Chrysanthemum

Summary:

The chrysanthemum, specifically a red chrysanthemum, represents deep love and passion. A flower commonly used in Wedding bouquets, truly is the epitome of love. A plant so beautiful and intricate in nature, no singular flower is the same. Its red and scarlet aura not only represents admiration, but also courage and strength.

Vash Saverem, a 26 year old omega, was a lot like a chrysanthemum. So full of love for others around him, not only humans but also his dear plants that he grew, that he often lost himself and his own wellbeing in the wake of caring for others. Someone who has been dealt truly an unlucky roll of the dye, but similar to a flower, hid that beneath his own petals, only showing the outer petals he wished for others to see.

___

An alpha, with blood so deeply seeped into his tanned flesh. And an omega, who wouldn’t dare let the thought of killing another pass his mind ever again. Ideals so different, but lives intertwined by fate. Will one abandon their morals in the pursuit of love? Or will the two come crashing down together?

Notes:

Hi everyone! Buckle up because this fanfic is about to be a wild ride 😭 This fanfic will feature quite a bit of graphic violence and other topics, so I will do my best to put a trigger warning before each chapter in which each will talk about! If that’s not your thing though I would suggest going back now while you can because shit is about to go DOWN…

Also this is my attempt at slow burn, but it’s not very slow so…

TW for this chapter! Violence mentioned near the end!

Plz let me know what you think of this so far!! I would love feedback 🫶

Chapter 1: Fateful Meeting

Chapter Text

The chrysanthemum, specifically a red chrysanthemum, represents deep love and passion. A flower commonly used in Wedding bouquets, truly is the epitome of love. A plant so beautiful and intricate in nature, no singular flower is the same. Its red and scarlet aura not only represents admiration, but also courage and strength.

A chrysanthemum stands tall, petals showing proudly to the world, a flower that truly shows self-confidence and undying devotion to itself.

A human so full of courage and strength, but so quick to bury the past and push it out, pretending that some of his own petals don’t exist. If it weren’t for the scars that littered his body; and most importantly, the loss of his very own left arm up to the bicep; he might forget the dark past that he hid beneath him. All he longed for was a peaceful life, living alongside the plants he oh-so loved and the people he trusted. His mind and body subconsciously yearning for the touch of another. For someone to care for, and care for him in return. To grow old together and build a life with, maybe even become a parent one day.

Vash was quick to bury that thought, knowing he was longed for a much different life. After all, who would love someone so deeply scarred and used? He shook the thought from his head, as he tended to his plants, ignoring the singular tear forming in the corner of his eye.

The sound of a bell broke the blonde man’s spiral, quickly throwing on the smile he was most used to wearing around strangers. “Welcome in!” He spoke joyfully, eyes looking up to reach what must’ve been the most handsome alpha he had ever seen. Vash subconsciously lifted his hand to his neck, breathing a small sigh of relief as he felt the familiar patch on his skin, not wanting any of his pheromones to give him away.

The man who walked in seemed out of place to put it. He wore a slick black suit, his jet black hair gelled back, a pair of black sunglasses resting on the top of his head. Vash could immediately smell the others scent, mahogany and hints of cigarette smoke felt almost intoxicating to the omega. His skin was beautifully tanned, his blazer opened enough to show his rather broad chest, an expensive golden cross necklace lying upon his caramel skin. He sported a way too expensive looking watch on his left wrist, seeming to almost pose like a model as he checked the time, looking up to meet eyes with the omega who was about ten feet in front of him.

“Hey angel, just need help finding a bouquet of flowers.” He spoke simply, seeing how the omega seemed flustered at the nickname he had given him. It took every bone the man had in his body not to very knowingly check out the other in front of him, choosing to just shove his hands into his pockets and busy his eyes with the dozens of different plants around him. He only got a quick glimpse, but those bright blue eyes hidden behind circular lenses were enough to make the man want to court him right there and then. He gently shook his head, chalking it up to a lack of sleep from the busy night before as the thoughts seemed so foreign to him.

Vash awkwardly jumped in place slightly, not being used to being complimented like so, “O-oh! U-um yes! A bouquet! I-I can do that!” He spoke quickly, almost tripping over a potted plant on the ground as he motioned for the other to follow him over. “So what’s the occasion?”

“Just ah… a small welcome gift. Something friendly.” He spoke, being as vague as possible as it took every bone in his body not to smile seeing the man be flustered in front of him. As he walked closer to the man, he noticed he couldn’t catch a scent on him as his eyes glazed upon the patch on his neck. ‘Huh, must be an omega…’

“I see! We have some pre-made bouquets available that feature sunflowers which are typically considered a more-so welcoming flower!” Vash spoke as he gingerly picked up the bouquet as he looked down into the flowers and petals, letting the aroma consume his senses. “It’s paired with some daisies and a few wheat stalks for a more rustic welcoming feel!”

The man couldn’t help but look at the omega in front of him with awe in his eyes, seeing how the man seemed to light up when talking about plants. “Y-yeah… yeah um, that works just fine.” He spoke a bit flustered, trying his best to keep his composure as he felt the familiar itch to grab a cigarette and light it right there and then.

“Perfect! I can ring you out right over here!” The blonde spoke a bit too cheerful, as he walked over to the register with a pep in his step and typed the barcode into the system. “It’s gonna be $25 today.” He spoke as he began to wrap the flowers in parchment paper so that they wouldn’t get ruined on the way over to wherever the man was going.

The man followed, nodding as he brought out a credit card from his wallet and proceeded to pay for the flowers. The blonde handed him the flowers as if he was handing him his first born child, as the man made sure to hold the flowers with care. “Thanks, what’s your name?” The man asked as he realized he hadn’t gotten the others name.

“Oh, my names Vash! And yours?” Vash spoke as he offered the stranger that signature smile, his bright blue eyes filling with curiosity.

“Nicholas D Wolfwood.” Wolfwood spoke as he gave a small smirk, he felt something inside of his chest flutter, but quickly swallowed the feeling down.

Vash gave a, incredibly charming, laugh as he smiled a bit more genuinely. “Well it’s nice to meet you Wolfwood! I hope to see you around- oh gosh did I just say that?” Vash facepalmed as he felt like he was blowing the entire conversation.

Wolfwood gave a laugh of his own, “You’re cute angel, but it’s best if you probably keep your distance from me. Wouldn’t want an angel like you to be consumed by darkness.” Wolfwood turned on his heel, giving a small wave behind his back as he left the store leaving the blonde confused.

Vash couldn’t help but feel disappointed in what the other had said, not only that but it was incredibly ominous what he said in the first place. He quickly shook it off, knowing it was probably for the best. After all, most alphas were bad news… right?

______

Wolfwood placed his gun back into the holster on his pants, having done such a clean job that not a single stain of blood laid upon him. Tilting his head to the right and the left, a crack heard each time, he brought a piece of paper out of his pocket and crossed off a name on a list.

Lorenzo Valentine
Stellar the Killer
Bails the Bolt

A sigh of relief came to his lips as he had finished his list for the night, the names and fates of those chosen already long been decided once his boss had handed him the list only a few hours ago. Moving swiftly and with ease, he began to dispose of the body, arranging it in a way that the cleanup crew would be able to find it easily. Finally, grabbing one of the flowers from the bouquet from earlier and placing it by the body. Did he like the scum he killed? Absolutely not. But the religious man in him wanted to at least give them a proper “burial” of sorts.

Pulling out a cigarette from his pocket, doing his signature stim of tossing his lighter into the air, then lighting the smoke between his fingers. He inhaled deeply, letting the smoke marinate in his lungs, before breathing out a stream of smoke from his lips. Cigarettes always tasted the best and satisfied all cravings right after a kill.

During the day, Nicholas D Wolfwood was who he was known as to most people. To the outside world, one of the top employees of a high and prestigious company known as the Eye of Michael. During the night is when Nicholas D Wolfwood was dead, the punisher roaming the streets to rid the world of scum they saw unfit to continue on living.

That prestigious company he worked at? All a lie. In reality, the Eye of Michael was well known in the underground world in the city of July, being one of the most deadly Mafias out there. Only the best of the best were members of so called “employees”, and being one made sure that you lived a lavish lifestyle on the outside, but in reality your soul was basically bound to a contract that forbid them of ever leaving.

He brought out his phone, letting his boss know he was done for the night as the cleanup crew would arrive soon. He made his way around the corner, finding his motorcycle lovingly named ‘Angelina’ still parked in the same spot. He got on, kicking the stand beneath him as he made his way back to his apartment.

____

Vash made his way back to his apartment, feeling bummed that the Alpha, to him at least, seemingly didn’t want the same thing Vash had in mind. He sighed softly, putting the key into the door, turning it clock-wise, and pushing the door open. The familiar scent of lavender and vanilla filled his nose as he felt himself relax knowing one of his roommates, and best friends, was home.

“Oh hey Vash, welcome back.” Meryl spoke as she was seemingly busy in the kitchen, spreading what looked like a whole essay with what had to be 10 different photos all over the table. She looked down at the photos, seeming annoyed as she sighed and sat back in the chair.

“Hey Meryl, still stuck on trying to put that report together?” Vash questioned with a small laugh as he closed the door, and locked it, behind him as he set his bag down and made his way over to his friend.

“Yeah, I mean this is my big chance to show the company that I can write a compelling article! It’s not everyday you hear that random people are getting killed on the streets, but it’s not just random, each having been past criminals or convicted of some awful act.” Meryl rubbed at her temples as Vash took his scent patch off, putting his wrist up to the woman’s neck. With both of them being omegas, the two were able to do small acts like this and calm each other in times of need.

“I will say it is quite strange, I mean it’s not just random people. That being said you’ve gotta be careful Meryl, we both know how dangerous it can be on the streets especially for omegas.” Vash said solemnly, he wished things were different, but it’s not like he could change things that easily. Rome wasn’t built in a day.

“I know, I know.” Meryl said slightly annoyed, she truly was the most feisty omega Vash knew. She took in his scent. “What about you, why are you so down? Did something happen to you? I’ll go get my bat-“

“No no! That’s not it at all!” Vash corrected Meryl, feeling grateful that his friend cared so much, but also wishing she wasn’t so quick to jump to conclusions sometimes. “If I tell you just don’t freak out ok?” He spoke softly as he sat down in the chair next to the blue haired woman.

Meryl side eyed him, narrowing her eyes, and pretending to hold a bat in her hand. “No promises…”

Vash laughed softly as a rosy pink dusted his cheeks, “I actually uh… met an alpha today-“

“VASH! Wait don’t tell me, someone finally catch your eye?!” Meryl basically jumped up as her eyes seemed to sparkle at the idea. This was the first time Vash had shown interest in someone, and Meryl had known him since he was 18.

Vash got even more flustered hearing this, “Hey this isn’t a big deal Meryl! Besides I asked if I would see him around and he gave me a very ominous answer.” Vash spoke getting disappointed near the end, leaning on the table and resting his head onto his hand.

“Ominous? What did he say?” Meryl pushed the omega further, tilting her head slightly in confusion.

“He called me cute but said I should probably keep my distance from him. Something about how I shouldn’t end up in darkness?” Vash sighed softly as he didn’t even know what the other man meant.

“Hm… interesting. Sounds pretty vague. But he called you cute! He’s gotta be attracted to you! If you meet again, it’s gotta be a fateful encounter!” Meryl said with a bit too much enthusiasm, seems like her mate Milly really was rubbing off on her.

Vash laughed nervously, “I doubt that, maybe was just trying to flirt with me to get a discount or something.” the words that came out of his mouth he didn’t even believe. He didn’t know Wolfwood sure, but he could tell he had the eyes of a good guy.

“Well you never know unless you try! Promise me you’ll give him your number next time you see him? Please?” Meryl basically begged the blonde in front of her. “You’re 26 Vash, if you ever want to settle down you’ve gotta do it soon!”

The blonde omega gave a nervous laugh, “I’ve told you before, I’m perfectly fine with just me and my plants.” Vash spoke with a hint of solemn in his voice, as they both knew that’s not what he wanted at all.

Meryl looked at him and blinked once, giving him an annoyed look. “Please, Vash I’ve seen your Pinterest board. You want a beach-side wedding, a farm-style house with a huge garden, and like what- ten kids?” Meryl joked at the last part.

Vash laughed a bit more genuinely this time, “Not like ten- more like three or four?” Vash looked away nervously, he grew up in a small family - just him, his twin brother, and their mom - so he always dreamed of having a big family. Besides, he loved kids; especially pups. The older he got, the bigger the hole in his heart grew that reminded him his biological clock was ticking, and he didn’t have much time left to settle down and have kids of his own.

“That’s even more than me and Milly want!- and Milly has like, 10 siblings or something!” Meryl laughed gently as she could see her friend deep down was hurting. “You deserve to be happy Vash, even with what’s happened in the past.” Meryl was gentle brining up the last part, not wanting to re-open old wounds.

Vash simply nodded, sighing softly as he knew his friend was right. “Yeah you’re right, thanks Meryl. That means a lot to me.” He gave her a small genuine smile, standing up to stretch his limbs. “I’m gonna shower then hit the hay, couldn’t sleep much last night from all the noise-“

“Vash! You could hear that?!” Meryl yelled out with red cheeks as she felt utterly embarrassed as Vash looked back and laughed genuinely.

“Nah just a lucky guess!” He said cheerfully as he ran to the bathroom before Meryl could catch up to him with her bat.

Chapter 2: Second Chance

Notes:

WOW! Thanks for all the love so far guys 😭🫶 I didn’t expect this many people so far to like my silly little idea! It means a lot to me!

As a treat, here’s the next chapter early before I go out of town! I do have a flight so I mayhaps will try to write some on the plane too!

Chapter Text

A week went by since the day Vash had the encounter with the alpha, thoughts plagued his mind of the other and he wanted nothing more than to see him again. What Meryl had said to him had stuck like glue to his mind. He knew he had to find the courage to be bold to Wolfwood if he did get the chance to see him again, besides what’s a little danger? Danger is something Vash was painfully aware of from his younger days. Besides, Wolfwood basically playing hard to get just made Vash more persistent, hell, he would chase the man down if he had to.

What the hell was he even thinking?! Vash took a deep breath in and out, his heat must be coming soon, that would explain the thoughts in his mind. His body was just desperately trying to find an alpha to spend his heat with him, that’s all, nothing more.

He wouldn’t let the thoughts of his beautiful tanned skin, or his striking nose and beautiful deep brown eyes bother him. Or how the man’s scent of mahogany and cigarettes made his insides feel all warm, like they were on fire, a fire he felt like he was on the verge of turning into burning passionate flames. Or how-

That familiar bell sound he heard everyday broke his thoughts once more, he quickly snapped out of it. “Welcome in-“ Vash began to speak as he suddenly caught the smell of the person who came inside, a scent he wasn’t sure he was going to be able to smell again, yet was one he welcomed with open arms. “You’re back!” Vash said like a lost puppy, as he looked a bit too happy at the other man he had only ever met once.

A smirk came onto Wolfwood’s face, “That happy to see me again angel?” He spoke gently as he approached the blonde. The nickname made something stir inside Vash once more. “Your flowers were a hit, came back to get some more.” Was Wolfwood lying out of his teeth? Absolutely. Did Wolfwood want to see the omegas face light up? More than anything. He had never met someone who seemed to personify an angel before, and he couldn’t quite let go of their fateful encounter. No matter how much he felt like he was being selfish, knowingly putting the other at risk just speaking with him.

Vash’s eyes lit up even more, something Wolfwood didn’t even think was possible. “Really? Oh I’m so glad!” The blonde spoke as Wolfwood swore he could hear a soft purr come from within the omega in front of him. “What’s the occasion today?”

“Going to see a new client, figured flowers would be a warm welcome.” He said, lying through his teeth as the person he wasn’t going to see technically wasn’t a client. In reality he was on his way to go make a business deal with a very wealthy and powerful company CEO. A meeting he hoped would go well, as its success would ensure medical supplies and aid for everyone in his own organization.

“Ah I have just the flowers then!” Vash smiled as he excitedly made his way over to some of the freshly grown flowers. Typically he would lead customers over to the pre-made bouquets, but this way was more personalized and slower. Was it selfish of Vash? Maybe. But he finally had the alpha back in his orbit, and he wasn’t quite ready to let go again.

“Lillies represent a new beginning, mixing it in with some daffodils which represent renewal, and… oh! Some lotus’s to symbolize a change!” Vash spoke gently, a glimmer in his eyes as he gingerly picked up the flowers and began to arrange them rhythmically into a bouquet.

Wolfwood watched the other arrange the bouquet, swallowing down the question he so desperately wanted to ask, the question scratching at the back of his throat. “Yeah, those sound great.” The black haired man spoke gently, absent mindedly putting his hand over his scent gland as to muffle his own scent that he could tell was filling the room.

“Great!” Vash chirped cheerfully as he walked over and wrapped the flowers up in plastic wrap as to keep the flowers safe during travel. “I can ring you out again over here.” The blonde watched the black haired man walk over as he took a mental note noticing that the two were a similar height.

Vash continued to ring him out, printing out the receipt and grabbing a pen, hands slightly shaking as he carefully wrote his name and phone number onto the bottom of the receipt. He then handed the receipt to the man with that signature smile.

Wolfwood looked down at the receipt curiously, wondering what the blonde had written onto the flimsy paper as his eyes widened slightly seeing his number. “Bold today aren’t we Blondie?” He spoke with a small endearing laugh as he gave the man a new nickname.

Vash laughed nervously as he put his prosthetic hand behind his head as he looked away, not daring to make eye contact. “Heh yeah! I-I’ve actually had a pretty tough time getting you off my mind lately… so… I hope to hear from you soon?”

Wolfwood couldn’t help but smile, “You’re persistent, I like that.” He was used to getting hit on, sure, but it wasn’t often that he felt this attracted to someone who had hit on him before. He folded the paper, putting it into his pocket as he made a mental note for later. He put his sunglasses back on, grabbing the bouquet of flowers carefully yet again.

“I’ll see you around Blondie!” The alpha said as he began to walk out, joking with the other as he bit back the desire to show his affection back to the omega. He couldn’t do it, he can’t put him in harms way, but he also didn’t want to let down the omega.

Vash opened his mouth to speak once-more, but words failed to come out. He felt his heart sink a bit, as he was filled with mixed emotions, not getting a direct answer from the alpha.

___

Upon entering the building, Wolfwood made his way to the elevators, having been told beforehand to go up to the 12th floor of the large building, one of the top floors that truly had a breathtaking view of the city. Getting off the elevator, he was met by who he assumed to be the CEO’s assistant. A man with dark blue hair covering part of his face, slightly tanned skin, and standing a bit shorter than Wolfwood was.

The man seemed to peer down to his clip board, “Nicholas D Wolfwood, or should I say, The Punisher. Right on time, I’ll take you to his office.” He spoke without looking up as he briskly began to walk as Wolfwood took the hint and quickly followed behind.

As Wolfwood entered the office, he was immediately hit by the overwhelming scent of the alpha that filled the entire room. Choking back a gag, he walked forward following the other blue haired man in front of him as the beta took his place beside the alphas desk. Smells of sage and pine were strong and present, but what surprised Wolfwood even more, was similar blue eyes peering up at him as the man, presumably the CEO of the company, looked him up and down.

The man had pristine pale skin, only a small mole laid under his right eye. Brilliant bright blue eyes looked back at him, but not with a gentle and kind aura like he had seen from a certain someone, replaced by a stern and unforgiving look. His bright blonde hair was gelled back neatly, a crisp white suit laid upon his flesh, not a single stain or wrinkle in sight.

The blonde alpha was the first to speak up, a small smirk coming to his lips. “Nicholas D Wolfwood, or shall I say The Punisher. It’s a pleasure to formally meet you. I’m Millions Knives, the CEO and founder here at Millions Co.”

Wolfwood lifted up his sunglasses, showing his deep brown eyes. A million thoughts ran through his head… how did this guy have such similar eyes to the omega he had seen before? Was he the Millions Knives, the one he had heard tales and stories about in the underground world? What good could he do for someone this high in power?

The dark haired alpha quickly cut his inner thoughts short, reaching his hand out and returning a firm handshake. “Nice to finally meet you as well. Millions Knives huh? Guess I should’ve known from the name of the company.” Wolfwood gave a small laugh as he returned his hands to his pockets, the blonde alpha motioning for him to sit down as the other alpha gladly took the seat making himself comfortable.

“I took a look at the request you sent over shortly before your arrival, you request my medical teams supplies and assistance correct?” Knives spoke, jumping straight into business talk as he folded his hands together on the desk in front of him, looking directly at the other alpha.

Wolfwood responded with a nod. ”Yup, you hit the nail on the head. Of course I don’t expect you to do it for free, I’m sure there’s some way my organization can be of use to the Millions Knives.”

Another smirk curved onto the blonde alphas lips, “Right, I’ve given it some thought and I have the perfect job for your organization, or more specifically you to do.”

Wolfwood raised a brow, giving a confused yet intrigued look as he crossed one leg over the other. “Go on.”

“I don’t know if you’re aware but, I have a brother, a twin brother actually. He’s an omega actually. He has a knack for somehow always attracting trouble it seems, and being an omega especially, I don’t want anything bad to happen to him.” Knives spoke in a mono-tone voice, Wolfwood finally putting the pieces of the puzzle together in his own mind. “I want you to keep an eye on him, make sure that no one is after him. We both have a rather dark past, and I’d rather not let old skeletons get out of the closet.”

Wolfwood stayed silent for a moment, dark past huh? The more he found out about that angel on earth, the more he felt pulled into his orbit. “So you want me to follow him around like some creep then?” He finally spoke up, sounding unsure as the whole thing seemed a bit creepy to him, especially since he himself was an alpha.

“Not follow him so to say, befriend him. Spend some time with him, keep an eye on him.” Knives kept his eyes narrowed on the dark haired alpha in front of him. “As long as nothing bad happens to my brother, your organization can get all the supplies and help you need. Do we have a deal?”

Wolfwood thought for a moment, he must be dreaming, this seemed way too good to be true. Seal the deal of the century without paying a cent for medical supplies and care, and get to befriend and get close to an angel on earth? Sign him the hell up. Sure there had to be some downside, but he wasn’t going to think of that right now. “Deal.”

Knives smirked, watching his assistant grab the paperwork, as he first signed his name on one line then directed Wolfwood to do the same on the line beneath his. The deal had been made.

___

Vash sighed, putting his hands over his face as he plopped down onto the couch. “I can’t believe I actually saw him again… I feel like I blew it even more!” He spoke to his two roommates, Milly and Meryl, as he began to unwind from the day.

Meryl walked over taking a seat next to the male omega, gently rubbing his back as she smiled gently at him, “Vash don’t say that! I’m sure it went better than you thought it did! I mean you gave him your number!”

Milly stepped into the room from the kitchen, “Meryl’s right as usual! You should be proud of yourself for gaining the courage to do that!” The female alpha said in her familiar cheerful voice, always there to provide support to Vash when he most needed it.

Vash leaned back onto the couch, “Thanks guys… I just… he didn’t give me an answer? He just said he would ‘see me around’.” The blonde let disappointment seep into his voice as he looked up at the ceiling with watery eyes, Vash Saverem was not about to cry over an alpha…

Or he was. Tears streamed down his face as he quickly threw his hands over his face, trying to cover up the fact he was crying. Meryl just gently put her hand onto his back, letting her friend get his emotions out into the open.

After a moment of Vash’s soft cries heard into the air, he stood up, uncovering his face as he dried his own tears. “No, I can’t give up! This is something I’ve wanted for so long and it’s so close!” He said passionately as Meryl and Milly couldn’t help but smile and laugh a bit at how quickly the omega had switched tones.

“That’s the spirit Vash!” Milly said proudly as she clapped her hands together. “Perhaps one day we could all go on a double date of sorts! I think that would be fun!” The brunette alpha said without a care in the world as she then went back into the kitchen, continuing to cook the meal she was prepping beforehand.

Meryl patted his back, “Why don’t you go take a shower and the three of us can have dinner once you’re done.” She suggested as Vash gave a small nod, getting up and heading over to the bathroom the three of them shared.

The blue haired omega made her way over to her mate, “I’m kinda worried about Vash, he’s been acting a bit strange lately. Maybe it’s his body reacting differently to having interest in an alpha when his heat is approaching.” Meryl spoke as she paced the small room that was the kitchen, smells of roasted vegetables and rice filled her nose.

Milly continued to cook, pondering her lovers words for a moment. “It’s probably that! I’m sure he’s fine! Besides I think some company is good for him, he deserves to be surrounded by more people who love and care for him!”

Meryl couldn’t help but smile as she looked over at the alpha besides her, “You always know what to say Milly, you’re so sweet. You’re right, I’m sure he’ll be ok.” The omega placed a kiss onto the alpha’s cheek as she helped prepare dinner for the three of them.

Chapter Text

The young boy’s hands shook, a shiver engulfing his spine as he looked at the scene in front of him. Blood stained beautifully tanned skin, painting the canvas that was his face. The rush of adrenaline was fresh and present, the only feeling coursing through him was focused on survival. The boys’ younger brother clawed at the back of his shirt, tears soaking the black cloth that laid upon his back.

Silence filled the air, only the boys’ fast paced breath was heard for what seemed like an eternity. He gripped the gun in his hands, holding on for dear life, fearing that if he let go he wouldn’t be in control anymore. The boy never imagined he would hold, let alone shoot, a gun. He didn’t know where his life was headed, but knew that his fate was now sealed.

“Livio… you have to run… as far as you can…” the boy’s tone gentle but firm. “I’ll take care of the rest from here…”

“No Nico you can’t! I won’t leave you!” The silver haired boy cried harder into the older boys back as he gripped the shirt for dear life.

“I said leave! If you stay here any longer we’re both gonna get caught!” The boy presumably named Nico yelled firmly and a bit more harsh than he would’ve liked.

The younger boy kept crying, only choosing to listen to his brother as he saw the figure in front of the two begin to get up once more. He started to run, running as far as he could, as far away from the nightmare that the two had just faced.

Nico’s hands shook fiercely, “Don’t move! I’m not afraid to shoot again!” The boy spat with venom in his voice as he felt bile begin to fill his throat, the smell of blood truly was putrid.

The guy in front of him gave a small but evil laugh, “Damn brat… just look at you! Your hands are shaking so much I doubt you’d be able to pull the trigger again!” The man spat as he grabbed his own gun once more, pointing it at the young boy in front of him. Killing a child in cold blood wasn’t quite his idea of fun, but if it meant saving his own skin, he gladly would pull the trigger.

Nick glared daggers at the disgusting man in front of him, “You’re disgusting! What were you planning to do with my brother anyway?!”

The man gave a loud cynical laugh, “Curious one aren’t we? What do you think I was gonna do to him? A pretty little fresh omega like him is only good for one thing!”

Nico felt his blood boil, of course this pedo wanted to do unspeakable things to his younger brother. His fate was already sealed, hell if he had any other option he would. He swallowed hard, aiming right at the man’s chest as he pulled the trigger without a second thought. Hot, fresh blood hit his tanned skin once more, as a thought crossed his mind that made him want to puke right there and then. While thoughts should have been filling his head of remorse and guilt, the opposite was true. He actually enjoyed killing this disgusting excuse of a human being.

This was the moment that Nico realized, he was nothing but a monster.

A man wearing a fedora and trench coat came out from behind one of the nearby buildings, giving a small slow clap as the young boy began to lower his gun. “Excellent my boy, you truly are a marvel.”

Nico glared over at the older man, wondering if he would have to kill this guy too in order to survive himself. “Who the hell are you?”

“Just an observer, an observer who is in desperate need of molding the future of this world. Now you have two options.” The man stopped short of Nico, showing no hesitation to be in such close proximity to the newly found killer. “One, you can come with me and join my organization. I’ll mold you into the perfect decider of justice. Or… two. I could turn you in for murdering a man in cold blood.”

The boy’s heart pounded in his chest, as he knew immediately the choice he had to make. After all, maybe this was the perfect job for someone so sick and twisted as himself.

___

Training wasn’t as easy as the young boy hoped it would be. Only being 14 years old, a freshly presented alpha, his workout regiment was nothing short of brutal. He bent down to the ground, blood and mucus painting the floor as he failed to catch his breath.

“Nicholas, you need to get stronger,” the man, who Nico had found out was named William Conrad, spoke harshly as he walked over to the boy. “What will happen if another adult comes near your dear precious brother again? Will you let them lay a hand onto his flesh? That’s not what the punisher stands for.”

Nick caught his breath as he barred his fangs at the thought, a deep growl emitting from his throat as he got up once more and continued to work himself into the ground.

One year later from that fateful day, Nicholas’s fate had been sealed. Nico was now dead. In turn, the punisher was now born. Nick spent his time on the streets, using his various weapons to kill and dispose of any people he deemed unfit to continue on living. Some days he would have a list, others he was the one to decide who to rid the earth of. He finally reached the point of no return, signing his entire body and soul away to the infamous group known as the Eye of Michael. A large almost cross shaped tattoo covered his back, showing his devotion to the group that had saved his very own skin. Although his original intent was to create a better world for his brother Livio, he hadn’t seen nor heard from his brother since that fateful day.

Now 24 years old, having been in his regular routine now for over 10 years, Nicholas D Wolfwood was now in high ranks in the Eye of Michael, working right under William Conrad himself. Standing at around 6’1, heavily muscular from all his training, and being physically attractive to boot, from the outside Nick seemed like he had it all.

In reality? Nick’s life had died that very day when he was 14. With his soul and very body sold away to keep his own life continuing and to make the streets a safer place for omegas like his brother, Nick didn’t have time to find a family of his own. Sure there were times he had one night stands with people, but no one truly satisfied his inner alpha. Besides, there’s no way he would ever be able to settle down with someone of his own. Who would want a deeply emotionally damaged alpha anyway?

That was what he thought until he met a certain blonde haired omega, truly an angel on this earth, with the most brilliantly bright blue eyes Nicholas had ever seen. After their first encounter, Nick found himself thinking of the omega often. First starting off with more innocent thoughts, turned into something that Nick could only describe as a deep desire to be with the omega and claim him as his own. No one had ever driven his mind so wild before, and he was quickly becoming addicted to the drug that was Vash Saverem.

After a week of their fateful encounter, Nick couldn’t take it anymore. He had to see him again, something he admitted was deeply selfish and thoughtless, but was something he simply couldn’t help himself from doing. Lucky for him, he had a meeting with the CEO of a certain medical company known as ‘Millions Co.’. What better way to make a good first impression than to bring some flowers? And the only flower shop nearby happened to be the one that beautiful omega worked at…

Before the dark haired alpha could even ponder the thought, he was already at the doors of Seeds. His heart pounded with such fierceness and intensity that Nick thought he was gonna have a heart attack before even seeing the angel again. He took a deep breath, collecting his composure before walking into the store, knowing his fate was once again sealed.

Now, Wolfwood sat back in his office chair, a sigh escaping his lips as he looked out the window at the beautiful skyline of the city. The receipt paper with the blonde’s number on it laid between his fingers, as the man contemplated with himself on what to do. Did Knives and him make a deal for Wolfwood to keep an eye on Vash? Yes. Did that deal include being romantically involved with him? Absolutely not, and especially not for anything else Wolfwood had in mind for the two.

But…How much longer could Wolfwood continue to sacrifice his own happiness for the price of others? Thinking of the blonde brought out something deep within Nick, something so primal and raw.

After all Nicholas D Wolfwood was a selfish person…

He picked up his phone, typing the number into his phone and sending a text without another thought.

‘Hey Angel, you free tomorrow night?’

Chapter Text

Vash looked at himself in the mirror, this was the fifth outfit he had tried on, none seeming to satisfy the look he was going for. This was the first real date he’d been on in years, and his mind was unrelenting as ever. He finally got the date he had been dreaming of for two weeks now, and he wanted to look perfect for Wolfwood.

Vash sported a tight sleeveless turtle neck top, with form fitting leather pants, and a pair of sleek black boots. He looked at himself in the mirror once more, “Perhaps a bit too much?” The blonde laughed softly as he noticed how tight the entire outfit was, but hey, Vash was hoping for something a bit more tonight than just a few drinks. Vash basically facepalmed at the idea, ’what the hell am I thinking? My heat must be coming soon or something…’ The male quickly threw a scent patch over the gland on his neck, not wanting any other alphas to bother him during the night.

His phone lit up, showing the time was already 8:15 pm. His eyes gazed over to the screen, quickly grabbing his phone as he threw his signature oversized red coat on. “Shit I’m gonna be late!” He continued to run out the door, making sure to lock it behind him, as he walked to the bar that was only a few blocks away from his apartment.

The bar, despite it only being around 8:30 at the time, was already quite busy. Multiple alphas, betas, and omegas were scattered around the dance floor, some grinding on top of one another or heavily making out. Some just chilled in the corner, sipping on a cocktail or two, chatting with others. Vash walked further inside, spotting the familiar figure already at the bar, sipping on what looked like a rum and coke.

“Hey there, sorry I’m a bit late,” Vash spoke gently as he gave a small laugh as he sat down next to the alpha. He noticed a drink already placed in the spot in front of him, he breathed in, noticing the signature smell of strawberries as his eyes lit up.

“No worries Angel, got you a drink if that’s alright. You seem like a fruit guy to me so I ordered you a strawberry daiquiri.” The alpha gave a gentle smirk as he seemed to perk up at the presence of the omega. He looked more casual, not having his hair gelled back like usual. He sported a grey button up shirt, with half of the buttons done which seemed to frame his chest perfectly. The gold cross laying gently upon his chest, and an expensive watch cupping his left wrist. Somehow he looked even more attractive than the first two times they met, something Vash didn’t even consider as possible.

“Thank you! These are my favorite actually, omegas typically tend to prefer fruitier alcoholic drinks actually.” Vash spoke as he brought his lips to the straw located in the drink, letting the sweet drink hit his tongue.

‘So he is an omega.’ Wolfwood thought to himself, confirming his suspicion when he noticed yet another scent patch located on the others neck. Although the alpha would do almost anything to get a smell of the sweet omega, he didn’t dare let his instincts take over. After all, he knew how dangerous the world was now-a-days for omegas.

After a few more drinks, Vash’s eyes lit up as he heard a particular song that he liked, ushering the other to the dance floor. On the way there, Vash stopped the other man, pausing to take off his own coat.

Defined and toned muscles shown in the omegas abdomen, peaking through the tight compression shirt. His pants tight and perfectly showing the contours of his ass, his shiny blue metal prosthetic arm shining brilliantly with all the flashing lights around. Wolfwood paused, getting a familiar tight feeling in his pants as he honed himself not to pounce right onto the man. He truly felt he could spend the rest of his life just looking at the omega.

Vash’s face turned red as he saw Wolfwood eyeing him up and down, “Like what you see?” Vash whispered gently as he walked towards the other once more. It took every bit of confidence he had in him not to hide in the safety of his own jacket again.

Wolfwood reached forward, placing his hands firmly, showing slight possessiveness, onto the others surprisingly small waist. “God damn angel, trying to give me a heart attack?” He laughed gently as he looked into Vash’s ocean blue eyes. “You’re absolutely breathtaking.”

Vash bit his bottom lip, showing off his smaller yet still prominent canines. He looked the alpha up and down himself, loving how the other had unbuttoned his shirt so low, giving Vash a true sight to see. “Says yourself,” Vash let out a chuckle as he led the two onto the dance floor, wasting no time as he turned his back to the others chest and joining their body’s together.

He slowly began to grind onto the other, grinding against his member as he was surprised to feel how hard the alpha was already. Vash felt Wolfwood thrust against his ass as the two found a joined rhythm, each enjoying each others feel. Vash reached his hand up to cup Wolfwood’s cheek, “You feel amazing.” The blonde whispered into his ear, intoxicated by the feeling of the others member against him. He breathed in, noticing the intense scent of the alpha. Mahogany and cigarette smoke filled his nostrils, a smell that was quickly becoming almost intoxicating to the blonde. His skin was sleek with sweat from dancing with the other, as his own scent patch began to peel slightly at the edges.

Wolfwood smirked, breathing in the blonde’s unique scent. To say that his scent was intoxicating was an understatement. The other smelling so delectable and arousing that it took everything in him not to knot the man there and then. Hibiscus and rose water filled the alpha’s senses, turning on Wolfwood more than he could’ve ever imagined. A low growl escaped the alpha’s throat as he immediately forced himself to stop the noise not wanting to seem overly possessive. Guilt and shame crossed over his body as he felt just as disgusting as the scum he killed on a daily basis, the thoughts he was having spinning in his head making him dizzy.

Instead, Vash gave a small laugh, reaching up and kissing the alpha’s cheek. “It’s ok, I don’t mind. I feel safe, trust me.” He spoke gently as he couldn’t quite describe it, but something about the alpha just felt like home.

A few more songs, and a few more drinks later, the two were feeling a bit tipsy, but not to the point of inebriation. Wolfwood had noticed a few other alphas throughout the night that seemed to have an eye on Vash, something he deeply disliked and something that brought up the raw emotion to protect the other. The alpha leaned closer to the omega, his breath hot on the others neck. “Do you… want to take this back to my place?” He asked gently, wanting to make his intentions known but also not wanting to seem like every other alpha with only one thought in their mind.

Vash felt his throat tighten up, this was exactly what he wanted sure, but this also meant being incredibly vulnerable to the other. Was he ready to face the ridicule he may face from the other? He decided to test the waters. He put his hands gently onto the chest of the alpha, “I would love to but… I don’t exactly… look how you think I may down there.”

Wolfwood paused for a moment, trying to figure out what the other was referring to. It then clicked in his head, his eyes trailed down to the others pants as he put it together. He looked back at the man in front of him with that same smirk, “Oh trust me I dont mind at all angel.”

Vash felt a wave of relief go over him, but only half the battle was over. He smiled gently as he grabbed the others hand, throwing his coat over his other shoulder, “I’m glad, really.” He said probably more emotion showing than he should have. “Now let’s go back to your place.”

___

To say that Vash was in awe of the upscale apartment Wolfwood owned could be an understatement. Sure, Vash was used to seeing fancy places as his brother owned a multi-billion dollar company, but the view from his apartment was incredible.

Right in the heart of July, the apartment located in a sky-scraper building, lit up by the lights in the city. The lights shone brightly, mimicking the night sky on a clear night. Vash’s eyes sparkled, looking out the window as he leaned his hand gently against the strong glass. “What a beautiful view…”

Wolfwood walked up behind him, secretly admiring the others ass from behind. “Likewise Blondie.” He joked as he saw the omega turn around blushing. The alpha laughed gently, “Not used to being complimented huh? Well you better get used to it if I’m around.” He spoke proudly, fondness seeping through his words.

Vash felt a warmth within his core as he smiled genuinely at the other, a smile that differed so greatly from the one he first gave at the flower shop the day the two had met. “I could get used to that.” He spoke honestly, gaining the courage within him. He turned around and led the other quickly to the bed he saw out of the corner of his eye. The bed was huge. A king sized bed, with a light grey bedspread and fuzzy black duvet. He fell backwards onto the bed, enjoying the comfort and plushness the duvet provided.

The alpha bent over him, gently holding one hand onto his cheek, and the other roaming to his hip. A passionate kiss was placed onto the omegas plush lips, one he returned with such eagerness and excitement. It didn’t take long for clothes to be taken off, the two only left in their undergarments as Wolfwood pulled back to admire the man below him.

He was shocked at just how many scars the other had, all over his torso and arms, scars that had long since been healed. He lifted his hand, running it gently over the two scars underneath the man’s chest, a move which made Vash fill with anxiety not knowing how the other was feeling. Just as Vash was about to open his mouth and speak, he felt the alpha bend down and place a tender kiss onto both of the scars. “Absolutely gorgeous.” The man spoke as he looked down at the omega, admiring him once more.

Vash felt his heart rate settle hearing this, his anxiety and worries all fading away as for the first time in his life, he felt truly admired and loved for who he truly was. The real him. Vash smiled gently, “You’re embarrassing me,” he joked covering part of his face with his hand as he laughed gently.

Peeking over his hand, the omega admired the other, who looked even better with almost nothing on. Dark hair danced across the man’s chest, pausing at his defined abs only to continue on his lower abdomen, leading to something Vash wanted to explore more of. A, albeit large and very hard to miss, bulge sat at his trousers, showing just how excited the man was to see the others body. A rosy blush dusted pale skin, as Vash looked up with his big blue eyes, hand going up to his scent patch as he peeled at the edge. “Do you mind if I… take my patch off?”

Wolfwood never thought the other would ask, and honestly, he wanted to be consumed in the others scent. An eager grin crossed his face, as he bent down and placed a kiss onto rosy cheeks. “I would love that angel, but just let me know if you ever feel uncomfortable alright? I don’t want to make you feel unsafe.” He spoke gently, with reassurance filling his deep voice, wanting the other to know that they could stop at any time.

Vash appreciated what the alpha had said, going as far as to absentmindedly give a small purr in his throat. “Thank you,” he said gently as he peeled back the scent patch, his aroused scent filling the room and intertwining with the alpha’s. The scents danced together, seeming to mingle perfectly with one another, the smells of mahogany and rose water complimenting each other beautifully. That familiar scent filled the alpha’s nostrils, the intensity so strong he felt his mind become slightly fuzzy, a feeling that was mutual for the omega.

Vash was the first to speak up, “Please Wolfwood… I need you.” He almost whined into the others ear as he seemed to squirm in his boxers, slick soaking the fabric as he was continuously aroused by the other.

Wolfwood wasted no time, bending down and beginning to suck on the omegas neck, at first a gentle suction, soon turning to more rough as his teeth grazed pale skin. Moans of what Wolfwood could only describe of an angel’s were heard underneath him, Wolfwood gently grinding his hips onto the others soaked boxers. One arm held himself up, while the other began to rub and pinch perfectly pinkish-tan nipples. The alpha felt like he could already cum just at the sounds emitted by the omega underneath him, his member hard and leaking pre-cum as his own boxers were getting soaked.

Beautiful purple marks were left on the omegas neck, as the alpha noticed how wet the other was, he tugged at the omegas boxers. The omega was quick to take them off, the alpha moving down south as he wasted no time beginning to kiss at pretty pink folds leaking underneath him. The omegas scent was intoxicating, the alpha drinking up every drop the other leaked, moving his tongue to work inside the folds of the omega.

The sounds Vash made only got more intense as his moans of pleasure filled the air, soon enough a wave of pleasure crossed the omegas body as he pulsated, having a sweet release right into the alphas ready and willing mouth. Wolfwood drank up as if he saw an oasis in the desert, feeling as if he could die happily right there and now. His member in his ever-so-tight boxers was now throbbing like it never had before, wanting nothing more than to feel tight walls around his cock. Nicholas D Wolfwood was a gentleman, though, and was a service top through and through. He would wait for the others command before he dared to slip inside the intoxicating walls.

Vash panted heavily, catching his breath as he felt what must’ve been the most satisfying release of his life. But, his cravings were not yet quite satisfied. He continued to leak, slick soaking his legs as he gave a whine, “Please… inside… alpha…” was all the omega was able to whimper, as finally hearing the words Wolfwood was waiting to hear, his mind went completely foggy.

He tore his boxers off at a record breaking pace, lining himself up with the entrance of the omega, as he slowly slid himself inside, stretching out the omega beneath him. Vash moaned loud, pain and pleasure coursing through his veins as his mind was focused on one thing. The alpha filling him up. Vash clawed at Wolfwood’s back, scratching at the inked skin that lined his spine. It didn’t take long for the omega to get used to the alphas rather girthy size as he bottomed out. The two paused for a moment, catching their breaths as the alpha felt his dick throb inside the tight walls.

It only took a moment, before the alpha began to thrust into the omega, thrusting as if his life depended on it. Moans from both men filled the air as Vash yelled out in pleasure as Wolfwood hit just the right spot. Tears filled the omegas eyes out of pure ecstasy, rolling down his cheeks as the alpha pounded hard inside.

“In or out.” The alpha said simply as he felt his dick throb harder, close to cumming inside of the other but wanting to give him a choice. If it was up to him, he would choose to cum inside of the omega without another choice.

“I-inside, inside… please-“ the omega begged as Wolfwood wasted no time with one more deep thrust as he came deep within the omega. He felt a knot begin to swell, locking the two together as they both panted heavily, catching their breaths as Vash had came at the same time too, covering the sheets.

After a few moments, Wolfwood was the first to speak up, “S-sorry, I didn’t expect a knot to form like this.” He spoke gently, not wanting to alarm the other as he was pretty damn sure the other already felt the knot.

Vash stayed silent for a moment, continuing to catch his breath as he peeked down at his abdomen, noticing the bulge of where the knot resided as well as his slightly distended abdomen, filled to the brim with the others seed. He placed a hand gently onto his abdomen, feeling full yet satisfied as he gave a small smile up to the alpha. “That’s ok, I kinda expected you to knot me. Besides… that was incredible.”

Wolfwood let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding in as he smirked down at the omega beneath him, placing a kiss onto his forehead. “You said it Blondie. Dare I say best sex of my life.”

“Likewise.” Vash spoke as he continued to catch his breath, keeping his hand on his abdomen as he got comfortable with the large knot inside of him, keeping the cum in longer.

The sight was something Wolfwood wished he could photograph, to keep and cherish forever. He looker down at the omega, who to him at least, seemed to have a holy glow to him, filled to the brim with his seed, and eyes halfway opened with pale pink cheeks. He wished the moment would last for hours, just staying there taking in every detail of the man beneath him.

‘God, if you’re listening… please let me keep this angel with me for a bit longer…’

After all, Nicholas D Wolfwood was a selfish person. What he didn’t know though, was that Vash Saverem was just as selfish himself.

Chapter 5: I Want to See You Again

Notes:

Apologies for the late-ish chapter! I kinda had writers block (still have it, but slowly working out the next few chapters) and struggled with the flow of this chapter. So sorry if this one seems a bit jumpy!

Chapter Text

Vash felt his body ache with an intensity he had never felt before, a soreness forming that not even a full day of working has ever come close to fulfilling. His mind felt foggy, sure he remembered some things from the night before, but truth be told, he was mentally gone after the second or third round the two had. From his soreness, there was no doubt in his mind that the two had gone at it more than that.

Despite that, Vash couldn’t help the primal instinct that was to feel overly satisfied and accomplished after what the two had done. A thought that brought a dusty rose blush to his cheeks, but also a thought that was just very fulfilling. He hadn’t felt like that before, and truly never knew if he would again, so for the time being he could relish in the moment.

The thought crossed Vash’s mind briefly that he should maybe run to the store and pick up a Plan B, but he pushed that thought away thinking there was no way he would need it, his heat was coming up next week anyways. He slowly sat up, noticing that he was in the bed alone. Stretching his arms, feeling that familiar ache fill his bones, he got up from the bed and put his boxers back on along with a shirt the alpha had left out for him. The smell of sweet pancakes and salty bacon filled his nostrils as a smile crept onto his pink lips.

Wolfwood was busying himself in his kitchen, one that was a decent size for an apartment, cutting up different fruits for the pancakes and frying up bacon on the stove. He would never admit it, but he absolutely loved to cook for others, it was one of his favorite love languages. It wasn’t often he got to cook for anyone other than himself, so he was happy to take advantage of the fact he had someone else to cook for.

Hearing footsteps walk over, Wolfwood looked up to see the familiar angel, the sight of him making Wolfwood want to jump right back onto him that very moment. The blonde looked a bit sleepy, dressed in the alphas slightly oversized shirt, glasses off, and his pale legs out in the open. Wolfwood had his mouth open, but words couldn’t be formed to fit justice to how the omega looked.

Vash smiled gently walking over, “Morning Wolfwood!” he spoke gently, moving a bit slower as he clearly was pretty sore from the night the two had just shared together.

“Morning angel, god you look hot even when you just wake up.” Wolfwood spoke, not being able to help but compliment the omega in front of him. God, what did he do to deserve someone so sweet and beautiful to be in his orbit?

A soft pink blush formed onto Vash’s cheeks, a small laugh coming from his lips. “You think so? Says you, mister cooking in no shirt and shorts.” Vash couldn’t keep his eyes from looking at the alphas muscular body, his eyes glued stuck to the others beautifully tanned skin.

Wolfwood couldn’t help but smile at the compliment, “thanks angel.” A comfortable silence followed, filling the room. Vash sat down at a chair located at the kitchen counter, a perfect look to watch the alpha cook.

“How you feeling angel? Sore I’m guessing? I’ve gotta say, no one’s ever matched my energy so much in bed before.” Wolfwood spoke gently, continuing to cook as he added a small laugh to the end of his words.

Vash couldn’t help but continue to smile, “I feel like I got hit by a bus, but it was totally worth every moment.” He laughed softly at the end. “You’re incredible in bed.”

“Thanks angel, you’re incredible yourself. Never had someone go that many rounds with me before.” Wolfwood flipped some pieces of bacon on the pan, letting the other side crisp up in return.

Vash laughed a bit nervously, putting his prosthetic hand behind his head. “Yeah… truth be told something took over me after the second or third round, so I don’t remember much after that.”

Wolfwood paused for a moment, should he be worried that the omega was a bit gone past that point? After all, it could mean he could’ve gone into a quick heat. He pushed the thought away, that’s a problem for later. “Really? We went for like five or six rounds, you begged for it each time-“

Vash reached over the counter throwing his hands onto the others mouth as he shushed him. “Wolfwood! Don’t say that…” he was completely embarrassed, but also shocked that they had gone for that long. Sure Vash had a high sex drive, but he had never gone more than two or three rounds with someone before passing out.

Another comfortable silence filled the room, as Vash removed his hands from the alphas mouth. His face became a bit red, wondering if he should bring up the elephant in the room.

“We did go a lot of rounds last night, unprotected at that, did you want me to run out and get you a Plan B?” Wolfwood was the first one to address the thoughts both of them were having.

Vash paused, thinking for a moment. Yeah, they did do a lot last night, but also Vash wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. He threw the dye on this one, if something were to happen then it would be on him, and he’d be ok with that.

What was he even thinking? The two barely knew each other, but on the other hand his heat was next week, so the chance of anything happening was most likely pretty low.

“Vash? You ok Angel?” Wolfwood waived his hand in front of the omega, waking him up from the millions of thoughts running around in his head.

Vash let out a nervous laugh, “Oh yeah we did do a lot didn’t we? We should be ok though, my heat is supposed to be next week and I’ve never gone into an early heat so the chance of anything happening is pretty low.” He brushed it off, wanting to get off of the awkward topic as quick as possible.

Wolfwood simply nodded, he trusted the omega enough to know what was best for himself. Besides, he would probably get his heat next week, the two wouldn’t see each other so nothing happened that few days, then things would go on like usual.

Soon enough Wolfwood finished making breakfast for the two, making a plate for the omega and himself, taking a seat next to him at the counter. Vash’s eyes lit up, looking at all the fruit piled up on top of the pancakes sitting in front of him. “Wow these look incredible! Thank you so much.” He spoke enthusiastically as he began to eat.

Wolfwood couldn’t help but smile seeing his face light up. “Of course Angel.” He began to eat his share himself, damn they really were good pancakes and the bacon was just crispy enough but not burnt.

The two shared a meal, making small talk as they continued to eat their fill. “I can’t eat another bite! That was delicious!” Vash sat back happily, feeling satisfied from getting some food in his gut not realizing how hungry he had truly been.

“You said it, I needed that though. Haven’t had pancakes in a while actually, I remember omegas typically have a big sweet tooth as well so I knew you’d like them.” Wolfwood spoke as he looked over at the omega with a small smile.

Vash looked over with gentle kind eyes, “That's so sweet of you to do, thank you Wolfwood.” He gave a genuine smile, one that Wolfwood wanted to ingrain into his mind forever.

“No problem Angel, although don’t think you’re getting rid of me that easily. With a night like we had last night, that’s not something I wanna forget so easily.” Wolfwood took the initiative, wanting to make his intentions at least somewhat known.

Vash blinked at him, he couldn’t believe his ears. Here he thought he was lucky enough to spend one night with the alpha, he had to have misheard him right? There’s no way the alpha wanted to spend more time with him. “Really?” Tears formed in Vash’s eyes before he could control it.

Wolfwood panicked for a moment thinking he did something wrong, “Woah hey Blondie you ok?” He asked worriedly as he put his hand gently onto the small of his back.

Vash nodded as he laughed gently, wiping the tears forming in his eyes. “Oh yeah, I just cry a lot. I’m a very emotional person.” He turned his attention back to the alpha with a genuine smile, “I would love to spend more time with you as well.”

The two talked work schedules, what days would be best for them to have a casual date or just hang out just the two of them, noting that Wolfwood was more busy at nights while Vash was busier in the mornings.

“Oh also I don’t think I’ve ever told you this before,” Vash opened up, not wanting to keep anything major a secret to Wolfwood. “I actually have a twin brother.”

Wolfwood nodded, trying to act surprised as to not blow his cover as he was currently working for his brother to put it. “Oh really? Y’all identical or fraternal?” He asked, knowing it was a stupid question knowing Vash’s history with gender and also knowing Knives personally.

“Fraternal actually, he owns a really big company located nearby actually.” He showed off his prosthetic arm, the light blue metal shining brilliantly in the natural lighting. “He’s the one who designed my arm, his name is Nai.”

Wolfwood noted how Vash didn’t refer to his brother as Knives, but kept it to himself. He nodded once more, putting his hands to his chin. “Huh, I think I’ve heard of him before. Knives is it?”

A gentle laugh escaped Vash’s lips, “Right! I forgot he goes by that in the business world, I’m just so used to calling him Nai. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be as mobile as I am now.”

Wolfwood smiled gently, “Sounds like a great guy, how did you loose your arm by the way?” The alpha asked, immediately feeling guilty as he knew it was a touchy subject, yet decided to pry anyways.

Vash smiled, not his normal bright smile, but one more so filled with sadness. “Oh! It was an accident actually, I’m just an unlucky guy I suppose!” He laughed nervously, as Wolfwood decided to not pry any further not wanting to make the omega uncomfortable.

Wolfwood snapped his fingers, “Oh I almost forgot, I actually have somewhere I gotta visit this afternoon If you’d like to join me.”

The blonde seemed to perk up hearing this, “Oh yeah sure I’d love to! Where is it?” Vash was curious as to where the alpha had to be, wondering if he maybe had a client to visit or maybe even a relative.

Wolfwood stood up, gathering some of the dishes from their meal as he spoke, “It’s actually the orphanage where I grew up, I visit there a couple of times a month.” He spoke smoothly, no hint of emotion peaking through his words that Vash could detect.

Vash smiled gently, his normal real smile. “I would love to join you! I actually love kids, just don’t let me take one back with me!” He laughed softly, joking with the alpha as Wolfwood couldn’t help but smile.

“Really? Good to know. I actually love kids too, want my own someday if the big man upstairs blesses me with ‘em.” Wolfwood spoke with a gentle smile on his face as he continued to wash the dishes off and stack them into the dishwasher. The omega got up, brining his plate over as he wanted to help out.

Vash smiled over at the alpha, “I feel ya there, not very religious myself but I’d like to think the world is kind enough that if you really want something, not even the universe can stop it from happening.” He shared his ideals with the man, the two seemed to compliment each other nicely. Like two puzzle pieces that fit together just right.

“Yeah, I like that Blondie.” Wolfwood smirked as he ruffled the omegas hair as he heard the blonde let out a laugh.

“Hey! My hair is already a mess as it is!” He teased with the other, something about this just felt right.

“Oh please, that’s what it always looks like. You’re like a fluffy golden retriever.” The alpha replied, placing a gentle kiss onto the others forehead. “Let’s get changed and we can get going, I’m sure everyone there will be excited to have a new visitor.”

Vash nodded excitedly, running off to the other room to get changed into a more acceptable pair of clothes to wear out.

Wolfwood couldn’t help but smile, he hadn’t been around the omega for long, but something about the omega brought out such a warmness to his chest. The primal want and need to protect him and to engulf him into his arms. Nicholas D Wolfwood wasn’t sure of many things, but one thing he was sure of was he was going to make Vash Saverem his.
