Pappy says you can step in the same stream twice if it's your own damn piss, but Monty's pretty sure that's not how the saying goes. The first time Monty falls in love, it's because of Pappy's quick and easy smile. That's how it starts.
Turns out you can't fight magnetism any more than a bird can follow the direction to its wintering grounds. Even all those nights in the arms of others in Bellenuit couldn't erase memories of the sweetest fling he'd ever had. Older and clearly no wiser, lightning does strike again and without hesitation Monty says: "Twice."
