Chapter Text
“Vent box? The fuck is that?” Noli mumbled, tilting his head in confusion.
“Noli, what does it mean for someone to vent?” 1x deadpanned, staring over at the glitch.
“Like.. in what sense? Like.. among us? Then that just means you’re the imposter,” Noli shrugged while grinning.
1x1 stared at Noli disappointingly as C00lKidd giggled and Bluudud stifled a laugh.
“I- I mean, I’m technically not- not lying?” Noli somehow managed to say in between what can only be described as manic laughter.
1x groaned and rolled its eyes, walking over to inspect the suggestion box thing more closely, John and Jason close behind.
“This.. is not very accessible for me,” John mumbled out as he stared at the pieces of paper and the pencils and pens all spread out unevenly across the table.
“Do you think the survivors have something like this?” C00lKidd asked.
Noli shrugged, “Probably, besides, they most likely trust each other a lot more to use it.”
Jason silently nodded in agreement with Noli. He had stopped inspecting the little round table a while ago, instead opting to sharpen his weapon.
Noli glanced at 1x1 and raised an eyebrow. She was intensely staring at the table before they growled softly and walked off, mumbling something to themselves.

C00lkidd was walking around the killer cabin, bored, when he noticed that the vent box had been neatly arranged, and it was evident that it had been recently used. C00lkidd tilted his head in confusion and a hint of curiosity. He walked closer to is, looked around, before opening the box and pulling out the multiple pages of paper. It had been written anonymously, almost as if the one who wrote this had predicted that someone was going to snoop around. No matter, C00lkidd didn’t really like reading, but this seemed to be interesting enough to, in a way, ease his boredom.
Coolkidd brought the papers back to his shared cabin, Bluudud was dead asleep, while Princess was having her weekly before-bed tea party with her stuffed animals. She shot C00lkidd a glance, but other than that, she didn’t pay any mind to him.
C00lkidd climbed up the ladder to his bunk bed. He and Bluudud had fought about who would get the top bunk; eventually, C00lkidd won that bicker. (Mainly because PrettyPrincess just yelled at them to shut up) Princess had her own separate bed; she had refused to share a bunk bed with either Bluudud or C00lkidd. This led to the two boys fulfilling their dream of having a bunk bed.
C00lkidd stuck his tongue out as he pulled out the confession and started reading.

Everyone who had been pulled aside by C00lkidd was rightfully confused. Especially since C00lkidd had been telling them to sit on the couch before going off and adding more killers before standing proudly in front of all of this, holding a small stack of papers.
“Kidd.. It’s seven in the morning. What could you possibly want with all of us?” Mafioso tiredly growled out.
“Yeahhhhh, like I woke up for this,” Bluudud said with a yawn, lying down on the couch he was sitting on. Azure scooted away from Bluudud as he lay down, shooting him a small glare.
“So! I want to figure out who wrote this, and I want your guys’ help!” C00lkidd proudly exclaimed.
“And how do you know it wasn’t any of us who wrote it?” John asked, leaning back in his seat as he stared at C00lkidd with deep confusion, “For all you know, I could’ve written it.”
“But, John, you can’t write,” C00lkidd said with a blank face, causing Bluudud and a couple others to laugh.
“Eh.. You got a point. Continue,” John mumbled out.
“Hey, Kidd, could I see those real? If we’re going to be stuck here doing this, then we might as well know the story behind it,” Azure hummed, stretching his arm out as C00lkidd passed him the paper.
………….
“Hah- damn,” Azure muttered.
“That was… Interesting,” Mafioso said as he nodded.
“So- Why are we trying to figure out who wrote that again?” John questioned, still baffled by the story.
“Uh…… Because I want to, uhm.. I dunno. I’m just bored,” C00lkidd shrugged, finding it cool to be able to play detective finally.
Azure blinked, “Let me get this straight, you snoop through the confession box and want to find out who wrote it, out of boredom??”
C00lkidd nodded happily, “Yup! And you guys are going to help me!”
“And why do you need us?” Mafioso grumbled out, trying to rub the sleep from his eyes.
“Because a good detective always has a good team with them!” C00lkidd exclaimed, a proud grin plastered on his face. He truly was determined to sort out this ‘mystery’.
“You aren’t going to let this go, aren’t you?” Azure growled out.
“Nope!”
John took a deep breath before sighing loudly, “Can we go back to sleep now? Bluudud’s already asleep on the couch.”

The last round of the day just ended with the survivors winning, yet C00lkidd still had no leads. He groaned and flopped down on the couch. C00lkidd might’ve underestimatied how hard being a detective was. Is this really how it goes half the time? Noli had opted out of helping… Making him even more likely to have written the papers! No.. It can’t be Noli, if it were, it would’ve mentioned the void star, Dad, blah, blah.
C00lkidd gasped as he sat up, and he could go around asking the others about their backstories! He climbed down the ladder of his bunk bed, getting a weird look from Princess as he practically ran out of the cabin. Bluudud, however, didn’t bat an eye.
“Uncle Jason! Could I ask you a couple of questions?”
‘What kind of questions?’ Jason signed as he looked down at the red kid.
“Questions about your life before you, y’know, arrived here!” C00lkidd said with a determined expression.
Jason seemed to think for a minute before motioning C00lkidd to sit down with him.
C00lkidd smiled brightly, immediately sitting down.
………
Turns out, Jason was not the mystery person C00lkidd had been looking for, which is sad, but it was honestly expected.
“You thought that Jason wrote that?” Mafioso asked, deeply confused.
“Cut the kid some slack, it perfectly well could’ve been Jason. We don’t really know much about him,” John said, his tone indicating his boredom, but no one commented on it.
“Seriously, why are we doing this again? Never mind, don’t answer that.” Bluudud mumbled out with a roll of his eyes.
C00lkidd giggled before saying, “Does anyone have any clues?”
“Well, we know for sure that it isn’t John, probably not Noli, definitely not Jason, or… Me,’ Azure said, looking over the papers again, the only bit of evidence they had to go off of.
“Whoa, whoa, how do we know it wasn’t you?” John questioned with a raised eyebrow.
“I was in a cult and was murdered by my partner.” Azure deadpanned.
Mafioso shrugged, “Seems valid to me. It also means it leaves 1x1, Noli… Actually just those two..”
C00lkidd shook his head, “Can’t be Uncle Noli, it would’ve mentioned my dad and the uhm- uhhhh… The void star.”
“Then we have our answer, 1x1x1x1 wrote it,” Azure said coolly, leaning back in his seat.
“But why would 1x1 use it? She was probably the most opposed to the idea of writing down all of our… problems.” John hummed, looking over at Azure, who blinked.
“It was probably just to uh…. Get things off his chest..?” Bluudud said with a shrug, his voice laced with uncertainty.

C00lkidd was tempted to go and talk to 1x about what they had written, but… It most likely will just push C00lkidd away and overall just be very avoidant about it. Perhaps even deny it.
No matter, C00lkidd climbed up the ladder to his bunk, Princess was already asleep, while Bluudud, just like C00lkidd, had just gotten into bed. C00lkidd made himself comfortable before closing his eyes with a smile. He felt proud of himself and his team; they managed to work so well together!
That night, C00lkidd went to bed while being greatly proud of himself for being a good detective.
