Chapter 1: Both arms cradle you now
Chapter Text
Was everything necessary? The rules that were given by the higher ups, destroying lives that were made with meaning. Every small mistake leading to their miseries.
Telamon is tired.
Tired of the bloodied grounds that he caused, his illuminating sword, used for justice- so bright, so godly being tainted by the blood of robloxians and not his enemies. Their screams echoed around arena, a place where sinners were sent to after being banned by Doomsbringer; a place where they meet their end with no other chances to be forgiven at all.
His duty was to kill them all, those who sinned greatly and those who were unlucky. It was exciting at first, the adrenaline rushing into his head. It was thrilling, hearing the screams of those who were below him in status. The feeling of authority was satisfying for Telamon, their plead for mercy, their sobs for another chance. Telamon enjoyed it for centuries, he enjoyed the corruption.
And at some point, he saw the pure raw emotions of robloxians. Every single one of them, pushed through the arena with determination. Each helped one another, ignoring their differences, their grudges— to fight together. (And of course, they didn’t stand a chance.)
Telamon was amazed by the sheer determination and unity of the robloxians, vaguely reminded him of his colleagues. They all had different lifestyles, thoughts and choices— and yet they were a set. Each of them compliments one another, neither were shunned out. This made him realized how unique each one of them were.
All their sins may never fade, but the common strength the robloxians all had towers above everything else.
And Telamon felt something he had never felt before facing these fragile lives— empathy. A feeling so vulnerable; a feeling so foreign that he never once felt since the beginning of everything.
Countless times he looked at those who tried to fight for their lives— and he wanted this to end. The abuse of power might have been great for the past decades, yet the thrill ended long ago.
Telamon is conflicted.
--
Rarely does Telamon ever feel conflicted to make his choices, and if he ever does. He had always asked Dusekkar for help, the very man who had clear understanding with emotions.
And so, Telamon headed out. Searching for his fellow colleague, wanting his questions to be answered.
\
“Dear Telamon, what do you seek? I’ll answer clear, both strong and meek.” Telamon let out a huff as he sat down next to Dusekkar. His presence warm and comforting, not that he will ever admit it.
Telamon hesitated, thinking about how ridiculous his current situation felt. Dusekkar nudged at his side, noticing the silence. So, Telamon opened his mouth and spilled out his thoughts.
“It’s ridiculous. Truly, I don’t know why this is happening—” Telamon rambled, his thoughts were a mess.
“Oh, calm down now my little birdie.” Dusekkar held onto Telamon’s hands. The warmth snapped him out of this panic, instead he felt the comfort of Dusekkar’s flames.
“It’s just that…centuries passed. Why do I suddenly feel regret for what I did…?” Telamon grumbled. He is a deity feared by all. Causing countless of meaningless deaths just for satisfaction, so, why now? What is this excruciating feeling that made him so lost?
It's not new information that Telamon despises the unknown. He’s calculating, always ahead of everything and everyone. But with the new found realization, that these robloxian lives had much more meaning than he thought pains him.
“Oh Telamon, it’s not too late,
Your journey holds a kinder fate.
A long life still lies ahead,
Your heart be filled not with dread.
Embrace the cracks, the tender part,
Let your vulnerability bloom within your heart.”
Dusekkar rhymes through his advice, something that commonly occurs in every conversation. The admins have no idea why Dusekkar speaks in this vocabulary, however, his words does impact a lot. The verses gave a much more deeper meaning than anything; the verses gave them all a sense of comfort.
(Despite being admins, they were familiar with vulnerability; emotions; weaknesses. They rather not embrace them, however, some days they share their thoughts with one another; some days they cradle into each others arms, yearning for something they don’t own.)
Telamon stayed silent, thinking hard about the words Dusekkar spoke out. It is true that he has centuries to change, although it’s hard to be forgiven. Change is something that he could act on, however, where does he even start from?
He wants to dive deep into the unknown, the vulnerability he swore to never interact.
Telamon wants to change.
--
“Life is fragile, yet so bright,
A fleeting spark, a gentle light.
So why not hold it, soft and true,
And let its beauty cradle you?”
“What?”
“My dear Telamon, embrace it.”
Dusekkar spoke no further, he didn’t add any more rhymes. Just those words were said and he left, leaving Telamon with confusion.
Telamon may understand every rhyme Dusekkar says, yet, he did not understand what he meant this time. Embracing life isn’t a common thing that he does or even at all.
To embrace life. Telamon couldn’t decipher what Dusekkar meant.
So, with the most fucks he ever gave, there he was on the center of the arena. A fire ring symbol spread across the ground, burning bright and giving off intense heat.
With a sigh, he chanted a spell. Words that normal mortals couldn’t understand were said in a whisper. The fire ring glowed brighter than before, the flames grew larger and towered over him.
And he stopped, the flames still huge, slowly fading. Smoke was everywhere, clouding the whole arena.
To embrace life. Telamon could only think of one thing.
To create one.
A loud cry was heard in the middle of where the fire was. A sound of a young one, a sound of a baby. Telamon had created life, and he was going to embrace it with understanding.
He walked over the flames ignoring the heat and there it was, a fragile life before him.
And oh, it looked ugly.
Tears dripped down all over its face, face as red as the flames that had disappeared not long ago. The screeching cries was all it let out.
It was horrible, the sounds made Telamon’s ears bleed. It was annoying, looking at its disgusting face.
Telamon kneels down, holding onto the tiny fragile being. The sounds of crying was louder than his own thoughts, he placed his finger in front of its face.
It stared in confusion, the crying soften. And with a small giggle, the baby held onto Telamon’s finger. Clenching it with all its strength, and it voiced out random noises that no one could understand.
It was warm, the sounds that made Telamon’s heart tremble. It was pleasant, looking at the joy on the fragile being’s face.
“1x1x1x1, this is now your name, little one.” A creation that he will embrace from now on.
--
“What the hell did you do, Telamon?” Builderman grumbled, his voice stern. However, it was not out of anger, just annoyance.
(Builderman never dares to raise his voice to any of the admins, after all, he treasures them deep down in his heart wholeheartedly.)
“I…may or may not…created a baby?”
Builderman paused, his attention no longer on the codes in his computer. He looks at Telamon, staring straight into his eyes.
“A…baby?”
Neither of them spoke, it was just silence.
Builderman was sure Telamon is selfish, a deity who never gave his heart out to beings beneath them all. Dusekkar is the only one who had weakened his cruelty, embracing the vulnerability and the meaning of life.
A knock interrupted his thoughts. Both Builderman and Telamon stopped their silence, and looked over to the entrance.
“Come in.” Builderman replies.
Entering the room, a blue pumpkin-headed deity stares at Telamon with a shocked look on his face. His arms carrying a baby that Telamon could recognise anywhere.
"My dear Telamon, of stubborn mind,
Embrace the joy of life I meant, not creating humankind."
Silence
Everyone was silent, neither of them speaking.
“Hi papa!”
“What the f—”

It has been a solid 5 years since 1x was created. And in these 5 years, Telamon’s heart softened.
Telamon might have misunderstood what Dusekkar said. However to everyone’s surprised, it had worked. Telamon no longer preys on the robloxians, he had lessened down the blood shed towards the fragile beings.
1x1x1x1, now a 5 year old demi-god ran around the office. Giggling with no care of the world, the sounds of laughter made Telamon’s heart filled with joy.
“Seriously? Telamon, you should…hire a babysitter for that thing.” Builderman said with annoyance.
“Hm, why not let this thing roam with freedom?” Doombringer surprisingly had also softened his heart towards the creation. It’s funny, really. Builderman never sheds blood, and yet the two cruelest admins changed before him. Out of the four, Builderman was still stuck with his responsibilities, coding in his office 24/7 and no breaks.
Builderman sighed, and ignored the laughter. Instead, he focused his attention onto the screen and continues his work.
--
The three admins made a plan to make Builderman to atleast enjoy life, or even rest. It was concerning, they tried countless times to bring him anywhere away from the office for centuries. Sure, Builderman did stop to have a walk with them in their garden. However, he was still so adamant on working after each of the walk.
Even worse, Builderman barely ever left to visit the city in Robloxia despite being an admin who is in charge of the constructions.
“Let’s go on a date.” Telamon enters the office without knocking, startling Builderman.
He looked up, seeing all three admins at the door. Blinks at them, and continued doing his work. Ignoring the small gasp from Dusekkar, and the loud grumble of Doombringer.
“Seriously? Come on, Builderman. Let’s go and enjoy life a little!” Telamon huffed in annoyance, striding forward to his desk and glaring down at Builderman.
Builderman looks up, looking straight into Telamon’s eyes. Neither of them spoke, just silence and yet they were somewhat communicating in a way…
“Fine. 1 hour.”
“5.”
“3.”
“4!”
“…Alright.”
Both Dusekkar and Doombringer let out a cheer.
--
“I don’t like this place.”Doombringer voiced out, seeing the sight in front of him made him annoyed.
There was a festival going on, something about celebrating the fact that the banning system has changed to something more peacful. This festival started 4 years ago, when Telamon had announced the change of the banning system. Only if it’s really serious, they will be permanently banned. However, if it’s small, the ban will only last for a few days.
And the mortals so happy, they made a whole week of a festival dedicating to that. Which pisses off Doombringer , after all he still hated robloxians… just a little lesser than before.
As they were walking, the sounds of laughter and joy was everywhere. The people were dancing around, singing a song that meant everything for them.
‘bumps’
“Grh, watch where you’re going! You-“
The robloxian that accidentally bumped into Doombringer looked at the group with slight fear, intimidated by Doombringer huge figure and his loud voice.
“No.” Builderman gripped his shoulders, not to hard but strong enough to stop his movements. His commanding voice made Doombringer stopped his attempt on summoning his hammer.
“My apologies, sir. My friend here has anger issues, please forgive him.” The robloxian looked at Builderman, slightly familiar with his appearance.
“Uhrm, it’s alright… do you mind me asking, are you cosplaying as Builderman?” The robloxian’s fear was quickly replaced by excitement.
The admins all paused, now realising how similar they are to their admin forms, except for Telamon. Who changed his appearance into something different, even going further by naming himself ‘Shedletsky’.
“Uh- yes…” Builderman answers, after realising the silence he let on.
The robloxian started rambling about how Builderman is great...for hours. The admins were all forced to sit on the benches as the robloxian continues to speak.
--
“Man, what the fuck was that.” Doombringer had never seen anyone talk about how good admins were, usually they speak about them with fear. (And it’s true, everyone fears the admins. But with the change, they all slowly warmed up.
“The glaze is actually is insane.” Telamon Shedletsky laughed. Not expecting the conversation to be about Builderman, and maybe a few of them too, lasting for hours.
Builderman haven’t spoke after the conversation. Lost in his thoughts.
For the last centuries, all the love he had only received from was the admins. No one else had ever appreciated his work, his effort to attempt making Robloxia a better place, despite the banning system 5 years ago.
“Maybe. I could go out with you all more.”Buildernan finally said.
The three admins paused their actions, looking at Builderman in shock.
“Really?”
“Yes, really.”
--
And so, every weekend. They all took a break from their work and went out for a walk, looking at the scenery, trying out different cuisines the robloxians made. They enjoyed their lives.
Doombringer looks at the three, they were all in a restaurant. Chatting away with joy, they were all happy.
They were all embracing life.
And Doombringer was too. Afterall, he would follow their footsteps. He would do anything just to be with them. The people that he embrace, his world.
“You should try out this turkey chicken, oh my admins. It taste heavenly.”
Doombringer snapped out of his thoughts, looking at Shedletsky with disgust.
“Your greed sickens me.”
“Okay? Wow.”
Doombringer never regretted befriending them in the past. Where all the admins were in war with one another, each having different views which caused conflicts. And he’s glad, they had a truce- leading to them now in the present.
They all embrace the meaning of life, the meaning to live.
