Cupcakes, or cookies?

Summary:

Stefan x Reader!! yippieeee

Stefan had been planning this baking date for a little while now, of course with the help of Mr. Cluckles. He had heard his dearest talk about baking again, cupcakes or...cookies? One of the two, he prepared for both. His eyebrows held a slight furrow as he searched the cabinets for the perfect mixing bowl, until he heard a voice behind him. Their voice. A smile tugged at his lips before he turned to face them, spotting the bowl in their grasp.

"I've been looking for that, you know." Stefan grumbled even as he walked over toward them, pressing the briefest kiss to their temple. He placed a light hand against their back and walked them over toward the ingredients he piled on the counter. He cleared his throat before he spoke again, "Did you wanna do cupcakes or cookies..?" He asked, glancing at them. He hummed in response before nodding, "Cupcakes it is.." He murmured, grabbing the required ingredients and putting the others away.

Stefan assisted them as they stirred the dry ingredients, before he himself moved onto the wet ingredients. The two worked in sync, like a pair of dancers throughout the kitchen to make the most spectacular cupcakes possible. Once everything was mixed together in the perfect consistency, Stefan slid the cupcake pan inside the oven and asked Mr. Cluckles to set a timer. Once the timer was set he turned to look over at them, and his expression almost softened. "You know, you're really good at this." He complimented, pressing another kiss to their head. He laughed quietly in response to their words.

"Flattering you? Please. I mean it, dear. You're very talented." Stefan assured, his tone firm but not angry like it would be with anyone else. He wanted them to believe his words, that his compliments weren't said for no reason. He smiled at them again, gently rubbed their lower back before he stepped away to pull the cupcakes out of the oven. He pretended not to notice them eating the frosting before giving it to him. He'd let them get away with it, at least this time.

Stefan was already planning another recipe for next time.
