Touhou Yuri Logs (Touhou Ship Week 2025)

Summary:

I barely ever write anything, but I thought it'd be fun to participate in this silly thing :3

So here, have my best attempt at writing gay people as a gay person

Day 1: Stars/Ambition - Mystia/Kyouko
Day 2: Polyamory/Gift - Sunny/Star/Luna
Day 3: Blossom/Silence - Tenshi/Shion
Day 4: Sunshine/Moonlight - Ran/Yuuma
Day 5: Rarepair/Culture - Satori/Patchouli
Day 6: Home/Unrequited - Seija/Alice

Notes:

I really like this ship after playing Mystia's Izakaya, and it's just really cute in general.

Tried to use both prompts for this one, dunno if I did it that well.

Chapter 1: Rock Hard, Hug Gently

Chapter Text

On a beautiful night in Gensokyo, peaceful sounds filled the sky. Crickets were chirping, wind was blowing, distant danmaku was firing, and annoyingly loud, insomnia-inducing guitar sounds and yelling were coming from the Youkai Trail.

This is due to none other than Choujuu Gigaku, a punk rock band whose songs are all simply yelling as loudly as they can about what's bothering them. The lyrics aren’t even synced up with the music that well. Or at all.

That doesn’t matter to them, though, because it’s a way of venting their feelings and getting stuff off their chest. They don’t care who or what hears it; they just need to say how they feel.

But this night was different. One of the two members, Kyouko Kasodani, had something on her mind that she couldn’t say during their concerts. She needed to tell it to one person and one person only: her fellow bandmate, Mystia Lorelei.

Making it through a concert proved to be rather difficult for her, because for the past couple of days, it was all she had on her mind. While she was sweeping at the Myouren Temple, while she was serving customers at Mystia’s grilled lamprey stand, and even when she tried to sleep at night. She couldn’t get her mind off of it, and thus, didn’t know what to sing about.

So, once their concert ended, Kyouko gathered up all of her courage and reluctantly decided to finally say something.

“U-Um, hey, M-Mysti? G-Got a second?” Kyouko whispered. Despite being known for her loud voice due to being a yamabiko, she couldn’t manage to say more than a quiet mumble to Mystia.

Noticing Kyouko’s anxiety and softer tone than usual, Mystia gave her full attention to Kyouko and treated this more seriously than their normal conversations. “Oh, uh, yeah! What’s up?”

Kyouko gulped. “I-I just, uhm… I wanted to, um, t-thank you.” Kyouko said with a big smile and even bigger blush on her face.

Mystia tilted her head, confused. “You’re… welcome? Where’s this coming from?”

“I was just thinking about how you… You’ve just helped me- no, us, achieve our ambitions and perform like we always wanted to… A-And I wanted to thank you for, um, that… Y’know?” Kyouko said, scooting ever so slightly closer to her friend, her tail slowly wagging. “I-I never thought we would actually, um, ever be r-real rock stars, but… But you made it happen. F-For both of us. So, t-thank you.”

Mystia smiled. “Aww, well, aren’t you just the sweetest? Come here~” Kyouko quickly moved closer to the night sparrow, and promptly got pets, as Mystia knows she loves. She giggled slightly as she saw Kyouko’s tail suddenly wagging much faster. “But I didn’t do everything, silly! We both did this together, as a team! You’re just as much to thank for this as I am.”

After what felt like an eternity of pets, Kyouko shook her head and snapped out of her trance. “O-Oh, yeah, t-that, um, that wasn’t all…” Kyouko took a deep breath, trying to calm down, but her tail and bright red blush clearly show that it isn’t working. “I-I, um, w-well, I-”

Before Kyouko could say anything, Mystia lightly pressed her index finger onto Kyouko’s lips, causing her blush to grow even brighter. “Shh… calm down…” Despite what Mystia said, this has the opposite effect on Kyouko, causing her to freak out even more. Mystia slowly took her finger off the yamabiko’s lips, seeing her get even more flustered. “Now, what were you saying?”

Mystia’s plan did, in fact, work to get Kyouko to say what she wanted to. But perhaps it worked too well. Kyouko, now far too flustered and excited, screamed in her loudest possible voice, directly next to Mystia. The sound spread throughout all of Gensokyo, and even some onis in the former capital could hear a faint “I LOVE YOU” coming from the surface.

Although, ironically enough, the only person who could not hear that was Mystia herself, due to the sound being so loud up close.

Not like she didn’t know how the yamabiko felt about her in the first place.

Chapter 2: Pranked!

Notes:

Originally I was gonna have this be a joke chapter about Miko/Futo/Tojiko as a Deltarune reference (if you know Deltarune, you could probably guess what it's referencing)

But instead, I wrote this because it's cute. That's it.

Chapter Text

“Now, we can’t let Star know about this.” Luna Child explained, “You got that, Sunny?”

Sunny Milk scoffed, “As if I need to be told this more than you do, dummy.”

Chuckling a bit and shaking her head, Luna replied, “Sorry, sorry. You’re right. Let’s both try our best not to say anything.”

“Got it!” Sunny exclaimed with a thumbs-up.

The two fairies quickly split up, getting to work on their next prank.

But this one was just a bit different from their usual pranks. Usually, the fairies pranked humans, and occasionally other youkai. They found it funny to prank others and get surprised or annoyed reactions from them. It’s what they loved spending their time on most, due to their mischievous nature as fairies.

This time, however, their target was different from normal. It was their girlfriend, Star Sapphire.

She wouldn’t ever expect it, they thought. It would be the perfect prank on the most unsuspecting target. So they needed to pull it off perfectly.

It was quite easy with Sunny and Luna’s abilities combined, making them nearly impossible to detect while they prepared it.

After quickly throwing together their prank, the two fairies went to get their target.

“Hey!! Star!!” Sunny shouted, “We’ve got somethin’ to show you!!”

“Hmm?” Star hummed inquisitively, standing up from a seat in the corner of the room, “What’s up?”

Luna quickly swallowed her coffee beans before she responded, “You’ll see soon, honey. Now, sit here for a minute.”

Star recoiled slightly after being called that. She still wasn’t used to this whole relationship the 3 of them were in, so it was a bit weird for her to already be called by pet names.

After composing herself for a second, Star sat down on her star-labeled chair at the table, cup of tea in hand. “So, um, can I have a hint on what’s going on?”

“Nope!” Sunny shouted from across the room. “Ah, got it!”

Luna made her way to the left of Star’s seat while Sunny brought a strange box to Star from the right.

“Here ya go! It’s a gift!” Sunny exclaimed with a grin.

Star raised an eyebrow, understandably suspicious of this. There was no good reason for them to be giving her a gift now of all times. “...I see.”

“What’s wrong, honey? Open it up!” Luna said, leaning closer to Star’s face. “We worked really hard to get this ready for you!”

Following Luna’s lead, Sunny leaned down too. “Yeah, open it! I bet you’ll loooove it~”

As Star has learned, her weakness is her loving girlfriends, so she reluctantly opens the incredibly suspicious box.

…But, nothing was inside.

“...Huh?” Star exclaimed, surprised. A gift with nothing is a pretty lame prank. Usually they go for something more complicated, or something that would get more of a reaction-

Mwah!

While Star was distracted by the lack of anything inside the box, both of the other fairies kissed both of her cheeks simultaneously. Star jumped in her seat, her wings sticking straight up.

Star was completely and fully stunned in this moment, unable to even process this. Her not being used to anything romantic definitely helped her feel even more embarrassed.

“Gotcha!~” Sunny exclaimed after moving her face away from Star’s, giggling soon after.

“We love you, Star~” Luna said, hugging the flustered fairy, which Sunny does as well soon after.

“...I- um-” Star stuttered, still in complete shock from this.

“I think we broke her.” Luna said, looking over at Sunny.

“I guess that prank went pretty well, huh?” Sunny laughed.

Before she could notice, Luna swiftly went over to Sunny and kissed her as well.

“H-hey, no fair, you weren’t supposed to prank me too!” Sunny pouted at Luna.

“Too bad~”

Chapter 3: Peace and Quiet

Notes:

Tenshion is probably my second favorite ship ever. It's really really wholesome and sweet.

TECHNICALLY if you squint I did both prompts because I mention backstory which is their blossoming relationship. But like only kinda.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Being a celestial gives you power, status, and authority over others. They are below you. And you can demand anything you desire from those below you.

One such celestial, Tenshi Hinanawi, abuses this “power” constantly, demanding everything she wants from others, acting as if she is more important than they are, and generally being an annoyance to get what she wants.

But… Recently, there’s been an exception to this.

Recently, the Celestial had been enjoying quiet moments. Moments where she wasn’t bossing anyone around.

And that’s all thanks to her partner, Shion Yorigami.

When they first met, they got along quite well and became near instant friends. Tenshi couldn’t even remember a point in time when they weren’t dating; it was just so natural for them. Neither one of them confessed; they just both agreed that they were dating when it came up.

A big reason for that, and Tenshi doesn’t know why this is, is that whenever she’s around Shion, she can’t help but go along with anything she does. Even if that’s literally nothing.

All they were doing was sitting down and enjoying the night sky, not sharing a single word with each other. Just… enjoying each other’s company.

One would assume Tenshi, the rowdy delinquent celestial, would find this boring. And although it wasn’t her favorite thing in the world, she was still happy just… Sitting there with the person she loves most. It made her feel at peace.

Spending time with Shion anywhere made her feel at peace, really. Even when they’re at a small, cheap restaurant, instead of complaining about how terrible the place is, she enjoys the experience with her partner.

It was an odd feeling at first, but it felt good. It felt right. It felt comforting.

Looking over at the poverty god in question, Tenshi smiled. Despite her lack of fancy, expensive-looking clothes, Shion still looked stunningly beautiful to the celestial. She truly lived up to the title of a god.

In a way, these two were made for each other, due to Shion’s misfortune being canceled out by Tenshi’s luck. This definitely helped Shion feel much better about herself.

Even if she would never think of it this way, that’s the accomplishment Tenshi is the most proud of. None of her battles won or mountains destroyed can compare to helping her partner truly be who she wanted to be.

Wordlessly, Tenshi kissed Shion on the cheek, causing the poverty god to jump. Tenshi thought that she looked adorable when she got even the slightest bit flustered. It’s a good thing Tenshi could fluster her without much effort.

Shion composed herself a bit before kissing the celestial back. Tenshi could almost feel the warmth radiating off her face from this distance, despite it being too dark to see the blush itself.

Settling back to their original positions and staring at the stars, Tenshi smiled.

On second thought, maybe this was her favorite thing in the world.

Notes:

oh also I was gonna make Shion non-binary for this since thats what I headcanon Shion as but then I remembered Touhou Ship Week is only WLW oops

Chapter 4: Gone Soft

Notes:

Definitely one of my favorite rarepairs and I don't know why. I just really like the dynamic between them and I'm sad its so obscure.

Again, maybe didn't do both prompts the BEST but I like what I did with moonlight at least.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Within the depths of Hell, several different gangs rule over the Animal Realm, constantly fighting with each other for control of that realm.

One of these gangs is the Gouyoku Alliance, known for their careful, calculated approach to their tactics. Rather than mindlessly fighting over trivial, pointless matters, the Gouyoku Alliance waits until their perfect moment to catch everyone else off guard.

This is thanks in no small part to their leader, Yuuma Toutetsu. All of their successes are due to her strategic planning and, if things go awry, her terrifyingly powerful ability to absorb anything with no exceptions.

One would assume she would be a cold, merciless ruler who doesn’t care about anyone at all. And that’s what she wants to believe as well.

Unfortunately, there’s a single person that she cares about more than anyone would ever expect- especially considering who this person is.

“This place is way too tidy and clean, Ran.” Yuuma scoffed, “Wouldn’t it be fun to, I dunno, tear this place apart?”

Yuuma was currently seated at a kotatsu in the home of none other than Yukari Yakumo. At the moment, Yukari was busy taking a nap, leaving Ran to take care of this place instead.

Ran, coming in from another room, shook her head. “That would take far too much time to repair. And you don’t want to see your dear wife have to go through that, do you~?”

Yuuma rolled her eyes at Ran. “Keh, the hell happened to the old you who was moonlighting as a member of a gang?” Yuuma said, crossing her arms. “You’re way too stuck up now, fox.”

Ran passed Yuuma some sweets she had gotten from the pantry of the mansion, which Yuuma quickly devoured. “Hm, that’s strange, I could’ve sworn you said you loved me at least… Thirty-five times?”

“Thirty-six,” Yuuma said after swallowing, “And yeah, I do love you, but my point still stands!”

Ran grinned slightly, suddenly having an idea. “So, you wish for me to be less proper, do you?”

“Yeah, duh, that’s what I’ve been sayin’-”

Yuuma was swiftly cut off by Ran, leaping over the (thankfully empty) kotatsu and knocking her to the ground. “I love you, Yuuma~!”

“T-The hell are you doin’!?” Yuuma said, struggling to escape the hug.

“Just what you asked me to do, dear~” Ran nuzzled Yuuma even more, causing Yuuma to roll her eyes.

But although she was pissed off at this, it’d be a lie if she said she wasn’t enjoying her wife cuddling her this much.

“Alright, fine, I get it! I love you too! Can you get off now!?” Yuuma grumbled, pushing against the fox shikigami on top of her.

“Aww, really~?” Ran asked in a cutesy voice, slowly stroking the taotie’s hair. “Are you suuure~?”

Yuuma didn’t respond and instead answered by hugging Ran back, still lying on the floor underneath her.

“I knew it~” Ran said while continuing to cuddle Yuuma.

“S-shut up. A-and stop with that bright ‘n cheery attitude. It’s annoying.” Yuuma huffed.

“Anything for you, dear~”

Notes:

If you were curious the Sunshine part comes from Ran being all cheery and whatnot and that's referred to as a ray of sunshine sometimes.

Chapter 5: Discomfort Zone

Notes:

I wish this didn't count as a rarepair its so peak I need more of it.

funnily enough what I have planned for tomorrow is a rarer pair so look out for that!!!!!

Chapter Text

“It’s so bright out here…” said Satori Komeiji, feeling the sun on her skin for the first time in who knows how long.

It felt so foreign. Unnatural. Satori wasn’t used to the feeling of the wind brushing against her hair, the sounds of running water from a nearby river, the joyful chatter of humans and youkai nearby, everything.

Even if she’s been out here before, it still feels wrong every time she’s on the surface.

She took a glance at the note in her hands. It was directions to where Patchouli lives. Despite Patchouli’s insistence that it was “impossible to miss”, Satori needed to be sure she could make it there.

Taking a breath, Satori looked around at her surroundings. She wasn’t used to this much… green everywhere. It was far too bright for her tastes. Even if red wasn’t her favorite color, at least it was easier on the eyes than this.

“Focus…” Satori mumbled to herself, “Don’t get distracted by every little detail… just get there as soon as possible…”

Following the directions as closely as she could, Satori began to make her way over to Patchouli’s home. She tried to imagine what it could be like from the descriptions she was given. It was red, had all the books anyone could ever want, and may have been considerably large, as it was able to hold that many books.

She also mentioned some people living with her, such as a maid and that red-haired devil that Patchouli occasionally brought with her. Assuming it had enough space for at least three people to live, an entire library, and other rooms needed for normal daily activities, Satori assumed it had to be a big house. Maybe not too big, but nothing to scoff at.

Satori suddenly realized that while she was deep in thought, she had completely forgotten to check where she was going.

She just so happened to end up right at the edge of the human village.

Taking a closer look, Satori was surprised by how peaceful everything felt here. Everyone seemed to be… enjoying themselves. And not through violence or destruction, either. Just by going about their day and walking through the streets.

Satori wanted to go about the village herself, as well. Even if it was for a quick stroll. But she couldn’t. Not how she was. With her third eye. All the humans would be terrified either by the appearance of it or by the fact that she could read their minds.

Taking a short breath and shaking her head, Satori tried to stay focused on finding her way back to the route she was supposed to be on.

“...Is that…?” Satori said, seeing someone of interest in the village.

The person of interest noticed her too and began slowly walking over.

“I… Did not expect you to be here.” Patchouli said, begrudgingly. “How lost did you get…?”

Satori blushed. “W-well, I…” Satori trailed off and shook her head. “Wait, more importantly, why are you here? Shouldn’t you be at home?”

Patchouli sighed. “If you must know, I was purchasing something for you, dear. But I could not figure out what you would want.”

Satori gasped. Even if it was expected for your partner to get you a gift of some kind when you visit, Satori was still surprised and overjoyed.

“U-um, thank you…” Satori said softly.

“Would you like to at least come with me so we can get something together?” Patchouli offered, slightly embarrassed.

Despite her earlier uncertainty, Satori didn’t even care what others thought as long as she had her girlfriend by her side.

“...I suppose.” Satori meekly whispered.

“Ah, wonderful. We can go back to the mansion once we’re done here. I have plenty of books to share with you there.” Patchouli said, beginning to walk back to the shops she had previously looked at.

Satori smiled. Maybe just spending time with her girlfriend here is the best gift she could’ve gotten from her.

Chapter 6: I Hate You

Notes:

Definitely the weirdest ship in this. This was HEAVILY inspired by The Inverted Heart and Tongue, which you can play here: https://create2019.itch.io/the-inverted-heart-and-tongue

Also I was debating between KaguMokou and something with Seija for this because both would be an unconventional version of unrequited and I don't like the normal version of it lol

Chapter Text

Seija Kijin kicked open the door to Alice Margatroid’s house, causing the dollmaker to jump and let out a high-pitched squeak from the sudden loud slamming sound.

Alice got up from her chair and walked to the entryway of her house. “Seija, I’ve told you how I don’t like it when you slam the door that hard!”

“...Whatever.” Seija huffed under her breath. Not even bothering to kick her shoes off, she walked into the bedroom. “‘Night.”

Seija quickly pulled the bedroom door closed most of the way, but let it close gently at the end.

Alice frowned. “Is she okay…?”

Sighing, Alice reluctantly went back to delicately crafting another one of her many dolls. Sometimes Seija is just like this, after all. If she wasn't out by the time this doll is done, she would go in to see what was up.

Meanwhile, Seija lay face-first into a pillow on her bed and tried her absolute best to not tear apart everything in this room from the rage that was building inside her.

She knew she shouldn’t. All of this belonged to Alice, after all. It was her room. Her home. Seija was just… allowed to stay here. She shouldn’t destroy what wasn’t hers.

It was still hard to resist that after what happened earlier in the village, though.

She wasn’t one to yell out in anger, usually. She just kept her rage to sarcastic comments and, more commonly, physical destruction. Even still, it was hard for her to keep everything inside.

“That fu-” Seija cut herself off. Even when she was ranting to herself, she still wanted to respect what Alice said about watching her language more. “That inchling just had to show up, didn’t she!?” Seija said, groaning with frustration. “I just love it whenever she talks about how much fun she’s having! All those friends she has!”

Seija let out a heavy, groaning sigh. She just needed to calm down.

That was made much more difficult after hearing the ever-so-familiar rhythm of taps on the door. The knocks were so gentle, just as everything else she does.

“Seija~? Can I come in…?” Alice asked from the other side of the door. She always asked this in such a stupid, cutesy way whenever Seija was feeling awful.

“...This is your room, Alice. Of course you can.” Seija mumbled, turning away from the door.

Alice slowly, carefully opened the door, glancing over at Seija. “I was making you a little something while you were gone, if you want it…”

Knowing Seija wouldn’t turn around to look at it, Alice walked to the other side of the room and brought the doll to the amanojaku’s face.

“...Looks great.” Seija huffed dismissively.

Alice pouted. “Hey, don’t just ignore it! It was hard to get all your features down without you actually being here…”

Taking a closer look, Seija realized she did, in fact, do a great job capturing everything about her, even down to her scars. It even had a smug little grin on it, which Seija smirked at.

But Seija noticed something else Alice was holding. It was a doll of Alice herself. It looked a bit less perfectly done than the one in the amanojaku’s image, and it seemed to be a bit taller proportionally compared to the real thing.

Shaking her head, Seija remembered she was supposed to be sulking. “...Cool. Is that all?”

Alice walked to the opposite side of the bed from Seija. “Well, if you’re gonna be like that…”

The dollmaker slowly slid into the bed and hugged Seija from behind.

“Ughh… Why do you have to do this every time!?” Seija said, accepting her situation.

“Because it works!” Alice cheerfully said, hugging Seija tighter. Even if that was still one of the softest things Seija had ever felt.

Seija sighed. “I hate you.”

Alice giggled, causing Seija to roll her eyes, even if no one could see it.

“Whenever you're finished stuffing that other doll… I'll take that one.” Seija said, blushing a bit.

Alice was taken aback. “H-huh?”

Seija turned over to look Alice in the face. “That other doll you have. The one that isn't a little me.”

Alice blushed and shook her head, “N-no, I mean, what do you mean ‘finish stuffing’?”

“Doesn't look as soft as you yet.” Seija said with a confident grin.

Alice's blush intensified. “U-um, okay… S-sure…”
