It has been 3 months since ██████, the former heir to the ██████ family, parted ways to tread a new path towards the future.
Sources say that ██████ has created a new live-house under the name By the Beat, in the ██ area. Set to open on the 14th, the area is bustling with preparations.
However, not everything may be smooth sailing. We asked around the ██ area to better understand what locals think of the opening of the business:
“The owner doesn’t feel very reliable. I mean, have you heard about his previous work? Instead of working to prepare to take over the family, he ran away. How can you trust a business venture with that kind of reputation?”
Another local expressed similar doubts:
“Don’t get me wrong, I’m really excited! I think competition is a good thing, especially in this area. It’s how you get a bunch of really great music for sure, and the prices can be really good. But, um, I have heard the rumors about the staff? It doesn’t look very good, because you don’t want a place to close within a month because of a whim.”
We reached out to By the Beat for comment, and received no response.

I’m hesitate to post this but i want to warn others so they don’t make the same mistake I did in trusting this establishment. Not only is it completely rundown, it is also dangerous. They don’t check your bags or pay attention to who they let in, which really doesn’t feel safe considering how late it opens. There are many other live-houses you could visit around the ██ area that have a better reputation + trustworthiness

By The Beat opened its doors on the 14th of December over this weekend.
Despite an influx of negative attention on social media, the business appears to be running smoothly with tickets for opening night selling out the day of.
The space of the live-house, previously an out-of-commission building, is now refurbished with glossy countertops and dazzling lowlights. Thank you for sticking around for this fic!! I hope you enjoyed it! Honestly in hindsight this should have been even longer ?? But whoa. It was so much to code! Thanks again to kaestudies for allowing me to use his art for the discord icons, and to the amazing coders on ao3 that have made their resources available for anyone to use.
Here is worldbuilding that I couldn’t find a way to include in the fic, but impacted the writing of it anyway:
- Seible and Zeal were acquainted a long time ago as children due to their family circumstances, but weren’t close until Seible left his family. They ran into each other by chance when Seible was setting up the live-house, and bonded over their shared circumstances~
- Zeal doesn’t really use social media… Kaelix had accounts, but mainly uses private ones! In the future, they would open socials to the public!
- Despite being called “opening night”, it wouldn’t be until a few months pass that BTB really becomes established in its community. So if we were to put this in the debut timeline, debut happens at least 4~ months after this fic (though they don't become livers in this world)
- Fic written after the reveal that all of BTB was using the original space of the live-house independently of each other, so now it’s canon divergent haha
- Mentioned before but mentioned again here, I’ve written BTB as their characters, not as livers/real life people!!Code Credits:
