To do this was to give a name to something he had refused to look in the eye for months on end—spending his time pouring his whirlwind of thoughts onto paper and tune to try and begin to understand everything about it. About that summer. Those summers.

His heart thunders, and his hands shake as he wraps his hands around the mic.
“And to quote the song,” A flash of the heat of summer, of pressed bodies and stolen glances and shared laughter. His voice wobbles as he quietly whispers the silent admission of what it truly meant to him. “I’m sorry, every single song is about you.”

The girl trotted up to the two, pausing their conversation as she teased Seible. “Did you record all of that? I might steal your crowd!” “Oh you hate me, Finana-senpai! Stealing our customers!?” Finana rolled her eyes, arms crossing with her black outfit blending in the darkness of backstage.
Freo watched with a soft chuckle, putting on a group playlist of music through the speakers as nobody was on stage anymore. Through his work his mind began to drift away into his own thoughts, Seible’s and Finana’s short banter blurring as the dry-ness of his throat began to bug him. He swallowed not wishing for water but something else to quench his thirst.
His mouth was parched for the lasting taste of metal and the thick consistency of blood as one does as a vampire. Thinking back, he hasn’t fed in awhile. The last time Freodore properly fed was… just over a week ago? And it was his last blood bag too. As he ran his tongue over his teeth, feeling his fangs threatening to poke his own tongue.
