Summary:

The title is pretty self-explanatory.

Will this actually be updated daily? Probably not. Will I try to do it daily? Yeah, but don’t count on it.

Chapter 1: Meeting

Summary:

The first time your OTP met. Introduced through a mutual friend? An accident?

Astro entered the library, and he went into the reading corner where he and Brightney would have their book club meetings. Ever since the club had started it had just been the two of them; no one else had wanted to join, at least from what Brightney had told him.

He sat down on one of the bean bag chairs, and he brought out the book that he had been reading. Brightney seemed to have been running late, which Astro thought was weird. She was usually the first one to be at the library, and she would be the one waiting for Astro to arrive.

He heard footsteps, and he looked up from his lap. “Hello Astro!” Brightney said, “sorry for being late, but I found someone who wanted to join our book club!”

Astro was surprised. “Really? Who?”

Someone else then walked in, or rather, someones.

“Hi! I’m Razzle!”

“Um… hi… I’m Dazzle…”

Razzle and Dazzle, the Twin Masks. Astro had seen them around before, but he never actually spoke to the twins until now.

Brightney gestured towards Astro. “And this is Astro. He was the only other member of the club; well, until you two joined! Pick out a book to read and then we’ll get started.”

The twins walked up to one of the shelves, and Dazzle picked up the first book he saw that interested him. They then sat down on the middle bean bag between Brightney and Astro.

Astro looked over at Dazzle’s book. “What book is that?”

Dazzle was startled but he quickly calmed down. “Oh… it’s Romeo and Juliet… I always love a good Shakespearean tragedy…” He then looked at Astro’s book. “...what about your’s?”

“It’s an astronomy book; I love astronomy…”

“Really…? So do I…”

“Glad to see you two are already getting along!” Brightney said. She then looked over at Razzle, who was fast asleep in his and Dazzle’s neck. “Uh… Razzle?”

“Don’t worry about him,” Dazzle said, “he isn’t a huge fan of reading, but I really wanted to be in the club…”

“It’s alright!” Brightney picked up her book. “Now, let’s open up our books, and let’s start reading.”

Everyone opened their books, and they all started reading; the silence only being broken by Razzle’s snores. Astro wasn’t paying too much attention to his book, since he kept glancing over at Dazzle.

He was intrigued by the Tragedy Mask, maybe it wouldn’t hurt to get to know him more.

Chapter 2: Realization

Summary:

The first time a member of your OTP (or both members!) realized they had feelings for the other.

“Dazzle, you’re staring at him again.”

Dazzle flinched at the sudden whispering. He then looked over at his brother, who he was surprised to see was awake; Razzle was usually asleep during the book club meetings. “What… what are you talking about?”

“You’re looking at Astro more than you’re looking at your book. You love Othello, so I know something is up.”

“It’s nothing Razzle… really.”

Razzle rolled his eyes before closing them and resting his head back in their neck. Without him realizing, Dazzle’s eyes strayed away from his book and towards Astro. He only realized when Astro happened to look back, and Dazzle quickly focused his attention back to his book in embarrassment.

He wasn’t being entirely truthful to Razzle, although he didn’t think that he would understand since his brother never really understood… well, romance.

That was really it, he was in love with Astro. But he couldn’t tell him; they were just friends, and he doubted that the Moon felt the same way.

Astro had also looked back at his book in embarrassment when he saw Dazzle looking at him. Why was it so embarrassing? Astro himself didn’t even know. Dazzle was just his friend, he shouldn’t be embarrassed by the Tragedy Mask looking at him.

Astro was sitting in Gardenview’s dining area, but unlike the other Toons there, he wasn’t eating anything. Sprout noticed his behavior and he decided to approach him. “Astro, is everything alright?”

Astro brought his head up to look at him. “Yeah… I’m fine.”

“Are you sure? You sound really down in the dumps. Do you want something to eat?”

“Oh, I’m not hungry. I’m just… thinking.”

Sprout sat down next to him. “Thinking about what?”

Astro was debating if he should tell Sprout, but maybe he would understand. “Have you ever had a friend who you wanted to be something more with? Like, you know, something beyond just friendship?”

“Oh absolutely.” Sprout said. “That’s how I felt about Cosmo, at least until we started dating.”

Then the realization hit Astro like a train at Spout’s words. It all made sense now: the gazes, the embarrassment of being noticed, and all the weird feelings Astro felt around Dazzle.

Chapter 3: The Reveal

Summary:

When your OTP confessed their feelings. Or were their feelings originally a secret until someone else intervened?

Dazzle entered the library later than usual. He was having a hard time finding his book, and Razzle had already fallen asleep before they left their room meaning Dazzle - who was a lot slower than Razzle - had to run all the way to the library, and it wasn’t exactly super close to their room.

He finally made it, and he stopped at the entrance to catch his breath. After wiping the sweat off his forehead he entered the library. The place was empty, which was to be expected; no else really entered the library aside from the book club, but the reading corner was also empty, which Dazzle thought was weird. Was there no meeting today? No, Brightney would have said if the meeting was cancelled, so where was everyone?

He then heard talking, and he recognized that it was Astro and Brightney. Maybe they moved the meeting spot and just forgot to tell Dazzle. He got closer to the pair, but they didn’t seem to notice him.

“I think you should tell him how you feel! The worst thing he could say is that he just wants to be friends, right?”

“Well… yeah, but then everything would be so awkward between us…”

“I don’t know Astro, I’ve seen the way Dazzle looks at you during our meetings. I’m pretty sure he feels the same way.”

Dazzle was in shock. Astro liked him back? He tried shaking Razzle wake. “Razzle… did you hear that?”

Razzle briefly woke up. “Huh… what…? Yeah sure…” He then went back to sleep shortly after; Dazzle didn’t really pay attention to the fact that Razzle probably didn’t even hear what he said.

He then walked over to Astro and Brightney. “Well… I do feel the same.”

The two flinched before they looked over at Dazzle. “HUH? Dazzle?! When did you-”

“I was running late, and then I heard you two talking. I walked over and then… well, I heard everything.”

Astro hid himself further into his blanket. “...did you mean what you said, when you said you feel the same?”

Dazzle smiled, a rare occasion for the Tragedy Mask. “Of course I do.”

Chapter 4: First Date

Summary:

Your OTP’s first date. Where’d they go? Did the date go well or go horribly?

“Hold still for just a little bit longer, and… there you go! All done!” Razzle turned Dazzle towards the mirror to have him look at the make up he applied to him. “What do you think?”

“It’s nice… but don’t you think this is a little too much? I’m pretty sure we’re just going to dinner…”

“Oh nonsense Dazzle. You’re still going on a date, and it’s your first date no less! You should still try to look as nice as you can.”

“I guess you’re right… But-”

“Ah ah ah, no buts Dazzle. Now get dressed, you have to leave in a couple minutes.” Razzle handed Dazzle the clothes he bought him, and he left him alone in the bathroom so he could get dressed.

Dazzle arrived at the place that Astro told him to meet at; he was relieved to see that he wasn’t late. Astro arrived shortly after. “Oh, hello Dazzle! I didn’t expect you to be here so early.” He then examined his face. “By the way, you look really nice.”

Dazzle got flustered. “O-oh… thanks… My brother helped me with my makeup…”

Astro sheepishly laughed. “Uhm… anyway, I figured we could get dinner first before the main event.”

Dazzle was confused. “...the main event?”

“You’ll see what I’m talking about when we get to it, but we should head to the restaurant now, I don’t want to lose my reservation.”

Astro paid for the meal, and they both left the restaurant. “So what was this ‘main event’ you were talking about?” Dazzle asked.

Astro smiled. “Follow me.”

Dazzle was confused, but he followed Astro. They continued to walk until they stopped in front of the theater, and Dazzle was slowly starting to piece everything together.

“Remember how you wanted to see Macbeth? Well…” Astro pulled out two tickets, “they were pretty pricey, but I managed to get two tickets.”

Dazzle felt like he was going to cry, but not from sadness for a change. It was something that he brought up once, and he didn’t think that Astro would remember how much he wanted to see the play.

“...Dazzle?”

“I’m sorry… I just didn’t think that you would remember how much I wanted to see Macbeth…”

“Of course I remembered! I’ve been saving up for these tickets ever since you told me that the play was going to be here.”

Dazzle tackled Astro in a hug. “T-thank you so much!”

Astro hugged him back. “It was nothing, really.” The two then let go of each other. “Now let’s get in, it’s going to start soon.”

Chapter 5: Reminder

Summary:

What trinkets or items does each member of your OTP keep with them to remind them of their significant other? A gift? A photograph? Something else?

Dazzle always had a hard time falling asleep; he didn’t know the reason, but it was always hard for him to do so.

But whenever he was with Astro, Dazzle could fall asleep easily. The Moon had such a calming presence that could help the Tragedy Mask relax. One night Astro gave Dazzle his star pillow, to remind him of the Moon whenever he wasn’t there.

Whenever Astro was doing a run at night, Dazzle would hug the pillow at night to fall asleep, and it worked every time.

Astro fiddled with the ribbon spool in his hands. To anyone else the item seems insignificant, but that was the complete opposite for Astro.

Dazzle had given Astro the item as a thank you for the pillow, and Astro cherished the spool. He couldn’t even bring himself to use the ribbon on it because of how special it was to him.

It said trinkets in the original prompt and I couldn't resist using their actual trinkets lol

Chapter 6: New to the Family

Summary:

Each member of your OTP meeting the other’s family for the first time. Does each family approve of the one dating the other? What sorts of shenanigans do they get into?

“I’m sure my parents will like you Dazzle.”

“A-are you sure?”

“I’m sure.” Astro walked up to the door, and he knocked on it. They both waited; Dazzle was doing so anxiously.

After what felt like years for the Tragedy Mask, the door finally opened.

“Hello mother.” Astro said to the woman in front of them.

Astro’s mother looked down at her son. “Hello Astro,” she then looked over at Dazzle, “is this your friend that you mentioned you were bringing with you?”

“Yes mother.”

She invited the pair into the home. “Your father should be home soon, and I’m almost done with dinner. You two can wait out here.”

Astro and Dazzle both sat down on the couch. “Why did your mom call me your friend…?” Dazzle asked.

“Well this is their first time meeting you, I feel like it would be pretty awkward if I told them that we were dating.”

“I guess you’re right.”

“Although I thought my father would be here by now, I guess he’s working late.”

“A warning about my family, they can be… a bit much to say the least.”

“Oh come on Dazzle, they can’t be that bad.”

“Ok… but don’t say I didn’t warn you.” Dazzle knocked on the door, and after a short while his brother Razzle opened the door.

“Dazzle! Hi!” He gave his brother a hug, and then he gave Astro one after. “Come on in, mom and dad are waiting for you!”

Razzle went back into the house. “You’re brother didn’t seem so bad.”

“Just wait until you meet my parents…” They both went inside, and Razzle was in there, along with the twins’ parents.

“Dazzle you’re finally here!” His father went to give him a hug like Razzle did earlier.

His mother went up to Astro. “Is this your boyfriend…? Oh my son… ALL GROWN UP!” She started crying as she hugged Astro tightly.

Astro looked at Dazzle with concern. “I told you.”

Chapter 7: Laughter

Summary:

Your OTP making each other laugh. Jokes? Stories? Tickle fights?

Dazzle usually isn’t the type to make other Toons laugh - it’s usually his brother Razzle that does that - but he could always make Astro laugh.

It was never intentional, and it was the small things Dazzle would do that would make him laugh. Whenever Dazzle would do something that Astro found adorable, he would usually get flustered afterwards, and Astro would laugh, but not with the intent of mocking him.

“Astro… stop…!”

“Aw… but you’re so cute when you get flustered!”

Chapter 8: First Kiss

Summary:

Exactly what it sounds like— make a piece inspired by/about your OTP’s first kiss.

“So are you ready, or do you want to wait?”

“N-no… we can do it now. I’m so nervous though…”

“It’s alright Dazzle, I haven’t done this either.”

Dazzle took a deep breath. “Ok, I’m ready now. Hopefully we don’t wake Razzle up…”

Astro leaned in first, and Dazzle reciprocated the action. Their lips touched together, and they kept them there for a bit. The action was new to the both of them, but they both enjoyed it. They then pulled away from each other.

“Do you want to do it again?” Astro asked.

“Yes… of course…!”

They leaned in again, but this time their lips stayed connected for longer. The otherwise romantic moment was only interrupted by Razzle’s snoring, but neither of them seemed to care.

Chapter 9: Thirdwheeling

Summary:

Your OTP plus a third wheel. Is it awkwardly quiet, or chaotically crazy?

Razzle always had to thirdwheel on all of Dazzle and Astro’s “dates”. He never had much of a choice since he was conjoined to his twin, but he never minded it.

In fact he always loves teasing the two whenever he has the opportunity, and he loves seeing how flustered and embarrassed the two get whenever he does so.

“Ooo, are you two gonna kiss~?”

“Razzle… stop…! You’re making it weird…”

Razzle tried - but failed - not to laugh. “I’m just teasing you Dazzle, lighten up a little!”

Chapter 10: Flustered

Summary:

Your OTP being flustered. It could be one member, it could be both.

Dazzle buried his face into his scarf as Astro continued to kiss him. “Astro… stop… There are so many other Toons here…”

“No one’s even looking at us Dazzle.”

“But Razzle-”

“Razzle isn’t even paying attention, and besides, he doesn’t care.”

Dazzle buried himself further into his scarf. “You’re doing this on purpose aren’t you?”

Astro hummed. “Maybe, maybe not.”

Chapter 11: Rest

Summary:

Your OTP resting and/or sleeping together. They could be sleeping anywhere from at home in bed to out on a park bench.

Astro had already drifted away, meanwhile Dazzle was still reading the astronomy book that he gave him; Razzle was also asleep, but Dazzle wasn’t focused on him.

He closed the book and he placed it on his lap; he should probably try to fall asleep too.

He rested his head on the many pillows Astro had, and Dazzle slept peacefully, knowing that he would get a good night’s sleep right next to his boyfriend.

Sorry that these last couple chapters have been super short. I started college this week and I've been working on Whumptober, so yeah I've been very busy lately 😭

Chapter 12: Shopping

Summary:

Your OTP shopping together. What are they shopping for? Are they just running errands, or are they buying gifts for each other?

Notes:

“Ok, I got the bread. What do we need next?”

Dazzle looked at the shopping list. “It says we need milk.”

“Ok, and we’ll get the eggs while we’re there.”

They both went into the dairy aisle, and Astro easily found the milk and eggs. “What’s next?”

Dazzle looked at the list again. “I think we got everything. Unless you can think of something that we didn’t put on the list.”

Astro thought about it. “No, I don’t think so.”

“Well I guess we can go pay now.” Dazzle yawned. “I’m tired though…”

“Yeah, it’s been a pretty long day,” Astro helped Dazzle push the shopping cart towards the registers, “but once we get home we can both have a nice long rest together.”

Chapter 13: Our Song

Summary:

Your OTP and music. Do they have a song? Do they sing? Do they dance?

Astro started cranking the music box, and a soothing lullaby started playing when he let go of the crank. “This helps me whenever I have a hard time falling asleep, maybe it will help you too.”

Dazzle looked over at Razzle, who was already sound asleep. “Maybe you’re right…”

Astro fluffed up one of the pillows before Dazzle laid down next to him. At least if anything, Astro’s bed was nice and comfortable. Astro then rested his head in the crook of Dazzle’s neck. “Good night Dazzle.”

“Night Astro…”

Astro then fell asleep, and Dazzle continued to listen to the music box’s music. He did feel himself getting drowsy just listening to it, and he noticed a smile creeping on Razzle lips at the melody.

Dazzle rested his head on the pillow Astro prepared for him, and he closed his eyes to try and get some sleep. The music seemed to have worked, as he eventually felt himself dozing off.

Chapter 14: Stargazing

Summary:

Your OTP stargazing. Where are they doing this? Are they out camping? Are they sitting on a rooftop? What constellations are they looking at?

The Gardenview lobby was the only place where the Toons could see the outside world. It wasn’t much - it was only the sky, and the tree was in the way - so most toons never bothered to look.

Well, except for two - or rather, three.

Astro and the twins would spend their time stargazing underneath the starlit sky. Astro taught them both about the many stars and constellations in the sky. Razzle never seemed too interested, but Dazzle was always in a trance whenever Astro would tell him about the constellations.

“You can tell what time of the year it is based on the constellations you can see. Look, Virgo’s in the sky, which means we’re either in the end of August or the beginning of September.”

“Wow… how did you know?”

“It says it in the astronomy book I gave you.”

Dazzle tried hiding himself in his scarf as he started blushing. “Oh… I guess I was always too focused on the pictures in it to notice…”

Chapter 15: Rainy Day

Summary:

Your OTP on a rainy day. How do they spend the time? Cuddling up with a movie? Playing video games? Watching the rain?

Dazzle looked out at the rain harshly hitting the window. He had just gone over to Astro’s house to pay him a visit, and it started raining. He already messaged Razzle saying that he was going to spend the night because of the sudden storm.

He didn’t notice that Astro had walked up next to him. “It’s raining pretty hard, isn’t it?”

“Yeah…”

Astro then grabbed his hand. “Come on, maybe we could do something to pass the time.”

He led Dazzle to the couch, and he picked out a movie for both of them to watch. They had both seen Beauty and the Beast many times, but it was a movie that they both loved watching, especially together.

Chapter 16: Super Powers

Summary:

An AU in which your OTP has super powers. Are they a hero/sidekick duo? Are they archenemies? Are they both villains?

Superhero AU

I was actually really excited to write this one!

Astro and Shelly entered the theater, and the former tripped on one of the many ribbons that littered the place.

“Looks like La Commedia and La Tragedia are here causing trouble again.” Shelly said as she helped him up.

“Yeah, their ribbons are always creating a lot of trouble…” Astro used two of his arms to untie the ribbon from his foot.

They went further in, and they saw La Commedia and La Tragedia on the stage. The audience was fairly empty, but the few people in the seats were trapped by their ribbons.

“Oh, look who’s here to crash the show,” La Commedia said, “Super Nova and Fossil Rex, was it?”

“Is this how you’re getting people to watch your plays?!” Shelly asked.

“Yes! No one seems to get that WE are the best actors that this little town has to offer. Isn’t that right Tragedia?”

“Yeah…”

“So I’m afraid you two will need to… BREAK A LEG!” More ribbons shot out from the ground, and they made their way towards the two heroes; Shelly was able to get out of the way, but Astro wasn’t so lucky. The ribbon slammed into his leg, and he collapsed onto the ground.

“SUPER NOVA!” Shelly ran towards him, and she tried to help him up.

“OW OW! I-I can’t…”

Shelly looked at Astro’s leg. “Your leg… the bones are completely broken.”

“I’ll be fine… just go stop those villains for me…”

Shelly nodded, and she gently placed Astro down before she turned to face the twins. She got on all fours, and she snarled before charging at them.

Astro laid in the hospital bed, his eyes only resting on his broken leg. It wasn’t the first time he’s gotten hurt while fighting villains, but this time… things were different; he didn’t know why.

He heard the door to his room opening, and he looked away from his casted leg for the first time. Razzle and Dazzle were in the doorway. “ASTRO! YOU’RE OK!” Dazzle ran towards him, and he gave his boyfriend a hug.

“I told you he would be ok, Dazzle. You didn’t need to worry!”

The twins pulled away from Astro, and he noticed that something was up. There were bite marks and scratches all over their body. “...what happened to you two…?”

Razzle looked at his arm. “Oh… THAT!” Razzle started laughing, “we got attacked by a… dog on our way here! Guess that’s why you don’t pet every dog you see.”

Dazzle remained silent throughout the whole thing, but Astro was still glad that he was here for him.

Chapter 17: Double Date

Summary:

Your OTP going on a double date with two of their friends. Are they out to dinner? A movie? What’s the other couple like? Do they get along well with your OTP?

Notes:

Kinda went away from the prompt this time but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

“How are those cookies coming along you two?”

Razzle shushed Sprout as Dazzle carefully iced each of the cookies. “Don’t make him lose his focus.” The Tragedy Mask always paid attention to every little detail, and his brother knew that he needed these cookies to be absolutely perfect. Razzle never really understood it, but he was still there to support his brother.

Sprout looked at the cookies. “They look great Dazzle! You’re doing a good job!” His sudden comment startled Dazzle, and he ended up squeezing the icing bag too hard, causing a bigger clump of icing to get on the cookie than he had intended.

Razzle could see Dazzle’s growing distress as he squeezed the bag tighter. “Dazzle, it’s ok… It’s just one cookie… The rest of your cookies look perfect!”

Sprout started getting concerned. “...is he ok?”

“Uhm… can you give us some space please?”

Sprout nodded, and he left the twins alone in the kitchen.

Cosmo kept glancing over at the clock. “I wonder what’s taking them so long.”

“It’s probably Dazzle,” Astro said, “he’s probably making sure those cookies look perfect.”

Sprout entered the dining area, and they both glanced over at him. “Uh… it may take a little longer for the cookies to be done.”

Cosmo sighed as he put his head in his hands. “Did the oven catch on fire again?”

“What? No, actually. Dazzle was able to make it work with no problem!”

Astro smiled. “I figured.”

“So what’s delaying the cookies then?” Cosmo asked.

“Yeah… about that…” Astro and Cosmo waited for Sprout’s explanation. “Dazzle messed up while icing one of the cookies, and he kinda freaked out.”

“Oh… is he ok?”

“Don’t know, Razzle made me leave to give them some privacy.”

Astro got up from his seat. “I’ll go check on him.” He went into the kitchen, and he saw the twins curled up against the counter. Razzle was rubbing Dazzle’s shoulder to try and soothe his weeping brother.

Astro sat down in front of them. “Hey Dazzle, is everything alright?” Dazzle shook his head. Astro took off his blanket. “Do you want a hug?” Dazzle shook his head again.

“He’s still really upset around the cookies.” Razzle said.

“Where are they?”

“On the counter.”

Astro got up and he went to look at the cookies. They all looked almost identical; the sprinkles were placed in the same spots, and the icing patterns looked very neatly done. His eyes then landed on the cookie that Dazzle “messed up”.

He picked it up, and sat back down in front of the twins. “Dazzle, this cookie might look different than the others, but it doesn’t make it any less tasty than them.”

“The same thing could be said about you!” Razzle then said. “You might do things differently than other Toons, but that doesn’t make you less than any of us!”

Astro held his hand out, and Razzle took it; he helped the twins back up. “I’m sure Cosmo and Sprout will love your cookies, even if one of them looks a little different.” He grabbed the cookies and he handed them to Dazzle. He hesitated before taking the tray.

The three of them walked out of the kitchen, and they saw Cosmo and Sprout waiting for them. “Sorry for the wait, but the cookies are finally done!” Razzle placed the tray of cookies on the table.

“They all look great!” Cosmo said as he picked up one of the cookies. “You did a good job Dazzle!”

Dazzle didn’t respond, but he nodded.

“Sorry, he’s still upset over messing up the cookies.” Razzle said.

“Aww, it’s ok Dazzle. Me and Cosmo mess stuff up all the time!”

“Oh be quiet Sprout.” Cosmo said as he nudged him with his elbow.

Dazzle cracked a little smile at Sprout’s words. “See Dazzle? Everything is alright.” Astro said as he also picked up a cookie.

Chapter 18: Holding Hands

Summary:

Your OTP holding hands. Why are they holding hands? Is it just because, or is one of them in danger somehow?

Notes:

I'm sorry for missing yesterday; I had a ton of college homework to do, and it was my dad's birthday and I wanted to spend time with him because of it

Dazzle liked it when the elevator was mostly empty. He never liked crowds, and sometimes having seven other Toons in the fairly small elevator was stressful for him.

This time it was just him and Razzle, along with Astro and Brightney. They probably weren’t going to make it far, but Dazzle didn’t care; he was just glad to spend time with his favorite Toons.

Razzle and Brightney were in the middle of a conversation when Dazzle felt Astro grabbing his hand. He always got stressed whenever he was on a run - especially when they were approaching an even numbered floor - and Astro would hold his hand when they were in the elevator for reassurance.

Chapter 19: Spellbound

Summary:

An AU in which your OTP has magical abilities. Are they witches/wizards? How do they use their powers?

Notes:

Fantasy AU

Astro cautiously entered the cave, and he looked around before going deeper in. He knew it was dangerous to enter the hydra’s den, but recently his friend Dandy had mastered the transformation spell, which Astro had struggled with learning for a while now. He figured the best way to master it was to study the dragons in their natural habitat.

He noticed a faint smell of smoke as he went further in, and it only got stronger the farther he went in. The dragons were definitely close by.

Astro then stepped on a gem, and he looked up to see a two-headed dragon in front of him. It was asleep, thankfully, so Astro would hopefully be able to study it safely.

Each side of the dragon had different colored scales. The right side white, and the left side was gray. Astro didn’t know why, but it intrigued him. He went up to the gray side of the dragon, and he carefully picked one of its scales; maybe having part of a dragon would further help with the spell.

Unfortunately, Astro didn’t notice that one of the heads had woken up until he heard faint growling above him. He only felt the dread when it started lowering its head down to him. It opened up its mouth, and Astro saw the rows of razor sharp teeth in its mouth. He braced himself to become its meal.

But to his surprise, the dragon only grabbed him by his cloak before lifting him up and placing him on a pile of treasures. The other head had remained asleep throughout the whole thing.

“I… I’m sorry for taking one of your scales…” Astro apologized to the dragon.

“Oh, I didn’t mind that…” It replied, much to Astro’s shock. “You just startled me, that’s all.” It then looked over at its other head. “At least Razzle is still asleep.”

“...Razzle?”

“That’s the name of my other half, I’m Dazzle.”

Astro never thought that he would have such a casual conversation with a dragon. He’d been taught that they were dangerous and violent creatures, but Dazzle hadn’t tried to hurt him since he saw him in his cave.

Astro then looked down from the pile of treasures he was placed on. “Can I leave? I don’t want anyone to worry about me.”

Dazzle brought his head closer to him. “But you’re such a pretty treasure.”

Astro blushed at his comment, and he buried his face into his cloak. “You… you really think that?”

Dazzle also started blushing. “No! I… I didn’t mean it like that…! Your cloak is sparkly and…” He then picked Astro up, and he placed him back on the ground. “...you can leave, and do it before Razzle wakes up.”

They both looked away from each other, and Astro left the cave. He kept fiddling with the scale he picked from Dazzle in his hand. Maybe when he masters this transformation spell, he’ll be able to pay him a visit again.

Chapter 20: Surprise Gift

Summary:

One member of your OTP preparing a surprise gift for the other. How do they react? Do they almost find out about the surprise too early?

Dazzle waited on the park bench, looking up at the starlit sky. He had asked Astro to meet him there, and he said that he would be there.

Dazzle anxiously messed with the small velvet box in the pocket of his pants. He was planning to ask Astro to marry him, and he worried that he would reject his proposal. Still, Razzle had encouraged him to go for it, and Dazzle decided to take the risk.

He kept checking the time on his phone, and his anxiety only grew. ‘Everything will be ok Dazzle… You’re worrying too much…’

He happened to see Astro in the distance, and he checked for what had to have been the hundredth time that the box was in his pocket. He then faced away from him, and he opened the box to make sure the ring was in it. The ring was in there, and Dazzle put the box back in his pocket.

“Hey Dazzle.” Astro said as he sat next to him on the bench.

“Hello Astro…” Dazzle fiddled with the box again.

“What did you want to talk to me about?”

Dazzle took a deep breath, and he got up from the bench. He then got down on one knee. “Astro… of all the stars in the sky, you shine the brightest, and I wish for us to forever be together.” Dazzle then pulled out the box from his pocket, and he opened it “Astro… will you marry me?”

There was deafening silence between the two that was only broken by the crickets chirping in the distance. Dazzle’s hands started to shake. “I… I understand if you don’t-”

“Dazzle…” Astro brought his hand towards him, “of course I’ll marry you.”

Dazzle started tearing up as he took the ring out of the box, and he placed it on Astro’s finger. He got up from the bench, and he helped Dazzle up from the ground as they kissed. They pressed their foreheads against each other without opening their eyes.

“I love you so much…” Dazzle whispered.

“I love you too…”
