[METROPO HATE] Is it just me or are Metropolites super ungrateful?
I was looking at the r/Metropolis subreddit and the way some of them talk about Superman is actually insane. Like look at this comment or this or this one (jfc). Superman helped Gotham out with disaster relief ONCE three years ago and he’s still considered an honorary Gothamite. Meanwhile he saves Metropolis from city-ending disaster fucking twice a week and they spout endless bullshit about how he’s an alien and so he can’t be trusted. Batman is pretty clearly a rogue demon summoned from hell and do you see US giving him shit about that? NO!
Superman if you’re reading this we would be happy to have you here in Gotham and also rent here is about 1/3rd what it is in Metropolis. Just sayin’.
EDIT: to everybody being like “the subreddit is clearly being botted by Lex Luthor” still sounds like a skill issue to me. Have the Metropods tried simply having a better billionaire?

In order to test u/anxiouscyborg’s claim that the majority of the anti-Superman posts on r/Metropolis are from bots, I pulled and investigated all anti-Superman posts, comments, and reposts from the last 30 days.
Of these posts, 86% were uploaded by accounts that had been created within the past 60 days. Additionally, 65% of uploading accounts had posted five or fewer posts not related to Superman. Of the remaining 35% that had posted five or more unrelated posts, 83% of those unrelated posts were in support of Lex Luthor and/or Luthercorp.
Based on my investigation, botting appears to be a credible explanation for a majority of the anti-Superman sentiment on r/Metropolis. However, there is also a small but undeniable population of real users expressing genuine anti-Superman sentiment. Users who identify themselves as LuthorCorp employees appear to be the most likely to fall within this demographic (77% more likely, at a p-value of 0.008).

Back when Wayne was still feral *coughcough* I mean back before he adopted Dick Grayson, he used to feed a whole bunch of stray cats near the coffee shop where I worked. I haven’t seen him (or them) around recently but suffice to say there’s no way he would ever hurt an animal.
