“Kris?” Noelle asked out loud. They could barely tell the difference, but they jolted anyway at being addressed. They looked at Noelle and she looked… she looked terrified. Moreso than she had in a long time. She might’ve looked this scared in Cyber World, but… Kris was trying to forget that as much as they could.
Noelle was looking at their wrist, and suddenly the cooling silver clasped around it burned and stung their skin. They moved their right hand to cover the accessory, but the damage was already done.
Noelle could barely force out her words. “Why are you wearing… my watch?”
