Chapter Text
“Now, let’s see,” Obi-Wan began. “I believe we left off at the point where your father was ready to begin his plan, correct?”
“Yes,” Luke replied eagerly.
“Well,” the old man went on, “Feemor, Aayla, Anakin, Ahsoka and myself flew in our ships, with our troops, to Dooku’s home planet of Serenno, and launched an attack there. We were met by another Jedi, Pelis Gad, and his Padawan, Jakys Grai, a young Bothan boy. The hope was that, with his own world under attack, Dooku would divert forces from Alderaan in order to defend it. We were not alone, either – you see, Dooku had actually taken the title of count from his nephew, Adan. Adan and his mother, Kostanza, ironically enough, had been living on Alderaan, but now they returned to Serenno with us, along with Adan’s cousins, Bran and Jara, the children of Dooku’s late sister Jenza. Our plan was to destroy Dooku’s weapons factories and military bases on Serenno, as well as to rally support for his nephews, niece and sister-in-law. Dooku had his own army of supporters on Serenno, not just battle droids but humans and some other sentient species, so we knew we were up against an unusual level of difficulty. However, we hoped his nephews, niece and sister-in-law would be able to help rally some support against him. We also hoped to kill two, or rather three, birds with one stone this way – slow down the war effort for the Separatists, drawing troops away from Alderaan, and fomenting rebellion on Serenno.”
“We still have some friends on Serenno,” Kostanza was saying. “I think at least some of them will support us, and hopefully, they can rally some of their family and friends to our side.”
Obi-Wan nodded in agreement. “Feemor and Aayla will accompany you,” he said. ‘The rest of us will lead the attack on Dooku’s bases.”
After dropping off Feemor, Aayla and the four Serennians at a safe location, Obi-Wan went, Anakin and Ahsoka went to destroy the two weapons factories, while Pelis and Jakys went after the planet’s military base.
“And,” Obi-Wan concluded, noticing Luke yawning, “I believe that’s a decent place to stop.”
