Andorian Exoskeleton (Art)

Summary:

I drew how I imagine the Andorian exoskeleton.

Notes:

I read somewhere that Andorians were supposed to have an exoskeleton, but they don't appear to have on in the series. I still tried to be as close to canon as possible. I haven't seen the last episodea yet, I know Talas wears a tanktop, but I don't know if we can see her back. So, maybe it could be canon compliant, maybe we can see, that they don't have one over their spine. I don't care 😂

I wondered were it made sense the most, and as there are a lot of important nerves and whatever there *cough* Professor X *cough* that's where I put it.

This is also one if the first things I drew, and I still learn, it probably looks a bit weird. Especially the ass, but no matter what I did it looked weird, so I left it ike this, so people would laugh because of this look, and not because of the others.
I also struggled with the shading of the "scales" because I couldn't really find help on how ro draw something like that.

So basically, they have thin scale-like plates over their spine. They're slightly curved, so they don't stick out to the sides. They feel really nice, when you stroke from top to bottom. If you stroke from bottom to top, you can feel that they're on top of each other, but you can't feel resistance. You won't be able to get between them, unless you have a really thin tool.
Also, I think I ended the scales up too high, but when I noticed that, I had used all my energy already.

Maybe one day, when I have more experience, I will draw it again. But first I'll tend to other projects.
