Her gaze meets the Dragon’s, and she holds his eyes. His shake slightly, and she realizes. He saw it too.
Something giddy rises in her chest, he saw it too. She can do that? Show the futures she sees? Or is it because his was so set in stone? Because his choices were almost identical in every branch?
He saw though. He saw, and now..
She wants him. That one. She will save him, will let him save himself. And then she will see if the future really is so set, if fate can’t be twisted to her favor.
This time. If she can save this one, then Arlong will be simple.

Fate is malleable, but only in the hands of someone who knows what they're doing with it. Rosinante doesn’t know the future, but Shyarly does. And she’s tired of being chained down to fate.
Or: One slight change to canon, lets see how far these ripples spread.
