You wake up.
You think you’ve been waking up for a bit the past few days too, but you probably were delirious.
You recall getting help going to the bathroom.
Embarrassing!!
You want to forget this right now.
At least you seem awake now?
And you don’t think you feel so bad this time.
Craft exhaustion was hell.
You’re glad it’s seemingly over?
Don’t jinx it!! With your luck you’d get sick right away again. You don’t want that.
You look around, everyone is still sleeping.
You quietly get out of bed. Huh. You shared a bed with Mira?
You think you’re having vague memories of panicking waking up next to Isa.
That sounds about right! That is too similar to how it was in the loops. (It wasn’t even your loops you remember that happening in, it’s been far too long to remember how it went for YOU.)
You are surprised Mira is the one sharing with you.
You’d think they would make you sleep alone on the floor.
Enough thinking!!
You go to the bathroom.
You can walk alone today!! Maybe!! You don’t know for sure but you’d rather not bother anyone again!!!
You take a few steps, wobbly, but you got this!!
Inside the bathroom, you walk up to the sink.
You look at the mirror and see…
The reflection has an eyepatch. This isn’t you, this is-
“...Stardust?”
“LOOP?!!”
You both turn your heads at the same time to look at the door. It’s quiet. Good. Didn’t wake anyone up. You put a finger to your lips, he needs to be more quiet!!
He nods. They know they should try to not wake anyone as well.
So, back to your confusion!! Why? How…
You’re looking at them, it’s just like how you remembered them- no hat, messy hair, the same eyepatch as before. Although they probably wouldn’t wear a hat first thing when waking up. You know you aren’t, despite having a hat with you.
“Did you make another wish?” If they did you don’t know how you’d react.
“No? I don’t think so????” Hm. A bit of silence before they ask you “Did you?”
“No, I didn’t.” Oh! Oh!! You missed your old mask “I was soooo busy being sick Stardust!!! How could you blame silly ol’ me!!”
They squint in response, you think that reaction is great actually.
“Did you also get craft exhaustion, Loop?”
You. Don’t say anything.
Stardust snickers.
“Hey.”
“What? It’s funny we both got sick even though you didn’t have a breakdown and went through the house alone. You didn't, right?”
“Of course not, silly~ I told my party everything right away!!”
He stares at you. They don’t believe you, do they? Well, you ARE a Siffrin, sooo bad at talking.
“Well A~N~Y~WAY~ We should both get moving before someone goes to check on us~ Toodeloo Stardust~”
You don’t know how this thing works anyway, but you can hope walking away from it was enough!! That was weird.
You exit the bathroom and realize
You didn’t do anything at all.
You need to brush your teeth.
You don’t want to talk anymore. If you saw their face right now again, you don’t know how you’d handle it.
Maybe you could go back to bed and deal with everything else later!! Problem for future you!!!
Mira stirs a bit when you get into bed, but doesn’t wake up.
You still think it’s weird. Not sharing with Isa, but that is a way to remember you’re finally out.
You should ask someone how long you’ve been out for, you’re slowing them down.
For now, you close your eyes. Sleep’s embrace takes you quick.
