out.
"He's the one that started this whole cat and mouse game!" Hunter huffed, he knew he was being stubborn but he wasn't going to be the one to give in.
"Well, technically, that was you when you practically ran out of his house to get coffee," Marley said.
"Who's side are you on with this?" Hunter asked.
"I'm not on anyone's side. This whole thing is stupid and could've been resolved easily on day one, but you are both stubborn and refuse to be the first one to talk."
"Last time I spoke to him, I told him my biggest secret, and he left me to hook up with the garden gnome," Hunter stated blankly.
"First of all, that's not exactly how it happened. Second, Blaine is still my best friend, so please keep the insults to a minimum."
"Okay, maybe I'm taking it all to heart too much, but I was so close to kissing Sebastian! And then he ran straight back to Blaine and he's still there. They said they aren't back together, but I don't believe them."
"We've been having this exact conversation all month, and the outcome is always the same, so instead of repeating myself, I'm going to put on a Julie Andrews movie, and you are going to enjoy it," Marley said and grabbed Hunter's laptop from the desk.
Hunter looked up hopefully when the door slammed open and glared at Nick.
"Any particular reason why you are slamming into my room, Duval? Your boyfriend isn't here."
"I know he isn't because he's with the other guys pacing the hallway outside of the Nurse's office." Nick rushed out.
"A little more context, please, Duval. Who's hurt?" Hunter asked, standing up from the bed.
"Is it Sebastian?" Marley asked quietly, making Hunter tense up.
"It was just a friendly game we were playing, but Seb kept zoning out, which isn't like him at all. Simonns made a play for the ball, but Seb wasn't paying attention, and they crashed into each other."
"Nick, this isn't the time for dramatic pauses! Is Sebastian alright?" Hunter asked, quickly putting on some shoes.
"He landed awkwardly on his arm, we don't know if it's broken or not yet," Nick said, Hunter leaving the room before he'd even finished the sentence.
"Where is he?" Hunter asked the group of Warblers once he made it to the other side of the school.
"He's just getting his arm set ready to go to the hospital," Thad explained, looking as worried as everyone else.
"Wait, Hunter, we have to stay-" Jeff started as Hunter entered the examination room.
"Hunter?" Sebastian asked, face pinched in pain.
"Yeah, it's me. Nick came and told me what happened, I rushed straight over." Hunter said, hovering near the door as Blaine was at Sebastian's side, holding his good hand.
"I'm afraid only one of you gentlemen can stay and accompany Mr Smythe to the hospital."
"Hunter can stay." Blaine smiled and kissed Sebastian's forehead before letting go of his hand.
"Good luck with the grip he'll have on your hand." Blaine joked to Hunter.
"Have you had any pain medication yet?" Hunter asked, rushing to Sebastian's side.
"I have to wait until we get to the hospital for the good stuff. Blaine was letting me squeeze his hand to get through the worst of it." Sebastian explained.
"Yeah, of course. Squeeze away." Hunter said, holding out his hand for Sebastian.
"The splint is set, please do not move your arm, Mr Smythe. I'm going to get an update on how long the ambulance will be."
"I'm sorry for ignoring you all month. It was stupid and childish of me." Sebastian apologised once they were alone.
"We don't have to do this right now. It's alright," Hunter reassured, resisting the urge to brush the hair from his face.
"I want to. I know we weren't that close until Christmas, but I've missed talking to you the last few weeks." Sebastian admitted, he felt stupid for dragging it out this long.
"Why did you practically move out of our room then?" Hunter questioned.
"Because I didn't know how to talk to you about what happened, and the longer I left it, the harder it got," Sebastian said.
"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable by leaning in for a kiss," Hunter said, avoiding eye contact.
"You didn't make me feel uncomfortable. You were feeling a lot of things, and I was ther e. You don't have to worry about me thinking you have feelings for me." Sebastian assured, not noticing the disappointment on Hunter's face.
"Yeah, exactly. I just got caught up in the moment and leaned in for a kiss because it was almost Midnight." Hunter nodded.
As much as he saw it coming, hearing Hunter say that hurt more than his arm currently did.
"This still doesn't explain why you've been avoiding me. Or were you staying with Blaine because you are together again?" Hunter asked.
"Blaine and I are not together. He is just the only Warbler that doesn't have a roommate." Sebastian said.
"I guess I felt guilty for how I acted on New Year's. You needed a friend, and I left you alone so that I could hook up with Blaine; it was a dick move."
"It was a bit of a dick move." Hunter laughed, relieved that the couple weren't back together.
"But so was me ignoring you the next day instead of talking it through with you," Hunter said.
"Does this mean I can return to our room now? I miss Mr Puss."
"Mr Puss misses you too. He's been sleeping on your bed." Hunter smiled.
"Was it just Mr Puss that missed me?" Sebastian smirked, slipping straight back into his default setting.
Chapter Text
February 1st
Dalton was a nightmare.
The whole school was decorated to celebrate Valentine's Day which meant all of the couples were now being even worse than usual.
And Sebastian was stuck with a broken arm and no boyfriend.
"It's February first, why are all of these decorations up," Sebastian said, batting a heart balloon out of his way.
"You are just bitter because you are single," Nick said, walking hand in hand with Jeff.
"I'm not bitter. I would like to make my way to class without all of the glaringly heterosexual decorations on every wall." Sebastian rolled his eyes.
"Is there anyone you like, Bastian? Or are you still stuck on Blaine." Thad asked from Sebastian's other side.
"Why does everyone think I'm obsessed with Blaine? We're just friends!" Sebastian exclaimed.
"You were obsessed with him for a whole year."
"You slept together a month ago."
"You followed him around like a puppy when he transferred."
"That was a rhetorical question you didn't all need to answer."
"So, does this mean you like someone that isn't Blaine?" Jeff asked hopefully.
"Why are you all so invested in my love life? If I did like someone, then I wouldn't be telling any of you. You'd spread it around the rest of the warblers before I could finish my sentence." Sebastian pointed out.
"You are protesting way too much. You like someone we know." Nick nodded.
"Hey, Blaine! Sebastian likes someone. You are finally free." Jeff joked as Blaine joined them.
"The day has finally arrived, I'm free!" Blaine cheered, winking at Sebastian.
"I don't like any of you." Sebastian deadpanned.
"Maybe it's Sam that you like." Blaine joked, trying to steer everyone away from the real answer.
"Sam is very cute." Sebastian nodded in agreement, grateful for Blaine's help.
"Doesn't Sam have a girlfriend?" Jeff asked.
"Why are you talking about Sam and Brittany?" Hunter asked, approaching the group.
"It doesn't matter. Why do you look stressed?" Sebastian asked.
"You forgot these on the desk," Hunter said, holding up Sebastian's painkillers for his arm.
"My hero, what would I do without you?" Sebastian smiled, not noticing the look Nick and Thad were sharing.
"Break your other arm?" Hunter teased.
February 14th
"Please remind me again why your former teacher has invited the whole glee club, past and present, to his wedding. Does he not have any adult friends?" Sebastian asked as they got out of the car.
"I'm sure there has to be at least one adult friend in there." Blaine joked.
"Last chance to change your mind about bringing me as your plus one," Sebastian said, noticing some of the graduated new directions gathering in front of the Church.
"I don't care what anyone has to say. You are my friend, and I wanted to bring you." Blaine nodded.
"Not even Kurt?" Sebastian asked.
"It would be nice to have a civil talk with Kurt, but with or without you here, the topic of us dating, however brief, would still come up. I'd rather have my best friend here to comfort me afterwards if it goes badly."
"And by that, you mean someone to get drunk with?" Sebastian asked amusedly.
"Ideally, yes." Blaine laughed.
"Let's go and find Sam before we have to head inside," Blaine said, linking his arm with Sebastian's uninjured one.
"Did you know that Hunter is Marley's plus one?" Sebastian asked as they walked.
"I didn't, but it's nice to see how close they've become. Marley is amazing."
"She's the little sister I never had." Sebastian hummed.
"And Hunter is the boyfriend you wish you had." Blaine joked, laughing when Sebastian nudged him.
"Incoming, be nice," Blaine warned as Santana approached them.
"Well if it isn't everyone's least favourite Warbler couple, twinky and the Brain." Santana greeted.
"Hi Santana, lovely to see you again." Blaine smiled politely.
"Not a couple but it's nice to know that we still occupy some space in your head," Sebastian smirked.
"I'm unfortunately still haunted by that video Trouty posted where the two of you are trying to eat each other." Santana shuddered.
"Are you upset because you can't hook up with your ex at this event? Maybe next time, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you." Sebastian smiled brightly.
"Listen here, twink, the only reason why I'm not going all Lima Heights on your ass is because you are already injured and because Brittany seems to be fond of you now. But if you do anything at this Wedding to upset Kurt or Brittany then you better start running."
"I'm here as Blaine's guest and out of respect for him, I won't be intentionally causing any drama. But if anyone is rude to Blaine, all bets are off." Sebastian said, not breaking eye contact with Santana.
"Are the two of you done now? Can we head inside?" Blaine sighed, bored of the theatrics.
"I take back everything I said about this Wedding. That was amazing. It felt like I was in the middle of an unhinged TV show." Sebastian commented as they entered the reception hall.
"I don't know what else I expected from a McKinley wedding." Blaine laughed and pulled Sebastian straight over to the bar.
"Two Margaritas for me and my boyfriend, please. My poor brother got jilted at the altar," Sebastian said, shaking his head as Blaine comforted him.
"Of course, sir, I'm sorry about your brother."
"It's an unfortunate day truly, jilted on Valentine's Day." Sebastian sighed.
"We'll help him get through it, won't we, honey?" Blaine nodded solemnly.
"That's what families are for." Sebastian nodded and picked up his drink.
"Thank you, kind sir." Blaine smiled and left the bar with Sebastian.
"That was a masterclass in acting right there. Watch out Broadway, Blaine Anderson is coming for you." Sebastian praised and headed straight to the table with their friends.
"How did you manage to get alcohol?!" Sam asked.
"And why didn't you get us any?" Hunter asked.
"We put on a beautiful performance with an awkward sob story that made him forget to ask for ID," Sebastian smirked.
"I think the broken arm pulled it all together." Blaine nodded, sitting in between Marley and Sebastian.
"How's that going, Sebastian? Does it still hurt?" Marley asked softly.
"It's a dull ache most of the time, much more bearable than the day it happened, that's for sure," Sebastian explained.
"Hunter makes sure I have my pain meds each day and researched the easiest ways to sleep without hurting my arm," Sebastian said gratefully, smiling at his friend.
"I'd have to listen to you complaining if you rolled onto it in the night. I was doing it purely for my benefit." Hunter winked.
"No one needs to deal with a grouchy Sebastian. That's next-level torture." Blaine nodded in agreement.
"I'm reconsidering your positions as my best friends, maybe only Thad deserves that title." Sebastian huffed, crossing his arms across his chest.
"The same Thad that torments you daily along with all the other Warblers?" Blaine asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I guess the spot is fully open then. Sam, the position is yours if you want it." Sebastian joked.
"Sorry, man, but nothing can get between Blam!"
"Blam!" Blaine echoed and high-fived his best friend.
"Traitors, the lot of you." Sebastian shook his head, missing the fond look Hunter was giving him.
"Just so you know, Hummell is burning a hole into the back of your head." Sebastian hummed as they danced.
"Are you sure it's not directed at you?" Blaine teased.
"We're about to find out because he's coming over," Sebastian said, dipping Blaine just before Kurt got to them.
"Seb, warn me next time!" Blaine laughed and turned around to face Kurt.
"Hey Kurt, I was hoping we'd talk." Blaine smiled.
"I wasn't sure if we should, but Rachel talked me into it," Kurt admitted.
"Hummel."
"Smythe."
"I thought the two of you had broken up?" Kurt said, keeping his expression neutral.
"We did, a while ago now." Blaine clarified.
"You seem awfully close for exes."
"We were friends before we dated, and we are still friends now." Sebastian shrugged, he didn't have to explain himself to Kurt of all people.
"Is it possible to talk to you by yourself, Blaine?" Kurt asked.
Sebastian looked at Blaine and raised an eyebrow, checking to see if he was comfortable enough to be left alone.
"Go find Marley. I'm sure she'd love a dance with you," Blaine said and squeezed Sebastian's hand before he walked away.
"Hey, little Rose, mind if I cut in?" Sebastian asked, interrupting Marley's dance with Jake.
"I have something to talk to you about! Is that alright?" Marley asked Jake.
"Of course, I'll go and talk to the boys." Jake smiled and kissed Marley's cheek before leaving.
"What is this mystery topic you want to talk about?" Sebastian asked curiously.
"I probably shouldn't be talking to you about it because I don't want to step on any toes, but I just need to know if I'm right." Marley rambled as they swayed.
"Marley, deep breaths. You can tell me whatever it is . I won't get mad." Sebastian assured.
"Do you like Hunter? And not just in the friend way, you know exactly what I mean."
"Are you asking for you, or are you asking for your close friend Hunter?" Sebastian asked carefully, not wanting to get his hopes up .
Surely Hunter would've said something by now if he liked him?
"I'm asking for me. Hunter would not be happy if he knew I was doing this, and he hasn't hinted at wanting me to do this. I see the way you look at him sometimes and from the stories Blaine tells me about Warbler practices, you make a great team." Marley explained.
"The first time I noticed something was back during our first game of bowling, though. The way you showed Hunter how to bowl and your hug afterwards made it feel like we were all intruding on a personal moment."
"It seems like you've been holding onto these thoughts for a while," Sebastian said, stalling his answer as long as he could.
"You don't have to say anything to me, Sebastian. Say it all to Hunter, and I promise you won't regret it."
"Matchmaker Marley Rose." Sebastian grinned and twirled Marley around, making her giggle.
"I'm rooting for you." Marley smiled and tiptoed to kiss Sebastian's cheek.
Sebastian downed the rest of his drink and took a deep breath in and out before pushing away from the bar and towards Hunter.
"Hey Seb, enjoying the party?" Hunter asked, turning away from the conversation between Mike and Sam.
"Would you like to dance?" Sebastian asked, ignoring Hunter's question.
"I'd love to dance," Hunter said, looking surprised but happy.
"I lied to you when we spoke two weeks ago," Sebastian said, diving right into it before he changed his mind.
"Oh? What about?" Hunter asked, placing a hand around his waist as they danced.
"Well, I guess lied isn't the right word. It's more that I left out a few details when I was explaining it. I did want to kiss you that night. The only reason I didn't is because I panicked and thought that maybe you didn't want to kiss me and it was just you getting caught up in the moment." Sebastian said, letting out a relieved breath from finally admitting it.
"You avoided me for a month because you thought that I was going to reject you?" Hunter asked, trying his best not to laugh.
"Don't laugh at me! I didn't want to ruin our friendship. I was trying to be chivalrous!" Sebastian defended himself, relaxing into Hunter's hold now that he'd said his piece.
"Just in case you need me to spell it out for you. I did want to kiss you and I ignored you in the morning because I was jealous of Blaine. When you didn't return to our room at any point, I assumed that you were back together. Jeff and Marley had to listen to me complain about it almost daily." Hunter laughed.
"Jeff knows? He's been trying to find out if I liked anyone all month. At least I know why now." Sebastian laughed.
"I assume Marley also said something to you during your dance earlier?" Hunter asked.
"She did, but she didn't say anything about how you feel or anything confidential that you shared with her. Marley was letting me know that she thinks I like you and have done since we went bowling." Sebastian explained he needed to buy her a gift to thank her for the talk.
"The night we went bowling she pulled me aside and asked if I liked you and if I was going to try and break you and Blaine up," Hunter admitted.
"And what did you say to that?"
"I said that I was straight and didn't have any feelings for you," Hunter laughed and held Sebastian closer.
"And what would your answer be now?" Sebastian asked, staring into Hunter's eyes.
"To put things simply. I like you, and you like me, we just suck at communicating," Hunter said, he couldn't believe it was so simple after waiting this long.
"Yeah, that sounds about right to me." Sebastian nodded, smiling at the confirmation.
"There is one small problem, though," Sebastian added, leaning in closer.
"And what might that be?" Hunter asked, leaning in himself.
"I refuse to have our first kiss be at this sorry excuse for a party in front of multiple people I do not care about. And more importantly, our anniversary cannot be Valentine's Day."
Hunter rolled his eyes.
"Technically, it would be our second kiss. You didn't forget about the mistletoe, did you?"
"The one that you claimed to be straight during but slipped me the tongue almost straight away in?" Sebastian asked with a teasing smirk.
"I wasn't caught up with my subconscious yet. Sue me." Hunter laughed.
"You are the one that claimed Blaine was better than me."
"Well, he was my boyfriend at the time! I couldn't exactly say that it was an amazing kiss." Sebastian defended himself, he even lied to himself about it.
"I guess not. We can settle the debate once and for all tomorrow. I'm fairly confident in the results." Hunter smirked and dipped Sebastian who let out a surprised laugh.
"Since when was that a thing?" Sam asked, nodding over at Hunter and Sebastian.
"It's been brewing since they met but officially since around Christmas time," Marley said, smiling at the dancing duo.
"But Sebastian slept with Blaine?" Sam asked, turning back to Marley.
"Boys make stupid decisions sometimes," Marley shrugged and looked Sam up and down.
"Anyone you are crushing on?"
"Um Marley, that's very kind of you but I'm with Brittany and Jake is my bro, I wouldn't do that to him."
Marley sighed and shook her head.
"I don't mean for me, I'm very happy with Jake. I just wanted to see if you had a crush on anyone, I'm a pretty great matchmaker."
"I'm happy with Brit, I do miss Mercedes but she's moved on so I'm moving on too," Sam shrugged.
Sorry, Blaine, I tried my best.
February 15th

you say the sweetest things -H
Sebastian laughed and rushed off a quick reply as he heard the door opening.
"Blaine, finally! Where have you been?" Sebastian asked, sitting up on the bed.
"Sebastian! Why are you in my room?" Blaine asked, looking like a deer in headlights.
"I was going to ask you for help on something, but we can shelve that for now because you didn't come back from the party last night, and you look guilty," Sebastian smirked and walked up to Blaine , tilting his friend's neck to the side.
"Is that a hickey?"
"I may or may not have slept with someone," Blaine admitted, batting at Sebastian's hands.
"From your reactions, it's someone you shouldn't have slept with. I'm so proud." Sebastian grinned.
"Was it Sam? Did you finally give in to the crush you have on him?" Sebastian asked, he wouldn't judge Blaine for that , Sam was hot.
"What? No! I didn't sleep with Sam!" Blaine blushed and shrugged out of his suit jacket.
"It wasn't Sam, and it will never be Sam. He's my best friend."
"The only Warblers there were Hunter and me, and the number of gay people at that Wedding was very limited unless you slept with-" Sebastian paused and turned to face Blaine, who had paused in getting changed.
"Blaine."
"I might've, maybe, slept with Kurt after we got drunk and sang a duet together." Blaine rushed out.
"Blaine, it's important to me that you know what the ex part in ex-boyfriend means. Because from recent events, you do not seem to know what it means."
"I didn't mean for it to happen! When you left us to talk, Kurt explicitly said that he didn't see a future for us if you were around."
"Should I be concerned that after he said that, you slept with him?" Sebastian asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Obviously not Seb. I told him that you and I are close friends and that I refuse to let a partner tell me who I can or can't talk to." Blaine assured and sat cross-legged on the bed now he was in comfier clothes.
"I'm sure he loved that." Sebastian laughed and mirrored Blaine's position opposite him.
"He wasn't happy with it, but it's the truth." Blaine shrugged.
"So, how did you get from that point to being drunk and singing together?"
"After you left with Hunter, which I want all the details about, by the way. Santana brought multiple rounds of shots to the table for everyone before disappearing with Quinn."
"This is why on New Year's, I kept an eye out for drunk you. You do not make the best decisions whilst drunk, especially not if karaoke is also an option."
"Enough about me. Tell me about you and Hunter. Don't think I didn't see you dancing together." Blaine grinned.
"It was hard to miss us dancing for as long as we did, Killer."
"Stop stalling! What did you talk about? You both kept leaning in, but you didn't kiss!" Blaine groaned.
"We talked about a lot of things. At one point, we discussed plans for the next Warbler rehearsal. Also, about who is the better character between Steve and Bucky."
"Sebastian."
Sebastian laughed and adjusted his glasses with a smile.
"I told Hunter that I liked him and everything I've mentioned to you and he said that he also likes me. I sound like you right now, this is terrible."
"That's great Seb! Now if you listened to me in January, you could've had this earlier but I'm glad you finally got there." Blaine smiled, squeezing Sebastian's hand.
"Marley thinks we've liked each other since the beginning, but I'm not sure. I didn't start to actively think about it until I was in my garden, leaning in for a kiss but that could've just been because I was denying it to myself."
"I think that Hunter liked you from the beginning. He was jealous that I was dating you, whether he realised it or not."
"The first thing Hunter said to me was that he wasn't even remotely bi-curious and that I shouldn't flirt with him because it wouldn't work," Sebastian recalled with a laugh.
"I see that worked out well for him." Blaine laughed.
"And I didn't even have to flirt to have it happen. What can I say? I'm just that good." Sebastian smirked.
"He didn't have to flirt with you either." Blaine pointed out.
"Good point."
"Anyway, the main reason I came here was so you could help me plan out the perfect first date for tonight."
"If only the Sebastian from last year could see you now." Blaine teased.
"I can always go to Thad for help if you want," Sebastian suggested, starting to move from the bed.
"No! I'll be nice, promise." Blaine assured, pulling Sebastian back down.
"I also need you to tell me all my strengths and weaknesses as a boyfriend."
"Seb, we dated for, like, two months."
"Exactly, that's two months worth of data to go on. I don't want to fall at the first hurdle." Sebastian said.
"Weaknesses? I had to crane my neck every time I wanted a kiss, even on tiptoes! I had a permanent crick in my neck!"
"And I had to keep leaning down because you are the same size as your average garden gnome! I won't have this problem with Hunt. We're the same height."
"I know. I just wanted to make sure you knew that I think you are too tall." Blaine laughed.
Sebastian checked his hair in the mirror again and looked up as the bathroom door opened.
"Looking good, Hunt, heading anywhere nice?" Sebastian asked with a smirk.
"I'm going on a date with some guy. Not sure if it'll be fun or not." Hunter joked, looking Sebastian up and down.
"What a coincidence, I'm also going on a date tonight."
"What do you have planned?" Hunter asked, walking up to Sebastian.
"Nice try. You aren't getting the answer out of me that easily," Sebastian smirked and pulled Hunter closer.
"It's not going to be Scandals, is it?" Hunter joked, glancing down at Sebastian's lips.
"Just for that, you can wait for a kiss," Sebastian said and pulled back from Hunter.
"Come on, Seb, I was just joking!" Hunter pouted and followed Sebastian out of their room.
"You have to earn the kiss, Clarington." Sebastian laughed and held out his hand for Hunter to hold.
"So, what are we telling the Warblers?" Hunter asked, holding onto Sebastian's hand as they walked the halls.
"What would you like to tell them? You are the one coming out as bi. I want you to be comfortable." Sebastian assured.
"I'm happy with them knowing that I'm bi, I know they'll support me." Hunter smiled, the Warblers were like a family.
"So, it's our relationship that you are more worried about telling them about?" Sebastian asked carefully.
"Not for the reasons you are probably thinking." Hunter quickly reassured him as they left Dalton.
"The Warblers worshipped your relationship with Blaine, before, during and after it. What if they don't approve of ours in the same way?" Hunter asked, stopping in front of Sebastian's car.
"Jeff and Blaine already approve and I know Thad will too. Knowing them, there is probably a bet running about us." Sebastian laughed and brought their joined hands up to his mouth and kissed them.
"And if anyone does have a problem with it, then they can leave the warblers. We're a family. We support each other." Sebastian said.
"Could we maybe hold off on telling them? Just for a few weeks while we settle into this." Hunter asked.
"If they do all accept us then it'll be chaos and we won't have a moment to ourselves without them obsessing over it and making even more nicknames for us," Hunter said.
"I'd like that, some time to ourselves. Plus, sneaking around is hot." Sebastian winked and unlocked his car.
"You'll have to drive. I still only have one hand, which is entirely your fault," Sebastian said and passed him the keys.
"How is it my fault? You got injured playing lacrosse!" Hunter exclaimed, getting into the driver's seat.
"I was distracted because I saw you when I was getting my helmet and you were all close with Marley and ignored me the whole time I was in the room!" Sebastian replied, getting into the other side of the car.
"You ignored me, too!" Hunter laughed. They were stupid about the whole situation.
"Also, Marley is with Jake, you know that!"
"You knew Blaine and I weren't together, but you were still jealous!" Sebastian defended himself.
"Because you slept with him and stayed in his room all month!"
"That's true. That was a bad move on my behalf."
"We got there in the end."
Hunter stared at the bowling lane with a raised eyebrow and turned around to Sebastian, who was struggling to tie up his bowling shoes with one hand.
"Bowling. You chose bowling with a broken arm?" Hunter asked, kneeling to tie Sebastian's laces for him.
"I was trying to be romantic. Marley said this is where she first saw a spark between us," Sebastian explained with a small shrug.
"It's a nice idea. I appreciate the thought you put into it." Hunter smiled softly.
"I just don't want you to hurt yourself further."
"I guess you'll just have to be the one standing behind me, guiding the ball this time instead," Sebastian smirked.
"You really thought this through, didn't you?" Hunter laughed and helped Sebastian up.
"I may or may not have work shopped multiple date ideas with Blaine before landing on this one," Sebastian said, not letting go of Hunter's hand.
"I should probably get used to you telling your ex everything about our relationship, right?"
"You make it sound way worse than it is. Blaine was my friend before he was my ex. It makes more sense to refer to him as my friend."
"Your friend that you don't have feelings for anymore, right?" Hunter checked, stroking his thumb across Sebastian's hand.
"There will always be a fond feeling there as Blaine was my first proper relationship but I can assure you that I do not have feelings for him anymore and that I am fully focused and committed to you and where this whole thing between us goes," Sebastian assured and kissed Hunter's cheek.
Hunter smiled and kissed Sebastian's nose before letting go of his hand.
"I'm fully committed to seeing where this is going too."
"Great, now we've got the mushy stuff out of the way. It's my turn to bowl. Would you like to help me?" Sebastian asked with a grin.
"This means that I win the game either way, right?" Hunter smirked and picked up a bowling ball for Sebastian.
"Congratulations, you won over a guy with a broken arm." Sebastian teased and stopped in front of the lane and leaned back into Hunter.
"A win is a win." Hunter laughed and placed his hands on Sebastian's waist, and rested his chin on his shoulder.
"And I'm definitely winning right now," Hunter said quietly next to his ear.
"Six pins down, not bad." Sebastian hummed after his go and turned around to face Hunter and kissed him softly.
"You get a proper one when you score a strike," Sebastian murmured and kissed Hunter once more before letting go of him.
Hunter smirked and picked up a bowling bowl and bowled a perfect strike.
"Marley loves bowling and has dragged Jeff and I here at least four times since the last time we played."
"Now, how about that kiss?" Hunter smirked and pulled Sebastian closer by his belt loops.
February 20th
"Thad, why do you look like you've witnessed unknown horrors?" Nick asked, dropping down onto the sofa next to Jeff.
"Because I have." Thad shuddered.
"Maybe if you didn't let yourself into a room when the door is locked." Sebastian rolled his eyes.
He had been planning to tell Thad in a much less chaotic and embarrassing way, that's for sure.
"How was I meant to know you were having sex?!" Thad exclaimed.
"The locked door??" Sebastian replied with a sigh, still feeling grouchy from being interrupted.
"You walked in on Seb having sex?" Jeff asked, trying to hold back a laugh, he was sure Hunter would rant about it later.
"He didn't even see anything. We were under the covers!" Sebastian threw his hands up, tired of the conversation.
"I heard things! Things that I will never unhear." Thad whimpered.
"Walking in on Seblaine would feel like walking in on my parents having sex." Trent shuddered.
"I'm going to sidestep you comparing us to your parents for a second because that's..." Blaine started with a raised eyebrow.
"Seb and I aren't together. It wasn't me with him." Blaine shrugged.
"Thad, who was it?!" Nick and David asked simultaneously.
"What's everyone talking about? Thad looks horrified." Hunter asked, entering the Warbler Commons with Mr Puss in his arms.
"He walked in on Sebastian having sex with someone," Jon explained.
"And it wasn't Blaine!" Trent added on.
"As thrilling as I'm sure this conversation is, why don't we focus on important things? Like rehearsals for the massive show choir competition, we are a part of?" Hunter suggested, trying to move swiftly away from the topic of Thad walking in on him and Sebastian.
"Great thoughts like that are why you are our Captain." Sebastian winked.
"But Thad still hasn't told us who it was!" David said.
"Was it the mystery guy that Sebastian has been pining after this month?" Nick asked, leaning forward.
"I'm not going to break Sebastian's trust by telling anyone who it was." Thad shrugged and high-fived Sebastian.
"And that is why Thaddeus is my best friend." Sebastian grinned.
"I thought Blaine was your best friend," Trent stated.
"Isn't Hunter your best friend?" Jon asked.
"Can a guy not have three best friends?" Sebastian exclaimed.
"He's very needy. That's why he has three of us." Blaine teased.
"I didn't have a choice in the matter, I have to live with the guy." Hunter rolled his eyes and placed Mr Puss down on his chair.
"This is why Thad is my favourite." Sebastian deadpanned.
"I'm heartbroken. How will I ever recover?" Hunter gasped, placing a hand over his heart.
"You've been hanging out with Jeff too much." Sebastian rolled his eyes fondly.
"That was a very Jeff reaction." Nick nodded in agreement.
"We should probably start practice before Trent starts ranting," Blaine suggested quietly to Sebastian.
"Hunter, our dear leader. Have you put any thought into the song suggestions everyone submitted?" Sebastian asked.
"Once I got through the pile of fake suggestions, yes, I did." Hunter sighed.
"I was very serious about the duck song suggestion." Sebastian grinned innocently, Thad and Blaine sharing a look at the couple's way of flirting .
"Unfortunately, the duck song didn't make it through the elimination round," Hunter said bluntly.
"The top four suggestions are Love Me Again, The One That Got Away, Unconditionally, and Try. Please mark off on this sheet which two you'd most like us to perform before leaving today," Hunter said, holding up a form and placing it on the table.
"As we don't have any confirmed songs to perform today, it will be a dance practice," Sebastian said, smiling at all of the groans and complaints most of the group let out.
February 24th
"Do you people not have homes to go to?" Sebastian sighed as he entered his room and saw Hunter with Jeff, Marley, Thad and Blaine.
"Not you Marley, we love having you here." Sebastian winked before leaning down to kiss Hunter in greeting, cupping his face with his good hand as he did, letting out a small laugh at Thad's noise of protest when Hunter deepened the kiss.
"We're having a movie night and decided that your room is the best because you two can cuddle without the risk of prying eyes," Marley explained with a wide smile.
"How thoughtful of you, little Rose," Sebastian replied and nudged Jeff out of the way so he could sit next to his boyfriend.
"It was my idea, actually," Jeff said, sitting on the other bed with Blaine and Marley.
"What movie are we watching?" Sebastian asked, lying between Hunter's arms.
"The Princess Diaries one and two," Blaine said.
Marley had suggested them both and no one had protested.
"I guess I get to look at Chris Pine in the second one." Sebastian shrugged, batting at Hunter when he pinched his side.
"What? It's not like you won't be looking at both Anne and Chris." Sebastian pointed out, looking up at Hunter.
"You make a good point." Hunter hummed and leaned down to kiss Sebastian again.
"Why have I been left on the bed with the couple?" Thad asked with a huff.
"You are the Huntbastian child."
"What? Why am I their child?" Thad exclaimed.
"Sebastian adopted you when he transferred here, and now he's dating Hunter. Therefore, you are now their child," Jeff explained.
"Sebastian and Blaine dated, but I wasn't their child." Thad pointed out.
"Thad, that wouldn't make any sense. Why would you be mine and Blaine's child?" Sebastian asked, pulling away from his kiss with Hunter .
"I give up," Thad threw his hands up.
"How are rehearsals for Regionals going?" Marley asked after the first movie.
"They are going well, we decided on our songs a few days ago so we're working on our harmonies whilst Sebastian and Hunter work out choreography." Blaine smiled.
"I wish that's what they were doing the other day." Thad shuddered.
"You learnt an important lesson that day, my young Thaddeus." Sebastian hummed.
"What happened the other day?" Marley asked curiously.
"Thad walked in on Sebastian and Hunter having sex." Jeff laughed.
"Oh no."
"It was traumatising." Thad groaned.
"Thad, you couldn't have seen anything that bad. We were fully under the covers." Hunter said, stroking his fingers through Sebastian's hair.
"I still found out way more than I needed to know about your relationship," Thad said and shoved a handful of popcorn into his mouth.
"It wasn't the ideal way for you to find out, but it could've been worse," Sebastian said, leaning into Hunter's touch.
"It's weird seeing Sebastian be the little spoon. You are acting like a newborn kitten right now," Jeff said, looking at the couple.
"Jeff please don't give my boyfriend a complex about being affectionate."
"I think it's cute. I'm happy everything worked out." Marley smiled.
"Everything but Blaine's crush on Sam." Sebastian joked, sticking his tongue out at him.
"Ugh, shut up, Seb. I'm not trying to gain a relationship with him. This is completely different." Blaine groaned and threw a cushion at Sebastian, making Mr Puss hiss at him. He left Marley and jumped onto the other bed to sit on Sebastian's chest.
"I can't believe one of your enemies is a cat." Thad laughed, reaching over to stroke Mr Puss.
"It's alright, Blaine. I'm in the same boat as you." Jeff nodded sympathetically.
"Not about having an unrequited crush on my best friend. I'm dating Nick. Better luck next time, though."
"Is this gang up on Blaine time or something?" Blaine pouted and reached for the second popcorn bowl.
"I promise not to say anything to you, Blaine." Marley smiled and shared a look with Sebastian.
"Thank you, Marley. I can always depend on you." Blaine grinned and held out the bowl of popcorn for her.
"You just have a crush on Sam because you ran out of exes to sleep with." Marley joked, taking the offered popcorn.
"Marley!" Blaine groaned and hid behind his hands.
"Little Rose, I didn't know you had it in you!" Sebastian laughed along with everyone else.
"Can we put the second movie on now?" Blaine asked, voice muffled by his hands.
"Thad, put the second movie on, please," Hunter asked.
"Okay, Dad." Thad joked, getting up from the bed to put the second disc in .
"They grow up so fast." Sebastian cooed.
February 28th
"Where's Sebastian? We can't practice our second song without him." Trent said once they'd finished the run-through of Love Me Again.
"He's on his way back from the Hospital. He was having a checkup for his arm," Hunter explained, passing out water bottles for the Warblers.
"He's finding out today if he has another two weeks left or if it's still a full month," Thad said, smiling gratefully at Hunter for the water.
"Let's all pray that it's two weeks and not four. I don't want to deal with cranky Seb." Blaine joked.
"Does anyone know who the guy Seb likes is yet? The mystery is killing me." Nick said.
"Are you still stuck on that? Seb doesn't want anyone to know. We should respect that."
"You are just saying that because you know who it is." David rolled his eyes.
"If it's someone close to him, then maybe they'll be put off when they see him singing a romantic duet with his ex at Regionals," Trent said.
"I wouldn't exactly call it a romantic duet," Blaine said quietly, resisting the urge to look over at Hunter.
"It's called the one who got away. I don't think it could get any clearer." Nick shrugged.
"They are only singing it together because of the group vote," Hunter reminded them, Sebastian had reassured him of that many times.
"And neither of us got away. We chose to end the relationship." Blaine reminded Nick.
"Nick, maybe you should drop the topic," Jeff said quietly to his boyfriend.
"Fine, we can talk about something else." Nick huffed and crossed his arms.
"I miss the beginning of one Warbler practice, and this is what happens? Everyone sitting around, having a break?" Sebastian drawled, walking into the room.
"Seb! How did it go? Is your arm healing correctly? Will the cast be off in two weeks?" Thad rushed out, looking at his best friend with a hopeful expression.
"Thad, calm down, take a deep breath." Sebastian laughed and placed his good hand on Thad's shoulder.
"It went well. My arm is healing correctly, and if all goes well, I should be cast-free in two weeks." Sebastian smiled, catching Hunter's eye over Thad's shoulder.
"That's great, Bas!" Blaine grinned.
"That doesn't mean you can use your arm like normal again straight away, though," Hunter said, still worrying over his boyfriend.
"Yes, I know. With you, Blaine and Thad watching my every move, I'm sure I'll recover quickly," Sebastian said with a fond eyeroll.
"But for now, how about we get back to practice? Regionals isn't going to win itself."
Sebastian took off his glasses and placed them on his Algebra homework, twisting in his chair to look at Hunter.
"Have you finished your work yet?"
"Oh, I'm sorry. Did you have to go an hour without my attention?" Hunter asked, looking up from his laptop.
Sebastian raised an eyebrow, got up and walked over to Hunter's bed. He removed the laptop from his boyfriend's lap and sat down in place of it .
"You made me do my algebra work. You know how much I hate algebra."
"Because it's due tomorrow, and you've been putting it off for days now." Hunter hummed, placing his hands on Sebastian's hips.
"It's done now. How about we do something more interesting?" Sebastian asked, removing Hunter's glasses and kissing his neck.
"Seb, I need to finish my essay, and then I have a movie to watch for film studies," Hunter asked, making no move to get his laptop back.
"That's not due until Monday, you've got time."
"You're a bad influence." Hunter groaned and pulled Sebastian's head up so he could kiss him.
"Hey Hunter, did you-" Jeff started, walking into the room and freezing.
"I'm sorry, Thad gave me his key!"
Sebastian groaned and placed his head on Hunter's shoulder.
"I'm taking the cursed keys from them."
"Jeff, why did you let yourself into our room without warning? Knowing what happened last time?" Hunter asked, rubbing Sebastian's back soothingly.
"Nick is out with David and Jon, and I still need to watch that movie for film studies. You said earlier that you haven't watched it yet, so I thought we could watch it together. Sebastian is usually with Blaine on Thursdays," Jeff explained in a rush.
"Blaine is hanging out with Sam today because Sam will be busy on Saturday." Sebastian sighed, moving off Hunter and sitting next to him on the bed.
"I'm sorry! I'll go back to my room, let you get back to..." Jeff trailed off.
"No, it's alright, you can watch your film here." Sebastian shook his head.
"But first, could you get us some pizzas? My wallet is on the desk, you know our orders already right?" Sebastian asked.
"Yeah, I remember them. Thanks Seb!" Jeff smiled and quickly left the room with Sebastian's walle t.
"You know we could've just ordered a pizza, right?" Hunter asked, tilting Sebastian's head up.
"I know. I just wanted us to have some time alone before the movie." Sebastian shrugged.
"Is everything alright? Did something happen at your appointment earlier?" Hunter asked softly.
"No, it's nothing like that. I promise." Sebastian reassured.
"It's just that when I got back from the appointment, I had to stop myself multiple times from leaning in and kissing you or wrapping my arms around you because the rest of the warblers were there, and then when we were finally alone, Jeff appeared."
"And you think that we aren't getting enough time together as a couple, considering we technically live together?" Hunter finished for him.
"It sounds stupid, I know. I'm just being needy. I wasn't like this when I was with Blaine."
"Well, that's because you could lean down and kiss Blaine whenever you wanted to during practice, which you did, we used the kiss jar money for multiple movie nights," Hunter said.
"I'm alright with our relationship being secret like you asked, I promise. It's just been a long week, and we've barely been alone."
"You don't have to explain yourself, Bas. I have weeks like this, too." Hunter kissed Sebastian's forehead and moved so he was lying down on the bed.
"Want to cuddle until Jeff gets back?" Hunter asked.
"Please."

Chapter 7: March
Chapter Text
March 4th
"Who wants to find our fearless leaders?" Nick asked, looking around the room.
"I'll go knock on their door," David said, standing up from his spot next to Trent.
"No!" Thad exclaimed and then covered his mouth.
"Um, I mean. I'm sure they'll be here shortly. They know it's Warbler game night." Thad said as casually as he could.
"Are you feeling okay, Thad?" Jon asked, pressing the back of his hand against Thad's forehead.
"You're acting weird." Trent hummed.
"That's just Thad being his usual self," Jeff said, trying to cover for him.
"It's no bother checking on them," David assured with a smile.
"They are busy!" Blaine said quickly.
"Taking Mr Puss for his walk." Jeff nodded.
Blaine sighed and squeezed his eyes shut for a moment of all of the excuses Jeff could've made.
"Mr Puss is a cat," Trent said suspiciously.
"Cats need exercise, too." Thad shrugged.
"Sebastian uses the walk in place of the lacrosse training he would've started by now if his arm wasn't still broken," Blaine explained, Thad and Jeff nodding along instantly.
"I guess that makes sense," Nick said and picked up a pack of cards from the table.
"Who wants to play snap?"
"Hey guys, sorry we're late!" Sebastian apologised, walking into the room with Hunter.
"It's alright. Exercise is important for a cat." Jon said, looking up from his pile of cards.
"Right..." Hunter said slowly, looking at Jeff for an explanation.
"Mr Puss is the only cat I know that takes walks," Trent said.
Sebastian shared a look with Blaine. The excuses were getting worse.
"Mr Puss is a military cat so I guess it makes sense." David shrugged.
"Can we play Monopoly now that everyone is here?" Thad asked.
"Let's go over the rules first. No biting, no kicking, no throwing the board, no verbal insults if you land on a bad spot, and no throwing your drink in someone's face. Nick, I'm looking at you for that last one." Blaine recited as they gathered around the monopoly board in their set pairs.
"That was one time!" Nick exclaimed.
"This is not going to end well," Sebastian murmured, watching Thad roll the dice.
March 16th
"So this is where dreams go to die." Hunter grimaced.
"You two are made for each other, that's what Seb always says." Blaine rolled his eyes.
"And I'm not wrong." Sebastian shrugged.
"Sure, McKinley isn't the best but it's not as bad as you make it out to be." Blaine defended.
"The walls have slushie stains on them."
"Yeah, I have nothing to defend that." Blaine laughed and opened the choir room door.
"They're multiplying," Kitty shuddered.
"If you are here to spy on our rehearsals then you are too late, practice just finished," Tina said, holding the notes to her chest.
"Why would we need to spy on you when you aren't in the competition?" Hunter asked with a smirk.
"Hunter, be nice," Marley said, kissing Jake's cheek before joining them.
"Why is there a new muscular version of Twink Warbler?" Kitty asked with an eyeroll.
"This is Hunter Clarington, he's our Captain." Blaine introduced before Hunter or Sebastian could snark back at Kitty.
"I'm sure you've repressed sectionals due to your tragic loss but Hunter introduced himself on stage there and gave one of the best performances your little stage has ever seen," Sebastian said, defending Hunter.
"Aww cute, little meerkat Warbler has found himself a new guy to obsess over hopelessly since Blaine dumped his ass," Tina said with a patronising grin.
"Woah, okay!" Marley said, standing in front of both Hunter and Sebastian.
"Hunter, do not reply to her," Blaine said, giving Tina a disappointed look.
"I did not dump Sebastian, we mutually broke up."
"Is it a rule that the warblers can only date in group?" Artie asked.
"Coming from the group where you not only date in the group but switch around partners like it's a party game?" Sebastian asked.
"We only have one Warbler couple currently, Nick and Jeff," Blaine said, praying to the choir Gods that this conversation would be over soon.
"I thought the little happy one and the tall one were dating?" Brittany asked innocently.
"Thad and Jon? I also thought that when I joined but no, they aren't a couple." Sebastian smiled at Brittany.
"I thought Wes and David were a couple when I joined but they weren't," Blaine added.
"The Warblers need more couples so we can go on a double date!" Brittany grinned.
"As fascinating as this conversation is, why are you in our choir room," Tina asked, bored of the situation.
"Hunter and Sebastian are picking up Marley and I'm here to see Sam," Blaine explained, high-fiving Sam.
"How thrilling." Kitty deadpanned.
"We'll have her back by nightfall Jake." Sebastian winked and led Marley out of the choir room.
"I can see why Blaine transferred now," Hunter said and reached for Sebastian's hand.
"I'm sorry about Kitty, she's like that with everyone." Marley apologised.
"It's not the first time a McKinley cheerleader has disliked me." Sebastian joked, smiling reassuringly at Marley.
"We're going to have the best time at the movies! It's a triple billing so I hope you aren't tired." Marley grinned excitedly.
"Anything for our little Rose." Hunter smiled, she was the little sister he never had.
March 28th
"Killer, everything alright? You've been pacing for a solid ten minutes now."
Blaine looked up and shook his head. Alright was not a word Blaine would use to describe himself currently .
"What's wrong? We've practised our duet countless times, we're going to win this." Sebastian reassured.
"What if I mess up a dance move? I don't want to be the reason why the senior Warblers miss out on Nationals."
"You could do the dance routines in your sleep at this point, you don't have to worry about that. Now, do you want to tell me the real reason?" Sebastian asked, pulling Blaine to sit down on the sofa with him.
"Cooper is in the audience and I haven't performed in front of him for a competition like this before," Blaine admitted, wringing his hands together.
"Cooper is going to be proud of you win or lose," Sebastian assured, placing his hands on top of Blaine's to stop the nervous habit.
"But you don't have to worry about that because we've got a duet between us and a solo from Hunter, that's a winning combination right there."
"And you don't have a broken arm anymore," Blaine added with a small smile, starting to relax again.
"There we go, the order is restored, Blaine Anderson is smiling again."
"Are you two getting back together?" Jack, a junior Warbler asked, making everyone turn to look at them.
Sebastian sighed and let go of Blaine's hands, shooting Hunter an apologetic look.
"No, we are not getting back together. I was just nervous about performing so Seb was reassuring me."
"You guys don't need to ask that every time the two of us are next to each other." Sebastian rolled his eyes.
"Sorry Sebastian, Captain, Sir." Jack fumbled, rushing back to the other juniors.
"Listen up Warblers, we've got ten minutes until we are called on stage. You've all practised this to the best of your abilities and I'm proud to be your Captain, win or lose." Hunter said, looking around the room proudly.
"And the Regionals winner is..."
Sebastian took a deep breath in and out and shared a smile with Hunter and then Blaine.
"The Dalton Academy Warblers!"
Cheers erupted from the Warblers, more so when a confetti canon went off, they were finally heading to Nationals!
"We did it!" Sebastian grinned brightly, staring at Hunter.
"We make a great team." Hunter smiled and dipped Sebastian into a kiss, the Warblers somehow cheering louder for that than their win.
"Of course, you went for a dramatic reveal," Sebastian rolled his eyes fondly and kissed Hunter again before the Warblers all jumped on them, Blaine holding their trophy up high.
"Seb please let them ask questions, it has been five minutes and they all look set to burst." Blaine laughed.
Sebastian looked at Hunter and raised an eyebrow.
"Stop having telepathic conversations, let us out of our misery!" Nick groaned.
"Questions, let's go," Hunter said, wrapping an arm around Sebastian's waist.
"When did you get together?" Nick asked eagerly.
"It was clearly New Year, they kissed but it didn't go well so Seb rebounded back to Blaine," Trent said.
"Wrong, it was when Seb broke his arm," Jon said.
"I think it was just a random day, it built up for a while beforehand though," David suggested.
"You are all wrong." Thad shook his head with a sigh, all of the Warblers turning to face him.
"You walked in on them having sex!" Nick said, realisation shining in his eyes.
"Why would you remind me of that? I've been working so hard at repressing it." Thad shuddered, Hunter and Sebastian laughing together.
"Our first date was February 15th." Sebastian grinned.
"He didn't want our anniversary to be Valentine's Day," Hunter rolled his eyes, letting out a yelp when Sebastian pinched his side.
"Yeah, that tracks." David nodded.
"I'm so glad everyone finally knows, keeping this secret was torture," Jeff groaned dramatically.
"You knew this whole time?!" Nick asked.
"I'm sorry! I know the mystery was driving you insane but I couldn't betray Hunter like that, he's my bro!"
"Someone's in the doghouse." Sebastian sang, dodging the empty bottle of water thrown his way.
"Why didn't you tell anyone?" Trent asked curiously.
"For a few reasons, it was nice to have time for ourselves at the beginning of this," Hunter explained.
"Not that we ever got any with how often our room was taken over," Sebastian huffed, looking at Blaine, Thad and Jeff.
"Marley was great, she's always allowed." Hunter hummed.
"Little Rose is always welcome." Sebastian agreed.
"You told McKinley people before us?!"
"Marley was the original supporter and she kept trying to set us up," Hunter explained, he would send her a bouquet every month for the rest of his life to thank her for it.
"I protest!" Thad shouted.
"What are you protesting?" Sebastian asked, looking at his best friend weirdly.
"I hold the spot of the first Huntbastian shipper. I sensed something between you both when we were getting ready for homecoming when you were fixing Hunter's tie."
"Blaine and I were about to go to homecoming together and you were thinking about how Hunter and I would be a good match? Sebastian asked.
"Hunter smiled and you held eye contact for a weird amount of time before I accidentally made you break it and then you teased Hunter about making him smile and he flirted with you even if he didn't realise it because he said maybe you've never made him smile before. And then you said you were going to make it your life's mission to make him smile every day!" Thad explained in a rush, looking slightly manic.
"That's gay."
"Sebastian, honey. That's because you are gay." Hunter laughed and kissed his cheek.
"This is what we've been putting up with this whole time," Blaine shook his head with a fond smile.
"I'm still not sure which is worse, this or when they were both pining pathetically," Jeff mused.
"You didn't have to put up with Hunter being your roommate for a month because he was avoiding a conversation," Blaine huffed.
"No, but I did have to hear Hunter complain daily about how he thought you and Seb were back together," Jeff said.
"Well if that's how you feel then I guess storytime is over," Hunter said, the Warblers all protesting.
"Way to go Jeff!" Jon grumbled.
"Don't forget Blaine, he ruined it for us too." Nick glared.
"It's nice to know that you aren't going to be as weirdly invested in this relationship as you were with my previous one," Sebastian deadpanned.
"At least they didn't make a bet about us," Hunter said as a silver lining.
"Why do you all suddenly look suspicious," Sebastian asked, looking around the room.
"You made a bet about us, didn't you." Hunter sighed.
"It was made at the beginning of January when we were trying to work out why you were ignoring each other," Trent explained.
"We will be taking Blaine and Jeff out of it as they had insider knowledge," Jon said.
"Thad, Jon and Wes are the only three winners left then," David read out from the book.
"Wes? He doesn't even know us, how did he end up winning?" Sebastian asked, he's spoken to the previous head warbler before but not enough to warrant him winning about bet about his personal life.
"He skyped David in the middle of a study session and we ended up explaining everything to him."
"Of course you did," Sebastian laughed.
"Cooper, Sam and Marley are waiting for us in the lobby," Blaine said, looking up from his phone.
"Dibs on holding the trophy!" Three voices echoed at the same time.
"I thought you said you weren't a throuple?" Cooper asked, the Warblers looking at their Captains and Blaine with wide eyes.
"What?!" Blaine squeaked.
"At Christmas, you said you weren't dating them or your blonde friend even though they were all asleep in your room but Sebastian and new Warbler kissed on stage," Cooper said, Sebastian hiding behind Hunter to hide his laughter.
"That's because they are dating, just the two of them!" Blaine rushed out, going as red as the piping on his blazer.
"So you are dating your Blonde friend?" Cooper asked, pointing at Sam.
"We're not dating but Blaine does want to do me." Sam shrugged, chewing on a Twizzler Thad handed him.
"Oh my God." Blaine groaned, glaring at Sebastian who was practically on the floor he was laughing so much.
"What? You do want to do me!" Sam protested.
"Blaine isn't dating Sebastian, Hunter or Sam," Marley said, trying to salvage the situation.
"That's just sad, maybe you should get back out there, and ride the joy that we call life," Cooper said, looking confused at the laughter that spread around the group.
"Yeah Blaine, why don't you go back out there and ride." Nick laughed.
"You love riding life don't you Blaine?" Sebastian winked, Blaine hiding his face behind his hands.
"I know that was good advice but I didn't need two parrots." Cooper huffed.
"Thank you for coming to the performance Cooper, I really do appreciate it." Blaine smiled, trying to change the topic.
"No worries squirt, I was happy to watch you perform." Cooper praised.
"We can have an in-depth discussion about the whole performance tomorrow at brunch," Cooper added.
"Great. I can't wait," Blaine said, looking at Sebastian for help.

Chapter Text
April 3rd
"Twenty minutes until we're leaving! If you aren't at the designated meeting point before then, we're leaving you behind!" Trent called through the door, hitting it once before leaving.
"Sunshine Warbler my ass," Sebastian grumbled and rolled off of Hunter.
"We've got everything packed and in the car already, so all we need to do is put our shoes on and carry the cat carrier out," Hunter hummed, pulling Sebastian back onto him.
"I like the way you think Hunt," Sebastian smirked and reached across for his phone.
"I've set an alarm for fifteen minutes, I don't doubt that Trent actually would leave us behind." Sebastian rolled his eyes, placing his phone back down and redirecting his attention back to his boyfriend.
"Thirty seconds until they are officially late," David called out, looking over Trent's shoulder at the stopwatch.
"Anymore last-second bets on if they'll make it on time?" Jon asked, holding out the official Warblers betting book.
"Twenty dollars on them making it with seconds to spare!" Jake called out.
"Sold!" Jon called back.
"Didn't both Hunter and Sebastian ask you to stop making bets about them?" Sam asked, leaning against one of the cars.
"Technically Bastian said to stop making secret bets about them," Thad shrugged, he was on a winning streak so far this year with bets and he wasn't going to stop now.
"Five, four, three, two- And here they are!" David cheered , their Captains rushing through the doors looking thoroughly rumpled.
"Who decided on a morning flight anyway?" Sebastian complained, only perking up when he was handed a thermos of coffee from Sam.
"I can see why Blaine wants to sleep with you now," Sebastian cooed, holding the coffee close to his chest.
"Shut up Sebastian," Hunter and Blaine echoed.
"Thanks, bro! I might be single again now because Brittany went back to Santana but I don't want to sleep with you and I don't think your boyfriend would like that even if I did." Sam said, patting Sebastian on the shoulder before jumping back at the glare Hunter shot his way.
"I don't want to sleep with Sam," Blaine grumbled, mainly to himself.
"You don't want to sleep with Sam anymore, you mean." Jake corrected with a laugh.
"Be nice to Blaine!" Marley said, smiling sweetly at him.
"Thank you, Marley!" Blaine smiled back.
"He's still single and has to see his ex with his new boyfriend every day, his previous ex is in New York with a British boyfriend and now he doesn't even have his emotional support crush on his best friend to help him through it!" Marley said a signature Hunter grin on her face.
"I'm banning you from being friends with Hunter, he's corrupting you!" Blaine groaned as the rest of the group laughed.
"What's everyone standing around for? Let's go!" Hunter said, winking at Trent as he got into Sebastian's car.
"Murder is illegal." David reminded Trent as he pulled him towards Jon's car.
"Why do I have to have Mr Puss' carrier on my lap?" Thad groaned, looking at Marley and Jake for help.
"Because Sebastian trusts you the most and I didn't want to inconvenience Marley," Hunter explained.
"Also, you are the smallest so you have the most space," Sebastian added.
"I should've gone in Jon's car," Thad complained to himself.
"Oh wow, this place is beautiful!" Marley gushed looking at the beach house with wide eyes.
"Are you sure your Mom is alright with us staying here for a week?" Jake asked, following the group inside .
"Perfectly fine, it was her idea actually." Sebastian grinned and pulled the suitcases out of the car.
"The only rule is, don't break anything."
"And Seb and I get the largest room," Hunter smirked, kissing his boyfriend's cheek before grabbing the two suitcases.
"Dibs on the room furthest away from them!" Thad shouted.
"No fair! I didn't know we had started dibs yet," Jeff complained.
"Dibs on the room furthest away from Niff!" Blaine shouted.
"Why don't we settle this the old-fashioned way?" Sebastian suggested once everyone was inside.
"I'll count down from five and then everyone will run and choose the room they want, you all know who you are paired with."
"Marley gets a five-second head start," Hunter said, smiling at her.
"No fair, why does Marley get special treatment." Nick huffed.
"Because Marley is everyone's favourite and she's also the only girl, she deserves to be treated like a Queen for having to deal with all of you this week," Hunter explained, everyone nodding in agreement.
"Everyone ready?" Sebastian asked.
"Welcome to the Hunger Games," Sam joked.
"Marley you can go," Sebastian smiled, laughing as she ran off.
"Five, four, three, two, one, GO!"
Sebastian watched in amusement as everyone apart from him and Hunter ran off, including Jake for some reason.
"My leg!"
"Who pushed me into the wall?"
"This is a conspiracy!"
"Clean up in aisle five!"
"Who do you think tripped and fell?" Sebastian asked, rolling his eyes at their friend's theatrics.
"Definitely Jeff," Hunter laughed and wrapped his arms around Sebastian's waist.
"Thad probably tripped over Jeff and that's why Jon shouted," Sebastian added, placing his arms around Hunter's neck.
"Jon still probably managed to get them the third best room though, after us and Marley,"
"Who do you think got the worst?" Hunter asked.
"Do you care?" Sebastian asked, leaning in.
"Not one bit." Hunter hummed, closing the gap between them.
April 5th
"Hey Marley, how fond are you of Jake?" Blaine asked, sitting down next to her on the beach.
"Quite fond, why?" Marley asked with a blush.
"You might need to find a new boyfriend because I don't think he or Sam will survive the next few minutes." Blaine joked, nodding over to the duo.
"Oh no," Marley said, placing her head in her hands.
"This is like a car crash you can't look away from," Marley said, peeking through her fingers as Sam and Jake carried two buckets of water over to where Hunter and Sebastian were lying on a blanket making out.
"They lived good lives and will be truly missed," Blaine sighed, placing a hand over his heart.
"I don't even think I would get away with this," Thad said.
Marley winced at the resulting shout as the duo threw the water over the couple and shook her head.
Hunter chased after Jake while Sebastian went after Sam.
"Hunter would make a great football player." David hummed as they all watched Hunter tackle Jake.
"How confident are we that Bastian won't drown Sam?" Jon asked as Sebastian chased Sam into the water.
"If he drowned Sam then Blaine would be upset and Seb wouldn't want that," Thad said hopefully.
"There is still a small chance that he'd still do it," Blaine joked.
"Anyone want to go and help them?" Trent asked, looking around the group.
"Too comfy," Jeff hummed from where he was sunbathing, not opening his eyes.
"I don't want to get on Huntbastian's bad side," Nick shrugged.
"Who knew Hunter could lift someone so easily," Thad said as they all watched him carry Jake to the water.
"Do you think Seb could lift someone?" Nick asked curiously.
Blaine spluttered as everyone looked at him and looked at Marley for help.
"I don't think you have a choice but to answer the question," Marley said apologetically.
"Yes Seb can lift someone," Blaine said reluctantly, blushing at everyone's whooping and cheers.
"I hate all of you."
April 6th
"Why are Sebastian and Hunter facing opposite directions?" Jon asked, walking into the front room.
"They had an argument." Blaine rolled his eyes.
"Why are they holding hands?" Thad asked curiously from beside Jon.
"Because they normally go to each other when they argue with someone," Marley giggled.
"And I thought Sebastian was clingy when he was with Blaine," Thad joked, looking at Marley confusedly when that annoyed the couple.
"Sebastian and Blaine fell asleep watching a movie and were leaning on each other in their sleep and Hunter came in and didn't appreciate the cuddling," Marley explained.
"We weren't even cuddling! We just had our heads resting against each other," Sebastian defended.
"It was completely innocent Hunter," Blaine assured.
"How am I meant to know this isn't part of some plan for you to get Sebastian back?" Hunter asked, glaring at Blaine.
"I don't want to get back with Seb! I don't know how many more times I need to say that," Blaine groaned.
"Sam doesn't like you, and you always have to like someone because you are obsessed with relationships, so don't act like rebounding with Bas is such a wild thought," Hunter explained, his hands clenching as he spoke.
"Blaine doesn't like me in that way anymore Hunt and even if he did then I wouldn't care because I'm dating you!" Sebastian said, turning around so he could face Hunter.
"You liked Blaine for over a year! How can you already be over him completely?"
"Because I love you, you idiot!" Sebastian shouted, reaching for Hunter's hands again.
"Time for us to leave, everyone out," Marley said, herding Blaine, Thad and Jon out of the room, wanting to give the couple some privacy.
"That wasn't how I wanted to tell you that but here we are."
Hunter shook his head and stood up, pacing back and forth.
"You didn't love Blaine after a year."
Sebastian sighed and stood up, walking over to Hunter and stopping the pacing.
"That's because Blaine wasn't who I was meant to be with."
"Why me? It would be a lot easier with Blaine, he wouldn't get jealous or argue with you over stupid things," Hunter said, relaxing into Sebastian's arms.
"I'd rather have a hard time with you than an easy time with Blaine," Sebastian assured and wrapped his arms around Hunter.
"I'm sorry for being jealous, it'll probably happen again," Hunter joked, wrapping his arms around Sebastian.
Sebastian laughed and kissed him.
"I look forward to it,"
"I love you too," Hunter said quietly a few minutes later.
Sebastian smiled brightly and kissed Hunter again.
April 10th
"Why do I always get the worst seat?" Thad groaned, trying to shift the Cat carrier into a more comfortable position.
"It's because you are the favourite." Nick hummed from the driver's seat.
"What about this screams 'favourite'?" Thad asked with a huff.
"Hunter is very protective of Mr Puss but he always chooses you as the person to look after him," Jeff explained.
"Yeah, because he wants to be able to sleep during the car journeys." Thad rolled his eyes, looking at the sleeping couple at his side.
"Just accept that you are the Huntbastian child and will always be elected to look after your brother," Nick laughed.
"Marley never has to do this," Thad crossed his arms.
"That's because it's Marley, we would never want to inconvenience her," Jeff replied, Nick nodding along.
"How long until we get to the airport?" Thad asked after a few minutes.
"Thirty minutes, get comfy Thaddeus!"
"I hate my life."
April 15th
"Why do we have to keep picking up Marley from here?" Sebastian groaned as he followed Blaine into McKinley.
"Because Marley doesn't have a car and we love her." Blaine reminded, trying to hold back a laugh at how put out Sebastian looked.
"You could've left the baby with Hunter."
"He had track and I didn't want the baby to get all shaken," Sebastian said, protectively holding the baby to his chest.
"You could've had one of the Warblers babysit," Blaine said.
"Why are you trying to get rid of my son?" Sebastian asked, glaring at Blaine.
"I'm not trying to get rid of him!" Blaine laughed and looked at the baby.
"Don't you think he would look cute with a little bowtie?" Blaine suggested, pushing the door to the choir room open.
"You are not putting a bowtie on my baby," Sebastian replied instantly.
"Why do you have a baby?!" Jake asked, trying to work out what he had missed in the five days since Spring Break had ended.
"He probably kidnapped the poor thing." Tina rolled her eyes.
"Sebastian Warbler, can I hold your baby?" Brittany asked, bouncing up to the duo.
"Of course, just be careful with him." Sebastian smiled and handed the baby to the Cheerio.
"I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone," Artie said.
"Blaine, does Sebastian know that his baby isn't real?" Brittany asked in a loud whisper.
"Yeah, it's a fake baby for our health class," Blaine explained.
"That makes so much more sense." Sam laughed.
"What's his name?" Unique asked, looking over Brittany's shoulder.
"Thad Jr."
"Oh, I bet Thad loved that." Marley laughed and joined Unique and Brittany.
"Why are you all gathering around a fake baby?" Kitty threw her hands up.
"Can we circle back to the bowtie now?" Blaine asked, looking at Sebastian.
"You are not giving my baby your fashion sense," Sebastian said, crossing his arms across his chest.
"He would look adorable!" Blaine said.
"Nope, sorry, it's not happening," Sebastian said determinedly.
"Since when did you know how to say no to Blaine? You used to be a pathetic puppy following his every word." Tina rolled her eyes.
"Well if Blaine wanted to watch a movie I didn't like or an outfit I didn't want to then he'd convince me in...other ways," Sebastian smirked, knowing how to hit Tina's buttons.
"Gross. Blaine would never do that." Tina shuddered.
"Oh, I would. Seb even let me dress him in my style for date night once." Blaine said. The Warblers teased Sebastian for a whole week after that one.
"I didn't think I was ever going to get the gel out."
"Someone please change the topic." Kitty drawled, checking out her nails.
"Blaine Warbler, do you have a baby?" Brittany asked, Thad Jr now in the arms of Marley.
"I do! She's back at Dalton with my classmate."
"Speaking of, we should get back to Dalton before movie night starts without us," Sebastian said.
"Like Hunter would let them start without you." Blaine rolled his eyes.
"That's just Seb's way of saying he misses him and that he wants to go back." Marley teased, placing Thad Jr back in his arms.
"Always the smart one little Rose." Sebastian praised.
"Sebastian Warbler can you tell your boyfriend that Lord Tubbington doesn't want to speak to Mr Puss anymore after they argued about the stock market?"
"Sure?" Sebastian replied confusedly , looking at Blaine for help.
"Sam, Jake, are you sure you don't want to come?" Blaine asked.
"Next time for sure bro, Tina, Artie and I have plans," Sam said apologetically.
"I have dance practice but I'll join Sam next week," Jake assured.
"Good luck, next week is Blaine's movie choice." Sebastian groaned, laughing at the shove Blaine gave him.
"Maybe I'll be the busy one next week." Marley teased.
April 17th
"If Dalton for some reason ever set on fire, who would you save first?" Thad asked.
"Is Marley there or is she safe elsewhere?" Sebastian asked.
"Marley is safe."
"I'd save Hunter but he could probably save himself so then I guess Blaine."
"I thought I was your child??!"
"You are, my dear Thaddeus but I know Jon would save you."
"I hate being the middle child." Thad huffed.
"What about you? Who would you save?" Sebastian asked.
"Probably Blaine," Thad said after a few seconds of thinking.
"You got mad that I didn't choose you but you also didn't choose me?!" Sebastian exclaimed, throwing his hands u p.
"How am I carrying you out of a burning building?! You are multiple inches taller than I and have all of those hidden muscles under the blazer." Thad defended himself.
"It still would be nice if you tried." Sebastian pouted.
"Why is Sebastian pouting?" Hunter asked, walking into the room with Thad Jr strapped to his chest.
"Thad said if Dalton was burning down and he could only save one person then he'd save Blaine." Sebastian huffed, tilting his head up for a kiss from Hunter.
"You'd leave your Dad behind? I thought we raised you better than this Thaddeus." Hunter sighed and leaned down to kiss Sebastian.
"He didn't choose me either!" Thad protested.
"Well, yeah, Jon would save you." Hunter shrugged and unstrapped the baby from his chest.
"I give up." Thad groaned and raised an eyebrow at Thad Jr's outfit.
"Is he wearing a baby-sized Dalton blazer? Where did you even get one of those?"
"I know a guy." Sebastian hummed, watching Hunter place the baby in his bassinet.
"The two of you do realise that your baby is fake and that dressing him up won't improve your grade?" Thad asked, his fake baby with Jon was just wearing the clothes they were provided.
"We named him after you and you still don't respect him." Hunter shook his head sadly.
"Our Health teacher said she loved our approach with Thad Jr and that we could get extra credit if we keep it up all week," Sebastian said, moving over so Hunter could sit with him.
"I guess that's why you are the top two suggestions for Valedictorian."
"I love you babe but Valedictorian will be mine," Sebastian winked at Hunter.
"I love you too but it'll be mine," Hunter grinned, kissing Sebastian again.
"There better not be a bet about this Thaddeus."
"I promise that the only ongoing bet right now is about Blaine," Thad assured, holding his hands up in defence.
"Why have I not been informed about this? I'm Blaine's best friend!"
"Well actually, Sam is Blaine's best friend but I'm sure you are a close second Bas." Thad teased.
"First you won't save me from a fire and now this, this house is a fucking nightmare." Sebastian huffed, Hunter, trying his best to keep his laughter in.
"What's the bet?" Hunter asked.
"Who will Blaine end up with."
"Has anyone said Seb?" Hunter asked, leaning forward in his seat.
"Of course not! We're all firmly team Huntbastian."
Hunter grinned and settled back into Sebastian's touch.
"I'm going to assume Hummel is the front-runner?" Sebastian asked with an eye roll.
"Seventy-five percent of the votes have been for him, yes."
"It would be against my nature to even think about voting for him so I'm going to go with Sam having his bi-awakening in college instead," Sebastian said, that would be a much better scenario than having to deal with Hummel again.
"I'll go with Blaine staying single and having crushes on more people he can't be with," Hunter shrugged.
"New York is a big city, it's possible," Thad mused.
April 27th
Sebastian watched in amusement as Sam gave Blaine a lap dance, the latest in the long line of dares in their game.
"I don't know what is more entertaining, Blaine blushing so much he looks like he might explode or Hunter standing to the side looking more annoyed than anyone should be, being that close to a shirtless Sam." Jeff laughed, wiping tears from his eyes.
Sebastian bit his tongue so he didn't laugh at his boyfriend's misfortune but judging by the look Hunter gave him, his face still gave away his amusement.
"How much longer do I have to be handcuffed to Blaine?" Hunter asked once the lap dance was over.
"When the two of you get on properly, those are your getting-on handcuffs." Marley grinned innocently.
"I can think of a few things we could do to make you get on whilst handcuffed," Sebastian smirked, teasing his boyfriend.
"We are not having a threesome," Hunter said bluntly, sitting down next to Sebastian, Blaine almost tripping at the abrupt movement.
"It's Blaine's birthday and you haven't given him a present yet!" Sebastian hummed, leaning in closer to his boyfriend.
"Sebastian stop taunting Hunter." Thad laughed.
"But it's so much fun," Sebastian grinned, kissing Hunter.
"Come on guys, we don't need to see your foreplay." Trent sighed.
"Blaine doesn't seem to be minding it but that could just be because Sam broke his little gay brain," Kitty said, always happy to stir the pot.
"Blaine can try his luck with Sam. Sebastian is off limits." Hunter said, wrapping his free arm around Sebastian's waist.
"Can someone please take their turn," Blaine groaned, shooting a look at Kitty.
Kitty rolled her eyes and spun the bottle in the middle of the group.
"Weirdly tall Warbler, drink or dare?" Kitty asked Jon.
"Dare," Jon said with a confident grin.
"I dare you to lift one of the warblers over your head."
"That's just offensive," Thad murmured when everyone looked at him immediately.
"That's what you get for being the smallest Warbler," Sebastian teased his best friend.
"Please don't drop me, I like my body not being broken," Thad said, accepting his fate and walking over to Jon.
"If you drop Thad, you will be doing extra dance rehearsals every day until Nationals," Hunter warned Jon.
"Aww, you do care," Thad grinned, looking at Hunter.
"I take it back, feel free to drop Thad," Hunter deadpanned, the rest of the room laughing.
"Do NOT drop Thad," Sebastian warned, shaking his head at Hunter.
"I'm getting a lot of mixed messages here," Jon joked and stretched his body before facing Thad and slowly but surely lifting him.
"That's quite impressive actually," Kitty said , she was disappointed that no one was dropped but it was still entertaining to watch.
"Should I matchmake them?" Marley whispered to Jeff as they watched Jon carefully place Thad down.
"We're not sure on this one, it's been a Warbler debate since last year," Jeff whispered back.
"I think this is one of the times where you should just let it play out naturally, just in case," Nick said from beside Jeff.
"Sebastian, drink or dare?"
"Dare."
"I dare you to tell us who's better in bed, Hunter or Blaine?"
"There is no way this is going to end well," Trent sighed.
"Now why would you need to know that?" Sebastian asked Nick.
"Morbid curiosity."
Sebastian rolled his eyes and laughed when he saw how invested both Hunter and Blaine were in his answer.
"I'm not sure I can answer that," Sebastian said after a moment.
"Why not?" Blaine asked with a huff.
"Probably because he pitched for one and catches for the other," Kitty remarked, checking out her nails.
Sebastian glared at the warblers as they all laughed and he shrugged.
"I was going to say it's because I can't guarantee you don't have a bet about this."
"But I guess Kitty's reasoning also applies."
April 28th
Sebastian groaned as he woke up, Hunter's arm tightening around him as he did. He never usually got hangovers but he was suffering this time.
"I'm never moving again," Sebastian said, burrowing closer into Hunter's chest.
"As much as I'd love to agree, I'm pretty sure we're still at David's house," Hunter said, eyes still shut.
"I'm sure David won't mind," Sebastian said and raised an eyebrow when he noticed that Hunter and Blaine were still handcuffed together.
Hopefully, Marley hadn't left yet.
Sebastian yawned and ran his fingers through his hair before freezing, his blood running cold.
"Where is my hair."
"Hunt, where is my hair." Sebastian panicked, sitting upright, trying not to be sick at the sudden movement.
"What do you mean-" Hunter asked, finally opening his eyes and looking at his boyfriend.
"You have a buzzcut," Hunter said bluntly, going to reach across to touch it before feeling a tug on his hand.
"Why am I still handcuffed to your ex?"
"I guess Marley didn't think you were getting on enough to take them off," Sebastian laughed.
"You don't get to laugh right now, Mr Puss has more hair than you do."
"Please stop talking, I feel like my brain is going to explode," Blaine groaned from under a cushion.
"I can't even appreciate the fact that the three of us shared a bed last night because one of our unhinged friends shaved my head!"
"They what?" Blaine asked, pulling the cushion away.
"Oh my God."
"We're going downstairs right now," Sebastian demanded, standing up and pulling Hunter with him.
"Can you be more careful? It hurts when Hunter moves suddenly ," Blaine grumbled and followed the couple out of his room.
"The throuple awakens!" Jake cheered as he heard them coming down the stairs.
"Just in time for lunch-" Marley paused and looked at Sebastian with wide eyes.
"Dude, what happened to your hair?" Sam asked, shrinking away at the look Sebastian gave him.
"That's what I would like to know. One of you shaved my head and I want to know who it was and why," Sebastian said and looked around the room.
"And why are we still handcuffed?" Hunter asked, lifting his and Blaine's hands.
"I unlocked the cuffs last night around midnight, someone must've put them back on you," Marley said apologetically.
"Can we have the key?" Blaine asked hopefully.
"...I don't have it anymore,"
"What do you mean you don't have the key anymore?" Hunter asked slowly.
"When I freed you both from the handcuffs last night I left them on the table with the key. So whoever put them back on you also has the key." Marley explained sheepishly.
"Did anyone see who put them back on us?" Blaine asked, looking around the room.
"Maybe one of the warblers saw something?" Sam suggested.
"Hunter! Stop moving so suddenly ." Blaine grunted and sped up to follow him into the dining room.
"Who has the key? And why did they handcuff us together again?" Hunter asked, looking around the room.
"And who gave me a buzzcut?!" Sebastian demanded, arms crossed.
"I have no recollection of the buzzcut but good luck to whoever it was, we'll throw a nice funeral," David said, holding his hand to his heart.
"I think it looks cool Seb," Thad praised.
"Of course, it looks cool. It's still me after all," Sebastian smirked.
"That's not the point though, what am I meant to do with a buzzcut?!"
"Feel the breeze against your scalp?" Nick joked.
"Jeff, I'd hide your boyfriend if I were you," Hunter suggested, putting his free hand out to stop Sebastian from moving.
"I know who handcuffed you together," Jon said with a grin.
"It was Sebastian."
"Seb, honey, you better have a great reason for this," Hunter said, turning to face him fully.
"I have no recollection of doing it but I'm sure I did," Sebastian defended, smirking at the betrayed look Blaine was giving him.
"You were trying to have a threesome," Trent rolled his eyes.
"You were making out with Hunter on the couch and when you eventually came up for air you pulled Blaine away from Sam and handcuffed him to Hunter."
"See, that's a good reason!" Sebastian winked.
"Bastian, I'm not sure handcuffing your boyfriend to your ex to try and initiate sex is the smartest thing to do," David said.
"Especially when your boyfriend is still worried about you still liking your ex," Jake added.
"What he said," Hunter nodded, glaring at the cuffs.
"Any feelings I have for Blaine are long gone, I was just being stupid and drunk, I promise," Sebastian assured, cupping Hunter's face between his hands and kissing him softly.
"I love you, only you," Sebastian whispered.
Hunter smiled and wrapped an arm around Sebastian's waist to kiss him back.
"Aww!" Marley cooed, happy they made up before an argument could happen.
"Put your tongues away, your son is right here!" Jon said, shielding Thad's eyes from the ever-deepening kiss.
"I don't think they can hear you," Jeff said, this was far from the first time the couple had gone into their own world during a kiss.
"They need to stop soon, Sebastian needs to get the key so I can go to my lunch with Cooper," Blaine said, holding his arm up with a sigh as Hunter used his own handcuffed hand to hold the back of Sebastian's head.
"Sebastian doesn't have the key." Trent hummed.
"What do you mean Sebastian doesn't have the key?!" Blaine exclaimed.
"By the time he went back to the table to get the key, it was gone."
Blaine sighed and rubbed his forehead with his hand.
"Please tell me you have another part to this story where you say who has the key."
"Sorry Blaine, we don't know who has the key." Thad apologised.
"I can't cancel on Cooper, he's going back to LA in the morning."
"Looks like you are going to have to take Hunter with you," Nick grinned, taking way too much enjoyment from this outcome.
"Cooper already thinks you are a throuple so I'm sure he won't mind Hunter being there," Jeff teased.
"Great, what could go wrong."
"You know, you could just admit that you are dating at this point. The excuses are getting worse each time squirt." Cooper said, raising an eyebrow at the duo.
"We're not dating!" Blaine groaned and looked at Hunter for help.
"I can assure you that I'm not dating your brother and would never want to date him," Hunter said with a grin, winking at Cooper.
"You didn't have to add that last part," Blaine grumbled, pushing his food around the plate.
Cooper looked between the two of them confusedly , he was missing something.
"Okay, you might not be dating but something is definitely off between the two of you," Cooper said, pointing at them both.
"Hunter keeps thinking that I'm going to try and steal Sebastian from him," Blaine rolled his eyes.
"You already did it once, what's stopping you from trying again?" Hunter asked, angrily cutting up his omelette.
"I didn't steal Sebastian from you at New Year's because you weren't dating yet!" Blaine groaned.
"Woah, okay, what happened at New Year's?" Cooper asked, trying to find all the puzzle pieces needed to solve this.
"I was about to kiss Sebastian and your perfect little brother swooped in and pulled him away so that he could kiss him instead," Hunter explained, glaring at Blaine.
"Seb and I could've been dating since that night if it wasn't for him," Hunter added.
"That's cold-blooded Squirt, didn't you break up with Sebastian a few weeks before? Talk about mixed messages."
"I didn't know you and Sebastian were about to kiss! I still thought you were straight back then and I was drunk!" Blaine defended.
"It proved that you still wanted him!" Hunter said.
"It was just sex! I don't have feelings for Sebastian, I promise."
"Hunter I don't know you or Sebastian well but I know my brother and he's not this good of a liar. He's not trying to get back with Sebastian and you shouldn't keep holding something that happened months ago against him."
"Sebastian loves you, not me. It's clear in the way he looks at you and the smile he gets when he gets a text from you when we're studying." Blaine smiled.
"I'll try my best to move on from this one-sided rivalry but I can't guarantee that I'll be perfect," Hunter sighed after a moment, giving Blaine a small smile.
"Great! Now that we've sorted this out, I can use the key Tina gave me to unlock those handcuffs," Cooper grinned, pulling a key from his pocket.
"What?!"
"Your friend Tina dropped this key off to me this morning and said that I wasn't allowed to free you until you sorted through your problems. She said it was annoying her and she has a vested interest in keeping Hunter and Sebastian together," Cooper explained, handing Blaine the key.
"Tina hated me dating Sebastian," Blaine said to Cooper, finally unlocking the handcuffs.
"Weird way for her to go about this but I guess it worked." Hunter shrugged and stood up.
"I'm going to go back to David's and see if Seb has worked out who shaved his head yet, thank you both for Lunch." Hunter nodded and quickly left the restaurant.
"So, what about Sam? Should I ask Tina for help getting you together?" Cooper asked, waggling his eyebrows.
Blaine groaned and placed his head on the table.
"I hate my life."
"Seb, babe? You still here?" Hunter called out, closing the front door behind him.
Hunter looked around suspiciously, it was way too quiet.
"Run," Jeff said, almost falling down the stairs from the speed he was going.
"What? Where is everyone?" Hunter asked and looked up when he heard a crash.
"You were supposed to get him out of here! Hunter, run." Marley said, appearing from the side room.
"HUNTER ALEXANDER CLARINGTON!"
"Oh no."
Hunter turned and quickly ran out of the door.
"Can someone please explain what's going on?!" Hunter shouted, running around the driveway whilst dodging his boyfriend as all their friends watched.
"You shaved my head!" Sebastian shouted, diving for Hunter.
"No, I didn't! I loved your hair!" Hunter said, wincing as they hit the ground.
"Tina sent a video and it's definitely you shaving Seb's head with Blaine cuffed to you," David explained, watching from a distance.
"Was Tina behind everything last night?!" Hunter exclaimed.
"This still doesn't prove that it was my idea!" Hunter exclaimed, sitting up on the grass.
"He's right Seb. Hunter could've been doing it because he's the only one you'd trust to shave your head," Thad said.
"I didn't want a buzzcut!" Sebastian huffed, rolling off Hunter and lying next to him on the grass.
"I'll make it up to you babe, I promise," Hunter reassured, kissing his shoulder.
Chapter Text
May 4th
"What are you all doing?" Sebastian asked, walking into the room hand in hand with Hunter.
The remaining Warblers, minus Blaine, were all gathered around a large whiteboard as Nick wrote on it.
"Working out the best way for us to use our votes for Prom King so that the two of you and Blaine get an equal amount of votes from us," David explained with a smile.
Sebastian shared an amused look with Hunter and looked more closely at the board.
"You don't have to go through all of this trouble for us, we're not fussed if we don't win," Hunter said, taking a step behind Sebastian when all of the warblers turned in sync to stare at him.
"Bad move babe," Sebastian joked.
"It is tradition for at least one Warbler to win each time! Do you want us to throw away our tradition ?! You mock us!" Trent protested, slamming a pen down.
"Blaine and Seb won Homecoming but that doesn't guarantee them a win this time," Jon said, turning back towards the board.
"Huntbastian weren't a thing then, we have to factor in the statistics of their popularity as a couple," Nick said, erasing a sentence.
"The survey we did with the sports teams leaned heavily in Sebastian's favour but varied when it came to Hunter and Blaine," Thad said, looking through his notes.
"The track team was all for Hunter, the lacrosse team varied, the swim team was mainly Blaine."
Blaine looked up as he entered the room, curious about what was happening and noticed the whiteboard.
"Not again," Blaine murmured to himself.
"They did a survey?" Hunter asked Sebastian quietly.
"I'm not sure whether I should be concerned or impressed considering the nominations only got announced this morning," Sebastian hummed, pulling Hunter towards the couch.
"A mix of both," Blaine said as he joined them.
"They take this a lot more seriously than Homecoming," Blaine added.
"It's just a poor-quality crown and a title that only matters for the remaining few weeks until we graduate," Hunter said, confused about what all of the fuss was about.
"I'd say maybe it's their way of distracting themselves from the fear of Nationals coming up but they were like this last year too," Sebastian said, trying to read everything on the board.
"I think my favourite section is 'Emergency protocol: What if Blainter win?'" Sebastian smirked.
"They gave us a name? I should've seen that coming," Blaine laughed.
"I'm looking forward to Prom but I don't care about a stupid crown, I'm just happy to be there with you," Hunter said quietly to Sebastian, feeling grateful to have him when thinking back to Homecoming.
"I'm happy to be there with you too Hunt," Sebastian smiled and kissed his boyfriend.
"But another crown for my collection would be nice," Sebastian added with a wink.
"You're lucky I love you," Hunter rolled his eyes.
"I love you too," Sebastian rested his head on his shoulder and looked up at him.
"And you owe me for shaving my head so we will win this."
"Anything you want dear," Hunter smiled, kissing Sebastian's head.
"I need a boyfriend," Blaine grumbled from the side, crossing his arms with a pout.
May 11th
"I'm getting deja vu," Thad said as he watched Sebastian fix Hunter's tie.
Sebastian smiled and thought back to Homecoming, whilst he was extremely happy back then with Blaine, he couldn't think of anything better than being with Hunter at this moment.
"Thankfully not the exact same as back then," Hunter smiled, leaning in and kissing Sebastian.
"I should have seen that coming," Thad said to himself, looking around the room whilst the couple kissed.
"Everyone decent?" Jon asked, entering the room holding a corsage.
"They aren't but when are they?" Thad rolled his eyes, turning to face Jon with a smile.
"You look great! I um, I got you this," Jon said, holding up the corsage for Thad.
"I know that men are usually meant to have boutonnieres but they were sold out when I went to buy one and the only thing still left that would match your suit was this corsage and I didn't want to turn up empty-handed. You don't have to wear it if you don't want to!" Jon rambled.
"I love it, Jon, thank you," Thad smiled brightly and held out his wrist for Jon.
"Wait, what's happening?" Sebastian asked, breaking away from Hunter.
"Are you two going together? As a date?" Hunter asked, crossing his arms across his chest.
"It was nice knowing you," Thad joked, knowing there wasn't anything that could help Jon now.
"I'm sorry I didn't ask for your blessing!" Jon rushed out, looking at both Hunter and Sebastian apologetically.
"How long has this been going on? Is this your first date?" Sebastian asked, placing a hand on Hunter's shoulder.
"Yes it's our first date, I promise I haven't been kissing your son in secret!" Jon exclaimed, his usually calm demeanour gone completely.
"That sounds like something that someone who has been kissing in secret would say," Sebastian said, enjoying the drama of it all.
"We would know," Hunter added.
"I promise I haven't! I asked Thad to Prom the other day when we were studying!"
"We're going to talk about you not telling me about this later, I thought I was your best friend?!" Sebastian asked, looking at Thad.
"You didn't tell me you were dating Hunter! I found out by walking in on you having sex!" Thad shuddered.
"Touche."
"If you hurt him, they'll never find your body," Hunter said bluntly.
"Understood, I promise I'll do my best to be a good potential boyfriend,"
"Does that mean you approve?" Thad asked hopefully, he'd still go to prom with Jon if they didn't but their opinions meant a lot to him and he'd love to have their support.
"Of course we do. I thought you were dating when I first transferred," Sebastian said, smiling at the future couple.
"We've all been waiting to see if you would ever work it out yourselves," Hunter smiled.
Thad and Jon stared at the couple in shock, they didn't think anyone had noticed what was brewing between them over the years.
"Now onto other topics, where is my boutonniere?" Sebastian asked Hunter, giving his boyfriend a questioning look.
"Why am I the one buying it? What if I wanted you to buy me one?" Hunter asked, raising an eyebrow.
"You shaved my head," Sebastian said bluntly.
"That's a good point," Thad echoed.
Hunter rolled his eyes, walked over to his bedside table and took out a box.
"It's a good thing I know my boyfriend so well," Hunter teased and showed Sebastian the boutonnieres.
"They are beautiful Hunt, I love them," Sebastian smiled softly and let Hunter attach his to his suit.
"Perfect," Sebastian said after he attached Hunter's.
"They are probably going to kiss again, want to leave?" Thad asked Jon, holding out his hand.
"That's probably for the best, yeah," Jon nodded took , Thad's hand with a smile and left the room as Hunter and Sebastian predictably started kissing.
"And the Prom King with the most votes is...Sebastian Smythe!"
Sebastian grinned brightly and stepped forward so the principal could put the crown on his head, laughing at the enthusiastic cheers from the warblers.
"And the nominee with the second most votes is...a tie?"
"Hunter Clarington and Blaine Anderson!"
"I think we campaigned a little too much for equal votes," Nick said to Jeff.
"Oh really, what gave that away?" Jeff laughed as Sebastian dipped Hunter into a kiss to cheers.
"You can give Hunter the crown," Blaine said to Principal Smith, he still had his homecoming one in his room.
Hunter nodded gratefully at Blaine and leaned down slightly so the crown could be placed on his head.
"And now for the first dance of our crowned Kings!" Principal Smith announced and then realised the problem of Blaine not having a partner.
"Don't worry Principal Smith, I've already solved that problem," Sebastian smiled, nodding towards the entrance where Sam was just walking through.
"You got Sam to come?" Blaine asked, touched by the thought.
"I phoned him earlier to ask what time he was getting to Dalton and he had no idea that Prom was even happening today. He was running late because he didn't have a suit that fit so he had to go for a fitting, all paid for by me of course," Sebastian explained as the three of them walked off the stage.
"Thank you, Bas," Blaine smiled and leaned up on his tiptoes to kiss Sebastian's cheek and joined Sam.
"I didn't want you to be at your last Prom by yourself, I hope you don't mind," Sam said, placing his hand on Blaine's waist to start the dance.
"It's sweet of you to be here Sam, I appreciate it," Blaine smiled, happily swaying with him.
"Is this a date?" Blaine asked quietly after a few minutes, the dance floor being filled out by Dalton students once again.
"I don't know," Sam admitted apologetically.
"You don't need to apologise, Sam, there is no pressure on you for this to be a date. I'm happy to be here with you as a friend, I promise."
"Just give me a little more time? I'm trying to work out if I'm thinking about the possibility because I'm actually having feelings for you, another guy, who saw that coming? Well everyone I guess..." Sam trailed off.
"Or if I'm thinking about the possibility because everyone keeps mentioning it, does that make sense?" Sam asked.
"It makes complete sense, take all the time you need," Blaine smiled and rested his head against Sam's shoulder as they danced.
"Are you done staring at them yet?" Hunter teased, kissing Sebastian's shoulder.
"Sorry, I just don't want Blaine to get hurt again and if this goes wrong tonight then it'll be my fault," Sebastian explained and looked away from the dancing duo.
"My focus is fully on you again, my King," Sebastian teased, placing his arms around his shoulders.
"I like the sound of that, maybe this Prom King thing isn't so bad," Hunter smirked, holding Sebastian closer.
"I love you."
"I love you too, always," Sebastian smiled, the happiest he'd ever felt.

May 25th
Sebastian looked out of the curtain at the crowd and took it all in with a proud smile, they'd finally made it to Nationals.
Sebastian looked around until he found where Marley, Jake, Sam, and Blaine's family were sitting and waved at them when Marley noticed before closing the curtain.
"Everything alright?" Hunter asked, coming up behind his boyfriend, pocketing his phone before hooking his chin over his shoulder.
Sebastian hummed and leaned back into Hunter's touch, relaxing instantly.
"I'm good, just taking it all in."
"Did you see where everyone is sitting?" Hunter asked, swaying them slightly.
"Yeah, I found them. I'm glad they all made it."
Hunter smiled and kissed Sebastian's ear and let go of him.
"Look again."
Sebastian turned around and gave his boyfriend a confused look.
"Take a look babe," Hunter said, turning his boyfriend back around.
Sebastian hesitated for a few seconds before opening the curtain and looking to the section where he knew their friends were and froze when he saw his Mother and younger brother sitting next to Marley.
"How?" Sebastian asked, waving at them, laughing at how enthusiastic Skylar was.
"I have my ways," Hunter shrugged and wiped at Sebastian's eyes when he turned back around.
"You haven't been able to see them all year and I know you wanted them here so I pulled a few strings, your brother is technically here to visit Dalton as his perspective school this September. That's what I told his Principal in Paris anyway."
"Thank you!" Sebastian hugged Hunter tightly and kissed him deeply.
"Not to break up the moment but we're about to go on stage in a few minutes," Blaine said from behind them, the rest of the warblers with him.
Sebastian broke the kiss and held onto Hunter's hand as they stood in front of the warblers.
"Before we go on stage I just want to let you all know how proud I am of all of you for helping us get here. When I joined at the beginning of the year I had dreams of Nationals but I wasn't sure if we'd be able to make that a reality but I was given the best team I could've asked for." Hunter praised, making sure to look around at every Warbler in the group.
"Win or lose let's go out on a high and give our family and friends the performance of a lifetime," Sebastian added.
"Aww our Captain's have gone soft," Blaine teased, dodging the shove Sebastian tried to give him.
"Group hug!" Jeff declared, everyone crowding around Hunter and Sebastian and laughing.
"WE DID IT!" Nick cheered as they headed backstage, their first-place trophy in Blaine's arms.
"The Warblers, National Champions 2013!" Jeff shouted, bouncing as he walked.
"I'm going to go and find my Mom and brother, want to come with me?" Sebastian asked, standing to the side so the warblers could all go past.
Hunter froze, suddenly realising that he was going to be meeting his boyfriend's family for the first time.
"No need to look quite so scared babe, they are going to love you," Sebastian assured and pulled Hunter towards the door leading to the lobby.
"SEBASTIAN!" Skylar shouted, running up to them as soon as he saw them.
"Sky!" Sebastian caught Skylar, thankful for Hunter's hand on his back keeping him steady and hugged his brother tightly.
"You were so good! The Warblers are so cool, I want to be one!" Skylar gushed.
"The Warblers would be lucky to have you," Sebastian praised and stepped back from the hug.
"When did you get so tall?!"
Skylar laughed and shrugged as their Mom joined them.
"He woke up one morning and was suddenly taller than me, I don't know how it happened," Delphine said, ruffling Skylar's hair.
"Moooom, don't embarrass me in front of Seb and his boyfriend!" Skylar pouted.
"Maman! I've missed you both so much." Sebastian said, hugging his Mother close.
"I've missed you too mon cheri," Delphine smiled, cupping Sebastian's cheek.
"It's a pleasure to meet both of you, I've heard so much about you," Hunter said, holding his hand out for Delphine.
Delphine laughed and pulled Hunter into a hug, Skylar joining in.
"We hug in this family," Skylar explained.
"And you are part of our family now," Delphine smiled.
Sebastian watched proudly and wrapped his arm around Hunter's waist once the hug was over.
"With how much Seb talks about you during every phone call, he's never letting you go," Skylar said, signature Smythe smirk in place.
Sebastian groaned and looked at his Mom for help.
"Don't look at me darling, you do spend most of the time in our calls talking about him."
Hunter laughed and held Sebastian closer.
"I'm very glad to hear that because I'm not planning on letting him go anytime soon."
